Parking Convention Center DC: what do users think?

Duy Nguyen: One star for the convenient location. Horrible service and management. Why keep double selling parking spots when there’s no room? Parking attendant: “it’s your problem not mine.” Paid $60 for a parking spot for 2 nights. On the second day (we still have a spot paid for till end of night), we left for two hours for errands in the morning, came back and the attendant blocked us at entrance. When asked why did we lost our parking, he said it was our problem that we left and it did not matter that we paid for the parking. When asked for manager or company contact info, the man refused and kept telling us there was no spot and that we could not force him to do anything. How can one screw up such simple math/logic problem?

Angie Patterson: The price was right $20- It is a tight lot. Enter from K Street, North side. The exit to New York Ave. is closed now.

Sarina H: Be careful parking here at night. It’s not guarded or well lit, and my car was broken into.

Dawn Canavan: Decent parking lot, short distance from arena, shopping and eateries. Lot is poorly paved and parking spaces are very close together. $25 for the day, gates lock at midnight on the weekend. Was easy to get to New York Avenue to exit the city.

Austin Gipson-Black: Do not park here. The attendants lie about the price and overcharge so they can pocket the extra. I know the lot charges different prices for different days and times, but I was charged two different amounts at the same time on two different week days. I initially parked there because it had a high fence and would be locked at night, but the attendant said don’t leave anything in your car. There are plenty of cheaper places to park, don’t do business with this place.

Mike Meachem: This was a great experience 4 blocks from the venue. I loved the fact that I did the online reservation and handled everything from the QR code. Th e price and the ease was a plus. I will be doing more weekend events at the DC Convention Center.

Kourtney DeBoer: Nice staff on site, easy to find, easy to park, affordable.

Emmanuel Coleman: Spaces are too cramped, lanes are too narrow. Saw a few freshly dinged cars.

Rama Krishna K: very good except no parking

Elizabeth C: Wish i Could do 0 stars this place was horrible credit card machines didn’t work super bad directions and smelled horrible. It was confusing to get out and cost $22 for 1:05. Do not recommend.

Jesse Belarde: I almost wrecked my truck because it was too tall. The clearance In this place is terrible. I made it all the way out and their mechanical arm that lets you out, hit my roof. To top it all off, 23$ for 1 hour. Never go here.

Edgar Santiago: Lack of signs for paying and exit. Dont recommend parking is this trashy place

Азамат Изжанов: 0 star. For 1,5 hour 22 $. Horrible. Avoid this place

Sergio Gomez Mejia: This parking lot is super expensive. Avoided at all cost, there are cheaper parking lots near by

Maria Gomez: The parking garage is very small, very expensive (we paid 35.00 for 4 hours (max is 45). The parking lot is very congested, the design of the garage is like a labyrinth. We spent about 15 minutes looking for parking. There is limited parking in this area so there are not many options making this one of the few choices.

Will Haywood Smith: $45 overnight is actually $70 to stay overnight because their prices “reset at 4am”. Absolute robbery.

Jake & Maria Gaming: The front desk staff and repairmen are always super helpful. One of the best value apartments I could find when looking a year or so ago. Little bit of a cockroach problem besides that no other complaints.

N P: Took 30 minutes to get into the garage because on the GPS it didn’t recognize the location on the correct street. Parking spots are extremely small and many people parked crooked making the spots even smaller.

Nina Grauer: Iris saved my butt after I had to back out of a really sketchy apartment and managed to get me into a beautiful apartment in only three days. Cannot recommend them enough!

Phun Ten: The place is nice! I rent a studio and the room is clean and spacious. The markets under the building are very convenient, and also the transportation around the apt. Nice place to live!

Aimee Triana: If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It is run by a bunch of thieves and liars. They promise they’ll cancel your monthly parking when you ask to terminate it and they charge you anyway. Forget about getting your money back. They said they’ve refunded you and they just don’t do it. The customer service is completely incompetent. I would literally rather park in an illegal spot on the street and risk getting towed than ever park here again.

Abhi S: Always the best best place to park in Washington DC. Everything is walkable from here.

Stela Patidar: Mice, mice, and mice. Oh and roaches sometimes.

Frank Caputo: Expensive

byron subero: Easiest way to park when I leave the city

Carla Simpson: When we arrived at the station there was a barricade with a sign stating the garage was closed. We had 30 minutes to our train departure. We spent 20 looking for parking only to find out the garage is open, just on the other side. No other signage saying drive around to find the entrance. I guess we’re supposed to be mind readers or something.

Nassiba: My ticket showed an error message and the help center took almost 10 minutes to answer. They then charged me for an additional hour because I entered at 5:07 and exited at 7:07. Somehow, they counted that as 2 hours and 1 minute and charged me for 3 hours. The person at the help center line wouldn’t help. I will dispute the charge on my card. Shameless thieves.

Jackie S Yoon: Finding the entrance of the parking garage was a challenge, and some times, it is difficult to find a parking space...but it is very useful for a day trip to Capitol area to drive and safely to park my car.

Melanie Middelmann: 5 out of 5 parking pay kiosks not functioning for credit cards. The ATM situated right next to them worked of course, with a $3.50 ATM fee. Seems fishy to me. What a scam.

Iris Z: Entrance to the garage is on H St. Very easy to get to buses that leave from here.

Lihong bourg: Very nice parking lot

Andy Canigiani: Charged $66.50 for 6 hours of parking in SE DC. Do NOT scan their app or use them. Go to another lot. Only reason I paid was because I couldn’t parking anywhere else and there was no attendant around. When I emailed them twice to see about a refund I got no response. Iparksimple is a rip off and shouldn’t be used in the downtown DC. According to the attendant I spoke with, they didn’t even coordinate with the actual parking lot. This was the W parking lot in Southeast DC across from the Navy Yard. Definitely shady. Turn and run if you see the bar code asking you to scan iparksimple. Park elsewhere. They will never get a another penny from me

Samurai Girl: We parked at terminal B/C. Parking gate said first hour was free, but it wasn’t. Price was $12 for 2 hours. Parking entrance and around the airport is extremely hard to find where to go. The signs are small, none of them say “departure””arrival” like other airport. And it’s designed for no one to see at night. No signs have lighting. I prefer PHL over this DCA.

Laura Irwin: Loved the prepay parking option. The columns and signs that identify rows are very Shiney. They did not show up well on the photo I took. Made finding the car difficult when returning.

Jason Constantine: Spots can be a little small so park trucks and large SUV’s on the top floor. Otherwise it’s an easy walk to B and C terminals. And the first hour is free.

Harley Que: The changes we a little confusing for a second. But I m the airport was clean. Most of the staff is friendly. I got through security quickly and the food choices in the gates are A1.

Nizar Farsakh: Nice and spacious. They seem to process passengers a bit faster

Spaces - District of Columbia, Washington - Spaces - NoMa: what do users think?

Emma Dillon: Worked here for a year. The common spaces are nice and there’s a gym which is a huge plus. It’s in the same building with REI, a spinning studio, barre studio and it’s close to Union Market. A new brewery is opening in the same building soon too. Cons: There is only one tiny water spout for drinking water for the entire office that is slow and frequently has a line. My firm opted to pay for water delivery - an expense we shouldn’t have had. They do not clean the INSIDE of offices (just the common spaces). This is a pretty basic service an office should provide and over a year without vacuuming etc offices do get very dirty. Also, the conference rooms are confusing to reserve and expensive. You get one free hour a day in a conference room, and then have to pay for any additional time over an hour, which adds up. Other shared work spaces have water coolers, clean your offices after hours, and provide monthly credits conference rooms — because frankly these should be basic services.

Scott Royster: This company is a sham. Be warned that when you exit your lease they say on their website you will get your security deposit back in 30 days then they tell you 30-45 days and for me it has been going on two months with no reimbursement. I believe it’s possible they are suffering from a serious cash flow deficiencies and may not be able to make good on their obligations. I plan to sue them once the courts re-open post-Covid. Be very careful dealing with this company. Hopefully the pandemic shuts down horrible companies like this once and for all.

Ebony Lea: SPACES NoMa has a vibe that you just have to experience. It has a welcoming and open environment that fosters creativity. The events are fun but not over the top. Since I moved here in July 2017, my clients have given me positive feedback about the space.

Loo Joao: A new, cool co working office in the NoMa part of DC. This is in the Uline Arena building next to REI. The place is huge, and has everything you need for a modern workplace: multiple co-working options, free wifi, gym, parking, coffee, happy hours and a patio.

William Shield: A really, COOL, spot to work and a great building

Eddie Smith: I deliver their mail

Tiffany Ginyard: My phone get no service in this place.

Wayne Evans: Great work space

Elizabeth Bandy: Lovely

Westbrooke Place: what do users think?

Julia G: I have been living here for about 7 months now, and although the building itself might not be as new as some other buildings nearby, its the people that make the difference for me. The leasing process was so smooth and informative that set it apart from the other places I have toured. Victor provided me with all the information that I needed and answered every single question that I had. Everyone else from the office that I have spoken to, has been helpful and nice. The maintenance guys are really nice as well. The ladies at the front desk know me and many other residents by name. It is really nice to be welcomed by your name coming from a long day at work. There is definitely room for improvement when comes to the finishes, but they are not lacking when comes to interaction with us.
Response: Hi Julia, thanks so much for your review! I am glad you are having a great experience and had a smooth move-in. We appreciate you!

Andrew White: I am a past resident at Westbrooke. I had to move for work, but for the time while I was living in the building I enjoyed it . I am a swimmer ,so having the indoor pool was great. At the time the pool was open for everyone, but my buddy that still lives there, says that they have a sign up system or something. I wish that was the case when I lived there. The location was great, I could walk to Georgetown for HH. The staff was accessible when needed. Terri at the concierge is great, not sure if she is still there.
Response: Hi Andrew! Thank you for your review! We are glad you enjoyed living here, and if you ever return to D.C., come back! I will also pass on your message to Terri!

Angela Pan: It was a really smooth experience getting an apartment here. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The process was fast and convenient. The place also have great amenities (roof, gym, swimming pool)! Definitely recommend
Response: Thank you for complimenting our team and letting us know about your smooth leasing experience, Angela! We are excited to have you with us and are glad that our amenities are to your liking. We appreciate your recommendation and are here if you need anything.

Brian D: I recently toured the building and Victor from the leasing office was awesome. He gave me a well informed and sincere tour . He asked questions in terms of what was I looking for , what were my needs and wishes on my list and he also listened carefully trying to narrow down the best options. The building seemed very well kept and quiet . Unfortunately there were not many available options for my time-frame, but I will certainly be on the lookout if something else opens up. Highly recommended
Response: Hi Brian, we appreciate your 5-star review and recommendation! Our goal is to ease the stress of finding a new home, and your high praise of Victor validates our efforts. Thank you for touring and considering us for your home. We regret that we could not accommodate you in the time frame you needed but wish you well in your continued search.

Elizabeth Farley: SERIOUS RODENT ISSUE- I lived in Westbrooke for over a year. One night I noticed a mouse scurry across my living room floor. Maintenance set traps a couple of days later and eventually I started to smell dead rodents in my kitchen. When I called maintenance to check the traps, they initially said there was nothing there (even though it smelled terrible). I had maintenance come again and they found 5 DEAD MICE underneath my dishwasher. I then continued to see/ hear mice in my kitchen. Management did nothing about this issue, despite my concerns. The building manager Viktor is less than helpful when concerns are brought to his attention. Viktor was also unprofessional and rude during move out when the building double booked the loading dock for my move out time. When concerns were raised to Viktor (specifically the rodent issue), he responded as if he could care less. He did nothing to help. When you pay a premium price for an apartment, you would hope that management would take your concerns seriously or at least acknowledge them. Viktor’s lack of response made me feel as if my concerns meant nothing. Poor management and the serious rodent issue are part of the reasons why I moved out of Westbrooke.
Response: Elizabeth, thank you for your review. Our team works hard to ensure a clean, pest-free living environment for our residents, and we did have our pest control company and maintenance address your concerns each time you informed us. We are sorry you were disappointed with your move out experience, but we tried to remedy it to satisfy everyone moving out that day as we were aware you were moving out of state. Please email us at WestbrookePlace@gables.com at your earliest convenience, so we can discuss your experience further to keep this from occurring in the future. We appreciate your cooperation.

Nicolas Williams: I am really happy to call Wesbtrooke my home. Everyone is so welcoming and attentive. When I was initially looking to move, the leasing office was very helpful especially Victor providing me with lots of information. He showed me few different apartments in order to make sure I make an informed decision. The manager , I believe her name is Krissy, was very kind to personally welcome me on the day I moved in. Every time I pass by the front desk the concierge ladies greet me- they even know my name already. The maintenance seems to be effective. Overall, I highly recommend this place so far
Response: Hi Nicolas, thank you for your wonderful review! We are glad to hear that Victor and Krissy made such an impression on you. Resident comfort and satisfaction are top priorities here, and we take the time to cultivate a team of first-rate professionals who go the extra mile to accommodate resident needs. If we can be of any service in the future, please give us a call. Thank you for your wonderful review, and welcome to the community!

Jennifer Young: We lived here for three years and really enjoyed it. You pay a pretty penny for your unit but they have nice amenities. Pre-pandemic, they provided a basic continental breakfast daily during the week. Every holiday and summer, they hosted a party for the residents. Post-pandemic, all of that stopped — but when Ken was the manager, he compensated by providing catering, which was nice. The best part of our days have been when we interact with Joy and Terry (concierge) and Taurean (maintenance). These three know everyone because they are such friendly and wonderful people. They are competent and professional. We were so glad that they haven’t been part of the turnover staff during our time here. I can’t say enough good things about them. Viktor (gables staff) is also really friendly and professional. If the amenities worked, I may have given them a fifth star. The club room fireplace and Tv haven’t worked in two years. The outside furniture also needs to be updated (the bites I was getting looked like bed bug bites). But aside from that, we really enjoyed our time here and miss the staff a lot!
Response: Hi Jennifer, we are happy to have provided you and your family with such a positive experience. We are glad to know that pre-pandemic, you enjoyed our continental breakfast and community parties. Thank you, too, for praising Ken, Joy, Terry, Taurean, and Viktor for their superior service. If we can be of any service to you again in the future, please feel free to stop by the office or give us a call. Thank you for your valuable feedback!

maricel abalos: Westbrooke Place is our first love apartment ❤.Staff are so nice and kind. They always smile and greet tenants. Concierge make sure that the right packages are in the right tenants.Maintenance are very attentive, they make sure that all of our concern are responded in timely manners. Good customer service is not missing.
Response: Maricel, we are delighted with your exceptional feedback regarding your experience! It thrills us to know that our team has made such a positive impression with their service and attentiveness to detail. Thank you for choosing us as your home!

Antonia Aguirre Todorov: We are new residents at Westbrook Place. The property offers many of the amenities we were looking for while staying in the West End. Viktor, the property manager was extremely professional, attentive and accommodating when we toured the property for the first time. Viktor provided us with several options and was highly responsive to our questions and needs - he even recorded a video of another apartment to help us compare and understand different layouts. Friendly and professional staff at front desk and maintenance. We highly recommend visiting this property if you are looking for a great place in DC and at an unbeatable location.
Response: Hi Antonia, thank you so much for praising Viktor! We are immensely proud of the exceptional professionals we hire to maintain our community. It is encouraging feedback like yours that validates our commitment to excellence. In addition to our outstanding service, please continue to enjoy the easy accessibility and functional amenities we offer. We sincerely appreciate your enthusiastic review and recommendation!

María Cristina Rosales del Prado: I love my apartment and all the team is fantastic! Since I applied for the apartment, Viktor was so helpful and kind! As an international professional in the US, I can definitely recommend this place.... I feel so secure of what I was getting. All the team was accommodating to my needs and were very patient with all my questions. The moving was very smooth. Amenities are very nice! Viktor and the rest of gables team treated me awesome since day 1 and were very responsive! I am so happy to be here!
Response: We are humbled by your excellent recommendation about your experience with our team. It delights us to hear that Viktor was able to ease the stress of your transition into our community. We hope that you will continue to enjoy our top-notch amenities and the exceptional service of our team. Thank you for choosing us!

Maria Park: We took the MARC Train to Washington DC and the Metro to our destination. This mall was where we ended up. Very clean, nice environment and most people were masked and social distancing. We were impressed.

G M: Stayed at the Hilton here. Close to Capitol Hill neighborhood and most of the popular sites, monuments and buildings.

Rhonda Warner: Nice and convenient parking garages within short walking distance of several Smithsonian museums. A few fast food restaurants are open on weekend in the food court. Public restrooms. Spy museum is located on the top level as well as a hotelWould recommend

Cass: Food court was packed! But was able to get a lunch in a timely manner. I’d encourage you to not stop at the first place with a short line and explore all the options. I missed out going to a “southwestern” restaurant….meanwhile I’m from Arizona. And I could have got Pho, Ethiopian, or other Asian stylings if I just took the time to explore.

Avis Car Rental: what do users think?

James Small: Horrible horrible customer service !!! These people are very rude and unconcerned if you have any issues with your rental. Not helpful at all. Will literally never be going here again this was the worst and most rude experience of my life I was treated like trash and a liar and it’s not what you want out of a rental service. I wish I could give negative starts. Omg. 👎🏾👎🏾
Response: Hi James we do apologize for the horrible experience you had with Avis Car rental. If you have a reservation number or RA number we will happy to assist with any inconvenience you may have experienced.

Kirby Naylor: Fast and great customer service. Always our go to Avis In the area. Also they have great cars! Thank you missy
Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a positive rating, and review it means a lot to us. We really appreciate you and hope to see you at a rental counter soon! Safe travels 🚗 💨 XC

Ahmad Mahir: I rented from Avis and budget at the same location and every time I come they show me love I appreciate you guys hard work and I will bring my business back to you guys thank you
Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know of your positive experience, it means a lot to us. We really appreciate you and hope to see you at a rental counter soon! Safe travels 🚗 💨 ~MJ

Tyler Anderson: Probably the worst show of customer service I ever experienced! First the female manage was rude and unprofessional. Insisted was the problem was my own to handle and I would be responsible for the car not working when it was dropped off! I called Avis customer service and help was a breeze so I’m not understanding why she was so mean. Definitely not who you want representing your company it left a bad taste in my mouth! THEN THE NEXT DAY ! A Male manager called and did not apologize for the horrible service or anything but continued to berate me. I’m not understanding where this toxic attitude towards customers is coming from. Will never be going here. Ever. Situation was already handled why is this dude calling me the next day? This is how Avis trains it’s employees to act ? Like I’m really confused.
Response: We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with your rental experience. Please respond to socialinfo@avis.com with your rental or reservation number, as well as the name on the rental, and we would be happy to look into this situation for you. Tony Joy: After a terrible experience at the Avis on L Street in DC it is important to note not all Avis outlets are created equally. At this one, on Wisconsin Ave., in Georgetown, the staff were super friendly, helpful, and chill. It really does make all the difference. What a breath of fresh air - even in their underground parking garage location ;-). Pro tip .. you walk in via the vehicular entrance to the garage off Wisconsin.
Response: Thank you so much Tony for sharing, and we appreciate the positive feedback. Reviews like yours make our day because it makes all the hard work worthwhile. Thanks again for choosing Avis, and we can't wait to see you again! ~Tresa

Phillip Creed: I was accommodated with last car. Immediately helped my 3 staff and friendly garage attendant too. Other location was terrible with line outdoors in sun in 80 deg
Response: Hello Phillip! Thanks for your feedback, rating and review! Have a great day! ~Susan

Richard Santiago: I booked a rental reservation online. It took me a lot of time and walking to find this Budget/Avis office since this is in a huge parking garage. After taking an Uber to get to this location, they told me that there was no car available. It’s like getting into an airport with a confirmation number but then the airline will tell you that there’s no seat available. Is that acceptable? They just said sorry but didn’t even compensate me for my Uber ride from my hotel to their location. What a waste of time, effort and money!
Response: We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with your rental experience. Please respond to socialinfo@avis.com with your rental or reservation number, as well as the name on the rental, and we would be happy to look into this situation for you. Please reference the social media case #461547 Hope to hear from you soon! XC

Alexandria Miller: Missy saved us!!! After a reservation at enterprise led us to a closed parking garage, and the avis/budget on L street left us up in the air, we came to the Georgetown location. There were no cars available when we arrived, but another customer returned their vehicle as we sat and tried to regroup. Missy and the avis/budget team prepped that car for us with a super quick turnaround and we were on our way. We were in a huge bind for a work trip but she completely saved the day!
Response: Hi Alexandria We appreciate the 5-star review! 🙌 ~SD

Selome Assefa: We rented a car through Avis Georgetown for family vacation. A great experience from booking the rental to receiving confirmation and step by step instructions on how to receive and return the vehicle very clear and it all happened exactly like Mesi and Woineshet said it would. Meridian at Gallery Place: what do users think?

Delfina Müller: The staff is kind, although the leasing office staff is rather slow at solving requests. The amenities are wonderful, although I wish that they would let us use the rooftop and dining areas until midnight, as in neighboring buildings. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
Response: Thank you for taking the time to review, Delfina! We are delighted to hear that your stay with us was nothing short of wonderful. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Connor Brown: Absolute worst leasing staff on the planet. I have had multiple friends living/moving here who have been taken advantage of by the leasing office. They know exactly what they’re doing: preying on young people who don’t know what they’re doing. Helping one of those friends file complaints through DC Fair Housing but I will not rest until this entire leasing staff is fired.
Response: Hi Connor, thank you for your review. We are disappointed to read that you feel this strongly towards our leasing staff, as we treat all of our future and current residents equally and fairly. If any of our residents have any concerns regarding our staff, we welcome them to our office to speak with our management team. This information is important to us and we would like to speak with the residents you are referring to so that we can address this immediately. At your earliest convenience, please contact our office and we'll be happy to speak with you all. We hope to connect with you soon.

Sarah Pleznac: We’ve had a pretty good experience here. Yes, there is construction because they are revamping everything (it was built in the early aughts). Management is very good about sending us emails when there will be loud construction, such as tile work, demolition, or heavy drilling. I’ve lived in both renovated and non-renovated units in the building. The renovated units have less maintenance issues. It seemed to us when we lived in a renovated apartment, our maintenance issues where answered a bit quicker. However, I currently live in an non renovated unit and we are still quite happy. The fixtures and finishes are a bit worn, but that’s to be expected when we are probably the 10th tenants in this apartment. I can work with that. I love the staff here. Special shout outs to Patrick (building manager), Tony (leasing office) and George (front desk) for getting stuff done, and enforcing our community rules. My dog loves George, and he always gives my dog treats when we walk through the lobby. The maintenance staff is very good and professional, but they are over extended (it’s a building with 400+ apartments after all). Maintenance is often swamped with maintenance requests the week rent is due, because of all residential portal logins. Low/medium priority maintenance issues get back burnered during this time, but are resolved in less than a week. I am happy our building has increased security in the last year. You now need your fob to get on your floor at all times. I think this should be expanded to the club floor and pool as well. You definitely should keep your guard up while walking around this neighborhood. We did have a lot of mentally ill, sometimes aggressive homeless people congregating in the alleyway behind our building. It seems they have moved to the edge of the park across the street. Lastly, the community… I’m in my early thirties and I feel a bit old here, especially on weekends when this building becomes more dorm rather than apartment building. I don’t like using the pool on weekends because it becomes a little too much like “MTV Spring Break” for my liking. Too much alcohol on the pool deck, beer cans (sometimes glass bottles) left around the building, extremely rude and loud behavior. This is my least favorite part about living here. TL;DR: Management is great, just over extended. These are very nice apartments. There is a bit of a rowdy 20 something crowd here. The location is absolutely perfect.
Response: Thank you so much for your honest 5-star review, Sarah! We appreciate you letting us know your favorite aspects of our community, as well as the areas that you think could use improvements. Your feedback is important to us and your detailed perspective will help us further improve our community. We're glad that our team members have been dedicated to you and attentive to your needs. We'll make sure to continue to do our best!

Samantha S.: My roommates and I lived at the meridian for over a year. In the time we were there, we had a great experience! The location is great, and rent is good- especially when you turn the sunroom into a bedroom. Management was always super reasonable with us. We were there during renovations, which was definitely irritating having to work from home with construction, but that is the reality of city living. Management was very accommodating/responsive to our request to be given a heads up when construction would be near our apartment and had common spaces we could utilize. We also dealt with our AC breaking. The building isn’t perfect, none are, but the way the management team worked with us made the stressors less impactful. Patrick, the property manager, is especially wonderful! We will always think so fondly of our time at the Meridian. Lastly, shout out to George for rocking the front desk.
Response: Samantha, thank you for the great review! We appreciate your feedback and the shout out to our team members. While we're sad to have lost you as a resident, we're excited for your latest adventure. We miss you already! Best wishes!

Maria Smith: The mail problem is so horrible in this building. It is clear that management has not created a schedule for front desk individuals to sort through mail so that packages are ready for pick up upon delivery. I have had multiple packages not be processed for one or two days. I have gone to the front desk more times than I can count after work around 8 PM and have showed them confirmation codes of packages delivered at 7 AM. Their answer is usually that the package is still not been “processed”. I will then go the next day before work at 9 AM to check on the status and still no processed package. To be clear, this is regarding packages that have been dropped off in this building but management has failed to create a schedule so that staff will have to sort through packages and have them available for pick up to residents. This is unacceptable. I am very close to creating a PO Box somewhere else so that I can pick up things I need like medication, house supplies, etc. promptly as opposed to waiting 2 to 3 days for the building to sort through it. The fact I am paying a steep rent and cannot get mail that has been delivered is beyond me. This is a huge reason to not live in this building because there is no communication between management and they make you feel like it is inappropriate to ask for your packages that were delivered multiple days ago.
Response: Hi Maria, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're disappointed to learn that you've experienced such inconveniences regarding your mail, and we apologize for the delays in receiving your packages. Our team would like to ensure that you receive your mail in a timely manner; however, we cannot reach out to you because we do not have a Maria Smith on our resident's list. When you have a moment, please contact our office so that we may address and resolve your concerns regarding the package delays. Thanks again and we hope to connect soon.

Carl A Dandridge Jr: Very Poor! The property manager is aggressive, argumentative, rude and not fit for customer service related roles. He is not hear to be an advocate for residents. Controlled by personal feelings ???? - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
Response: Hello and thank you for reaching out. We appreciate resident feedback and would be happy to connect with you to ensure a positive experience moving forward. When you have a moment, please contact our office directly so that we may learn more about your concerns and see how we can improve your impression of our team. We look forward to connecting!

Chuck Watts: Convenient, easy bus trip to the main terminal.

AdamHeidi Berry: We booked parking ahead online and it was so easy. Everything went super smoothly. It is a very convenient walk to the terminal.

Narda Nardis: Amazing venue! Great location

Frank Mikolajczak: Nice venue. There is not much draw here other than the open canvas and your vision. The scenery is not beautiful or amazing but it allows for a nice city comfort feeling that is hip and trendy. You can really decorate or create whatever environment you want inside the space that offers plenty of room. There is a good Instagram wall around the building for pictures also.

Dru Crawley: Fun event venue, indoor, covered outdoor space. Great for parties

Valerie Chandler: Terrible event! I was invited to The 2nd annual DC Brunch Festival on Dock 5 and it was the pits!!! It was more like a Sardines festival. It was packed, hard to walk around, lines everywhere, plenty drinks and very little food!!! The free glass was dirty and plastic! Parking a logistical nightmare. I had to go next door and pay to eat! This event is for the easily duped!!!

K Allen: Basically, a loading dock with all of the wonderful acoustics of a loading dock. The view out the garage style doors is of a deteriorating warehouse with an old diner propped up on timbers that looks like it will fall over any second. Since it is all concrete, steel and glass, just add in a blaring sound system and you have all of the great ingredients for a wonderful evening at this venue. Not.

Amelia and Kelsey: The staff at Dock 5 is incredibly accommodating and helpful when planning the perfect event in their space. We always appreciate their flexibility and the versatility of the space. It will always be one of our favorite event venues in DC.

One Hill South Luxury Apartments: what do users think?

Jeremy Sable: Living in One Hill South has been nothing short of ideal. The apartment, rooftop, and amenities are fantastic and the gym (private Equinox) is the nicest apartment gym in the city. The staff is amazing, everyone very nice and easy to work with. If you are going to sign here, Remington is top notch and he has made everything so easy. Lived in DC for 6 years and my year living here has absolutely been the best. Highly recommend One Hill South.
Response: We really appreciate your taking the time to share your wonderful experience with us. If there is anything else you need, please do not hesitate to contact us at OneHillSouthGM@related.com. -The Team at One Hill South

Justin N: You know that saying that you don’t get to know someone until you live with them? As a resident of Related for over a 1 year and a half I can attest to this. They will be responsive throughout your entire leasing process but once you’re in, my experience with them has been anything but responsive. I personally dealt with Chad. I’ve reached out to him in January and March separately to get answers on what was promised to me from las year. Leasing agents thinks it’s acceptable to literally not respond back and to hold off on company promises. In August 2021 I transferred buildings and have yet to hear any updates on my additional security deposit that I was suppose to get back and we are in May. Additionally I was offered a referral bonus in August for referring a colleague and again 9 months later they are continuing to avoid my emails. You literally have to corner them in person to get any update if you’re lucky. This was the same for me when transferring buildings. All my deadlines were missed and I had to stay on top of my transfer when it came to signing my second lease. My advice is that if you’re promised something from specially Chad to make sure it’s in writing or an email. Additionally you will likely be looked straight in the face and lied to like I have. My referral bonus was apparently denied (which no one told me after corning him in person) according to Chad because “He thought I was trying to put in a referral bonus on behalf of myself for transferring units and put in for it”, which is far from the truth and is sketchy in itself to do. He was very aware of my actual referral as I’ve been on top of them for the past few months and this was a tactic to stall more time. I’m not the only one with this problem. It seems that I will get more of a response by writing a review. I reached out to Carrie the general manager on May 2nd expressing my complaints after rating the resident survey as poorly as I could. As of May 11th I have not received response back after explicitly stating that Chad has not been responding to my emails. Again you will have to corner agents to get any update. Chad is forgetful when it’s convenient for him. My days of Chad saying “Let me get back to you” and never does are over with. There are several residents who also had issues with Chad and other residents who I know personally who will purposely go to the other leasing agents. No one wants to write a bad review especially name dropping because of that awkwardness that you’ll end up of having to face in person and/or the ability for the company to work with you in the future. I weighed out my options and under no circumstance how I’ve been treated is acceptable. This review has been several months in the making. Another complaint: In both buildings I never had any cellular service in my apartment. I have ATT and T-Mobile, and rely on my wifi to get any service which was blamed on the “thick windows”.

Steven F: I am posting on behalf of my daughter, who recently relocated to DC after graduating college. After visiting several other apartments, she felt that One Hill South was by far the best in terms of the amenities, cleanliness and most of all, their wonderful team. My daughter first met with Remington, their Senior Leasing Representative, who showed her the apartment and facilities. She immediately felt "at home" and was impressed by how he went above and beyond to guide her through the entire process. My wife and I met Remington, Chad, Joe and several other members of the concierge team when we helped move her in this past weekend. We were impressed by their professionalism and eagerness to go above and beyond what would normally be expected. We are comforted in knowing that our daughter will be living in such a supportive environment and could not recommend One Hill South and their amazing team enough.
Response: Thanks for your kind review, Steven! We're so glad you and your family had such a positive experience with Remington, Chad and Joe – don't hesitate to reach out if there is ever anything else we can do.

National Union Building: what do users think?

Briana Kornegay: Very beautiful inside. Restored and historic event venue space. There are 6 floors. Plenty of space for any type of events or filming. I will be back for the Broccoli Com sessions in April. I can’t wait to see this space transformed. This used to be an old firehouse. Parking is on the street or find a deck nearby.

Melanie White: I hosted an event at the National Union Building and I absolutely loved the venue. The staff were amazing, accommodating and very attentive. The venue is spotless and the decor is gorgeous. I worked closely with Evangeline and she was AWESOME! She answered every question I had and made sure everything was set up the way I wanted things to be well in advance of my event. The day of my event, the staff was very helpful. I would recommend working with them to anyone.

Rachelle Bernadel: I attended a brunch here for the Powerful Women Make Power Moves organization this past weekend. The intimate, yet vintage and sophisticated atmosphere matched the personality of the women in attendance. I really appreciated the room privacy yet very spacious. The elevators and the lighting was also very unique. I would definitely recommend this space for future bookings.

TEDxFoggyBottom Experience Director: I recently attended the TEDxMidAtlantic Reception at the National Union Building. TEDxMidAtlantic had rented all four floors for the event, and the space was incredible! I loved the vintage charm of the building, from the exposed brick to the iron stairs – even the elevator still had the charm of the vintage levers (even though it had been modernized for function). The rooms were all spacious and open, and the layout of the modern leather couches and cocktail tables were conducive to mingling and chatting with other attendees. I was especially impressed by the decoration of the first-floor reception space, and the beautiful large windows and wall mirrors. The staff were friendly, and the service was fantastic. Overall I had a great experience here, and I look forward to hopefully one day using the space for one of our own events!

Wendi Hausfeld: While my background is not in event planning, I often have to coordinate 10-15 corporate executive events per year. I could not have been more pleased with the National Union Building. In addition to the unique and personal space (preferable to a sterile conference room somewhere), it was the level of service that wowed me AND made my job so much easier. The sales and event staff were incredibly accommodating, responsive, and knowledgeable - they were able to recommend all the best caterers and help me with every detail. They anticipated my questions before I asked! So wonderful to work with and look forward to planning another one soon.

Titi Folayan: Came here for the Dare to Do brunch hosted by Powerful Women Make Power Moves, and basically just discovered a hidden gem!! Usually, I’m terrified of parking in dc ( I’ve had horrible experiences) but this location had plenty of street parking available....literally in front of the door !! It’s also located like two steps away from the metro and there’s plenty of parking garages within a 1 block radius. The space is beautiful!!!! It had a very vintage, chic, and classy vibe. There’s no need to overdevorate because the building has very nice little attributes and finishing touches like stylish wall mouldings here and beautiful chandeliers there ... ( I attend a lot of events... the little stuff matters ). The room that the brunch was held somehow worked into a kitchen also and it was PERFECT, it seemed that it made it easier to store and replenish food for the event staff. Also the building staff were super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. They were super attentive at the desk downstairs and very polite while we were in the waiting area before the event started. I’d give them five stars just for being involved and attentive. I definitely see myself renting this building for my own use in the future because it’s located near everything..... Shops, food, metro, Madame toussads, barre....everything!! Like this is the perfect hidden gem!

Marc Knox: Had a professional and amazing interaction with the staff at The National Union Building trying to lock down some meeting dates. In the end we did not get to reserve the space for one of our larger meetings, but they have been really helpful with schedule a last small group meeting. Wonderful space, centrally located, and wonderful staff.
