Karl Stallknecht: Potomac Elevator Company helped us out when we needed to run a new phone line into a very old elevator in a private residence. The old phone line got cut during a renovation project and needed replacement. We must have called at least 6-8 elevator companies, and none of them wanted to help us...in fact most of them never even returned our calls. Potomac Elevator Company was quite the opposite. They answered the phone immediately and had answers to all of our questions. One of their estimators was on-site the next day to provide us with a quote. The price was very reasonable. The team that performed the work was very knowledgeable. Overall, their entire team was incredibly responsive, super friendly, and very professional.

Fortunately Joshua was able to come out for a same-day estimate and scheduled work for just a few days later. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and left the space tidy after he was finished. George Grabow: Contacted Michael and Son for general plumbing and pipe repair in a location that had very difficult access. One of their highly experienced plumbers, Eric Blackmon, called and asked to see if he could come early. I was overjoyed as our water supply had to be turned off. Erick immediately assessed the situation and briefed me on some of the complexities and how he planned to proceed with the repairs. He kept me completely informed of his progress and asked me to inspect the project when completed. He was very knowledgeable and shared some of that with me. He then asked if I needed any other repairs work and then made some expert suggestions of other potential problems that I should keep my eye on. This was a very friendly approach with no pressure applied - information only, and I appreciate that. I will certainly ask for him for any future plumbing needs. Brittany Booker: Our service person was very nice and knowledgeable and completed the work in a timely manner. However, the work (electrical panel replaced) that was done to me is "incomplete" but according to M&S it is complete and we would have to get a "handyman crew" to fix the dry wall that the Michael & Son employee cut out and drilled back in a sloppy manner. I emailed Michael and Son's customer service and was told it's an additional cost for the dry wall to be fixed..usually costing $350 extra. Also, originally we were going to use their "leasing program" in order for this unexpected job to be completed. We asked every question we could think of to our service person and the bank they use for this program. It was not explained that if we paid it off early that there would be a "buyout" to complete the 120 month contract they wanted us to sign. ($10k total) This whole process to me was not very smooth and to honest "incomplete" due to the extra dry wall that had to be cut below the paneling. UPDATE 4/7/22 We were told the job was "complete" about a month ago, however when the Dominion person came out today to inspect the final project, there was a copper wire that wasn't grounded. M&S had to come back out and complete the job a 2nd time. Service: Electrical panel replacement or upgrading

Carol Willis: It is unfortunate that this company sends standard responses to complaints and does not reach out directly to the customer. If the person responding to my posting had taken the time to review my account they would see that I called and asked to be contacted by customer relations several times. I am stuck with this heating/hot water heating system that I paid $15,000 for and only worked for 3 months. I am very disappointed. This company installed a furnace and hot water heater system in November. Three months later I discovered water leaking from the system, there was water all over the floor. A tech came out on a Wednesday but was able to make the repair. The tech shut off the valve and had me turn off the system. He returned the next day and stopped the leak. Due to warmer than normal temps I didn’t realize the heat was not working and on Saturday morning the temperature in my house was in the 40s. A tech came out for the third time on Saturday but wasn’t able to fix it. I would have to wait until Monday. The tech returned for the forth time, was here for about an hour. He left saying that he thinks he knows what the issue is but it is 1100 on Monday and I am still without heat and hot water and waiting for the tech to return. I don’t have any confidence that even if this system is fixed that it won’t break down again. I began calling customer service on Saturday when it was clear that the system couldn’t be fixed. I asked for a replacement of my system. Unfortunately the people who could help were not available on the weekend. I waited until 8 on Monday and still had not received a called. At this point I was quite angry. I finally received a call back and I vehemently expressed that I wanted a replacement system. I was told it didn’t work that way and he wasn’t in the mood to be yelled at and hung up. I have been without heat and hot water since Friday and I am unsure when my system will be repaired.

Katherine Musolino: Our technician came for a check on our air conditioning system and was very thorough in the system check and the review of the recommendations, noting was was necessary to address sooner and what we could watch and address down the line. The technician was on time, very courteous, and pleasant to work with. He took the time to explain each recommendation and to answer my many questions. Christine: Michael & Sons has done my furnace installation and electrical panel upgrade as well as regular maintenance on my A/C and heating. They are always professional and are mostly on time. They could be a little better about cleaning up after themselves but it’s not a huge complaint since they do a good job on the actual project at hand. There are small things I wish they would be more clear about such as they won’t be patching the square they cut out of my wall to work on the electrical panel so I have to find someone to do that as I’m not handy myself. They’re not the cheapest service but they’re not the most expensive and most of their services have a pretty good warranty that’s included. Hong Qiang: Our 15 year old water heater had to get replaced and I was able to get next day service through online scheduling with Michael & Son. The technician came right on time. It was a big job to be done by one person not to mention he has to go get the new unit and to haul away the old one. 5 hours later our hot water system is back in business. R and D: Michael & Son - Plumbing – Shower Repair - 2/23/2022 The technician respected my property by putting on foot covers at the door (each time) and not parking in my driveway without asking. I appreciated that the technician followed health protocols for wearing a face mask. The technician asked about the problem and listened to my concern (“The shower will not stop dripping”). The technician explained his assessment of the problem based on his inspection and he offered a solution. He offered assurance that Michael and Son could fix the problem and the price (up scale) for the service. The technician completed the repairs promptly and professionally. After he completed the repair he showed and explained what he had done. While I am very satisfied with the completed repair, my confidence in Michael & Son could have been boosted higher if the specifics of the written warranty for the services and parts I received today was highlighted on the invoice. Bronwyn B: I was charged over $300 for a dishwasher "repair" that was totally ineffective. When I called to complain, was told that I would be charged $150 for a return visit. It took six phone calls to even get a call back from the tech. And my attempts to contact an owner/manager have been totally fruitless. This firm is incompetent and has no customer service ethic whatsoever. I would never use them again.

Rashad Rivera: Where do I begging? First, this contractor missed an appointment in where they asked for a 5 hour window on a Saturday, but did not have the certify to call and cancel or explain why they did not show. Then after confronting them about it, they said they are sorry, then called back and said the repair-man will be there in 30 minutes; 30 minutes after the initial 5 hour window. Contractor shows up reeking of armpits and says "Oh, so sorry. The part the manufacturer sent was a 3 valve in stead of the 4 valve you need..." So after he left I decided I was not interested in his services anymore and cancels the follow up appointment. Needless to say, I'm still waiting for my $150 down payment for the part. My 2 cents: Don't pay in advance. And don't expect your money back if you do.

They saved my laptop after I spilled water on it, I dropped it off on a Monday evening and it was ready Thursday morning for pickup. Will be back if I need any other repairs!

Madison Brumbaugh: I had an amazing experience with uBreakiFix, and particularly with Candice! Candice was super communicative and friendly throughout the process, always keeping me informed about what was going on. My laptop had been sitting around collecting dust for about a year, giving me the “blue screen of death” and an error message. I had tried to fix it myself but to no avail. Not sure how, but I guess once Candice was able to get past the blue screen and run the diagnostics on my laptop, it was all in working order. And I walked away without paying anything. ZERO DOLLARS. I will be recommending uBreakiFix to everyone I know! The easy scheduling, awesome staff, and free diagnostics will keep me coming back for sure!

Qiwei Wang: Just got my MacBook Pro back and had to write this review to thank the people here(they saved my life)! Dropped it on floor which resulted an impaired LCD and brought it to Ubreakifix, I assume it would take at least a week to get it fixed but it only took three days(dropped on Monday, Wednesday the parts that needed for repair arrived, and now I have it back on the same day). Faster and more satisfied than I expect with a fair price, and people there were really nice. Thank so much!

Alison Cohen: Candice is amazing!! I'd been having this mysterious issue with my computer that no one could figure out...and in two days, after researching various possibilities, she determined what was going on and fixed it! I paid nothing - somehow what she did was simply considered part of Ubreakifix's free diagnostic process. 🤷‍♀️

Djinni Field: I brought in a year old Nintendo switch that had suddenly stopped working. The staff was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. They were able to determine the issue and get back to me quickly with the problem and cost of repair. Ultimately decided not to repair because the cost was more than half the price of a new switch, but would have felt confident using their service.

Team World: STAY AWAY FROM THESE INCOMPETENTS. THEY RUINED MY EXPENSIVE IRREPLACEABLE PC AND GAVE ME A CHeap pc that DID NOT WORK. And it took them 4 months to finish this trainwreck of costumer "service". The worst experience ever. I was on the phone with them for 30 hours combined, they should be kicked out of business.

Rachel Neild: Candice is great. I had some slightly frustrating communication with another member of staff. But my camera was fixed in the two hour window promised and the hairline crack on my screen did not degenerate.

Fidel Quintela: Took my Pixel 3 in to replace a bad battery. Turn around was a few hours and work was flawless.

Joi Wright: So I like how fast they are with repairs but I have had issues since getting my screen replaced. My phone feels like it’s been hacked because the screen freezes, scrolls and types by itself. There is no water damage to the phone. When I went to take it back, they were like show me how it does that. But it happens spontaneously and often. Also, they stated I used up a lot of my storage. Well I cleaned my storage and it’s the same. I took it to an apple tech and they told me that it’s the actual screen repair. It has nothing to do with my storage. And now im upset because I knew it. My phone was not doing this before when I had the crack 😩. I truly wish they would have listened to me and actually tried to figure it out more. I appreciate how cool they were but the execution was not great.

Aviva Gould: Great and super fast service!! Very expensive and would not recommend getting a screen protector because it cost an extra $20 (my mistake), but great service would definitely recommend! My iPhone XR screen replacement was 135 but then 170 with tax tip and screen protector

Michael Baskin: HM repair provided speedy and efficient service for a cracked iPhone SE screen. I came here because of the positive reviews and was not disappointed. I reached out for a quote and they fixed the iPhone screen for the quoted price of $69. They repaired part of the frame to get a totally shattered screen replaced and the new screen works well. Very impressed with the quality and speed. Also pleased with their customer service. At the store, they up sold to a screen protector for $15. When I got home the iPhone screen protector was broken but they were magnanimous in resolving the issue. They do not have a warranty on the screen protectors sold. They’ll have you in and out in no time and take appointments which made the entire process seamless and easy. If I break another screen, I’ll return to HM for their service.

Joe L: Very responsive from the beginning. Worked with me to get me in on my tight schedule. Greatly appreciated. The office is nice and cosy. Work was completed quickly and screen seems to be operating as it was before it was cracked. I reached out to several other places before this one, some of the more popular ones and they gave me the run arounds. Quoted me a price of 400 dollars, which was more than half of what H and M charged. Not only that but the same place also quoted a repair time of 4 hours. H and M had me out in 20 mins.

Jasmine Pazmino: In my entire life I have NEVER, had a broken screen on my phone so when it happened to me I didn’t know where to go. Regrettably, I found myself in a situation where my phone screen cracked after being in my sweater pocket and getting in the car where is got slammed in between the door. As this happened on a Saturday afternoon, I began searching for repair shops late that night. That is when I found this GEM of a repair shop. I called them as soon as they opened Sunday morning and scheduled an appointment for that afternoon. It literately took me longer to get their from where I live in NOVA than it did for the actual repair!?! I was out in under 20 ish minutes! Pricing was upfront and the convenience and quality was impressive. I am so thankful and would totally recommend them!

Maria Camila Villarraga: I had the most amazing experience with the uBreakiFix location in Georgetown. Darryl went above and beyond, he provided excellent service, giving a prompt screen replacement to my phone, and solving my order request with utmost professionalism. Loved it! Highly recommend.

Jesse rector: I will say that my rating was initially going to be 1 star because the customer service line was not only unhelpful, they gave completely wrong information on three different occasions. The manager at the Georgetown location, Darryl, changed my opinion. He called me directly to talk through my issues amd then proceeded to fox the problem quickly, correctly and affordable. I would never use the customer service line, but will use this location for my needs from this point forward!

Charles Stewart: Location may seem hard to find but it is not. They had great service and fixed my phone issue in less than 30 mins. Probably less honestly. The employee that helped me (I believe his name was José) was very helpful and even walked me through the process it would take to fix my phone. I’m glad I found this location. I recommend this location and I look forward to coming back.

Alex Royf: My friend brought my pixel to be repaired for a screen crack and when she picked it up they gave her someone else's phone! Then once eventually got my phone back the fingerprint sensor didnt work AND the screen is misaligned so its hard to type. This caused so much frustration I highly recommend you find a better store to repair your phone.

David Isenberg: Yesterday I brought my phone in to have the battery replaced. I picked it up at noon today right after they opened. They did a great job. I would go there again.

Tim SIlva: They should call this place “WeBreakDelayFixingIt.” I took my phone in for a screen replacement on a Thursday. They said it would take 2 hours. Then they called to say they broke my phone’s battery and did not have the right type in stock, so had to order it. They expected it to be in the next day. Late the next day I had not heard from them, so I called and left a message. They did not return the call, so I went down there in person. They said the replacement battery had not come in but should on Saturday. But it didn’t, so the new expectation was Monday. But it didn’t come on Monday, either. I really was going to need my phone on Tuesday and was leaving town on Wednesday. So, I went down again, desperate, this time to take them up on their repeated offer of putting my SIM card into a loaner phone. But when they did this, my account was automatically canceled, and I could not make any calls. All along they had promised this as an easy solution and never warned me this negative outcome was possible. And it was my second wasted trip to their store. I left, still without any phone, very angry, hoping the new battery would arrive on Tuesday. On Tuesday afternoon it was finally fixed—5 days after drop-off, instead of 2 hours. (Clearly, they don’t do a good job of keeping enough back-up batteries in stock, and don’t have enough sources to quickly find parts they need.) The main manager agreed to give me a full refund on the repair job, but I had to ask for it. Someone who really cares about customer service would have offered this to me without prompting.

I really appreciate how fast and helpful they were. They genuine parts and do multiple tests to confirm that everything was I. Working order. Highly recommend coming to this location.

J W: Took my Note 20 in to fix the screen and I really appreciated that they took a walk in and didn't make me book an appointment. Overall very satisfied with the outcome of the screen, pretty much completely replaced the broken one with a new one. Removing a star for a little miscommunication on when it would be ready. Receipt said 1130, and I had to visit a few times before I switched to phone check ins. When you turn your phone in just call after 2-hours to see if they've completed the work. Their very responsive over the phone.

LAURA GRAJALES: The manager of this store, Darrell, had absolutely no idea what he is doing. I went to the location in person as a walk in. I had previously had my phone screen fixed by a an employee who was great and fast. I have no idea how his boss, the manager Darell, became manager because he did not know how to do a simple screen replacement for my iPhone pro max which has been out for over a year. How is it possible that the manager does not know, does not seem to care to learn and has never had to learn how to replace an iPhone pro max 12 screen. Clearly there’s no training going on at this store since the manager himself does not know how to do the job. He had no idea how to file a claim and also did not know how to fix the phone. He asked me to go to a different ubreak location or come back on a different day when his employee who actually knows how to do the job would be there. I could not believe what I was hearing and going there was a complete waste of my time.

They were extremely helpful and were flexible enough to stay open late for me. The staff was so friendly! I'm so thankful for this location and that it's close to home. When the repair was taking a little longer than anticipated (still within a reasonable time frame), they came out to give me an update and explained what was going on. Phone feels as good as new. Abi N: Welp, I scheduled an appointment on ubreakifix's website for phone repair at this location for 11 AM today. I got an automatic email confirmation after scheduling. I get there at 11 AM today, and see that the place is closed. I look at the hours listed on the door sign, and apparently on the days they are open, their hours are 12 - 5 PM. I wish I had known this. There's no reason I should have been able to schedule outside of those hours. There were definitely many other times available before and after their actual business hours on the website. Fix it please! (and I still have to repair my phone).

Steve Sailor: If you need HVAC work, STM is the company you will want to go with! I am an absentee owner who lives in Arizona. When the HVAC unit in our small D.C. apartment need replacing, I contacted Haile at STM and I could not be happier that I did. He took care of everything for me, including dealing with my tenant's extremely involved schedule and resolving an issue with the new replacement unit. Tgdarv King: My heat pump stopped working on the coldest day this winter. I called and a gentleman came out(I think his name Hale or Haile) within one hour. Danny Reeves: Haile, the owner of STM Services LLC is simply amazing! I've used STM Services LLC to install 5 new HVAC systems and as a preferred service provider for routine maintenance and repairs at the various properties we own. What sets Haile apart from other companies is that he actually goes about the business of troubleshooting yes "troubleshooting" a problem and trying to "fix" it as opposed to just recommending you just purchase a new system as many vendors do by default. What's also great is that he is knowledgeable of all things HVAC (boilers, traditional & mini split, hot water, tankless, etc systems). Great customer service, pricing, quality work, permitting and providing options within your budget.

Z. Melodee Hester: STM Services was dispatched to work on my central air conditioning unit through my home warranty company. From the initial contact via telephone, Mr. Haile was extrememly professional and accommodating to my schedule (which was amazing considering the high volume of service requests because of the hot temperatures!) STM Services maintained contact throughout my entire service time and Mr. Haile diagnosed the issue and carefully described what it was and what he was doing to make the repairs. I would highly recommend STM Services for any HVAC issue!

Amy Li: Would not recommend if you ever plan to switch to a different provider!!! I moved from NY to DC and wanted to cancel my account, as I switched to a different local provider. I have called 3 separate times, have been on hold for more than 1hr combined, and have gotten hung up on twice. When I finally connected with a representative, they said they would email me a return mailing slip to return my router, but they never sent that email, and now I am back on hold waiting for a representative. They truly make cancelling a headache.

Susannah Perkins: I've used RCN in the DC area on and off for about five years. Until recently, I could not have recommended them highly enough. Around the same time they became Astound, I started having DAILY service interruptions despite no reported outages in my area. These are not usually long, but they are still frustrating, and sometimes I will have several of them right in a row (so as soon as connection restored it would drop again.) I contacted support (which as always was a super lovely and painless experience) and a tech was dispatched, but the problem has persisted. I have made another appointment, but I had to add on a service protection plan in order to not be changed for the tech visit even though another tech had already one and failed to fix the issue. While I have been a long time customer, if this does not resolve soon I will have to find an alternative internet provider - I work full time from home and I cannot have unreliable service. I'll be sad to go as the customer service and technicians have always been so helpful, but at the end of the day they are an internet provider and if they cannot do that for me I can't stay.

phyllis richardson: The worst internet provider out there. I have 300 mbps and their services only work with prime video. It does not work with sling, discovery plus, paramount plus, Netflix, etc. RCN cares nothing about their customers and making sure their services work. It’s sad this building only offers RCN. Never had any problems when I was with Xfinity. I hate I moved. The building is beautiful but the services they offer is garbage.

Patricia D.: I've had the service since about January 2020. Initially, it was fine. Most recently, I contact tech support on a weekly basis. The service is now the shoddiest that I've ever had, and I mean since wifi became a thing. It goes out for hours multiple times a week.

moshe work: RCN was okay, but this company is terrible. They jacked up my internet to over $190 a month without me agreeing to that or even receiving notice. I promptly cancelled my service and switched to tmobile ($50 a month with no increases.)

deborah speight: Service was horrible, if I could give them a 0 I would ,rep said he could save me $75 dollars a month, only saved me $25, technician’s customer service was poor, left trash on my floor, couldn’t get TVs channels to come on, or Wi-Fi, left saying he would return in half and hour, never called or came back. Rep promised to get my landline phone number back, he didn’t, someone already had my old landline number, rep said cinamax was included with package, no cinamax…. Called RCN to come get their equipment and reconnect my old service, was told I have to call old service to reconnect me plus I have to fedex the equipment back to RCN, it needs to go in the trash along with the company! … one big headache!

A C: Pretty disappointing internet service. Have had repeated internet/wifi disconnections/disruptions over the last three months and the internet speed is remarkably slow — I’m paying for high speed service but getting ~1.3mbps on average. RCN has done very little to resolve the issue despite my repeated requests for assistance. I definitely do not recommend RCN to anyone.

Googled some shops in the area and stumbled across this place. Called and Mohammad said he could fix it in 15 mins. It took me longer to drive there than it did for him to fix my phone. He was upfront about prices and gave me several options that best suited my financial situation. Hope to never need another fix but if I do it will be there.

I bought some staff from him, very reasonable price and I have seen good customer service. I really admire him for what he is doing. However, the owner doesn't know how to communicate with customers with civility. He has premeditated characterization of nationalities of customers. He was livid when asked questions about the job - what he did? How he run the wires? etc He raises his voice and mistreat customers. He is cunning and rude person. You have no right to limit customer's questions or question types. Customers have full right to ask any question about the job. All I can say is that with this kind of temper, I don't think you can survive in this business.

You sure shocked me and made me cry uncontrollably and may you and your family never cry or be insulted like you insulted me for no reason. May God forgive you. May the $74 you took without fixing my phone give you and your family health and peace. Darkness can’t drive away darkness but light. May Jesus who is the light give you a good heart and may you not wound anyone else by insulting them because words can hurt people more than anything else.

Armani Jackson: This establishment WILL CHEAT YOU OUT YOUR MONEY!!!!! This is the worst shop I have even been to, this review is not false its my experience and how it went areb100% real l. I go to get my phone fixed with had a crack and flashing screen (nothing major at all) so the person who's there majority of the time fixed it. I come to get it, it was good until I walked down the st the back of my screen was peeling off and all I go back he say give him 2 hrs I'm like..... okay?? Come back it's fixed but the screen felt cheap mind you I had my phone for 3 years so I'll know. So I left it alone even tho I spend alot to get it fixed.. to find out he broke my phone more. My button sensors are not working and my screen was blanking out by then this my 3rd time calling about his work, he was very rude and when I told him what's goin on, this is literally his words not false stament, "I'm the technician, I know everything" but clearly doesnt if I have to triple back to your establishment. so 2 weeks passed phone completley stopped working and my screen was clicking. He told me "there is nothing I can do, passed a week" i said "even I'f you didnt fix my phone properly?" He laughs and say "ma'am we fix phones" so I said "if so why I had to come back to u 3 times to fix it (Samsung Galaxy note 9). I didnt even want to get it fixed again because he already messed up 3 times in a freaking day. He basically tried to play minds games with me like it was my fault. My only fault was that I didnt go to John a professional phone fixer out Md instead I went the the Southside where they take your money and lie to you and waited a week because I'm tired of having to travel back and forth on metro for a person to mess my phone up for the 3rd time. I wish I can post videos but I have pics from the past week. Keep and mind this is worse than before it was fixed.

Raquita Cooper: I really like their customer service; even though I didn't get my phone fixed. I can really appreciate the customer service experience I had there. Brittney definitely seemed well on her knowledge about the company, the policies and my alternative steps to resolving my issue best as she can . James was extremely pleasant when coming in and Cornell was super attentive to me and everyone waiting in and out side the store. They are extremely busy and I can understand why, they provide great service. I will be bringing my other electronics here so I can guarantee I will get exceptional service. Like I said they are extremely busy but customer service was great and that's what I look for in a business. Highly recommend.

Sean Blink: This a review more for the scheduling system rather than this actual location, which seems to be staffed by lovely competent people. The store hours changed but Asurion, the company that owns UbreakIfix still let me schedule an appointment for a time when they were closed. Pretty annoying, and concerning since this is, you know, a tech company. Geek Squad, here I come!

Diego Marroquín Bitar: I had a really bad experience at this shop. They initially "fixed" my cracked screen and charged me for a new one. The problem is that their replacement wasn't properly glued and it detached from my phone soon after. When I went back the guy was rude and uncooperative. I won't be using their services anymore.

Carsia Robinson: I have Home+ (great product honestly) to get two of my laptops fixed, they staff were open and kept me in the loop of things, gave me status updates along the way.

Patrick Kim: Similar experience to some other reviewers here -- they're an authorized Samsung Service Center but didn't inform Samsung that they changed their hours to close two hours earlier, so Samsung scheduled an appointment for me, which I arrived for on time, but the staff I could see through the window literally just shrugged their shoulders and pointed to the hand-written new hours taped to their window. Also, they're pretty hit-or-miss about answering their phones in a timely manner. And also not very knowledgeable about the types of Samsung phones (despite being an authorized service center).

John Doran: Holy cow, cannot thank the folks at this store enough for bringing a busted phone back to life. Wife dropped her Pixel 3a on Thanksgiving face down on a brick sidewalk and the image immediately went wonky and it was unusable. Called this store the next day and they made it like new in 60 minutes. Check out the before and after shots if you don't believe me. $130 for the repair and well worth it compared to traveling without a phone. Special shout out to Howard for being a real nice guy and making the experience super smooth!

Tesfaye Gari: I have a 3 year old Whirlpool Refrigerator and the ice maker stopped working. I called got scheduled but the technicians who came worried about only his $60 checkup fee and said the door needs to be replaced which costs $900 or more and additional equipments which adds up over the price of the refrigerator. Doesn’t worth calling Vision Appliance. I personally don’t recommend at all and if there was a zero star I would give that. Hope some one learn from my mistake
Response: We are sorry that you feel that way, but I need to clarify the status of your fridge. When the technician came to do the diagnosis, he realized that the problem was with the harness, some wires at the bottom of the fridge door were cut and that’s why the Ice Maker stopped working, clearly this usually happen because of owners misuse, by opening the door to the maximum extend and very strongly. The damage there will not be fixed by reconnecting or extending wires because it is dangerous and not reliable, since with the opening of the door the connections will expand again and get loose, this could cause an electric surge. The only way to fix this problem is to change the door, as the wires are permanently fixed to it. We have called you and left a message to contact us and we also offered to refund you the service charge of $59.00 but you did not come back to us. At Vision Appliance Repair, we take all reviews seriously and into consideration to improve our service, but we will not accept bad reviews when it has nothing to do with our technicians or service.

kerricha cox (Kasey): Vision appliance repair is a great repair company, they came did a diagnostic on our dryer. Within a couple days they came with a new motor and clean our our dryer. Now it works great. I am really happy with it so far.

D L: Loved RCN for many years until mid-2021. After many outages, almost always on Mondays for our set of units, we finally had several workers come into each of the three units. All they did was walk in, look at our modem, run a speed test, and leave. Of course we paid for each of those service calls. Magically the service was great for a few months until recently. Monthly service doubled after Astound Broadband took over. Service dude on the phone hung up on me the first time then was less than sympathetic when I finally talked to him. Use RCN/Astound Broadband for a promotional fee then switch to a better company after that has run its course. I am currently looking at other providers.

Guy Bradley: Do not make this mistake!!! I tried to switch over to RCN a few months ago. They tried and tried but could never get the internet working right. After about a month they said they were waiving the first month's service because of not being able to get it fixed. After month 2 I dropped them, turned in the equipment, and went back to my old provider (who then gave me a promotional discount because I'd been away for over a month). RCN then billed me for the entire two months which I paid just to get rid of them. THEN, after about four months, RCN contacted me with a letter stating that they'd turned a $25 charge for unreturned equipment over to a collections agency. I immediately called the customer service number listed on the notice but the agent could only halfway take care of the issue and I'm still trying to keep this collections from hitting my credit record. DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU'LL REGRET IT. When you look at their website take notice that they set it up where a person cannot leave a review so customers can see it. That is why I am review here and considering filing in small claims court.

Daniel Passon: I work from home and am currently recovering from surgery and cannot leave my walk-up. Which is why it is a problem that, with my internet experiencing frequent interruptions, RCN's response was to say that they can get someone out here almost a week from now. I never had any problems with Xfinity. If RCN does not remedy this immediately, I will be switching back, and I would recommend Xfinity over RCN any day of the week. I deeply regret switching and cannot believe how much the extra money for Xfinity is worth it, especially with all the hidden and extra charges RCN imposes. Update: Still no reliable internet after a week! It was faster to get Xfinity out here to switch than to get RCN out here to try to fix this then continue to deal with this indefinitely, so switching this afternoon!

Kegga99: RCN/Starpower Cable used to be the best around. Now they are the worst. I was a customer for over 20 yrs. Now, the equipment is antiquated, the quality only gets worse and the price continues to rise. They make the bill purposely confusing and constantly change the undecipherable billing. My new service sends a bill that is plain and simple. No playing with the numbers. I have Fiber Cable now, I'm paying half the price and the service is significantly better. RCN gouged me for all they could get at the end, but I was just happy to move on and get much superior service. P.S. Don't believe the Company's response. They had no interest in resolving the issue. They just wanted to look good on here.

MaryAnn Griffin: I have been an RCN customer for 6 years and each year the price creeps up with no increase in value or services. Reaching a customer service rep takes so long it is maddening (and that is before the excuse of Covid). Any time I would call they would thank me for my "X years of service" but NEVER offered to upgrade services for that loyalty. When a service was needed, the technicians NEVER came within the scheduled slot and were often rude and unprofessional. When the bill finally hit $190/month (15% increase "because it was January", according to the customer service rep) for slow internet, about 10 tv channels and home phone, I bailed!

Ed Barber: The response was prompt, and service was restored though it took longer than initially estimated -- probably because it was an area problem, not one confined to us. Chrissy Fiore: Phone screen was replaced within a few hours with pick-up and delivery service of the device. The cost was comparable to any other repair shop that I got an estimate from in Washington, DC to replace a cracked phone screen (except without the hassle of going to a repair shop). Highly recommend!

A. S.: If you have an iPhone and need your battery replaced, I’d suggest you go the Apple store. I got mine replaced here 6 months ago and the battery never worked as well as the original. It currently only lasts at the most about 6 hours after being fully charged with normal use, requiring me to charge it several times each day, and battery health is already reduced to 91%. Not sure if all batteries here are like this, I got a dud, or something else is going on with one of my apps (not seeing any red flags when looking at app battery usage). Also realized afterwards that battery replacements at Apple are actually less expensive than here. So no reason at all to not just go to the original manufacturer and know for sure you are getting what you should.

Alexandria Williams: Was exceptionally communicative and responsive. Repaired my computer quickly and the price was very reasonable. Since they complete both software and hardware repairs to all digital devices, I highly recommend this repair person.

Siobhan Rohan: Hidden gem on Columbia pike! I’ve gone to this place twice now- both times I have received exceptional service. The owner is extremely professional & reasonably priced. The last time I went, I had called a UbreakIfix for a quote to fix my broken iPhone as I have just moved 30 minutes from Columbia. They wanted to charge me 3 times the amount, keep my phone for a minimum of 5 hours with the potential of keeping it a few days & they tried to con me into buying a new iPhone battery. I called my tried & true place where he explained everything & fixed my phone in about 30 minutes for 1/3 of the price. I will definitely keep driving the 30 minutes to this location. Jim Ying: My kid’s iPhone 8 was water damaged. No matter how Apple Genius Bar and several repair shops tried to rescue the phone, it just could not get out of the recovery mode. Despite one of the shops told me no one can repair this phone, I kept calling around without much luck until I spoke with Gal at GB Wireless Cell Phone Computer Repairs. From my initial brief phone conversation with him, I felt he is a guy who has some exceptional experience that gave me some hope. I was convinced his repair shop would be my best bet. I decided to drive for 40+ minutes from Maryland to Arlington, VA and dropped off the phone. I called for a few times to ask for the progress and realized there were a lot of troubles with this phone. But a week later, he called me back and told me the phone is repaired and ready for me to pick up. And he charges a very reasonable fee. Imagine how much those Apple “Genius” guys would have costed me after this amount of work was done to save the phone. I’m really impressed with Gal’s skills and fair price, and he was very pleasant to talk with. I highly recommend this repair shop and will absolutely go back to him if I need to repair anything again.

Allison Greenday: These guys are lifesavers! My phone’s charging port got dirty and it wouldn’t charge. After an initial review and quote to replace the part, they took it back to the tech for one final confirmation, and they were able to quickly clean the port and fix the problem. They then refused payment when I asked what I owed. Very friendly and I will absolutely be going back if I ever have another tech problem!

Jeffrey Frank: Reasonably fast, easy, and misleading service. First, it was not possible to make a claim on site, and I had to leave and set up a claim online before returning. This was not such a big deal. Second, the store clerk did the usual rush through to sign off on service and disclaim this and that - even bending the long receipt document over for signature and claiming that it was just to acknowledge receipt - but did not disclose a really major issue with the repair. I had a Pixel 6 screen repaired. These phones have an IP68 rating, so I expect to be able to at least get it splashed with water without it breaking, and I had literally used the device in and even underwater many times before repair. Two days after repair, water spilled on the phone, and it died. It wasn't submerged or soaked; it only had water splash over the surface. That's it. Dead. Seems like something that the repair shop would want to disclose, right? Didn't happen.

Rohan Pinkney: Cracked my screen on my Samsung Note20 Ultra 5G. I thought it could not be fixed. Made an appointment and when I got there I did not have to wait long. They told me it would be about 2 hours and they had it ready in less time than that. When I called they actually answered the phone. No long wait time if you call to check the status of your device. Phone looks like new and this location is located right off of Pennsylvania Ave. and 8th Street. Definitely would use them again. Great experience.

miss g: Sunday evening I requested a mail in screen replacement for my Samsung Galaxy S8. I recieved a call from the company the next day letting me know the process and the price. I printed out the paid shipping label and sent my phone Monday evening. Wednesday I received a call saying that they had received the phone and were starting the repair. An hour later I received another call saying the phone was all done and I needed to make the payment which I did Wednesday evening. I then received my repaired phone Friday morning. It was a very easy process, it was completed in less then a week and they communicated every step of the way. I would definitely use them again.

SuperSpeed21: Was easier to get my screen repaired over dealing with my service provider due to how easy it was to set up an appointment and get my phone back within an hour of wait time.

Kevin Brown: Took my son's Nintendo Switch in for repair. Paid 50.00 to have it looked at. I got a call the next day that it's ready. The 50.00 went toward the cost of repair, only to be told it was a dead battery issue and no additional cost are required. Some other companies might have still charged some repair costs. It's great to know honest companies still exist.

Manush Mobarhan: I initially had a great experience here last fall, they fixed my cracked screen quickly and efficiently. However, in the next few days I noticed that there was a problem with the new screen in which occasionally when I pressed my power button, the screen would light up but it would not fully turn on. I would have to press the home button several times for the screen to fully turn on. I took my phone back to the shop within a couple days. Since the issue only arose occasionally, it did not happen while we were in the store. They said they would not replace it unless the problem happened in store. In the next couple weeks, the problems with the screen got worse. It would begin to glitch at random times and the sensitivity of the screen greatly decreased. I took my phone to the shop again, this time with a video of both the problem of it not fully turning on and the glitching. They once again refused to replace the screen unless I could make the problem happen in the store. Fast forward to the present, my phone screen has quickly deteriorated to the point that I have to get a new phone because this one is rendered unusable. I'm disappointed that this happened because I was initially so happy to find a place with quick and affordable screen replacements.

All of our screen do have a lifetime warranty against any manufacture defects as long as there is no physical or liquid damage. I do see in the notes that your iPhone 11 had also been previously repaired at another shop. It makes it a bit difficult to do a warranty repair if we cannot duplicate the problem in store however if only the screen is the issue we will gladly re-replace it for you at no cost and make sure its retested again. Please do stop by at your convenience and it should not take longer then 30 minutes to replace the screen under warranty. Thanks in advance. -Ali

Katie S: ~definitely call first~ Made an appointment online for a Samsung S20 5G screen repair to hopefully ensure the store would have the part in upon my arrival. I missed the appointment and called to apologize and asked if they had already gotten the part. They said they would order it upon the work deposit. So I gave a $100 deposit on a Thursday morning, the part arrived late on Friday so I went in first thing on Monday and they fixed the screen and I paid an additional $213 for the part and labor and a NeoFlex screen protector. I then noticed that my front camera no longer focused correctly and I went in on Tuesday and they were late to open by 1.5 hours and the samsung tech wasn't even in that day. So I went in on Wednesday and waited for the samsung tech to arrive, also 30 minutes late. He looked at the camera and told me that they could replace it for free and order the part but I don't live in the States and couldn't stay around for a camera replacement part. In the end, he gave me $30 back. I'm sad I spent a large portion of my vacation in this Mobile2Mobile and that my phone came in with super minor cosmetic damage and now has real functional damage. They are nice people but not so punctual, I would call them before walking in.

David Felts: Mobile2 Mobile is a life saver! I dropped my phone on day-one of a seven day work trip to DC. I was resigned to spend the entire next day at [nightmare carrier's] store and spend the ~$1K for a new phone, when a friend recommended Mobile2Mobile. I walked in about 30 minutes before closing with a busted phone - cracked screen, unresponsive display - and zero knowledge about what was wrong. The employee was unbelievably helpful and explained the possible issues with my phone and the costs associated with repair. If he were annoyed that I was coming in close to the end of his day, he didn't show it or rush me. He told me it would take him ~30 minutes to diagnose the issue and either fix the phone determine it was beyond repair. Fortunately, when I came back, the phone was in perfect working order. He even fixed something we had not discussed without adding costs to my ticket. Finally, he helped me understand the likely causes and helped me adjust to prevent going forward. Wish I had known about Mobile2Mobile the last time I had a phone die on me.
