Barbara O'Brien: We love to visit with Patrick, David, and their darling Bedlington terriers, Shannon and Pineapple. The owners are so welcoming. They have exquisite gifts, fine glassware and hostess gifts. If you need puppy love, this is the place to be.

geeky_mimi: Extremely unfriendly. When you enter the owner does not greet you. I heard two customers say bye and he just ignored them. Then he asked if I needed anything and I responded no just looking because it was my first time in there and he gave me a dry “thanks”. If I could give zero stars I would.

Olga Pina: If there was a way to give no stars to this store in this review, I would. I would not advise anyone to shop here unless you can walk out with the merchandise in hand. They have beautiful selections but offer terrible customer service after taking your money. I paid for a gift item on Sept 30, 2018 and learned more than a month later from the intended recipient that it was never received. After more than 90 days and multiple calls to the store manager, Troy, the wrong product was sent. Throughout this period I was the one always following up--the manager was never proactive in calling me to explain any delays, was full of excuses and promises that did not pan out factually, and to date still no refund. Truly a rip off! Not what you would expect from this type of store.

Stacy Lemery: Having a West Elm accessible to bus and metro lines is great for residents of the DC area. There is always lots more online, but being able to see the quality of bedding, furniture, etc in person makes a big difference. I have purchased a bed, bedding, hallway shelving, a shoe rack, curtains, candle holders, and other decor from West Elm.

Eric Overton: Staff at this store were basically useless and didn’t seem to know much about the products for sale. Fortunately, I was only there to test a floor model before buying online. Shipping was fast with only two weeks between purchase and delivery. Delivery dudes were both prompt and chill.

Geneva: I was wary of buying from this store based on some of the reviews here; however, after a year of searching for the right sectional, I found the perfect one for me at West Elm. I received good service from the store. The sales person was very clear that my sectional - which I bought in November for a nice discount - would not arrive until early January. As promised, I got calls and emails from the delivery department the second week of January and was able to schedule a date that worked for me. The two delivery guys were amazing - they had to maneuver their big truck down a narrow alley to get to the loading dock. They were professional and efficient and out of my apartment in less than 15 minutes. The sectional is exactly what I wanted and so comfortable.

Jonathan Mullen: Some nice stuff. Seems overpriced for what it is. Similar to Crate and Barrel.Joybird is just down the street and offers higher quality furniture at a better price.

Annapurna Mitra: The worst delivery experience I have encountered. I ordered a dining table and four chairs, with in-home delivery. The chairs were sent via UPS, not assembled, and with no explanation despite paying $250 for in-home delivery. I live alone, and there are 7 pages of assembly instructions requiring two people. I have no way of doing this, and am left with a living room like a furniture warehouse. On the other hand, the dining table, which was ready 10 days ago, and I had asked the customer service to wait and schedule an appointment for all items together is yet to arrive. I cannot find a way to schedule anything on the website, and on the phone I can not find a way to talk to a human being. I have received no response to my email. If I could give zero stars I would.

Jamie X: I am a huge fan of the CB2 brand. I visited the store to see some of the contents in my online cart in person. I loved every piece just as much as I did online. The showroom itself is okay. Georgetown is always busy. One plus is the complimentary validation of parking if you visit the store for 1 hour. They did have floor models of a lot of the more featured pieces. I felt the rug selection was a little lacking. And the selection of lighting was also lacking. Overall if you know what your looking for you trip will be worth it. The sales staff was friendly and helpful with out being pushy...another plus.

Nikki Banner: Beautiful store with LOTs of sales associates. But not one does design and can’t give input. You have to book an appointment online. They also are promoting 15% off on their site but they weren’t knowledgeable in store. Could definitely be improved. For those buying put your email in online and get the promo code. Promo code can be used in store

Sha Mar: I love this store. Staffs are friendly, polite and professional! Furnitures are modern, stylish and elegant! Atmosphere is fantastic!!!!! You can spend hours and hours looking around and nobody would even bother you! This is my kind of furniture store! They recently added natural plants into their designs looks like heaven on earth to me! You should definitely check out their new designs, details, their new fresh plans with pots and etc ... super stylish and very up to-date with modern style of living plus the touch of nature which is perfect.

Muge Sherdil: This place is awesome! We have been furnishing our entire home from here. The place is inviting and very cute, but above all, customer service is above and beyond. They are always friendly, helpful and very accommodating. At a particularly busy time a few days ago we paid another visit to the store and we were catered to with such care it is unbelievable. Ray and Britanny went out of their way to make it convenient for us and always kept their friendly demeanor. Thank you so much!

Sara Tenney: I had a bad experience with the store manager. I returned pillow cases and she told me they were used which they weren’t. Apparently my cats had climbed into the bag which cats are known to do and the pillow cases had cat hair on them. It was of course what she should have inquired but it was clear she didn’t believe me when I said they weren’t and I felt terrible that she believed I was lying. She could have handled the situation with a lot more grace. I won’t be back

Brandon Gaimari: Customer service is actually good but products are over priced junk. Bought a bedroom set and the design of the bed causes it to squeak every time you roll over. Customer service had Dr. Furniture come out twice - one time screws were missing in the bed, the next time installed slat pads (why were these not installed originally?). For the price you pay, the quality is not what it should be. Beware.

Anna Harrington: First, we had a guy helping us who like was non responsive at the Logan circle room and board. Then I ordered online for July 7 and the furniture store confirmed via email and when I called they told me July 7 was unavailable. Not good service for the price and wouldn’t buy here again.

Summer Logan: I was working with Lisa (who apparently is the store manager). Her behavior does not seem like she should be. My problem was passed off to Peter and I felt underappreciated as a client. Would not recommended the people that work here. Service is below expectations for the money you spend and management should do a better job. Seems like they do not care or engage with clients. Highly disappointed and unsatisfied.

Kathryn Adamcik: I ordered a couch from here in August and it was to be delivered at the start of December. It was delayed until the end of December and I waited for it to arrive. 1 day before it was supposed to arrive in the warehouse I got an email saying it would be delayed for 2 more months. I waited for 2 months and days before it was supposed to arrive in the warehouse after the 2 month delay I got an email saying it was delayed again. I have called customer service and they have been of no help. They have no idea when the couch will arrive or what the progress is on it. They will not give a discount for this long delay. I am stuck in a pattern where I expect the couch to arrive any day, and then it gets pushed back. This is not okay. I paid over 3k for my couch and am just getting brushed off by customer service, the managers that I have spoken with, and the associates who we spoke to in the store we shopped at. I was planning on purchasing a side table, coffee table, and lamp after the couch arrived, but I will no longer be using room and board in the future. I ask you all to be wary of purchasing from here. I paid for the couch in full and now it looks as if it will never arrive. I expect more from this company, and am highly dissapointed.

Catie Kemp: Love love love. They were a bit too pricey for me to consider when I was living in my apartment, but since buying my place last November I have become a very loyal customer. I started working with Daren to get an idea of what I wanted in my living room- just having the sounding board was so helpful. I have since outfitted my entire living room with them- probably went to the store at least ten times before making my order and never felt harassed or pushed into buying immediately. My mom bought her first house in over a decade this summer and I’ve encouraged her to buy with them too (which she has and has had an equally good experience). The biggest thing for me when I’m spending money on furniture is knowing that a) it will last and b) having confidence in my purchase. I most recently ordered a set of four dining chairs which arrived on Friday and the color just isn’t quite right in my space. I went into the store yesterday and discussed the issue with an associate (didn’t catch her name)- they are very up front about wanting to make things right if you’re not happy. She gave me a sample swatch to take home and test in my space and this morning I called customer care who was happy to facilitate an exchange for me. They are back ordered until February so they even offered me the option of keeping the current chairs (so long, of course, as they are kept in excellent condition). Even speaking to their central customer service center is a personalized experience- I don’t have the same concern with other businesses that my order or request is going to get lost in the shuffle. You can get just about anything in any color/fabric/wood stain/finish that they have and the quality is outstanding- I really wish they were in the kitchen cabinet business because their wood quality, in my opinion, is unmatched by any other business I’ve explored at their scale. Everything is made in the US (Minnesota I believe). Of course with the pandemic things (especially custom items) can take a couple or a few months to come in, but this is far from specific to R&B and well worth the wait. I’ve had three or four delivery experiences with them and each time the employees were punctual, communicative, and, most importantly, careful with my home and furniture! In summary I can’t recommend them enough. They have found a customer for life in me and I am happy to scream my unsolicited appreciation from the rooftops any time! Edited to add- forgot to mention they are dog friendly (with treats!). If this isn’t the sign of a good business I don’t know what is.

Renee Davis: Don’t get me wrong, I love this furniture store. The customer service is great. Delivery service (workers) is great. It’s the actual product, the furniture quality that deserves 1 star (none if I could) our last purchase was the Reese sectional sofa. The buttons pick you when you sit on it and the cushions are cheap. No Cush whatsoever! It’s like sitting on the floor. The entertainment center has no wire outlets in the back for cord management and it scratches easily. And even though the only rerun policy listed is for mattresses I was told (Ginny) that if it was a couple weeks past they would be able to take it back? Do not be fooled by the pretty picture. It’s not worth the price!

Mary T.: Helpful customer service, and wonderful selection. A very enjoyable shopping experience. Would come back! Only negative was one employee, possibly a manager, Lisa. The associate checking us out asked her for help, she came over obviously annoyed with him then ignored us standing directly in front of her. This male associate was kind, friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to help us. It bothered me that she would treat him this way, especially in front of customers. Maybe she was having a day or was exhausted but it was off putting.

In particular, I wish to thank Carl Dunking who went out of his way to help us. We carried several bags and asked him if it was hard to get a taxi from there. He put all our our bags in a shopping cart, brought it out in the street and stopped a taxi for us. All with a friendly smile. Thank you so much, Mr. Carl Dunkin! (I hope I got your name right.) You made our shopping experience a breeze!

Martin Gross: Love Beyond the Bed and Bath. Great products, that foes with any mood or feelings that is felt for the day and night.

Patrick: The people working do not wear the masks appropriately - mouth covered, nose not. One employee was kind enough to put more disinfectant wipes for the carts after asked him to. Cool products and great place to get small sized items for travel.

Gretchen Wallisch: Pillar & Post has some of the most beautiful and unique antique pieces I have seen in DC. They have all sorts of beautiful new items too. Everything in the shop is tasteful and thoughtfully curated. The owner and staff at Pillar & Post provide exceptional customer service. I had a lot of questions about different pieces at the shop and they went above & beyond to answer every one!

Vandana Puri: Loved this store! I got the perfect hostess gift from here. The owner seems to have worked hard to curate it- since every item seems so unique and well thought of ! And ieverything being British provides an added charm. Super friendly staff too, overall a great experience!

Mike Gardner: I just made a phonecall to this store a few minutes ago to simply inquire about english antiques. The gentleman on the phone was rude, unhelpful and absolutely condescending. It turns out he was not a full-time employee, just someone the store owner needed to watch the shop unexpectedly while she was out. I was, however quite impressed with the way Daphna quickly contacted me to share her concern about my experience and to reiterate how important personal, insightful and positive experiences are to a boutique shop. When a business owner handles a situation like this, it speaks volumes about how they run the business as a whole. We will look forward to supporting Pillar and Post in the future and enjoying their high quality imported treasures!

abe peled: A tastefully laid out shop featuring a selection of mostly British antique furniture and accessories, integrated with leading current British brands of home decor, and modern American lighting, all accented with an eclectic mix of old paintings and prints, as well modern British painters.

Dennissa K: I waited 4 months for delivery of my couch and was so excited but ended up being really disappointed in the quality. Please save your money and time and invest in a quality couch at West Elm or Crate and Barrel instead. I’ve only had my couch for 2 months and the cushions are sagging, the material bunches up and is already pilling. It looks like I’ve had the couch for years and it is barely sat on. I100% regret ever purchasing a couch from this company.

Jordan Wells: My family had a great experience. From initial contact, to storefront appointment, to delivery, single Interior Define employee we spoke to was personable, kind, and patient as we figured out what was best for you. My dad and I enjoyed our in-store visit, and loved how thorough Beth was in showing us the pieces we were interested in. The furniture is comfortable, and it’s the upgrade our living room needed. Overall, the only issue we had was with the delivery partner (notified us of delivery date the day before, arrived outside the delivery window, and did not unbox the furniture or remove the boxes as they were supposed to). Luckily it wasn’t the end of the world for my family, and when we let interior define know they were very apologetic that we’d had that experience. However, I don’t hold that against them, and I believe they’re looking for a better delivery partner. Again, this was a wonderful experience, and I know where to go the next time I need furniture!

Thomas King: I was struggling to find a sofa I liked, and dropped by Interior Define. I had a friend who had had a good experience there, so went in with some hope. The team at Interior Define, and the products they showed me, far exceeded the hope I had. I was so happy with the experience, and with the customer service. My rep Aera was friendly, helpful, and creatively astute. She listened to what I was looking for, and provided great feedback and insight. Ultimately she helped me order my sofa at 10pm at night. It was the best customer service experience I’ve had in any design or furniture store. Now I’m just waiting for the sofa - but so far, so great!

Lauren Smith: If you’re considering ordering from here don’t. I ordered my couch in May of 2021 knowing there would be delays, but nothing could have prepared for just how long it’s taken. Customer service does their best, but every time I speak to someone I get a different response on basic things like whether my couch has been built, where it is in transit, and when it will be delivere. Save your money and buy a couch somewhere else.

S M: I am writing this before even receiving the product, but with the customer service I have experienced this far I want to warn others. They have a general lack of transparency and delivery changes from when we ordered it of 2 months to now 6 months. Additionally they claimed to want to support healthcare workers but only in very narrow terms. I asked to cancel and was told there is 50% cancellation fee within 30 days even though production has clearly not begun. Stay far away from this company and stick with companies that value customer service.

Catherine Christine Turner: Had such a great experience at this location! Kirby is amazing and she helped me pick the perfect sofa for my new home. Her customer service was excellent, all the way down to potential rugs that would go well with my color scheme. Her patience and knowledge of the products were stellar, which helped me to make a well informed decision in the end! I will definitely be back.

Diamond Wilson: Poor customer service experience…We arrived for our 2pm appointment and we were not greeted by anyone. We sat around waiting until 2:15 when finally someone came over to let us know they would be with us shortly. I asked how long the wait would be because “shortly” could mean anything. She said 20 more mins. The associate was not apologetic at all so we decided to leave. There was no respect or consideration for our time and I will not be returning. I’m truly disappointed that this establishment lacks basic manors and customer service skills. We went to West Elm across the street and had a much better experience and our couch will be here in a few weeks!

Erin Wagner: I’ve gotten so many high quality items from Miss Pixie’s over the last several years, but today I’m finally leaving the five star review they’ve always deserved! We had scheduled a delivery for them to bring a table we purchased, and Miss Pixie herself rolled up in a pickup truck this morning right on time. It turns out the delivery drivers were stuck in an elevator, but somehow that didn’t stop them at all! We gave her a hand and she didn’t charge us the usual delivery fee to make up for the trouble (what trouble?!). We look forward to continuing to shop at Miss Pixie’s as we furnish our home.

India Lindsay: Store has a variety of furniture, art, and random decorations. Everything is laid out artistically while still being easy to walk around. Majority of items are on the pricier side, though you can find a few steals. I snagged a painted medium-sized pot hand painted in Italy for $12.

Alexandra Goodman: Lovely antique store with some really nice pieces. Prices for some of the larger items were reasonable, but pricing was kind of all over the place. Obvious sets of items (chairs, side tables, glasses, etc.) were priced individually which was weird for an antique store. Other pieces were priced way too high, like $95 for an IKEA mirror or $250 for a simple basic wooden console table (which would have been $50 anywhere else but DC). Overall, I enjoyed this store and walking around inside, but I probably won’t buy here due to the pricing.

Susana Ferrando: Theodore has a collection of furniture with different styles which is great since you find in one place items from different designers. Most of the furniture is made in Italy. The quality and craftsmanship is superb, the design is beautiful and the customer service is excellent. We purchased several times and Sandy helped us with the selection of fabrics, colors as well as with the design in the living room. She is a very competent designer with a great eye for space, dimensions and colors. I strongly recommend Theodore and specially Sandy.

Jacqueline Haynes: The pieces I purchased at Theodores are perfect for my room. Marion was exceptionally creative (and patient with me) on this project. i highly recommend the store and Marian specifically.

I have never questioned the value, particularly when I consider the bespoke service that is attached to all of their products. I still have my first pieces purchased in 2003 for my first apartment. Since then, I stop by and pick something up every time I move. Classic and timeless elegance with five star service. Ask for Marian!

Matt Beckham: I bought a bed years ago and my movers had misplaced the bolts. I contacted this store and it was handled swiftly with the best customer service ever. They shipped me the necessary bolts to put my bed back together. Buy some furniture from this store!

Katherine Vargas: Great minimalistic, modern, playful and practical design. I bought two barstools and within a week received them at home. They are hydraulic so I can adjust them to different counter heights - thanks to Ayman and Tom for their through and professional service!

Quoc Thieu Tran: I reached out to Tim to see if he and his team could help move the same Boconcept pieces I bought a couple years ago. Tim was able to accommodate and the furniture was disassembled, wrapped, and moved to my new apartment. While assembly manuals are helpful, having someone who already knows how to disassemble/assemble these furniture pieces definitely expedited my move. Would highly recommend!

Shailesh Kumar: Purchased "Indivi" sectional after customization. It fits very well for two families and perfect for our family room. Very sturdy and contemporary style. We also purchased a customized large leather ottoman to go with it. Quite satisfied with the quality- bit on the expensive side but I guess worth it. Very thankful to Aymann from DC store who helped us for this purchase and spent a lot of time explaining and choosing the right stuff. Looking forward to few other Bo-Concept furniture in our home.

Michael Nagan: Two big thumbs-up for BoConcept, and Tim. The first thumbs-up is for the furniture itself. We purchased several Mariposa chairs and a Granada table. We have absolutely loved them both! They are probably our favorite pieces of furniture. The table is incredibly easy to expand and contract, so we actually do it all the time. (The mechanism is kind of fun to use, so I actually like doing it, rather than dreading it.) And the chairs are beautiful and comfortable. The second thumbs-up is for their service. We had a problem with one of the chairs almost five years after we purchased it. The warranty had long since ended, but I contacted Tim (who wasn’t even the owner when we purchased the chairs) to ask about it. He concluded that the problem shouldn’t have happened, so he offered to fix the chair for free. That involved replacing a substantial piece of the chair - which couldn’t have been cheap for them. And they did the repair in about 15 minutes at their warehouse while I waited and chatted with the lovely repair people. I guess you can tell that I feel pretty positive about BoConcept, but they’ve earned it!

Serene Kanaan: Very happy with my purchase. Claudia was very helpful throughout the process, and she always kept me updated with the status of my order and delivery. Delivery team were professional, friendly and efficient, and of course super clean and cautious. Thank you.

There was a little piece of fabric that was sticking out after we got it delivered and he came right away to fix it. The delivery was also the BEST delivery experience I have ever had. SOOOOO OD professional! The inside of the moving vehicle was even cleaner than my house! Definitely NOT a 3rd party delivery service and fake white glove delivery. They wore booties when they came into the house, came within the time frame of said delivery, and gave 20-25 mins notice as promised. I would DEFINITELY recommend them to ANYONE! Superb 5 star service.

Kurt LaRose MSW LCSW LICSW: The antiques and the finds here are wonderful. The staff, volunteers, care so much about the items. Here I am reminded of my grandparents dishes, jewelry, paintings, dishes, silver, metalurgy, pocket watches, rugs .... and the iron statutes are just phenomenal. Today I found a 10k gold rosary engraved from 1924 ... with a historical attention to detail that is awesome. The people working in the store celebrate the items as you look.

Sandra Biedron: Wow. Great place for vintage jewelry and everything else one needs for a home or office. Not only is everything repurposed but all proceeds go to children in the area that need help meeting their emotional needs. Found four rare Portmeirion pottery pieces as well as two pieces of vintage high-end jewelry. These were very fairly priced with the market. Excellent collection of dishes, silver, and crystal. Go there instead of doing a wedding registry! So much more green! Rock on Opportunity Shop - you made my heart happy today seeing things re-purposed! The place was packed!

Eric Rajendra: The best antique and bric-a-brac store in all of DC. Our family in Georgetown has given thousands of dollars worth in contributions of our own antiques we no longer needed and then we bought thousands of dollars more in antiques we needed!! This place is a gem for us Washingtonians!! The volunteer staff members are truly precious and really dedicated!! They love their work and make the entire experience of browsing a joy. The second floor has great stuff so GO UP!! Jewelry, silverware, Asian antiques, porcelain, etc! You won’t be disappointed. You need to return weekly as new consignments and donations come all the time!! Trust me.

Randolph Lopez: Question the authenticity of the antiques and antiquities. Do not be misled. I was foolish enough to believe the descriptions that were displayed on the Asian pieces and the purity of some silver pieces that I purchased. I am not a seasoned collector. I only depend on the honesty of people; especially those associated with a “Christian” charity.

Tom Preston: Prices are too high, often higher than the antiques shops in the neighborhood. No bargains unfortunately. And reductions are not per standard consignment shops- only 20% every 60 days instead of every 30 days. Not sure how they stay in business TBH.

A. Greenough Dodd: Huge fan of this nonprofit consignment shop (aka The "Op Shop"!) that benefits the needs of DC area children. Always great finds, but definitely allow time to peruse the many items. Well-worth the search!

Angela Van: Clean and organized decor consignment purchase structure (can see how the price drops by date). Always find something when I go in. Unfortunately, they just re-organized downstairs so the bulk is upstairs--no elevator.

Jonathan Fuhrman: Nice place for antiques. Everything has a date it came in and gets marked down every month. Prices are a bit high, but not outrageous.

Loni Cohen: My husband and I went to Pottery Barn this morning with our toddler in tow. We had a fairly clear idea of what we wanted in a living room set and the budget we wanted to stick to. This was the 7th furniture store we visited and finally found just what we were looking for. PROS: This location has two floors with a good number of sofa sets available to test drive and numerous options for fabric. We loved having the ability to customize the furniture to make it exactly what we were looking for at a price we could feel good about (different fabrics have different price tags). We were assisted by Kassie, who was very personable, professional, and extremely helpful. She made the experience of customizing the living room set easy, enjoyable, and kept us in our budget! We will definitely work with her for all of our future purchases. CONS: Yes, this gorgeous furniture comes with a price tag (you get what you pay for, right?), BUT we were very lucky to purchase during a 25% off promotion, which made the price very affordable so look for the sales/ sign up for their emails. Also, I could certainly see what some customers have complained about regarding staff. Some of the staff seemed a little snooty and would walk right past us without a greeting or offering assistance. Again, Kassie was not like that at all, so just look for an associate who seems happy to help. Finally, Pottery Barn Kids is completely separate and unable to combine orders with PB so you will pay twice for shipping if you order from both. OVERALL, we will definitely shop here again and would recommend PB Bathesda to our friends.

But space is a at premium in Bethesda :) The store is sometimes not adequately staffed - specially afternoons on weekdays. And getting help right away can be a challenge. But the staff is friendly and always willing to help. On our most recent visit, we needed help buying a bed headboard and frame we the folks here helped us out making a selection. We wanted to checkout the swatches for the beds and the salesperson was very patient and answered all our questions! We like the quality of their products and appreciate the customer service :)

Paige Raborn: Spread my ashes at this Anthro! (Only half joking.) Somehow an extremely well organized store despite its massive size, Georgetown Anthropologie has the best items and even better associates! The wonderful and hilarious Camila helped me make a few style decisions, and she is incredibly intuitive about personal taste and sizing. I will definitely be coming back the next time I visit DC.

Lion King: My all time favorite shopping place in the U. S.! Quiet and full of beautiful stuffs! D.C branch is one of the best one, the people work there are nice and beautiful, will help you find the things you want especially the one in the shoes area, we didn’t try shoes but she gave us some advices on coat!
