Anacostia Park: what do users think?

Carolyn Grant: This is an underrated park, it has lots to offer. I took my class off preschool down here and just playing they had fun. People who know just know.... fishing ,roller skating ring, basketball, picnic, nature watching, walking, playgrounds. Rowing, Kayaking and so much more.

Nathan Lapin: Great trail to walk or bike. Has nice stopping points so one can overlook the river. We even saw a helicopter land nearby!

Margaritta L Martin: Washington DC has changed since I left the metropolitan area when I lived in Maryland It was my favorite park to go too and relax or grill near the river I asked my sister who lives in Dc did Anacostia Park and other Parks I visited existed and she told me all still do

Jessica Light: Nice little spot for a doggy play date

Brian Burrell (Big B): There can be heavy foot traffic. But good for a bike ride or walk sf cookout. Starting to be kept clean often

Richard Newman: Not the park I grew up with back in the day. My hats off to those who made what it is today 100% better. not the feds . everyday people !

K Wallace: When that weather gets warm in the park

Smithsonian National Zoological Park: what do users think?

Alex Pierce: If you are a local or just visiting from out of town, the National zoo is a must go-to location. They have a wide array of animals to sight see and interactive learning activities throughout the park. Entrance is free for everyone, but you should note you do have to download tickets before entering. You can bring your own food in, no alcohol is allowed in from outside but is sold within the park. As a local, I come here for the experience and also to walk when it is warm outside. Parking is slightly a hassle as you have to find parallel parking on the narrow streets of DC, the zoo also has parking but it is $30 per car. The shows are now back, which i really enjoyed this interactive bird show hole I was there. My only suggestions are removing the lines for indoor exhibits. Masks are not required nor is social distancing within the park, but they limit the amount of people in some of the indoor exhibits causing extensive lines which took about 15-20 minutes to get inside. Also, the bathroom facilities were not clean and did not have paper towels. Additionally, there was hardly an security and no one checking bags at entrance. Just a heads up I also went on Memorial Day weekend, in the morning there wasn’t much of a crowd but after 12 there were so many people it was difficult to walk. I would recommend during the weekday or coming at opening if you want less crowd. Overall though I had a wonderful experience and will be back.

Sassy Sauce: The zoo is great and we really enjoyed the experience. You have to request tickets ahead of your visit. You can print them or it can be scanned on your phone/tablet. Not overly crowded when we arrived around 11 am. Some of the vendors were closed but for the most part everything was open and easily accessible. You have to walk a lot so I advise parent to bring strollers and any buggy/cart for the smaller kids. I overheard some younger people complaining about the strollers but it’s a lifesaver during the visit. There are carts you can rent as well but bring your own to save money. Also, bring your own food, drinks, snacks etc. The prices for food and souvenirs isn’t crazy expensive but we managed with our own snacks. We only bought ice cream for the kids and a small toy. Definitely recommend for young kids and all the young at heart. The animals were delightful to see.

Melissa C: You need to make reservations if you want to visit. I reserved my tickets a week in advance. I left my car parked in the parking garage and then took public transportation to the zoo. Street parking around the zoo is limited. Once in, I just took in the breathtaking environment. It was organized, clean and you can just walk around looking at the animals and the people. It was truly a lovely experience.

Aaron Ochse: Really wonderful experience. Great zoo. 6 year old niece had a blast. Pandas were playful and active. Other animals really diverse and beautiful. It’s a pleasant experience and the zoo is laid out really nicely and clean. Perfect day! Tickets free as well but book in advance.

Tiffany L: Excellent zoo and the best part its free! Wide pathways and the best animals to see. The pandas were the best. If you go early it is not crowded at all. Many restrooms and snacks throughout entire zoo. Our favorite were the pandas and the bears. We will definitely be back! The maps are posted but not handed out so print a copy if you want before you go.

Kimberly Menjivar: I love love love this zoo. I had the greatest experience being here. Get there early and wear your most comfortable shoes. Lots of walking. It cost 30 dollars to park your car inside. Make sure you reserve your ticket. Don’t forget to do that. I drove all the way to this zoo because this is the only place close to me that have PANDAS!!!! Yes pandas. Any panda lovers I recommend taking the drive to go see them in person. Everything is section out nicely. We ate the bbq food at the food center and it was really good. Try to get food at a decent time because their food runs out. Highly recommend this zoo. Take your family and kids !!!!

Julie Helms: Lovely shade for the walkways throughout the zoo. Food and drink stations strategically placed so you can get something easily. Smooth walkways so good for strollers and wheelchairs. Some interesting animals I had never seen in person like the ant eaters and Pandas. The elephant sanctuary had a nice interactive facility.

Nationals Park: what do users think?

Kyle D: Beautiful ballpark. Wide open concourses and plenty of good choices (very pricey though but that’s expected at at a ballpark no matter where you go.) Convenient location close to the Metrorail station. Coming from Boston, this ballpark doesn’t compare to the charm, history, and character of Fenway Park but it is nonetheless a great place to watch a game and it seemed like no matter where you sit, you have a great view.

M. Scott Zimmerman: Great view from almost all seats although smallish for 6ft 1 and 230lbs. Food adequate but pricey and varies in quality between vendors. Love the concourse round the main level and the diamond club is nice.

Cindy Luetkemeier: Great Game! We love the Nats even though they lost today, they put up a good fight!! Pizza was good & the beers were cold!

Christian Matlock: First time at this ball park. I didn’t have a ticket and didn’t know where to get one from. There was a helpful young lady at the front that walked me all the way around the stadium to help me get a ticket. Once I was in, someone greeted me from guest services and gave me a first time certificate and welcome pack. Such a great experience.

Juanita Barnes: I was there for Enchant, a winter display of lights. It also happened to be bring your dog night. Lots of people, cute and sweet, friendly dogs, hot coca, and vendors. Personally, it was nice and worth it, but a one and done kind of event for me.

Henry Garcia: Love the Stadium. And I love the atmosphere there! The people are so nice and the fans are very friendly.

Hind KH: I love it. I just discovered it since it’s near my apartment. It has place to gather with friends and path for walking and cycling with the beautiful sound of the stream.

Damien Lawrence: Often crowded but great park. Only 1 shelter.

Cristin Harber: Fantastic facility. The staff goes well beyond what you might expect and the instructors are knowledgeable and excellent with kids. The indoor gymnasium is clean and offers an excellent space for all levels of gymnastics. An upper level has seating for parents. There is plenty of well lit parking and outdoor space for various athletic programs. The space is well kept and a large expanse of sports programs are offered for all levels.

Beth Bolish: Who could ever believe that you can find such a gem within the city. Trails are well maintained by the city, the park is wonderful and when you are there you can imagine being in the forest instead of a major city.

Ree A: nice park for walking , playing with various sitting area, for BBQ and walking.also, you can celebrate in the covered area. I like that provide a free wifi .A lot of 🐿there.

J Michael Daniel: Excellent sports facility for baseball and soccer in South Arlington. The baseball fields are generally in good shape and the facilities are well-kept. The fields have lights, so games can be played at night. The community center there has an extensive gymnastics area as well as basketball.

Live, Love, Laugh!: Beautiful scenary, nice trails where you dont feel secluded - my lil girl loves this park :)

Six Flags America: what do users think?

Joshua Russell: We started coming here in the Fall of 2021 and decided to purchase season pass, they are very affordable. We have come a few times and I have been really impressed. They have different themes through the year which is nice to see how they decorate and celebrate. We have been to Halloween, Christmas and just went to the Fiesta theme. The wait times were really fast or nonexistent for all the rides. They had water sprinklers going which was good because it was so hot! Our family enjoyed all the rides throughout the day. There is always a staff member nearby ready to help which was really great to see and we saw a lot of people cleaning the park throughout the day. I do wish there was more mobile food ordering available though, when we were looking only one location was offering mobile orders, so hopefully that will grow. Overall great park for the family!

Tim Bergstrom: Great place to take kids in DC for a break from museums and tours. I enjoy museums and tours quite a bit, but let’s be honest, for kids, they can be little bit like a church service. Six Flags gave my kids and me a break from the usual and gave them a chance to blow off steam. Our favorite rides were Superman, Bat Wing, Joker’s Jinx and the Firebird. Have fun.

Rittik Bhowmik: Great experience. Strong suggestion is to get the tickets online before visiting, there is almost always a long queue for tickets. Most of the rides were usually not that busy, so everyone can finish all the rides at-least ones, and can even go for seconds if interested.

Jeremiah Gore: Needs another solid coaster as Superman Ride of Steel is great but where is the number 2 coaster? Some good rides throughout the park including a fun coaster built in 1917...The Wild One. By far this Six Flags has the friendliest staff of any Six Flags park... including multiple manager level employees we met while walking around the park.

pam wright: Rides were barley open, lazy river, the pool with the purple slide, the purple & green slide, renegade rapids, penguin blizzard, shipwreck falls, & more ALL we’re NOT OPEN! I don’t understand why these rides are not open. You pay your money to come here, but it’s not worth it because more than half of there rides are not operating. What a shame Not to mention I have diamond elite membership, I pay 20$ extra per month for what idk? Need to cancel that! Update 6/28/2022 im going to change my rating from 1 star ⭐️ to four stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ I came back here again to give them another chance. Can you believe it after maybe 1-2 years the finally opened the lazy river.. Wow renegade rapids, penguin blizzard, shipwreck falls, was opened today. It’s good to arrive early get a good spot, we ordered food it was ready and condiments was available. 🤩 However, the staff there are really young and the don’t know how to talk to people & families. They all act like they don’t want to work.

Terri Young: If you want to be able to ride the rides without a long wait go early during the week.. We were able to ride the rides several time without a long wait park is not that crowded when u go early it was a nice experience 😉. By the time we were ready to go the park was getting a bit crowded....

Shah Md Mayen Uddin Chistee: This a great family fun place. There are so many rides that you will never get bored. I enjoyed most of the rides I took. You can take your kids there and they will love it. I recommend buying online entry ticket and parking pass. This will save some time for you.

National Mall: what do users think?

Warman Hall: It is simply amazing to be in one spot where you can take a Sunday stroll around a beautiful lake and blooming orchard of trees while seeing some of the most important and stunning monuments in the world! I only wish I had more time on my visit to simply walk around and take in the sights. I got to visit mid-morning on a Thursday in early March so the crowds were not bad at all.

Gee Queue: They do a pretty good job of maintaining the grounds despite the best efforts of the populace to screw them up. The scale of some of the monuments is difficult to comprehend until you are there in person. I recommend a night tour. They are much more stunning when lit up.

Leilani-Z: Full day of exercise and definitely could spend more days here. We parked at a nearby parking garage, and by the time we got back to the car at the end of the day, we had logged 9 miles. Beautiful and clean, so much to see and learn about. We went to almost all of the monuments and two of the museums. The ice cream / food trucks are great, but the music they play should be banned 🙈

Nikkicole8890: My boyfriend took me here for my first time in DC and I loved it! It was so beautiful and I really enjoyed walking around and seeing all of the monuments and statues! I would love to go back again one day!

Ashok Patel: National Mall is not a “Shopping Mall”. It is a National Park containing iconic monuments and memorials of some of the greatest people and events who shaped America as a nation. This is called the front yard of America and a symbol of democratic values. This is a green lush park between United States Capitol building to Potomac River. Every citizen of US should visit and explore these incredible memorials like Lincoln Memorial, MLK Jr Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Washington Monument, World War 2 Memorial and the list goes on and on. Park rangers offer variety of programs and activities free of charge, otherwise you can explore and enjoy the park in your way and pace. It’s lawns and pathways are mostly crowded by school children, joggers and visitors and tourists from all over the world. This is where the history is made and witnessed. The American forefathers and heroes are honored here who paid ultimate sacrifice for the country. This is the national stage where people gather and movements take place and their voices heard. Everyone should wander here in the tree-lined pathways and take in the scenery and history of America. There is lot of walking involved. This is open 24 hours and you can visit during anytime and enjoy the different beauty at different times.

Joe Hughes: This was our first time in Washington DC. First 3 days it was very hot and humid but over all we had a great vacation. The National Mall was interesting having everything pretty close together in walking distance. It was even more beautiful at night. We are glad that we went.

scott bowman: The museums are always great to visit. Masks are required in all museums, and there are bag checks at all of them, too. There are not many water fountains and no water bottle filling stations in the museums we visited. Hand sanitizing stations are available. There are plenty of food vendors/ food trucks around the Mall. This Is Not A Shopping Mall. This is the strip from the Capitol Building to the Lincoln Memorial, called The Mall.

Long Bridge Park: what do users think?

Ajith Jadhav: Airport and railway lines on one side, National monument and long bridge aquatic center on the other side, & surrounded by soccer fields and Boeing office & crystal city skyline. It take you into a whole different world..! Must see places in DC Metro region.

Tenny Kristiana: New in the neighborhood and found this park. It is a nice park. You can walk or run or just chillin there, watching plane take off from DCA

Rebecca “Bex”: Stopped here because we had some time to kill before our flight back home from a family trip. The kids loved this park! There are three separate play areas all with rubber flooring to protect from tumbles and falls. Very unique and imaginative layouts where the kids are left to their imaginations in the best of ways. Very clean restrooms made available to the public. Finely manicured beautiful fields and ample parking. Also as an added bonus their are many friendly dog owners with well trained pups nearby that are happy to let you take a pet or two 😊

Jonás Porcar Ferrer: Great park for plenty of activities: walking or running along its 2 loops (the longest one is 1.2 miles including a long elevated walkway parallel to the railway), sitting on the grass (super well taken care of), or bringing your kids to play at its playgrounds. Special mention to the fantastic soccer fields (3) and the new aquatic center which looks amazing from the outside. Parking is easy.

Michael Portman: Great linear walkway style park for walking/biking/etc. Next to an active railway and under the approach path for DCA so also a good place to bring kids who find that kind of stuff fun. The new aquatic center looks quite nice, but confirm with yourself if the long term passes are worth the price.

Mr. C: Beautiful area right on the water, great fields, lots of free parking, very walkable, family friendly, and convenient bathrooms. Some of the fields (they are all turf) need some TLC and have some gashes in them The bathrooms are quite dated and have non working handicap buttons/hand dryers. But overall a very fun family friendly place to come and hang out

Dr. Gonzo: Great set of fields beautiful turf. A bit hard to get to once you past the pentagon. Once you find it you are good. Just an amazing field. Night games with planes literally 100 feet from your head is something to experience.

Aránzazu Ascunce: Affordable. Clean. Friendly. Spacious. Gorgeous 360 views of DC, especially Potomac River and Pentagon. Stunning sunsets. Pools look amazing but often full with swim teams. Absolutely love the group workout room. Kid pool looks like a blast. Easy parking too!

Wade Family VIBEZ: My family was looking for a park that stayed open late. The Park closed at 11pm, it was well lit and the bathrooms were nice and clean. Beautiful view of the city!! Great place to walk your dogs as well.

Antonio S: Amazing, expansive park. I imagine the huge soccer fields get used because the lights are on 24/7 with or without players on them. It is close but set back in by Boeing Headquarters which means only serious, committed swimmers, soccer players and other serious athletes meet here. Great views of planes taking off and landing. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

Huntley Meadows Park: what do users think?

Jennifer Bowling: Like many of the other reviews- this is a cool spot. I mainly like coming here with my 4&5 year olds. We often invite other little friends with us. It’s a safe spot for kids to explore with many opportunities to see wildlife. The parking is limited on the weekends. There’s a few bathroom opportunities just before you get on the trail. There is a long boardwalk with lots of fun things to look at. We enjoy this spot!

Abby Thompson: Excellent bird watching! The park has a variety of environments (forest, marsh, meadows) that support a variety of bird species. I saw mostly other birders and photographers during my walk. There are two sides to the park, and they don’t have an official connector. So plan ahead and make sure you drive to the side you want! The park is very well-maintained and the trails are wide and groomed.

m rivera: Very nice spot to go for a walk and immerse yourself into nature. Much better than virtual world that is trying to come about in the future. Nature is beautiful and as humans we need to step out of our homes to appreciate its beauty. Bring a canvas, notebook, camera to capture this lovely place essence. Bring also a friend who will feel peace and will have a wonderful time.

MkMG09: - park is free. - parking is limited. - have a few porta potties. - park is nice, quite and a good place to Walk around and see some small wildlife. -place is pretty big, could spend a few hours here walking depending on how fast you walk and how busy they are. - seen turtles, birds, frogs, snakes, fish, ect. - lots of photos opportunities. - nice atmosphere. - overall a nice place in general to get away.

Laura Inglis: A couple of different trails, including a boardwalk area. No dogs are allowed on the boardwalk. If you take your time, you might spot frogs, Turtles, ducks, herons and hawks. Muskrats, beaver and deer may also be around as well as a variety of birds. Stop at the Visitor Center to learn more about the wildlife. Parking is limited and there are signs warning of car breakins so use common sense.

Jessica Long: Just beautiful especially with the fall colors changing. There is wide life like turtles and birds to see. The boardwalk goes over the water, which is awesome! FYI: there are port-a-potties when the visitor center isn’t open.

Kelly M.: My husband and I randomly decided to come here on a few afternoon for a walk and were pleasantly surprised. There were multiple, well-maintained paths that you could definitely take a stroller or wheelchair. There was some wildlife to I serve and a few photographers with the most expensive lenses I think I’ve ever seen. And who doesn’t love a nice boardwalk path over water? Highly recommend

Cabin John Regional Park: what do users think?

Roel Feys: Nice park for kids of all ages! The highlight is the small train ($3.50/person). Make sure to check the schedule, as the train only runs certain times of the year. Also, the playground gets busy on weekends, so plan accordingly.

Jeffrey Blander: We LOVE Cabin John. The playground has been an oasis of fun for our family for many years. It is a treasured spot for kids to play all year round. Where infants or old kids, it is a place to swing, slide, explore, and imagine. Also lots if fun to ride the train when operating and plan a picnic too! Of course the Starbucks at the nearby mall is a parent favorite on the way, especially Saturday mornings.

Robert F: This park in Potomac, Maryland has all the facilities needed. There are several playgrounds, areas for group activities, walking trails and lots more. There is plenty of parking.

Jo Jo: Nice hiking trail and nice playground for big and little kids. Mainly stroller friendly

Rebeca Cabral: Cute environment supplied with restrooms, picnic shelters, party room, space for dog exercise, and for a $3,5 ticket you can enjoy a train ride throughout the park.

Ny'Asia Brooks: Was quite fun. Was lots to do for the little ones. The train ride was the cherry on top. And a more than reasonable $5 for anyone older than 2. Definitely coming back.

Bharath Varna: Nice park with a lot of picnic shelters. Ideal for gatherings. A nice train ride when you visit with kids. Kids love the train ride.

George Washington's Mount Vernon: what do users think?

David Cardone: If you’re a history buff then this is a must. Great little tour of the interior of the mansion with other available tours to add on. They do offer a National Treasure tour that provides some interesting facts about the mansion and grounds in relation to the movie. This tour takes you into the basement of the mansion whereas the $2 mansion tour does not. Beautiful gift shops and there is food available. Good for kids. Check out the Inn next door to entrance for brunch, lunch, and dinner.

Rodricka Elliott: Great for a nature walk. I did some birdwatching while there and enjoyed the scenery while there. A lot of open space to have a picnic after seeing the house and grounds. Overall, it’s a great day all day activity for the family. I did go during the day on a weekday so it was not too crowded.

Green Angel: Great services, very helpful staff, good for all ages. I learned that Washington real body was transferred to the new tomb. The tomb of George Washington on the right along with his wife Martha on the left and 25 other families members are entombed there. The gift shop is huge, they are two sides for shopping. One for decoration stuffs cost up to $2k+, another one for souvenirs gift. Spending about 3hours to walk around and learning history about Father of our country.

Darwin Parker: What a great place to visit! George Washington worked hard to serve and improve life. It was amazing to see where he lived, his tomb, and his legacy. Side note- my son passed out in front of the entrance and the staff was incredibly helpful and prompt to take care of him and get an ambulance to come check him out. The staff checked on him throughout the day multiple times to make sure he was okay.

Stephens Basement: I have always wanted to visit My. Vernon but for some reason never did till yesterday. I am so glad I did. It was a very well maintained national landmark. I did think the entrance fee was a little high but they provide a free audio self tour and the tour of the house is included in the price. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I have a habit of asking lots of questions and they had an answer every time. George Washington was an outstanding man and leader.

Diana Hidalgo Díaz: The location looks very well preserved and taken care of. The tour guide we had during the house tour was knowledgeable and friendly. The museum was remarkable too. The souvenir shop is big and has a wide variety of items to purchase. I had a very good experience overall!

Virginia VanKeulen: Went on a Tuesday in May. Several school groups but they were easy to avoid. Otherwise not very busy. Learned a lot about George Washington. Really enjoyed the enslaved people tour, the house tour, Martha Washington, the fifer and the beautiful flowers. Rangers were plentiful, helpful and informative. Definitely worth a visit.

beyondTabu: Nice open area. The aquarium is a must visit, as well as the carousel. Even though the aquarium is small, there’s lots of info provided on the local aquatic life and they have a life fish in tanks to see. Not much else was open though. Def has potential.

Moving on with Old Man River Old man river: The national park service is not on-site at this time. I was told the park information and stamps were in rhe tan building next to the carousel. It is a100 year old carousel, it was operating when I got there. The price for rides is 2.00 or you can buy the 5.00 unlimited rides that day. I got the 5.00 wrist band, it was great and highly recommended.

Eileen Coxe: Glen echo is a park that seems to be a bit outdated. Most of everything is open during the weekends. Its very pretty though as youd want to sit and have a picnic lunch. Its definitely a place youd want to visit on weekends and check out. Its definitely a throw back

CB DCDiva: Hidden gem and throwback to old DC, Glen Echo Park is a gorgeous vintage "amusement " park with vintage mid century buildings, attractions and grounds. The carousel, Spanish Ballroom and shops all give a seaside, Catskill, old time movie set vibe that is kid friendly and very walkable. Free to the public. There are threatres, shows and rentable spaces for just about any occasion.

Tabitha King: Very neat park, especially for kids! I enjoyed the feeling of a vintage amusement park. Would love to come back in the evening to photograph the buildings.

Lou Fegans: Unique historic amusement park, worth a quick detour if you are in the area! Parking: park at the large parking lot titled "Glen Echo Park Parking" and cross a beautiful stone bridge to reach the park. Attraction: small historic amusement park managed by the National Park Service. There is an aquarium ($8), historic carousel ($5 for day pass), a theater, artist studios, small museum with art exhibits, and lots of buildings with historic decor. There are informational signs throughout the park highlighting the history. Duration: If there are no events going on you could visit the site in 30min-1hr. Be sure to also check out the Clare Barton NHS at the entrance to the parking lot.

Krystal Hamlet: Loved being here especially after learning the history. Would be cool if they rebuilt this entire amusement park. But my son and I enjoyed the carousel and the beautiful trails.

Karen Smith: Its a kid friendly park with multiple art classes, music, puppet theatre and adult dance classes with live music swing bands and such on certain evenings. Plus the carousel and a snack shop with picnic tables. The carousel is open most weekends may to October. They have open house events throughout the spring summer season.Leafy back drop. Pleasent for kids and adults. Oh they also have a little marine museum and a short film explaining the parks place in the Civil Rights movement from hot spring resort to amusement park to arts center.

Frederick Douglass National Historic Site: what do users think?

Chris Petote: This was an extreme privilege for me to see the Washington home of such an important and influential man. Frederick Douglass, from former slave to supreme abolitionist, an extremely well versed speaker and brave human. The house is wonderfully kept, the guide was very knowledgeable, this is history at its finest.

Aaliyah Green: Frederick Douglass home was such a Fantastic visit. I took my children as sort of a mini field trip to tour the grounds. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and informative about the timeline of Douglass life when his incredible Family lived in the home and on the property. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the home had to offer, it was marvelous to have a window back into time in such an extraordinary way. I recommend all families near and far visit this national treasure!

Sky Zone Trampoline Park: what do users think?

Binod Gupta: Good place to let the kids release some energy. Its a big trampoline park with lots of attractions but a few were closed. Isn’t too pricey either. There are party rooms which can be booked for birthday’s etc. definitely worth a visit for the kids. Our kids had a lot of fun. Socks came with the tickets.

Kiersta Navarro: Great for kids of all ages! Even the adults can have lots of fun here! They offer a family membership which is a really good deal if you come here frequently!

Siiri Stinson: We were pleased to find the trampoline park open midweek and a welcome break from the heat. The process to get tickets reserved, including grippy socks, was easy. Once we arrived we were able to get right to jumping. There were activities for all of us to enjoy. The youngest in our group was 6 and he had a blast. I was the oldest at 45 and I jumped with them, flipped into the foam pit, and did Wipe Out, too. The teen and preteen in the group loved it, too. The variety of activities meant we could cycle through and no one got bored. We ran out of steam before we ran out of interest. It was a great experience. Staff were friendly and helpful and everything was clearly marked. We’ll done!!!

Mary McLeod Bethune Council House National Historic Site: what do users think?

mary walker: Very interesting and educational. Will visit it again.

Michelle Jamison: Historically sound and well maintained!

T: This place is a great historical site unfortunately ot was temporarily closed....It was still a good experience.

Manuel Navia: Mary McLeod Bethune was a titan of the civil rights movement that is not as well recognized as she should be. Many thanks to the knowledgeable, enthusiastic and incredibly helpful National Park Service staff at this site. The Bethune House is one of a number of sites in the Logan Circle area that are managed by the NPS, and we look forward to visiting more of these next time.

Fern Lim: Temporarily closed. Check the NPS site for current status.

Shenna Wheeler: It was awesome seeing first hand one of descendants be immortalized and honored in such an amazing way.

Pirate's Cove Waterpark: what do users think?

Kimberly Naveros: Took my 16 month old here yesterday and had fun! There are lots of water slides and a sand area. Everything was clean and the staff was really nice. All of the lifeguards were really attentive so I felt safe there. My baby is still getting use to the water but I think he will enjoy it when he gets a little older.

Kara goodman: I’m so impressed by the life guards and staff at this pool! They are well trained and do a great job ensuring everyone is safe. The pool is very clean, lots of chairs, and space, so you’re not too crowded. We got a season pass so we can enjoy it all summer long!

Donna Grethen: This was a nice/cute little family oriented pirate themed water park. This park offered different swimming areas, water slides and a sectioned off area for the smaller children. They had changing rooms, showers and lockers. They also offered a snack bar and gift shop area, that had towels, swimwear, etc. Unfortunately, both were a little pricey. Overall, nice place to visit, children enjoyed it.

Pinstripes: what do users think?

Raja Haider Hussain: Went for dinner with family this evening. This location is perfect for a weekend drinks, lunch and dinner. One of the best spots near Georgetown waterfront. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and both options offer a lively ambiance. The staff is very attentive , efficient and courteous. They have carefully selected menu and the food we ordered was served fresh and the quality was above par. Their Calamari, Wings, Pizza, Ceasar Salad, Lasagna and chicken sandwiches were really good. However the grilled chicken with Caesar salad was very dry and not that great. We were also offered dessert on the house ( Brownie and ice cream) which was delicious. Over all a nice hangout spot and highly recommended for a casual friendly outing with good food and surroundings.

Mark Orebiyi: My project team had out quarterly engagement activity at Pinstripes recently. We had a slot from 4-6pm. They give you a 15min grace period which is nice. We started bowling and 30 minutes in our lane started acting up. The lane mechanic came to fix it while me and my team ordered food. The food is fantastic. From the wings to the pizza we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, our lane was never fixed. After an hour from when it stopped working we were offer to go play Bocce Ball for 30min prior to use leaving. The Manager (Leo) was very accommodating and cover our bowling cost as we well as you bocce ball game. Although they had issues the food was amazing and they took good care of us.

Fredrik Otter: Generous portions and innovative kitchen. Happy Hour prices are fantastic and the location fabulous. Slow service, but when the weather is nice that is only a plus!

Stephen Balza: Just enjoyed a nice meal outside along the C&O Canal on a stunning July evening. Our server was friendly, efficient, and attentive. The food portions (Baked Lasagna and Chicken Sandwich) were on the small side, but tasty and moderately priced. It’s a unique place in a great location (Wisconsin Ave a couple blocks from M St and a couple blocks from the Waterfront). We didn’t try the bocce or bowling but it was full of folks who were enjoying it.

Judy Gordon: I couldn’t be more impressed with this experience in DC. From the minute I walked in with my 2 young grandsons until we left I found the staff to be professional and caring. They certainly care about cleanliness and sanitizing which I appreciated. The food was just delicious- we shared a pizza and scrumptious warm brownie with ice cream for dessert. Do not miss it. The boys loved having the bumper rails automatically pop up when they took their turn. They also loved being able to create various scoring games using animated characters. It was so kid friendly. I felt that the each employee went out of his/ her way to make our experience a terrific one. There’s no other reason to go to any other bowling facility to have a good time.

Bri M: It was my first time bowling at Pinstripes. We had a great time. I will definitely return. The food was awesome and the staff very friendly and attentive. Found that the music was a little loud at times but overall it was a great experience. Parking is underneath and accessible off of Wisconsin Avenue which is very convenient if you are not one to look for street parking. Highly recommend if getting together with family and friends interested in experiencing an upscale bowling activity.

Thomas Weber (halifax9): Very good bloody Marys. Not overly done. Just right. The lobster and egg bruschetta is delicious. Although I would say the bread is unnecessary. Service started slow but got better. A very nice place. Oh by the way, they have bowling and bocce too!

The Escape Game DC (Georgetown): what do users think?

Benjamin Flores: I brought my team here for a Team Building activity, it was great. The atmosphere in the main area was very chill and relax. The chess sets and giant Connect 4 was really cool. The Pirate Adventure was a lot of fun. The whole team had a great time solving the clues and escaping game. I would definitely recommend for team building or just going to have a good time.

Diana: The Escape Game was an awesome experience. We entered with a party of 3 and awesomely had the room to ourselves. We chose the Dr Whack room and we had a ton of fun. This really an awesome experience and the staff is exceptional, especially Hyde. She really brought the experience to next level.

Jacob Jackson: We did it!! We escaped the titanic! 5th escape room. Much smaller than what I’ve done in the past but the fit a lot of FUN into a small room. Cool interactive experience, polite game leader, good hints when we needed them. Relatively straight forward, there are one or two things that I’m not sure you’d get without the hints. Nice rest rooms and lockers. Very neat waiting room. Would love to come back and try more. Not a great parking situation, but hey that’s what it’s like being a city slicker huh. Parking? Who’s she? Amirite

Ashleigh McNew: I’ve played all the games except the pirate one and they are all exceptional. Alex was my game guide today and he was top notch! This location is an excellent addition to The Escape Game!

la Au: Such fun. We are from new jersey and this wasy first escape room ans i was able to escape. The staff is great and helpful with the clues when need. Absolutely recommend and will come back on my next trip to Washington dc.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Julie F: I took two of my classes here for an end of the year field trip and it was a big hit all around. Ash and Alexis could not have been better and accommodating hosts. Most of the students had never been to a room and their audible screams of surprise were a clear sign of how much fun they had. Ash and Alexis walked everyone through the whole process and our game masters were very helpful as well. The space was perfect for us to have our pizza party and booking could not have been easier with the large group helpline. Thank you 1,000 times over for such a wonderful end to the school year. Most of the students fell asleep on the bus ride back!

Emily Becker: My son and I stopped in on a whim and were met by the kindest people ever. They were full that night but helped us book a room for the next night. The room was a blast and our guide, Gregory, was so awesome and helpful. Highly recommend!

The Cheesecake Factory: what do users think?

YOUNG-i The GOD: Great service, hot and prompt food. I tried the clam chowder and salad. It was my first time trying clam chowder and it was pretty good. I also asked to swap the regular salad with the mix greens (no croutons). Everything tasted fresh. Also had a margarita and the sugar free cheesecake. Really surprised at how good that sugar free cheesecake was! Also, our waitress Brittany was excellent and attentive.

Eric Olkewicz: I had a great experience here. We were able to make a reservation and got seated right away without having to wait, on a Saturday night. Our Servers name was Colby and he was great! He was attentive to our needs and frequently checked up on us to see how we were doing. The food itself was delicious, as it always is. Love the bread especially. I highly recommend going here.

trickynic303: Excellent service! Followed DC Health Mandate to show proof of vaccination to eat inside.

Meet Miss Sallyy: Their food in this location is not as good as the one in Bethesda. I used to be a big fan of Cheesecake Factory.

Chanpen Tee: Food is delicious. The staff is nice.

Jasmine Ramos: On 2/15/22 me and my fiancé were having a day in DC and we had a lovely server named Anna, kind and humorous. Brought everything in good time even though she had another table she made sure to take care of everyone, good place for a quick lunch enjoyed everything food was amazing and Anna was too! Thank you Anna :)
