Therapy Group of DC: what do users think?

Ryan Scott: I would highly recommend the Therapy Group of DC for anyone looking for counseling or therapy in the DC area. I’ve known Brad Brenner, the founder of Therapy Group of DC , for years and is a valued colleague. Since 2003, he has been hard at work to create a welcoming space for everyone, regardless of issue or sexual orientation. They’ve created a particular expertise in working with GLBT clients. Yet, they have much to offer anyone interested in therapy, whether it be individual, couples / relationship, group, or testing interventions. One major benefit of going with a group practice like District Psychotherapy Associates is the opportunity to work with a range of therapists, increasing your chances for a good fit. Common issues experienced by clients who work with this practice include, anxiety, career issues, depression, couples and relationship challenges, premarital counseling, Brad is continually improving the quality of care he and his colleagues give to those who chose Therapy Group of DC . Highly Recommended! Linda Ritchie: It is without hesitation that I recommend the Therapy Group of DC. They are a unique set of therapists who are dedicated to making a difference in the community. They are sticklers for professionalism and only use evidence based treatment protocols that they can track for progress and results. If you seek help at Therapy Group of DC, you will get a therapist who will treat you with acceptance and compassion and will provide you with exactly what you need to grow and move forward in your life.

Lolo W: Experienced PhD level therapists ensure you are matched with the right person to help you achieve your goals. I have known and worked with Dr. Keith Clemson for a number of years. I am impressed with his skill and compassion in working with all clients, and special expertise with couples and LGBT matters.

Heather Lyons: I would highly recommend the psychologists and counselor/therapists at District Psychotherapy Associates. They are highly skilled in individual therapy, couples counseling, marriage counseling, career counseling and specifically work with the gay/lesbian/LGBT community. Very competent clinicians with a high level of integrity!

Bodhi Rader: The therapists here truly create change for their patients and do so through a fantastic experience. It is clear the practice is concerned about their patients, but beyond that their staff and local students studying/preparing for their PhD as well. If you are ready to solve the issues in your life, give the Therapy Group a chance.

Erik Conroy: Dr. Brad Brenner, the founder of Therapy Group of DC, and I have been colleagues for nearly 20 years. I’ve often consulted Dr. Brenner for career direction and advice, and his sincere, pragmatic and empathetic approach shines through both his own work, and the practice he established. Therapy Group of DC has a diverse group of therapists who work with a wide-variety of individuals, making therapy both accessible and impactful.

Thriveworks Counseling & Psychiatry DC: what do users think?

LETICIA DE CASSIA LOPEZ FARIA: I had the pleasure to have Alexis Harris as my supervisor for the last couple of years. She is a phenomenal clinician! She is an empathetic and thoughtful listener. She always emphasized the client-centered care and helped people discovering their strengths in life. Her attentiveness and professionalism are noticeable.

Jeffrey Rascoe: My counselor Alexis H. was BEYOND excellent!!! See really took the time to listen to not only my current issues/concerns but also this that I have experienced in the past. She worked with me on my goal planning and the steps to attain those goals. I am so glad that I came in contact with her. I feel renewed and refocused!!!

Morganne Brownlee: Alexis have a a GREAT therapist. She is attentive and very skilled in her clinical approach. She is able to use her skills to engage her clients in a way that makes them feel most comfortable and most valued. I highly recommend her for her expertise.

Theo Beckles: Excellent Excellence! Alexis is an amazing, attentive and patient therapist who makes you feel safe when getting to the heart of whats really going on in life..

Tiara Fennell: If it were possible, I would give 10 stars! Ieisha Dale is a phenomenal therapist and a great addition to the Thriveworks team. As a former colleague, her strengths lie in her ability to assess and track sequences, her open and non-judgemental approach with her clients and overall investment in her clients improvement. Anyone who works with her, as a client or colleague, will have the opportunity to see these strengths and more at Thriveworks.

Taylor Pettway: I’m so excited that Ieisha Dale will be joining the team at Thriveworks! As a former co-therapist and colleague, Ieisha brings her curiosity, authenticity, and systemic lens to every team and to every client. Her attention to cultural concerns and her ability to build resources and relationships provides a holistic support for individuals, children, and families. With her thoroughness and professionalism at the helm, she provides tangible opportunities for change and a validating experience for all in her sphere of influence.

Tanya Vasunia: I give five stars to Nitika Gupta, a highly skilled therapist. I know her in the capacity of colleague and have found her knowledge and insight invaluable to my practice. Nitika is a dedicated and well-informed therapist who brings compassion and mindfulness into each of her sessions. Her eclectic approach allows her to expertly navigate therapy session while being sensitive and informative. Nitika has the ability to navigate cultural nuances and complex issues such as race and gender with the compassion and patience it deserves. I highly recommend seeking her expertise.

Romanus07: Just wanted to leave this review for Brandan Vazquez. He’s good at what he does and an easy person to talk to. I’ve been through 3 therapists in the past 2 years (mostly due to the pandemic) and I can finally say I’ ve found one that really understand my situation and background , highly recommend!! Especially any black males looking for someone who looks like them and can relate.

Psychiatric Institute of Washington: what do users think?

Andrea: Grateful for this place to exist. I came in as a walk in off the street because I needed help that minute. It was experience here that the vast majority of the staff went above and beyond in every way they could think of to make myself as a patient comfortable and cared for. The minute I walked into admissions I felt cared for and that I did not have to handle it alone any more. Shout out to Hazel for seeing what I needed and giving me her own water bottle when I had not had anything to eat or drink till I walked in. Margo who did my intake interview was so amazingly sympathetic to what I had been going through. It felt so good to be validated. Then I went up to unit 7 and met Gary who I would later see be a phenomenal caretaker for all my fellow patients on the unit. From keeping calm when someone displayed extreme behavior to joking and finding ways to give us a therapeutic experience. The taker for me was when my roommate had a panic attack and I asked for ice to help calm her. He could not give me the packs they had for safety reasons but he came up with a wonderful solution. Showing again that true passion and care for our wellbeing. Thank you all for the work you do everyday.

Aliyah Boyce: I will never send my loved one to this facility ever again. Please do not send your loved ones here. Worst than prison. Staff is rude and disrespectful even management of the program. This place is terrible. Violates every protocol because they can get away with it. The state should shut this place down immediately! If I can rate 0 stars I would. This is a inhumane treatment center. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!!

Kyrah Ford: Zero stars don’t recommend, this place was very unhelpful and mad things worst. Some of the male staff was just creeps and was doing inappropriate things! I highly encourage you to never send anyone to this hospital. worst experience ever!

Sandra Jacinto: If your loved one is admitted here, you won’t be able to communicate with them. My brother was admitted three days ago and I’ve yet to hear anything. In the times that I’ve called I’ve experienced the following: - straight to voicemail - operator says they don’t know the unit number and won’t be able to figure it out - being transferred to a dead end - person says they’ll take my number then immediately hangs up on me - first time I called they told me that his sister already called that morning. False. I’m his only sister and I never called before. I was successful in giving my name and number once and ANOTHER PATIENT CALLED ME BACK. They gave my number to the wrong patient. This is a psychiatric institute. You’d think they’d be careful with who they give messages to for obvious reasons. Clearly they didn’t vet if that patient knows me. I know that there are some good staff members there but the majority of them don’t care and shouldn’t be in this job. There are horror stories about this place how they let patients freely walk around and get in fights. It’s scary that he’s in there and can’t be reached. I don’t trust this place at all.

Mason Mailloux: If I could rate this institution 0 stars I would. Some of the staff are genuine good people but about 80% of them don’t seem to care at all about the “patients” when it’s really just a scam for insurance and Medicaid. There is no security however there are physical fights every day. They hardly feed you and when they do it’s worse than jail food, The group therapy is a joke 45min out of the 24 sleepless hours in a day. No one in their right mind would ever want to get admitted here.

Jessica Fullington: If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction and/or mental health, this is an EXCELLENT place to receive help. The staff is truly exceptional and very compassionate! I was in TERRIBLE condition when I was brought to the facility. The expert level care that I received made it possible for me to return to my normal life in just one week. They even made sure that I had a solid plan to continue my care once I was discharged. I would urge ANYONE who is looking for this type of assistance to go to this wonderful place. Hopefully, I will never need them again. God bless

Cam N: This place needs to be shut down immediately, no care or respect for patients. Disregard for health and sanity. Food is terrible, showers are ice cold. Employees force religious beliefs. Not profesional what so ever

Mary Moaney: If I could give this place zero stars I absolutely would staff does not communicate with parents of children patients. Patients are fighting no security no control no organization etc. My daughter had a panic attack and no one found her. No organization with medications etc. Absolutely worst place to send your children. If you actually care about your children do NOT send them here.

Columbia Associates in Psychiatry: what do users think?

Skylar Robinson: I’ve been a patient here for about 3-4 years now, and I’ve let my frustrations go far too long with this company. Their psychiatrists are very sweet, but the receptionists BARELY answer phone calls. I once called ten times in one day at different times- no answer. This is the flakiest company I’ve ever seen, and I do not recommend going here for help if you want your medications filled when needed.

Tiffany Yeckel: Great place. Have been working with NP Cody Eccard for about a year through the Perinatal Project. She is absolutely wonderful and although she is no longer seeing patient I know I am in good hands with NP Felicia! Tean, the admin has been so helpful when I have questions. Highly recommend this practice!

Pilar Rial: The front desk and billing dept. (Nick) was very helpful and responsive. Nick was able to set me up with an affordable payment plan and was very professional and attentive in answering all my questions and resolving my billing issues. The front desk was very accommodating to my requests.

luis lozano: The billing team (Nick) was great to work with when dealing with my insurance. They pro-actively took care of my issues vs. just telling me to deal with it.

Leah Stribling: Completely life changing. I am receiving TMS therapy and everything about this experience has been exceptional. Half way through my sessions now and I already feel better than I have in my entire life. I had lost hope after years and years of unsuccessful treatment through medication and therapy. I was ready to give up on trying to get better until I was referred by my psychiatrist to have a consultation for TMS. Tean has gone above and beyond to accommodate my work schedule because I would, otherwise, not be able to do my treatments and keep my job. I told her on the phone while scheduling my first appointment that I couldn’t believe someone who doesn’t even know me would go the extra mile like she had already done. She told me she was happy to do whatever she could to help me get better. Since then, I’ve spent a lot of time with her while she administers my treatments 5 days a week. The words of encouragement she gives, and even the cheerful “good morning” and smile when I walk in the door every day has touched me more than she knows. I would 100% recommend Columbia Associates in Psychiatry to anyone looking. They are life savers and I am so thankful for each person involved in my care.

Emily Forster: I had a very poor experience with this practice. First, they did not record my phone number correctly. Then, at my appointment time, they couldn’t reach me, so they called my emergency contact about my phone number. I found this very inappropriate. I expect my emergency contact to only be contacted during a real emergency. They didn’t even try emailing me. And finally they reached me and I tried to confirm that they updated my number correctly. Then, my second appointment came and of course they still did not have the correct phone number. Second, the medication that was prescribed could not be filled by my pharmacy because the doctor had to speak with my insurance company. Both the pharmacy and myself tried reaching the practice and I left multiple messages and no one ever contacted me. I was not able to get my medication. Third, I had scheduled a follow-up appointment and they just never called. I did not receive any help and I strongly recommend against using this practice. There may be some potential fraud considering they were not able to authorize my prescription and they just stopped contacting me once I realized this.

Washington Psychological Wellness: what do users think?

Carla L: I love my discussions and or let’s say my experiences with Jonathan- he is the best to talk to. I have learned so much from him and our talks are meaningful and insightful. He is a treasure to work with, and so much more. Truly a diamond in the rough and happy that I found him!!

Katie Waller: I have had a great experience with this clinic. After searching for the right therapist for a long time, I have finally found one that I really like, and I have been showing a lot of progress! Love this company and am so grateful for it.

Rachel Ghaman: Dr. Kaveh is an exceptionally bright and profoundly compassionate professional; she cares deeply about her patients. As empathetic as she is accepting and as real as she is easy to talk to, Dr. Kaveh is as down to earth as they come. The patients of mine that I’ve sent her way, have been quick to return with praise, glowing with adoration for the support they’ve received regardless of the difficulty they are growing through. Without reservation, I proudly refer my patients to Dr. Kaveh. I know they will be in good hands and find the help they deserve.

Ava Stanton: Dr Kaveh is a wonderful psychologist she listens very well and cares for all her patients. I would recommend her to anyone all ages she has a sparkling personality and makes people feel welcomed in her space. She’s a beautiful person on the inside and outside shes a very nice person and her team as well. :)

An Ro: I cannot say enough positive things about Washington Psychological Wellness. Dr. Kaveh and her team exemplify all things that a psychotherapy and counseling center should: they are warm, welcoming, professional, competent, and efficient. It was obvious from the very beginning that Dr. Kaveh has an incredible command of not only the field of psychology, but also of how to run a successful counseling center. She’s put together an ideal environment for someone seeking therapy. Highly recommend!

James Bennet: I am very pleased with the services provided by Washington Psychological Wellness. My wife, myself and two kids have sought therapy at the center and we cannot thank Dr. Kaveh and her team enough. Highly recommended!

Michael Widener (Gmail Address): I have known Dr. Dalton since 2005. I recommend his services because I have had the chance to compare his to other providers and have returned because he is more familiar with matters relating to professionals in the D.C. area.

Norman Broudy, MD & Associates: what do users think?

Julie Davis: Dr. Keshwani is one of the most caring psychiatrist I have met. She actually listens, shows compassion, and works hard to find the right treatment for her patients. She helped me tremendously through a long bout of depression. A year and a half later I feel so much better.

Chris Clare: I have been seeing a therapist and psychiatrist here since late 2017 and it has been the best psychiatric practice I’ve been to so far. The staff make it a point to follow up with you and make sure that you have everything you need for good mental health at your disposal. I can’t stress enough just how positively this practice has impacted my life. If you’re on the fence, I’d suggest going ahead and scheduling an appointment. You won’t be disappointed.

Madison Steele: Was recommended to go here by a close friend (who has had a great experience, so they must be doing something right). When I tried to set up an appointment, I was left without a reply for about a week. At which point, I reached out again to ask if there was any availability with the psychiatrist I requested. If not, I said, I would be happy to meet with someone else. They told me they’d look into the availability of others. No response for a month, at which point I reached out to confirm there was no availability. They told me the waiting list was quite long and it may be better if I look elsewhere. At that point, I had already reached out to another practice who connected me with someone within a week. I understand being on a waiting list, that’s not the issue here. The issue is the lack of reply and communication with potential clients (most of whom are seeking help with mental illness and struggle with being ignored or without help for weeks at a time). I saw the other review here said something about whoever is in charge of voicemails / calls with clients should be fired, I’d like to second that & add on that whoever is in charge of communicating with any new clients needs some more training in that field. Leaving potential clients without a response for so long is not a good look. If you are able to get an appointment, I hope the experience is much better on that end of the business.

Edward LaMotta: In the search for finding support, we tried to call several different mental health professionals. Brody associates ability to quickly get us scheduled and find a solution rose to the top out of anyone else. Brittany Winder, Who I believe was the coordinator was one of the most responsive, informative Individuals out really helped us and set the others aside The providers at this clinic are top notch, experienced caring and Most of all work with most insurances which in our research was a frustrating experience. We would recommend these providers to anyone looking for mental health assistance.

Patricia Brainard: So grateful for everyone who works here! Was contacted within a day to schedule an appointment and Dr. Keshwani couldn’t be more amazing. Was able to schedule an appointment right away! I am able to text with any questions or concerns and they’re always on top of everything. I definitely recommend!

Mary Pat Hopkins: Dr. Broudy helped me improve my focus by adjusting my ADHD meds. He asks good questions and is very clear. Members of my family have greatly been helped by a variety of practitioners at this practice.

cheryl paloni: My psychiatrist and therapist are both awesome!! Thank you Dr. Afzal and Mrs. Roberts. They have both helped me so much and can’t thank them enough

Jacquee Lukawski: Dr. Afzal is great. He takes time to answer my questions and concerns.

Da-Wang Wu: I have several talented colleagues who graduated from Georgetown University, so I always want to visit this school. The campus is very beautiful, especially with the fall foliage. It’s a nice half-day trip to visit the university, the shopping area (mainly on M Street), the canal and the waterfront park.

Danny L: Must place to visit if you are visiting DC. Lots of things to do around the university. Great place for photography and sightseeing. Plenty of Restaurants around that area. You would love it.

David Gilbank: I fulfilled a lifelong ambition when I came to Georgetown to see where The Exorcist was filmed. I particularly wanted to throw my self down the stairs that featured in the finale. Obviously that could cause terrible damage, so I through a soft toy down instead. See photos. Its a brilliant beautiful neighbourhood. Well worth a visit.

Mj Dillenburg: Great graduation ceremonies! Except for the 95 degree heat and humidity....it was beautiful.

Russ Watts: Excellent university, superb perspective on the political realm, mindful about the Jesuit values.

Enric Piferrer Torres: We stopped for a quick walk around the university buildings, and it was worth it! It reminded me of Harry Potter somehow. Beautiful main building. We parked outside for free in a 2 hour parking (no meter). The neighborhood is beautiful too

No complaints at all and excellent customer service from the residence hall staff. I sometimes wish I studied Accounting at this university than at the one I studied at. Great school and great residence halls. Highly recommend! A+

洪銘勳: I have received my master of law degree (international legal studies) from the Washington College of Law of this school. It’s a very internationalized and excellent university. I really miss it.

Santiago Tovar: My friend is away at a summer camp and given the precarious infrastructure of your so called "university" has no wifi. He is unable to communicate with friends and family. This is outrageous, its unfair. Please fix this ASAP.

Adam Cox: Graduated school here in 2005. Students are very engaged and staff friendly. Great place to study.
