Miss Pixie's: what do users think?

Angus Bennion: This store is great! Lots of fun products.

Erin Wagner: I’ve gotten so many high quality items from Miss Pixie’s over the last several years, but today I’m finally leaving the five star review they’ve always deserved! We had scheduled a delivery for them to bring a table we purchased, and Miss Pixie herself rolled up in a pickup truck this morning right on time. It turns out the delivery drivers were stuck in an elevator, but somehow that didn’t stop them at all! We gave her a hand and she didn’t charge us the usual delivery fee to make up for the trouble (what trouble?!). We look forward to continuing to shop at Miss Pixie’s as we furnish our home.

India Lindsay: Store has a variety of furniture, art, and random decorations. Everything is laid out artistically while still being easy to walk around. Majority of items are on the pricier side, though you can find a few steals. I snagged a painted medium-sized pot hand painted in Italy for $12.

Jace Warble: Miss Pixies is a lovely little shop with beautiful pieces, helpful and knowledgeable staff, and price that matches quality. Definitely worth stopping by!

Amy Clerkin: Nicely curated selection of items at reasonable prices. Owner is very responsive to any concerns. We love our vintage couch

MrIrali: One of the cutest boutique home goods stores in DC. And reasonably priced too

keva bates: It was really nice!! I hadn't ever been in there before. The store was a mix of contemporary and nostalgia. There were comic books, marbles, kitchen tools, and furniture. I can't wait to go back.

Brittney Valcin: I absolutely LOVE Miss Pixie’s!! My mother has raved about this place for a long time and I finally had the pleasure of stopping by. They have a wide variety of things for every taste. So much character! I love to buy random things lol. So of course I bought a few things 🤣. One store that is true to “if you love, BUY IT! It may not be there tomorrow!” I WILL BE BACK

Rachael Brown: Everything is over priced just because they say "antique". But that wasn't even my issue. I was in the store for 10 minutes and passed the store employee and was never greeted. I watched her greet other guests who walked in after me and was super cordial to another guest. Cool. I need to furnish my entire apartment, but I'll take my money to someone who wants it.

Alexandra Goodman: Lovely antique store with some really nice pieces. Prices for some of the larger items were reasonable, but pricing was kind of all over the place. Obvious sets of items (chairs, side tables, glasses, etc.) were priced individually which was weird for an antique store. Other pieces were priced way too high, like $95 for an IKEA mirror or $250 for a simple basic wooden console table (which would have been $50 anywhere else but DC). Overall, I enjoyed this store and walking around inside, but I probably won’t buy here due to the pricing.

Evolution Home: what do users think?

L. EarlScott: Plenty of unique pieces. Loved looking through every nook and cranny..
Response: Thanks L. EarlScott! We love being able to provide unique items to our customers. It's almost like a new store every week!

Susan Douglas: Lots to look at here! An eclectic collection of antique and vintage furniture and decor items... as well as jewelry. Some items are on consignment and others for sale by individual vendors. I like to drop in regularly as the inventory changes often. Eager to see the new location on South Pickett St in May!

Nicole Gauvin: Great space, lots to see

Karmei Law: They take good care of their customers, you will find amazing furniture here.

Heather James: I visited this store today. The pieces of furniture and items were unique and interesting. I found that most of the items were way overpriced. I saw a few dressers that I liked that were refurbished ,painted or remodeled. However they didn't look worth the $300 or more price tag. Every thing here seemed and looked over priced. If you are looking for a good deal this is not the place to come. I am no expert on antiques so maybe many of these items are antiques. You might be better off going to Ikea or Value Furniture if you are price conscious.

Hyunsun Toney: I got pretty good deal dishes and pop up book for my daughter!!It’s nice antique store.

Jorge Luis Colombo: The best prices for art, furniture and a lot of decor items. Always offering new stuff.

marybeth griffin: Great place! So many beautiful things. Nicely set up.
Response: Hi MaryBeth, thanks for visiting! We hope to see you again soon!

Justin “Nytalite” H: Don’t let the sketchy surroundings scare you away; this is one of the best antique stores in the area. The game of chances is well-played here, as there’s always something interesting to see here. Their furniture selection is surprisingly good, and the items are often of a higher quality than modern competition.

Robert ballintine: Love this place. Great items you'd never find anywhere else. So....stay away! Ok?😉

Design Within Reach: what do users think?

Jim Michaels: While the design offerings are attractive, I cannot do business with a store that has no interest in their clients. I have experienced being ignored in many of their store locations but the Washington DC store takes the prize. Not one person greeted me or offered help in the 25 minutes that I wandered the store looking for what I had received an email for that very morning. When I did finally ask someone and show a photo of the item, I received a perfunctory, “sorry” that it was not in stock. I was sorry to interrupt him from typing on his laptop and sorrier yet that I had imagined actually receiving some assistance from a salesperson. How silly of me!
Response: Hi Jim, we deeply apologize for your your recent experience. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We truly value you as a customer. If we have the opportunity to impress you in the future, our Virtual Studio and Customer Care team would be happy to help. If you'd like to chat further, please do not hesitate to contact us at service@dwr.com.

Max Crocetta: After purchasing a second-hand Herman Miller Sayl task chair, I wanted to add the Lumbar Support Kit that it was missing. Upon calling DWR, I was greeted by Nikoo. She was friendly and prompt in answering any/ all questions I had, then quickly sent over the invoice so that I could move forward with my order. I realize that due to COVID and other variables in today's world, many industries are experiencing supply chain difficulties and that there will be a wait for this item, however I appreciate Nikoo explaining the circumstances and setting clear expectations! Looking forward to receiving this piece and completing my chair! :)

ro Hu: Very poor customer service for such an expensive furniture store, I had ordered a part for pedant lamp last June, since then just heard excuses from the store manager and staff member, DWR needs to improve on customer service experience. I am against name shaming so I won’t share name of individuals !!
Response: Hi Ro, thank you for taking the time to review your recent experience. We do truly want to reassure you that this isn’t the experience we want for you or any of our customers. I’m so sorry for the disappointment and upset this has caused. If we can help in any way, can you please contact us at service@dwr.com?

Dondré: I really hope you have a better experience than I did, but you should avoid purchasing from this studio. I would recommend going here to only see the furniture in person and testing it out to see if it's comfortable or maybe clarify a color. THEN ORDER THROUGH THE MANUFACTURER NOT THE STUDIO. I ordered a herman miller sayl chair from here on December 3rd. There was some confusion with the color I wanted. The picture looked grey on the imagine I was shown and I made it clear that I wanted a white chair. I was told that the chair was actually white and that the lighting in the picture made it look grey. I trusted the person who worked there they would know better than me. Turns out the chair was grey when I got it. No big deal, honest mistake. My biggest issue is that it is now February 2nd and I'm still dealing with this problem. I still don't have the chair I actually wanted. On email exchanges and phone calls they tell me what I want to hear but no action has been taken, only suggestions about what they can do, which has only been offering me a partial refund. I made it clear I'd rather do what it takes to get the color I want. It seems like they have been stalling on purpose so that the return policy runs out. I have reached out to Herman Miller in hopes to get this situation handled. This is ridiculous.

Lucy: Sent me wrong item. They were quick to get their item back but still have not managed after three days to even start shipping the correct item for what was supposed to be next day delivery.
Response: Hi Lucy, we're sorry to hear of your experience with us and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We'd like to look into this further with our team and follow up with you directly. Can you please send us an email at service@dwr.com with your contact details?

Jessica Nazarova: We have been in this store a couple of times ordering furniture and taking our time deciding between things. Jonathan has been extremely patient and kind with us. My husband and I have vowed to stop shopping online after this in-store experience! :) Even our 5 year old, who typically would hate being in a furniture store, enjoys being at Design Within Reach because he gets to play with the spinning kids chair and globe lights. We also spoke with four or five other designers in their store and everybody was extremely helpful and kind when we had questions about something. The atmosphere here is great!!!
Response: Thank you for your very kind words and feedback, Jessica - we couldn't be happier to this! We'll be sure to share your compliments with Jonathan and the team who will be delighted to hear that you enjoyed your experience so much. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do for you! -Kate

I. David Shocket: Worst customer service ever in the Georgetown store. Longtime customer of DWR and have never had a bad experience previously. We ordered 6 Bacco chairs during the March sale which were in stock. We received 4 chairs in a timely fashion; two chairs lost en route. Replacement chair was wrong color. Multiple emails to the store manager with no response. Visits to the store on several occasions with reassurances that we would have a response in 48 hours - no response. The corporate office resolved our issues in 48 hours, and we finally received our sixth chair in August (5 months later). Order online and avoid the aggravation.
Response: We're sorry to hear of this experience, David, as we strive to always provide a best-in-class experience for our clients, and we hold our studios to a very high standard. In this case, we clearly fell short. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We'll ensure this gets to the appropriate teams for review. If you could please send us a message (service@dwr.com) or give us a call (800.944.2233), we’d love to talk to you about how we can make this right. Thank you for reaching out!

Josef Assouline: Walked in, looked at the prices, walked out immediately. Design within reach? In reach of what? Bankruptcy?
Response: Hi Josef, thank you for the comment. This is actually a common misconception about the company name, so we’re happy to address it. Design Within Reach started out (more than 20 years ago) with the mission to make authentic modern design accessible. Back then, customers simply weren’t able to buy the classics (Eames, Saarinen, Le Corbusier, etc.) at retail, meaning those pieces were “out of reach” for anyone who wasn't a professional interior designer, working with middlemen or visiting Europe to do their furniture shopping. DWR began forming relationships with renowned design manufacturers around the world to stock classics and newly designed pieces, all with the idea to make design “within reach.” Over the years we’ve continued to expand our assortment with new products at a variety of prices. Hope that background is helpful.

Sam Schrantz: Was very happy with my experience, much more than I was expecting. I was referred to them by the Herman Miller store so I could try out the Aeron and Embody office chairs before purchasing one. The salesperson actually tried to create a personal connection and didn't try to talk me into anything I wasn't already looking for. He was well informed and told me about the company's history, his personal work experience, and how they continue to help their customers even after their purchase. I came in expecting to be satisfied with the Aeron chair, but found the Embody far more comfortable and easier to move around in. The salesperson was able to explain the difference between the normal embody chair and a limited edition version that is actually cheaper with all the upgrades. Overall, it was a very positive experience and though I wasn't planning on purchasing from them, I probably will now.

hansel tan: The Herman Miller sale sign invited my wife and I to check out Eames lounge chair inside the clean and well designed store of Design Within Reach. Both of us came inside the store with a cup of coffee in hand, we politely asked if it’s ok to bring beverage indoor and the staff answered politely that it was ok. The staffs were very polite and helpful to both my wife and I, definitely a great selling point for furnitures shop. We checkout out the multiple different lounge chairs they have on display with great caution and loved all of them.

Room & Board: what do users think?

Mark Weinress: Really like this store, and all the Room & Board locations. Large and nicely laid out for easy shopping. Well priced, well made stylish furniture with a good, but not overwhelming selection. Very helpful staff. Lots of options on upholstery and other details. I've bought quite a number of pieces at the Room & Board in Chelsea, NYC.
Response: Thanks, Mark!

Brandon Gaimari: Customer service is actually good but products are over priced junk. Bought a bedroom set and the design of the bed causes it to squeak every time you roll over. Customer service had Dr. Furniture come out twice - one time screws were missing in the bed, the next time installed slat pads (why were these not installed originally?). For the price you pay, the quality is not what it should be. Beware.

Anna Harrington: First, we had a guy helping us who like was non responsive at the Logan circle room and board. Then I ordered online for July 7 and the furniture store confirmed via email and when I called they told me July 7 was unavailable. Not good service for the price and wouldn’t buy here again.

Veronica Lim Almario: Staff was super helpful. Peter helped us out and would highly recommend him!! We didn't feel pressure to buy anything. Peter helped us decide on a couch that fit our home and budget.
Response: Thanks, Veronica!

Michael Horton: Room & Board celebrates PRIDE MONTH. This years #Capitalpride Parade begins at the corner of 14th and T street. Room & Board has put up the flags, in support of equality and inclusion and truly welcomes all.

Summer Logan: I was working with Lisa (who apparently is the store manager). Her behavior does not seem like she should be. My problem was passed off to Peter and I felt underappreciated as a client. Would not recommended the people that work here. Service is below expectations for the money you spend and management should do a better job. Seems like they do not care or engage with clients. Highly disappointed and unsatisfied.

Kathryn Adamcik: I ordered a couch from here in August and it was to be delivered at the start of December. It was delayed until the end of December and I waited for it to arrive. 1 day before it was supposed to arrive in the warehouse I got an email saying it would be delayed for 2 more months. I waited for 2 months and days before it was supposed to arrive in the warehouse after the 2 month delay I got an email saying it was delayed again. I have called customer service and they have been of no help. They have no idea when the couch will arrive or what the progress is on it. They will not give a discount for this long delay. I am stuck in a pattern where I expect the couch to arrive any day, and then it gets pushed back. This is not okay. I paid over 3k for my couch and am just getting brushed off by customer service, the managers that I have spoken with, and the associates who we spoke to in the store we shopped at. I was planning on purchasing a side table, coffee table, and lamp after the couch arrived, but I will no longer be using room and board in the future. I ask you all to be wary of purchasing from here. I paid for the couch in full and now it looks as if it will never arrive. I expect more from this company, and am highly dissapointed.
Response: Hi Kathryn, thank you for shopping with us and taking the time to leave a review. We understand your frustration and we're working closely with our American manufacturers to produce and deliver items as quickly as possible. Please give us a call at 800.301.9720 for an update on your order.

Tobias Wang: Fantastic customer service. Very responsive & helpful to send me missing components - shout out to Beth Gotting

Catie Kemp: Love love love. They were a bit too pricey for me to consider when I was living in my apartment, but since buying my place last November I have become a very loyal customer. I started working with Daren to get an idea of what I wanted in my living room- just having the sounding board was so helpful. I have since outfitted my entire living room with them- probably went to the store at least ten times before making my order and never felt harassed or pushed into buying immediately. My mom bought her first house in over a decade this summer and I’ve encouraged her to buy with them too (which she has and has had an equally good experience). The biggest thing for me when I’m spending money on furniture is knowing that a) it will last and b) having confidence in my purchase. I most recently ordered a set of four dining chairs which arrived on Friday and the color just isn’t quite right in my space. I went into the store yesterday and discussed the issue with an associate (didn’t catch her name)- they are very up front about wanting to make things right if you’re not happy. She gave me a sample swatch to take home and test in my space and this morning I called customer care who was happy to facilitate an exchange for me. They are back ordered until February so they even offered me the option of keeping the current chairs (so long, of course, as they are kept in excellent condition). Even speaking to their central customer service center is a personalized experience- I don’t have the same concern with other businesses that my order or request is going to get lost in the shuffle. You can get just about anything in any color/fabric/wood stain/finish that they have and the quality is outstanding- I really wish they were in the kitchen cabinet business because their wood quality, in my opinion, is unmatched by any other business I’ve explored at their scale. Everything is made in the US (Minnesota I believe). Of course with the pandemic things (especially custom items) can take a couple or a few months to come in, but this is far from specific to R&B and well worth the wait. I’ve had three or four delivery experiences with them and each time the employees were punctual, communicative, and, most importantly, careful with my home and furniture! In summary I can’t recommend them enough. They have found a customer for life in me and I am happy to scream my unsolicited appreciation from the rooftops any time! Edited to add- forgot to mention they are dog friendly (with treats!). If this isn’t the sign of a good business I don’t know what is.
Response: Hi Catie, thank you so much for shopping with us and taking the time to leave a review. We're so happy to have you as a customer!

Renee Davis: Don’t get me wrong, I love this furniture store. The customer service is great. Delivery service (workers) is great. It’s the actual product, the furniture quality that deserves 1 star (none if I could) our last purchase was the Reese sectional sofa. The buttons pick you when you sit on it and the cushions are cheap. No Cush whatsoever! It’s like sitting on the floor. The entertainment center has no wire outlets in the back for cord management and it scratches easily. And even though the only rerun policy listed is for mattresses I was told (Ginny) that if it was a couple weeks past they would be able to take it back? Do not be fooled by the pretty picture. It’s not worth the price!
Response: Hi Renee, we want you to be happy with your purchase and understand it can take a few days to a few weeks to know if your new items will work for you. Give us a call at 800.301.9720 and we'll work with you to resolve the issue to your satisfaction.

Community Forklift Nonprofit Reuse Warehouse: what do users think?

James Walsh: This place is so unique. It's a great way to upcycle instead of buying some random new piece of terribly made cheap material. Picked up some solid wood chairs for cheap. They absolutely need to be refinished, but they are solid and needed a new home. If you're okay with using some elbow grease, then this place is awesome. It's also just a responsible use of materials.
Response: Thanks for the great review, James, and thanks for finding a new use for those chairs!

Ramy Sharabi: Absolutely a must go for treasure hunters and if you are looking for home remodeling and furnishing in a budget. It is not an antique store, rather a salvage store that sell second hand and used construction, home improvement, kitchen cabinets, doors and windows, and electric appliances etc for decent prices. Friendly staff and plenty of parking spots.
Response: Thanks a lot for the great review, Ramy! Glad you enjoy the reuse warehouse!

Chanpen Tee: Thr store is well organized. You can find many interesting stuff here. The price is good. Staff is nice.
Response: Thanks for the great review, Chanpen! Glad you enjoy the store!

Nathan Hurst: LOVE this place. We found three of the most dope vintage light fixtures for our funky bungalow. Staff is super nice and helpful, and the selection is truly mind-blowing.
Response: Hello, Nathan! Thanks a lot for the great review! I just saw the photos that you posted, and the vintage pendant looks awesome over your dining table. And I love your chairs! Thanks for the support!

Valeria Contreras: All DYIers, artists, small contractors, and thrifts! Come forth, come forth! All of us know the pain and struggle of finding what we need at the right price when our pockets are empty of coin. We know the sorrow of dreaming of a project but knowing the expense is too high. Fret no more, friends! Community Forklit Nonprofit is the paradise for all of us who love to create from old; for all of us whose creativity is bound to a smaller budget. Doors, shelves, tools, lamps, lights, knobs, tables, sinks, table legs, rugs, and more in tdifferent conditions and styles for all of use to buy. The best part, at a fraction of its original price. Not only is this place filled with amazing items to be discovered, it is also filled with the friendliest of people who are willing to help you find the treasure you need. But don't forget to give back! Don't throw away that tool you no longer need, or the paint that isn't the color your thought, maybe an old shelf doesn't fill you with joy anymore. Bring them all to Community Forklift as a donation and help your fellows.
Response: Thank you so much for the amazing review and photos! We appreciate the support!

Jennifer Ibrahim: What an amazing community resource that i bet most people aren’t even aware is here. This is the goodwill of home renovation. They will pickup things you don’t need anymore (they recently came to my home in dc to pick up an old toilet and vanity for donation). They have such gorgeous stuff and lots of awesome antiques and all at great prices. Love the idea of shopping here since it’s environmentally friendly to recycle and reuse instead of buy new!
Response: Thank you for the kind words - and for spreading the word about our free donation pickup service :)

chelseas21: This place is so cool. It has fireplace mantels, doors, salvaged wood, light fixtures, bathroom fixtures, door hardware, windows, and Furniture of course. And more! There is a lot to choose from and walking through this place is like walking through any other thrift store. You never know what you're going to find.
Response: Thank you so much, we're glad you had fun here!!!

Melani Harden: I was walking the wrong way as I am out of state and wanted to visit this place. A man in there was very rude to me and started just saying no. So I asked for help and he said “im on break” and walked away. I understand people need to eat but dang there are better ways to speak to people and offer them help. Walked out immediately due to that experience.
Response: Hi Melani, I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience at the warehouse. That's not a great way to be treated and it's very atypical of our team to be rude. Would you mind contacting us at info@CommunityForklift.org? Would like to hear more and figure out how we can help. Thank you!

Clarice Snyder: Interesting! I didn't find what I was looking for but would come back for items if I needed them.
Response: Thanks for the review (and all the excellent photos!), Clarice!

blue HGK: It's a wonderful place for individuals who don't have money to buy furniture it is a all so non-profit company and sales Furniture also
Response: Thanks for the 5 stars! We appreciate the review!

Offenbachers Home Escapes: what do users think?

roderick jones: I work there. Great product and even better people to work with!Tons of Furniture in stock now!
Response: Thank you for leaving us such a nice review, Roderick. We know how busy things can get, so we definitely appreciate your taking the time to do so. Please visit us in Rockville soon, and say hi to Roderick. I’m sure he’d be happy to see you!

Grant Bubb: Terrific customer service! Definitely recommend shopping here. Alex was extremely helpful with our purchase. He helped us get something in our budget and kept us informed throughout the delivery process.

Lynn Mann: If you are in need of outdoor furniture in the D.C. Metro area this is the place to come! The employees are very nice and knowledgeable. They helped me pick out the perfect fire pit and had custom cushions made for my lounge chairs. Everything arrived when promised and the prices were very reasonable.
Response: Lynn, thank you for the review and for the photos. We're glad we were able to help and grateful for your appreciation and your business.

Tim Tousey: Quality of the furniture is great, but the product availability and hassle of actually getting what we paid for was quite the opposite. After getting half of what was purchased a couple weeks after it was promised, we cancelled the remaining items save for an umbrella. When we heard the umbrella was ready for pickup (couple of months and a different fabric later) we called to confirm that we could come get it, only to learn that it hadn’t made it to the store from the warehouse after all. So we wait another week…. Just really unimpressed and inconvenienced with the delivery aspects of the operation.
Response: Very sorry, Tim. As you probably know, there are major worldwide problems in getting things manufactured and transported. We are all feeling the pain of that right now. The good news is that we have LOTS of stuff to choose from that is currently in stock now. Let us know if there's anything else we can do for you. Thanks.

Rich Wilhelm: We bought a wonderful 6-seat table, chairs and Treasure Garden umbrella that have given us great pleasure on our very sunny back deck. I arrived near closing time, but Terrance and Roderick were very helpful getting us exactly what we wanted, no matter the time. Pleasant and personable, they made sure I got an affordable price too!

Clifford Crittenden: Two stars — one star for being open and one for selling outdoor furniture. Other than nailing their basic business function, we found Offenbachers in Rockville to be a suboptimal experience. We arrived on a busy Saturday and waited for 30 minutes before an associate looked our way. We understood the constraints of being short staffed and patiently waited our time. Once helped, our sales associate seemed less than interested in us as customers, and as I was asking for pricing information he expressed an interests in talking to other customers. We had spent less then five minutes with him. My wife and I left and 90 minutes later spent a great deal of money at another outdoor furniture store, and feel great about our purchase and never having to consider Offenbachers again.

Lisa Sarnovsky: Great experience overall. We visited the Rockville store a few weeks ago and had Steve as our salesperson. Steve was patient and knowledgable, explaining the differences in patio furniture options (construction, fabrics, anticipated customer order waiting periods, etc.). After about an hour of asking questions and testing things out, we decided to order a mix of items in stock and floor models. We received a phone call a few days ahead of delivery and again that same day with the confirmed delivery time. Everything showed up in good condition and the delivery service was highly professional. We are going to be enjoying our high quality patio furniture for years to come.

Ann Yetter: My husband and came to Offenbachers to checkout new outdoor furniture after a family member broke through the seat of our outdoor chairs. The outdoor furniture we were using was purchased from Offenbachers well over 15 years ago. It has sat out on our deck, uncovered, through every imaginable weather and held up exceptionally. It was time to get new, so we traveled to the Offenbachers store, just to look around. Brenda greeted us and told us to feel free to look around and asked if we had questions. We explained what we wanted, and she worked with me and my indecision for over an hour. She gave us suggestions, and then gave us time to contemplate. When we decided to buy, she sat with us, and helped us with size, shape, and color of the deck furniture. It was delivered before the estimated date, placed on my deck, and the trash removed. It is beautiful! The service, delivery (we didn’t have to be home) and follow up have been exceptional. Although the furniture is pricey, we know it will last years and will still be beautiful.
Response: Ann, thank you very much for taking the time to write this review. We appreciate the effort and are delighted to hear that you were happy with us! And thanks for your continued business!

Michelle De Jong: Brenda gave me exceptional customer service! I arrived without an appointment but she welcomed me into the store since no other customers were there. She was very knowledgeable about the products, very personable, and engaging. The table and chairs I ordered were in stock. A few days later she called to say only four chairs were in stock. I was having family in town so she took it upon herself to find two other chairs. She did a fantastic job!!
Response: Michelle, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I'm so glad that we were able to help you to your satisfaction and that Brenda went the extra mile. (She always does!) And thanks for your business!

rachel: My husband and I came here a few weeks ago to buy outdoor furniture for our townhouse. We had such a great experience. Brenda was incredibly helpful and remained in contact with us after our purchase to make sure the furniture was delivered successfully and that we were happy. Highly recommend coming here, and Brenda is great!
Response: Wow! Thank you very much, Rachel. We're very happy to hear that you had such a great experience. And thanks for your business too!

R-Home Furniture Store for live edge wood slabs furniture: what do users think?

Jon La Marr: I would give R-Home Furniture 100 stars if I could. An absolutely amazing place to get custom, hand-made, and beautiful furniture at great prices. We've had endless problems with the "brand name" furniture places, but you will not have any problems going here. We hand picked our pieces and had them custom made/delivered in under a week! R-Home Furniture is family-run from creation to delivery. Every interaction we've had with them has been a breeze. We will definitely be back to get more soon!

M M King: The R-Home Furniture team is amazing! From selection of the wood to designing the table, bench seating, and end table, the service and support were first class! The finished products were great!

Jessica Kropf: This is a good store to visit if you like solid wood furniture. They have some items available to carry away same day, and offer custom orders as well. They also have a lot of large wood slabs on hand to select and custom finish for live edge tables. The location at 2936-B Prosperity Ave. is scheduled to close and consolidate with the Alexandria location (possibly by July 2022?). They have live edge wood slabs there still, along with rustic reclaimed cabinets and furniture, tansu style chests, and tables and chairs. Items are discounted at that location currently until the move, or visit the main location in Alexandria for a wider selection of furniture and decorative items.

Kaitlin Beach: This is truly a hidden gem. We were looking for a new table and found R-Home. The service was excellent, helpful but not at all pushy. I could not believe the amazing selection of quality, handmade wood pieces, including reclaimed and live-edge wood slabs. Prices are super reasonable for the excellent quality, especially as it's right in the DC area. We didn't see anything else close to this selection and price for the quality. We came away with a dining table made of reclaimed oak that will last us for the long haul. Delivery was great. We cannot stop raving about this purchase!

John Crumbley: My wife and I have purchased several items from Niko. Stools, chairs, patio furniture, and other knick/knacks. You name it, they have it. He and his family are lovely, fair, and produce quality furniture. We always consider R-Home first whenever we are in the market for a new furniture item. Strongly recommended...

Arthur Lord: Great quality, family-owned business, with even better customer service. We were very happy with the dining room table and chairs that we bought. After we used the table daily for a year, we noticed the wood started to separate at one end-- we contacted the owner (Bram) and he happily fixed the table, free of charge. Even gave us a loaner for the days it was in their shop. They picked it up and dropped it off around our schedule. It looks and works great now. Talk about standing behind your products. Would definitely shop here again.

Cory C: The storefront might seem small at first glance, but inside is a huge warehouse of unique furniture from around the world. I was blown away by size inside the store and the amount of furniture in it. The pieces in the store are mix of contemporary and classic pieces of beautiful, solid hardwood and they also offer accents and accessories. While shopping, the staff was kind, friendly, and helpful. While I was browsing, they even offered to customize pieces of furniture to fit into any sized spaces-- (which was great for furnishing my apartment!). The tables, chairs, and media console that I got all look simple and beautiful. Next time I'm in Virginia, I'll definitely be stopping here again. Potterybarn pieces of furniture without the prices. Would recommend.

Chandra Khoe: This store is a National Treasure. The wood product is so great and awesome. We never see many stores like this in the United States. The quality of wood products, the products variation, the customer services are wonderful. Surely, we will buy more furniture again from this store.

JP Murphy: After looking at all the usual places for outdoor furniture we found R-Home. We really liked what we found in the store and it was hard to decide what table and chairs to purchase for our new deck. We decided on a teak table and chairs that we are very happy with and look great! Bram was wonderful and delivered exactly on time and we are very pleased with the selection, price and service. We will likely be back!

Marc and Ann Bickoff: The desk we ordered arrived on time. It is exactly what we wanted. This small family owned company is completely professional. We will most definitely use them when shopping for future furniture needs. R-Home Furniture carries different and unusual items. What a welcome change from the standard furniture store fare!

Warehouse Showrooms: what do users think?

Jennifer Zydney: My best customer experiences come about when someone I do business with makes a problem go away. That was the case with Warehouse Showrooms. Knowing lead times are stretched, we ordered some outdoor furniture well ahead of when we’d need it. When we approached the date that we thought we’d take delivery, we learned there had been some miscommunication about how/when the delivery would occur. Warehouse Showrooms really bent over backwards to address the situation and make it work for us. Super helpful and responsive customer service. Furniture delivery guys were great too, very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to enjoy our Polywood rockers!

Sara Barth: Warehouse Showrooms is great! We purchased a bedroom set and couldn’t be happier. Excellent quality solid wood furniture at reasonable prices. The staff at Warehouse Showrooms are so easy to work with and gave us realistic expectations about delivery timelines. We ended up adding a piece to our order a few weeks after our initial order was placed and they did not charge us for the second delivery. We’ll definitely shop with Warehouse Showrooms again!

Margaret Veenstra: This local business is great! The shopkeepers are friendly and helpful. All the furniture is made in America! Much of the wood furniture is crafted by Amish. We find value and quality in everything that we purchase here. We’ve previously purchased a bedroom set and today we purchased a couple mattress sets and a bed. We can’t wait til delivery day! Support local business, you wil not be disappointed.

Barry Rosman: We bought 5 matching walnut chairs to go with our new Live Edge table. The chairs legs were too wide to fit 2 chairs side by side. After some discussion, the came up with an innovative solution to move the table legs at no charge. They saved the day and fixed it within 24 hours. That is service. They are very helpful, creative and very easy to do business with.

David White: Great experience with Jorge for prior purchases, hand-made Amish furniture is awesome and we've enjoyed it thus far.

Janet LZ: BEAUTIFUL FURNITURE!! Warehouse Showrooms has gorgeous furniture! The quality is outstanding and the prices are very reasonable! Helpful sales personnel. I have bought at least 12 pieces from this store and have never been disappointed. Many of the items can be customized. This place is awesome!

Samuel Hodgson: This store offers beautiful, high quality, and very functional furniture. The staff is friendly, and the service both before and after purchase is phenomenal. My fiancée and I have returned to them for multiple items, and had an outstanding experience each time. We struggled at other stores to find items to fit our budget, needs, and aesthetic preferences, but Warehouse Showrooms has always come through. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Alek Cannan: High quality, hand made, solid wood furniture at fair prices. This showroom is excellent and the staff are really knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We visited the showroom looking for a dining set and a sleeper sofa. We were really impressed with the range of options available and the high quality workmanship. And most items are very customizable to adjust sizes and wood types and finishes to match just what you are looking for. We are really impressed and would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for long lasting furniture.

Paula Lewis: Great experience. We wanted to try out a particular brand of chair before ordering a set online. Warehouse Showrooms had great customer service and after we decided we did like the chairs, they were able to order them for us at a better price than we would have gotten buying directly from the manufacturer. They also had a wide selection of other really nice furniture. Would definitely shop there again.

iktibar rapkat: We ordered 2 beautiful real Leather brown couches and we couldn’t be any happier with it. Andy has been great help, delivery guys were super nice. Price is very reasonable, quality of the couches are phenomenal!!!

Peg Leg Vintage: what do users think?

Molly Anne: this place has amazing furniture and decor. the owner has a great eye and is super friendly. Only challenge is I wish I could afford more of their stuff 😭 it's not cheap but everything I've seen is high quality. It's where I'd go for a special piece I want to last.

Sean Augustino: Wonderful shop, good quality furniture and professionally restored. Chrissy was super helpful, very patient as we made our decision, and gave us useful information on every piece we looked at. Her contracted delivery service, Loony's, was also great, they were speedy, courteous, and careful. I would definitely buy from PegLeg again!

That Brunette: Delightful shop with a chatty owner. The shop has small items like cloth napkins and decanter sets but the main focus is mid-century furniture. There are a lot of lighting fixtures and a corner with clothes and bags. Great for decatorators, collectors, and remodelers.

linda feldman: I contacted Peg Leg on a whim, having found a specific room divider in a google image search that led me to their website. I'm in NY, and Peg Leg is in MD, so the exercise felt like a fool's errand but the moment I got on the phone with Krisi, I felt like anything was possible. She gave me all the information I needed, including tips and wisdom on interstate shipping, all of this interspersed between jokes and anecdotes --- I felt like I was talking to a friend I'd known for years. I called her on a Saturday afternoon, and by Wednesday the furniture was in my living room. She generously took the time to 1) allay my fears about booking a trucking company online, 2) meet that trucking company on a day she wasn't scheduled to be open, and 3) send me a slew of photos in case anything happened in transport. I cannot recommend Peg Leg Vintage highly enough, for MCM furniture but also just for awesome conversation with a lovely person. Thank you, Krisi!

Spencer W: Krisi was extremely knowledgeable about mid-century furniture and provided excellent customer service! We'll definitely be back for more great finds.

Jared Krichevsky: Wonderful place with high end, well restored, mid-century modern furniture. The owner is wonderful, helpful, and a great conversationalist (as well as being knowledgeable on everything in the store and more).

Robert Kinsler: Expert. Friendly. Solid Prices (MCM is expensive anyway you cut it!). Have bought and will buy again! Willing to talk shop on MCM things including pieces at other stores, etc. Just a nice lady all around. Support local. Support small.

Heather Knutsen: Dealing with Peg Leg was easy breezy. Just what I needed

Mariah Hancock: Always a great experience. The owner is chipper and engaging. Pricing is very fair for great quality wood furniture that has clearly been restored to immaculate condition. If you are looking for dirt cheap used furniture this is not the place. But if you are looking for classic mid century pieces that will last a lifetime, check this place out.

Adrian: While you can buy midcentury pieces at many places, none of them provides the great customer service of Peg Leg. Highly recommended!

Pretty Chic DC - New, Vintage, Consignment Women's Clothing: what do users think?

Samantha Varney: An amazing gem! A must stop if you are a vintage shopper. They have the largest selection of items and the staff is so friendly.

Araminta Watson: Some great finds!! Lovely store

Mary bradshaw: I have had wonderful luck finding gowns and cocktail dresses for special occasions. The owner, after listening closely to my wishes and tastes, always manages to pull something elegant from her extensie inventory. Most recently, my great find was a designer cocktail suit still proffering its tags. It had never been worn..I received many compliments.

Denise: Such a great store! The pieces are really chic, stylish, unique and high quality. The owner is super amazing, welcoming and kind! Her customer service is unbeatable. A must-go shop in Georgetown!

Sarah Ruehle: You HAVE to come to this place. The clothes here are gorgeous, classic, quality, and reasonably priced! Holly Golightly would def shop here for her style, for perspective. The owner is kind and helpful and lovely. This is a must for consignment shoppers with classic style!

Kayla Aburida: hidden gemPretty chic is one of a kind. you will find so many unique beautiful pieces in the shop. highly recommend, especially to those searching for thrift stores around D.C.

Maeve Lopez: this store was so nice!! there is a beautiful garden in the back that had a bunch of pretty clothes and there are also beautiful pieces of jewelry upfront.

Zeynep Kocabal: I absolutely love Pretty Chic! When you enter this store, you will think that you have found your long lost friend from High School. The owner has such a nice personality, and she goes out of her way to make everyone welcomed. The selection is wonderful, and one never can guess what one will find. All styles are current and in great condition. I would recommend this store a million times over. The owner’s customer service and high quality items, make Pretty Chic my favorite store in Georgetown.

Zach Lyons: More like very chic!! The owner is so sweet and has great taste that's unbounded by trends or price points.

Aria Johnson: Came here with my sister 2 weeks ago and it was our first time thrifting. Absolutely fell in love with this shop. Very nice pieces for great prices!!

Prime Thrift Georgia Avenue: what do users think?

Kim Reyes: Great finds the other day when they had 3 tag colors 50% off! I snagged five jackets, a skirt and one long 100% wool coat barely worn all for $30. There are treasures hidden within the racks!
Response: Thank you for your review!

Karina Baumblit: The people who work at the store are wonderful. Always willing to help and very accommodating. They have a nice verity for a small store and it is vell maintained.
Response: Thank you for your review!

Vanessa L Jackson: Great day for students with 25 percent off on Tuesday and Thursday. Return policy is reasonable 7 days with receipt, and prime thrift members earn points use phone number to join Points adds to dollars off of next purchases. Good selection of coats and MENS wear. Large variety of plus size and plus size petite. My secret to stylish name brand dressing. Had a good shopping experience. Staff friendly prices clearly marked social distancing and mask required.
Response: Thank you for your review!

Donovan Phelps: This store has a lot of good quality items available and at really good prices
Response: Thank you for your review!

Lashonda Steward: There is always something going on in this store but I had to post this complaint. I stood line for at least five minutes. I watched three people walk past the line and went straight to the cashier posted. She looked at me and served the three ladies instead of sending them to the back of the line. The store was packed. I reported the incident to the manager and his response was "so what". I told him it wasn't fair for all of us who waited and followed the rules. His response was " I can't do nothing." He didn't even bother to tell customers that they should wait to be called. I'm know for sure I can donate and purchases stuff from other store. People shouldn't cry foul when they are committing the foul!!!

Blaque Love: Recently visited this lost gem that was super organized and well managed, but unfortunately I became frustrated by the style chosen to hang the clothes. Instead of the clothes organized by size as it used to be, they now just lazily hang them all together. I ended up leaving out pure frustration without purchasing anything. Super disappointed.
Response: Thank you for your review

Summer Brouwer: Found a lot of great items here! The employees are very friendly, both in English and español :)
Response: Thank you for your review!

Danyelle Lamb: This was my first time went there. The store was clean, organized & very affordable.. The associates are nice & definitely coming back😁
Response: Thank you for your review!

Ben Riddlebarger: Too crowded and dirty. Everything smells like burnt sausage.
Response: We are sorry to hear about your experience. Thank you for your feedback

Chef Minh: Used to be a good store. But not any more, it’s a mess. Not things organized, sometimes you found 2 different prices marked on the same Item.
Response: Thank you for your feedback. We have sent this to our team! Thanks.

Habitat For Humanity Restore: what do users think?

Tseng Akera: Decided to stop in on a whim today since I was only a mile or so away for an appointment. Location certainly isn't ideal as it is off the beaten path and tucked in among a storage unit and warehouses with huge 18 wheelers parked on the side of the road. Upon entering the store it's a very open plan with furniture sectioned off among the from half of the store. They certainly had tons of flooring, W/D and cabinets. The back half of the store... well if you have any kind of OCD when it comes to organization or tidiness.. you're gonna have a hard time. Even I was getting twitchy at the sheer chaotic mess that was the tools/lighting/ housewares section of the store. The prices seem to be kind of all over the place. You can find great deals like they had Pfister faucets for $30 when they retail from anywhere from $67 to $399 depending on the set. Though others were certainly on a high side of what I would pay for the item. Staff was incredibly hard to identify as other then a small black name tag on some of them they looked like any other customer in the store. The cashier was friendly, though seemed a little distracted. all in all not a bad habitat but certainly not one of the better ones in Northern VA. Certainly one to go to for construction material.

Regina Mock: I love thrifting at stores like this for odd pieces of glassware or furniture. The store layout is not the best for shopping. Quite disorganized in the back with just general groupings of different types of glasses. It’s a bit like a scavenger hunt, to sift through everything. There are lots of construction materials like tiles, faucets, sinks, piping, power tools, and large cabinets and statement pieces. During the pandemic there was a large amount of good priced office furniture from local businesses closing. The location is kinda far from everything else in the middle of all these industrial buildings.

Tee Cee: Came here back in summer of 2021, and was so pleasantly surprise by the prices and variety of the furniture, tile, and faucets. Came back today to buy again--walked out empty-handed. They are now WAY overpriced. $300 faucets, used water lines for $5 that you can buy new at Home Depot for $6--and the list goes on. Also, I saw something troubling in the store. There was a sign for the volunteers that noted they are not allowed to lounge, that if they need something to do to ask the manager, and that they are only allowed a 15 min break if working at least a 4 hour shift. Wow! The last time we came they were rife with volunteers but this time there were barely any--and I see why! Not coming back.

Andrianne Konstas: Since the Evolution home store opened up next to them their prices have gone up and they're trying to act as if they are consignment store which Restore really isn't. There is so much product laying around and the furniture pieces need a lot of rehab for what they are charging. I'd check out the Restore in Maryland for better deals.

Trinity S.: 2020 review: VERY VERY over priced. See photo for example. I've never seen a store price things so high! Heavily used carpets for $65+.. Ikea furniture for the same price as new or HIGHER.... It goes on. Maybe management will see some of these reviews and correct things but I doubt it. Only have two stars because they DO have a good variety .. but hard to buy anything unless they're running a sale. Edit 2022. Variety has fallen. Prices have risen. Most items you can go get new for less. I guess the store will never change.

Sara Clark: Nobody in DC knows were to go but through alot of research and weeks without furniture I found this place. I highly reccommend you stop by. It is worth the drive.

Indhira Holmes: Great place to buy used furniture and also find cool stuff you didn’t think you needed. Also good prices

Loopy H: Great place to find excellent building materials for your one off project. You can find great doors to replace broken ones in your older home that are no longer manufactured. Very large space and decent prices. Also a good place to find kitchen cabinets to organize your garage, kitchen, or bar.

Justin Alexander: Great place to find a few things for I've new residence and office or how about a play or musical I use this lovely resource for stage props.

Test Test: The big white guy manager is shady and unethical. Ups the price on an unmarked item even though another worker had given me a lower price.

west elm: what do users think?

Stacy Lemery: Having a West Elm accessible to bus and metro lines is great for residents of the DC area. There is always lots more online, but being able to see the quality of bedding, furniture, etc in person makes a big difference. I have purchased a bed, bedding, hallway shelving, a shoe rack, curtains, candle holders, and other decor from West Elm.

Ms.: I love the items in the store. Very stylish and very unique. 2 full floors of sofas, pillows, dishes, pot holders, baskets, wall decor and more. Easy to stay in store and "look"..sure to find an item for your home or gift for another. Can't really talk about customer service except to say no one acknowledged or ask me did I need help to find an item. I was on my own..succeed

Eric Overton: Staff at this store were basically useless and didn’t seem to know much about the products for sale. Fortunately, I was only there to test a floor model before buying online. Shipping was fast with only two weeks between purchase and delivery. Delivery dudes were both prompt and chill.

Geneva: I was wary of buying from this store based on some of the reviews here; however, after a year of searching for the right sectional, I found the perfect one for me at West Elm. I received good service from the store. The sales person was very clear that my sectional - which I bought in November for a nice discount - would not arrive until early January. As promised, I got calls and emails from the delivery department the second week of January and was able to schedule a date that worked for me. The two delivery guys were amazing - they had to maneuver their big truck down a narrow alley to get to the loading dock. They were professional and efficient and out of my apartment in less than 15 minutes. The sectional is exactly what I wanted and so comfortable.

MIchael Wright: Prices are unnecessarily high, since the doors are left open during warm weather, thus requiring more energy for A/C,, which also incrementally contributes to climate-changing emissions. So, not the shop for customers who either don't like higher prices or want to help the environment.

Angela Garcia: STAY AWAY FROM WEST ELM. It's customer service is the worst, they won't ever deliver your items on time, they won't care and won't do anything about their mistakes with your order....it is just not worth it. I have received the wrong item TWICE (which honestly I don't understand how they can mess up the size of a piece which is clearly stated in their website other than it should have never been offered there in the first place because it doesn't exist). Now I'm stuck with an item which is not the one I ordered, and west elm won't care to pick it up and complete the return. THIS BRAND IS A JOKE.

Joe C.: Thus far, we've had nothing but a good experience working with west elm. The store associate we worked with was knowledgeable, professional, and personable, and really helped us choose the best option for our apartment. Our furniture won't arrive for a while, but we'll eagerly await it! The store itself was clean and well-organized.

Jonathan Mullen: Some nice stuff. Seems overpriced for what it is. Similar to Crate and Barrel.Joybird is just down the street and offers higher quality furniture at a better price.

Annapurna Mitra: The worst delivery experience I have encountered. I ordered a dining table and four chairs, with in-home delivery. The chairs were sent via UPS, not assembled, and with no explanation despite paying $250 for in-home delivery. I live alone, and there are 7 pages of assembly instructions requiring two people. I have no way of doing this, and am left with a living room like a furniture warehouse. On the other hand, the dining table, which was ready 10 days ago, and I had asked the customer service to wait and schedule an appointment for all items together is yet to arrive. I cannot find a way to schedule anything on the website, and on the phone I can not find a way to talk to a human being. I have received no response to my email. If I could give zero stars I would.

Sarah Gunel: Customer service was super here! All of the sales associates were helpful, but not pushy. They were also pleasant (happy). After we returned home from our shopping, I realize that I left my daughter's hat there. I called and the woman who answered the phone said she would mail it to me. I was incredibly impressed with their customer service. I would definitely return to this store!

CB2: what do users think?

Jamie X: I am a huge fan of the CB2 brand. I visited the store to see some of the contents in my online cart in person. I loved every piece just as much as I did online. The showroom itself is okay. Georgetown is always busy. One plus is the complimentary validation of parking if you visit the store for 1 hour. They did have floor models of a lot of the more featured pieces. I felt the rug selection was a little lacking. And the selection of lighting was also lacking. Overall if you know what your looking for you trip will be worth it. The sales staff was friendly and helpful with out being pushy...another plus.

Samantha Angel: This store permanently closed on Feb 20, 2022. They will open a new store in the Tysons Corner area in Virginia, not sure when. So even shopping online is tricky, because they still have stuff packed up at this store and no news on when or where the new store will be set up. Otherwise love their products! Especially the Drift Reactive Indigo Dinner Plates! But when you try to order online it shows in stock, you pay and then receive emails it's not in stock and they cancel your order. Then the website still shows it in stock, what's going on Crate and Barrel 2? CB2... come on now, we love your stuff now make it easier for us to buy them.

Aref Darzi: One of the worst experiences I ever had in ordering furniture. I placed an order for a coffee table, a floor lamp, and a a set of dinnerware and flatware. The coffee table delivered damaged one week later than their estimated time and I needed to wait for 11 more days to get it replaced. The floor lamp is right now 1.5 months delayed without any updates from CB2. The dinnerware set was delivered with some broken pieces, I asked for replacing, after 2 weeks they sent it to a wrong number. It is a mess. I don't recommend placing any order from CB2 unless you can see the actual item in the store and pick it up right away. It has been a disastrous experience.
Response: Hi Aref! We really appreciate the feedback and do sincerely apologize about the negative experience you have encountered with the damaged items and the delays. Please understand that we’re doing our best to meet the needs of our customers while supporting the safety of our associates during this time. Like many other businesses, COVID-19 has impacted our daily operations including social distancing guidelines and constraints with shipping and delivery networks. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Feel free to send us a DM for additional information. -Porcha

Nikki Banner: Beautiful store with LOTs of sales associates. But not one does design and can’t give input. You have to book an appointment online. They also are promoting 15% off on their site but they weren’t knowledgeable in store. Could definitely be improved. For those buying put your email in online and get the promo code. Promo code can be used in store

Sha Mar: I love this store. Staffs are friendly, polite and professional! Furnitures are modern, stylish and elegant! Atmosphere is fantastic!!!!! You can spend hours and hours looking around and nobody would even bother you! This is my kind of furniture store! They recently added natural plants into their designs looks like heaven on earth to me! You should definitely check out their new designs, details, their new fresh plans with pots and etc ... super stylish and very up to-date with modern style of living plus the touch of nature which is perfect.

Muge Sherdil: This place is awesome! We have been furnishing our entire home from here. The place is inviting and very cute, but above all, customer service is above and beyond. They are always friendly, helpful and very accommodating. At a particularly busy time a few days ago we paid another visit to the store and we were catered to with such care it is unbelievable. Ray and Britanny went out of their way to make it convenient for us and always kept their friendly demeanor. Thank you so much!

Idan F: One of the most amazing store in DC area!!We have so many great products of CB2.Find them also in downtown SFO, and couldn't wait :))

TANER Karagoz: I bought kitchen cabinet handles from cb2, very nice and high quality

Lilian Hu Nguyen: Lovely store with plentiful associates right on main and main of Gtown. The associates here are super pleasant and helpful as well. Possibly due to demand in the area as the only store, but the inventory is consistently pretty low or non existent.

Sara Tenney: I had a bad experience with the store manager. I returned pillow cases and she told me they were used which they weren’t. Apparently my cats had climbed into the bag which cats are known to do and the pillow cases had cat hair on them. It was of course what she should have inquired but it was clear she didn’t believe me when I said they weren’t and I felt terrible that she believed I was lying. She could have handled the situation with a lot more grace. I won’t be back
Response: We sincerely apologize for your recent experience and for any inconvenience this may have caused you! We appreciate the time you have taken to write to us and share this feedback. We will pass this feedback to the appropriate team. Thanks! -Tricia

Crate & Barrel: what do users think?

Mary T.: Helpful customer service, and wonderful selection. A very enjoyable shopping experience. Would come back! Only negative was one employee, possibly a manager, Lisa. The associate checking us out asked her for help, she came over obviously annoyed with him then ignored us standing directly in front of her. This male associate was kind, friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to help us. It bothered me that she would treat him this way, especially in front of customers. Maybe she was having a day or was exhausted but it was off putting.

Noah Merlin: Here is why you should never buy a piece of furniture that is "In Stock" at Crate & Barrel again: - My wife and I were looking for two swivel chairs in stock, so we could get them relatively soon and not wait the insane lead times that all new furniture has right now. - We went to Crate & Barrel on 12/24/21: Our sales rep at Crate & Barrel told us our two Drew Swivel chairs were both in stock (~$1,900 total for the two). - We decided to purchase the two chairs on the basis they were in stock. We were told they would be delivered in two weeks (two weeks from 12/24 is 1/7/22). - On 1/5 we received an email that they were being delayed and would be delivered in mid January. We called the store because we thought it was odd that items that are in stock in the warehouse could be delivered. When calling in, we were told that the items actually were not in stock. They offered us a $150 gift card once the item was delivered to make up for it. I did not accept, but they weren't willing to do anything else. - Every two weeks our item was delayed longer, and we were sent an email saying the items would be delivered two weeks later. - This morning, on 2/22/22, we received an email, stating the delivery would be in early March. It has been delayed for two months now, when we had a two-week lead time. So I sent an email to customer support, stating that I would like a 50% refund. Instead of reaching out to me, they emailed me to let me know my order has been cancelled and I have been provided a refund. I have now waited since 12/24/21 (two months) since the order. I have no swivel chairs. I have no order. I now need to begin the search for chairs all over again. I called support at the store, they said they couldn't do anything and I needed to contact corporate. I contacted corporate, and Elaine tried to explain to me that it was my fault for not reading the receipt and that it didn't matter what the sales rep said to deceive my wife and myself into buying these chairs which never came. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THIS STORE. Crate & Barrel has now admitted to me several times that they have an inventory system bug that makes it so they do not know when an item is in stock or not. This could be true, or they might use it as an excuse for predatory business practices, intentionally misleading consumers into making purchases they may not otherwise. If it is true, they do not account for their errors and expect the consumer to pay for it instead. Goodbye Crate & Barrel forever.
Response: On behalf of all of us at Crate and Barrel, please accept our sincere apologies for the frustration and inconvenience you experienced with your recent purchase. It is helpful for us to know when our service has fallen short so we can strive to improve our customers’ experience and we appreciate the time you have taken to write to us and share this feedback. We regret that we were not able to provide you with the positive purchasing experience that we wish for all of our customers. If you could reach out privately at 202-364-6100 with the order number, it will help us address your concerns. We hope we will be able to better meet your expectations in the future. -Cassie

Nikolas G: This is a great location with incredibly friendly staff. The design team is always happy to help and the sales team are helpful and available without being pushy or too present. Good selection, very well organized, beautiful layout.

Leo Sheridan: Liz D. came to my rescue when a 3rd party courier service lost a Christmas present! I can't say enough about how professional she was throughout the entire dramatic ordeal. Liz honestly saved Christmas. I've been a customer of Crate for quite some time. I even worked for the company many moons ago. I was astounded by how swiftly Liz handled everything, and she did it during THE MOST busiest time of year!

Jennifer Lee: Very nice community type center for shopping Crate and Barrel is great some nice restaurants and parking if you want to pay for it. It is near American University so you see lots of students around and lots of pedestrians. It's right off Massachusetts avenue so it is bus accessible only as far as public transportation.

Vishal Sinha: This is another good location for Crate and Barrel. The only negative shopping here is the scant parking options. Once you are in the store, the experience is worth the parking issue. The store is laid out well making shopping a good experience. It's hard not to buy more than what we had in mind! The staff is friendly and always ready to help answer any questions. The selection at that store is quite good and we like the products sold here. Or kitchen is stocked with many of the essentials from Crate and Barrel!

Tommy Tang: Very nice and east pickup experience! The stuffs are so nice!

Mohammed Audi: Great quality, just downright horrendous service. We bought all of our furniture across 6 months and it's all really sturdy, high end and elegant. They've done a great job in modern design. If follow-up services mean anything to you, such as eventually replacing sofa cushions, you need to find another place. Any form of follow up requires months of chasing down, pleading and disappointment.

Ardavan Tookaloo: Very modern and beautiful. I like this place a lot. You will never walk out empty handed.

Aysenur Melek: We had an awful experience here. Arlington deserves better. Keep your business to better places. They make people feel as if the stuff in the store is more valuable than them.

Habitat for Humanity ReStore: what do users think?

Karina Baumblit: I used to love shopping at the store and have been coming for years to get what I needed. However lately I find that the prices are stupid expensive for the used everything they are selling. You can find some reasonably priced items but way to little and to far in between. Not sure what happened to the store.. They have used pictures priced at $175 dollars with half off. Not worth it. The appliances are not tested or guaranteed to work. You can bring them back within 7 days for store credit. I did that once, not again.

Rolland Tagyen: It is a great store to buy door , window, carpet, etc if you are low on budget. I am encouraging any to go there and take a look in case you need material for repair

Bresha Calloway (Diva Shenanigans): I use to love this location. Their prices have increased exceptionally for low quality items. They charge brand new prices for used items when you can just buy it brand new somewhere else. Not a fan. They get donated items and increase the price where it’s extremely expensive. Certainly not serving the community they claim. Employees are also rude.

makesha williams: The customer service we were given was lack luster and very rude. I watched one employee ignore customers then those she spoke to including volunteers became sarcastic too the point customer and those donating left. I very surprised at the prices for secondhand items. Certain items when price checked were store and factory prices. I will not return even for donating purposes.

Judy O Myers: Always a great experience! I have found amazing things there including my current China cabinet and some chairs. It's a great place to shop. Unlike another poster, I have always found the staff to be quite pleasant and friendly.

Pamela Goins: This is a jewel in Moco County! Fridays are discount prices ! All types of gently used furniture, appliances, lamps, dishes, pictures, nic nacs ! Plenty of parking and very helpful staff ! I highly recommend this location ! Also close to shopping , Target, Kohls, Starbucks , happy shopping 🛍 !

Kim Reyes: You need to update your hours if you are not going to be open! I made a trip here and the website said open on the 31st and of course you were not!

Maria Selden: Very Nice people and Quality items.

Dottie Loving: Went to donate some things and was disappointed they would not take a car load of laminate flooring we had pulled up before putting in hard wood. Stopped in the resale shop and was surprised surprised how large it is...lots of furniture and building supplies. Came home with a couple household items.

Alex Ward: This place used to be my favorite place to donate furniture and buy used pieces that fit my needs. The last three times I have come to donate, one particular employee has virtually refused to accept any donation for a variety of reasons, as if the item needs to be new and still in its original packaging. For example, today, I brought a uhaul van full of items I was getting rid of in a move. Around 8 wonderful employees greeted us to help us unload the delivery. After a few minutes, the above-mentioned employee arrived and told everyone that most of the items needed to go back in the van. More than one of the original employees questioned her, asking for a good reason, which she did not provide. Rather than continue to deal with her, most of the original employees left to take care of other tasks. I was told by two of them that they could have sold these items the same day. To those of you who were so helpful today, I truly thank you. Five stars for you. To whoever manages this location, I'm sure you know who I'm talking about. If you don't, poll your employees. This woman is severely damaging the experience for those who wish to contribute. I do not plan to return.

Columbia Pike Thrift Shop: what do users think?

Jennifer Bellandi: I have found many cherished items here. The staff/volunteers are a joy to see. Many estate items mixed in with regular items. Prices very fair. Small shop, I’m a regular very happy with purchases over many years.

C B: Overall I think this is a great thrift store. Prices are very very reasonable and in good condition. I've bought many nice things there that I've been complimented on! : ) I have been consigning there for over a year and have not made as much money as I wanted, BUT that's only because the prices are so reasonable to the buyer!! : ) The great thing is I have offloaded and decluttered a lot because of the ability to consign and make some money too! If I rate the store more exactly, I would give it a "4.5" and not a 5 because I find that some of the help is moody at times. But most of the help is very nice which helps compensate for the moody workers. There's a little bit of Gossip going on between the women in the back and I don't like it. Gossip is unkind. So just be careful what you say and of course that applies in all situations everywhere. Overall: 4.5 rating. : )

Taylor Au: Cash only -- An amazing thrift store filled with hidden treasures. Went specifically to look for some new work clothes, and found several gently-used pieces from Loft, Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, Gap, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein and more... jackpot! Clothing ranges from $3 - $6, and you can get some items on super discount if it you come at the right time of the month. Also, got some amazing earrings for $2! It's a win for me, a win for sustainability, and a win for the church! Highly recommend and will be back again soon.

Mileva Hartman: This shop has been in business for 53 years. What a great find. It is a thrift shop that relies on donations, but also accepts consignments. Every day is a fun experience. I have gotten so many amazing things here, from Crystal vases and such to Chico and Talbot clothes for under $5. And the church benefits. A win-win.

Mai Nguyen: One of my top three favorite thrift stores. It's very small, but full of great gems. Staff consists of volunteers who are extremely friendly and helpful. Consignments are taken here, as well as donations. Both the buying and selling here is easy and efficient.

April Batiste: I always find unusual things like wooden flowers. It's fun finding unique pieces. The store is reasonably priced and it is a consignment for a church. That makes it really nice too!

danceswithcars w: I've done well there with a $5 bread maker, some cookbooks for $1 or less each, etc but the rules and tight narrow isles and spaces are a pain in the arse, imnsho ... Also hours end earlier 4p and closed Sunday, both which I've tried and failed to check nor get what I went there for... Thrift stores cost in intangibles like repeat visits and cleaning donated bread maker. Revised: cliquish and over critical on other shifts, generally don't go to places with bag policies and think they were talking about what I had in there so searched while required to leave up front?, also second non clean breadmaker doesn't seem safe with burned in stuff (fire/smoke hazard) and paddle doesn't come out even after long soaking), for more than $5, ~$15. Consignment so wonder if people should profit from stuff like this. Take over failed Vacuum space next door and do better, meet fire code accessibility, and/or reorganize? Plus any non staff photographs seem to disappear, so violation of gMaps policy, not a private website, Web2.0...
Response: Thank you for your review. We are hoping to get a bigger space! The end of the year is always very plentiful with donations so things get pretty packed. Some of our items are consigned, not donated. Our staff is all volunteer and we ask them to check for cleanliness, but sometimes we miss things. Sorry if you found a dirty item in the store. Hope you will come back because of the great prices and unique finds.

Evan O'Neal: Best thrift store in the area! The old ladies who work there are very sweet and the prices are always cheap and fair. It’s not the biggest space but it is loaded with amazing items for great prices.

Jennifer Lynn: It is a small thrift store, but I found some good items. There was only a little area to try on clothes in the back (a curtain across a little closet across from the workers' desk), and I felt rushed by the staff to get out for someone else to try on clothes.

Christopher Maxwell: Who closes at 4pm ? Nobody who works can get here in time! And ... owner of strip mall has these utterly unnecessary concrete tubes that bash in your car body and expensive blinker lenses (see image). Going to be difficult to find for my antique Mercedes wagon (rare).
Response: We are a shop run completely by volunteers who sacrifice their time to serve the community and the many ministries that are supported by the thrift shop. We are also open on Saturdays from 10 to 4.

Prime Thrift Virginia: what do users think?

Barbara McLean: I used to love this store but since it came Prime it’s changed. The racks are so jammed it’s hard to see the clothing. So many employees putting out merchandise the aisles are blocked. Checkout people are busy chatting with each other in Spanish it’s hard to get their attention. Prices have increased as well.
Response: Thank you for your review. When we changed the name to Prime Thrift, the staff and the core of the business did not change. We will pass this information on to the management. Thank you!

N: Not a great selection of items and only two fitting rooms with a line that takes forever because there’s no enforcement of the “5 item limit” policy. If you are hoping for housewares, don’t shop here. They write the prices on the glass and items (I included photos). The marker doesn’t appear to rub off.
Response: Hello, thank you for your feedback. The marker easily comes off with soap and water. Thank you!

Adrienne Rigby: Great location with it's own parking lot adjacent to Walmart Superstore. They now have dressing rooms which improve shopping options. Items are color coordinated and sizes are now sectioned. There are more designer options, furniture, shoes, men's clothing and misc. Prices are not bad, with a little searching there are bargains.

Cyn Brown: This store was dingy and felt a bit dirty as well. Prices were rather high, and selection (of housewares and furniture) was not very good. Not a place I would return to, for sure.
Response: Thank you for your review!

Petra Holden: Large thrift store, with plenty of parking, and a wide variety of clothing and household goods. I especially like their children's clothing - good selection and very reasonable prices. They have discounts for seniors and military.

Gloria Gray: I really like this thrift store itself, just not most of the staff. The selection of items and the prices are very affordable and comfortable. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the staff. Most of the people who work the floor are so rude, almost to the point of seeming hostile. I'm not sure if it's a cultural difference since most of the women seem to be immigrants, or what, but pushing past people without saying excuse me has happened quite often on multiple trips. There is only one woman who works there who has a sense of customer service and hospitality. She is very kind and friendly. I'm not even expecting a greeting, and I never ask for help, but an "excuse me" when you are pushing past me in an aisle would be nice, especially at times like these when people are still social distancing. It's very off putting. I'd hate to stop going because this is the best thrift shop I've found in the area.
Response: Thank you for your review!

AD: Decent stuff and options. Quiet a few antique items too.
Response: Thank you for your review!

Nicole Sharee: I got this beautiful, long, flowy mint-green blouse from Prime Thrift for less than $5! But to make it even better, I had rewards points from being a frequent shopper, and got it FOR $0.28!!!! Its already one of my favorite pieces! And did I mention how clean, and well lit the store is? And how great of a selection they have, from clothes, to household knick-knacks, to electronics!!! It's like searching for gold, and always finding it!!!
Response: Thank you for your review!!! Enjoy your blouse!

Keith L: Some interesting finds, most of the stuff is priced near retail and not usually in good shape. The worst thing is prices are marked in grease pen and almost impossible to get out on a lot of material, found some interesting pottery but was ruined with a price written in grease pen that will never come out of Terra Cotta, very foolish of management to do this.
Response: Thank you for your review. We use them to better our business.

Richard Hunter: Always lots of people and looks like lots of donations all the time. I have left lots and lots of stuff there myself. But the thing that gets me is the dumpsters in the back. They throw away lots and lots of stuff. I think their decisions on what is salable and what is not is not great. But the turnover of merchandise is what makes it a worthwhile stop on the thrift store circuit. It is not super organized and not super clean. Wear your mask.
Response: Thank you for your review.

Unique: what do users think?

Abi Maghamfar: A place to donate unwanted items and buy used items from furniture to toys to kitchenware, clothes, shoes, books, DVDs, etc at reasonable prices. If you buying toys, puzzles and games or anything that have multiple pieces, makes sure all pieces are there as this has been one of the disappointing aspects of buying stuff here. The other disappointment is the lack of organization and cleanliness of the facility. Love the idea of recycling and reusing rather than sending them to the wasteland and Unique provides that opportunity.

Alice L.: Unique Thrift is a for-profit enterprise owned by Savers, which is owned by a private equity firm in the Seattle area. It is NOT a charity shop and does not donate its profits to charity. Their website clearly states: "Shopping in our stores does not support any non-profit." The company says it purchases donated items from some local non-profits; however, it does not release details on these buying deals. The company is large and owns many thrift stores around the country. I mention this because there are true charity shops in the area--including Goodwill, Urban Thrift, Salvation Army, church shops, etc.--that are actually charities and donate their profits to charity. Some of the real charity shops are even run by volunteers working for no pay in order to help the cause. A lot of people seem to think Unique is a charity and the attorney general in Minnesota has in the past accused this company of misrepresenting how much it gives to charity. So if you have lovely and near-new items to donate, I highly suggest donating them to authentic charity shops. I frequently shop the charity shops, but I also shop at Unique. Unique Thrift is still a worthwhile place to shop and I have found many nice items for good prices. It is pretty well managed and prices are marked clearly. The merchandise is generally clean and not damaged, although you have to examine your items carefully. There are 7-day exchanges but only for clothing and shoes. Be very careful buying anything else that might have defects, such as luggage, electronics, furniture, etc. Some items do have hidden damage so you have to look carefully. There are discounts here on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays only so those days tend to be crowded.

JJ Edwards: Its a huge thrift store, as afar as I know and for so many thrift store I had visited this is my favorite one. They have huge selection of clothes, shoes, toys, books, furniture, kitchen ware and many more. Worth to check out!

Sara O'Brien: I have been going to this place for years and always felt welcome, but today was the worst experience of my life. We were in line for self checkout, when I saw that register 18 was open, as I proceeded with my daughter to the register the woman that was in charged of self checkout named Charika told us, "come here because I cannot see what you ring there." We walked to the register that she told us and as I scanned this woman stands there staring at us scan each item. I was already getting upset because she was staring at us scan as if we were the only customers there or as if we were thieves. After scanning 7 items this woman proceeds to approach my bag and count the items that I had placed inside the bag to make sure it matched the amount of items on the screen. I felt that we were being treated as thieves. I got so upset, I asked for the manager, but she said no one was available, so I took a picture of her ID card. This woman stood staring at our register until we finished ringing every item as if we were thieves. People go to the thrift store for many reasons, but in no moment should they be harassed by anyone. This store needs to train its employees to be courteous and not target people

li garcia: Good thrift store. Nice selections of everything. All staff and personnel are nice and friendly except for the old lady at the register. Very mean ! Unfriendly! And the voice specially when she’s on the speaker. She’s always mad and unhappy person. I’m sure I’m not the only one noticing it!

Par and: It was my worst horrible thrifting experience ever. This Women Charika was extremely rude, and treated people as if they are thieves, it was traumatizing to see her digging into ppl's card at checkout and checking every single items aggressively. This store will go out of business soon, because of this women "Chaika", who enjoys harassing customers. Not to mention the store was extremely dirty, and messy.

Cynethea: This is a big store. They have household items, furniture, bedding, books, toys and more. I always leave there loaded up with great finds. It has a huge clothing section. I always find some of the best sweaters and tops. It's a great place to shop especially if you have limited funds. Tuesday is discount day. Check out lines move quickly. Team members are very pleasant.

That Brunette: High volume thrift store. Very busy with customers every day of the week. The turnover of stuff is high so, if you see something you like grab it. I've seen collectors and resellers in this store. Lots of kids playing in the toy section while the parents shop.

Ariel S.B.: My favorite thrift store! Yeah, some of the prices are just a little bit higher than your average goodwill, but the quality of items is so much better. I’ve seen brand new items from designer stores, sometimes with the tags still on them. Stuff is actually trendy and cute and not dated. They have clothes in every size, the selection is huge! Definitely visit if you’re looking to revamp your wardrobe.

Pr Katz: Love this place! Having a party? Get all the great Pyrex and serveware you need - have awesome BoHo mismatched fine china place settings, accessorize with cheap stuff from the craft store and outlet stores, and you've got a magazine worthy party photo at a price you can afford. Best of all? After the party, I box it up and redonate it back to the Great Stuff Stream (thrift store) for the next person. No new manufacturing, no waste, no piles of seldom used party supplies cluttering up the house. Perfect 👌🏼 Update: the masks are getting OLD! Self check out. Not shopping or donating here again.

Value Village: what do users think?

Angela Monahan: Such a great thrift store! I always find the neatest things. Today I went and really wanted to leave a review because I received the best help from Romeo. I was having issues with my card while checking out and getting pretty flustered over it, and he was so so nice and helped me fix the problem. Value Village is always the best but Romeo was fantastic and made my day!

Sandra A: I really love this store. It is huge, it has anything you'd be looking for in a second hand store, but with them cleaning this location up, organizing and sorting things well, and adding extra shelves it did also go up in price. Noticeably. On some items the prices are much like a Marshall's or Ross. But they also added options of coupons and sale days. So there are still ways to snag some great deals. Definitely worth stopping by every so often.

MJ deCoen: First time here.. This place is crazy! It's huge, too much to look at which is a great thing. You can spend the whole day here. When you enter you have internal stores withing the store with various higher end items. Overall, the store was organized, clean, and staff were helpful when questions were asked... Will be back again

Cora Grayson: such a great thrift store, i always find what is exactly on my wishlist the only issue is you used to be able to look at stuff from both stores before checking out and can no longer do so.

Pascale Lemaire: Value Village is a great place for used or vintage clothing. Things are organized by categories and well marked to make searches for specific items much easier. They also offer senior discounts and other discounts on special days if you register!

Loretta Claye: Value Village is my go to for donations. The receivers work very hard with a polite demeanor. The department is organized and I get unique items that suit my need. I love the non fiction books which I then recycle at work or donate. Nery is a excellent cashier. I was questioning him about my coupons that I take serious. He remained customer ready and accommodating. Lastly, the manager is always hard at work as if he is the only one at the department working.

Kim c: Very organized. Good selection but a bit pricey. Good atmosphere but the music was way too loud.

Alison Yuhas: Any Value Village seems to be awesome, and I went to two, but this one was amazing! So many housewares, it wasn’t crowded, and there’s good parking. I got some depression glass for less than $20, and they wrapped everything in newspaper nicely, which I always appreciate. Such a fun stop!

Dotun Adetosoye: Best Barbers in the DMV.

Keith C.: There are two places here, both have similar quality items. The right side has cheaper books, in general. There is also two aisles of small cheap items like cell phone accessories, hats, etc.
