The Pub & The People: what do users think?

Ethan Z: Great Restaurant!! This Restaurant is in the city area and offers indoor and outside seating!! The menu is rather small but the food and drinks were great!! The wait staff were friendly and professional!! The restaurant was also clean and well presented. The bathrooms are coolly decorated too with people sending pictures in of there family pets in to be featured on the wall. Overall great!

Becky Gomez: Such a great spot for a lonely, taveling vegetarian! 😂 Bar service was superb and a delightful vibe. Great beer selection. Perfect shishitos 🌶️ and tempura cauliflower!

AJ Hendricks: Pub and the People is our favorite outdoor spot in Bloomingdale. The beers they have on tap are great, and the food (specifically, the Black Bean burger and "The Heidi" Fried Chicken sandwich) is very solid. The tempura cauliflower sauce is also amazing. Matt, the manager, is very friendly and just a welcoming face to see when you come in. This radiates through the whole staff. The happy hour specials are awesome, and run for most of the day on the weekends. Enjoy!

Parker Kelley: Very great experience here ! We’ve passed this place numerous times and I’ve always said I wanted to try it. So, we finally did ! I ordered the Heidi chicken sandwich which was very tasteful. It came with a side of fries which were also very good. The service was great - 3 or 4 people continuously came to check on us. I’d definitely eat here again.

Bobbi DeAnda: Such a great brunch spot! The outdoor patio is pup friendly (and the bathroom inside is a must see for dog lovers haha). The biscuits and gravy with fried chicken was TO DIE FOR. So yummy! Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Callum Wayman: A great local pub for people in Eckington and Bloomingdale. The pub offers a great selection of beers, wine, and cocktails as well as an excellent food menu (try the tempura cauliflower, chicken sandwich, and the fries). In the winter they offer group seating around large fire pits for small gatherings. I found that to be a huge boon when trying to gather friends outdoors while being mindful of COVID during the winter. The staff are nice and helpful.

Amy Burdon: Had dinner and played trivia - food menu was fairly short but with lots of tasty items - I enjoyed the curry wings and gazpacho. Staff were friendly, happy hour drinks were a good deal. All positives!

The Dubliner Restaurant: what do users think?

H: I have never had a sublime turkey burger until I went here. Half a pound patties on toasted brioche buns with a side of thick cut fries. Great spot to hit a spot for pub food. The fries were a tad overly seasoned for my taste but I was thoroughly impressed by the burger of the day and the bison burger. Okay service. Restaurant is connected to a hotel in the back. Outdoor patio seating available. Nice atmosphere even though music was a bit too loud at times to converse.

Samar Al Kobrossy: Great place! The food is tasty and flavorful. The portions are big. The decoration is amazing. The waiters are attentive and can give you tips on how to navigate your way around the city. You can sit down, relax, and enjoy your food while listening to some beautiful Irish songs.

Kelly Hyer: Great local choice. Fabulous service and really great food. When in an Irish spot, must have the fish and chips. Seasoned fries- yum. Sooo good, highly recommend. Pretzel stix appetizer delish. Nice kids options too 👌 🌭 🍟

Brett Daviau: Breakfast was great. Salmon bagel with all the fixings. Poor server was trying her best to handle the whole shop by herself. Hope she can get some help. Delicious.

Bobbi DeAnda: AMAZING SERVICE!!! Food was ok, but the service was amazing. So friendly. So fast. So responsive. I actually left my sunglasses and someone ran them out to me!!! The French fries are AMAZINGGGGGG, but the rest of the food was just ok. Fish and chips, fish ok. Burger, ehh. I ordered the burger medium and it was well done. Probably a great spot for drinks and snacks, but wouldn’t go for lunch again. For drinks and French fries, YES!

craig mossinger: This is an absolute must for lunch! Service is quick and friendly! Fish n chips and the Irish Rueben are phenomenal.

Steve Meier: Great place, and of course what do you order at an Irish Resturant? Fish & Chips and it was probably the best I have ever had. Some of my coworkers were Shepherd Pie fans and a couple others were more traditional and had a Chicken Sandwich. The common theme was everyone was happy with their meal. Service was great and atmosphere was pleasant.

Across the Pond: what do users think?

Mark Darwin: Low key bar with a great selection of beers on tap. Didn’t try the food, but the options looked good.

Gina Elliott: I had my fathers 60th birthday here. The booking of the event was easy and the menu that was provided was great. The waiters and bartenders were quick and friendly. We had a chance to meet the owner while we were there and he was friendly and appreciative. I Love to support local business and I’m glad to have them in the city.

Amanda Casillas-Gallegos: Delicious Fish and Chips. Thick and great tasting!! Also tried the Cornish beef and macaroni w/cheese. Tried their Mango Beer, my son tried a Guinness and we LOVED IT!! Be careful menu does not show pricing!!

Jasmine Kaidbey: Watched the caps game here and will definitely be back. Very friendly and welcoming staff, prompt service, nice game atmosphere. Menu offers lots of options beyond the quality of your average sports bar. Glad to have tried it out!

Peter Pellegrino: Across the Pond is an awesome place! Service was spectacular and the food was authentic and out of this world. They always have so many options for sporting events on the tv’s. Their live music is always good and the speaker system sounds amazing.

Rita S: Drinks were inexpensive, fills up quickly when games are on so get there early

Froggy Bottom Pub: what do users think?

Ann Faust: We came here during a quick visit to DC on a Saturday afternoon. The pub food I ordered (Fish & chips) was very nice. Proper fish pieces were hand-battered and fried crisp. One of my kids had the PHÒ and it was unexpectedly wonderful. Simple noodles and meat but the broth were exceptionally good. Moses was the gentleman who served our food. I say he was also a 5-star server, quick, witty and nice. I would definitely like to come back when we are around.

Jessica Martin: Got Pho Froggy to go (go in and ask to order takeout) and it was delicious and fresh. Best part was the kind and considerate service, though. I’d like to go back during their happy hour, since it looks like they have really cool cocktails and I felt a comfortable vibe the time I spent there. Also they clearly mark gluten free (and other allergen) items on their menu, which is always very much appreciated.

Daniel Ruiz-Rossi: Excellent. Really good Chicken Pho. The búfalo wings were fantastic too. It was my first time there. I didn’t feel like drinking tonight but it seems they have really good beers as well. Just give it a try! It’s good.

Tina: Unexpected and great place, an odd combination of Vietnamese fair and pub food...everything was delicious. They had a private event when we went but we were able to sit outside, we got Cobb salad, pho and butter pasta (for our little guy). Service was awesome and food was good and reasonably priced. Will definitely go back.

Joe Weaver: I had the Pho Froggy and it was excellent. Some other members of my party tried traditional tavern fare like cheesesteaks, and it was also great. The place has a nice vibe. The service was fast, friendly, and they got everything right even with a couple of us showing up late. Decent beer selection and good prices for the area. Only minor complaints I would register, and not enough to knock off a star, but I do perceive these reviews as an opportunity to give the owner feedback if they read it, so here goes... 1) the place was slightly warmer than my preference, not egregiously so, but just slightly. We were sitting in the front on a 90 degree day. 2) again, just my preference, but the stools at the high-top tables in the front do not have seat backs. I prefer seat backs for comfort. I would absolutely stop here again if I am in the area.

Hilda Kroll: My Diplomat Bacon Cheddar burger ($12.95) with sweet potato fries ($3) was so good and very reasonably priced for so much food. A good place to enjoy a relaxed, casual lunch.

Nikoloz Gogilidze: very friendly service and nice public. I have been there twice and enjoyed both times. Burger is really nice and they offer to prepare meat even rare which is not an option in every bar.

Lisa Sullivan: All the way from Vermont and am loving this outdoor patio, mixed drinks during happy hour and a really amazing bar tender!

Emma Austin: I felt so welcomed at Post Pub. The staff was over the top and extremely friendly. They were constantly checking in on us. The drinks were great. We only got one order of fries and they were good too. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

George Stover: The historic Pub in downtown DC is back. It was always cherished before and now with the new staff and menu, it can be cherished again. Go for the pub fare and stay for the experience.

Kirwan’s on the Wharf: what do users think?

Abhinav: Food: 3/5 Ambience:4/5 Service: 3.5 /5 The patio of this place on the wharf is pretty cool. We went there just because of that. The food was very mediocre for the prices they charge. We went around 9:15am, we had to ask for the menu twice, ask the waiter to bring cutlet after food was served. We were give only one menu card for a table of three. I guess the waiter was tired for the day but nevertheless expected better than that.

Kyle D: Cool place at the Wharf. Nice atmosphere, however the food was just okay. I’ve had better fish and chips before (the breading fell off the fish and didn’t seem to be seasoned as well as it could). The crab cake appetizer was very good, however.

Paul LaVigne: Kirwans on the wharf is located right at the waterfront and is a good place to go if you have a hankering for Irish pub food. The location is excellent, and the interior is decorated very nicely, but the back room Bar area was exceedingly warm. That would be ok on a cool evening, however it was 90+ degrees when we went in and they’re looking to get relief from the heat. The bartender/waitress who served us was very nice and did a great job of making us feel comfortable. The food was superb as well. I had the bacon and cabbage meal which consisted of pork loin, bacon, cabbage and I opted for the sweet potato fries. It was one of the best pub meals I’ve had. My wife had the lamb burger with colcannon mash. She said it was the best burger and mashed potato dish she’s ever had.

catch_hug: Great for beers and a quick bite. Waiters seem all very good trained and attentive. Food was spiced dezent and authentically, even though the tuna poke (wich btw is not what you are serving) was way too much sesame. Local craft beers on tap, try the sour.

Sam D: Stopped here to avoid the humid day. Great atmosphere and cool a/c. I grabbed a Chicken Pot Pie and it was the best crispy crust and chicken was on point. Highly recommend 10/10

Elizabeth T.: We stopped in here for a few drinks after a free concert and we’re happy with the prices considering the area. We stayed for a few appetizers and I honestly wasn’t that impressed. It did it’s job with curbing my hunger but it was enough for us to choose to go somewhere else for dinner. They sat us quickly and the waitress was very attentive to our needs and brought out the food quickly.

Irish Channel Restaurant & Pub: what do users think?

M Atienzasis: Across from Saint Mary Mother of God R.C. Church NW Washington DC, 15 min from Union Station. Interesting Irish stop spot with an active bar/restaurant serving lunch & dinner with attentive staff, try generous serving of ceeamy tomato soup & special grilled cheese sandwich with bacon & tomato. Authentic Irish decor sparking some nostalgia.

Jennifer Winand: This place is a must do! We were greeted with ice cold water as soon as we walked in (we had walked a mile to get here and it was so hot out). We had the best Shepherds Pie I have ever had and a delicious creme brule for dessert. Cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The best part? The most AMAZING staff. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Dan Saunders: Great place to grab a proper breakfast and watch the football. The service was great and showed many screens for the football. As a spurs fan it was great to watch the games amongst like minded fellow fans. Also the beer price was not too expensive with an offer on when spurs were playing.

Richard Svagerko: Had the Shepards Pie, and it was good. Our group had several beers that we thought was a little expensive. The atmosphere was good because of the large friendly group of Police Officers that were there celebrating National Police Week. Service was a little slow though.

Soren Dews: Bayron was an amazing server. He was just the right amount of attentive to take care of us but not overbearing. His personality was great, really nice and friendly. To top it off it was his first day serving! Thank you!

Diane Bencemulkerrin: I had the Spice Bag and wow it was amazing! Service was fab my husband had the Cheeseburger and said it hit all the right spots came in to get set up for the Luton v Huddersfield match and got it sorted in no time nothing is too much trouble Will definitely be coming back!!!

Richard Mahaffey: Another very nice venue and very popular happy hour gathering place. Patriots are very friendly and happy. Also employees appear to be happy and seem to love their job and the people that come there...

Ren Jax: Any place with sweet potato fries is already thumbs up for me. Aside from that, the staff was present, and friendly. The food was seasoned just right, and I loved the portions served. We sat on the patio around lunchtime, which looked like it was used for extra storage space in some sections. A little crowded, the tables and chairs could probably be arranged to better utilize the space, or just use less of them in the space.

Xenon Booth: Great outdoor space for those not ready for indoor mingling yet. Remember to pack your proof of vaccination and photo ID (not on phone). Drinks are reasonably priced though service was a little slow.

Emily Smith: Definitely check out Union Pub! The bartenders were so sweet and the food was just awesome. Really great atmosphere both outside and in the back at the bar. Check it out asap!

Elephant & Castle: what do users think?

Ardavan Tookaloo: I like the vibe and atmosphere. It is cozy inside with a character. There is also a good outdoor area to seat. The food tastes good and price is good. However for some people might be small. For example I got fish & chips and it was only one piece. However the piece was big enough comparable with 2 regular pieces at other places, although I was there for lunch so not sure if dinner portion and the price is different. At the end I enjoyed it and will go back there.

Elizabeth Tenen: Great location with a nice pub atmosphere. We had a Cajun Chicken Wrap with French Fries and Chicken Fingers with Onion Rings. Both dishes were very tasty. Our waiter was very short with us but we noticed that he was rather chatty with everyone else. That felt pretty weird but we decided not let it bother us.

Frankie Painter: This was our 3rd trip here and while the food is really good, my portion this time was small. I got the chicken pot pie and actually was thrilled that it wasn’t cooked in the dough but instead a tasty, flaky crescent square was placed on top of the pot pie ingredients. My husband got the Shepherds Pie which he loved and which had a normal portion. Overall, for me it was a delicious meal but I left a little hungry. We dined on 1/22/22 and had to show ID with proof of vaccination.

Corey: A solid pub, reasonable prices and good service. We stopped here for lunch after visiting the mall. The prices here are very reasonable for the area, the menu was well rounded and service was pretty good. Save your money and enjoy yourself for a reasonable cost you will get a better meal than many of the places around.

Mahdi Shirvin: This place is huge, cool interior, and good food. The burger bun was a little disappointing, but the steak cut fries was fantastic 👏. Four Pies, was a nice option for you to try lots of options, and great for someone like me who can not decide. The huge brownie taste great. Make sure to keep room for dessert.

Jelena M: Food was AMAZING, tasted great! My brother loved their sweet potato fries, while I was more interested in the fish and chips (yum!) The chicken sliders were also good, the potato buns were great. I just wished the service came around more, (that is the reason for 4 stars) it was raining a bit after we sat down (we ate outside with the roof- covered seating) and they took away all the condiments from each table, including ours, and did not come again until we paid so I could not ask for ketchup or the straw I wanted. But the food itself is a 5/5! Recommend the fish and chips like the other reviews!

Present Company Public House: what do users think?

Jess: My boyfriend and I stayed nearby so we literally had brunch, dinner and dessert (not all in the same day) but service was polite and speedy, wait staff checked in regularly to ensure everything was okay/refill drinks. Menu a bit smaller in selection however great quality and presentation. Really enjoyed the outdoor lighting and even inside had a cool relaxing vibe with music and comfortable seating. Would definitely come again- probably for dinner their burgers were our favorite and their drink specials looked awesome.

Natalie I: I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience here and with Lauren. We had a welcome reception the night before our wedding upstairs in the Dalmation room with about 40 attendees. Everything from beginning to end was handled wonderfully in terms of planning. We wanted something simple and just wanted to create an atmosphere that would give us more time to bond with our guests. And they delivered! The room was set up perfectly with open spaces but also seating for those that needed to sit. The food was set up in the corner, allowing photos of the awesome mural in the background. The food was also AMAZING!! We heard so many compliments from folks - especially about the mini boa w/ bacon, nashville hot chicken sliders, and tuna tartar. My personal fave is the onion tip with the inhouse made chips. We elected for an open bar with whatever guests wanted to order. I was worried this may be overwhelming to the bartender (not having any preset drinks for group this size) but he handled everything perfectly. I never waited for a drink and never saw anyone else waiting for a drink. If you are planning an event, I recommend this place! Such a unique space with a team that really cares about their business, food and giving you the experience you want and deserve.

Aaron Schinstock: We have lived in the area for about two years and eat out regularly. Lots of places have great service. There are tons of places with great food. Some even have sublime drinks. This is the first place where we had all 3 effortlessly. Plus, the ambiance is superb. If you’re looking for an ideal dining experience, this is your spot. If you want it at a reasonable price, this is your lucky day. If you’re willing to “pay for quality”, I’d still recommend this restaurant. There are places where you can pay more, but nowhere where you can get better food AND service. We are particular about our BBQ. When we were considering the burnt ends, the chef sent out a sample of their sauce (amazing). We hadn’t eaten here before and our server suggested one of us should sub the tots for our fries. Excellent suggestion. Our server was the head bartender and yet the other restaurant staff ensured we were never even remotely neglected when our server was busy. I can’t think of a single thing they could’ve done better. If I could give them a million stars, I would. If you’re still reading this review, STOP READING AND JUST EAT HERE.

Imdancer D: All star. The brunch and bottomless mimosas were incredible. Really though, our server Bianca was so awesome. She helped us out finding things around the city and was just an overall warm, sunny person. Great food, great service!

Arik D. Brown: The food we tried was very good. I really enjoyed the wings and Vegan Curry Bowl. My wife also enjoyed the Ahi Tuna Burger.. Service was very friendly as well. The only thing that was not optimal was the wait for the food. There were very few customers and it took awhile for our food to be served. For most of our time my wife and I were the only ones dining inside. I would definitely recommend this place!

Julia Xia: Booked Present Company for 2 private work events - beautiful, intimate venue with red brick walls and a mural upstairs. Food was yummy and Lauren is so kind and a joy to work with! She answered all my questions in a timely way, gave thoughtful recommendations about our food orders, and made everyone feel welcome. The bartenders were great too and served a hot bourbon cider that i drank way too much of!

Lyndsey Clos: I came here for my graduation brunch with a party of 12 and this was the best experience I’ve ever had at brunch in DC. I brunch a LOT and Lauren is by far the best, most shining personality I’ve had. She made our experience so fun and pleasant, and I cannot recommend this enough! I can’t wait to go back. PS - the orange crush and avocado Benedict are to die for.

Jay Bauer: I love this place! Great vibe, awesome service / people, and insanely good food for a neighborhood pub/restaurant. DO NOT sleep on the tuna burger! Upon first bite it instantly became my go-to favorite. Don’t be fooled by the description, like I was initially. Typically I prefer a filet cut if ordering a fish sandwich - so when I saw that the tuna was ground, I shied away. Eventually I got talked into it by a former bartender, Patrick, who said it was hands down his favorite thing on the menu. Well, I did and now it’s mine as well. I’ve literally ordered it for lunch and then gone back and had it again for dinner on multiple occasions. So, to sum up…get yourself to Present Company and if you’re hungry, grab the tuna burger - you’ll thank me later. If you see a ꓭ. sticker behind the bar, that’s me! Be present. Be company. Just BE. Love this place, you will too…but try and keep it our little secret! Enjoy!

Sam D: Nice small town/family type place. Richard was a great guy and was pretty outgoing for whatever advice you wanted, whether food or DC activities. I just had cheese fries and alcohol but would definitely come again. 5/5

J B: Stopped in after a fun night tour and loved the atmosphere! A real local place with great people , amazing bartender and friendly regular patrons made the experience even more enjoyable. The menu has all you need and the food was delicious! We were able to catch the last part of the game on and truly had fun with everyone cheering the hometown team. I highly recommend...absolutely worth it .

Jon Phillips: Friendly staff, laid back and relaxing feel.. outdoor setting. After long day of sightseeing needed to relax and recharge. Great place for drinks, outdoor sitting and food.

Lisa Mcclease-Kelly: Who knew that a little place like this cafe could have such great food! I had the salad with grilled chicken. It was excellent. My husband had the grilled chicken sandwich. We shared a bowl of chili as well. The owner and staff were kind and respectful and gave us unvaccinated guests a warm, covered place to sit outside. Go and support these hard working people. You will be happy you did.

Boundary Stone: what do users think?

Mỹ Phan: The best customer service experience since Covid started! I got the Honey Hot Chicken for my entrée, which was amazing. As for my drink, I’m pretty specific as to what I like. I asked for the sweetest drink on the menu and my waitress debated with the bartender to create the best drink that fitted me perfectly. Highly recommend this spot!!

Paul Donaldson: Bounty Stone is a charming neighborhood bar that serves good food and great service. My son had a steak and I had the fried chicken sandwich. Both were delicious. Eat inside or outside on the front patio.

Scott Jordan: They have impeccable service, an equally impeccable spirits selection. Kayla our was amazing and made my trip to DC worth it. The food and the drinks were on point. If you are in NW DC check it out. It is well worth the trip.

Kenny Myers: Excellent burger and pretty good beer selection! Also had a fantastic peach cobbler for dessert last time I went. Update: Brunch here is also really really good! Had the honey hot serial Benny and the cinnamon roll was delicious.

Brittany M: Love this place! Great food, bartenders are cool. Hubby and I got free mimosas with our entree. One of the best low key brunch spots in DC

Ronitakred Akred: We had amazing food & service at Bullfeathers!! Our son fell in love with their dessert. We ended up going 3 days in a row for this delicious dessert. The staff remembered us & our previous orders. We really appreciated the amazing customer service 😊

Sarah “Sarah4Va” White: Such a unique place. The food was really great as was the service. If you are looking for something a little different but very tasty I highly recommend you check it out!

Elena G.: Great drinks and sandwiches 🥪Great price and close to the capitol!

Nadia Simmons: Food was great, excellent location .... the service was mediocre at best though. Maybe southern people are used to a little more hospitality.....

Heleen Raes: This is a busy place with a nice selection of beverages and food. I had a salad here which was very tasty. The bad points are the fact that the outdoor seats are a bit uncomfy to sit in (there are no pillows on the metal chairs) and the restrooms are not clean.

Sue Longson: This place is an institution on the hill and managed to stay open during COVID! The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is fantastic. It is a great place to arrest and have some great food while you are sightseeing or visiting legislators.

Rob Mateo: Nice spot for a quick lunch in DC between meetings. Good club sandwich. Nothing fancy and I like that.

Kelly Hyer: Different take on food and drinks! Open seating, order everything at the bar. Pay ahead. You get a table # and food brought out to you. I hand a house made summer shandy and it was delicious. Kids liked their fish+chips and chicken tenders. My veggie burger was fab as well.

Brandon DePalo: Good food, great service, good atmosphere. We stopped here for lunch and drinks. The drinks were good (a bit weak, but tasty). Food was good. I had the chicken curry and it was great, and a perfect portion for lunch. My wife had the fish and chips and there was only 2 little fish pieces. Prices are typical for DC, expensive.

Caleb Newman: Cocktails are a bit pricey and the lack of a happy hour is disappointing. Atmosphere is good with a great location for river and people-watching. The crab dip is a must-try and the pairing of naan chips is excellent. Good service and polite staff!

Chrissie Powell: Yummy food, great music and awesome service. Our bartender, Quinn was amazing—it was packed on St Patty’s Day weekend (Saturday) but he was so attentive and friendly. The hostess was great too. Great vegetarian options!

City Tap House Penn Quarter: what do users think?

Mikaila L: We came in late in the night around 10:30pm after not being able to find any available or open restaurants on a Friday night and we were able to be seated right away! We are so glad we found this place. The music was great & we had fast service. I ordered the Caesar salad with added avocado. The crostini with it was such good addition and the salad was honestly perfect. It was so delicious, it was one of the best Caesar salads I’ve had. I could eat that all the time lol. The only thing I didn’t like was the added cost of the avocado was $2 and they gave us maybe 1/8th of an avocado but other than that it was great. We also shared a dessert, we had the skillet cookie with vanilla ice cream and it was amazing! The prices were great as well and very affordable. I would highly recommend it here!

Paul Phan: The food was delicious, but my service was awful. I didn’t get checked on once and didn’t have utensils or napkins. I was just handed the check at the end after I asked someone else to get our waiter. I won’t let one bad experience ruin the rating since the food was excellent.

Drew: I agree with other reviewers- BEST wings I’ve ever had in my entire life. We also got the greens and grains salad and the tandoori chicken and all 3 were absolutely fantastic. Beer selection is phenomenal. If I could rate this place higher I would. Could not recommend it more.

Chalsie Baker: We had a great time at City Tap House tonight. From the chill vibe, awesome food, and the best service from Isaac, we have nothing but great things to say about this place. If you are out and about in DC, it needs to be on your list!

The Bottom Line: what do users think?

Jack Kaz (HyeProfile): Chill old school bar near the white house... Great selection of beers, and the bar food was decent. The barman was very chill and kept checking up on me quite a bit. The crowd was pretty respectful as well. They had soccer playing on the big screen behind the bar, which is rare but nice!

sam camp: Really great burgers, salads, wraps and sandwiches at a reasonable price. They have an awesome collection of beers as well.Highly recommend a visit.

Istvan Horvath: Great service, awesome food! Staff was courteous, friendly. We had two burgers - they were huge, full of goodness, perfectly prepared. Side fries were crunchy, side salad full of fresh veggies. Definitely recommended!

Tanner Paladino: Great casual spot for some food and especially some drinks! Friendly and very hard working staff! Nice place to catch the game. Definitely recommend

Saboin Vifquain: Enjoyed the atmosphere and the fare twice this week while visiting DC. The staff is friendly, the food is yummy and I would highly recommend popping by for a beer and a bite to eat.

Joe Joemer: Excellent cuisine and incredibly warm service. When I bit into my enormous, delectable Heidenberger, I was concerned that my jaw would become locked. That hamburger bun has so much delicious food on it.

Blackfinn DC: what do users think?

Celine Aka-Koffi: The food was delicious. The Fried Chicken Fried was one of the best Fried chickens I ever had. It was flavorful, crispy on the outside, but tender and juicy inside. The fried chicken came with green beans and potatoes which were also flavorful. Service was excellent.

Vy H.: Came here for dinner and drinks Tuesday night—not a lot of people there so plenty of available tables and high tops near the bar to watch sport games/the Olympics! Food wise—the Shrimp & Crab Dip and the BLT Chicken Tacos were good! Drink wise—my cocktails were relatively weak, more soda than liquor, small and with lots of ice. Service was okay. But prices are pretty reasonable here!

Aurican's Lair (Curt S): This was a nice place that we randomly went into when we were looking for some quick food and drinks before touring the Capital sites. Service was fast and the food was really good.

Brian Redder: One of my favorite places. I work nearby and they have the best prices and a great happy hour. I’ve only tried their apps but they were delicious. Hoping to try the main foods soon. Definitely recommend (they have a great outdoor area too).

Page Graham: Nice place. Great outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Good food.

gen.xsprtsmn: this restaurant was great! I would highly suggest it. the prices were reasonable, the food was delicious and the services was exceptional. if ever in the D.C. area again, we will definitely eat here again.

Saloon: what do users think?

Lázaro Carvalhaes: A very welcoming atmosphere with delicious food and great service. They are a non-profit and use the money to build schools in poor countries. The live piano music is the cherry on top.

E E: Love this place, the ambience, and the owner is a gem. Also…they have these insane brandy (or rum?) soaked blueberries that are made in-house. You. Must. Try. Them. Cheesecake will never be the same.

Mary Grewe: Walk down a few steps into a place where Belgian Trappists meet Syrian/Ethiopian clerics for a Cold brew, garlic fried favas, and perhaps a game of backgammon. No martinis and no TV! Keep your phone in your pocket. Luxurious service. Exotic and extensive beer list plus moonshine & classical music. Open your heart.

Theron Williams: I love to visit small unique bars with their own different atmosphere. This was definitely one that my wife and I enjoyed.

Erin McGuire: Lovely cool decor and love music with pianos

Cassandra Brzezinski: This bar is perfection. Not pretentious and is a nonprofit. It’s a DC institution as much as Ben’s is.

Jens Witter: Somehow crazy but special. I am still not sure if their story is authentic or just a business strategy but we liked it a lot there :)
