jacinta belardo: 5 stars for the excellent customer service I received this morning. Placed an online order for 2 breakfast sandwiches but I mistakenly chose the Starbucks further down Pennsylvania Ave. One staff member in particular was so sweet and helpful and offered to make me the sandwich there for me. I appreciated that so much because mistakes happen and to not be met with an attitude meant everything!

Kody B: We came in with only 2 parties ahead of us, and man did the one person take forveerrrrrr to order and before you knew it the line was 10 parties deep. Luckily a 2nd worker was starting drinks of people waiting behind this very slow person to keep the line moving. They saved the day! And out patiences. SN: the person moving very slow was off in their own world on their own time, often too busy on their phone to pay attention to the person trying to take their order.

C R: This Starbucks is a short walk from the Capitol. Locals and visitors will enjoy able sitting both unsure and outside (when weather is agreeable). The staff is friendly and engaging to the customers. You will feel at home here when you sit down and drink your favorite beverage.

No one really matters, but cats: Hadn't been in there since the pandemic hit, I didn't want a stranger touching the lid to my drink, I finally went in, and my drink was made to perfection, but when I went again, my drink tasted blah.. Typical Starbucks, no consistency

Luke Erickson: By far the nicest Starbucks I’ve been to. The staff is extremely friendly and the coffee and food is fantastic. Great place to sit down and relax.

Berik Tuyaqbay: Disappointing place. The worst of Starbucks locations I had a chance to visit. The location manager (tall guy) made an impression of no care about issues occurring there, when we attempted to resolve a theft case had taken place there. Will never visit them again

Victoria Avery: It's a busy Starbucks. They were out of some breakfast items & no forks due to supply chain issues. Lattes were good.

Freddie Dunn: A good place to stop in for a quick sip and bite if you're on Capitol Hill. The service is quick and efficient, and the staff is friendly. As an added Plus they also have a public restroom. There are lots of plugs for your juice-hungry electronic equipment, and comfortable seating to relax as you sip your coffee.

Carlos Barillo: Every time I come here I am always greeted warmly. After being away for over 2 months they remarked on it! Wow. They noticed?! That’s great community rapport and great management.

Wenhui Yang: My friend took a nap here without knowing it's actually not allowed in store, woke up by the staff in the worst manner ever. The guy said it's illegal to sleep here and rudely ask me to google it. "Go to a hotel if you want to sleep," he also said. My friend definately wouldn't nap here if previously knows about the rule. Only wish the staff could deliver the message in a less rude way.

Alan Reif: Coffee is almost always the same but this store is extremely cold. I'd rather go to the Capital One Cafe. Much warmer plus big discount if you use your capital one debit or credit card.

michael peer: The ambiance is remarkable. Bearing the most modern decor gives this shop an extra comfortable feeling. They out did themselves once again. Staff is cheerful and aimed to please. Easy access to Georgetown sites and beyond. A jump across the Key Bridge to Rosslyn. A certain stop when visiting the Nation's Capital.

Jack Freeman: Great atmosphere. They made me an ice coffee with mocha even though it wasn’t on the menu. Great area to study or just have a conversation/date. There are about 12 spots for groups to sit so the seating is quite nice. Staff is friendly and they leave out a water cooler so that you don’t need to ask. Great option for a lazy day on campus.

Agnieszka Kruk: Very cozy, cool, peaceful, yet - kind of upscale. They take care of their customers. I had a complaint which I thought they were going to ignore, but they were very opened to fix it. It is one of my favorite Starbucks

• Ashleigh •: I was with a group for school and after touring gallaudet, we stopped here for a quick drink and all i can say, is we where greeted with smiles from beautiful people. I can say, it was probably the best Frappuccino I ever had. They we so nice, patient, and helpful as some of us struggled to sign our orders.

Leslie Bartz: The absolute BEST & most inspiring Starbucks!! We met our son here for coffee before coming back to TN & not only was everything great but the atmosphere just made my heart happy!! ❤️

Lane White: What a cool environment! I had no idea that most or all of the staff communicates with sign language only. It took me by surprise. It was extremely unique to observe them working and communicating together making coffees for a long list of mobile orders. They were very helpful when they realized I couldn’t sign, and they handed me a sketch pad to write my order on.

Svpreme XIII: Nice Staff. But.. Sub-par representation of Starbucks Coffee drinks. They just rush drinks out with no care or respect to order. This drink should be: Iced Brown Sugar Latte w/Oatmilk extra shot of espresso, Salted caramel milk foam and cinnamon powder and caramel sauce. All clearly missing. 7 brown sugar pumps and light ice. REFUND Pass this Starbucks and go to another! Smh PS- I've been here multiple times consistently and have compared to others.

Ryan D: Can't really say anything great about this Starbucks. The wait when nobody is in line after you order your drink is consistently long. I wonder what the heck takes them so long even when the place is empty it seems like it always takes FOREVER. It's always painful going in there cause I know that it's a 10 to 15 sometimes 20 minute ordeal, and that's when it's empty. Seems like no one complains because they feel bad or maybe no one lends an open ear...

Sam Odle: Here’s the deal - I love this Starbucks and come regularly. Highly recommend dropping by if you haven’t already. It’s clean, unique, and friendly. Standard Starbucks fare. However - I’m a coffee guy. At most Starbucks it feels like they prioritize orders that are coffee only. Here it seems like it goes in the queue with mobile orders and everything else, so can take a while.

Kasey Carson: Legit every time I get something from this Starbucks there’s always some part of my drink missing, like the pumps of vanilla syrup. And it’s crazy because I’ll order it every single day and select five pumps of vanilla syrup. And it also seems like they more often than not have order ahead turned off for their store. I used to like coming here a lot until they really just started messing up on my drinks it feels like a waste of money. Save your money and your time get coffee somewhere else.

Ruthanne Reid: THIS IS SO COOL. The staff is hard of hearing, and all you sign language. If you don't speak sign language, like me, you write down your order. Everyone is really nice, it's absolutely quiet without blaring music, and it's seriously felt like stepping into a little spot of bliss in the middle of a busy street. Yet another place I would frequent often if I lived here. Alas, I must limit myself to the single visit and remember it with a smile.

Isabella Martin: I've gotten used to seeing Hyo on Tuesday an Thursday mornings - Hyo is always killing the register, even when there's a line, she greets each customer in a genuine and friendly way. She also takes great care in ensuring that all parts of the order are accurate. Hyo really connects with every customer and makes me feel happy that I stopped in! Ironically, I normally show with my fingers how much cream I want in my coffee. The visual nature of this store and it's baristas make it the only Starbucks to consistently nail my coffee every time with the right amount of cream! Thank you to the H street Starbucks team!

Justin Wong: This Starbucks has employees who are deaf and can use sign language. I communicated with my barista by using a combination of an electronic note pad on the counter on which I wrote my order, some pointing, and she did some lip reading. This is really awesome that Starbucks is creating a space for the deaf and hearing impaired community.

Dr. Jessi Wright: I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time. This is my local Starbucks and I’ve been coming consistently for years. The team here are some of the friendliest and most helpful I’ve ever encountered. They greet you with a smile the moment you walk in and the atmosphere they create is lively. And they’re funny too! They often joke around with you and are just genuinely great to be around, making you feel welcome. I am always so impressed by their enthusiasm and the interactions always boost my mood and start my day off great. This is really the value of a good local coffee shop. Many people can make good coffee, but people that can do that AND put you in a good mood AND get you motivated for your day are what keep you coming back. I am SHOCKED to see a single bad review below. I am in about twice a month so I don’t think they necessarily recognize me (especially during this mask era), which lets me know that they treat all of their customers this way. Food and drinks are always just right and they’re quick and helpful. I wish I could remember the names of everyone I’ve been served by over the years to mention them here but I can’t, so I will give a shout-out to Fran who I always see, and who is always working hard.

Helen Totten: Not as clean as most Starbucks I have been too. we sat outside, and got to enjoy (not) the smoke from two other guests who were sat in plain sight of the staff, I guess they don't get paid enough to enforce the rules and would rather chat to each other

Everybody is SO nice, smiling, competent, knows my name, knows exactly what I drink, and good music is always playing, I work down the block and have been consistently going here for 3 years. Samantha Wheeler: By far the most friendly and helpful Starbucks I've ever been to. When you walk in you are greeted by an employee (I think his name was Johnathan) who asks for your name for you mobile order. He is so funny and kind. Most of the staff new about half of the people who came in by first name. Even during peak hours everyone was so friendly and positive.

YNWA AIY: Rude African (fat) cashier lady, 100% impatient, disrespectful to customer. I ordered Nitro cold brew with salted honey, they put white sugar instead of real honey. It tasts awful. This Starbucks has great location, cute indoor setup, but employees who work there are absolutely disgusting & pathetic

The Key: The staff is very kind and provides quick service.

Clarissa Martinez: Love the location of this Starbucks, and I truly liked the inside of the store as well. Their coffee spectrum wall is lovely and shows you all of their coffees from lightest to darkest. However their service is mediocre. Their baristas are rude and they look like they don’t want to be there. Their iced caramel macchiato tasted weird, not like the usual at other Starbucks. I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and they didn’t give me the cream cheese lol. You can sit outside and chill, the location is great.

chaoticcookie: So when I walked In the service was fast and the line was moving quickly, all I ordered was a medium coffee, simple, walk over and pour, no extra stuff. It took nearly 10 minutes to get this one cup and on-top of that one barista was just very aloof and didn’t have an apologetic word or anything she just walked away while a very friendly barista quickly made the coffee and handled the order. So thank you to her. Seriously it’s a cup of coffee. A little disappointed in the timing since this place is usually on point and is overall a pretty good spot.

r1 seo: While the staff are relatively friendly and efficient, the cap on my coffee was left loose by the server. Very nearly leaving me drenched in hot coffee. Luckily caught it at the last moment and prevented what could have been a very painful experience! The interior of the store is fairly pleasant, though rather untidy to say the least. The staff could do with paying closer attention to this as it would seriously lift the feel and atmosphere of the place. Thus making the Starbucks coffee experience here more of a pleasure than just another coffee. As with other Washington DC Starbucks stores, additional training would benefit the Starbucks brand here. And closer attention to details from staff would seriously elevate the customer experience.

Selim Emerson: It mentioned in Google map that was OPEN (supposed to CLOSE at 07:00 PM) but when we arrived at 06:00 PM under heavy rain we founded it NOT OPEN.We got wet only for trying to go to this Starbucks. We are not going to be customers of this place anymore.

Jian Xu: One of the most crowded places with only two crew members. Got my coffee 25 minutes after the order. People before me were asking for refunds due to the wait. Avoid if you don’t want to waste time.

charles burand: 745 am on a Thursday 15 people in line, one cashier, 3 people behind the counter. Given people are back and the cap gallery one closed they need to drastically ramp up staffing and service to meet demand. It's not unusual after 8am to see the line extend into the hotel lobby with over 20 people. Staff is friendly and standard Starbucks just pack your patience or skip it and go to the convenience store inside capital gallery building across the street. Btw I typed this while waiting in line.

Susan King: Ordered by mobile. Food cold by the time I got my drinks and neither were made right. No whip creme in cappuccino or hot chocolate. They worked hard and were busy but were rude. If you don't like the job, change it. Starbucks is going downhill? This is the third one in the last week that was the same.

Marlen Saldívar: Worst Starbucks experience ever! We waited more than 20 minutes for 2 flatwhites and 1 americano. I ordered one of the Flatwhites with whole milk and they gave it to me with almond milk, so I went to find the barista to tell her if she could fix it. I approached to the counter and told her “excuse me”, she looked at me very angry and yelled at me saying “can you give a minute?!”. I thought oh my God, I must get out of here now! I think the employees in this store are under so much stress, it is unbelievable they treat customers like that.

T C: I arrived at this location around 5:45 pm and there was no one in line. I waited and was greeted by the only employee there. I asked for venti caramel ribbon crunch latte. It’s usually a frappe but I just wanted it on ice today. The cashier was rude and gave me hard time. She mentioned that she couldn’t make my drink on ice and that it only comes as a frappe. I am a Starbucks lover and regular. I’ve ordered this particular drink numerous times at different multiple locations. So I am well aware that this is a very doable drink to make. When my order was ready, it was a frappe and not a latte. I asked the cashier multiples times if she could re make my drink. She was super rude, disrespectful and refused to fix her mistake/order and stated that I had to wait until another employee arrived for them to remake my order. Mind you this location closed at 7 pm. So I’m pretty sure she was the one closing the store. She was irritable and very unprofessional and was talking on her cellphone the entire time!!! She proceeded to go to the back of store and did not come back out for at least 15 mins. Another customer walked in and waited but left because he was never greeted.she didn’t come back out either. I have never experienced such a distasteful experience. I will never come back to this ghetto location Attaching video for reference. Sergio edhi: Visited June 23, 2022 around 3:15pm. Employee did not want to serve hot food because they were busy. Ordered a venti drink and got served a grande. They wanted me to pay for the difference in order to get served a venti when it was the cashiers fault he put the order incorrectly. I was not going to wait for another 20 mins and miss my train. The place was very dirty and the demeanor of the employees left a lot to be desired. Terrible Starbucks.

Zachary Hubbell: Nice for a quick bite and coffee in the morning. Service was very friendly! The dining area is small, so this Starbucks seems more like a take-away place.

Khadijah Taylor: I had ordered Uber eats at this Starbucks twice and both times my order can back in complete trash. They did not secure the drink like they were supposed to which resulted in the drink spilling out all over the place. I asked for steamed almond milk in my oatmeal and both times my oatmeal came cold with a cup full of milk. They didn’t even have the audacity to warm it. Being 9 months pregnant And in bed rest I am unable to go get the items myself. I’ve called multiple of times with no luck of reaching anyone. This is terrible. I also used to work for Starbucks and I know this is NOT how they present their merchandise. I will not be ordering from this location again.

Paul Zhang: This Starbucks is really convenient. Good location. Nearby Holiday Inn Washington-Capitol Labby. Monday to Friday open 0530 to 2000. Weekend(Saturday.Sunday) Open 0800 to 1900. Great service! I you like collecting Starbucks coffee mug. You will find Washington DC one over here. 👍👍👍👍👍

Ana Spender: I used to drink coffee here 15 years ago, while waiting for my sister to finish her work. This is the only starbux that has the coffee that is an actual coffee, smiling barista and always fresh food, deserts. I have been in over 20 locations all over USA but this is the only one I never miss to visit

Raymond Thomas: To say that I was a happy camper when this Starbucks recently re-opened (after COVID), would be an understatement. I am a longtime customer and have experienced multiple iterations of managers and baristas over the years - and they have all been great. Kudos to Rose, who takes care of my caffeine needs every morning, like clockwork.

Paul Nolan: I am so excited this Starbucks has re-opened. It’s right next to the Federal Center SW metro stop. Ideal for people getting a morning coffee while headed into work. Service is not particularly fast, but the employees are friendly. After a remodel, almost all indoor seating has been removed. There’s maybe space for 5 people to sit inside. The flow is a little confusing: the door opens at the end of the barista bar. So you have to walk around people who are standing and waiting for their beverage. This could be fixed with some stanchions or separators to better define where the line starts.

G J: Someone do something about the customer service there. I just literally waited at least 3 minutes with 4 employees with their backs turned to me at the register to pay for a bottle of water.

Rae West: The staff is mediocre, I didn't feel welcomed but they weren't rude either. The place is very neat and clean. I ordered the ice coconut milk mocha macchiato, it was good and made in a Timely manner.

Errol Robinson: This location is supposed to close at 5:30p. It’s 4:20p and the doors are locked already. I’m looking at the employee on his phone and no movement to open the door. Go figure 😐

Ayy M: During busy hours their cafe machine to curate the non-mobile orders break almost every time. I have been there multiple times and either had my order completely forgotten or waited 30-45 mins for a drink. Luckily the bakery to get your items warmed is fast service but everything else is painfully slow. They forget, don’t communicate or just simply don’t care. Even with mobile orders you’re best off ordering 20 mins ahead. Seriously plan to wait, or come an hour before your shift! P.S. I ordered a white hot chocolate mocha and received a caramel latte... too defeated to even go back there to have them correct it.

Enduman: Please 👍 if you think this review is 👌 Right by the Metro station. Super convenient! But this is DC and there are so many other Starbucks locations to choose from; walk on by and stop in at the next one. Instead of remaking my coworkers drink without whip cream.... I watched them: 1. Take off the lid 2. Scoop out the whip cream with a spoon 3. Put the lid back on 4. Serve. I laughed with my coworker about the ridiculousness of the situation, but she was not thrilled. 11/14/2019 - No issues.

Jennifer Maas: Somehow this location has managed to unravel the successful customer experience that led Starbucks to its original success. The customer service is surly, non-attentive, and generally terrible. The latest layout for line and the ordering flow is non-intuitive and awkward. Additionally it has been remodeled several times, each time eliminating more and more seating to the point where there is now barely anywhere to sit and enjoy your coffee. The wait is also extremely long. Starbucks - please monitor your locations as the current quality of some stores is tarnishing your entire brand!

Brooke S: This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. They have about 8 people behind the counter working and maybe 2 knowing what they're doing. They make drinks out of order and completely wrong. The lady in front of me had her drink re-made 3 times because it was wrong every time! Nils Hünerfürst: Very spacey Starbucks store with a straight order line that everyone understands.

Spiral Tote: 1st visit here at this location. My chicken caprese sandwich was delicious . The service was fine.

Christina Black: The barrista closed the bathrooms 10 to 12 minutes before closing and told my 9 year-old she would just have to go elsewhere. He said, " we're in 3 minutes and cleaning bathrooms." Also, my husband tried ordering a pour over with the blonde roast . They had that for an Americano but not a pour over?? He ordered it an hour before they closed. Horrible service at this location.

John K: What you would expect from Starbucks. Ice local. Great amount of seating. The staff was super friendly. Standard selection of items you know. I didn’t give it five stars as it is a standard chain. Indoor give five stars unless is is something different than the other chains.

Heidi Beltran: I visit this Starbucks roughly around 3-5 times a week at around 9 am. Normally they are alright with service and my drink most times has whole milk instead of skim. Today, I was waiting 5-10 for my order (always mobile order) and Brittany saw me waiting for awhile. She proceeded to ask me what i was waiting for and got me out the door as soon as possible. Her and the guy with dreads who work the morning shifts are amazing, the others not so much.... Thanks Brittany!

Marina: Cashier was too chatty with some of the customers. So we was need to wait for full 15 minutes in a line of only 2 people before us just to make an order. And after we finally made our orders, talking was continued instead of preparation the beverages. It's definitely not the way how it should be.

Dana Nunez: THE worst Starbucks ever. I ordered egg bites through my app and waited 45 minutes for it. Every time I asked about it, I kept getting dismissed and told it was coming. You see half the staff cleaning and mopping and only one or two people slowly making coffee while the people who waited accumulated. The staff is incredibly rude and lazy; the more people waited, the slower they worked/the more attitude they had.

Elliott Schellinger: This was our local Starbucks. There is nothing outstanding about the space, but they get the job done. It was not crowded, the staff was quite efficient, and the drinks were prepared properly, without me having to correct them at every single step. Overall, a very nice place.

Emeli Marquez: I just got two venti strawberries frappuccino and one grande size and the barista gave me the three grande sizes and them I told him that I ordered two venti size and he just chance the cup and filled it up with whipped cream and ice!They taste just like water!! What an awful experience

Ramona Killings: Ths location is quickly becomming one of my favorite coffee places on K Street, and there are more than a couple. To me the coffee and teas at most of these chain coffee places are relatively the same. What makes the difference from my perspective is the ambiance. The two or three other Starbucks locations on K Street haven't always been the best experiences for me, and I think most of it has to do with ambiance. The last location that I went to that is just a couple blocks away has the windows situated too high, so you can't really see what is going on outside. The couple of times that I have been to this place have been decent and I've been able to get some work done on my computer. There were only a few Customers because it is Sunday, but nevertheless they have the music cranked up so fricken loud, that I can barely even make a phone call. I wish that the employees would be a little bit more considerate for the few people who want to do actual work. I realize entertaining the staff is also important. Earlier today, I ordered a single medium Pikes Place coffee, and it tasted great!

Fd: Horrible, all the food tastes horrible, service is awful they did not even have napkins nor forks. Coffee tastes ultra sweet totally saturated flavour. This kind of food and service if it were for free, it would be expensive!

Caleb Williams: The order was correct the barrista who made the order was great and tried to help the cashier who was rude. I like Starbucks however I will not be coming back here

M CM: Thanks to whoever hired some new people who are nice! My old office was in this building and I loathed ever getting coffee here due to the insane rudeness of the staff. It was over the top and borderline hostile, which I never understood. None of my staff or I ever placed complex or crazy orders, or were ugly- but they would go from fawning over regulars and asking about their families to glaring daggers at us. It’s great to be able to come here again.

Marlow Bailey-McNeil: 10s across the board!!! A few years back it was a struggle when it came to mobile ordering. The new STAFF are on there game. I appreciate the hot and ready drink and the Good Morning Marlow!!! Its the little things that make me come back again and again and again!!!!!

Rick Yorgey: I was greeted warmly and served promptly. They asked my name and then used my name when my order was ready. The only thing they didn't do was get some of the details of my order - I asked for a Large chai at 180°. It came as a medium at 150° (if I'm generous).

Nils Hünerfürst: Friendly staff and very nice Starbucks store.

Nina Taylor: I ordered three kinds of croissants, one toasted and two not toasted. One staff gave me the two cold croissants in package label May13, and today is June 22. Thus I went back and asked her “Can I have Fresh croissants instead ?”She looked at me like I’m from the third world, said “It’s Fresh” and looked annoyed. Another staff brought me the new packs and cut the packages put it in a bag and said they got frozen delivery and it’s fresh. Results just the same, frozen not fresh. What an attitude staff there with bad explanation. Panera is much better for freshness, price and services. Thumbs down for Starbucks service like many people’s review.

D. Lee Hinshaw Jr: I placed my order via the Starbucks App before I got to the store. The two workers had a rush of orders. At least 6 people who came in after me got their orders & there I stood waiting. The orders should have been made as they came in no matter what they were. Plus there was a group of women who were leaning on the pickup counter with their elbows and on of them was sneezing into her hands, then touching the counter. None of them were wearing masks. Even so, my coffee and food were good.

Jessica Evans: My team and I order often at this location and wanted to start our Saturday with a little coffee motivation. Placed the order on the app (for 5 coffees), but when I went to pick it up the location was closed. I'm guessing someone decided to not show up for work today. Now that things are opened back up in DC we will be taking our business somewhere dependable.

Joanna Lee: This is my first time there, will be the last time if I could avoid it. The staff there are friendly and helpful to a certain group of people, but cold and unhelpful to the rest. One of the barista asked another person who ordered way after me what she ordered (she was part of the certain group of people) while ignoring me (I was standing right before the barista). They also don't seem to care enough to listen to you. I had to repeat what I said twice to two different staff. Only reason for two stars is because they got my order right and my coffee was okay.

Linda Phillips: Baristas was excellent really interested in if I really enjoyed a new beverage. The espresso made it more bitter than to my liking. She easily accommodated me with another selection.

He asked me five times I told him clearly what I want then he said “geez” complaining. The other barista came and she ordered. They both look won’t serve customers in a good manner. Brittany Jeffries: Best Starbucks in the city! They make great coffee, it's always good. The staff is constantly cleaning. I never wait long here if I walk in and when when I order online, I don't wait. The food is good too, they microwave it to perfection! 😆 Seriously though, great customer service here and the coffee is really good. Please make sure to tip your barista and have a great cup of Joe.

Kyle Koala: I love ordering online. The best part of ordering online is the easy menu item customization. Though, it really peeves me, when I pay extra for a customization that is then ignored by the staff. I only requested chocolate curls on top of my strawberry Frappuccino. Seems reasonable, right?

Jason B: Don't use mobile order here. Placed my order ahead of time, showed up 5 minutes after the pick-up time and still waited an additional 20 minutes. The barista said they take care of in-store orders first and he'd "get to it eventually."

I also don’t understand how there is a Starbucks like this open on such a major street but they didn’t have any hot drinks. Will never be coming back!!

They have dance music so loud in there, they can’t hear each other, so they are just shouting at each other over the already too-loud music. It was insane. I felt like I was drinking coffee in a fever dream. Had to leave before I could finish my drink, I couldn’t take it anymore.

Lamara Howard: If I could give 0 stars I would. The girl with the clear glasses and scarf with red hair always give me a hard time when I come here. She always tell me how something is right when I know how my drink taste. I really dislike when she makes my drink.

Asher Puth: The perfect place to study for work or college during your break in the day. I love coming here to hangout. And everyone is perfectly friendly.

Ludette: Too many employees working behind the counter. One cashier and another for the walk-up window. Apparently, cashier did not pay attention to specific orders. Had to wait 20 minutes for pastries that don't need to be warmed/heated.

Nils Hünerfürst: I ordered two cappuccinos with oatmilk and got something with caramel but the staff was very helpful and solved all the problems with a very pleasant solution. And when the sun hits the store in the afternoon it is really beautiful in this place.

Lora Mitchell: This location used to be my absolute favorite!! I went today a Sunday mid afternoon and to my surprise a very uninterested barista took my order and was just lack luster. I went to use the restroom and yuck 🤮 no toilet paper and it was down right soiled- I couldn’t even bring myself to use it. Then when I mentioned the restroom needing some TLC I was ignored and mind you there was no one else in the store beside one other barista...talk about awkward and rude. So glad this is no longer my go to location.

DuWayne Layton: There were 5 of us who ordered. 3 got their drinks with an ok amount of time. 1 was finished but they held it on the back counter. My friend asked if it was hers and told the employee her name. The employee looked at it and said yes but set it back down on the back counter and walked away. About 3 mins passed before someone else picked it up and put it on the pickup counter. My drink took 15 mins to make and I only got it because I complained. When they gave it to me, it was only 3/4 full and they slammed it on the cointer hard enough to spill some out the lid. While I was waiting, another customer ordered a drink, they made the wrong drink and handed it to her. When she told them it was wrong, the employee mumbled something, poured it into a different cup and handed it right back to her. Don't know how that turned out as I left. The employees spent more time talking and socializing than taking care of customers. Highly disappointed

Your Helpful Wendy: The Starbucks is so beautiful on the outside it is the building where it is located at it’s so pretty. Inside it’s a little small so it’s not as big as other location but the service in here was great. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the mug I was looking for but I still got a good service and a delicious coffee. This location was clean and well organized.

Thomas Smith: Rude, order took over 30 minutes for 1 drink and the other they verbally complained that when we mentioned it was made wrong that she was entitled. Yeah I'm sure lactose intolerance is a real entitlement. Music WAY too loud couldn't hear names being called. Just an overall terrible experience.

Angelica Bermudez: amazing, welcoming staff. They greet you as soon as you walk through the door. By far the best location I have visited. They provide exceptional service while being one of the busiest locations. Ray & Yendry always make my visit in the mornings great with their fantastic customer service & their great drinks.

Jesse Mcilwain: Coffee is good but we need more than one person working here on Saturday, line backed out the door of the Safeway with a 20 min wait for a cup of drip coffee? I saw several customers walk away as I waited through the line. Re-evaluate your strategy management, the current strategy is a failure and costing the owner money everyday. Customer service is similar to other stores near the ghetto of SW, bare minimum with an attitude.

Kielyn B: The worst starbucks ever been too. We ordered three drinks, caramel Frappuccino with whipped cream, caffeine vanilla Frappuccino with almond milk, and iced coffee with almond milk. All of them tasted like some type of artificial sweetener, were added to them and the ones with almond milk were suspect, awful. Neither of us could take more than a few sips; they were undrinkable.

Sam Odle: When not busy this Starbucks is fine - and they accept star rewards. There’s a little more trash than you’d expect and it’s in the Safeway but the work area is fairly large and getting snacks from the grocery store is a nice plus. When it’s busy it is incredibly unorganized which is what I believe is the root cause of the largely negative reviews. The line didn’t move anywhere near as quickly as it does in other area locations and there was constant confusion over whose order was whose.

No Body: Worst starbucks ever. Last two times i went around 8:30am and they weren't serving coffee! First time the excuse was they ran out of coffee and forgot to stock up, the second time it was the filters. And when i told the manager we were in a Safeway, maybe some coffee filters off the shelf might help solve her problem she got angry and loud with me. Not even a 'sorry' about it to make me feel a little better, its as if they didnt even care. Horrible customer service! And yes i was pissed, i had to drive out if my way and pay for parking to come to this location. My last time here. Oh.. with only two people working there, you have one staff member taking orders and making the drinks while the other employee is just chilling on his phone outside of the counter not paying any attention to the customers in line. The manager should fired. This is ridiculous.

Alina Gordilova: The worst customer service that kept on repeating itself for a quite a while until today, when the barista (who won’t reveal her name) brought me to tears by absolutely unacceptable service, comments, insults, laughter in my face and lies. In the end they laughter at me under the cameras telling that they weren’t laughing. Waiting to hear from district manager and BBB.

Yara Jax: The only things, I purchase at Starbucks are 1. Grilled cheese 2.refresher drinks 3. Something “oat” coffee drink Correct, I don’t indulge in any of what I call “fancy “ drinks LOL I just treat myself to the delicious grilled cheese maybe twice a week. I just started a new job and this Starbucks location is next door to my office building. I am disappointed with the price difference compared to my local Starbucks( Gaithersburg area) The grilled cheese is 6.88 and if I order the “oat” drink the total is 12.89. Where as my Starbucks total would be 9.00 !! On top of the price differences, The staff are very “blah” no warm welcome. They slide their feet preparing your order. Last visit one staff was stocking and I had to wait until she actually finished putting all the items on the counter display. I keep saying I am not going to give them my business. Unfortunately, the grilled cheese continue to call my name when I walk by😝

Claire - Lise: Extremely rude service. I bought a coffee and asked kindly to use their restroom and the lady said that “I need ask how people are doing before using the restroom” and gave me a rude look and attitude. I just had to go. Save yourself the effort, the bathroom code is 258.

Jessica Fuentes: Employees are rude and they don’t call out the name on the orders when I arrived my coffee was ready but my croissant wasn’t so waited for 10 minutes when I asked when my order was going to be ready the lady rudely gave it to me… yet my frappe had more whip cream than coffee middle and top of the cup had whip cream never going here again…

They gave me a cup of iced soy milk. No exaggeration - pictures attached. This is the second time I’ve ordered something at this Starbucks and had to dump it down the sink. Kati Barber: Amazing Staff! Jaleel, a barista at Starbucks, had orders to ring in and my sandwich to heat up, saw a guest standing with a walker at the door struggling to open the door - Jaleel - stopped what he was doing, to go and open the door for her and help her find a seat. Seems like the human thing to do, but as busy as we all get, it warmed my heart to see him make her a priority. Amazing and thoughtful person Starbucks is lucky to have working for them!

Keyser Söze: Strong coffee? Yes. Delicious breakfast sammich? Not so fast. Remove from wrapper, nuke for 45 seconds... bit the sammich and feel the cold center. Yum.

calvin birdsong: Going to Starbucks on the weekend is a more relaxed experience than during the work week. I walked in, got served right away, and was in my seat within 5 minutes. The server was friendly and the store was clean and comfortable. Will definitely come back soon!

Courtney Valentine: This Starbucks consistently messes orders up...forgets adding syrups to drinks when it is specified on the online order sticker, forgets sauce packets to sandwiches and egg bites when again specified on the online order sticker...and is beyond SLOW and incapable of efficiently working through the morning rush!!! Of all the Starbucks I have been to in DC this one is in desperate need of a retraining on getting orders right regardless of how busy it is and being more efficient during busy rushes! Every other Starbucks in DC has a system to the madness and manages to get orders right yet this one does not. Do better L Street location, DO BETTER!!

Michelle (=: Love this location, the manager is amazing and her staff is friendly and make it a point to know your drink when you come consistently. They will remake your drink if you aren't satisfied and with a smile! This is my work SBUX so I'm usually disappointed when I have to visit another because of how well I'm treated when I'm there. It does get busy but with excellent customer service, delicious drinks it makes it worth it or you can do mobile order.

eriko p: Fantastic Service with a smile! We just arrived to this area after a long flight and needed coffee and breakfast. This place opens early, 6am for early birds like me! We ordered our coffees and breakfast sandwiches and sat inside to absorb the city outside as we shipped out coffee!

Cody Starken: Starbucks is famous for a reason. Good coffee, friendly staff, and all at a reasonable price. It will always be my go to coffee place if there isn't a local coffee shop that needs support. The food is reasonable but don't expect full meals. They pretty much have on the go food to tied you over until a bigger meal.

MJ: This is an average Starbucks. I live nearby, so I come to it often. The staff is always really friendly, and they try their best to make drinks quickly, even if it’s crowded. I’ve had my order messed up a couple times (but I probably come in at least 2-3 times a month... so it’s to be expected eventually), and they’ll remake it or fix the issue if I ask. Most of the time, though, the staff makes the drinks really well! The caramel macchiatos always have enough caramel and the refreshers are always shaken, lol. My only complaint is that it’s really small and gets crowded easily, but I don’t think there’s much they can do to fix that. If you want Starbucks, this one will do you fine. If you want to sit and talk with a friend or have a meeting, you might consider going to a bigger coffee shop.

Christopher Lyon: I am temporarily housed close to this Starbucks . Sadly, it's one of the worst I've ever been in. The majority of the staff seem to forget they are there to take orders , make coffee and be pleasant . Too many times I've walked in and found the people joking around and not acknowledging that I'm there. When they do, its service with an attitude . The few good people seem to have left . The facility is always dirty with an overflowing trash . Seems they don't take much pride in their job. This is the only Starbucks where the service is consistently bad .

Marcin Lira: The R & B music was turned up extremely high. This is definitely not the location to study or work. It's not set-up for people who just want to chill, without running the risk of being accosted.

By the time I got home there was a sharp pain in my stomach, started feeling ill. Still in pain today. I remember the two baristas exuding discontent and being sloppy. Avoid this place at your peril! (Starbucks inside Target)
