Dian Stevens: I started working at the DC location of Ultimate Performance in November 2021. I was in drastic need of a reset. I gained weight during the pandemic, thanks to many poor choices on my part, and I knew that I needed to take some action. Ultimate Performance exceeded my expectations. I worked with the amazing Owen Browne. Owen is a dedicated fitness professional. Owen is patient, calm, and invested in helping each of his clients achieve their fitness goals. I felt safe with Owen and enjoyed how he consistently challenged me. Please do, however, watch out for Owen with his rep counts. He always seemed to add a few extra reps just when I thought I was done. Ultimate Performance has a unique atmosphere. The gym is immaculate and everyone knows your name. All of the trainers take the time to motivate every client in the gym. Another bonus is watching the trainers work on their own fitness. The trainers all look amazing, of course, but there is no resting on laurels at Ultimate Performance. The trainers challenge each other just as they challenge the clients. It is a great motivator. I am grateful to Owen for helping me shed 28 pounds. In addition, my cardio endurance has improved, my clothes fit again, and I feel great both physically and mentally. So, if you are tired of watching the numbers on the scale climb ever higher, tired of the mental fog, tired of making excuses, and positively fed up with purchasing compression garments to fit in your clothes, then you should definitely consider Ultimate Performance. Working with Ultimate Performance has been one of my best decisions. I recommend Ultimate Performance without hesitation.

Michail Charissis: Gavin at UP has (safely, smartly) pushed me to work harder than I ever thought I could. His expertise has been key in helping me get closer to my fitness goals. And the results speak for themselves-- I am in the best shape of my life and still making progress! At the start, I was a bit resistant to follow recommendations for dietary modifications, but I think that was me just not wanting to disrupt my pandemic routines and habits (many of them not great). I'm glad I decided to give it a try-- it really did jump-start my progress. Over time I've been able to get to a place where I feel like (as a VERY food-oriented person) I'm definitely NOT on a 'diet', but just being mindful about what I eat and enjoying what I eat. The workouts are HARD. And that's what I wanted-- I didn't want to just be kept busy for an hour. Over the course of my time at UP, I've gotten stronger and been able to gain lean muscle mass. I am still occasionally surprised, and very happy, when I look in the mirror and see the changes that I've been able to make. James Wilson: After adding pandemic lbs I needed a reset. I was considering joining a local gym and getting a personal trainer once a week, but a friend pointed me to UP. Absolutely, without doubt, this was the better decision. The holistic approach of combining diet with workouts is key to reaching your goals. In 10 weeks I have lost 25lbs and halved my body fat %. Make no mistake, the workouts are HARD. After my first session I needed a 20-minute sit down in the changing room to recover my senses, and many times I have left feeling absolutely spent. But they have become much easier to recover from, and the feeling of achievement is insane. There's a great sense of camaraderie amongst both the trainers and the clients that keeps things enjoyable, and the strength gains come quickly so you feel the progress you are making. My trainer, Ali Woodward, has encouraged and challenged me in equal measure. He seems to have an instinctive ability to know when I need to be pushed, and when I can use a laugh. Henry Defriez: Fully recommended to anyone seeking to achieve big weight loss or other fitness goals. I have been working with UP for just over two months, and am halfway to my weight loss goal (30 pounds so far). My trainer, Evelyn, has been a fantastic guide and motivator in our sessions, but also outside the gym in monitoring my nutrition plan and helping me stay on track while travelling (picking restaurant menus, preparing hotel gym sessions etc.) While the focus is naturally on hard work, the atmosphere in the gym is friendly, supportive and relaxed. It’s not cheap, but it’s definitely worth it for the physical and mental health benefits, especially if like me you have been struggling to make those gains by yourself.

Sebastian Bernal: Overall, training at UP has been an extremely positive experience. I was able to increase my strength, reduce my body fat percentage, and lose more than 20 lb over a period of 16 weeks. At UP you'll find a group of professionals who are willing to provide you with a detailed diet, and guide and push you through intense hour-long sessions. Special shout-out to Clay for helping me reach my fitness goals. A great motivator even during the 6:00am sessions, he had a wealth of knowledge on dietary needs, safety techniques for all types of lifts, developed a unique training plan that focused on my fitness goals and needs, and kept me accountable. At UP you will reach your goals. However, it does require commitment. If you follow the diet plan and show up at every sessions, you'll like reach a level of fitness you did not have before. Otherwise, you'll be wasting your money - which is quite a bit.

Alexander Ragonese: I’ve been working out with Robert at UP for a little over 6 weeks now. While I’m excited I’ve lost over 13 lbs, I am more excited how dramatically the UP program has improved my quality of life. I have more energy, think more clearly and am happier overall. Brian Weiss: DO IT! It’s not just that Ultimate Performance and the program gets results (it does... I’m down 50+ pounds!), but it’s also a complete mind and body change that sets you up for long-term success. It really is training in the broadest sense, because yes, it includes strength and lifting, but it also teaches good habits on nutrition, hydration, sleep and overall wellness. The program emphasizes the interconnectedness of these elements with a cool app and a trainer who is always there for you (whether you’re in the gym or not). As for the gym in DC… a totally supportive community where the team knows your name, and everyone roots for one another. Special shout out to Gavin – a first-rate trainer who built a custom program for me (that drew on his deep knowledge about the science of fitness) and pushed me through every obstacle to get the results he said were possible on the day we met. Erica De Shetler: I've been working with Cregory at Leveluppt for about a year now, and I am loving my results. He will work with you no matter what fitness level and what issues you might have. (I have very mild asthma and occasional knee issues and I'm always accommodated without having to sacrifice a good workout.) Aster Y: Cregory is an awesome personal trainer and I would absolutely recommend him if you're looking to lose weight, get stronger, and increase your overall stamina. In the 24 sessions I had with him, I did all of the above! I had never worked with a personal trainer before, but Cregory was exactly the kind of trainer I was hoping to find. He's consistent, patient, encouraging, and knowledgeable. He has a calm and laid back energy, which I really appreciated. Don't be fooled though, he may not have the personality of a drill sergeant, but he will absolutely kill you in your workouts! I was completely wiped out after every session, which was obviously exhausting but also really gratifying. His rates are super reasonable for DC, not to mention all of his expertise and the fact that he comes directly to you and works with your schedule. I also really appreciated his attention to my form and directing me on where I should be placing my weight and which muscles should be activated. (Who knew I've been doing lunges wrong my entire life?) He also talked to me about my nutrition, giving me advice on my macros and suggesting different things to try. Finally, the results -- after my 24 sessions with Cregory (spanning Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and traveling for work) I lost almost 20 pounds and several inches all around my body. I went from barely being able to do a proper tricep dip to completing multiple sets of them in a circuit. I feel mentally stronger too. I went in to personal training as a way to help me develop better, consistent habits that I could keep up with on my own and I absolutely feel prepared to do that. I have to travel extensively for work, so I'm not able to continue training with Cregory, but if you're on the fence, definitely go for it!

Loraine Goldsboro: Cregory is phenomenal! As a female who normally feels self-conscious exercising around males, I have to say that I am so glad that I gave Cregory a chance. He is so friendly and down-to-earth. He happens to be my age and, therefore we related well with each other. He always switches up exercises to keep things fresh, and he pushes me enough to keep me challenged. I lost weight and inches after several sessions and always felt great after each session. Although I no longer have sessions with Cregory, I am eternally grateful to him for getting me motivated to exercise regularly. I still intend to seek his help when I feel my motivation is slipping. I would wholeheartedly recommend giving Cregory a try. It will be a decision you won't regret.

Lesley Elliott: I've been working with Cregory for about three months and have been really, really pleased. He is flexible, accommodating and really knows his stuff. There's great variety from workout to workout, so there's no chance for boredom to set in. I'm also really impressed with how well he manages my fitness level and tailors each workout to be sure that I'm challenged. Eliza Cava: Cregory is a great trainer, I came in with a six-week lead time before a big, physical trip (3 weeks rafting, kayaking, and carrying heavy loads down the Grand Canyon) and he got me motivated and STRONG for the trip! Kela Gray: After a long time of wishing I had a personal trainer, I finally got one! A few yelp and google searches here and there and I came across Cregory. I reviewed his website, testimonials, as well as his yelp reviews and determined he was the personal trainer I wanted to start my fitness journey with! I sent him a quick email telling him my goals and aspirations, and he responded very promptly and had me come in for a 30 minute free assessment. After filling out a few papers and workout out our schedules, I was in for my first training. I honestly was nervous because I was worried I wasn't going to be strong or fit enough for the exercises but I was completely wrong. Cregory personalized workouts for me based on my current fitness level and it worked out perfectly. The first session was very good because we started off slower, that way I wouldn't injure myself lifting heavy weights, as well as to just see where to begin and base my other sessions off. Each session is different. This keeps me excited to come to every personal training session and enthusiastic about getting a good work out in. He plays a variety of music during each session as well, which gives me a little extra energy to do that last rep. During the sessions Cregory gives a demonstration of the exercise and then proceeds to have me do a certain amount of sets and reps. He is always on it to let me know if I'm doing it wrong, or just not getting the most out of it. Thanks to his consistency of making sure I'm completing the exercise right, I have seen a lot of progress. My goals were to gain muscle and lose body fat, and I've done just that. Wanting to make a change in your body or just trying to find the motivation to workout can be challenging for some people, including myself. I can honestly say that Cregory is constantly pushing me to do my best and to complete every single rep properly. This is very encouraging and makes for a great environment. Cregory is a very knowledgeable personal trainer. He knows exactly how to get you where you want to be, and how to do it. When I first started at the end of May, I was struggling to gain lean muscle. (Almost) 3 months later and my shoulders, arms, legs, and stomach have improved tremendously. I originally signed up for 24 sessions to see how I liked personal training. After those sessions were completed, I found myself wanting another 24! I loved it so much that I decided to take 24 more sessions. Unfortunately I will be graduating college and moving, but my time with Cregory was and continues to be great! Parking outside of his location is also very easy. There is always plenty of neighborhood street parking available. If you're looking to start your fitness journey now, I highly recommend starting with Cregory! You can't go wrong. Anna Reva: Bench Gym has the best personal trainers in DC!!! I have been exercising in this gym three times a week for almost a year and this is my personal record. I work with Jon Ponce and really enjoy his teaching style. He is very considerate, attentive and gentle. He makes a real effort to understand the priorities of each client and adjusts the exercises to their needs. For example, when I got a foot injury and was walking in a boot, Jon adapted my training routine so I could continue exercising without hurting the injured joint. I rarely leave reviews but feel like this place is a hidden gem. I really like the welcoming atmosphere, the variety of equipment and of course the creativity of the trainers. I would strongly recommend this place for people of all ages and abilities as the coaches are really good at creating individualized programs for their clients. In addition to Jon, I also worked with Dominic and liked his training style as well. The gym is conveniently located close to Dupont Circle and has flexible working hours.

Robert J.: I was a client of Bench Gym for over 10 years before leaving the DC area in December, 2020. While I have been to countless "big box" gyms in the past, I NEVER felt the sense of family, personal attention and professionalism that I felt while at Bench Gym. The place is contagious because not only do they care about your health and well-being, their professional style and expertise yields results. I worked out primarily with Dominic and Jon for all those years and despite not wanting to go on occasions, I knew I would feel better after spending time with them working out and seeking advice on healthy living. Since leaving D.C., I must say I do miss the gym and the people there. Change is hard. Kevin Massey: I can't recommend Bench Gym enough. Jon and Dominic are great attentive trainers, equipped with everything you could want for a good workout, and they work with you to execute your fitness goals. I had absolutely no previous background in sports, weightlifting, fitness, or diets, but knew I needed to lose some weight post COVID quarantine. Misty Carter: I love Eva and the The Line Method studio for my fitness needs. She definitely focuses on physical, mental and emotional realignment. She has improved my flexibility and strength. It’s more than just yoga and pilates. This is not intimidating environment where anyone at any fitness level can get fit. I love how each workout is different and challenging in its own way. I also like the focus on warming up, as well using proper technique and posture. Highly recommended! If you are looking to improve your weaknesses of your workouts, Eva and The Line Method is by far the best of Washington, DC.

Alisha Dixon: My experience has been nothing short of amazing! I came in wanting to change after a decline in mobility issues. My trainer Eva has held me accountable and took the time to understand my wants and goals and came up with a plan to get me there and I'm beyond grateful for her help and guidance throughout the last few months. Beverly Schwartz: I can't say enough wonderful things about Eva and The Line Method. In the 3 years Eva and I have been working together my hip pain has disappeared, my balance has improved dramatically and I no longer have to lean on a wall when I put my pants on! (Awesome!) Stephen Hayes: I was always into fitness and nutrition but due to health issues that lasted 2 years, I had to stop working out. When it was time for me to start getting back into shape I knew I needed more than just "myself" to get me there. I also knew that I need the energy of other to have endurance. My wife has been with this group for almost 5 years and I went to a competition with her. I knew then it was more about the effort than the " how heavy” for results. I have now been training with Eva for 6 months now. She is very careful with how my body responds to doing to much exertion. I have to be very careful as I am healing from major adrenal exhaustion. Manuel Morillo: I signed up for the six week challenge program with Corey in June with a goal of losing 25lbs. Now after 6 weeks of training and meal prepping, I am that much closer to my goal. I couldn’t make 25lbs due to having less time for outside training, but nonetheless I am extremely happy and pleased with the progress I made and, albeit slowly, continue to make. The program was reasonably priced, even on a student budget, and Corey made the entire process of getting situated easy. Workouts were very intensive and also very well coordinated. If adjustments needed to be made Corey would help every step of the way and do his best to adjust so you can focus on reaching your goal. The added benefit of having an accountability group also helps tremendously when things might seem to get tough. Highly recommend giving Corey a call or a visit, he does great work!

Hanna Haile: Corey is the best trainer I ever had. This program was amazing for me, I have never felt more accomplished after a work out than when I worked out with Corey. Robbie Allen: Corey Belin is the definition of a ninja warrior on and off the field. He genuinely cares about his clients, is extremely professional, and supportive. Moreover, he is a coach, motivator, and pushes you to your full potential. You will definitely see results when you train with Corey. He offers a lot of amazing services for all fitness levels. My personal favorite is his iSpinn class. Forget the bike and get ready to rock out with Corey. He takes you through a high impact workout that’s sure to burn those calories. Trust me when I say, Corey cuts calories (pounds)! Highly recommend!!

Les Frasier: Corey hands down is such an amazing trainer! He pushes you to limits you don’t believe you can achieve. I have tried many trainers but Corey takes it to another level. That spin class is everything!! I can’t get enough and need to sign up for the variety of classes he offers . Bethlehem Girma: My experience with Corey's bootcamp has been a positive and rewarding one. If you want results, he offers the necessary structure and guidance to help you achieve them. I first met Coach Corey about 3 months ago after my doctor told me I was overweight and needed to lose weight. Corey does special classes every month and the first classes I attended happened to be yoga. I remember telling him that I hated yoga and would skip it and come back to his night class. Of course, Corey convinced me to stay and give it a try. I did just that and ended up really enjoying the class. In the time that I’ve worked out with him, Corey has pushed me to the next level and never let me quit. I look forward to each workout because I know that I will receive quality coaching that allows me to burn a significant amount of calories by the end of the session. Corey is passionate about helping clients and is committed to empowering them to achieve their goals. I highly recommend Corey to anyone looking to make a lifestyle change and become a better version of themselves.

Jennifer Cardno: Corey at Belin sport & fitness definitely knows what he is doing. The 6week challenge is an awesome program that actually delivers results! I absolutely love the workouts. They are always different and I feel so much stronger. The best part about this program though is the tailored meal plan which isn’t like anything I’ve done before. It’s not a diet at all but more a lifestyle change. I understand now the effects that certain food have on my body and am more conscious of the food choices I make. After doing the 6week challenge I feel like my best self and can’t wait to keep going!! A Le: This is by far the best boot camp I have tried in the DC area. I have been going to the boot camp classes for almost a year. I have really noticed the change and improvement in my body. I'm a lot stronger and more toned. Corey Belin who is the personal trainer is a great motivator. Even though it is in a group setting, he makes you feel as if you are getting personal training one on one. Corey is original and always come up with challenging and fun routines so that the classes are never boring. As a bonus, he also works out with you on weekends in preparation for races. Come and try one of his classes and you will be hooked!

Anji Corley: The. Best. Trainer. Ever! Corey and his energy and outgoing personality is one of the best I have ever experienced. I’ve known him for over 20 years and his classes never cease to be boring or make my body feel sore… And wonderful! He is creative, innovative and really wants the best for you you just give him a little time and he will transform your body. His East-good SPIN CLASS WITH NO BIKES it’s been one of my go to for the last 10 years. It is so inventive… It’ll blow your mind oh and 30 minutes you are sweating and you feel good and you can go on about your day.

Naderge Pierre: 6 week Challenge with trainer Corey Belin, was the kick in the butt that I needed to start off my Weight loss journey with a bang. Corey's training technique was inspiring and motivating. He provided support even out side the workout sessions. I was able to learn how to change my eating habits and maximize my workout time to get much more satisfactory results of significant Weight loss and body fat loss. Although my 6 weeks are up, I will continue to work with him as my trainer to even go further with my Weight loss and journey of a healthier mind and body.
