Elena Christinne: Affordable prices. Lots of options on the deli section. For a visitor is a great location to grab and go some breakfast or lunch.

Dave Schubert: Nice upscale store. Nicer than their other stores. Be sure parking stub gets validated correctly if you are in the basement garage. Scanner issues for me ... I had to go back to avoid $15 requested at the gate.

Khalil Abrams: The second lady at the deli was getting so agitated by me questioning that the .25 lb of grilled vegetables was not equal to the 2lb label other lady put on my container. Weird right? Then she tried to justify it by looking at the unit price of 1.77 per lb and stating that’s how much it weighs. Mind you there is only a quarter pound of vegetables in the container. Again, it just goes to how people can be untrained and be on the verge of a mental breakdown instead of listening to a customer. I called the store beforehand and got a dial tone the first go round and the second time around, I explained to customer service person that the situation and she takes my container over to the deli and I guess she was confused as to what the issue because the label on the small container clearly shows 2 lbs. Thus, the deli person becomes startled and wanted to basically yell at me for coming to them with a correctable issue. Food bar looked dilapidated with chicken fingers looking that sat for over 5+ hours. The best part is I overhead them say that two other deli employees called out that day. I wonder why?

Jorden Van Etten: My new grocery store. Very close to my house. It's got everything you could need. Big, clean, and fresh delicious food. I'll be coming here a few times a week. Very pleased with my first visit

Madeleine Richter-Atkinson: Fewer choices than other Safeways, especially in the fresh foods aisle. Often what's available is organic. A second star knocked because I've been to an HEB and generally have a qualm with grocery stores wrapping individual cucumbers in plastic, not providing options for locally grown produce and local products of other forms, and not providing at least one uncooked tortilla option.

Loren Stanford: This place is disgusting and apathetic. While in line checking out, with jazz music playing on a speaker, I observed a woman walk past me with a dog on a leash and proceed around open food to go to Starbucks. The problem is the dog was NOT designated as a service animal. To be designated as a service animal, there is training and licensing and the dog is to wear it as a part of them. To leash a dog and “call” it an service animal is rude and disgusting. When I alerted the security guard from Wolf security that he allowed her to enter with a dog around food he looked at me and shook his head. When I went to the front desk to alert the front end manager, her response was we have a sign and once we tell them it has be a service animal and they reply it is one, there’s nothing we can do by law. Umm. No the fact that it does not have appropriate gear deems it not a service dog and it and the person carrying the leash should not be allowed in the store. The fact that they scoffed at me as why do I care shows that they lack any integrity in food safety. This was the deli and salad bar!!! Disgusting, they should be reprimanded and no do without PROPER SERVICE DOG ATTIRE SHOULD ENTER. I’m calling Dcra next to report to them too!

Jonathan Taylor: Meh. Not a bad shop, but never buy vegetables or meat without checking the Sellby date. Bonus tip: check the wine shelves for hidden gems. A 6 bottle purchase with membership unlocks an extra discount.

Ross Auer: Yet another pathetic experience at the deli counter (from whoever was working at 10:30am June 19). I needed a pound of sliced provolone cheese from the deli and the girl at the counter outright refused to do it because she was FaceTiming with somebody on her phone. She actually said she would not help me and that I should go the the packaged cheese isle and find something or just leave. Unfortunately this isn't too out of the normal for the deli counter here. How do these people get and keep their jobs?

gaetan spurgin: Close to the wharf, its a safeway.... so real in your expectations.... Artea seems like it would be better served with a whole foods, but this thrifty store is an easy walk from the wharf and a good place to pick up essentials if your staying in town

Kevin Perry: I'll keep this short. 1...I repeat...1...person working the entire deli, bakery, and pizza area. The lines are 10 deep and no one is helping. The store is extremely disorganized with tones of beggers and homeless outfront despite there being special police everywhere.

Kev- keepingitreal: This Giant Food Store is pretty big and they offer a variety of different items. The prices are somewhat reasonable. The staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly. This location was clean and offers a convenient parking garage across the street with a 2 hours validated parking stamped from Giant Food Store.

Sassy Sauce: The stores produce is always fresh and it’s so stimulating for the eye. I love the vibrant colors and the selection is pretty good. I like the selection of organic products too. They have an entire aisle devoted to organic foods. They have a large selection of beers and wines. It’s always something new to try. The pharmacy is good too. They pharmacists are always friendly and willing to help. The self check out lines can get a little long on the weekends but they move quickly.

Doralicia Farmer: Giant Foods was crowded as usual, but that's a good thing because Giant Food & Pharmacy is actually the only large grocery chain that is I'd say I restocked and lots of friendly customer service workers to assist anytime. Giant has everything daily fresh baked breads& scones, French butter tea biscuits. The fruits & vegetables are beautiful large varieties in the Organic section as well. Check out the seafood & meat dept. Giant's prices are very reasonable. Giant Food & Pharmacy well stocked to meet all of your needs. So visit the Shaw neighborhood Giant Foods & Pharmacy they earn top recognition from me and many others.

Mark Pietrzykoski: I love "My Giant", produce is ways fresh and well stocked, the place, yes even the men's room is very clean. The staff is delightful. Car parking is free with validation.

T T: The customer service that S.Niya shows to Giant customers is unacceptable. 2376 18 78 116 store:2376 I want everyone in the community to Please report your experiences of rude supernova behavior that S.Niya has. Her demeanor is confrontational and does not look good for Giant to allow such behavior. Also when I asked to speak to the Manager Jerome Debrew he came over and repeated very arrogantly, short and dry that I could not get a refund that I had to go to Customer Service. I did notice a difference in Mr. Debrews behavior today, he normally communicates and has customer service skills. Today my opinion of him is that he inappropriately favors S. Niya and had to prove something to her I guess. This is why she blatantly shows poor customer care to Giants faithful customers. I could have got LOUD and gave her the same energy back but today I was taking Michelle Obama's advice...Go High......{today} because S. Niya is definitely low in spirit..... Also I have had items removed by the cashier even if they called over someone to assist............. Customer Service 5 stars for the young lady with the glasses working today 1/18/22 3:58pm..what a joy it is to experience someone who knows how to talk to people...When I told her my issues of the cashier not giving me time to use my Giant card she explained to me that even though I didn't use my card today none of my items were on sale. The young lady explained that if I would have missed a discount I could see it at the bottom of my receipt. I had so much clarity encountering her. This is what the Manager Jerome could have explained if he took the time to ask me my issue as customer service clerk did but instead he backs up a poor incompetent associate. Overall I find the behaviors very strange today and feel S. Niya and others who have poor communication services are not healthy team members of Giant O street team. District Managers your glass on the O street side needs to be repaired. Maybe replace your Manager and lack luster associates along with the new glass... TT

Kenneth Emerson: Good clean grocery store. They've been out of business in Virginia. Nice to see them still around here.

Your Helpful Wendy: I like how they have a big variety of products and also they have their own brand which was cheaper than the regular ones. Everyone working here is amazing and this location of safeway also has a Starbucks in it. You can ask customer service for the Safeway card and this way you can get extra offers and good deals.

Aida Willis: The music will make you want to dance and the staff are humble and friendly.

Roman Pope: Right in the middle of the city, you can find a respite for grocery shopping. It's your standard run of the mill American grocery store where you can find about anything you would expect. The food and brands do seem to have the premium quality to it. The selection is very large for smack in the middle of the city across three busy main roads store. Don't forget that bags are 5 cents each by law in DC, but this does tend to make you witness some bag fights and drama.

Pamela Johnson: Great place if you're looking for a quick lunch and dinner. The Deli has a great variety of foods, ask for Vincent. Vincent is very knowledgeable, professional, polite, and will always greet you with a smile 😃 Thank you Mr Vincent for assisting me with great low calories foods 😋 The whole store is 👍 Thank you Safeway 😊

Naomi Rich: Update: I did as Safeway commented, which was just for show. The only feedback from contacting them via their website was the generic auto reply. Worst Safeway I’ve been to in any state. Worst customer service, poor/no attention to COVID cleanliness throughout the pandemic, and ALL staff I’ve interacted with at checkout act as if scanning your groceries are a burden. Sorry if Safeway treats your horribly, they charge enough to pay you more. If you have any issues or questions, you will never be helped and will actually be made to feel like a problem. A manager literally got upset for me commenting that my Safeway card didn’t work. I truly wish this wasn’t the closest market, when I can I walk two miles to avoid it.

Isabel Moris: Attempted to do grocery pickup at this location because of COVID; the phone for pickup was going straight to voicemail (it had not been set up properly). Attendants did not provide good service 1.they asked us to go inside to the main checkout area 2. they did not let us finish saying what we needed before instructing us to walk to another spot in the store If you can choose another location. If you are COVID conscious or need extra assistance this is not the store for you.

Andrea Skeete: I sometimes shop here when I am visiting my Son in DC. Very clean and well kept. Some of the staff aren't as nice as others. It's very rude when you come in and say hello and do not get acknowledged. You can't deal with the public and walk around with an attitude and long face, just not professional at all. This is why I rated it just okay.

Mary Lewis: The fact that I waited in the customer service line for 30 minutes today? With no one at the counter?? Is just the tip of the iceberg for the horrible service that’s always being shared at this location! A COMPLETE HORROR ! This is not the first time! I called the store 3 times and being disconnected and hung up on! …. The drive up and go persons were soooooooooo busy with Drive up and go that they couldn’t even answer a question for me! The person at self checkout also Walked passed me as if I was never there! Thank GOD when the manager finally came? She was polite and courteous! No one paged her! They let me stand at the counter for 30 entire minutes!….this is my second unsatisfactory experience here! The first time I complained I never got a call from A leader on store level or a District leader! City vista? At this point? Hechinger mall and Minn Ave are delivering a better experience than you al! And we allllllll know how ratchet those stores are! Hopefully this feedback helps front end service to improve because professionalism, morale, and common humanity lack big time in this HORROR of a store

Kevin W: Absolutely Horrible grocery pickup customer service ive ever encountered. On Friday, 04/22/2022 I came to pick up an order for pick up. I called the number 7 times and there was no answer. After waiting over 20 mins I then walked in the store and spoke to someone at customer service and told them about the issue at hand then someone was able to come and fulfill the order. Upon receiving the order in my trunk, I then checked for the accuracy of the order. Upon confirming everything that was ordered I noticed the watermelon that I ordered was turned over in my trunk. I took that watermelon inside and had to get it switched out. As of today, 04/24/2022 I ran into another issue with my pickup order that was placed earlier today. I drove up to pick up number parking slot number 1. I called the number and then once again there was no answer. I then call my wife and asked her to give the store a call and let them know that I have arrived and what pick up spot I am in. Upon my wife calling at 6:03 pm she was told by a young lady that they do not drop off in the pick up spot and that I needed to go to the loading dock and walk up the dock to receive my groceries that I ordered.This is piss poor customer service and I hope Safeway makes the necessary changes moving forward to work better with their grocery pack up customers.

Stuart Miles-McLean: The store is a lot bigger than it appears from the outside. It's really all on the 2nd floor -- has an elevator, escalator, and stairs to get up there from the Wisconsin Avenue street entrance. It's huge inside -- has an in-store Starbucks, a place for people to sit down and eat at tables.

Greg n Marc: Store overall is fine, it's a grocery store. Typically well stocked and find what we need. However, the checkout staff could benefit from some customer service and how to be friendly and welcoming classes.

Margo Vandenbroucke: Always make sure to check expiration dates here! These wraps were bought yesterday (6/5) but expired 5/18. Not the first time either, they just throw the new items on top :) Be especially careful in the bakery section with bread etc., sometimes there’s mold.

David Curtis: Not 24hrs. I had to work late & get groceries otw home. Doors are open, people stocking, so I shop & then get told at the register that they stop running 1am-1:45am to count money. I have to wait 25 minutes to check out. Clerk told me I could shop some more. I should have gone to Giant in Bethesda. Have half a mind to just ditch the cart and go.

Bradford Smith: They close all registers in the middle of the night without telling anyone. Store staff watched me shop for half an hour until I couldn’t check out and was told I’d have to wait 45 mins. If this happens every night- put it on the web - on the door frame - close the store - tell the customers - do anything - what a negligent waste of time. Response to the response from owner: Please give me the exact web address and person I should talk to. Largely asking me to look up your national company and talk to a PR rep is both a waste of my time and a lack of locally caring about this issue. Please provide the local manager contact info - it's on you as an owner to follow up with this, asking me to do so is irresponsive and uncaring. Carlos John Camacho: Standard grocery store. I wish they had a larger asian and latino section like some of the other grocery stores around dc, but i guess that comes with the location. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Alan Walmsley: I've done a lot of shopping at the Georgetown Safeway and have got good produce at competitive prices. The aisles are well laid out and features a whole row of imported goods. No Vegemite though. The fresh produce can get a bit scarce by evening on some days, especially weekends. Staff are always friendly and cheerful; this is most appreciated. Excellent cheeses and lovely candles. There's a wine and beer (including cold) section with good choice. Youngsters have to show ID but oldies like me get offers of help to carry stuff: that's the difference 😑

James Douglass: The "Social Safeway", as it is still a place to commonly run into people you will know while shopping. It it underwent a major renovation years ago, moving the parking underneath and adding additional space for storage and shops. The selection is terrific, and they have an additional deli and wine section with plenty of options. As the parking is right next to the intersection across from Hardy school, getting in and out of the location isn't bad.

Throughout the process of buying a mattress, Brenda went above and beyond—understanding my needs, working within my budget, and even staying late to give me the time I needed to decide between the mattress choices she had expertly recommended. I’m just so thrilled with every aspect of the process because of the excellent customer service I received.

Preeth Gowdar: Our experience with Mattress Warehouse, and specifically Brenda, was excellent. Brenda took a great deal of time to educate my wife and I, who were complete novices with regards to mattress buying. Brenda even stayed well past the closing time to continue working with us on a possible purchase. Her knowledge of mattresses seems very thorough, particularly from her own experiences, and she was fair in her opinions (not trying to overtly push any product). It's a neighborhood convenience store but it really has everything that you would need real quick to pick up at home in the kitchen or in your restroom at home. The prices are a little high but fair for the convenience I guess very clean friendly. I also go there at least four times a week...

Mr. Mr.: It was a little late and I had missed the closing deadline for the deli. I needed a few cold cuts to feed my family. The gentleman at the store was very nice and polite and didn't turn me away. He actually took the time to make my cold cuts and was very nice and patient and didn't rush me or give me an attitude. I'm Very grateful that he was able to take the time out and help me. I will definitely be going back to this particular store again.

Susan DC: It's convenient, and way better than a regular convenience store. But prices are high and, other than the deli and wine sections, they mostly sell fatty, over-processed junk food. A larger variety of seasonal fruits and veggies, less sugary cereals, and healthier frozen dinner options from companies like Amy's, Kashi, or Saffron Road would be a huge Improvement.

Matthias Hess: This is a great place to stop when you need a few things on your way home. They have most common grocery items, a few household things, a variety of wine and beer, and even a decent selection of fresh produce for a store of its size. The family who runs it is very friendly and helpful. They have just upgraded their checkout so they accept all credit cards on any purchase.

moose fitzmaurice: The Chicken On Fire is a one of a kind great sandwich that you only get here it's a spicy Cajun chicken breast on a toasted sub roll with lettuce, tomato, pepper jack cheese avocado and spread with basil pesto.👍🖒

Alex Dogum: I got help from Alberto and was in and out of the location within 45 minutes. Tried a range of mattresses and landed on one we liked. We were able to select an open delivery date so we could call when we were ready. We priced checked places and he was open to working on price post-purchase if we found it cheaper anywhere else. Very easy process and big store with lots of options to test. It’s also sanitary since they use disposable sheets before customers try any of the beds.

I was suppose to get a mattress end up getting my mom and me one that is at our comfort . He provided me with 4 different options. Explained the quality and even background Information . William Wohlgemuth: I went into the mattress warehouse in Wisconsin and was immediately greeted by Clarence. He listened to my needs and was patient as I tried multiple beds. We fell in love with a mattress that was a little out of my price range. Clarence showed me other options but could tell I really liked this certain mattress. Clarence did all he could including calling his manager to he’ll get the price down for me. He ended up being getting the price down into my range after a long phone call. There is no other place you should go to buy a mattress, and if you are lucky enough to get Clarence you will 100% leave with an amazing bed at an even better price. Clark Higgs: far the dirtiest whole foods store that I've ever been in. Some of their staff seem to have an "I don't care" attitude. After shopping, I stood in the coffee line for 15 minutes before I was waiting on by the only attendant working who made the following comment to another customer "there needs to be three people working at the coffee stand at all times". A new management team is suggested for this place, I will not return.

Hilda Kroll: I think it's great to have a supermarket across the street from the Foggy Bottom Metro. I usually get something in the bakery before heading for home when I'm in the area. Today I met a friend for coffee before going to the nearby Textile Museum. I got there first and didn't have a problem getting a cup of coffee. My friend came later, stood on line for fifteen minutes to get a cup of decaf, and refuses to go back. If you have the time, coffee and the choice of so many good pastries is a good deal. If you're in a rush, go somewhere else and pay twice as much.

Jeff: I'm stuned a whole food with a line wrapping around the store? Are you kidding me unreal. Never again to this very sad of an excuse to have this hanging. Can see the line on one side of the store and registers on the other. Freak show.

Win Anderson: This great review is solely because of the wonderful barista at the coffee shop. I was in town for a conference and went to whole foods three days in a row for coffee in the morning. Each day Tom provided wonderful coffee and friendly service. He is polite and personable and efficient. (This was in stark contrast to some of the register checkout clerks, who were downright rude.). The police officers were very friendly!

He gave me some information about the decaf coffee (doesn’t contain any chemicals). He gave me a sample of one of their green smoothies and made me a delicious brown butter cookie latte. Barry Bub: I am usually willing to pay more at a Whole Foods market because I generally enjoy the shopping experience there. This particular store not, for a number of reasons. Here’s one. When I asked the checkout person, politely, to tape the lid of the soup container to prevent it coming off - I had a long walk home - she yelled at me and stormed off. She was replaced by male who told me they no no longer tape or rubber band lids. I guess the few seconds it takes to do so eats into their profits. And what has happened to customer service? I agree with the previous reviewer, it’s a management or corporate problem.

Natalia Delgado: Had a really had experience at this location. We were accused of stealing by the manager just because we had our own cart with groceries from trader joes. The grocery store is 15 minutes from where we live and we go walking so we have no other option than to go to both stores in one trip. He made us feel very uncomfortable the whole time and followed us throughout the store. Another person had their own cart and was putting groceries in there but it didn’t seem like he said anything to them while we had our whole foods items in a separate basket. He approached again at checkout (after making it very obvious that he was talking about us with another employee) and said we couldn’t bring our own cart because “it confuses the employees”. I explained that we had a receipt for the groceries we had in our cart but he didn’t seen to care. We don’t have the luxury of a car or leaving nearby the store and we had never had any problems with going to two stores in one trip with our cart.

Erick Santillán: One of my favorite Latino stores in the city. They remodeled in 2021 it looks great. You can find almost any Latino product. Also fruits and vegetables prices are usually good.

Oliver Zagorin: This location has broken doors leading to and from the parking garage. This makes the store NOT handicap-accessible, and turns the push areas into a potluck petri dish during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. This location also does not practice strict masking, and so you will see noses and other facial features breathing through the wrong kind of mask on the food displays that remain stocked. (Most produce is out and what remains is below this locations previous standards)

I guess it’s hard to find good employees so they have to take what they can get but some of their employees are too much - surly, sullen, unsmiling, and seemingly annoyed by pesky customers who constantly interrupt their conversations with fellow employees to ask a question! And why can’t this store install shopping cart wheel lock devices? How much $$ does this store spend on staff hours collecting carts several blocks from the store and purchasing replacement carts for all the ones lost every month?

Eli Renderos: I am beyond disappointed in the customer service I have received at this store. I am an older man who has trouble reading the fine print on labels. I was in the health and beauty area of this store. There was a young man. He was tall, dark skin, long hair in dreads I believe is what those are called. I needed assistance and this young man was very unprofessional. The management at this store really needs to look into this man's behavior. I will not be shopping at this store after this poor lack of customer care. My business will go to another location where they will show compassion for elder people.

Iris: I like this store a lot, and considering it is the only good-size one that's walking distance for me, I am happy it is here. Lots of things to look at. I am not giving it 4 stars because I have seen a lot of items that simply don't look fresh. Like "fresh" raw shrimps from Asia... we are close enough to the water here. The staff are friendly and it is mostly clean. The refrigerator could use a good spring cleaning though.

Edward Holloway (NuVizion): One of my favorite places to pick up lunch from during my work break. They have vegan chicken salad as well as vegan tuna salad. Items I never see in many other stores. Decent prices as well and always has someone to assist with general questions

Sylvia Perkins: Very, very expensive, but otherwise good. Usually fully stocked, and a friendly face at the cash register - sometimes you'll get a grumpy person, but they're usually at least professional. Over all good doing experience. They have a convenient small/medium parking lot, which is helpful, but does get full easily when it's busy.

Chanpen Tee: This location is the best Giant I've ever been to. The store is very nice and clean. It is a big space and good layout. It gives me the felling like shopping at Wholefood or even better. Caroline Phillips: Management is disappointing to say the least. Did an order pick up on Sunday, and items were missing (out of stock). They are supposed to tell you when you get there if things are out of stock and give you a receipt of items. Instead, I get no receipt, arrive home and I’m missing toilet paper and other essential items. I called to inquire about items and apparently there were only TWO people scheduled for order pickups on a Sunday and were super backed up with orders, and the printer was broken so I was not given a receipt on site. The manager can’t expect so few people to handle weekend grocery pickups and maintain customer service protocols. More workers need to be scheduled for these instead of putting it all on two people, or management needs to lend a hand. Also, no working printer?? Managers, do better for your workers—and customers. (I attempted to connect with management over the phone but hung up after 10 minutes of holding).

John Newman: Standard, large, remodeled Giant. Good selection of everything. Deli is much better than Safeway down the street. Employees are generally sullen with scowling faces, but that's everywhere these days, so not a specific Giant issue. I don't hear the employees talking at the top of their lungs about sports and racial issues while stocking the shelves. That was a "thing" a few years ago. More at Safeway, but it happened at Giant too. No more of that.

Renita Lake: This is my Giant of choice, even though it is clear across the city from my home. The onions are what brought me here. They, and the rest of the produce are first rate. The staff at the Giant nearer to me are friendlier, but in the end, friendly staff does not outweigh onions that I have to toss three days after I buy them.

Maurice Simpson: One of the better looking Giant stores in the area. They have a pretty good selection of fresh produce and I like the Natural food selection as well. The cashiers are friendly and I usually never have to wait to check out.

Gothicah: Very low stock and I live in the neighborhood. Prices have jumped largely for items I used to get. Go elsewhere this one seems like their staff doesn't put much effort in. I tried to find a nice freshly baked roll or bagel for my breakfast and the entire thing was empty, yet all the donuts were full... not great.

Ali Ibrahim: I came here on 3 different occasions seeking to buy some fried fish from the hot bar after work. They are always out! Today I waited for somebody to help me by the hot bar and the grab and go section, the deli section no use. While waiting many people looked at the hot bar and walked away! I went to customer service and they sent somebody with me and we could not find anybody back there to make some fish. Another customer asked for rotisserie chickens while I was waiting. The attendant told her that it will take a while. There was only one person behind the counter in that huge section!! I am so disappointed!! Nice looking place with Starbucks inside and alcohol bar but the service is poor. Period. All of a sudden after waiting 3 people appeared after it was only one guy by himself! Wow Giant!

--: Caution, this bakery sells old stale cakes. Read the label before you purchase. Yesterday, February 6th, I picked up a chocolate cake in their bakery which appeared to be fresh. We served the cake at home and it was tough and very difficult to cut... then looked at the label and saw that was "packed" on January 21 which was 16 days earlier....ancient in cake time.

Sassy Sauce: Who doesn’t like Costco. It’s filled with stuff we really don’t need, but when we see it we justify why we want it and figure out the rest later. The tire center crew is very helpful and I have bought car batteries from here as well. The ease of rerun for items is really good and the process is very streamlined. I like the selection of items and it’s generally well staffed. I don’t have to wait too long in line before checking out. The gas prices are the best I’ve seen in the surrounding areas. It’s usually a win whenever we visit.

Anthony Stewart: A bit crowded, but great just as every other Costco. If you haven’t been a member for a while, now is your time to go back! Things have only gotten better! Pretty easy to reach by public transport if one doesn’t plan to get much (and traveling by bus and metro forces one to be a bit more circumspect in one’s purchases). Will be returning monthly and already know where to find great holiday essentials. Hadn’t had Costco pizza in years, and it really hit the spot. It’s one of the few places in the country where a meal and a drink can still be had for under $3!

Oceanie De Silva: Love Costco and specially this DC one as it’s the only one that sells Liquor in the whole DMV area! We find some great items- coconut water from Sri Lanka, Dutch ovens for a great price! Hard Liquor and wines and beers etc amazing collection!! And great prices too! The Japanese whiskeys are a treat and also some fine wines from France and Spain! Also the service is great and efficient! Even though it’s always crowded you move fast!! Become a Member and come over to the DC one!

B. Lipkowitz: This is a great store for just about anything personal, business, and corporate. A courteous, efficient staff is ready, available to serve, offer samples, or assist along well stocked aisles of both the familiar and upscale. Libations, anyone? The A+ "adult beverage" section has an exceptional array of wines and spirits.

I SLAY ALL DAY TRAVEL The Solo Traveler: Its always a pleasure coming into this Costco to see the workers with great customer service. They are friendly and kind. The selections are wide and many. I really like this location and it’s close to home.

Jneen Pas: The lines were long but the cashier was polite. Then my reciept didn't print at the register and I had to wait an additional 20 mins for them to bring me a printed reciept from the back. Made my rating less.

Hannah Solomon: I'm just reviewing so they'll read this some day on beach too sandy water to wet. It's what you expect. At one point in my life I lived on the rotisserie chicken, miracle noodles, and bell peppers. 10/10. Return policy is clutch for trying out new stuff too.

Kev- keepingitreal: This Walmart offers Capital City Mambo Sauce, Fruits, Vegetables, Seafood, Poultry, Dairy and all sorts of Household Items. This Walmart needs to improve its Elevator services, only two out three of the elevators are working, it would be nice if they removed one of the elevator and replace it with stairs that lead customers from the parking garage to the street level and to Walmart store level for easy access. The current stairs only give customer access from the street level to Walmart store and no access to the parking garage. This Walmart includes a Pharmacy and free two hours of parking in the parking garage. This store has shopping carts available in the store and in the garage areas.

Mirka Mendez: It's Walmart, there are no grocery stores nearby (that I know) so it's an option. Smaller than the usual supercenter, very small produce section. There was an approximately 10 min wait at every registers when I visited.

PaulDavid Morado: Not exactly the best side of town. It is Walmart so all things that go with Walmart come along with this place. It's not close to any Metro station so be prepared for a walk is it on the other side of Chinatown. Excellent place for fruits and vegetables in all things grocery but be prepared also to bring your own bags as there seems to be carts missing

Aminah Imani: Its conveniently located but not the best Walmart to be in. The customers were loud and the security with large bullet proof vests doesn’t make it a welcoming vibe. Grab your products and head out quick. They do validate parking and leave patience for the slow running elevators. The employees were helpful and efficient. This location isn’t my preference but it gets the job done when in dire need.

Sassy Sauce: Mixed experience with this store. It’s a good location and there is parking available in the underground garage. First 2 hours are free. The store has items locked in a case that I couldn’t understand. For example, women’s underwear and some personal hygiene items. Also, the store wasn’t too crowded while I was there and the associate I asked to help me gave me clear directions as to what aisle the product I needed would on. The parts of the store I visited were clean and the overall shopping experience was ok. No major complaints. Just strange observations about profits being locked behind glass.

C. Zed: Well it exists, that I appreciate. I’ll continue to shop here. The cashiers scan items more than once, has already happened twice for me. The store is small and often too messy. The aisles are narrow, and the carts are way too big for the store. Many items are locked behind cases. Could be a better experience, especially for the closest location to the US Capitol.

Virginia S: Need more employees/cashiers working. These stores rely too heavily on self checkout. Which is fine if you like to DIY but there shouldn't be so little cashiers that you turn the customers into employees and shoppers at the same time. Some people go shopping for the experience of the human interaction they have buying their things, having someone else ring it up is part of the experiences. Stop cutting corners your customers are not happy with it trust me

Van D Peluche: Terrible terrible. Twice I have ordered online groceries and the first time I did not get it until an hour later and the second time I didn’t get it until a day later than the scheduled period. Absolutely awful. Plus no one in any department answers phone calls. And their produce is very poor quality. May as well not even have the grocery delivery service. Will not even notify about orders being held for the next day.

Harriet Saulsbury: Love shopping at Walmart, some of the eorker are rude ask them a question they always say its not my department and walk away. Another thing as many seniors and disable people shopping there on a daily basis you only have maybe 10 electric scooters for the entire store which is a super store but you have maybe only 2 scooters working. You also took away your seating you have in the lobby of the stores where are we supposed to sit and wait on rides and family members to finish shopping?

Clairelise Berry: At 9:30pm on 10/18 I had a wonderful customer service experience. I had lost my wallet in the self checkout and the team members working that night were so helpful in getting it back to me. The store itself was clean, and I was pleasantly surprised with the selection and prices in the wine aisle. I went later in the day so a lot of the stuff was sold out, but I saw team members working to restock and helped me find things. Will be returning for more groceries soon.

Elizabeth Dwiggins: What a wonderful shopping experience! We were helped to find the perfect mattress by Chima. He showed us five or six mattresses that met our requirements. We ended up buying the most expensive one of the bunch but we did not feel up sold. He showed us many that could have been acceptable but with full awareness we chose the most comfortable one which was a little more money. This is the third or fourth mattress we have purchased from this Mattress Firm location. We will be back.

So today i go buy the skate the price is the same i get to ✔ out the guy goes the price is 29.98 im like no they are wrong so i asked him to fix honor the price he said he can not do it the manager comes show me a picture if you want the item i go take the pic waited in line again another cahier tried to help but the first cashier said no I have the transaction on hold. So i kept on waiting them it was only one person behind me and he said i cannot do it go to customer services. I go he said to customer i have a big line i was like really. Ok finally thay send me back to the manager and she did not ask for the pic or anything and charged me 29.98. But before this she said to the customer service do not come with that. Anyway she was not even wearing the mask properly she had it on her neck. I end up returning the item and got the price at customer service with a DIFFERENT cashier after 3 different lines. Pooooooooooor customer service specialty from the manager

taqueya spriggs: I experienced very poor customer service. My family and I shopped here for the first time a week ago and the cashier who rung the father of my children's items began yelling at him because he realized after placing his items on the belt that he forgot to pick up an item that he needed in the aisle. Thereafter, the cashier began shouting for him to return to the checkout counter to complete his transaction because the store was closing soon. I for one don't have a problem with store personnel explaining to me that I am unable to go back to the aisles to select additional items to purchase because closing time is vastly approaching, but it's how you talk to people. Not to mention store security personnel tried to intimate myself and the father of my children in front of them as if he wanted to arrest us. He also became antagonizing by ordering another patron nearby to pull out his phone to video record him throwing me out of the store when I had no involvement with the incident that transpired between the cashier and my significant other. I will never shop at this location again and retail workers should be mindful of their tone and demeanor with customers because my significant other was not being confrontational, disorderly, or destroying property after being publicly humiliated in front of everyone in the store for no apparent reason. This kind of behavior is shameful and despicable and I was mortified. I am a regular shopper of Walmart corporations and I spent a lot money that day and do not deserve to be treated like a common criminal. With everything going on in the world and due to poor customer service and lack of respect for others, I think retailers should convert their services over to online shopping. This way customers can still reap the benefits of shopping without the having to potentially endure poor customer service. In the future Amazon will get all of my business.

scmi7y: Not too good experience, they did not have any of the 4 things we came for. Also they don't sell graphic cards in this store. Staff was 50/50 some was very helpful and good attitude. While others seemed annoyed by customers getting in their way and asking "stupid" questions. Somewhat hard to navigate the store. And prices has gone up lately.

Keshia Wideman: The absolute worst customer service ever. The store manager Patrick is non responsive to the lack of professionalism and ethics of the staff concerning, customers concerns/complaints. They are definitely a representation of his leadership and it shows. He doesn’t follow up on cooperates complaints, and the store is not organized properly at times. They don’t honor price misplaced items, and the cashiers are sarcastic, and rude at times. Crystal has been there awhile and can be rude and dismissive. I had to address her , and others about their rude, unethical behavior.

Michael Perez: If Purgatory exists, this Walmart will be a level. The place was clean and had an organization known to them. Not like any I've ever visited (and I've had the pleasure...to visit more than a few) but I'm sure when you've done your penance of shopping here a few times you get used to it. What really sets this store apart from the others is the stylistic hell that is the checkout process. 7 lanes with at least 9 patrons each. Cashiers that appear to be participating in a slow-down strike (and if they are, my hat's off to them and their cause). And at least 3 arguments between customers that verged on World Star territory. I will say that the curbside personnel were a little more engaged in their work.
