Erin Wagner: I’ve gotten so many high quality items from Miss Pixie’s over the last several years, but today I’m finally leaving the five star review they’ve always deserved! We had scheduled a delivery for them to bring a table we purchased, and Miss Pixie herself rolled up in a pickup truck this morning right on time. It turns out the delivery drivers were stuck in an elevator, but somehow that didn’t stop them at all! We gave her a hand and she didn’t charge us the usual delivery fee to make up for the trouble (what trouble?!). We look forward to continuing to shop at Miss Pixie’s as we furnish our home.

India Lindsay: Store has a variety of furniture, art, and random decorations. Everything is laid out artistically while still being easy to walk around. Majority of items are on the pricier side, though you can find a few steals. I snagged a painted medium-sized pot hand painted in Italy for $12.

Jace Warble: Miss Pixies is a lovely little shop with beautiful pieces, helpful and knowledgeable staff, and price that matches quality. Definitely worth stopping by!

They have a wide variety of things for every taste. So much character! I love to buy random things lol. So of course I bought a few things 🤣. One store that is true to “if you love, BUY IT! It may not be there tomorrow!” I WILL BE BACK

Rachael Brown: Everything is over priced just because they say "antique". But that wasn't even my issue. I was in the store for 10 minutes and passed the store employee and was never greeted. I watched her greet other guests who walked in after me and was super cordial to another guest. Cool. I need to furnish my entire apartment, but I'll take my money to someone who wants it.

Alexandra Goodman: Lovely antique store with some really nice pieces. Prices for some of the larger items were reasonable, but pricing was kind of all over the place. Obvious sets of items (chairs, side tables, glasses, etc.) were priced individually which was weird for an antique store. Other pieces were priced way too high, like $95 for an IKEA mirror or $250 for a simple basic wooden console table (which would have been $50 anywhere else but DC). Overall, I enjoyed this store and walking around inside, but I probably won’t buy here due to the pricing.

Kurt LaRose MSW LCSW LICSW: The antiques and the finds here are wonderful. The staff, volunteers, care so much about the items. Here I am reminded of my grandparents dishes, jewelry, paintings, dishes, silver, metalurgy, pocket watches, rugs .... and the iron statutes are just phenomenal. Today I found a 10k gold rosary engraved from 1924 ... with a historical attention to detail that is awesome. The people working in the store celebrate the items as you look.

Sandra Biedron: Wow. Great place for vintage jewelry and everything else one needs for a home or office. Not only is everything repurposed but all proceeds go to children in the area that need help meeting their emotional needs. Found four rare Portmeirion pottery pieces as well as two pieces of vintage high-end jewelry. These were very fairly priced with the market. Excellent collection of dishes, silver, and crystal. Go there instead of doing a wedding registry! So much more green! Rock on Opportunity Shop - you made my heart happy today seeing things re-purposed! The place was packed!

Eric Rajendra: The best antique and bric-a-brac store in all of DC. Our family in Georgetown has given thousands of dollars worth in contributions of our own antiques we no longer needed and then we bought thousands of dollars more in antiques we needed!! This place is a gem for us Washingtonians!! The volunteer staff members are truly precious and really dedicated!! They love their work and make the entire experience of browsing a joy. The second floor has great stuff so GO UP!! Jewelry, silverware, Asian antiques, porcelain, etc! You won’t be disappointed. You need to return weekly as new consignments and donations come all the time!! Trust me.

Sam Bartley: This place looks amazing. And everything is very nice. But this place is no thrift store. Almost everything here is consignment and the prices can be outrageous. If you're looking for a place to get fine decor and fine bone china (and you're willing to pay hundreds of dollars for it) this is the place. But if you're a student or a person that has anything called a budget restricting you, don't come here.

Randolph Lopez: Question the authenticity of the antiques and antiquities. Do not be misled. I was foolish enough to believe the descriptions that were displayed on the Asian pieces and the purity of some silver pieces that I purchased. I am not a seasoned collector. I only depend on the honesty of people; especially those associated with a “Christian” charity.

Tom Preston: Prices are too high, often higher than the antiques shops in the neighborhood. No bargains unfortunately. And reductions are not per standard consignment shops- only 20% every 60 days instead of every 30 days. Not sure how they stay in business TBH.

A. Greenough Dodd: Huge fan of this nonprofit consignment shop (aka The "Op Shop"!) that benefits the needs of DC area children. Always great finds, but definitely allow time to peruse the many items. Well-worth the search!

William Kraybill: Wonderful Experience! Doug, the owner, has more knowledge of Modern furniture in general and Danish Modern in particular than anyone else I have spoken with. He will give you the background and history of any piece you're interested in, so you know exactly what you will be getting when you are considering a purchase. More than just facts and details, he gives you a feel for the piece, so you can really understand how it will fit in your home. I love this guy :)

Mario Zampaglione: I've tried to go to this store on two separate occasions. Each time I was met with rude upper management that wasted my time and did little, if anything, to make up for their mistakes in having me wait outside the store after having called to ensure the store was open. Furthermore, their stubbornness in refusing to admit their mistakes and offer any kind of conciliation was truly infuriating. While their collection of furniture is certainly nice (reason for the two stars) they overcharge like crazy. I was able to find the same couch I found in their store for 45% less and in much better condition. Having finally furnished my apartment from other vendors, I've learned that this store has a reputation of consistently rip customers off. I'm all for supporting small businesses like this, but my consistent poor experience with Modern Mobler leave me to have to leave this review.

talltomtroyny: Great store and everyone was more than helpful. Prices are very high. I couldn't afford anything. I asked about a teak garbage can and was quoted $800-$1200. I also picked out a few Dansk candle holders which the guy didn't know the price. I gave him my email address, and still haven't gotten a price 3 days later.

I was amazed on the quality and the prices. Such good materials and customer service. I made this my store of choice. Btw thanks a lot for instructing me on what to get! Kathy Carnevale: We had such a great experience with Good Wood. We had to bring our table up to Northern Virginia and they were so careful to pack and protect our items. The quality of the table and chairs is amazing and the prices can't be beat!

Joyce Sampson: The stock and the ambiance deserve five stars. My first visit, I was mesmerized. It was wonderland. When I left the shop, in my excitement, I called back and purchased a piece that I had fallen in love with over the phone. Later I realized that it was just not right for the intended space in my home. So I called and asked if they could keep the piece (which was still in the store) and offer me an if in-store credit. The guy who sold to me apologized and said returns/refunds were not policy. I asked him if he might call the shop owner but he wouldn't budge. While I do understand the policy, I didnt care for his attitude when he said, "You bought it, now it's all yours." I've shopped many antique stores and MOST will try to accommodate you in some way. You won't get the extra pickle at GoodWood.

Yarden Golan: I rarely give reviews. But GoodWood is hands down the best vintage furniture store in the area. Above their great items, they have the most amazing costumer service iv’e encountered. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. Highly recommended!

Natalie: While the selection is solidly 4+ star, the customer service is anything but. I concur with the reviewer who said the staff barely acknowledged their existence. Once the staff had deigned to answer my question, the two ladies behind the counter gave me that once-over, up-and-down glance before sneering and going back to talking to each other. I’m just… speechless. On principle, I won’t give my money to adults who behave like high school “mean girls.” It’s a shame, since I used to visit this store 10 years ago when I first moved to DC and looked forward to one day having my own rowhouse to furnish. Now that I do, I won’t be shopping here.

Emma Ruehl: GoodWood is chock-full of special, high-quality vintage and vintage-modern pieces. The store is warm, bright, expertly curated, and the associates are super friendly. They also get a fresh batch of items weekly on Thursday, so you're sure to find a gem whenever you visit.

Caroline Barna: I LOVE this shop. Always such an amazing mix of beautiful furniture and clothing. And the prices are so affordable for how unique and special the items are. I hope you guys reopen soon! I’ll be there (in a mask)!

David Dreyer: One of the best stores of any kind in Washington. Staff takes a close interest in what customers want. If you don't see what you want, they will survey their sources and find items that work for you. That said, it's very hard to visit Good Wood without seeing a lot of furniture, tabletop, or other items that you'd want to ride home with you. Last, there is an appealing, integrated aesthetic to the place that makes it a pretty nice and welcoming place to visit. 5 stars earned.

Ricky Ocampo: Love the items that they carry here, but I’ve found the staff to be rather unfriendly. I’ve stopped by a few times over the last few weeks and not once has an employee said “hi” to me or acknowledged my existence.

Well priced, well made stylish furniture with a good, but not overwhelming selection. Very helpful staff. Lots of options on upholstery and other details. I've bought quite a number of pieces at the Room & Board in Chelsea, NYC.

Brandon Gaimari: Customer service is actually good but products are over priced junk. Bought a bedroom set and the design of the bed causes it to squeak every time you roll over. Customer service had Dr. Furniture come out twice - one time screws were missing in the bed, the next time installed slat pads (why were these not installed originally?). For the price you pay, the quality is not what it should be. Beware.

Anna Harrington: First, we had a guy helping us who like was non responsive at the Logan circle room and board. Then I ordered online for July 7 and the furniture store confirmed via email and when I called they told me July 7 was unavailable. Not good service for the price and wouldn’t buy here again.

Summer Logan: I was working with Lisa (who apparently is the store manager). Her behavior does not seem like she should be. My problem was passed off to Peter and I felt underappreciated as a client. Would not recommended the people that work here. Service is below expectations for the money you spend and management should do a better job. Seems like they do not care or engage with clients. Highly disappointed and unsatisfied.

Kathryn Adamcik: I ordered a couch from here in August and it was to be delivered at the start of December. It was delayed until the end of December and I waited for it to arrive. 1 day before it was supposed to arrive in the warehouse I got an email saying it would be delayed for 2 more months. I waited for 2 months and days before it was supposed to arrive in the warehouse after the 2 month delay I got an email saying it was delayed again. I have called customer service and they have been of no help. They have no idea when the couch will arrive or what the progress is on it. They will not give a discount for this long delay. I am stuck in a pattern where I expect the couch to arrive any day, and then it gets pushed back. This is not okay. I paid over 3k for my couch and am just getting brushed off by customer service, the managers that I have spoken with, and the associates who we spoke to in the store we shopped at. I was planning on purchasing a side table, coffee table, and lamp after the couch arrived, but I will no longer be using room and board in the future. I ask you all to be wary of purchasing from here. I paid for the couch in full and now it looks as if it will never arrive. I expect more from this company, and am highly dissapointed.

Catie Kemp: Love love love. They were a bit too pricey for me to consider when I was living in my apartment, but since buying my place last November I have become a very loyal customer. I started working with Daren to get an idea of what I wanted in my living room- just having the sounding board was so helpful. I have since outfitted my entire living room with them- probably went to the store at least ten times before making my order and never felt harassed or pushed into buying immediately. My mom bought her first house in over a decade this summer and I’ve encouraged her to buy with them too (which she has and has had an equally good experience). The biggest thing for me when I’m spending money on furniture is knowing that a) it will last and b) having confidence in my purchase. I most recently ordered a set of four dining chairs which arrived on Friday and the color just isn’t quite right in my space. I went into the store yesterday and discussed the issue with an associate (didn’t catch her name)- they are very up front about wanting to make things right if you’re not happy. She gave me a sample swatch to take home and test in my space and this morning I called customer care who was happy to facilitate an exchange for me. They are back ordered until February so they even offered me the option of keeping the current chairs (so long, of course, as they are kept in excellent condition). Even speaking to their central customer service center is a personalized experience- I don’t have the same concern with other businesses that my order or request is going to get lost in the shuffle. You can get just about anything in any color/fabric/wood stain/finish that they have and the quality is outstanding- I really wish they were in the kitchen cabinet business because their wood quality, in my opinion, is unmatched by any other business I’ve explored at their scale. Everything is made in the US (Minnesota I believe). Of course with the pandemic things (especially custom items) can take a couple or a few months to come in, but this is far from specific to R&B and well worth the wait. I’ve had three or four delivery experiences with them and each time the employees were punctual, communicative, and, most importantly, careful with my home and furniture! In summary I can’t recommend them enough. They have found a customer for life in me and I am happy to scream my unsolicited appreciation from the rooftops any time! Edited to add- forgot to mention they are dog friendly (with treats!). If this isn’t the sign of a good business I don’t know what is.

Renee Davis: Don’t get me wrong, I love this furniture store. The customer service is great. Delivery service (workers) is great. It’s the actual product, the furniture quality that deserves 1 star (none if I could) our last purchase was the Reese sectional sofa. The buttons pick you when you sit on it and the cushions are cheap. No Cush whatsoever! It’s like sitting on the floor. The entertainment center has no wire outlets in the back for cord management and it scratches easily. And even though the only rerun policy listed is for mattresses I was told (Ginny) that if it was a couple weeks past they would be able to take it back? Do not be fooled by the pretty picture. It’s not worth the price!

Mike Gardner: I just made a phonecall to this store a few minutes ago to simply inquire about english antiques. The gentleman on the phone was rude, unhelpful and absolutely condescending. It turns out he was not a full-time employee, just someone the store owner needed to watch the shop unexpectedly while she was out. I was, however quite impressed with the way Daphna quickly contacted me to share her concern about my experience and to reiterate how important personal, insightful and positive experiences are to a boutique shop. When a business owner handles a situation like this, it speaks volumes about how they run the business as a whole. Heather James: I visited this store today. The pieces of furniture and items were unique and interesting. I found that most of the items were way overpriced. I saw a few dressers that I liked that were refurbished ,painted or remodeled. However they didn't look worth the $300 or more price tag. Every thing here seemed and looked over priced. If you are looking for a good deal this is not the place to come. I am no expert on antiques so maybe many of these items are antiques. You might be better off going to Ikea or Value Furniture if you are price conscious.

It is obvious that he knows a lot about antiquing and remembers the location of everything in the shop! Things are reasonably priced though and he is very fair. The owner is a gem - he is the absolute nicest person and his customer service makes it feel like you’ve stepped back in time because he is an expert about his stock and will take the time to help you find the perfect item. Another thing I appreciate about this store is that the prices - including for delivery - are very reasonable, especially for DC. Mon Oubliette: So, this is my favorite antique spot in the entire Washington, Maryland, Northern Virginia area. Why? The owner and the selection. Somehow, like freakin’ magic, this guy charms me into buying more furniture than my wife and I intended to buy (if we even intended to buy anything at all!). He’s a national treasure and we look forward to seeing him every time. And, while the selection is completely random, they always seem to have at least one thing I can’t live without. Prices are good too. Check this place out. Note: This is an especially excellent antique shop for someone that knows how to do a little sanding, touch-up/wood stain work. Many really handsome pieces show their age and, if you can see through the nicks and tiny blemishes, there are some fantastic finds here.

Isabel Fleming: Fabulous place, wonderful owner. Helpful with questions about items and also willing to "bargain" a bit. This is one of those stores where you'll never know what you might find. I tend to shop here with an open mind instead of searching for a specific item, which has really made it fun, but the owner is also a wealth of info about those certain things you're seeking! Convenient walk to Metro, and I've even hauled furniture from the store to the train and then home.

Lashonda Steward: There is always something going on in this store but I had to post this complaint. I stood line for at least five minutes. I watched three people walk past the line and went straight to the cashier posted. She looked at me and served the three ladies instead of sending them to the back of the line. The store was packed. I reported the incident to the manager and his response was "so what". I told him it wasn't fair for all of us who waited and followed the rules. His response was " I can't do nothing." He didn't even bother to tell customers that they should wait to be called. I'm know for sure I can donate and purchases stuff from other store. People shouldn't cry foul when they are committing the foul!!!

Blaque Love: Recently visited this lost gem that was super organized and well managed, but unfortunately I became frustrated by the style chosen to hang the clothes. Instead of the clothes organized by size as it used to be, they now just lazily hang them all together. I ended up leaving out pure frustration without purchasing anything. Super disappointed.

Tiffany Roberts: This is THE place to go to hunt for DIY furniture in Northern VA. Once you’re there, you can roam the warehouse of unending furniture and paints. Everyone was SO nice and gave me great suggestions for my next DIY project. I purchased two chairs for my new house and will definitely be back for paints!

Elizabeth Taber: When I priced out buying new kitchen furniture, replacing my six chairs alone would have cost more than I wanted to spend. Plus I didn't want to give up my table, which is in good condition, or the chairs, which are some of the few I can sit in comfortably. Joni and The Back Dorr to the rescue! They did a lovely and professional paint job, working hard to customize a color that kept the seats true to the color of my table. And that was after patiently removing the old, damaged finish (see before and after pics). Every encounter with the folks at The Back Dorr was pleasant, and I highly recommend working with them to save the furniture you love.

Ryan Boyer: The Back Dorr and The Front Porch is the place to go if you are looking for restored furniture, furniture repair, or custom painting. The owners are knowledgeable, helpful, and incredibly patient in dealing with their customers. We got a customized cabinet turned into a media table which was exactly what we were looking for when we couldn't find anything brand new. Their work is the highest of quality, their prices are fair, and their selection is great.

ann feltman: Absolutely the BEST place ever!!! Amazing selection of furniture to refinish or have customized. They even offer classes to paint and create your own. Joni is truly the BEST teacher. Truly a treasure, especially for Northern Virginia! Totally in love!

peter buttecali: I fully enjoyed my experience in working with Theodore's, they have great selection, fantastic designs and excellent service from initial visit through delivery. I am a professional designer and painfully picky -- they had the perfect set of Italian-post-modern style dining chairs that the absolute best design and most comfortable I found in the entire DC area (and I searched every upscale store we have here). I can sit in them for hours! The pricing was comparable, if not competitive, to other high-quality furniture resources both in-town and online. Marian was particularly helpful, professional and responsive start to finish. I will be shopping there first for items where design and quality matter most.

Susana Ferrando: Theodore has a collection of furniture with different styles which is great since you find in one place items from different designers. Most of the furniture is made in Italy. The quality and craftsmanship is superb, the design is beautiful and the customer service is excellent. We purchased several times and Sandy helped us with the selection of fabrics, colors as well as with the design in the living room. She is a very competent designer with a great eye for space, dimensions and colors. I strongly recommend Theodore and specially Sandy.

I don't expect the salespeople to be experts on all the furniture they sell because they are not the manufacturers of the furniture.

Andre Mann: The store staff isn't knowledgeable about items they sell. I purchased a solid wood dresser. The store management didn't know what wood species were used. A person by name Kim sent me a link to the manufacturing website where I read that maple, cherry, or walnut is used to produce this kind of dressers. The store wouldn't let me take the dresser home because the store policy that heavy items must be delivered by a third party. I bought it June 12th, 2021 and after going back and forth about delivery date the email came in saying that the delivery will be made June 30th. I offered an option of me hiring professionals to delivery the piece, the store declined my offer. I will never buy anything from them.

We rely on authoritative sources in providing information. Your account of details are grossly inaccurate, and more important you neglected to note delays were caused by you and non acceptance of offered delivery dates. We made every attempt to provide excellent service by waiving store policy and accommodating your requests ranging from discounts to logistics demands.

Julia Just: I have bought multiple items here such as my living room couch, and have been happy till today. The person with me has a medical condition and needed to use the restroom ASAP. The lady working in the store refused the use of the bathroom. We are offended and will not shop here any longer.

Jim Michaels: While the design offerings are attractive, I cannot do business with a store that has no interest in their clients. I have experienced being ignored in many of their store locations but the Washington DC store takes the prize. Not one person greeted me or offered help in the 25 minutes that I wandered the store looking for what I had received an email for that very morning. When I did finally ask someone and show a photo of the item, I received a perfunctory, “sorry” that it was not in stock. I was sorry to interrupt him from typing on his laptop and sorrier yet that I had imagined actually receiving some assistance from a salesperson. How silly of me!

Max Crocetta: After purchasing a second-hand Herman Miller Sayl task chair, I wanted to add the Lumbar Support Kit that it was missing. Upon calling DWR, I was greeted by Nikoo. She was friendly and prompt in answering any/ all questions I had, then quickly sent over the invoice so that I could move forward with my order. I realize that due to COVID and other variables in today's world, many industries are experiencing supply chain difficulties and that there will be a wait for this item, however I appreciate Nikoo explaining the circumstances and setting clear expectations! Looking forward to receiving this piece and completing my chair! :)

ro Hu: Very poor customer service for such an expensive furniture store, I had ordered a part for pedant lamp last June, since then just heard excuses from the store manager and staff member, DWR needs to improve on customer service experience. Dondré: I really hope you have a better experience than I did, but you should avoid purchasing from this studio. I would recommend going here to only see the furniture in person and testing it out to see if it's comfortable or maybe clarify a color. THEN ORDER THROUGH THE MANUFACTURER NOT THE STUDIO. I ordered a herman miller sayl chair from here on December 3rd. There was some confusion with the color I wanted. The picture looked grey on the imagine I was shown and I made it clear that I wanted a white chair. I was told that the chair was actually white and that the lighting in the picture made it look grey. I trusted the person who worked there they would know better than me. Turns out the chair was grey when I got it. No big deal, honest mistake. My biggest issue is that it is now February 2nd and I'm still dealing with this problem. I still don't have the chair I actually wanted. On email exchanges and phone calls they tell me what I want to hear but no action has been taken, only suggestions about what they can do, which has only been offering me a partial refund. I made it clear I'd rather do what it takes to get the color I want. It seems like they have been stalling on purpose so that the return policy runs out. I have reached out to Herman Miller in hopes to get this situation handled. This is ridiculous.

Lucy: Sent me wrong item. They were quick to get their item back but still have not managed after three days to even start shipping the correct item for what was supposed to be next day delivery.

Jessica Nazarova: We have been in this store a couple of times ordering furniture and taking our time deciding between things. Jonathan has been extremely patient and kind with us. My husband and I have vowed to stop shopping online after this in-store experience! :) Even our 5 year old, who typically would hate being in a furniture store, enjoys being at Design Within Reach because he gets to play with the spinning kids chair and globe lights. We also spoke with four or five other designers in their store and everybody was extremely helpful and kind when we had questions about something. The atmosphere here is great!!!

I. David Shocket: Worst customer service ever in the Georgetown store. Longtime customer of DWR and have never had a bad experience previously. We ordered 6 Bacco chairs during the March sale which were in stock. We received 4 chairs in a timely fashion; two chairs lost en route. Replacement chair was wrong color. Multiple emails to the store manager with no response. Visits to the store on several occasions with reassurances that we would have a response in 48 hours - no response. The corporate office resolved our issues in 48 hours, and we finally received our sixth chair in August (5 months later). Order online and avoid the aggravation.

Josef Assouline: Walked in, looked at the prices, walked out immediately. Design within reach? In reach of what? Bankruptcy?
Response: Hi Josef, thank you for the comment. This is actually a common misconception about the company name, so we’re happy to address it. Design Within Reach started out (more than 20 years ago) with the mission to make authentic modern design accessible. Back then, customers simply weren’t able to buy the classics (Eames, Saarinen, Le Corbusier, etc.) at retail, meaning those pieces were “out of reach” for anyone who wasn't a professional interior designer, working with middlemen or visiting Europe to do their furniture shopping. DWR began forming relationships with renowned design manufacturers around the world to stock classics and newly designed pieces, all with the idea to make design “within reach.” Over the years we’ve continued to expand our assortment with new products at a variety of prices. Hope that background is helpful.

Sam Schrantz: Was very happy with my experience, much more than I was expecting. I was referred to them by the Herman Miller store so I could try out the Aeron and Embody office chairs before purchasing one. The salesperson actually tried to create a personal connection and didn't try to talk me into anything I wasn't already looking for. He was well informed and told me about the company's history, his personal work experience, and how they continue to help their customers even after their purchase. I came in expecting to be satisfied with the Aeron chair, but found the Embody far more comfortable and easier to move around in. The salesperson was able to explain the difference between the normal embody chair and a limited edition version that is actually cheaper with all the upgrades. Overall, it was a very positive experience and though I wasn't planning on purchasing from them, I probably will now.

hansel tan: The Herman Miller sale sign invited my wife and I to check out Eames lounge chair inside the clean and well designed store of Design Within Reach. Both of us came inside the store with a cup of coffee in hand, we politely asked if it’s ok to bring beverage indoor and the staff answered politely that it was ok. The staffs were very polite and helpful to both my wife and I, definitely a great selling point for furnitures shop. We checkout out the multiple different lounge chairs they have on display with great caution and loved all of them.

Stacy Lemery: Having a West Elm accessible to bus and metro lines is great for residents of the DC area. There is always lots more online, but being able to see the quality of bedding, furniture, etc in person makes a big difference. I have purchased a bed, bedding, hallway shelving, a shoe rack, curtains, candle holders, and other decor from West Elm.

Ms.: I love the items in the store. Very stylish and very unique. 2 full floors of sofas, pillows, dishes, pot holders, baskets, wall decor and more. Easy to stay in store and "look"..sure to find an item for your home or gift for another. Can't really talk about customer service except to say no one acknowledged or ask me did I need help to find an item. I was on my own..succeed

Eric Overton: Staff at this store were basically useless and didn’t seem to know much about the products for sale. Fortunately, I was only there to test a floor model before buying online. Shipping was fast with only two weeks between purchase and delivery. Delivery dudes were both prompt and chill.

Geneva: I was wary of buying from this store based on some of the reviews here; however, after a year of searching for the right sectional, I found the perfect one for me at West Elm. I received good service from the store. The sales person was very clear that my sectional - which I bought in November for a nice discount - would not arrive until early January. As promised, I got calls and emails from the delivery department the second week of January and was able to schedule a date that worked for me. The two delivery guys were amazing - they had to maneuver their big truck down a narrow alley to get to the loading dock. They were professional and efficient and out of my apartment in less than 15 minutes. The sectional is exactly what I wanted and so comfortable.

MIchael Wright: Prices are unnecessarily high, since the doors are left open during warm weather, thus requiring more energy for A/C,, which also incrementally contributes to climate-changing emissions. So, not the shop for customers who either don't like higher prices or want to help the environment.

Angela Garcia: STAY AWAY FROM WEST ELM. It's customer service is the worst, they won't ever deliver your items on time, they won't care and won't do anything about their mistakes with your order....it is just not worth it. I have received the wrong item TWICE (which honestly I don't understand how they can mess up the size of a piece which is clearly stated in their website other than it should have never been offered there in the first place because it doesn't exist). Now I'm stuck with an item which is not the one I ordered, and west elm won't care to pick it up and complete the return. THIS BRAND IS A JOKE.

Joe C.: Thus far, we've had nothing but a good experience working with west elm. The store associate we worked with was knowledgeable, professional, and personable, and really helped us choose the best option for our apartment. Our furniture won't arrive for a while, but we'll eagerly await it! The store itself was clean and well-organized.

Jonathan Mullen: Some nice stuff. Seems overpriced for what it is. Similar to Crate and Barrel.Joybird is just down the street and offers higher quality furniture at a better price.

Annapurna Mitra: The worst delivery experience I have encountered. I ordered a dining table and four chairs, with in-home delivery. The chairs were sent via UPS, not assembled, and with no explanation despite paying $250 for in-home delivery. I live alone, and there are 7 pages of assembly instructions requiring two people. I have no way of doing this, and am left with a living room like a furniture warehouse. On the other hand, the dining table, which was ready 10 days ago, and I had asked the customer service to wait and schedule an appointment for all items together is yet to arrive. I cannot find a way to schedule anything on the website, and on the phone I can not find a way to talk to a human being. I have received no response to my email. If I could give zero stars I would.

Sarah Gunel: Customer service was super here! All of the sales associates were helpful, but not pushy. They were also pleasant (happy). After we returned home from our shopping, I realize that I left my daughter's hat there. I called and the woman who answered the phone said she would mail it to me. I was incredibly impressed with their customer service. I would definitely return to this store!

Julian Coats: Brandi and Corinth restored my faith that great customer service still exists. For me it was very special in that I am in the process of relocating from overseas (work for the military) I hadn’t lived in the states for years. So setting up a residence in the states from overseas can and did present many challenges some such as the time difference I am 6 hours ahead of est. this being said brandy and Corinth were 100% professional from the moment I spoke with them. Their patience with me was wonderful. They took the time to really help me in figuring out what was the best package for me at the same time being flexible. as someone with little knowledge of furniture they took the time to use their knowledge to ensure the furniture was a great match. I could go on and on about the overall customer service experience I received. But mostly when we are overseas we feel detached when having to deal with relocation because most just don’t understand the challenge we are facing when trying to establish a new residence in the states but Corinth and Brandi took the time to listen to ensure the furniture portion was seamless. . I thank them both and will highly recommend to my unit overseas to make sure anyone transitioning to the dc area reach out to the for any furniture needs. Kayla Imani: All we can say is WOW! My boyfriend and I are moving into our first apartment and we needed quality furniture at an AFFORDABLE price. We called before making the hour drive to this location to make sure they had what we wanted and Corinth assured us that they had our choices and that they were in great condition. When we got there everything was in amazing shape and Corinth helped us put together an amazing package within our budget! While assembly manuals are helpful, having someone who already knows how to disassemble/assemble these furniture pieces definitely expedited my move. Would highly recommend!

Very thankful to Aymann from DC store who helped us for this purchase and spent a lot of time explaining and choosing the right stuff. Looking forward to few other Bo-Concept furniture in our home.

Michael Nagan: Two big thumbs-up for BoConcept, and Tim. The first thumbs-up is for the furniture itself. We purchased several Mariposa chairs and a Granada table. We have absolutely loved them both! They are probably our favorite pieces of furniture. The table is incredibly easy to expand and contract, so we actually do it all the time. (The mechanism is kind of fun to use, so I actually like doing it, rather than dreading it.) And the chairs are beautiful and comfortable. The second thumbs-up is for their service. We had a problem with one of the chairs almost five years after we purchased it. The warranty had long since ended, but I contacted Tim (who wasn’t even the owner when we purchased the chairs) to ask about it. He concluded that the problem shouldn’t have happened, so he offered to fix the chair for free. That involved replacing a substantial piece of the chair - which couldn’t have been cheap for them. And they did the repair in about 15 minutes at their warehouse while I waited and chatted with the lovely repair people. I guess you can tell that I feel pretty positive about BoConcept, but they’ve earned it!

Rob Streicker: I cannot say enough nice things about BoConcept DC and its owner Tim Machenaud. I purchased an office chair from this shop almost 5 years ago and it held up beautifully until one of the wheels popped off -- it appeared that normal wear and tear had stripped a bolt of its threading. Despite the chair being out of warranty, Tim immediately offered to replace the entire chair at no cost to me. It was available to pick up from the showroom the next day. This is customer service at its finest. I'm now sitting in my new chair writing this review -- a very happy customer.

Patricia Strohm: The team at Bo Concept did a terrific job in helping me find the right furniture for my new place. I've always liked the furniture and other products at Bo Concepts but the Georgetown store is the best (better than the ones in London) I have visited.

Laura Lee: Seriously, the best customer service EVER!. We bought a couch and a rug here and Tim is so expeditious with his replies to anything we needed. There was a little piece of fabric that was sticking out after we got it delivered and he came right away to fix it. The delivery was also the BEST delivery experience I have ever had. SOOOOO OD professional! The inside of the moving vehicle was even cleaner than my house! Definitely NOT a 3rd party delivery service and fake white glove delivery. They wore booties when they came into the house, came within the time frame of said delivery, and gave 20-25 mins notice as promised. I would DEFINITELY recommend them to ANYONE! Superb 5 star service.

Quality, modern products and affordable prices. Our salesman, Rick, certainly exceeded his required sales markers. He wasn't "pushy" as some sales people may be - and that means a ton to me. Adrienne Archer: I had a great experience at this store. I needed a new office chair and just walked in and Doni immediately helped me. He answered all of my questions and showed me different chairs until I found the one that I really liked. Of course, it was the first one I picked out :). I was in and out in about 30 minutes. nick keno: I purchased a used bed for my son for his college dorm and although it was graded as C it was in excellent condition. The assistant manager Doni was extremely helpful. He understood my need and was able to sell me a sturdy bed that was most appropriate for a college kid and he even had it delivered and set up for my son. I would recommend getting furniture from the outlet store. Although the furniture is used its in excellent condition.

Lindsey Poole: I had fun picking out a great, comfy sleeper couch and a comfy chair to go with it. They were incredibly well-priced and in excellent shape (used). When they were delivered, I had planned to vacuum and steam them but they were so clean I didn't need to. Rick was very helpful picking out the furniture, explaining options, and arranging the delivery.
