Thriveworks Counseling & Psychiatry DC: what do users think?

LETICIA DE CASSIA LOPEZ FARIA: I had the pleasure to have Alexis Harris as my supervisor for the last couple of years. She is a phenomenal clinician! She is an empathetic and thoughtful listener. She always emphasized the client-centered care and helped people discovering their strengths in life. Her attentiveness and professionalism are noticeable.

Jeffrey Rascoe: My counselor Alexis H. was BEYOND excellent!!! See really took the time to listen to not only my current issues/concerns but also this that I have experienced in the past. She worked with me on my goal planning and the steps to attain those goals. I am so glad that I came in contact with her. I feel renewed and refocused!!!

Morganne Brownlee: Alexis have a a GREAT therapist. She is attentive and very skilled in her clinical approach. She is able to use her skills to engage her clients in a way that makes them feel most comfortable and most valued. I highly recommend her for her expertise.

Theo Beckles: Excellent Excellence! Alexis is an amazing, attentive and patient therapist who makes you feel safe when getting to the heart of whats really going on in life..

Tiara Fennell: If it were possible, I would give 10 stars! Ieisha Dale is a phenomenal therapist and a great addition to the Thriveworks team. As a former colleague, her strengths lie in her ability to assess and track sequences, her open and non-judgemental approach with her clients and overall investment in her clients improvement. Anyone who works with her, as a client or colleague, will have the opportunity to see these strengths and more at Thriveworks.

Taylor Pettway: I’m so excited that Ieisha Dale will be joining the team at Thriveworks! As a former co-therapist and colleague, Ieisha brings her curiosity, authenticity, and systemic lens to every team and to every client. Her attention to cultural concerns and her ability to build resources and relationships provides a holistic support for individuals, children, and families. With her thoroughness and professionalism at the helm, she provides tangible opportunities for change and a validating experience for all in her sphere of influence.

Tanya Vasunia: I give five stars to Nitika Gupta, a highly skilled therapist. I know her in the capacity of colleague and have found her knowledge and insight invaluable to my practice. Nitika is a dedicated and well-informed therapist who brings compassion and mindfulness into each of her sessions. Her eclectic approach allows her to expertly navigate therapy session while being sensitive and informative. Nitika has the ability to navigate cultural nuances and complex issues such as race and gender with the compassion and patience it deserves. I highly recommend seeking her expertise.

Romanus07: Just wanted to leave this review for Brandan Vazquez. He’s good at what he does and an easy person to talk to. I’ve been through 3 therapists in the past 2 years (mostly due to the pandemic) and I can finally say I’ ve found one that really understand my situation and background , highly recommend!! Especially any black males looking for someone who looks like them and can relate.

The Ross Center: what do users think?

Robert Scott: How can you get good adolescent care virtually when everyone can go to the movies, hair salons and all the other activities, but a simple in- person program or seeing a psychologist is off limits because of the excuse of a pandemic. Is the psychologist and therapist too good to not meet in-person when all of us are working back at work? We all need to be loud and tell our mental health professionals that we are not going to take virtual as an option anymore. This company just cares for the ole mighty dollar and they think that they can give adolescent mental health effectively virtually as our children keep falling apart. This is ridiculous and unprofessional.

Rachel Wise: When my teenage daughter was experiencing some anxiety, I called the Ross Center and she was scheduled the next day for an evaluation. The entire process was smooth and efficient. The professionals on staff worked with us to figure out the best treatment options. My daughter had an extremely positive experience at The Ross Center. I highly recommend the Ross Center.

Jill Jacobs: Unprofessional, discriminatory, argumentative, and poorly informed. I tried to make an appointment here, and made it very clear that I am willing to pay cash -not use insurance at all - but was told that because my insurance is Tricare, they will not see me. Repeatedly I explained that I have no intention of using insurance nor filing with insurance after the fact, I simply want to get therapy and pay for it myself. In fact, I explained I would be willing to sign a document to that effect or write a letter and have it notarized declaring this. Regardless, I was told that they will NOT see any person who has Tricare, Medicaid, or Medicare, period... This place does not file or accept any kind of insurance at all; they only accept out of pocket payments. Yet they will not take my money, will not even tell me their fees because... Why...? I happen to have a past association association with the military...? This is not only discriminatory, but bad business practice, in general. I would give zero stars if I could.

Laura Webb: The Ross Center has been an extraordinary resource for me. Because of them, I’ve found exactly the right treatment to manage my anxiety, and I’m so grateful.

Therapeutic Links Behavioral Health Services: what do users think?

Tammie D. Martin: Therapeutic Links Behavioral Health Services is a top-notch mental health practice. I have known the owner Florian Portis for many years, and she is an outstanding person, therapist, and leader. Her team provides evidenced-based therapy to diverse clients with compassion, understanding, and the highest ethical principles. If you or a loved one is struggling in any way, you will find the help you need here!

Andrea Dresser: Therapeutic Links Behavioral Health Services provides compassionate, quality care. Ms. Florian Portis is dedicated to quality care of clients as well as staff.

Katharine G: The entire scheduling process with Therapeutic Links was frustrating. I was not sent the Telehealth information for 3 intake appointments. Yes, I had to schedule 3 intake appointments due to incorrect recording of my contact information, rescheduling, and lack of sending me dial in details. The administrative team also rescheduled me with a different therapist than the one I had requested without communicating that change to me. I found their communication and scheduling to be careless and inappropriate, if not harmful for a mental health clinic.

Leigh Zamzow: My therapist has really helped me overcome my anxiety, I am so grateful to have found Therapeutic Links and finally feel like myself again!

Washington Psychological Wellness: what do users think?

Carla L: I love my discussions and or let’s say my experiences with Jonathan- he is the best to talk to. I have learned so much from him and our talks are meaningful and insightful. He is a treasure to work with, and so much more. Truly a diamond in the rough and happy that I found him!!

Katie Waller: I have had a great experience with this clinic. After searching for the right therapist for a long time, I have finally found one that I really like, and I have been showing a lot of progress! Love this company and am so grateful for it.

Rachel Ghaman: Dr. Kaveh is an exceptionally bright and profoundly compassionate professional; she cares deeply about her patients. As empathetic as she is accepting and as real as she is easy to talk to, Dr. Kaveh is as down to earth as they come. The patients of mine that I’ve sent her way, have been quick to return with praise, glowing with adoration for the support they’ve received regardless of the difficulty they are growing through. Without reservation, I proudly refer my patients to Dr. Kaveh. I know they will be in good hands and find the help they deserve.

Ava Stanton: Dr Kaveh is a wonderful psychologist she listens very well and cares for all her patients. I would recommend her to anyone all ages she has a sparkling personality and makes people feel welcomed in her space. She’s a beautiful person on the inside and outside shes a very nice person and her team as well. :)

An Ro: I cannot say enough positive things about Washington Psychological Wellness. Dr. Kaveh and her team exemplify all things that a psychotherapy and counseling center should: they are warm, welcoming, professional, competent, and efficient. It was obvious from the very beginning that Dr. Kaveh has an incredible command of not only the field of psychology, but also of how to run a successful counseling center. She’s put together an ideal environment for someone seeking therapy. Highly recommend!

James Bennet: I am very pleased with the services provided by Washington Psychological Wellness. My wife, myself and two kids have sought therapy at the center and we cannot thank Dr. Kaveh and her team enough. Highly recommended!

Psychiatric Institute of Washington: what do users think?

Andrea: Grateful for this place to exist. I came in as a walk in off the street because I needed help that minute. It was experience here that the vast majority of the staff went above and beyond in every way they could think of to make myself as a patient comfortable and cared for. The minute I walked into admissions I felt cared for and that I did not have to handle it alone any more. Shout out to Hazel for seeing what I needed and giving me her own water bottle when I had not had anything to eat or drink till I walked in. Margo who did my intake interview was so amazingly sympathetic to what I had been going through. It felt so good to be validated. Then I went up to unit 7 and met Gary who I would later see be a phenomenal caretaker for all my fellow patients on the unit. From keeping calm when someone displayed extreme behavior to joking and finding ways to give us a therapeutic experience. The taker for me was when my roommate had a panic attack and I asked for ice to help calm her. He could not give me the packs they had for safety reasons but he came up with a wonderful solution. Showing again that true passion and care for our wellbeing. Thank you all for the work you do everyday.

Aliyah Boyce: I will never send my loved one to this facility ever again. Please do not send your loved ones here. Worst than prison. Staff is rude and disrespectful even management of the program. This place is terrible. Violates every protocol because they can get away with it. The state should shut this place down immediately! If I can rate 0 stars I would. This is a inhumane treatment center. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!!

Sandra Jacinto: If your loved one is admitted here, you won’t be able to communicate with them. My brother was admitted three days ago and I’ve yet to hear anything. In the times that I’ve called I’ve experienced the following: - straight to voicemail - operator says they don’t know the unit number and won’t be able to figure it out - being transferred to a dead end - person says they’ll take my number then immediately hangs up on me - first time I called they told me that his sister already called that morning. False. I’m his only sister and I never called before. I was successful in giving my name and number once and ANOTHER PATIENT CALLED ME BACK. They gave my number to the wrong patient. This is a psychiatric institute. You’d think they’d be careful with who they give messages to for obvious reasons. Clearly they didn’t vet if that patient knows me. I know that there are some good staff members there but the majority of them don’t care and shouldn’t be in this job. There are horror stories about this place how they let patients freely walk around and get in fights. It’s scary that he’s in there and can’t be reached. I don’t trust this place at all.

Kyrah Ford: Zero stars don’t recommend, this place was very unhelpful and mad things worst. Some of the male staff was just creeps and was doing inappropriate things! I highly encourage you to never send anyone to this hospital. worst experience ever!

Mason Mailloux: If I could rate this institution 0 stars I would. Some of the staff are genuine good people but about 80% of them don’t seem to care at all about the “patients” when it’s really just a scam for insurance and Medicaid. There is no security however there are physical fights every day. They hardly feed you and when they do it’s worse than jail food, The group therapy is a joke 45min out of the 24 sleepless hours in a day. No one in their right mind would ever want to get admitted here.

Jessica Fullington: If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction and/or mental health, this is an EXCELLENT place to receive help. The staff is truly exceptional and very compassionate! I was in TERRIBLE condition when I was brought to the facility. The expert level care that I received made it possible for me to return to my normal life in just one week. They even made sure that I had a solid plan to continue my care once I was discharged. I would urge ANYONE who is looking for this type of assistance to go to this wonderful place. Hopefully, I will never need them again. God bless

Cam N: This place needs to be shut down immediately, no care or respect for patients. Disregard for health and sanity. Food is terrible, showers are ice cold. Employees force religious beliefs. Not profesional what so ever

Mary Moaney: If I could give this place zero stars I absolutely would staff does not communicate with parents of children patients. Patients are fighting no security no control no organization etc. My daughter had a panic attack and no one found her. No organization with medications etc. Absolutely worst place to send your children. If you actually care about your children do NOT send them here.

Deb F: Very happy with my experience at Alliance PT and I would definitely recommend them. I worked with Bianca, Autumn, Avisha & Andrew who all helped get rid of my pain! They all knew what they were doing! Everyone was professional, nice and friendly, including all the assistants and office staff. They are obviously all happy to work there which is always a good sign.

Susan Walker: From the front desk welcome to the therapists who worked as a team to help me meet my goal of pain free movement, I have only positive things to say about the Alliance staff at the Washington Circle office. I am inspired by their commitment to quality care and personable service to all patients. I highly recommend this PT practice.

George Lewis: Bianca and team worked with me for many months to rehabilitate my shoulder after a broken collar bone injury. The team was excellent and provided many tools and exercises to help me return my shoulder to a normal level of activity. I really appreciate their patience and perseverance.

Carol Deel: I have known Paul Sheesley as a colleague for many years. He is caring, compassionate, empathetic, and a highly efficient counselor. His greatest strength is his sensitivity to his clients. He is the consummate problem solver. When my caseload is full, Paul Sheesley is at the top of my referral list.

Anne Haggerty: Paul Sheesley has always been professional, objective, honest, tactful, flexible and dependable. Having seen him for 2+ yrs now and discussed a wide variety of topics, he is very quick to understand what your situation is, putting himself into your shoes to gain perspective. His guidance is backed with experience and research but he does not get super clinical and will speak in terms that are easily relatable. He gets to the point with recommendations that come from the heart even when he is tactfully but directly telling you things you may not want to hear.

Children's National Hospital: what do users think?

Dannielle White: This hospital has literally saved my son’s life 3 times. He has 2 breathing disorders and has spent most his life in this hospital. His surgeon (Dr. Pamela Mudd) and her team are amazing! All the nurses and doctors we’ve had with the exception of one have been awesome! The one doctor that was an issue has been blocked from ever handling my sons care. The nurses and other doctors were very helpful and handling the situation.

Andrew Kamischke: The Emergency room wait was approximately 4 hours before our name was called to go to a bed. The nurse who called our name said that we were waiting for the room to be cleaned so we were taken to another waiting room. Shortly after that a doctor came to the waiting room and conducted a patient assessment while on the hallway. No effort was made to discuss health information in private going against HIPAA. All of the test done and samples collected were in the waiting room. We seemed to be an after thought to the staff. After about another 4 hours never seeing the inside of a room we were sent home to wait for the results of the test. If a staffing shortage is a problem I’ll gladly clean my own room for free to have that privacy and a bed for my child to lay down instead of the waiting room floor.

Geneva A.: 15 hours spent here, 8 spent waiting to see a doctor, 1 spent waiting to be transferred, 6 spent waiting for lab results. The ER is dirty and the wait times are worse than general hospitals. My sick third grader was so ill he could not stand and had to sit on the dirty floor. I stood for hours holding my 30 pound 2 year old. We were here more than 5 hours before vitals were even taken and my child was placed in a room to then wait 3 more hours to see a doctor. After seeing a doctor in fast track that was not nice at all to my son, we were moved back to the ER an hour later where we were told he would receive IV fluids and have blood tests done. 6 hours later he never received IV fluids and we were discharged with a diagnosis of COVID and advisement to take Tylenol. It is so sad to see such a good hospital go down like this. :(
