Ryan Ellis: I ordered a succulent garden to surprise my wife. The arrangement was awesome, but the plants were not doing well after a couple of days. I contacted Urban Jungle. They delivered a brand new garden and let me keep the old one. The new succulent garden is doing much better. Good customer service!

Justine Williams: Very disappointed! I was excited to find Urban Jungle online and to see that they could deliver a fabulous plant to my colleague for her birthday. I received an invoice and receipt confirming that it would be delivered by the end of the day on a Friday. Not only was it not delivered (missing her birthday!) but it is now the following Wednesday and I haven't been able to reach them on phone, email, or text. If they could have atleast contacted me to let me know there was an issue I would have been understanding, but the ghosting makes it feel very scam-y. I've contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge.

Caitlin Hone: I ordered a Plants that cost nearly $60 from this business in April and never received it (it’s now August). I was not refunded my money and I have never been contacted by the business though I have emailed and called and texted them. I understand that the spring was an incredibly difficult time for everyone but I was still charged money for a product that I never received.

Nicole Choi: I gave Urban Jungle a chance because of their prices, but I had a very poor experience with them. I ordered a plant to be delivered on Monday, and I received no confirmation, even through email, about my order being placed or an estimated delivery time. However, I know my order was processed because I was charged. During their business hours, i tried calling and texting, as they suggest doing in their voicemail, but I received no response. I have no way of knowing if my order was actually delivered or not, yet if I reach out to the recipient, it’ll ruin the surprise! I was using Urban Stems, but again, I have Urban Jungle a try because of their competitive prices. However, the customer service is so poor at Urban Jungle that I’ll be going back to Urban Stems.

Josh Higham: Terrible experience. Ordered a couple of plants for a coworker whose surgery keeps getting postponed because of covid-19. The website was slick and everything seemed good--they even offered free delivery! However, they won't answer my calls or emails, and the plants haven't been delivered.

Amal Omer: This is a shoddy service that should be reported. My order was delivered a day late. I received no confirmation of this until after *I* followed up TWICE. They also delivered the wrong plant and the message was printed with *multiple typos* (despite me noting this prior to the delivery). I have followed up multiple times to get answers but have received no response to my emails, there's no answer to calls, and the vm box is full. I have also reached out to my credit card to dispute the charge. I regret using the service and do not recommend giving them your money. Make sure to review the other low star ratings below as you will see they had a similar experience to me. Totally ruined the experience of wanting to send someone a thoughtful gift. This is zero star service. DO NOT USE THEM.

Danny Peters: I wish I would have researched this company before ordering. Went purely based on social media. Ordered a plant for Christmas, to be delivered on Monday the 23rd. It never arrived. And just like all the other 1 star reviews they don't answer the phone, don't respond to texts, they don't respond to emails, and don't respond to Instagram messages. The website has NO information about any minimum days for delivery. You just pick a date, and the confirmation just says it's good. Maybe if I get my plant I will adjust this review, but the lack of information on the website and the non-existent customer service makes this place difficult to give the benefit of the doubt. Just give me some sort of correspondence, please.

Metta C: Updating to say that they fixed their mistake and ended up delivering the flowers I ordered later that week. Apparently there was a technical problem with their website. I ordered an early Mother's Day gift for my mom to be delivered yesterday (Thursday) and it was not received. I've called twice now and emailed with no response from the establishment. Terrible customer service - if you are not able to fill orders, please do not have a shop online that states that you will. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

Janelle Joslin: Wish I could give this company NO stars...Do not order from Urban Jungle! I ordered an arrangement to be delivered to my daughter for her birthday and it never arrived. I've received no response from phone calls, or various texts and emails over the last week! Charges have been disputed...now off to find something else to send my girl...a week late, mind you :(

Timothy Meyer: Same experience as many others - I ordered a plant for delivery, it never arrived, and I never heard back from Urban Jungle in any of my attempts to contact them by phone or by email. They ghosted me and it really bummed me out. I'm happy for those who did receive their plants and liked them though, I really am.

Sassy Sauce: Great discounts on Christmas items as part of the holiday sale. I picked up Christmas stockings for under $5.00. There were fire pits on clearance as well. I like this location and they generally have the items I’m in need of for repairs or decorations, etc. The staff is very helpful as well.

Stuart Miles-McLean: I don't like all the self check out lines which are killing jobs. They did have things I was looking for in the wild bird and critter section, but it appears they need more employees -- all over the store -- to keep the inventory organized and properly shelved and labeled. The employees I did encounter were very helpful and friendly; it just looked like they need more of them.

Kev- keepingitreal: This location offers a variety of affordable items for your home improvement needs. I really appreciate the staff in the aisle for assisting me with finding items on my check list. At check out the cashier was welcoming and friendly. This store was very clean and offers plenty of parking.

Jessica Fullington: Today I went to the garden center for some outside plants. Yolanda was so very helpful! She was able to answer my questions, she even went and got me a cart so that it was easier for me to get the items I purchased to my car. It is so refreshing to have people who are pleasant and helpful at their jobs I will definitely come back to this location to get all the plants I need this spring! Marla was very helpful as well along with the young man who answered some of my questions about my plans. All around a wonderful experience!

goklt: Lots of materials here. Check out was fast. However good luck asking for assistance. Lots of associates are walking around but not helping customers. I tracked an employee down for assistance in moving materials from a high shelf to store level in the door section. He called two times for assistance to my aisle but no one came and he advised going to customer service. They called and still no help. Had to track somone down in a different department altogether. Crazy.

Chase Johnson: The employees here are courteous. But the wood cutting service they claim to offer is not available when needed. The store should just be candid that wood cutting won’t be available (or at the very least won’t be available at any specific time). I am a local DIYer (not a contractor). Before I bought wood I asked about cutting and was told it was no problem—buy it and then request a cut. I did. I was then told the lumber associate wasn’t available for an hour. I couldn’t get the wood (a single sheet of plywood I needed to cut in half) into my car, so I waited. After an hour, there was still no lumber associate, so the wood was never cut.

N R: Terrible customer service. Returning an item took 3 months of repeated calls to schedule a pickup and even when Lowe's had the item back multiple calls were needed to secure the refund. Such a hassle, so worth avoiding! The third party delivery service that they use doesn't turn up in the agreed time slots so it's very easy to miss them and then get stuck in the web of calls that are required to reschedule.

Annie Signorelli: I ordered a dishwasher with professional installation and the process from start to finish was completely nontransparent and unprofessional. The installation had to be rescheduled because the dishwasher wasn’t pulled down for pick up in time, and then when it was installed it was the incorrect dishwasher — not even the right brand. After several hours on the phone with the Lowes installation line, including being told multiple times that they couldn’t advance the process because they couldn’t get in touch with anyone at their own Lowes store, I called the store directly and was able to sort it out and get the installation rescheduled. A Lowes associate later told me that they don’t have the “luxury” of waiting on hold with the store which is what I had to do in order to ensure my order was completed. Finally the correct dishwasher was installed on the third attempt and I was told I could contact the installation line again to discuss compensation for the inconvenience. Again it took multiple attempts to even get an update on where my case stood, despite being told every time that I should expect a call back “by end of business” every day I called. When I finally got offered compensation it was for less than half of the amount I requested (I requested the installation service be refunded seeing as it took 3 attempts and I was the one having to set everything up because Lowes did not follow through). While I am satisfied with the product I am in disbelief at how difficult and unprofessional the process was with Lowes. I do not recommend purchasing appliances from installation from this store or using the Lowes installation services.

Conchita Coney: Excellent but one of the employees didn't know what he was talking about whereas getting parts for a 2019 torro self-repellent lawn mower. He told my husband and I to go to store name Grainger on MD 202 they are either closed or permanently shut down.

Elizabeth Ramming: Assistance was top notch!! The gentlemen working there were very polite and helped me a lot with specific questions. HOWEVER-- However, I needed lumber, a 1X6 piece. What they had in stock was WET. But oh! I found 2 dry pieces at the bottom. But alas, don't be happy for me. Those pieces were warped in both directions - both along the length and width. That's it. So, shut up and buy it, or fight DC traffic to go someplace else. Both of those options were the absolute WORST. Why was the wood wet amd warped?? ... Duhhh. How utterly stupid.

Sebastian L. Cooper: Ordered a small arrangement as my partner started as a teacher in a new school. Gave a base flower and some colors and they NAILED THE REST. It was beautiful and my partner was elated! It was even completed way before I was scheduled to pick it up and resting in a fridge. Excellent service and will be using them again!

Jacob Rosenbacher: Hurts me to put this business on blast — it’s local and in a difficult industry. Moreover, this specific business has overcome generification. However, I had the worst flower shop experience of my life here. I waited to speak to a sales associate and I was mocked when I gave my description of the flowers. Not once, not twice, but three times. The colors I was looking for “earthy tones” are “exactly what all flowers” look like… fair. However, I was pretty understanding but it was said very harshly and not humorously. It was nothing but pretentious especially from this preppy older white dude in a cardigan. I then tried to describe it again, “something very natural looking and duller tones”. I was unceremoniously met with “all flowers are natural”… thanks dude. Suffice to say it was rude, 100 dollars for a smaller bouquet, and the selection was terrible compared to all other flower shops I’ve visited. Btw to the guy who reads this, I’ve walked into a dozen other flower shops… no one else thinks this is a poor description.

Joanna Obuzor: I purchased flowers for my friend's birthday. She never received the flowers. Lee's said they were delivered; she works from home and nothing came that day. When I called to let them know, no refund was offered. I'm out over $100 and my friend didn't get the gift.

Daria Kirilenko: Nice people and pretty flowers. But the peonies were $16 a stem. Still decided to treat myself and got a dozen. Flowers sadly lasted only 2 and a half days and that’s with me cutting the stems and changing the water. Just sad…

E C Wallman: I called on Saturday and spoke with a representative to place my "Birthday Balloons" order. The Balloons were pretty expensive...I had ordered balloons on Tuesday for delivery; these I was picking up. When I got there, I found that the young lady had placed my order incorrectly...hence why it was so expensive. While disappointed, because I thought I was pretty clear about what I wanted, I brought the balloons to my office. Today, I return to the office to find ALL of the latex balloons deflated, laying on the chair! It has been just 24 hours since I purchased these balloons--I would expect that these would stay inflated for at least a couple to few days. I am very disappointed...as these are a gift for someone who had a terrible "actual" birthday and I was trying to brighten his spirits--I don't think deflated balloons will do the trick! He is coming to my office on Tuesday to pick up these sad little balloons. I guess I will have our receptionist cut off the latex balloons and HOPEFULLY the Mylar balloons will still be inflated. Not what I would expect from Caruso.

Ron Moses: For those with loved ones interred at Arlington, Caruso’s is a veteran owned florist with a very excellent record and quality, much better than any other in the area, and can do a regular or scheduled service to Arlington. I first found Caruso’s a year ago when we needed a florist quickly on a short notice to produce a number of bouquets for my father, MgySgt/SgtMaj Herbert Moses, who passed away Nov 5th 2020. Not only did they do an exemplary job, they did so with care and speed. It was such a great job, that I have a standing order of flowers to be delivered every two weeks to my father at Arlington. I was originally concerned that Arlington groundskeepers would remove the flowers after a few days and was super surprised to discover the flowers are still there after a week (see below). I’m not affiliated with Caruso, they don’t pay me anything, and they didn’t ask me to write a review. I just read the last guy’s review complaining about Latex balloons not lasting a weekend, and anyone with kiddos knows that they don’t last but a couple days esp when it’s cold out. Not fair of a review for a truly great florist (and not a balloon shop). Thank you so much everyone at Caruso’s for honoring my father with so much care.

Geawna Hernandez: I ordered flowers for my grandma and her friend while they were on vacation in Washing DC. It was also harder on me since I've never been to the area let alone know anything about florist in the area. They made it SO EASY! Everything from placing the order, to delivery... was great! Ellen McCrea: Update with further info: Order Info: Order # 66522 Received confirmation email from Caruso Florist and Flowers The quick delivery and quality of the flowers were excellent. However I specifically ordered the Blue Sapphire Deluxe because of the blue and white flowers advertised as they were for a Johns Hopkins University graduate. Unfortunately there were NO blue flowers in the arrangement at all. I am unable to attend my daughter's graduation next week because I was suddenly called to AZ to care for my terminally ill mother. I'm sad that I can't be there to celebrate my daughter's hard work and to have the flowers be wrong was so disappointing.

SHEENA BAILEY WILKERSO: This place is absolutely lovely. They have a variety of many plants and flowers. From the moment I stepped into the store the employees greeted me and they met my need. Honestly, the store is so comforting and so is the service here. It was worth every penny and I definitely will be back!!! The flowers are sooo beautiful; I just know my mom will love them

Mike Jobbins: UPDATED. Just dropped in, and they have a new café menu, run by an Ethiopian/Japanese couple. Ethiopian coffee & homemade sushi join sandwiches and smoothies. Cecilia Gaultney: This nursery has disappointed me. I was so excited initially, but then my plants started not thriving. That happens sometimes with a change of location/environment so I was patient and did everything possible to make them happy. I bought a gorgeous begonia from them that died in 4 weeks. They over-fertilized it (which made the bloom so impressive) but in days it started showing leaf burn. I couldn't save it as hard as I tried. A rose I got from them was also not looking great. It was not putting out new buds or stems, and it was yellowing. It ended up to be spider mites. The spider mites then spread to my nearby plants. (I know I didn't have spider mites before the rose because I have a pretty controlled environment - a balcony - and no other plants changed.) The spider mites have taken over my elephant ear and tomatoes and have been very hard to knock back. I have one plant left from them. It's a maidenhair fern. It's not put out any new stalks. It hasn't died yet but it certainly isn't a very healthy plant.I have 20+ other plants that are all doing just fine so my conclusion is that I got unhealthy plants from this nursery.

Maggie Quinn: I used to hear people talk about how American Plant is a little pricey but good quality and was scared off. Early in the pandemic when stores weren't open, I ordered some perennials from an online store out if state and was unpleasantly surprised when they arrived and were TINY. Now, I view American Plant as a great value for good sized, healthy plants. I love their large selection and helpful descriptions. I can always find quite a few good native plants, which are always labeled well to help me find them. They have very good social distancing measures that make me feel safe shopping there. Makes me happy to support a great local business.

BRT: Lovely inventory and perfectly located in the heart of Bethesda. You'll over pay but worth the comfort. Staff is always ready to lend a hand.

Tracy Needham: I think they have just about everything you need in terms of plants, herbs, etc. Staff are friendly for the most part. A lot of times you have to track someone down if you have questions. Parking is awful. I would never go on a weekend due to parking.

Shannon Jennings: I love the selection of decorative pots and other home items here in the inside store, who ever purchases for this place has great taste and does a good job curating for different styles. The outside section here is a little overwhelming if you don't know what you're looking for, but staff will help you if you need guidance. I have had some hit or miss customer service experiences here, but I think the majority of the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and do their best to jump in if you want help. It's a mixed bag but mostly positive. Just as an example, I was here recently buying a bunch of pots and miscellaneous stuff, and the person who rang me up completed the transaction and then wordlessly meandered away. There was too much stuff for me to carry, and it was not bagged up because of the odd sizes of the items, so I said to a different cashier, "I"ll be right back, I will just have to make two trips to take this stuff." Another girl jumped in and cheerfully offered to help bring things out to my car. So... weird customer service from the person who rung me up(?), but excellent customer service from the girl who carried stuff to my car :) I am deducting one star because I recently bought an outdoor hanging plant here and it literally shriveled to dust and died the next day. I specifically chose this hanging plant based on the recommendation of a friendly staff member who said it would do well in the shady area of my porch. I am not a plant expert, but I do have a lot of indoor and outdoor plants and am not a complete noob -- I have no idea how it's even possible that this thing died so quickly :( Otherwise, I have only good things to say about this place and I always look forward to going here. All of the indoor plants I have bought here have done well without pests or problems. Great selection, and usually pretty good service.

Pam Clark: I called late in the morning to have a birthday bouquet delivered to my daughter the same day. The lady on the phone was kind and super helpful; I asked them to just create a colorful bouquet for me. She made sure the bouquet was created in time to be on the delivery truck. See the picture from my daughter with the following comment: "It is a major wow; absolutely one of the most stunning bouquets I've seen. So colorful!"

It was not even close to what was pictured on the website and the flower looked like it wouldn't make it through the first dance. I frantically looked online and found Petals Ribbons & Beyond. I called to see if they could accommodate my need for a boutonniere. It was Friday afternoon two hours before my daughter's date planned to arrive and 30 minutes before Petals closed. I spoke with Ms. Sara and she was amazing. She told me to just come right over so she could help. I arrived to meet her and her assistant along with a couple of her cheerleaders😉. Ms. Sara saved the day with a simple yet elegant single white rose boutonniere with a ribbon to match my daughter's dress. I had a chance to chat with her and learn that we both attended Spelman College. It was truly devine intervention 💙

She is even sending a picture of the arrangement to me once it is finished. Wow. Sometimes blessings come in unexpected ways. Connor Black: My friend is a former employee at this establishment and I decided to post this on their behalf to protect their anonymity. First off, HR is prone to scheduling shifts at horrible times with little regard for the time you will have between shifts. Now this could be fixed if HR was more present and was available to talk about shift scheduling and issues that arise from how they do it. Secondly, the General Manager is very aggressive with their style of management. They often are talking down to people and attempting to single them out for ridicule or to give attitude to. They also have zero regard for a worker's wellbeing or health, instead putting the business before the people who have to make sacrifices for it. If you ever do call out and the GM answers, be prepared because she will try to gaslight you and talk you out of whatever your legitimate reason for not being able to come in is.

Portia Massado: I was a former employee there and the reason why I left was for a career choice and also because of the GM Jemima Canage. Jemima Canage is THE WORST GM to work for the company. Target is her LIFE and if your in school or have a second job PLEASE DO NOT APPLY. Control freak YES she is. Jemima will over work you and will not give gradititude in return unless your a male that work in her store. She talks very mean and nasty to associates like they are nothing to her. I even had an incident where she yelled and charged herself at me like I was a child. It made me very very upset and if another manager wasn’t present I would of lost my job for walking out due to Jemima poor management skills. I even had customers come in and complain about how rude and mean she is. She also like to try to undermind people like they lack common sense. She recently fired someone for no apparent reason at all. She forced that man to come to work sick after expressing that he wasn’t feeling well. And he called the ambulance for himself just to prove to Jemima that he was sick. And in the process of her firing one person she lost 8people from that store. Even her ASM left because of her, 3LPs, and 4 associates. And right before I started 6months ago the original associates that were there had already gave the new people the rundown of Jemima Canage and how much they hated her and how she acts towards her employees. She doesn’t onow how to humble herself or treat people with REPSECT. She demands it then earning it or giving it back in return. And the nexr person she raises her voice at WILL NOT be as nice cause trust me I was VERY VERY ANGRY about it. Please get rid of that bad engery in that store. I feel sorry for all the people that are still there.

Kerry Delf: Small but fairly well provisioned food section, with both snack foods and some home groceries, heavy on the convenience foods. Prices are high but better than other stores in the area. Conveniently open until 11 p.m. on Saturdays, in an area where other stores close at 9 or 10, but it closes earlier on other days of the week. Free parking with store validation. Downside: Service was sparse and heavily dependent on self-service—there were no employees on the floor helping customers, and of three employees around the checkout counter, only one was operating a register, quite lackadaisically.

Peyton Doyle: Great small format Target in a really accessible part of Cleveland Park (and just steps from the Metro stop). Impressed with their selection of fresh foods. Nice home goods section too. Unique underground store. Really friendly employees! I will certainly be back.

Daniel: Right off the metro so it's convenient, not to mention, definitely bigger than you'd think. They took the investment of digging underground for the store (kind of like their NYC Tribeca location) and it definitely paid off. Validate parking when you leave since there's a lot attendant and a gate... no joke. Prices upscale for the location, but they had what I needed and would probably visit again.

Larry Gamble: I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the surroundings is a very beautiful place with a lot of awesome deals! it was a very nice experience for people are just super awesome everybody was all friendly and lot of excitement going on just keep it in the parking lot list fire I loved it

Lindsay Cooper: Purchased baby food online that was listed as in-stock. Received notifications that it was ready to pick-up. My husband went to pick it up and not only did they not have our order, they didn't have the product in stock. My husband then decided to purchase other items while he was there and was followed closely around the store by security so much that he had to ask the person to back off. I called Target HQ and they confirmed that the order was ready for pick up. I'll be going back to Amazon after this experience.

Chaturbhuj bhojwani: It is Very nice and very clean. It is small in size, but they've got everything from groceries to clothes and electronics. It is conveniently located near the red line Cleveland park metro station, and bus ( L1, L2) stop. when you walk in this location, it looks like you're at a duty-free shop at an airport. It is also a quick 5 minute walk from the zoo.

M P: Free parking but you MUST get your ticket validated in store. Great for quick Target run. You can always find helpful employees and if you don’t see what you are looking for ask and they’ll get it in stock. Great manager. Super clean store. Perfect location.

She Lied & Told Me That An AT&T Phone Was Unlocked. The Phone Wasn’t Unlocked & I Was Trapped In A Contract. I Explained To Her That I Wanted A Unlocked Phone & She Insisted On Telling Me The Phone I Bought Full Price Was Unlocked, Yet I’m Getting Stuff In My Email Saying I Have A Contract That I Have To Pay Off My Phone. Her Attitude Is Stank & She Never Has Her Mask Up On Her Face. Columbia Heights Target Do Better, Her and Her Unprofessional Ways Are Bringing Your Company Down Tremendously. Shayna Deverman: Dirty, unorganized, extremely low stock on everything. Items thrown everywhere, picked over. Shoe isle was a disgrace. Nice they have an “Ulta”, but very limited items. Took me several minutes to figure out where body wash was. Haircare, travel, makeup is all grouped together in the front/middle-like typical but body wash/deodorant was clear on the end of the store. Terrible flow. All that looking and they had very limited washes! Men’s selection had more to choose from. Went in there with a very basic list and got one thing on it… my nearest Walgreens was more helpful…disappointing since I love me a Target trip. I won’t be back to this one.

Kaila Gilbert: Good store, could benefit from more helpful signage 😂 idk throw a digital map on the wall or something. but even though I got vertigo/whiplash/confused trying to find a suitcase (they're on the 2nd floor in the wayback) no complaints and the people are good. Most people do self checkout bc line passes fast, so don't be intimidated if it's long. Idk choose your adventure. Shoe section looks a litttle crazy in the afternoons, but that's consistent with the behaviors/type of people who live here lmao. Moving too fast, not putting stuff back, lowkey entitled ahaha

Thomas Nali: NO PARKING VALIDATION Poor inventory. This is on a regular old Monday. I asked for the product I was looking for, they checked in the back, and said it was too hard to get to and another employee would work on it, but they don’t know how long it will be. This was at almost noon. Look at how few dairy products are on the shelf. Staff continued to prove unhelpful. I asked four different employees where a type of product was and they each told me to find someone who worked in that dept. OR they just told me they “probably don’t have it” WITHOUT even looking or bothering to find where it should be!! They tried to walk off but I said I am not satisfied until we find the shelf where it should be, and I’ve been looking for fifteen minutes. Took all of that to get some help finding one little thing.

Ted Socha: Ever since this Target added self-checkout, they've relied solely on it. At most, they open only one regular checkout line if self-checkout gets long. Better off going to the CVS across the street. 10/7/19 update: this place either needs to solve their self-checkout problem or open up more than one regular cash register

Sade Wilson: I was shopping today at the Washington D.C target store and was purchasing gift for my family I found some nice things and for a really good price. I went to check out and the items were ringing up different from what the price was upstairs I explained to the cashier he called for a manager. The manager name tiffany came and refuse to change the price the for two of the items but change it for the other too items. I continue checking out because I didn’t want to wait to long after I was done checking out I went upstairs to take pictures to show the manger she still refuse and walk away.

Donna Walker: Buyers we aware the prices in Target are going up every week and its terrible and make sure you know the prices of your items because the shelf price and the register price can be different at times. Security was following me for no reason so I had t let him know you are following the wrong person. I catch more people stealing at Target and I do not work there. Also, some of the employees are so rude. I will be recording my conversations with the employees when I need to ask for help as proof of how rude some of them can be.

Jessica Holmes: Please dont use this company. They show you one thing online and send something else. They left the flowers on the porch with the proper packaging. The wind we high and the vase was cheap and the arrangement was blown on the porch. They refused to rectify the situation. When you pay top dollar for an arrange it and don't receive that arrangement due to their negligence. They should be willing to do something.

Jessie Dalrymple: I've never received such a sad bunch of sunflowers - all closed up and wilted. The vase is almost twice as big as the flower bunch so it's disproportioned. If they don't have adequate blooms to make a specific bouquet on a given day, they should take that option off their web site temporarily. What I received is nowhere close to the appropriate value for the money that was spent on it. Just another reminder not to bother getting arranged flowers. Bummer. [Edit: I'll give them 1 more star because they did tell the purchaser that it wouldn't be sunflowers but a similar flower. And the blooms did last a good 2.5 weeks. But I stand by it being an under-proportioned arrangement and not worthy of the cost.

neriah anne: Visited for the first time today! This is my first plant shop I've visited since moving here recently. I'm starting to collect houseplants again since I had to leave them behind. I loved the selection of plants available! They had lots of plants I've dreamed of seeing like the variegated string of hearts, calathea orbifolia, hoyas. I will definitely be coming back again to check out the baby plants! The cons are that the larger plants were pretty pricey and customer service is a bit lacking, but it was busy today. I wish some of the larger trailing plants like the pothos njoy and other hoyas came in smaller pots that were more affordable. Overall a great houseplant spot!

Stephanie Stubler: Like my favorite nurseries: a plant wonderland from the moment you walk in. I was on a mission for indoor plants so did not spend much time in the covered annual/perennial area, but it was very well stocked and taken care of from my quick outdoor tour. So many indoor plant varieties to choose from, a few I had never seen in this area. I will return for further investigation, for sure!

Linda Balon Stein: Bought Biotone here to amend the soil prior to installing new shrubs. Also picked up flower and veggie seeds. American Plant is amazing. It is a bit higher priced compared to other local nurseries or big box stores. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Ashley Robertson: Nursery hopping in DC, MD, and VA is a favorite past time of mine and so far American Plant wins my award for most beautiful. American Plant had a large selection of healthy looking indoor and outdoor plants. They have everything from succulents, to trees, to climbing vines, and roses. I picked up some pollinator seeds from the garden center, a trellis, and a Thanksgiving Cactus. The prices were fair and the staff were knowledgeable and available. I particularly loved their yard sculpture collection. Those were pricy but the design and quality were some of the best that I’ve seen. I had to keep slapping my own hands to not walk away with all their hanging plants. Gorgeous!

Paul Hudson: This store is amazing, it has a wonderful assortment of plants and very knowledgeable staff. Overall, I had a excellent experience walking around and finding the plants I was looking for!!

Jeffery Holley: I fancy myself a seasoned gardener with Master Gardener certification from a California and Idaho. I'm crazy for flowers, nurseries, yard tools and botanical gardens. In a business with wild swings in seasonality and traffic, the customer care experience at AP is a superior. Folks are helpful and attentive. Plant inventory is excellent and the shop is filled with practical items and gift delights. One day I walked in with three 20-year-old Felco pruners in dire need of care. Garden Supply Manager, Andy Harms, fixed them up with alacrity. Polished up with new blades and springs...they are like new. Thank you American Plant, your products and people are a head-and-shoulders above any garden center. Period.

Liz T: Beautiful plants with tons of selection. Pretty reasonably priced for the location. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend engaging with them because they are also knowledgeable. We ha d a small bush not make it and they gave us no trouble at all to replace it.

Sassy Sauce: This store opened a couple years ago and it’s always nice and clean. The day I went after work the store must have just received a truck because there were boxes of product on most of the aisles. But this store is generally very clean and organized. This isn’t a normal sized target though, it’s definitely smaller and has more of a convenient store type feel. But all of the normal Target staples are still there. There is parking under the store and it’s accessible using the escalators or elevator. There is a Starbucks as well. It’s a great store to visit!

Amreen Shafiuddin: poorly managed target.. no one knew answers for anything. customer service was poor. stocking issues in all the aisles. boxes everywhere.. the food items especially bread section don’t have best before stickers on them. when questioned, they just saw each other faces. poorly managed.

Tracie: Pros: Near my home. New store. Available parking structure. Decent customer service. By decent i mean - I haven't had a negative experience with the customer but no one has gone above and beyond helping me. Cons: Generally feels empty. Yet every time I enter the store i notice staff are in the middle of restocking and have crates of things in the middle of the hallways blocking the pass way. This was even before covid so not sure whats going on (pictures shown from Dec 2021). Also, doesn't appear to be a parking attendant so anytime anyone lost their ticket, their is chaos trying to get out. Finally, prices seem a little higher than other targets, i get the sense that because its smaller things are limited and maybe marked up? Or maybe its just inflation and the whole food chain/ports being a hot mess.

Mysiki X Valentine: Whoa! Let me begin on a positive. There is a cashier (older Black woman) Joan, who is the most pleasant staff worker. However, the younger staff can often be found tucked away on phones, having side conversation and etc..so finding help is always difficult. In addition, the customer service could never be described as friendly. But it does not end there, this is one of the worst Target’s I’ve ever went shopping. The store shelves stay empty. I recently order Beats headphones online for pick-up, I was emailed saying my order was ready—but when I got to the store the manager cancelled my order, stating the item was not in the store. Long behold, I walked to the back and there sat 3) pairs of the same item I came to pick-up. Her attitude was out of this world, I couldn’t believe she worked in customer service. No matter what time of the day, the aisles have carts full of products yet to be put away. Makes the store seem chaotic and disorganized. If it’s a quick stop, I’d advise going elsewhere. Looking to do serious shopping, never stop here. To end on a positive the food section is normally well stocked and presented nicely.

Kareem Carter: Lets start by saying I am appreciative of having a Target in this area of DC. The parking facility is safe and well lit, the store was reasonably stocked and clean. My gripe is with the professionalism of the management and the completely ineffective way they run the checkout line. they funneled everyone through one line and when several customers skipped the single line and went straight to the register, they were allowed to do so.....causing frustration to the other customers in the line. This was brought to the lead employees attention and she sarcastically dismissed my frustration. They should really signage up on how the checkout line works!

Erin Truax: I have been to this Target a few times because it is the most convenient for me (and parking is easy) but I always leave feeling very frustrated. There are constantly boxes of inventory waiting to be unpacked that are blocking the aisles and many shelves are often missing product. I have shopped at different times and on different days, but this seems to be on ongoing issue for this location. If you’re able, I recommend a different location.

J Por: Went in for some quick toys for my nieces and nephew. Turned in to their Loss Prevention racially profiling my partner, and followed us around the store the entire time for 60 dollars worth of merchandise, part of which, we had to find an employee to get. We initially went in to make a return, and unfortunately had the idea to shop the last bit of our list. Workers letting people (guy in a blue hoodie was wearing a red shirt so possible employee?) walk around without a mask even though DC has a mandate, and the stores inventory is always in the way. Should have been more concerned following him to give him a mask instead of two people who were in your store less than 25 minutes. Overheard an employee talking about managers asking the team to get tested because of a potential positive employee. Overall, the worst experience I’ve had by far. I’ve been a consistent customer for three years, but no more. This location is best avoided. Trust me.

livingmytruth 2: Joan has the best customer service ever. I came in this location with my 98 year old grandma and she made my grandma feel sooo good and proud and she really has a positive attitude. Thank you for making my grandmother’s shopping experience so pleasant . I will actually make this my home store now because of her pleasant demeanor

Aaron Blackmon: Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go to a Walmart that is all red and has Target signs? Well wait no longer! This will fit the bill. The validated parking is a mess. The store is never stocked but simultaneously stocking everything at once and the lines are NEVER open. I only went there after learning my initial lesson months ago because it’s so close and I wanted to get a few things but even still it wasn’t worth it.

Chris Todd: The staff inside the store were friendly and helpful. However, the parking attendant was about as useless as a square wheel. I wanted to recharge my car. The sign in front of the chargers read "See attendant to activate". This dude was just sitting in his car. He refused to get up and wave whatever card he needed to wave to unlock the charging station. He didn't even acknowledge me other than saying "Uh". I tried activating the station with my SemaConnect app, but the station was locked out. I'm sure this Target is great, but I wouldn't come here in an EV because the dude who runs the chargers can't be bothered to get out of his car to do his job.

Jesse Cowan: Terrific customer service today! I was greeted right away by a friendly staffer who showed me just the plant I was looking for and helped me pick one from 3 healthy specimens. Then another friendly staffer potted it for me, and when she understood it was to be a gift, wrapped it with pretty tissue paper. So grateful, and looking forward to coming back soon.

Evan Morier: Johnson's has some great houseplants, some of which are very reasonably priced. There are nice pots as well. Great place to go during the holidays for ornaments (and afterwards for sales). Cut flowers are nice but pricey. I've always had great service here as well.

Dan S: Nice people working there, hence my not giving 1 star. We’ve had multiple issues of purchasing products from them that are infested with various pests. We bought a palm plant from them, to then find out it was infested with spider mites (to this day we haven’t been able to get rid of them, and have isolated our palm plant). We also bought compost from them on a separate occasion, to then find out (the hard way) that it was infested with fungus gnats. Our veggies withered because these gnats ate all the roots. I don’t recommend purchasing any plant products from this store, as they seem to have pest problems.

Ofelia Gaitan: hands down the best flowers in the area. I have been going to Johnson's for over two years and they always have top quality flowers. Their arrangements are always beautiful. I have experienced a few issues upon delivery of arrangements but they are quick to make correct their errors and thus why they deserve 5 stars. With all florist I think going to the the stores is the best route to go when placing an order as issues may arise upon delivery.

Madeline Klein: WOW! A MUST GO TO PLACE! There are two locations FYI; Johnsons Kensington is hands down amazing! I will definitely make a travel to this location! I am not the best at all with house plants; this young lady (apologize I completely forgot her name) she was about 25-maybe 30 short brown hair. Her knowledge was beyond anything I have ever experienced! This specific young lady was so warm and welcoming since I walked in (before I have noticed other employees on phones or other things "more important") this woman was so attentive from the beginning! re-potted a plant I thought would make it I'm still trying to keep the plant going but I learned so much and it may be in a much much smaller pot but it is BEAUTIFUL decorated! I purchased another house plant as well the customer service was so great. The young woman gave me many suggestions to what I would like and showed me photos of her own personal one and I was taken back as to how polite, patient, kind and not pushy to sell a plant that was not the best fit for me. I HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE! The Owner Mr. Tom Johnson was there and for me personally it shows the dedication he has for his staff and the great business. Kensington Johnsons is THE PLACE TO GO!

Instead, I received an irritated “Can I help you?” from not one but both cashiers. It wasn’t packed, so I really didn’t understand the seemingly irritated or exasperated attitude. If said cashiers don’t want to help anyone, there’s a solution—QUIT! And don’t hold a position where one has to interface with the public! Needless to say, I won’t be back. I’ll do my shopping via Amazon. At least that way, I’ll be able to save time, money, and not have to deal with abysmal customer service!

Joshua Cruse: Overall; Lowe’s as a company/brand has declined in recent years. In my recent experience, though, this location in particular seems to be the least reliable of all the stores in the metro DC area. Across departments, their inventory is grossly misrepresented in the app (by dozens), and the associates are generally not helpful in determining whether or not they actually have the items in the store. They are quick to blame “the system”. However, I’m not patronizing their system. I [was formerly] patronizing them. So, if it’s an issue with just this location; avoid this location. If it’s company-wide, avoid the company. That’s how consumers should react to their blame-game logic. At this point, it just simply appears Lowe’s is artificially inflating their inventory counts online to get customers in the door. That’s misleading and dishonest. Alternatively; the big-orange-box competitor’s site/app will direct you to contact the specific store if the quantity is low or out of stock. Still not as honest as a flat “we’re out”, but better than inflated counts. YMMV. Buyer beware.

Kwadwo Tuffour: Took this painting to figure out how to get it up on my wall, and to get the right kind of nails to do it. Sales associate was able to take me right to what I needed and shower me how to hang it. Mission accomplished. Bonus: Had a nice, brief conversation with the cashier, Radha about the different women in the picture. She recognized a couple and asked about a few, which i told her.

John Kean: A home improvement store that's worth a longer drive. It has well-organized and labeled stock that is free of the grimy dust in competitor's stores. The staff has been exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Smaller than other home stores, so I have some items delivered to the store, usually in a day, and then I am sure the item will be available. I have used the store's contractors for air conditioning installation and gutter replacement. Both were excellent and cost was the lowest or close to lowest.

Kari Podhajsky: It was a perfectly fine and clean store. It had what we were looking for. The women's bathroom needed a little bit of love, but it certainly got the job done. The employees were friendly and helpful. The signage was accurate and easy enough to find everything that we needed. Plus there was ice cream nearby!

Jessica Osorio Jimenez: Go to the Chantilly store, it is not that far away, it is bigger with a larger selection, better organized and doesn't have a Norma. I absolutely abhor having no choice but to listen to someone in "management" belittling and berating an employee from the corner front of appliance to to past the appliance desk in front of customers or other employees, there is absolutely no need for it. If that would've happened before I purchased my appliances, I would've have left and purchased them elsewhere. The other employees are helpful but they look harassed and stressed. I even went back a couple of times to see if the atmosphere had changed, but 🤷‍♀️ it may get better once the reorganization is complete but until then, just go to the Chantilly store.

Tracey Greene: Went and got spare keys for mom. I'm so happy they had a great variety of different colors to choose from so that you can use certain keys to identify certain doors for your house. And the guy who helped me do the keys he was so nice. Thank you for the great experience

Dawn Wunderle: After more than 7 phone calls to 3 different numbers trying to schedule appliance installation, I was lucky this morning to have been assisted by Joshua Lewis in the Floral and Garden Department. Even though it is not his department or responsibility, he patiently worked through getting the dishwasher I ordered on January 13th scheduled for installation. If there were 10 stars - I would select all 10 for Joshua! Patient, courteous and helpful and he went above and beyond to assist me!

Yumiko Cook: I had outstanding customer service from Gretchen. All the time she was polite, friendly, and tried to find what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the store didn’t carry the fluorescent light bulbs. But she gave me more information of it about me to order it easier.

Blake Gregory: I had the Best experience I've ever had at this Lowe's Store. The young lady in the Appliance area was helpful, knowledgeable and got our Refrigerator delivered the next day. A 10 star experience in satisfaction.

EN.R (EN.R): needed white flowers for a church event and was told by a friend that had gone before that she had not found a good variety of flowers but went either way and was absolutely blown away by the amount of flowers I was able to choose from. Was able to make 7 good sized arrangements for a fair price. Definitely recommend and will definitely be going back ☺️👍

Matthew Warren: Short story is that I will never get flowers from these people again. Long story is as follows: I looked around and ordered a set of flowers I liked. When I went to pick up the flowers I ordered, they didn’t have about 20% of them. I was told they were out of stock, too bad so sad. Questions were curtly rebuffed. Upon getting home I realized the flowers I did manage to receive were in poor condition (shown in photos). I took a few photos and had my event. I called them after my event to say I didn’t get what I ordered and that what I did get was no good. They were extremely rude on the phone. I was told I might get a partial refund if I have a picture of every bad flower but not otherwise. Who takes pictures of 100 bad flowers while trying to set up an engagement party? I showed the pictures I did take. I was told I was lucky to get money back for the flowers I never got! If you are a bride or groom, unless you like needing to be a Karen, steer clear.

Hope Hinerman: UPDATE: Now that my honeymoon is over, I can talk more about this. Half of the rose heads fell off while putting things together, ALL of the flowers were given to us OPEN when we were told they would be closed. Most of the plants were not able to be used for anything and the carnations were so sad...... my flowers ended up not being a big part of my wedding like I wanted to. Oh, and I have yet to hear from anyone about fixing this issue that they caused for me on my WEDDING DAY. Again, do not recommend. I DO NOT recommend this florist at all. I ordered wholesale flowers for my wedding and went to pick them up on a Thursday for my wedding on a Saturday. Spent a couple hundred on flowers to make my own bouquets. Called morning of and was told everything was ready to go. Show up and they don’t have the roses I ordered and everything came in boxes (we were told to bring buckets of water, so the boxes were unexpected). We asked about what they were going to do about the missing roses. After waiting about 20 minutes they bring out roses that were already open. Since my wedding is on a Saturday, this can cause some potential problems. Can’t have wilted roses in my wedding bouquet, especially ones I paid good money for. We asked if they could throw in some extra roses in case some of them were no good for the wedding and they rudely told us no. That we either get the flowers or we don’t. They are rude, unorganized, and unprofessional. Not sure if they were having a bad day or something, but it’s not our fault they were out of what they promised.

HeeJin Jung: Do not recommend! I would rate -1 if I could. The flowers we got looked as if they literally came from the trash bin. Luckily they weren't for my wedding! On top of that, none of our interactions with the staff were pleasant. I agree with other reviews here that they are just rude and do not care about their customers. So many other quality florists who are actually kind to people.

Saved by the Blood of the LAMB YESHUAHA'MASCHIACH: Terrible product!! I ordered 20 peonies 10 white 10 coral. The white ones arrived in decent shape, but the coral one are dead. See the pictures. I contacted customer service have yet to receive a response from them! Recommend you Do Not order from this company. I found better peonies from fiftyflowers.com. and experienced excellent customer service. Try them!

dayeon Hong: I moved to MD about a year ago, and this is where I had discrimination feelings for the first time. Wow, I will never forget the face helping “other race” and the face when I ask for some help. Good luck with the business with those employees.

Juliana Nahas: When my flowers arrived they were covered in mold and literally falling apart. I requested a refund for the moldy flowers twice and provided pictures with no reply. Very disappointed and would not recommend buying from Potomac Floral !

David Hornreich: When we realized using a florist for our wedding was going to be ridiculously expensive, we decided we could arrange our own flowers if we used a wholesaler to get the flowers. Potomac Floral was referred to us by a florist in the DC area and we couldn't be happier. We told them the types of flowers we liked and they helped us find the best and most cost-effective variations to use. They also helped us steer away from any flowers that were risky when it came to shipping and handling (our wedding was in another state and we needed to keep the flowers alive for several days before the day) and helped us find hearty flowers that would definitely hold up. The also did a great job of teaching us about the best care instructions for each variety of flower we ordered so they could look great come the big day. And look great they did! We're really really happy that we went with Potomac Floral.

Erin Kling: I placed a $700 order for a wedding and when I arrived on the pickup date, not only did I have to wait 45 minutes for them to gather the order, but they didn't have half of the items I ordered. I'm so glad I ordered most of the flowers from somewhere else because this place is completely unreliable and when you place an order they don't reserve those flowers for you. They shouldn't be accepting orders if they're going to do things on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Lisa Gray: I ordered the arrangement on the left called “Sweetest Sunrise” for my sisters 60th Birthday. And added two balloons. The orange/red arrangement on the right is what was delivered. Do these florists think they can deliver anything and the person ordering won’t know. I feel totally scammed. Do not use this florist.

While the arrangement that was delivered included a few of the same flowers, it was essentially nothing like the advertised arrangement and about half the size. The arrangement that was delivered was definitely not worth the $174 I paid for it. I was very disappointed and would not recommend using Conklyn's. Update: I've changed my rating from one star to three, since Conklyn's contacted me shortly after I posted my original review, apologized, and refunded the full price of the arrangement. They also offered to send another arrangement free of charge. The woman who called seemed very nice and I really appreciate the effort to make things right, unfortunately the moment had already passed.

Alexandra Younger: Really good customer service. I had an address issue on my end that they immediately fixed for me. Chocolates are good quality Lindor. I ordered the Topaz Wonderland for someone. It was supposed to be lots of textured greenery, pink & purple flowers mixed in, with a topaz vase. However, it came in a dark blue vase, and the flowers were predominantly yellow and pink/red. I was hoping it had more interesting green textures, and not really the yellow ones. I think it was beautiful, but far too different from the photo for what I paid.

Enid Pope: I specifically asked for no carnations as substitutes but it was used anyway. Ordered weeks in advance so there was enough time to obtain flowers listed for the arrangement or get an adequate substitute. Plus, the bouquet was delivered at 7 a.m. I usually prefer local florist, this one did not work out.

Rachael Lipsetts: I previously gave Conklyn's five stars a few years ago but had to update it - is 10 stars an option? :) They could not find someone to fill my order for my mom's birthday, so they PERSONALLY filled it and PERSONALLY drove almost 2 hours roundtrip to deliver the flowers. My mother could not have been happier with this gorgeous arrangement. Conklyn's truly is the best around! I will never go anywhere else!

Midge O.: Knowing my daughter received a beautiful bouquet for her birthday, I was anxious xto receive mine. They were ordered by my son who lives in Canada. Hers was like I said beautiful. Mine arrived and one day later half the flowers were dead and I pulled them out. Will tell my son not to order from this establishment again.

J. S.: I ordered a floral arrangement to be delivered to a business today (a Friday and a non holiday). It’s almost 4:00 pm and there is not one flower in sight. Your own business is closing in an hour and a half. What professional florist waits until the day is over to deliver a floral arrangement to a business???? Doesn’t that defeat the point???? People are headed home for the day! I indicated in my order that it was a business. I will never use this company again. A waste of time and money and the customer service is not helpful.

Jessica Boada: Good prices but it needs better employees that really like to help . Today is 1/28/22 l was at walmart 2 days ago the skate boards were price 18.98. So today i go buy the skate the price is the same i get to ✔ out the guy goes the price is 29.98 im like no they are wrong so i asked him to fix honor the price he said he can not do it the manager comes show me a picture if you want the item i go take the pic waited in line again another cahier tried to help but the first cashier said no I have the transaction on hold. So i kept on waiting them it was only one person behind me and he said i cannot do it go to customer services. I go he said to customer i have a big line i was like really. Ok finally thay send me back to the manager and she did not ask for the pic or anything and charged me 29.98. But before this she said to the customer service do not come with that. Anyway she was not even wearing the mask properly she had it on her neck. I end up returning the item and got the price at customer service with a DIFFERENT cashier after 3 different lines. Pooooooooooor customer service specialty from the manager

I shop around 8-10pm with fewer issues. No access to customer service, but the customer service is iffy at best during the day anyway. Excellent craft and party sections.

taqueya spriggs: I experienced very poor customer service. My family and I shopped here for the first time a week ago and the cashier who rung the father of my children's items began yelling at him because he realized after placing his items on the belt that he forgot to pick up an item that he needed in the aisle. Thereafter, the cashier began shouting for him to return to the checkout counter to complete his transaction because the store was closing soon. I for one don't have a problem with store personnel explaining to me that I am unable to go back to the aisles to select additional items to purchase because closing time is vastly approaching, but it's how you talk to people. Not to mention store security personnel tried to intimate myself and the father of my children in front of them as if he wanted to arrest us. He also became antagonizing by ordering another patron nearby to pull out his phone to video record him throwing me out of the store when I had no involvement with the incident that transpired between the cashier and my significant other. I will never shop at this location again and retail workers should be mindful of their tone and demeanor with customers because my significant other was not being confrontational, disorderly, or destroying property after being publicly humiliated in front of everyone in the store for no apparent reason. This kind of behavior is shameful and despicable and I was mortified. I am a regular shopper of Walmart corporations and I spent a lot money that day and do not deserve to be treated like a common criminal. With everything going on in the world and due to poor customer service and lack of respect for others, I think retailers should convert their services over to online shopping. This way customers can still reap the benefits of shopping without the having to potentially endure poor customer service. In the future Amazon will get all of my business.

scmi7y: Not too good experience, they did not have any of the 4 things we came for. Also they don't sell graphic cards in this store. Staff was 50/50 some was very helpful and good attitude. While others seemed annoyed by customers getting in their way and asking "stupid" questions. Somewhat hard to navigate the store. And prices has gone up lately.

Keshia Wideman: The absolute worst customer service ever. The store manager Patrick is non responsive to the lack of professionalism and ethics of the staff concerning, customers concerns/complaints. They are definitely a representation of his leadership and it shows. He doesn’t follow up on cooperates complaints, and the store is not organized properly at times. They don’t honor price misplaced items, and the cashiers are sarcastic, and rude at times. Crystal has been there awhile and can be rude and dismissive. I had to address her , and others about their rude, unethical behavior.

Michael Perez: If Purgatory exists, this Walmart will be a level. The place was clean and had an organization known to them. Not like any I've ever visited (and I've had the pleasure...to visit more than a few) but I'm sure when you've done your penance of shopping here a few times you get used to it. What really sets this store apart from the others is the stylistic hell that is the checkout process. 7 lanes with at least 9 patrons each. Cashiers that appear to be participating in a slow-down strike (and if they are, my hat's off to them and their cause). And at least 3 arguments between customers that verged on World Star territory. I will say that the curbside personnel were a little more engaged in their work.
