Minhae Choi: Despite what is written below that they strive for top customer service my recent experience of ordering a custom door was not only delayed (incorrectly quoted service timeline), there was no follow up updates on the delays, and lack of professional care from customer service team. After sending more than enough emails asking for updates, when I called the customer care team expressing my frustration, rather than a sincere apology and concrete actions to update me on next steps, my concerns were taken lightly and unimportantly. The door was installed after five months with a missing part; I have yet to receive the part for the door. Really a disappointment especially for a company that speaks so much towards quality and customer experience.

Kelly Miller: I have called this company 3x to get a quotation for sliding glass interior doors for my home. I still don't have a quotation even after providing the measurements and specs. I was told I'd receive an email where I could send pictures because no one will come to my home to look at the space, and I still have yet to receive an email. Truly disappointed since my job is custom and costly, I need a reputable company to take it on. Sigh.....

locksand lace: I set up an appointment for this company to come measure my door and give me an estimate to install glass in my balcony door. First they missed the appointment and i had to keep calling to get someone on the phone to reschedule then i asked for a written proposal and had been calling for a week. Spoke to someone on the phone and they said they would get the measurements from the technician then email me the proposal. Days went by and i still hadn't received it. Called again today and they told me i had to pay $35 just to have a proposal emailed to me. Why would they not tell me this at the beginning? I would have had no problem with it and who charges to have a proposal emailed but didn't charge to come out? If you value professionalism I recommend that you do not use this company. After i wrote this review they called my phone to tell me to don't call them while using foul language. I'm warning everyone, use this comapny at your own risk. The positive reviews are probably just some friends that they got to leave them a review to make them look good. Truly the most unprofessional company i have ever dealt with.

Adam Rutkowski: I was extremely impressed with the level of service and expertise from DC Glass Doors & Window Repair. I had 11 windows in my townhouse that were very difficult to open, many had broken clips and one even had a cracked glass pane. I was concerned that I may need to replace several of the windows which would've been costly. One of their service managers visited, and provided a thorough and very reasonable repair estimate. The parts were ordered and within a week they returned to complete all of the repair work. I was shocked at how easily the windows open and function now! I couldn't be more thankful to them. Great job!

Steven Sansbury: I’m a local home improvement contractor that was looking for a new glass vendor. I requested estimates for a frame-less class shower door from several local glass vendors. DC Glass came in at the lowest price. A word to the wise, the lowest price does not equate to the best value. By far, these guys are the least professional folks I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The estimator did not take into account other bathroom fixtures when measure for glass shower door. I was baited with one price that was later increased, “after” providing the required 60% deposit. The lead-time for delivery changed from 4 days to better than 14 days, the install was poor, the installers were late, didn’t bother to clean the glass shower door, chrome hardware, or job site following the install, and it took almost 2.5 hours for a simple shower door install (unbelievable). Buyer, beware, these guys lack professionalism, offer poor customer service, poor attention to detail , and are not reliable. I’ll “Happily” spend $200 more for a better product purchase and install experience. I wouldn’t recommend DC Glass Doors and Windows to my worse enemy.
Brian Hillery: Extraordinarily unprofessional, I have no idea how they stay in business. After placing down a deposit on March 31st for a commercial glass door, and being told the door would arrive and be installed two weeks later, I was informed today, May 4th, that I would be receiving a refund of my deposit, with no explanation as to why the contracted work would not be completed. Stay away from this company. The owner will run you around in circles. They rescheduled more times than I can remember at this point. Terrible way to treat clients.

Joseph V. Roth: These guys have really done a terrific job and took care of business without disrupting my business traffic. The restaurant was broken into close to midnight on a saturday and I thought I would be sleeping inside all weekend because no one was open during these times. I was really happy when then picked up and secured my place by boarding up allowing me to go home and come back the next day for the glass replacement. Very convenient and professional service
Thomas Spencer: Took my deposit 6 weeks ago, haven’t returned a call so far. Hard to get a refund when you can’t get anyone on the phone! Wouldn’t refer them to an enemy!!

Leslie Swift: I am not in a position to assess value because nobody else would give me a bid on this very complex job -- 13 large nonstandard second floor windows not designed to open replaced by windows that do open. The windows are solid, perfectly fitting, and attractive. They sent over and paid for a painter/handyman to deal with minor cosmetic issue inside and outside the house. They did two other minor window and door jobs, also with the same level of professionalism. I would not hesitate to use them again and probably will as I have eight standard windows that will need replacement in the next few years.
Base 1 (R): Critical: Professionalism, ResponsivenessTheir work isn't' bad but they are EXTREMELY unreliable from a scheduling perspective. We'll have to call them 5 times to get anything done and they regularly will agree to an appointment to not ever show up.

The representative who came to give us a quote used a laser tool for precise measuring. He was very knowledgeable about all things glass. Tamunt association: I called about five foggy windows. Kennedy Glass came out the same day for a free estimate, and they were able to schedule the repairs quickly. Alex and David were very responsive and answered all my questions. They were excellent. Several companies came out for estimates, but we selected Kennedy Glass because Alex was meticulous and thorough. He did a great job on our windows and even gave us advice about avoiding future window problems. The prices were very reasonable compared to their competitors. Highly recommend!

T D: Alex came to inspect three window with large cracks to give us an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable. We had him come to a second house a couple of days later. The free estimate was easy to set up and communication during the whole process was excellent. We plan to have Kennedy Glass inspect all our windows and make recommendations at a couple more houses. Our homes are very old and it is better to check and caulk the panes before the glass is lost. I showed Alex a fourth window and Alex noticed the caulk was lacking. He used a clear caulk so when it dried no one could notice it and a small crack in the window was sealed without replacement. Highly Recommend!

Tera Eilers: These guys are the best! I contacted Kennedy glass through their website and received a response within an hour. They asked for pictures of the glass I had broken via text and gave me an estimate immediately. Alex was the technician that came to my home and I can’t say enough about him. He was super professional, knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. He gave made sure I was okay with the cost before he started and was finished within 15-20 minutes. He also let me know that there was a warranty included with the service (I had no idea). They were the first that I called, but I didn’t feel like I needed to look any further. I’ll definitely use them again and request Alex every time!

BigE LiveFreeOrDieTryin: I have a broken window and contacted this company to fix it. On Wednesday of the week in question, the contractor came to my home and took measurements of my broken window. The contractor said it would be a few days for the window glass to get cut and will be installed no later then next Monday. When Monday came, I couldn't get in contact with contractor and it appears for some reason my number had been blocked. Due to the non-responsiveness of the contractor, I cancelled the installation and hired another contractor. I hope my window is fixed soon. Service: Window installation
Response: Hello , we defenetly order your window that we lost money on , and also tried calling you but we didn't get any answers, secondly we didn't take any deposit from you, and the only delay was one day , and just a reminder you cancelled the work order , on the day in question . We also told that it takes three to four businesses days for the glass to be ready . Please remove this review .
Ericka Mills (Miss E): I want to start by acknowledging that they did a great job on the windows they did repair. I tried waiting to review this company until they fixed the issues I had with their service but it has been 3 months since they came out and they haven't made any attempts to rectify since they then. They charged me for replacement of 4 window screens and a patio door screen and they only did half of that. I have been back and forth with Bob but in general this company has communication issues and doesn't regularly update on the status of the project unless you contact them first. I had to constantly ask what was happening and didn't feel reassured that they were even coming. The last communication I was given a date and time and they still didn't show. Overall I wish they had better customer service and provided the whole service they charged me for. Service: Window repair

Says price match on their website but when I told her Dulles glass quoted me 699 for fixed euro screen with install and her quote was 1100... she said she couldn't match that. She hung up immediately. 1599 for a sliding door with install. A fixed euro screen cost 299 whole sale. Dulles does custom fixed screen for 699. Don't go with them is all I can say. Call around. Plus customer service is nonexistent. In response to their comment below about me lying.. They actually said "We can't match that price and hung up on me." They didn't bother even asking for the quotations. I actually have a quote from three different people, including another location from Arlington who agreed to match Dulles and were way more pleasant. Their quotes were $699 plus $100 for rainguard for an EURO glass on my tub. There was another one that was between 800-1000 who while not as cheap, was not as rude as you. Sure sounds like I have no quote doesn't it. Your response indicates all anyone needs to know about your customer service and attitude. you should probably get some new person to answer the phone instead of the woman that handled this call.

jay austin: I had an unfortunate break-in recently and needed about 14" x 30" of double-pane glass replaced in a window. It came out to about $180, which wasn't cheap, but looks great and was about half the price of another quote I'd received. They were friendly and fairly expeditious, even bringing some plywood for me to patch up the window with while I waited a few days for the replacement glass to come in. I hope I'll never need to contact them again ('cause no one likes broken windows), but am glad to know they're nearby.

Upon replacement the broken 1 was replaced but the old glass was not clean so now there is prominent dirt on the glass in between the windows which can't be cleaned. Have been calling the set up an appointment for 4 days and has not shown up for the appointment or return calls. This is poor quality work and does not deserve your business. I could have saved $200 by breaking out the broken glass and leaving the good pain and cleaning the window.

Andrey Pankov: Overall, we had a great experience with Robert and his Mission Exteriors team. We had our entire front door and frame removed and new frame, door, and transom installed. The work turned out top notch even though there were a few setbacks in the ordering timeline. We absolutely recommend Mission Exteriors to others because at the end of the day, the results speak for themselves. There were a few issues along the way, but Robert did his best to minimize their impact on the overall project. Initially, the few door designs we wanted turned out to not be available from the manufacturer, so out of his control. Then the door that was available took longer than expected to construct and deliver. This unfortunately got in the way of another project we were doing with the front of the house. However, Robert did understand this, and took on some additional finish work at no cost, in order to make up for the delay and disruption. Finally, the actual installation and painting of the door, storm door, and trim also took longer than expected, which meant my wife or I needed to be home more days than originally anticipated. Another positive experience was the “sales” process. Robert came by to take a look at the old door and hear what we were looking for, had some options for us to see and really made the entire thing easy. No hard sale, just a quick turnaround with the quote. At the end of the day, I am rating Mission Exteriors a 4.5 of 5 because their work and finished product were top notch, but the timeline and fulfillment could have been better. I understand that ordering and installation can vary by project, so I don’t hold them at fault for many of the delays.

Christopher Naughten: After an exhaustive search and multiple quotes to replace two (2) sets of windows in our MCM house, I contacted Andersen Windows directly, who referred me to Mission Exteriors as one of their premier installers in the DC Area. Robert came out twice to measure and to provide an estimate in person. We contracted with them and scheduled an install of two (2) Andersen Series 400 sliders and four (4) Andersen Series 400 awning windows. I cannot express how delighted we are with the windows and the professional installation. Manolo and Alex were here for two (2) days and just were wonderful to work with. They were extremely respectful especially because half of their time was spent in our master bedroom. They were very professional and cleaned up the work areas each day. Excellent team. The windows are beautiful and functional. We already feel the insulation benefits. Angel, the painter and his crew followed up for two (2) more days and was able to stain the new windows and trim to a very close match to our existing Anderson Windows and trim. Cleaned up each day. Amazing job. The windows are beautiful and functional. We already feel the insulation benefits and the beauty of the matching windows. We wanted to keep true to the original Andersen Windows installed when the house was built in 1950 and updated in 1960. Mission Exteriors hit a home run.

Of particular note with this company is they do not rely on high pressure kitchen table sales pitches like many other companies. You will not find them insisting you sign on the dotted line on their first visit. And ladies, of particular note, this company did not insist my husband be present for our conversations about money. (YES, so many local companies STILL do this but not Mission Exteriors) Prices provided were comprehensive and competitive. While ultimately window replacement on the scale we were considering, by a high quality design and build firm such as this, was not in our budget, we felt fairly treated by the knowledgeable sales team at Mission Exteriors throughout the exploration process.

Bob P: Mission Exteriors installed 21 Andersen Woodwright replacement windows in our house in Bethesda, as well as one vinyl sliding window in a basement window well, and did an excellent job. Robert the owner explained our choices, patiently answered all our questions, and remained engaged throughout the entire project. There was no annoying upsell, just some very thoughtful and objective suggestions on what options might work best, given the various sizes and locations of the existing windows. Daniel and his installation crew worked carefully and efficiently and ran an extremely clean and well-organized worksite. The job was finished on time, and clean-up was very thorough. We were very happy with the high quality of workmanship, as well as their solution to the problematical below-ground basement window that we thought would be too difficult to replace. We highly recommend Mission Exteriors, especially for the strong sense of craftsmanship that they bring to their work.

Dori Milburn: Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, ResponsivenessProcess was unclear. Wasn't aware that an estimator was coming first to evaluate my issue. He came, told me I'd have an estimate in a week and its been a month with no information. We'll be finding another company to spend our money with since they don't seem to need ours!
James Derrington: Zero stars for Blaine Window and Door. Awful experience from start to finish. We called to get an estimate to replace 2 exterior doors and repair 2 sliding doors. We scheduled an estimate appointment for their first available date which was 3 weeks after calling. After meeting with the with the estimator, he promised to email us an estimate within the week. After 3 weeks we hadn't gotten anything or heard from the company, I had to call twice to get the estimate emailed to me. When the $18,000 estimate was finally sent, it only represented some of the work we asked for and was so vague, it was clear zero effort was put into preparing it. For $18,000, you'd expect more than 'hardware, entry door lock' as the only description of the hardware they are expecting you to pay for. So, I called and left a message for someone to call me back. No response. 3 days later, I called and left a message for the owner to call me back. No response. I emailed the owner. No response. It is amazing that this place is able to stay in business when they failed at every level of a relatively simple project. I can certainly tell they aren't a thriving business. So, we are 6 weeks from the start of this process and zero progress has been made, just lots of valuable time and energy wasted. I suggest you go elsewhere!!
Greg Henry: Horrible experience. I dropped a sash off 3 months ago and they still don’t know when It will be repaired (they told me 3 weeks to start). They don’t answer the phone. They miss ordered the glass. I’m going to pick up the sash and bring to another shop. When I did get through to them they said I was lucky to be talking to someone, they usually don’t answer the phone. Service: Window repair
Herbert Rutherford: I contacted Blaine to address weatherstripping issues with a sliding glass door and four window openings in my condo. They provided a total price for the entire job. They did not complete the job and charged me more to do what should have been done initially. I agreed to pay them but felt that I being abused. They were scheduled to come back and finish the job on a Thursday. They never showed up. I called them, they came on Friday. They removed the glass sliding door, and replaced the weatherstripping. They do not use shoe covers on their shoes. They tracked dirt back into my condo after replacing the weatherstripping on the door while on the exterior porch. Val U_A (Valcookie): They offer replacement AND repair. They were not pushy, which I appreciate, and provided good service for my window repair. I had to knock off one star due to having trouble trying to contact them on the phone the first time. Edit: Hired them to replace some glass on my mid-century steel window (most businesses told me they could not be repaired or that no one does it), arrived on time and even gave me advice on proper maintenance. For reference I have Hope's Windows. I also needed insect screens, placed a custom order and they fit perfectly!
Brock Roughton: I had a screen for a sliding glass door repaired here recently. The new screen looks great. The service was very prompt. I dropped it off on a Monday and it was ready the next day.

Greg Terry: You will hear people say the prices here are exuberant, or that the service is a bit off, and they are people who have messed up doors and windows. The others say the only reason they are successful is because they are the only store that does what they do in the area. Quite correct. They are the only store in the area because the others ones sucked and failed. Blaine is not the cheapest. You want cheap, Amazon is right up there in your address box. Blaine has the selection in stock of what's common in this area. They have people who are well knowledged and understand the business and the technical side. Whether you're a novice to windows, screens and glass, or your a pro with a business, you will have a smooth transaction with them, and probably leave a bit more intelligent than you were when you came in. They have parts for doors, windows, screens, patios and anything else you can think of in that genre. They also have build services where they take your info and build what you need and I'm sure they have install services as well. Call ahead, their phone service is about as on point as their in person service. I have an account there for a reason, and I'm an auto mechanic.
Caroline Hilliard: I have used Blaine Windows for about 20 years as my company manages many properties and they have always been our go to for window related needs. Until the past 5 months or so they were great; we called them and they got it done. Not anymore! I have waited almost three months for a piece of glass. They ordered and brought the wrong thing after we waited three weeks for the glass to come in. They went back and ordered the tempered glass which was required. It has been four weeks and they don't answer the phones or reply to emails, of which we have made and sent several times. There were several mishaps before this current situation but this one has lead me to realize we will need to use someone else for our repairs and replacements. Kathryn Jackson: I was referred to this company by my realtor when I had a broken window when I bought my house in August. They came around Labor Day to “inspect” my broken window and made me pay a fee that would count towards a repair. I waited a month, never got a quote, so I called and was told it’d be another 4-8 weeks. The Monday after Thanksgiving I called and was told I’d have a quote within 24 to 48h. Nothing. Called Wednesday and was told they had a meeting but it’s be 30 min and I’d have the quote emailed. And tried again today and had to leave another voicemail. Uncertain on their quality of work since they can’t seem to be bothered to do their jobs.
