James Bacon: Nice shop with a great selection of current comics and graphic novels. Some nice displays and thoughtful art on the walls. Not a back issue store, per se, they had recent issues, and a solar box, but ample to enjoy and find, excellent selection for kids. Friendly staff for sure.

Andy Benavente: Awesome shop! Great selection of graphic novels and current comics! The young woman behind the counter was very helpful and provided some great recommendations from the writer of the book I picked up. Would highly recommend to stop in and check out!

Paul Scarborough: Polite and quiet staff offered help that much I can say. 1st and last visit I shall do however, no stock of anything. Find it amazing a comic shop has only 3 issues of something so common and popular a character as Spider-Man. I’d describe this more as an indie comic book shop carrying more less popular characters. Hardly any backstock and the stuff they did have was shoved in a box and damaged without bags and borders

Kevin Xu: Great selection of mainstream and emerging comic artists, with a wide variety of genres. I personally got a copy of Djelia by Juni Ba, something you can't get from a Barnes and Noble or Books a million, atleast in the NOVA area Staff are super helpful in trying to find what you're looking for, and the hallway always smells like fresh bread thanks the Subway nearby

Michael Kellar: Awesome little comic shop. Friendly staff, comfortable environment to look around, read a comic, and explore. If you’re in the area and looking for a space to check out some of the more recent interesting comics, definitely a good spot to check out.

J Foodgeek: Good selection, but mainly I'm rating it well because the two kids working there today were super nice and willing to talk about anime. Today was the first time I went there. They even have a few board games. Also, there are sometimes some freebies on the left when you walk in, like I saw a movie poster once, a marvel calendar once, and they usually have den of geek magazines out.

Ian Grossberg: Wonderful comic shop with such a wide selection in such a small space. And apparently Big Planet does their own publishing!

Frank Chatterton: Nice, small, actually smaller than I expected but nice selection particularly for indy and local books. Not really worth the trip out there if you are an out of towner... like myself but the walk there from metro service is nice and the store is well kept, clean, organized and well stocked with a nicely curated selection of books. (I do not mean nice in a mean way its more like a cute hipster version of a classic comic shop)

Marissa: Great place to get comics, they have some good manga too!

Leo Lancaster: great selection atmosphere! The woman running the shop was very kind and knowledgeable.

Howard Smith: Big Planet Comics on U Street is amazing. They have a large selection of comics, trade paperbacks, and more to choose from. They also have variant covers of various comics that might interest you. This establishment is also for both new and regular comic fans alike.

Kristian Kapler: If you're looking for trades, you may find what you need. Recent issues are fine as well, but there are NO back issues or any kind of memorabilia. So if you live in the DC area and wanna keep up with the latest Alien comics by Marvel I think you'll be ok.

Nicholas Moy: Best spot in the city hands-down. Love the local zine rack, their community focused events and helpful staff. This is NOT the straight-white-man hellscape of comic shop cliche - its apparent they work hard to find content for all audiences. The spot is small but they can order whatever you need!

Terri A: Great selection. I found a number of graphic novels that I have been looking around for, as well as being introduced to several new titles. The comics are shelved by genre, which is really helpful. I was particularly impressed by their Graphic Medecine selection, as those can be hard to find. You can also flip through a rack of comic zines. The store is up a steep flight of stairs and definitely not wheelchair accessible.

Kevin Duy: i bought two comic books for 8 bucks! one was crisis on infinite earths and the other was avengers reunited. good energy for comic book fans.

Jonathan Brier (wolfgang8741): A very small comic shop, but contains a fantastic variety in the available space. It is purely a comic and graphic novel shop, if you're looking for a selection of collectables, board games, an other entertainment gifts found at larger comic book shops this is not the location for you. The shop is a mere two rooms in what appears to be a converted row house that contains other businesses as well. There are fairly steep stairs for entry into the building.

Steve Carle: Friendly helpful staff. Huge selection of Magic and pretty good selection of Pokemon. Tons of singles as well. They do Magic drafts Friday at 630 and Sat & Sun at 12. There was also a big table and boxes of discount stuff.

Ted Kidwell: Went to the shop on Tuesday for the first time picked up a couple nice items and we already gone through the make an appointment to meet with her appraisers to sell some items and we did pretty good there too they are very knowledgeable staff and they are fair on their prices and they're good on what they offer you as well they have toys and games and surprisingly some items that you wouldn't think they would have had if you're in the collecting Market to comics and toys for games and that a little trinkets give them a try here we like them they're very conveniently located easy to get to and easy to find you'll be very pleased we highly recommend

Robert: The folks at this comic shop are the BEST! My daughter and I came in because she wanted “a nature comic about sloths” and I was looking for some of the new Magic the Gathering cards. After we completely befuddled the friendly person working the front desk, my daughter took a seat to rest and I went card shopping, figuring such a task would not be fulfilled on this day. Well, as the equally lovely person at the rear desk answered all my questions and showcased various products, the valiant front desk attendant tracked us down with A NATURE COMIC WITH A SLOTH IN IT!!! Quest fulfilled! Not only did my daughter get her comic, but I pulled some truly exceptional cards from the bundle I had purchased. Five stars are not enough for this crack squad. Kudos all around.

David Collier: A very well organized store with a great deal of selection. Only issue i had was when I dropped off some MTG cards for possible sale and was quoted $300. Sold the same cards to Card Kingdom for over $800. Either that final sale was far too generous or Victory low balled their "offer" in an attempt to pull a fast one. If you're looking to sell a collection, always get a second appraisal and offer. Lesson learned.

Daniel Hernandez: The staff here are the worst. They treat you like trash even when you're a paying customer. They roll their eyes and get mad when you ask if they have a product. I walked in for the first today and I was so excited and amazed. Gots a few packs and the staff was rude to me and my brother. The owner needs to know his staff treats his paying customer like trash. I'm never going there again. The place is nice but do not expect anything for the employees.

Vinny Sivaraman: Big store. Very good selection. I bought quite a few Pokemon cards for my Son and some other items I haven't really been able to find online.

Tom Luna: I’ve played a this location several times before however last night was my last one. I don’t like writing negative reviews unless people really deserve it. First of all the prices on single cards are very high at this location compare to other stores and on TCG but that’s not why I’m writing this review the main reason I gave this location 1 star is because of Steve the guy who runs the magic events. He is arrogant, condescending, rude and disrespectful I guess he forgot the people that play at this store pay his salary! His demeanor and attitude is awful he acts like he is doing us a favor by him being there! Unfriendly and unapproachable. Next time I’m Norther VA I’ll go to the store in old town Fairfax. I’ve been playing magic since I was in the Army and I had the opportunity to play in different stores in different states but this guys attitude is by far the worst and like I said IT IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED.

Jake Davison: Very nice comic and hobby shop in Falls Church. They have a great supply of new and back issues of popular Marvel/DC and more. I would say that their prices for back issues are a decent bit higher than surrounding shops however. But a counterpoint is they seem to have a larger collection due to it. Lots of various collectibles, statues, and action figures ranging from GI Joe to Star Wars and more. They also have a nice gaming section, with lots of D&D, and also one of the few stores to carry Star Wars Armada. Only other negative is that there is very limited parking. Staff was very nice, but didn't have much interaction due to it being quite busy on a Saturday.

Brenna Miaira Kutch: Fantastic local comic shop, very LGBT friendly and selections for all ages, plus a ton of board games, figurines, and other fun collectables. Staff are super nice and if you're looking for something, you can call ahead and ask or they'll order stuff for you. Support local businesses!!

Nicole Woodworth: Absolutely amazing game store! The best one in DC!!! Everything is organized and easy to find, very reasonable prices, wide variety of board games, tabletop role playing games, Magic cards, Pokémon Cards, and more!!! The whole staff was extremely friendly despite being busy and took time to answer any questions we had. 10/10 highly recommend!!!

Drew Carlisle: Really helpful staff that can always give suggestions appropriate to what you're looking for, a great selection of games and puzzles, and they have a dedicated section for kids. Would recommend and will return. Ask about their loyalty program and you can also browse their online store to have them pull your selections ahead of your arrival if you're not wanting to just come in and browse. Buy local :)

Brandy Clements: The BEST store for puzzles, games, etc!!! Seriously me and my husband went shopping for ourselves, our 2 year old, and 6 year old and we ended up spending an hour just looking around (we bought way too much stuff too lol) the staff was SO sweet and knowledgeable. I overheard many conversations with other customers "I have an 11 year old girl who likes X, Y and Z what would you recommend?" And they knew exactly what to do and say. Aaron Bailey: I had discovered his computer repair shop a few weeks ago while I was already inside the store looking to buy a cellphone. I remembered this place because I have an old Lenovo T430 laptop computer that has had a problem with the lid hinge. The e hinge is very loose, and even though it still functions, I have been concerned that one day the lid will no longer close properly. So I did a quick search on the Internet, and noticed this place has been receiving some negative feedback. I wasn't sure what to do,because most of the other computer repair shops were quite a distance to where I live. This place happens to be very close. So I figured I would give this place a try anyway. I went and spoke with the nice lady behind the desk and explained the situation. She indicated to me that the eir shop doesn't perform repairs on systems that are more than ten years old. But she was kind enough to give me some helpful suggestions about some repair shops who actually do fix older computers. I thought that she was helpful so I wanted to let people know that they are not hat bad!

Ricardo Smith: Great experience! I promised myself I would not return to Best Buy because of a bad experience I recently had in Virginia, but the Geek Squad here was a totally different case. Abdul did an upgrade to SSD on my laptop right in front of me and explained the whole process as he was doing it. It tool less than 10 minutes! And the Geek Squad here didn't try to nickel and dime me like other locations with less than friendly staff. Leo helped me pick out the SSD and was really patient with me and didn't try to rush me into any buy which I really appreciated and ultimately, I ended up spending a bit more because of this and was happy to do it. Great guys, 5 stars!

Surinporn Bridge: I want to start off by saying that I really appreciate having a local comic book store in the neighborhood, I've been coming here for years on and off to buy independent graphic novels. For the most part the staff is friendly or leaves you to your own, however last Saturday I had a rather frustrating experience that left me feeling deeply uncomfortable as a woman and lover of comics. A super friendly and helpful clerk there was trying to assist me in finding graphic horror novels since they didn't have any of the titles I came in looking for. He brought up some half priced comics from the basement and out of the handful of options provided I only wanted one of them. I also picked up two full price comics from upstairs. However, when I went to go downstairs to return the half price novels I didn't want to buy (in an attempt to also not offend the clerk who had recommended them to me) I was immediately met with accusatory hostility by a person I am assuming is the manager or owner. He immediately accused me of trying to take merchandise downstairs for criminal purposes and then continued to give me the third degree while I was at the register just trying to pay for my books. He asked why I was going to the basement with upstairs books, I had gotten the downstairs books upstairs without going down there since he had clearly been watching me. As a woman in a space that was entirely populated by men, it was HIGHLY uncomfortable. He made sure everyone in the store heard his interrogation of me and I felt like I had been being watched by this person since I stepped foot in the door. He questioned every action I had taken within the ten minutes I had been in the store. When his own clerk tried to explain that he had brought the books up for me, the owner/manager still continued to question me as if I had done something wrong. I was so stressed out and overwhelmed by the experience that I didn't even notice him charge me full price for Harrow County, a comic that came from the half off section. After looking at my receipt I realized the error but was too uncomfortable with everything that had just happened to go back in and get my money back. I don't know if I'll be coming back in after this experience, which is a shame because I've bought some of my favorite books from here in the past.

Abe Garcia: I just moved to Md and was looking for a comic book store and this happened to be down the street from me, i was actually happy to see the amount of selections they had and i didnt have time to explore their downstairs although i was intrigued and hoping to be back. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.

Jason Strachman Miller: The whole family enjoys visiting Alliance. The staff is more friendly than most comic shops and they have a nice-sized kids section. The basement has great deals if you've got time to look through the different sections.

A Google User: Their downstairs area kept me coming back. Of course they have all the new stuff upstairs, loads of stuff, but downstairs was a huge collection of $1 comics and other great deals. I found a TON of old classics and obscure comics i could never get my hands on in the wild, there! I had a blast going every now and then and loading up a bags worth of comics i wouldnt normally be interested in, but for $1, and the fun of searching what seemed like thousands of comics to build my collection, it was always fun! Unfortunately I have moved out of state years ago. Thanks to Alliance Comics, I be sure to check out my local comic books stores whenever i move or travel. Sadly for me, Alliance was the best and ive yet to find another store that offers older or obscure products - everyone just has stock of whats new, which 99% of that stuff doesnt interest me, or the expensive, highly sought out classics like #1 issues. Alliance has that too, but being able to find mostly 'forgotten' comics was always fun. If i recall correctly one of the employees mentioned they buy bulk collections, which is why sometimes thered be a ton of batman, or a ton of spiderman, or a ton of warhammer even. Great collections. As far as the rest of the store - great selection of everything. I'd go for myself, to see what random goodies i could find downstairs, and usually end up able to find a thing or two for myself upstairs, and/or gifts for friends too. Best comic store ive been to.

TJD: Glad that the store is there for Silver Spring. The staff wasn’t the friendliest either time I came in to ask questions though. First about a she-ra comic and then a second time about the surrounding board gaming community (sometimes comic and fantasy board game communities intersect).

J R: They have an upstairs and downstairs, posters and a lot of comics. You gotta check this place out. If you see Deadpool with the alien face hugger, then you're in the right place. Want My Hero Academia figures an books also, they have it. Pleasant readings!!!

Marcela: I absolutely love this comic store! They have so many selections and they also have a good selection of manga. The staff is so friendly! If I want to get a comic book that they don’t have in the store they end up ordering it for me without me having to buy it first and they call me once the book arrives at the store. The books are also in perfect condition, the pages are super crisp and the layout of the store is amazing cause I get so excited when I turn my head and find more books I didn’t think to grab. The downstairs is all discounted comic books and they have so many to choose from. Highly recommend this store! Support your local comic book store

Peggy Denker: Geeks on Site is a total rip-off. I called about problems with my computer (shutting down spontaneously, screen going wobbly) and asked for a home visit to diagnose the problem. They insisted on using a remote hook-up, charged me $179 for a one-week "trial" and said they would send a tech to my home if they couldn't fix it through a remote connection. Well, they used a remote connection three times and it wasn't fixed. Yet still they refused to make a home visit. When I insisted that a home visit had been promised as part of my one-week trial, they offered me dates that were outside the one week period. How can they be computer experts if they can't figure out hardware issues? And how can they diagnose hardware issues if they won't make a home visit? So I never got anything from them and I wasn't able to get my money back. All they ever did was play with my computer remotely (including removing malware protection software I had installed) and try to sell me a one-year plan. Hard sell. Don't use them.

Unfortunately you have left a review for the wrong company, we do not offer remote services of any kind nor do we offer any one week trial's for $179. It would be best if you could leave a review for the actual company you worked with so they can respond and take some corrective action. The best way to identify them is with the phone number you called and/or exact web address from an e-mail received by the company. There are lots of companies using the same name or similar names, making it difficult to just reply on the name "Geeks on Site". Could be this company given the same price point: https://www.geeksonsite.com/product-category/service-2/. But I would rely on the contact information you have been using to work with the company. B J: zero! no stars. I purchased a computer for my daughter in late august 2021. it stopped working in early October. we returned to the best buy location near daughters college. the people there could understand what was wrong. They said they would send it to 'the factory' for repairs because we do not have a best buy warranty. It was under the manufacturer warranty. Naturally we believed they would send it to the manufacturer in accordance with the warranty. They did not. They sent it to the geek squad city in Kentucky and proceeded to repair the computer. we got it back and it did not work. so we went back in, they shipped it off again. came back and it still didnt work. and this time the best buy guy, Colton had tried to turn it on and found it not to work. we never even got the computer. He sent it back to geek squad. All this time we were under the impression it was at the factory. But it wasnt. It come back to us on January 8 2022. still not working. we returned to best buy. they say they will ship it out again. However, after the third return I started looking into what was going on. turns out best buy lied. They sent the computer to geek squad and did not inform us that they never sent it to the factory. in conversations with lenovo I have been told that because geek squad is a third party repair my warranty is now void. And the replacement parts from geek squad are only good for 30 days. after that I have no recourse. I have worked to escalate this but have been cut off by the facebook chat because they say I do not have an account?? We have purchased computers for years from BB This is completely unreasonable. Furthermore, the State College store is saying they will do nothing but continue to send this to geek squad until its fixed or 'junked out' by lenovo. But Lenovo has nothing to do with the repairs. The initial repair ticket with lenovo is in the books on October 12 2021. It is also canceled on that date. And now I have no computer and no recourse and no warranty, and no ability to get any corrective measures because everytime I attempt to escalate the issue I can only get to another national repair person. So it goes no where. So buyer beware. Go to costco. Just so incredibly wromg.

Nolan Rudman: I created a Best Buy account just so I could leave a review on their website about my experience at the Geek Squad counter today and decided to leave one on Google as well. I had been going back and forth over the phone with other companies about how to resolve the issues I was having with my laptop. I ended up getting scammed and suckered into purchasing really expensive software that did absolutely nothing to resolve the issues with my computer and when I called another company they tried to sell me more software saying the other program I purchased was useless. It took extreme will power not to throw my phone through my computer screen. As a result of my frustration I decided to go to my local Best Buy and talk to a real live person face to face I spoke with Ian at the Geek Squad counter and he was extremely helpful, patient, and answered all my questions! Honestly this was the best experience I've had with talking to a tech support representative, EVER. I will definitely be going back to this location for future computer issues and electronics purchases! Thank you! - Nolan

Blood Sausage: I needed assistance with replacing a pcie x 16 riser cable for my graphics card. They looked at it and said I’d have to replace my whole motherboard. These guys have no clue what their talking about. Please for the love of god don’t bring your computer here for upgrades or technical support! Use a locally owned computer company.

Farhan Thura: Paid ahead of time for simple rear view camera install, but they refused to do the work, manager just shrugged. Now must get a refund if possible. Thanks for nothing, will never return and recommend avoiding at all costs.

Ariel Y: Stay away! They rip you off! I went to Geek Squad to clean my labtop due to a virus and it was expense. A week later, they tell me I need a certain disk to restore windows to its first state and I had to pay more money! I got it back 2 weeks later, grand total: $700 at least. If you wanna go get your computer fixed, keep off of Geek Squad!

The team was able to access the hard drive and transfer data to a new laptop with the new device ready 2 days earlier than they estimated. Very happy with the service and the great communications about status.

Judith Cho: Needs to Go in Alexandria, VA, helped immensely with my computer transfer from two old devices into my new one. They taught me many new things about how to set up and use the new machine. They took the time to install all my software and get my accounts all squared away. They are very professional and took my computers in to their shop right away and began working on them immediately. Nicholas Sanchiz: Really satisfied with the service and with repair provided here. My Tower died after a power surge on Christmas Eve, and while it wasn’t the worse thing that could have happened on Christmas, it still kinda sucked… I brought the computer over the following Monday morning and by Tuesday afternoon it was fully fixed. The turn around time was impressive and they overnighted the part I needed and fixed it ASAP. The technicians immediately knew how to fix the machine (even going so far as to test out my GPU with me). All in all a good experience and I recommend them. Don’t think I could have gotten it fixed that well and that fast anywhere else.

Colleen Boles: I've had a great experience with Computer Nerds. Most recently, I called upon them because I was experiencing problems with an offline printer that I couldn't solve and problems with syncing Outlook and Gmail. To my surprise, they were able to come out the same day I called and it only took an hour for them to resolve the issues on two laptops. I still have more time left on the package I bought over a year ago. I liked the professionalism of James and this business's responsiveness. Taharah Islam: My MacBook Pro has been constantly crashing and restarting and its battery capacity was significantly reduced. So, I took it to Geek Squad to have some diagnostics run and to hopefully have the battery replaced with my parent's protection plan. They didn't have the battery that I needed, so I was told to order it off of Amazon on my own and bring it to them. Meanwhile, they kept the computer for two days to run their diagnostics. I came back with the battery and they said it would take another day to replace the battery and run additional diagnostics. I came back the next day, and absolutely NOTHING was done on my computer. They claimed that they "didn't have the tools" to replace the battery or do anything. They just handed me the computer with no additional explanation as to what was wrong with it and told me to take it to Apple instead. It wasn't easy being without my computer as a full-time student, and the fact that the staff was confused with what was even going on during the 3 times that I came in was even more frustrating. It was like they'd never seen a MacBook Pro before. Also, good luck trying to get ahold of them by phone. This place doesn't take calls anymore for whatever reason.

P W: I'd like to give a higher score, but a '1 star' was also possible. Here's why. Good luck if you try to call the Bailey's store on the phone--numerous tries over the past 5 or 6 months to no answer. Why is that? Then 2 weeks ago, I needed a replacement power cord--waited 10 days, delivery was 5 days overdue, & after talking w/6 people (no exaggeration) via the '800' #, I gave up, drove in and waited until they found a used cord--better than nothing! If this is the level of service I can expect under the warranty & expensive Geek Squad renewal rates, I'll pass. I hope the college student next to me in line got his missing computer back -- he'd been waiting for it to be repaired (also under warranty) for almost 4 weeks! They couldn't find it--amazing! Geek Squad has some good staff, I'm sure, but they've gotten too big, too 'corporate' & their customer service has tanked on too many customers-- that's a shame. Not renewing.

DH Funkhouser: This was a complicated sale. I had some requirements that aren't normally issues, but the salesman took the time, changed the order for me, got it right, and was courteous and patient throughout. I had found the same product elsewhere for slightly less, and they matched the price, just as they said they would. I got the Geek Squad protection plan, which they said would cover this purchase and even other purchases made elsewhere--and they did. I was amazed and grateful, and I'm using my old laptop that they fixed for me! I recommend Best Buy without reservation.

Sandy: I dropped off my RX100 camera in July and they disabled the tracking number for it AND took down their e-mail since then on the site so a few weeks later I had to call to figure out what was going on. The representative said that whoever took care of my order shipped my camera to a computer repair place that was in a completely different state from the camera repair place and that they'd get it sorted out. I've called again since then and after getting put on hold for half an hour they said the company will call when they're done with my camera. It is October now and I just called again today and was put on hold for 15 minutes only to forward me to the automated message asking me to rank how my experience was when no one even answered my call. The people running this are clearly disorganized, I would go to a different Geek Squad.

KellyJeanne Pyne: Geek Squad is a bunch of people that have basic skills and no people skills. the warrenty Best Buy sells is worthless on most things since the "Geek Squad" can not tell if something is broken. i had a bad Bluray player and they wanted to send it off to get fixed. this is a piece of equipment that should be replaced on the spot not sent off. what a worthless group

Cindy Calhoun: If I could rate them a ZERO I would. We purchased a new laptop and along with that a service agreement for Geek Squad for $199. I took my laptop (which the plan covers) and waited 4 days to get it back. All I asked them to do was to fix all of the different web sites that automatically pop up that I don't open. I have a wonderful malware service so that was not a problem. No viruses, etc. After waiting 4 days, I picked up my laptop to a great unwanted surprise. Not only does it continue to do what it was doing when I took it in, but not when I turn it on it takes forever and then a black screen comes up that I cannot get rid of. We were so frustrated we called to cancel the $199 service contract. Interestingly enough the rep who helped us said that they have a lot of people cancel. I think the people who work there just like playing around with computers and therefore, call themselves skilled techs. NO WAY!!!

Dorian Stephens: If I could give this a zero I would. I took my computer (Dell XPS15) here a few months ago and after paying $149 for a diagnostic they told me that I needed a new hard drive for my computer, which they didn't sell. So I went on Amazon and bought a new hard drive and decided to use Amazon's computer tech service. Turns out that my hard drive was completely fine; the real issue was a bad Windows update. So, for the love of God...never ever take your computer here. They will overcharge you and lead you astray....you are better off finding a local computer shop to resolve your issues.

Winifred Scott: I honestly do not like to leave negative reviews and I really truly have to be bothered in order to do so. This location *thumbs down*. I will say that I was taken right at 6 pm which was my appointment time. This is about the only good thing I have to say. My repair begin at 6:45 pm. I was told 1 hour for the repair. I got back to the store at 7:40 pm at 7:50 pm the technician let me know that my phone would need to be master reset OK no problem. That was suppose to take 15 - 20 minutes - ha! 1 hour and 45 minutes later I have a new screen but the phone now can not be restored. My phone worked perfectly fine functioned well now all of a sudden it can't be restored. I wouldn't be so upset if the rep would have just been honest an hour before then I could have made better arraignments scheduled an appointment at the Apple store something. It took me walking back 4 times to get an update before he decided to say he had no idea how to actually figure it out. The store closed at 9:00 pm at that time it was 9:20 pm I then told him to leave my phone alone and close me out that took an additional 24 minutes. My daughter and I did not leave that store until 9:45 pm. He said to me the screen works the phone just can not be updated. Well Sir I plugged my phone into iTunes updated/restored it and as it turns out the screen DOES NOT WORK. Go figure. Save yourself the time and irritation GO TO AN ACTUAL APPLE LOCATION!!!!!

Gautham Kolluru: The one star is because there’s no option to give a zero. They make you come again and again Whatever they say the first time will not be the one they say next time They don’t what they’re talking. They’re not bad they’re the worst I’ve seen by far. They even keep you waiting for long durations to get their manager, just imagine how irresponsible, unorganised and senseless they’re. I’m not sure of other geek squads but this one, please don’t waste your time visiting this. Worst response, terrible service and sheer waste of time and money.

After an hour trip to the nearest store that would accept my pc I was told only then about the $200 required membership to even see my pc. D S: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Valuepopped in without appt and repaired in 5 min. it would have taken me days to try to figure out how to remedy my computer situation. I always get very valuable and efficient help. I love this place.

gabby cat: My computer no longer recognized my external hard drive and it contained some important files. So I took it to Geek Squad in the hopes that they could help me. They spent 5 minutes looking at it and then told me it was basically dead. They said they could send it out to try to have the files recovered but there was no guarantee the files could be retrieved. Plus it would cost me between $500 to $1000 to do the process. I told them I would think about it. A few days later I took it to the Best Buy on Shady Grove Road to have the Geek Squad there take a look at it. They changed a few of the settings and then showed me all my files were fine and undamaged. I took it home and made back ups of all my files. Go to the team at the Shady Grove location. They are great.

Jon C.: While my ASUS laptop from 2012 had an integrated graphics card issue that could not be solved due to the lack of parts for its age, I was assisted by Tim and Jeff over at Geek Squad to get a newer Republic of Gamers laptop that was on sale + open-boxed!! The overall kindness from these two, being attentive to my computer issues and guiding me through the process (even though in the end, the older laptop could not be fixed) is reason enough for me to give them both a pat on the back!

Michael B. Rubin: Overall I find Geek Squad members very good technically, respectful, and friendly. Occasionally something has not been done to my total satisfaction but they have always eventually fixed whatever problem there was.

Rob: Best Buy is an “authorized Apple repair location” so I decided to use their location to replace my IPhone battery. Long story short - BIG MISTAKE. I had set up an appointment the day before and arrived 10 minutes early. After waiting approximately 15 MINUTES just to be seen, I am then redirected to another area to go. After waiting 10 more minutes for a representative, I am then told that they do not have any iPhone battery’s in stock. I then ask to speak to the manager “Ron Basso” and he tells me that essentially there is nothing he can do. I am extremely frustrated by the experience and would like to be compensated for my time.

Yevgeniya Abramzon: Called to cancel my phone warranty. Instead they cancelled warranty for my husband's phone that was purchased two weeks ago and claimed that the warranty for my phone was cancelled a year ago for non payment. Nonsence! Never acknowledged that they made a mistake. Horrible service, horrible company. Never again I will purchase any service from Best Buy Geek Squad!

Carmelita Austin: Very prompt courteous professional knew what the problem was immediately glad I had this service

Pine Forest: They do not repair computers at this location. They use to some 10 years ago but not anymore. They will send your pc to their service center in KY or elsewhere and charge you a non-refundable fee of ~ $85 for shipping. At the service center, they will prepare an estimate to repair your pc and this estimate will be the same or nearly the same as the cost of your new computer. You will decline their ridiculous estimate and lose your $85, not counting losing ~ a month of your time without pc. This is what happened to me. Avoid this service my all means.

Glenn H: My ancient Gateway XP laptop developed a problem, so I took it to this Geek Squad location for assistance. As it turned out, the problem was easily corrected (setting the right check boxes, etc.), and it was simple enough that the staff fixed the computer and didn't charge me anything for their help.

Matthew Schumacher: Best Buy is great as everybody who has ever gone to one knows. We stopped in to Best Buy to price some washers and dryers for our new home. They have fair pricing and what is even better is that they have a 4 week turn around time for the LG washer and dryer we are interested in. From what I hear from others, delivery for a washer and dryer is extremely delayed from most other companies. Having a 4 week turn around time is all the more reason for us to purchase our LG washer and dryer from Beat Buy.

Michael Patrick: Good experience today when buying products in store while waiting for an online order to be fulfilled. The product I ordered online was ready for pickup in 15 minutes. I was greeted by staff when entering and exiting. The store was clean and organized. The staff at checkout were fast and polite.

Caitlin DePorter: Do not get a car radio from here. The $500 jvc radio I got stopped working after several months of having it. I then had to get on a waitlist that was several months long before they could “fix” it. Well finally the car is brought in and they say they don’t see anything wrong and reboot it and send me on my way and suggest it may be a phone issue. I got the managers card in case the radio wasn’t actually fixed. The issue has persisted even after getting a new phone and they now refuse to help since I am outside of the one year warranty, even though they didn’t fix it to begin with when I brought it in within the one year. Complete waste of my money and now I have a non functioning radio Edit: Best Buy told me to do a software update but there’s no software update available for this model. They are clueless and I wish I had gotten it somewhere else.

Ellen Savage: Placed an order for curbside pickup. Text telling me my order was ready did not contain instructions on where to park. I figured out pickup orders had to be picked up from parking garage, which is a paid garage. Waited 28 minutes for my order to be brought out, then when leaving garage I had to pay $3 for parking because I was in garage for more than 15 minutes. Horrible experience.

Sarah G: Absolutely horrible location. No signage to the ACTUAL store entrance. Curbside pickup is In a parking garage, so how exactly do you notify them via internet/app that you're "Here, in Pickup Spot #2" if your signal is sketchy? I got enough signal to pull up my order & check in, but system said it was having problems & I needed to come inside anyway. Would have been easy to do if there were posted directions to the actual store. Employee that checked me in for Order Pickup at the counter was negative & gave me false information. Employee that helped bring order to car (finally) was helpful. Didn't catch his name. Have to pay for parking no matter what, even for what should be a quick curbside pickup. Shop other BB locations unless you're staying local & walking around Crystal City & just buying small items.

Carol Spalla: Be aware of "subscriptions" sales. This review is not at all related to the team who actually helped me and found everything I had to buy. This review is specifically to call out and call the attention to future customers who purchase anything at any Best Buy. I spend nearly $ 2,000 tonight and when I got home, I realized they added this "total tech yearly subscription" for $200 (!!). I never asked this and, in any moment, the details of this offer was explained to me in detail. Brandon was a nice store seller but I really felt cheated and I am disappointed with Best Buy for being so close to sales malpractices. When I reached out to support, via chat, they refund this service but still kept $7 for 1 day of this subscription use. It's been 5 hours I left the store. I did not use this service at all!! And though the Customer Support representative Vicky D. was very effectively and patient with me, she also did not explain to me that they would keep the $7. Again, I am feeling that Best Buy is training and enabling their staff to omit important details during sales and customer support interactions. Very sad and frustrating. It's not about the $7 - its not going to make me richer or poorer, but it's about transparency.

Lyn G: Mohammed was amazing in helping us set up our new phone and made sure we understood the entire process and answered all of our questions. This is refreshing to have such amazing customer service which seems so rare lately. Great job Mohammed !!!

Carla Dunlap: I recently purchased a elliptical fitness machine. Best Buy delivered it and assembled. I am so happy with my investment. The service was excellent.

Lauren Wiseman: Terrible customer service. They were rude when I declined buying any any additional things like protection and anti virus. I bought a computer there and they refused to validate my parking ticket, and didn't offer any further information. I will not be going back to that Best Buy.

Swami Reyes II: I was attended to by Mr. Raul. He was excellent and very forthcoming with detailed information about the surface pro's I was looking for. When I asked about the limitations on softwares the devices could run he did not hesitate to expand his knowledge pool to answer my questions; both through research and referral to the in-store geeksquad. Thank you Raul, your guidance has lead me to an excellent purchase.

Laquitta Smith: Best buy waa supposed to deliver oven, confirmed appt twice and on the day of delivery got a calk saying 10 minutes away. Then return call saying they sidnt have oven on truck after making me take off work ti wait hours.

marcus rochester: I contacted the representative Wayne about data transfer late on Friday and was informed he would have ready by 5pm and if I could not pick up then then on next day. That day Saturday not a normal day to be open but I was able to pick the laptop. He was professional in my initial contact and my expectations were met. Well done

Garry Taylor: My wife and I own an HP ALL IN ONE desktop that started to constantly glitched and on for no reason. Thinking that the Geek people at Best Buy was the answer to our issues. They took about two weeks to fix what i thought was the problem. They really acted like they was doing us a favor and that costed $300.00. When we got our back it seemed to work OK long enough for the warranty to run out. Best Buy don't even consider all the money you spent over the years and wanted to charge another $300.00 thinking that they have a monopoly on computer repair. Went on the internet and found the Gadget Guys. Within a week, he traced to problem back to us downloading Windows 11 that was the cause of our problem that cost less than half of what I paid Geek Squad (I will never give them my business again. He will be getting all of our computer bu5 with from now on!!

Donald Bell: Gadget Guys has been my goto computer company for at least 3 years. Wayne set up my server, replaced my office computers, laptops etc. He services hardware and keeps us safe from viruses and cyber problems!! He is a small business answer to all computer needs for a reasonable cost. Call Wayne and Renee!!

CarlosZilla: I had an absolutely horrible experience. The short story - it took them 2 months to "fix" my macbook and in the end they still messed the motherboard up so it's now ruined - paperweight. The long story - I took my 2015 macbook air here because it wasn't turning on/water damage. Apparently they don't service macbooks here (or at least the 2015 version??) so they sent it to Florida. The Florida people took their sweet time - they would order the pieces needed to fix and would take weeks to do it. Wayne barely kept me in touch, I had a schedule where I could call once each Friday for an update. They "fixed" it one month later so I went in the store... wasn't turning on.... so it had to be sent to Florida again. Are you mad for me yet? So ANOTHER month passes for them to "fix it". Wayne is kind enough to give me a $30 discount (which he switches to $25). Anyways, at the store it turns on. Week and a half goes by... IT TURNS OFF AGAIN. At this point I do a chargeback on my credit card and decide to take it somewhere else... they find that whoever previously fixed it didn't close up the motherboard correctly and effectively fried it (I believe that's what he said but I'll find out today and update if it's different). Changing the motherboard would cost $450 so it wouldn't be worth it for a 2015 macbook. So they ruined my laptop. I'll buy another one, but not before I gave "The Gadget Guys" a bad review.

Almira Robinson: I was highly satisfied. Wayne got in touch with me in a timely manner. I was given a quote, and he was honest about the time frame of getting back to me. The deposit is reasonable. I was called back in each step - what was wrong, if I wanted it repaired and when it should be ready. The price was reasonable and the customer service was great. I was nervous about putting my computer in the shop. Wayne made me quite comfortable that it was okay to leave it. I appreciated that comfort. I would recommend this shop for your computer repair.

zerofire66: I dropped my computer off on Monday and got it back a few days later. The prices were very fair and the customer service was great. They kept me updated on my PC and the cost of what needed to be fixed. I will defeintly come back here if I have anymore computer issues.

Alena Neves: I highly recommend Gadget Guy, Wayne. He is so incredibly reliable and talented. He can fix anything. I have brought him several computers, mac laptops, everything, old ones and he's fixed everything. No job is too big for him. He's a genius. My computers were operating, slow, and my kids had dropped syrup in them. He fixed them. His advice has helped me tremendously and I highly recommend Wayne, the Gadget Guy. His turn around time is also not long and he works with your schedule. I won't go anywhere else but Gadget Guy. My sister recommended me to him and I m glad she did. I coolant find anyone to fix my laptops and computers and he's the only one in this area who could fix all of them. I would highly recommend Gadget Guy. I have been a customer for 6 years now so I know. My laptops work like they are brand new and they are old thats how good he is! Don't wait call him now. I will be using him again and again.

Erik Bauer: My PC laptop completely crashed and, despite having some technical ability, I was unable to get it to work again. Luckily, I found Gadget Guys and now my laptop is like new again. Wayne was extremely responsive and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend their service and will return again if I have computer issues in the future.

Greeneggs& Glam: I wanted to wait a week before writing a review. MR. WAYNE IS EXCELLENT !! I've been trying to fix my MacBook air for about 2 years now . A friend referred Gadget Guys to fix it and within 2 weeks my Macbook was fixed. Mr. Wayne communicated with me throughout the whole process. not to mention the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Gadget Guys for any electronic issues. Thanks Mr. Wayne

Rosalyn Smith: I was very happy to find The Gadget Guys after being very dissatisfied with another local computer shop. They were truly a lifesaver especially during this pandemic when a lot of places are closed. Wayne was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and very accommodating to my sense of urgency in needing my laptop back quickly. I chose this place based on the reviews and I have to say I am very pleased with the service I received. I also purchased a MacBook and some body butter from his lovely wife.
