Blues Alley Club: what do users think?

Laetitia Monnier: Awesome club ! We went there for a date night and it was a great experience. There is little table around the stage where you can get close and cozy. The atmosphere is dark and felted which is perfect for a romantic date. The music was awesome too. It was a mix of jazz, blues, hip-hop and it was definitely perfect. The food was good too with choice from southern cuisine which we love. I think it’s a must do in DC and we’ll definitely come back and recommend it to our friends and family !

Tom Williams: This spot is dope and laid back, I like the location also. The drinks and food were good, this is a must go I will return for sure. They do ask for your vaccination card so don’t be surprised about that. Give it shot and enjoy yourself.

Michael Goodman: Good little historic jazz club in DC. Good space, nice acts coming through. A bit stuffy for my taste, as I usually prefer walk-in casual spots, and this requires tickets in advance. But forcing ticket sales does at least encourage active listeners rather than a raucous, drunken bar crowd. Pretty good layout, good view of the band from most seats in the house. The food is something awful. Get dinner elsewhere.

Carol F: LOVE Blues Alley! Great venue and line ups always. The drinks and appetizers I've had were all very good. I just wish they had a membership. You know... Something like: pay x amount a year and get go to go x number of shows with a simple click. I'd probably go more often.

Adam Galazka: Decided to try this place out for our first jazz experience in DC. It was good. It does get very congested in there as the tables are very close to each other. There was a minimum of $15 order. You can QR code order everything and even check out online. I thought that process was very smooth. Music was good. You are close to the stage. It did take us asking 3 times for some water. It is also warm in there. Can't imagine how it would feel on a warmer day. They also require to see vaccination card. Photo of one is fine.

Anne Schumann: Blues Alley is open and putting on great shows. Vaccinations are required to enter but masks are optional (as of this review). Expect to pay a cover plus a food and beverage minimum. Tickets can be purchased online in advance and there are shows most nights of the week ranging from school bands, local up and commers and national talent. There is a parking garage right across the street or on weeknights you can usually find street parking.

Kelly Smith: The atmosphere was excellent the music had me on the edge of my seat. Paul Taylor and Michael Lington were awesome 👌. The only thing I didn't like was not getting my drink i ordered. They were slow if they have a drink price minimum we should be able to get what we want. Other than that a Great place to visit

Shantell Hartley: The music was great. However, the service was terrible!!! The show started a little after 10pm. I didn’t get my drink until 11:30pm. Right after I got my drink, the show ended!!! They continually got our drink orders wrong and didn’t have any of the mixers we ordered. They even sent a mixed drink to our table in two different glasses, unmixed. It was a MESS! I finally had to ask for my drink to be mixed with a coke since they didn’t have anything else. It was not delicious. I couldn’t even drink it. I had to ask for extra soda because it was so strong. I am really disappointed by this experience. I should have gotten a refund! The two stars are only because the music was good.

Terri Miller: Blues Alley never disappoints! The pefect venue for enjoying live music. The staff is friendly and professional. I saw one of my favorite artist Kim Waters. It was an amazing performance and outstanding band. I looking forward to going back soon.

J D: Wonderful jazz music in a historic carriage house. The quality of the music and musicians was equal to what we hear at our local concert venue. Owners are hospitable and service is quick and efficient. We enjoyed beverages but want to try the food on our next visit. Check this place out and do your part to support live jazz music and a lively venue.

Jojo Restaurant and Bar: what do users think?

Fernanda Lanzagorta: The live music is definitely the best asset of this restaurant. Its 10 dollars for the the music. We were expecting more on the food, the fries and apple tart were the best of all. The ambiance is so cozy and inviting. I’ll come back for the music and the desserts.
Response: Thank you!

Ev B: This place was PERFECTION! Shot out to our waiter we called him DK (I can't remember his real name sorry) who was GREAT‼️ Excellent Customer Service and the food was AMAZING! THE BAND WAS PHENOMENAL! The Lady at the front door who greets everyone was so sweet and nice. Oh I can't wait to go BACK❤️
Response: Thanks Ev, see you soon!

Victoria Little: 20% gratuity added to check, $2 fee to per person because we brought a cake in. Oh and $10 added to tab for the band, was removed since they weren't playing before we departed. It was a little disappointing since none of this was mentioned when I reserved a table for five. Food and drinks were average. Do yourself a favor and go to a better place for the price.
Response: Thank you, and please take a look at our reservation notes, it's mentioned so its clear to our guest.

mletts423: This is a great spot! The Jazz was incredible. It is a small bar with great sound. The bartenders work really hard and make great drinks! I highly recommend this place!
Response: Thamks, you are the best. Check out our happy hours daily from 5pm-7pm.

Vicki J (MylifeMystyle): Jojo’s a vibe ! If you like jazz / live music then check it out when in DC . There’s a $10 cover for the nights the band is playing live for downstairs seats. The food is tasty as well .
Response: Thank you Vicki, we hope to see you soon.

Anita Molina: What a little gem. We came to enjoy some late night jazz. Cozy inside, atmosphere was fantastic. Loved the ambiance. Excellent food, excellent drinks and most importantly excellent music. We will be back.
Response: Thank you

Emerson P. Daniel: interesting. food is great! the bartender pictured here touched my limes with his bare hands… and he kept going to the side to eat like taking chomps,,, i guess he was really hungry 😂😂😂overall— unsanitary and friendly in a fake way. oh and he didn’t know what the menu pictures were.. like what🤣🤣🤣 do you want me to get something?? and i kid you not my friend was asking about the picture and i literally figured out myself so you would THINK the bartender could do the same let alone know off bat—
Response: Thank you.

Tiffany Frazier: Loved this intimate spot on our weekend visit to DC. We didn't eat but everyone around us was and it looked yummy. We enjoyed the generous drinks and the Sol Roots Trio band. Will visit again on my next visit. Don't find many spots like this anymore.
Response: Thank you, see you soon!

Alex Moore: Came for the jazz and will probably only come back for the live jazz. The drinks were pretty standard, maybe a little too sweet on their fruit based cocktails. We had a reservation but had to wait ~20-30minutes for the table, despite arriving on time, since the party before us took their time to gather up and leave. The food was ok, and took a very long time to come out. Ordered the lamb chops rare, but only one of the 3 were rare. The chops varied in thickness too, which added to the uneven doneness. The dish was supposed to come with garlic mashed potatoes but came out with a few potato wedges instead, the spinach side was good. They add 20% gratuity to your bill and $10/head for live music.
Response: Thank you.

Charlene Bermudez: Bar seating, unless reservation for a table has been made. Food was probably exactly one notch higher than bar food, which is not bad at all. As for drinks, I ordered the ellington, which is worth trying out for it's originality and bold taste. The live music was great. The Keith Butler Trio was playing on the night I stopped by. Definitely recommend stopping by when they're scheduled to play.
Response: Thank you!

Alice's Jazz & Cultural Society: what do users think?

V Webster: Walking into Alice's Jazz and Cultural Society, is like walking into a jazz hall of fame. This place is a must see...and don't forget to enjoy the music! I will return!

Lasana Akachi: I checked out the place on one of the off days for performance. I was impressed with the mural and easy access of entry. The mural greatly encompassed the history and feeling of jazz from it's people oriented organic feel. The folksy vibe was definitely authentic. During it's hey-day, I was largely out of the DC area, so I didn't get to catch the performances as I would have liked, but I knew the manager DeAndrey Howard who is a consumate musician who has a love and appreciation for the music that I have witnessed first-hand over many years and countless venues. If anyone could insure the viability of the music and the place, I knew it would be him. The closing of Alice's place is a lost for us all.

Jadon Marianetti: What a lovely homie place to enjoy local jazz and culture. Every Wed and Sunday night from 6-9p. It's a 501(c)3... Alcohol free, $10 cover. Great artists. Great mission. What else is there to say... This is a low-key gem of Brookland and 5 minutes from the metro, right next to a delicious pizza place (menomale) and a great neighborhood gastropub (Brookland's finest) :)

Ashantie L. Taylor: I love this place. Particularly because it’s alcohol-free, but especially because my son, who is a toddler, is welcomed. Very warm and inviting establishment to enjoy some good music.

Patrice Douglas: My guy friend and I adore this place! We don't drink so it was awesome to find a jazz spot that doesn't serve alcohol! The food (fried fish & salad) is delicious! and the music is a feast for our ears. It's $10 to get in and another $10 for a plate. $40 date night in DC is great for the budget :) The staff there treat you like family. I miss it and can't wait for them to open back up after COVID. I can't say enough good things about this place!

Cynde Thomas: Personable staff, gracious host (DeAndre), excellent fish dinner, and great jazz, jazz, jazz in a livingroom set.

Jerry Lowell: Warm, intimate nin-alcohol club to see good local jazz. Diverse audience with love if music in comm.

Dennis Meizys: I am looking forward to the re-opening once it's safe again.

Laurie MJ: The place was like stepping back in time. Where people came to play because they enjoyed it. This night Pepe and Imani Gonzales was the entertainers

Angie Whitehurst: Great music. An old fashioned "hole in the wall" small cozy ," jazz club. A real treat and they only serve sodas, juice and snacks. There are performances scheduled throughout the week. You have to go on line to see who's performing. On Sundays around six the music is on. Go early to get a parking place, seat and or a table.

Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club: what do users think?

Cory Laws: Four stars for a nice venue and a good variety of performers. Good acoustics. Food is ok. Not great, not horrible. Acceptably decent. Drinks are expensive, but I guess that goes with the situation. Staff was nice, friendly and attentive, especially considering the crowd. I was a bit turned off with the bill. A 20% gratuity was added, with a supposedly "custom" tip. The custom part was on top if the already claimed 20%. Regardless, the music was good, and we had fun. Will be back.

Sassy Sauce: This is a nice club to see performers and enjoy an evening out with friends and family. The tables on the main floor are close together so get there early so you don’t have to navigate through so many people. The food and drinks are pretty good and the prices are reasonable. There is stadium styled seating in the back with approximately 8 rows of chairs. You can order drinks and food from the bar area and bring it back to your seat if you sit in the back stadium seats. The sound quality and acoustics of the musical performances is good as well.

S B: Nice venue and show - we went to a Sunday evening Stokely show and sat in the non-main area and was satisfied. Next time we'll try the table top area. The food was delivered in plastic take-out containers, so it isn't the usual dining experience, perhaps because of the pandemic. Highly recommend.

Dr. DeBo'rah Williams: The venue was nice, however sitting in seats off the floor, at a cost of $75.00; I thought it was inappropriate that we couldn't be served. In order for us mature adults to have to climb stairs and then desend from the Gallery to purchase food and drinks, I was astounded. I drove from Delaware to DC in order to observe the show, I will reconsider in the future.

Charita Mayo: I have been to Bethesda Blues many many times for so many events : live concerts, comedy shows and more. I enjoy myself every time. I love the options of artists they showcase. The tickets are reasonably priced. Now post Covid they changed management or food vendor & their food prices has increased ALOT! I do think that is ridiculous. You could eat before you arrive, but you still have to purchase something like drinks or dessert. Overall I always have a great time and enjoy the performance.

ange nance: I thoroughly enjoyed the show. This is a nice small venue. You get an excellent view of the stage whether you get a table or sit upstairs. The food and drinks are overpriced for the quality and quantity. I suggest eating before you go. But the entertainment was awesome. I will definitely go back again.

T O: We decided to go to a concert here and made a weekend getaway out of it. We drove 4 hours to get here so maybe my expectations were too high but I don’t think so. To start, the venue is ok but old and needs updating. We had two less than great mixed drinks that came in small plastic cups. With tax and gratuity, the total was $45. We ate before we arrived so didn’t order the food. Thank God we didn’t because a lady next to us ordered a $25 salad that came in a plastic container with a lid on it. All food came in a plastic container with a lid on it. If I’m paying this kind of money, there are expectations like a certain quality, glasses to drink from, dinnerware, and silverware. I previously bought tickets to another show here later this summer but am going to think hard about whether I’m coming back. The vibe was completely off and the cost of the tickets may be sacrificed. If you’re going to call yourself a “supper club”, you need to up your game cause this ain’t it.

Stephanie Bullock: Only giving a 1 star because of the Performer . I am in healthcare, and they DO NOT ask to see proof of covid- vaccine as the website stated. We went to see Stockley last Friday evening . The website stated that the doors open at 5pm but the rude security guard peeked his head out the door and said “Well the website is wrong, doors open at 5:30pm” Seeing that it was raining outside , I asked the security guard if I come inside just to use their ladies room, and he stated “ There is a bar across the street that may have a restroom”. My friends and I walked across the street to a beautiful bar owned by the Marriott , where we had the best bartender and the best drinks . We walked back over to the Bethesda Jazz club just in time for the show . Stockley put on a great great performance, but the staff was extremely rude, and I will say eat before you arrive because the food and service was not worth the cost . I will definitely revisit the bar across the street located at the Marriott for happy hour , but will never return to the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club.

Theressa “T” C: This was my first time here and I had an awesome experience. Bel'a Donna performed and they did an AMAZING job!! I ordered the southern fried wings and it was yummy.

Krista: There's a public parking garage behind the venue with 3 floor so keep driving down if it's full, you'll find something. $20 minimum at the table, which is fine because you'll only have to order one item to achieve. I came to see a comedy show. The tables were reasonably spaced. We sat in front on the lefthand side. Very vintage inside, which I love. The food was a little pricey for what you get. I didn't mind the plastic ware but it was $17 for 6 wings and the same for a small salad. The crew seemed to be organized and attentive to the best of their abilities. I will return... maybe after eating a filling meal 😁

Columbia Station Club: what do users think?

Ayaz Khan: A fantastic jazz venue. Had a great experience. The owner, Mahari, personally checks on all the guests. The bartender Lena is lovely.Great service, relaxed atmosphere. Real Jazz start kicking off around 9pm. Great performers. Will certainly be frequenting this place regularly.

cristalebella B: The owner welcomed us in immediately andmade us feel at home. The Jazz was what dragged us in, and it progressively got better and better. I sipped on my dirty martini and enjoyed all the ambiance this place had to offer. Meoowwww all that was missing was Eartha Kitt 😉 😘

Allison Lau: Reliable establishment for good live jazz & blues. Columbia Station is iconic on 18th street - their unadulterated presence breathes life into the streets. Warm atmosphere with a welcoming hostess, and no cover. We usually just order drinks here because food service can be slow. Stay however long you want - you won't be disappointed with the show!

U.B. Abalu: Ha! I should have read the reviews before coming back here :p The jazz music is great. This has always been a favorite spot of mine, until recently. Had the worst dining and service experience. First of all, when you show up you seat yourself, which is fine. The waitress/bartender brought me a menu and didn't even come check on me again after I placed the menu down and was making eye contact, obviously ready to ask for something, while she was chit-chatting with the other waitress in the corner. I was waiting for my partner to arrive, and when he did, they came to take our orders. He ordered wine, and I wanted to start with water with a lemon. They brought his wine but not my water. Took them 10 minutes to get me a simple glass of water (and the lemon was missing by the way) and I had to ask them for it a second time. Then we ordered the seafood pizza, but they brought out the seafood platter (50 minutes later). We said seafood "pizza" very clearly, but the waitress was not listening. We didn't want to be late for a comedy show next door, so we told them to cancel the order and we'd eat somewhere else, yet they insisted that they would bring our order to us next door and even had the audacity to ask us to pay in advance. Pay for what?? We didn't receive any food yet and service was terrible. We ended up receiving the seafood pizza (a full 1 hour and 10 minutes later by the way) which was delicious. It took additional time for them to bring us small plates. The wait staff don't seem to care that much. The place had been picking up and they seemed oblivious to their bad service, and they seemed slow, under-trained, and overwhelmed. My partner usually always, always leaves a generous tip, but this is the first time I've ever witnessed him leaving ZERO tip. The service was that bad. It was such a terrible service experience. And you know what? There are plenty of jazz/dining options in DC, and we simply won't be coming back to this place.

YT White: This place has great music and very cool vibes. The menu is limited but it's not about the food.

Ellie Twigg: Ugh. Great potential in this AdMo spot but unfortunately, the service from bar staff and ownership is so bad. Horrendously overpriced drinks and rude bartenders in a place that hosts amazing live Jazz music and the occasional comedy night. Diverse crowd and a packed house with little to no service to the seated tables or those sat at the bar. Didn’t keep proper tabs on our bill so we were charged a seemingly random amount. We might be back but only for the jazz and comedy.

Genny Henry: Hello. I have been to this establishment three times and all three times the server has been incredibly rude. Once she charged us for a drink that she tossed when I had simply went to the bathroom. This time was the last straw. We came in and sat down, she greeted us by flopping the menus on the table without a word. Then she comes back three minutes later to ask if we're ready, without recommending anything on the menu, in which we replied, telling her that we were waiting for some friends to park before ordering. Five minutes later, she comes back, and places the promotion card on the table, pointing out the fact that it's a $10 minimum to stay, without saying a word, she just pointed and stared at us. Our friends weren't even here yet and 8 minutes into this place, we already feel unwelcomed. At that point, we called our friends back and told them to not even bother. We asked her to speak to a manager, in which she replied with a face of discuss and anger, and said "What?! Why?" We told her that she was simply being rude. Then she replied, "So! I'm busy!" and snatched the menus off if the table. It was a Sunday night, there were maybe five tables and one person at the bar, she was obviously not busy. When she refused to even retrieve a manager, we walked out. We're never coming back. I just want to let someone know so that others won't have to go through what we went through. The Jazz is amazing, and I don't think it's fair to the talented musicians to see someone drive business away.

Keith Lopes: After we sat down, it took some time for the server to get to us. She was the only waitress on a very busy Adams Morgan Festival day. Also we had to wait for quite some time to actually get our food. The food was okay at best. Please don't get the chicken wings they were bready as hell, not crispy. We spent $50 on not so good food. Besides that, there was some pretty great live music, however it was too loud for the tiny space. If only we had walked two or three restaurants further we would have enjoyed our lunch.

Dwayne Evans: Laid back comfortable atmosphere with no pretense. Good service and music

Elizabeth Goodrich: Sat outside while the jazz band played. Highly recommend. Had the calamari for an app. It was SO good, lightly fried. Then we had a chicken pasta, delicious. Lots of vegetables and seasoned amazingly. Then my partner in crime had a steak that was Pittsburgh style. Sooo good. Came on a Sunday night! Jazz until 1am.

Black Cat: what do users think?

Nick Pascale: performed there with my band, The Missing Peace (check us out) and the staff was extremely nice to us and treated us with utmost respect despite opening for a huge artist. Also music venues normally carry a stigma of being stingy with their alcohol in their drinks but Black Cat served great tasting, well mixed drinks - best venue i’ve experienced in the DMV area!

Tom Burke: I've been to this club a few times over the past 15 or so years. Always liked it. It's a long haul for me (~1.5 hr drive), so I don't go often.

Tom Mole: Covid testing requirements were listed clearly and visibly written on the venue's website. The venue was pretty clean and the restrooms were surprisingly kept up which is rare.. The front desk/counter lady was extremely polite and nice. I will definitely return for another awesome musical performance! DC music shows! :)

Saminda Wijegunawardena: Saw Boy Harsher here on April 10th (2022) and it was the first time seeing this duo. Dark, early new wave-inspired songs, very synth-heavy with pounding minimal beats made for a great show at this raw venue. It was my first time back here in about 20 years, still has a great vibe if not the best acoustics. If they had better sound here and some better vantage points for the folks that aren't 6 feet tall, I'd definitely give it 5 stars.

Ramiro Pena: My past two experiences have been dreadful. They pack the place so full of people it is really concerning. I straight up got panic attacks from just how many people are packed in post pandemic. God bless them but I guess it’s just not for me anymore. It’s so hard to ascertain when the events held here arent packed with a huge huge group of people because besides that I’m sure there are worthwhile acts to watch. I remember one group that did a really cool interpretive dance I’m sorry for the low score but thats me and I think I’m going to add some keywords so that a certain audience can understand. If you have autism or anxiety this might not be the most accesible place for you. The last two times I have been here getting a drink or even approaching the bar has been impossible. The place was so packed inevitability people were rubbing up against me CONSTANTLY. Personally I can’t stand that. This place has pinball which is nice but last time the one machine had a flipper broken. I wish I could enjoy being inside this place but theres no where to sit most of the time I feel awkward walking in and just standing around, I can’t feel comfortable dancing because theres no room to move without brushing up against someone. I just can’t stand that. This is a personal problem but if you have sensory issues like that consider this an advisement

kevin jenkins: Had a great time seeing Flobots. Bartenders are great. Tip them. Well.

JW Francis: I played here on 4/19 and had a wonderful experience! Very cool room with checkered floor. Very kind people behind the bar and working production. Two thumbs wayyyy up!

Jeffrey Hearn (he / him): Limited but welcome seating for a big guy who can't stand for 3 hours at a stretch

Robert Cardoni: Mid size music venue hosting indie and punk acts. Space is long and narrow - so sight lines and sound can be off near the back but it’s still a great space. They recently downsized from 2 levels to one. Kind of sad but at least they weren’t forced out of the neighborhood due to gentrification. Bring cash. No credit cards accepted They no longer have food :(

Marissa Frank: Love going to shows at the black cat. The bar upstairs is no longer cash only, but they will not keep tabs. Drink prices are fine. The bathrooms need some help but it's a small fun venue, it's fine.

Madam's Organ: what do users think?

Brad Badger: My girlfriend and I made sure to stop here after she had been here years ago and loved it. Our bartender Deborah was 10/10. She made some amazing drinks and was incredibly great to us. We got an appetizer sampler and the fried fish bites were absolutely killer. Live music was great as well. Cool vibes and great service. I will definitely stop by Madams Organ again the next time I am in DC!

Eve Breier: Lovely atmosphere! The music is good, bartenders are friendly, nice mix of club-like dance floor upstairs, seated area on the middle floor, and a bar/performance area downstairs. It has it all. Also pretty funky decor all over.

James Bladen: I really wanted to try this place and menu sounded good, but waited over 15 minutes or more for someone to take my order and never did! I asked the bartender if someone was going to wait on my table and I could not hear what his response was, he just mumbled something. I was being as patient as possible and understand places are short staffed. There was a big table of around 10 people upstairs and I was by myself downstairs, I guess that explains it. The bartender was more interested staring at his phone than making sure his customers were taken care of. I was going to order a large order and I do tip good, but sorry, you just lost a customer and me recommending a place if you ignore solo diners like that.
Response: Sorry it didn’t work out for you. We are having labor issues but that is no excuse

Stacy Walker: Awesome spot, easy bar, and amazing entertainment! Check them out on Tuesday nights for great live music

Marieke Kooymans: Worst service we've ever had.. We were a group of 4 and came for dinner and to perform at the open mic. We were completely ignored when we came into the bar, even though it was quiet. At some point we just sat down and when the waitress finally came we asked for cocktails. She threw (literally) a crumpled stained cocktail menu on the table that looked as if it was taken out of the trash. She later explained they don't serve cocktails anymore which maybe explains..? We felt pretty invisible during dinner, it took a long time to order food/drinks and our plates weren't cleared away. We made a pile ourselves of the dishes and napkins ,and when dessert came the pile was cleared away, but the waitress took off the used napkins and put them back on the table for us to reuse. We ordered 2 desserts and got 1, but decided to let it go and just ask for the bill. We tried to get the attention of the waitress but failed. After 20 minutes we walked around to find her and asked her to pay. She looked at us and then ignored us and walked away. it felt very disrespectful. We considered leaving cash on the table and just leaving (risking the cash to be taken by someone else in a now crowded bar). The kitchen porter then came by to clear the rest of our table and we asked him for the bill as a final attempt. He was very friendly and helped us. The waitress then told us the price to pay but we asked for a receipt. She seemed very annoyed and finally arranged a receipt. It took us in total at least one hour and a lot of effort to pay! At this point we did not feel welcome and just went home without playing at the open mic.

Ieshia E. Butler: Food was just ok. Nothing to write home about. I am from the Caribbean and was expecting the soul food to be a bit more flavorful. The waitress was really nice and the menu was affordable.
Response: Maybe you wanted Caribbean food and not Soul food

Amanda: Great dark chilled atmosphere. Multiple floors with a partially covered roof top bar. Live bands. Friendly speedy service. Reasonable food and drink prices. Pool table available.

SHIKATSE KPANYAA: Great Place to have fun in DC. Live bands, hip-hop and country. Three different dance floor at the same place. Judy go to where you wanna have fun. They don't have meals so get something to eat around

DiiJay Victorious: Great place. Bouncer is cool and ppl are sociable. Bands are cool. Beware atmospheres change momentarily and without notice (not for badly, just different crowds)

Alison Scott: Loved the live music, bartender was so friendly! Amazing vibes - so glad we stopped in here. One of my favorite stops while visiting DC

9:30 Club: what do users think?

Brian Copes: I believe it was my second time at this club and it was a great time! Context - I went to a pride/DJ/ drag show event, but I believe it’s a concert venue in the DC area. Security - I believe they have a metal detector and they check your bags so be prepared and consider that from a time management standpoint. Venue- it’s huge with multiple levels including bars, bathrooms and places to stand/dance/watch. I heard there’s a lower level, but last night I was just on the balcony and main floor near the stage. Vibe - loved the mood and energy. It was packed around 11PM EST even though it started at 10PM. There’s was free water, disco ball, alcohol, lights, go-go dancers and people in the mood to have a fun night. Overall, I would recommend this place for a night out.

Ian Pitts: Cozy venue with multiple bars and some food options. Parking is only a block or two away and there are options for food right nearby within walking distance. The ticket checking process was smooth and they even checked a camera that was deemed "professional" for free during the show.

Saminda Wijegunawardena: First time I went to the 930 Club was the one on F Street in 1990. I was a senior in high school and went to see the Ocean Blue perform. They encored with the Smiths' "There is a Light that Never Goes Out" that night. The experience was incredible and indelible. The energy in that small crowded space embodied everything about live music that I enjoyed and was such a milestone for me in my young musical journey. When they moved to their current location a few years later, I was dubious about how it would be. But it didn't disappoint. I saw countless shows there from Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Morphine, and so many more. It somehow had the same intimate energy even in such a larger space. Now back after 2 decades in California, I have come to appreciate it even more. Recently saw Caribou and the Midnight and both shows were epic. Great sound, and always can get a good angle on the stage. Look forward to enjoying many more shows here in the years to come.

Anna S: I just took my daughter and her friends to this venue for the first time for an all ages show last night. I am so glad that I did! She and her high school friends had a great time! My friend and I had a nice view from the balcony bar and were able to enjoy ourselves and have our eyes on the girls at all times. We called the club earlier in the evening and the woman who answered the phone gave us great instructions on where to park as well! They take the mask and vaccinations proof seriously as well, which made me feel more comfortable about safety. Bathrooms were clean at the beginning and f the night. Overall, for a place to get 4 decades of people all enjoying the same music and scene, the 9:30 Club did a great job.

Michelle: What an awesome venue! I recently saw one of my favorite bands here and was blown away! The sound in this club is amazing! You can feel every beat and note. Also, great staff! Keeping it safe, but fun. 👍🏻👍🏻

Tori Barker: We barely waited in line and we showed up 15 minutes before the show began which in my opinion was fantastic. When I say barely waited I mean the staff greeted us immediately, looked at our vax cards and IDs and because my boyfriend had lost his mask we had to wait 1 minute so the staff could grab us one. The staff were so kind and even though it was super cold they had such a great attitude and welcoming vibe. So thankful for everything at the venue. The people inside were also great and of course the Bartender, fantastic. I could not ask for more from this venue. The set up inside is stunning and our show was amazing! I am from NC but came up to D.C. to see Misterwives and I am so glad it did. A night to remember from start to finish, thank you 9:30 for all you do to keep entertainment alive during these times.

Kevin Fiol: Great venue! Sound was awesome. Stage allows for great views etc. However... I was charged $2 for a 6oz cup of water. They do not sell bottled water (or intentionally sold me a TINY water) There's no place to smoke or vape once you enter the venue so you have to go outside and then go through the entire line again.

Nathan Faneuf: Amazing venue, been here twice so far. Would definitely see a show here. Bring ear plugs, very loud, but good sound. Drinks are expensive, 9 dollars for a shot of Jack Daniels. Friendly staff.

Osaurus G: This is a pretty good venue. Love all the bars and the openness of the floor. The balcony area offers some great views of bands (Bob Mould for me)

Aida mary: Absolutely fantastic venue for a live show! I watched Saint Paul and the Broken Bones plus Thee Sacred Souls play here. The energy was lit! Great location. Great customer service! Would definitely go again. Highly recommend

Mr. Henry's Restaurant: what do users think?

Giovana Cianciarulo: My boyfriend and I came to visit the DC area and were recommended to visit Mr. Henry’s. As music lovers, we absolutely LOVED the musicians and Dominique Bianco‘s performance! Our server, Pat, was incredibly sweet and offered a dessert at the end when the food took some time to make (which we didn’t even notice because the jazz show was that good!) I recommend the steak, it was delicious! Mr. Henry’s, we will definitely be back!

Kristen Mehr, Truly Fine Homes: Went back for old times sake after 15 years...used to live around-the-corner from it on Capital Hill. Still same atmosphere but the nachos were not as I remember... too many beans...but their other food was good. Great neighborhood joint!

Nik Kei: Got the seafood platter which sounded good on paper but when it was brought out….. It was underwhelming to say the least. It was missing the fried oysters. It’s old dark and dingy to me and was just not impressed. Waiter was great though. I honestly don’t know why this place gets great reviews. Felt it was misleading.

Arash E: We went here for the jazz night on Wednesday and immediately fell in love with it, most of all for the staff's hospitality and the lively vibe. The food was great and the drinks were formidable. We asked them to pack the rest of the food and they gave us a fresh portion to go! Amazing! Just try to arrive early for the jazz night, otherwise it gets really busy.

Bhavik Sharma: Visited this place for the first time in 2018. Visiting again today. Love this place. The food is awesome and the people are so courteous

t mac: The food was great for my first time. But the waitress we had was not attentive and did not check to make sure we good or offer specials or what try out being though it was our first time.

Karen Abdulrasheed: Crab cake sandwich and spicy crab dip was delicious and was capped off with brownie sundae Service was excellent and food served hot. Waiter was friendly and efficient. Will definitely come back to dine again next trip to DC

Emily Lumley: My husband and I live nearby and this has become our go to spot. We come here every few weeks for Rita Tuesdays, amazing old bay wings, great service and HH deals you can’t beat in this area. Favorite Dish - Old Bay Wings and The Reuben 😅 Atmosphere - chill and family friendly, highly recommend!

Caleb Tacuri: Music was great. I was able to find a parking spot in front even though we got there a bit late, which was convenient. Waiters were polite and helpful. Only problem was our food was given to us with a dead fly on it which was a turn off and we ended up leaving. You might have a better experience if you don’t eat here.

Faith Mitchell: Was disappointed with my visit here as I always hear good things. Drinks were good, but the food was not. One item was clearly not made correctly as the taste was so off i couldn’t eat it. Fries undercooked, The burger and the fish sandwich I had tasted like they had no seasoning at all and the wings were fried way too hard. I couldn’t recommend.

State Theatre: what do users think?

Daniel W: Lots of fun. Comedy show. Service was good. Show was good Got the grilled wings and blue moon beers. Doors opened at 1900 show started at 2030. Got there at 1930. Place was setup for comedy show specifically. Tables on first floor (half reserved (2 days in advance) half first come first serve with food minimum purchase) upstairs had balcony, movie theatre seats and high chairs with drink rail. The balcony had about 20 seats along rail but is mostly for standing. Bathrooms clean and venue were old (1920s movie theatre) but clean. Will definitely be returning. Configuration is different for different show types (like concerts). Parking was easy (hospital parking garage across street).

N. Moore: Nice Venue! Friendly staff. Enjoyed food and drink, plus comedy show a little over 20 bucks.

Chloie French: I was having a great time. Then a waitress yelled at me to be quiet during a comedy show…….. the people behind me were also laughing very loud. Then when I went to the bar to order a drink she gave me very ugly looks. I felt very uncomfortable and will not be coming back. I really do not understand what I did to deserve this behavior. Other than that the drinks and food were having good. I just felt so uncomfortable from her being nasty to me I will not be coming back. I will also be posting about this on all my social media.

Sally Hamilton-White: The staff was very friendly. They were however UNDERstaffed. My food was cold and took about a hour to get my appetizers, definitely not worth the wait. Parking on weekends is easy,-free at the Kaiser, the drinks were reasonably priced and the talent is subjective. Not sure if I'll go back tho.

Tracy Morris: I attended the $5.00 comedy show on 032522 and it was a bargain for quality entertainment. There were 16 comedians and each was hilarious. Thus was my first attendance at the The State theatre but it won't be my last.

Anthony Shoraka: Good food ... full bar ... attentive and friendly service ... and FREE live music in an outdoor setting ... what more can you possibly ask for?

Ronda Bernstein: It is an interesting venue in that it is a mix of tables and standing area. They could definitely fit more people in if it wasn't for the tables. But it is small enough to have a good view from anywhere (except the tables since people are standing in front of you). Seems to be *the* place to go if you like tribute bands. Parking is free on the Friday nights and the weekends in a garage across the street. Also, staff at the venue are quite pleasant and do a great job helping out and keeping aisles clear.

Ramiro Marquez: We had our wedding reception here and are absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out. The staff was super helpful and really went above and beyond. The communication was great during planning. For the event, we really felt like they were happy to be there. Everything went without any issues whatsoever. If you’re considering this as a venue for a reception, I would highly encourage you to do so.

Adam Grafton: Visited during the Demonatized Tour.A thoroughly excellent venue with a variety of seating, a fantastic menu and wonderful service! I do advise getting the steak & cheese with fries~

Dustin R: Surprisingly spacious inside. Food was good, we has the loaded tots with chili and the tots were crispy even though it was covered in cheesy chili goodness, was definitely enough for 2. Also had the chicken tender and they were good also. Mixed drinks were like $8 but considering the location and that its an entertainment venue i guess thats not too bad. Would definitely attend events here again

Bobby McKey's Dueling Piano Bar: what do users think?

Titi: Great experience! Extremely talented musicians and our waitress was so nice. Only negative is having to sit so close to strangers if you are in a small group. Especially in these times. Other than that, we had a great time and definitely recommend!
Response: Thanks so much for this great review Titi!

Blue Girl: It’s always fun coming to this place, I love it. So far I had nothing but wonderful experiences with this place. Great drinks and staff are super friendly. We like coming a little bit late when everyone’s a little buzz, more musicians at the stage and customers singing along. Definitely a place worth checking out when visiting National harbor.
Response: Thanks so much for this great review Blue Girl!

Josef Gasimov: Excellent place to spend Saturday night with talented musicians, good drink menu and OK food. Bring lots of cash so you can order your favorite songs or mention birthday or anniversary etc. On Saturdays place stays up past midnight and opens door at 7pm with piano folks starting around 8pm. $35 admission fee is best money spent. Except food which was ok everything else was perfect. Definitely a place to come back to!
Response: Thanks so much for this great review Josef! We appreciate your business and you taking the time to share about your experience.

Alma Cochran: Definitely would recommend. The staff was amazing, musicians were extremely talented. The only thing that would make this a bad experience is if you had a crowd that wasn’t engaged, but the staff and musicians didn’t let that happen for me
Response: Thanks for this really great review Alma!

Shawn Bartley: You must go!!! These musicians are amazing!!! Rock stars!!! Great atmosphere. Great experience!!!
Response: Thanks so much Shawn, this review is awesome!

Kat B: 10/10 , highly recommend this for brunch with the girls or family . Definitely best for people who have a sense of humor . By the end of the brunch, my partner and I ended up on stage dancing to the piano version of “the thong song” lol We had a blast , felt like a safe place to be silly & for all ages above 21 , (they weren’t kidding about unlimited mimosas ), we never had an empty cup . There was a group of gals celebrating their 60th, another group of bachelorette ladies, and group celebrating a birthday . Although we were all strangers it felt like we were all celebrating together which speaks towards the welcoming ambiance and hosts of the brunch .
Response: Wow Kat, thanks for this really detailed review. You're totally sharing your experience with everyone and we appreciate you taking the time to post. You're the best!

Jennifer Osborne: We had such a great date night at Bobby McKey’s! Wow, the musicians are EXCELLENT, and their energy and enthusiasm is infectious. Hilarious too! Food was pretty tasty, but it’s definitely bar food. I recommend the egg rolls! (However, I don’t recommend the McKEY’S Breeze cocktail unless you like your drinks VERY sweet!) Definitely recommend checking this place out if you want a fun night at the harbor!
Response: Thanks for this great review Jennifer! Glad that you spent such a fun date night with us.

LeCarro & Sharde': Took my wife here for Date Night... I was skeptical about going.. But, hey my wife loves live music.. Gave them a try... Must say we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves... The atmosphere, the sweet Heat wings were the best wings I've ever had... The music was excellent, entertaining, & just a great vibe... Don't think about going.. Just Go.. Goto our tiktopage for our video on this place at LeCarro.and.sharde
Response: Thanks so much for this really great review! So glad that you joined us and had such a good time.

Adriane Bowman: Since nobody is going to say it, the brunch food was nasty. The food was cold and bland. The only thing I enjoyed was my Sprite. Then as much as they charged (along with gratuity up front) the food was served on plastic plates like we were at a cookout. The dueling piano show was nice however, I would not return.
Response: Adriane, thanks for your business and honest feedback. Sorry to hear that we didn't meet your expectations. We clearly have some work to do and will continue to strive for a begtter output. I hope that you enjoyed the show.

Karly Coppinger: This place is extremely overpriced. Tickets alone for a table seat are 25$ then mixed drinks are $15, shots $11, and beers $6-8. Not to mention the cups served with the drinks were very small not tall at all. Then if you want to put in a song request you have to provide a tip to the piano players… let alone they didn’t know half the songs we would put up for request.
Response: Karly, I guess it's all about geography and perspective. How much do you value 4 talented musicians with an incredible repertoire. Our pricing is definitely competitive to the DC metro area. A pedal your own boat cruise in our neighborhood goes for $50. We think $25 is extremely fair.

The Anthem: what do users think?

Maria Park: We went to the Anthem Theater to see LP in concert. My husband and I are disabled and we were astonished at how accommodating they were! We were seated in an ADA accessible section, allowed in right on time without having to stand in line. The bathrooms were very close, as was the bar and food. And the music was superb. We had a fantastic time! We will be back.

Vy H.: Came here recently for a Rebelution concert—it was my first time here and wow this venue is so nice— has a fancy vibe, and venue space is huge! There are plenty of bars around the complex, and even an outdoor patio on the second floor to hang out—the 2nd floor lobby bar is even open after the concert ends! Drink prices are reasonable, and they do offer some food options as well. I would recommend getting seats high up versus the general floor—they are like assigned box seats and you get a good view of the stage without any interference. Also, their sound system is amazing, I really enjoyed the concert experience here!

Dan Soukup: Awesome venue! Went for the first time to see Eric Church. Love that most the place is general admission. We ended up right up front. There were what they call super excellent seats that are the first couple of rows in the balconies and were something like double the cost of general admission tix, but they were very hard to get and sold out quickly and also can't be transferred (they check IDs when you arrive to make sure whoever purchased is attending). I heard they also come with a special VIP entrance so you don't have to arrive as early. The balconies also have a couple general admission standing rows behind the super excellent seats. Facility was super clean, the sound was great, plenty of bars ($9+ for beers though) and pretty much ever place in the theater had great views of the stage. This is now my new favorite venue in the area. Do yourself a favor and take the metro in or park 10-15 minute walk away to save some dough on parking. Very expensive and limited parking at The Wharf itself. Great show and can't wait to go to another!

Marc Neilson: This is a lovely venue and very accommodating when it comes to varying levels of viewing options. For example, if you get general admission, you can choose standing room only on the floor, but there are also options on levels 2 and 3 for standing, which is what I did for the last concert. There is plenty of seating options as well. Being a smaller venue, it never felt overcrowded except I guess for those who choose to pack near the front in general admission. I was able to walk around during a concert and choose various viewing areas, plus purchase food and drinks with minimal waiting. Note, there is a lovely coffee bar on level 3 that also serves non-alcoholic beer. I gave it 3 stars as I feel they have an issue with their air conditioning. I am not sure if the venue has air conditioning, or if it was broken that night, or if they simply chose not to use it. It was miserably hot inside (concert was on July 12), and the artist had to stop the show 5 times due to people passing out. Many of the people attending had been waiting in the hot sun for hours before entry, so you can imagine going from an oven outside to an oven inside. I can't imagine seeing any shows mid-summer, as it must be unbearable inside. The venue did distribute free water and tried to help the people suffering, but it definitely took away some enjoyment of the show and of course, I felt bad for those whose night was ruined. So, if you really must see a show during the summer, don't bother waiting in the sun, there are plenty of good viewing points. You can just come when doors open. Be sure to hydrate well before attending and make sure you get water at the venue. Otherwise, wait until the Fall or Winter.

Ashley: I'm SO glad I saw LP live...a tiny angelic pistol, full of fire. The range, the whistles, the vibe...what a great performance! Nice concert hall...plenty of restrooms & bars scattered throughout. The food I ate there was pretty good too.

David Glotfelty: Great aesthetics, really cool location. The acoustics were less than desirable. The bass just sounded like one big hum. (The bottom end was exceeding the speakers power handling capability.) The vocals were all but lost in the bass mush. But what surprised me most was that the opening group used the exact same equipment at the exact same settings. I've attended many concerts and the opening acts are never allowed to use the headliner's stuff. The headliner should blow you away after the opening acts. That was not the case for this concert.

Greg Bollrud: The Anthem is a good time. Big enough for a crowd but still feels intimate. Box seats if you don’t want to be on the floor (which is remarkably clean). Great vibe with drinks and food at a reasonable price. But what got it 5 stars is that it has a water fountain.

Fer Paints: I went to the Louis Tomlinson show and it was amazing. The sound, the lightning, everything. What I saw, though, was lack of support from the venue workers in order to help when things got out of control a bit with camping being allowed or not and then inside the venue. I got the impression that they didn't want to get involved even when it was their job. Anyway, Louis Team was very helpful as usual and the show was amazing either way. I had a great time and the anthem being located in the wharf it's absolutely beautiful.

Em Callahan, she-they: This venue is gorgeous and well kept! I went to concert, drink and bathroom lines and weren't too long. Sound and crowd was fun. There's even a water bottle filling station. 🚰

ghostface: saw MARINA here in February and had the best time! the show was amazing and the venue is so nice. all of the staff was very helpful and had everything well organized. I also appreciate the covid vaccination requirements because it makes me feel a lot safer. entering and exiting the building was very fast and went smoothly unlike other shows i’ve been to in the past. the seats I had were amazing and I had a great view of the stage. I liked that even though they were floor seats they still had comfortable chairs to sit on instead of being forced to stand. overall, it was an amazing experience and went beyond my expectations. I had the best night ever and I will be going to all of my future concerts here. in fact, I just bought tickets to see phoebe bridgers here in June and i’m so excited to return!

The Crown & Crow: what do users think?

M planetmike: Decorated a bit like a bar from Harry Potter's world, this bar is both cozy and spacious. Hook and the rest of the staff were awesome. Even for a Tuesday night, it was surprisingly busy. This is a bar. Food can be brought in. There is a small stage with a large screen where events are televised or can be used for karaoke nights. Thankfully, this bar minimizes the use of televisions, which are unneeded distractions. This is conveniently located near Thomas Circle and at the Southern end of the 14th Street scene.
Response: You can always count on us for a good time. Hope to have you back for another round sometime soon! -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

Christopher Yuen: I was in town for a business meeting and I took a few friends out to this bar on a whim and we had a blast! The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were unique and delicious! I had so much fun I ended up leaving my blazer at the bar. I called the manager Graham a few days later and he mailed it back to me all the way to Connecticut. He’s awesome and this place is too!!!!!
Response: Thanks Christopher, it's our pleasure to host you and your friends!

Melissa Hough: This might be my perfect bar. So warm and cozy, the staff is incredible, the drinks are good. It's never been packed (at least on a weekday night) which makes me feel better about the VID. I'd been here a few times before but last night went for the first time on my Dry January stint and they were awesome. Bartender made a tasty mocktail AND they have non-alcoholic beer! So glad I found this gem.
Response: We're thrilled to be your perfect bar, Melissa. You can always count on us for tasty drinks, even during Dry January! We hope you'll be back to see us again for round two sometime soon. -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

Chablis owens: It's the best bar in the city. The owner is an incredible person and if you get the chance to be served by him your night is going to be a thousand times better than you thought it would be. It is legitimately the best experience at a bar in DC you can possibly find. And it's not even a strip club. That's rare.
Response: Thanks for coming by, you rock and were lucky to have guests like you!

Annie: Cool bar with a chill vibe. Came here on a Monday night at 630 and there were only 2 other groups. Not the typical DC bar. There are a few tables and the bar to sit at. The cucumber mule was really good!
Response: You can always count on us for good vibes and great drinks, Annie. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your cucumber mule. Come back and see us for more cocktails in the future! -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

Noah Wahquahboshkuk: Aesthetically pleasing atmosphere and 2 sides to choose for your pleasure. The first side is more of an elbow-to-elbow-packed environment with loud music. The second side is a more relaxed spread out environment to hold more intimate conversations with friends. Being new to the area, ordering a beverage similar to the drink of preference (Weiser) was difficult due to the unfriendly bartenders. Kinda gave me the you-don't-belong-here vibe. The suggested brew was not the best, but the gin and tonic was great! Bathrooms clean as well as the main areas. Would come back and maybe study up on what is offered on tap.
Response: You can always expect good vibes from our place, Noah. We’d never want you to feel like you don’t belong here, and we’re sorry if that was the case. Next time you swing by, we’ll make sure to find you a brew you’ll love. Hope to see you back soon so we can impress you with our friendly service and unique tap selection. -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

David Benjamin: Booked a private event in their larger bar area and cannot say enough good things about Lindsay and the team as well as the space. The drinks were great, we received numerous compliments from our guests on the venue, and Lindsay was a huge help planning the whole thing. By far the best, most professional experience I've had booking an event space/bar in the DMV!
Response: We’re so happy you enjoyed your experience. We look forward to seeing you again. Thank you so much for the kind words.

Corey Nolan: Always have a great time in this nostalgic Bar. Brian "Bar Man" has done an outstanding job building his dream. Staff is super friendly and they have stepped up their cocktail game since I last visited. Glad I was able to ring in 2022 in such good company! Thanks C&C team! Stay safe!
Response: We're glad to hear you always have a great time with us, Corey. Our friendly staff is always here to take care of you and treat you to a cocktail. We hope you'll be back to celebrate with us sometime soon. -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

Adriana Cortés-Buelvas: I absolutely love the Crown and Crow. Great cocktails and a huge offer on drinks. Great indie rock music, feels like an Irish experience.Graham is the nicest!
Response: You can always count on us to show you a good time, Adriana! We're happy to hear you enjoyed your cocktails and the music. Hope to have you back again sometime soon! -Cheers, The Crown & Crow

Adam Adam: I went there for the first time last night I had the worst bartender in town. First he didn't even greet me or anything he walked up to me and asked me very rudely what do you wanna drink didn't, but I seen him greeting other guest properly so if I had to guess it might have to do with the fact I have an accent. I wasn't very familiar with the beers so asked him what's the lighter beer you have he laughs and said Guinness. I never been treated this way in this city.
Response: Adam, very sorry you had that experience, The Crown and Crow's staff represents cultures from 3 continents. One of our core values is that "everyone is invited to the party." I'm Brian, the owner/manager and I bartend on Fridays, please come by and let me buy you a drink and show you the hospitality that we are known for.

Union District Oyster Bar & Lounge: what do users think?

Vanessa Blackwood: A group of us went to celebrate a friend's birthday on 4/22/22. We chose VIP seating. We were escorted to our seats, and waited for at least 20 minutes before we saw the employee who seated us. We advised him that a waitress had not come by our table to take our drink or food orders. He got a waitress quickly and she took our drink orders. She informed us that the kitchen was behind and that there was a pause on taking food orders. During that wait, we did enjoy the DJ and the live band. We were given the opportunity to order, but it seemed as though just about everything was sold out. We were told that there was no more chicken, nor pizzas. We opted for fried oysters, and truffle fries. The oysters had absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. Additionally, tables next to us got wings after we were told that the chicken was finished. (that group arrived significantly later than we did.) TLDR: The music was great, but the food and service left a lot to be desired. Go and enjoy the music, but have dinner somewhere else first.

Michael Anderson: Enjoyed the food and enjoyed the service from the bartenders. My friend and I had never been here and decided to give it a try. The food was great, excellent bartenders and very courteous staff however, management(short Hispanic woman) tonight was horrible. She approached my friend and I tonight while we were at the bar spending a lot of money and reached in to grab a seat at the bar. We kindly told her his wife was on the way in from the car and we were told by her the seats at the bar had a reservation even though we had been sitting there eating and drinking over an hour prior to her coming up to snatch the seat. Who reserves seats at a bar? She had a very nasty attitude and when we kindly said this seat is taken and that my friends wife had walked out to the car, but was coming right back the manager said she was the owner and she had the right to take the seat. I paid our bill and tipped our awesome waiter and then we left. I made sure to tip well tonight, but we will not be back. Again the food is great, but the lady/management on the staff tonight was absolutely horrible with customer service. I really feel bad for your bartenders. They lost a lot of money tonight.

Arlene Fleming: I really didn’t want to post this due to the pandemic and businesses need to stay afloat however, my husbands birthday event was straight out of a “pranked” episode. The only good thing was the drinks. A one hour dinner turned into four hours because of the food. I worked with the chef for weeks preparing for the dinner for ten. The menu was wrong, the orders were wrong. The dessert was burned so the chef offered sugar rice. Then tried to charge full price. I continue to have nightmares about the event and finally decided to leave a review because as much as I want to support businesses, businesses should work to receive support!

Iris Odor: I patronized this business for the first time post covid and it was disappointing. I have visited previously and it was always great drinks, food and hospitality, so I had expectations. I invited friends for happy hour and there was a bartender who did a poor job of conveying the happy hour menu and bamboozled us into spending $35 for 1 plate of food (fish n chips) and got everyone's order wrong. I understand that businesses are still making up their losses, but that 20% gratuity should cover it. I'm not sure if it's under new management, but I will not return and will spend my dollars elsewhere. I gave 2 stars because the fish was good. $60 for 2 drinks and 1 plate during a happy hour

Keshia Wideman: We celebrated here on Karaoke Wednesday. What a fun, entertaining, and sociable setting. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the band was lit 🔥. Kareem, and his wife where very nice to us with our 101 year old uncle. Yes, he was so excited about the women , and the music. We felt so good to be among our dmv people. Will definitely be returning.

Melissa Bostic: It was my first visit for a good friend's birthday party. The atmosphere was great and the staff/ DJ/food was on point!

Rachel Haywood: I think this might be the worst meal I’ve had in my 8 years living in DC. There’s a reason this place was almost empty at 7:30 on a Saturday night in the busy union market neighborhood. The shrimp and grits were comparable to Waffle House, the wine was room temperature (and it was about 80 degrees inside), and the cocktails were watered down and overly sweet. Oysters were fine but some of them were really small. Everyone working there was super nice, except for one guy who, when asked if there was soup available, laughed….it’s listed on your menu - this is not an absurd question to ask. The menu was also pretty pathetic. Several people came in and left after looking at it. This place would be a fantastic candidate for Bar Rescue. It’s got potential but there’s no way in hell I’m coming back given the million other options in DC.

kelli johnson: This place used to be amazing.. but apparently going down hill fast. They cut the amount of food down, however the price stayed the same.. the food didn't taste as good as I remembered it. The charbroiled oysters were just ok.. the wings were over cooked & instead of getting 10 like I was supposed to, I only got 7 & the only explanation I got for it was "oh we cut down ".. I guess the cut down on the raw oysters as well because I was only able to get a half dozen, but again the price was the same. In addition, the bathrooms we dirty.. urine everywhere! Highly disappointed

HersheyKiss Shelton: Great ambiance! Gives grown vibes! If the club is open then so should the kitchen. It's always closed. I ordered chargrilled oysters, it was more like they heated the oysters, then sprinkled cheese and served them. No seasoning no taste oysters very small yet over priced. Do better!!!

D Harper: Great Food. Very Friendly service. Atmosphere was welcoming. 1st floor is great for dinner or watching the games at the bar. 2nd floor gives a more Intimate, chill, lounge feel. Excellent vibe.

The Birchmere: what do users think?

Christian Lamas: My wife and I went to the High Kings concert here and were very surprised by the building itself. It was really cool to get to watch the High Kings in person. It’s a cool venue, very clean and spacious. Lots of musical history in that building and displayed all over in the artwork. It is a nice blend of modern and vintage. I’m looking forward to coming back again.

Sassy Sauce: This is a great venue and we have gone here for years. There are great performers that come through every month and it never gets old. The venue is relatively small and intimate. I’ve sat al over the venue and there isn’t a bad seat in the place. People get there early to get up close but it’s not necessary. It’s structured where everyone can have a good view of the stage. The menu is smaller post Covid but it still has a few good selections. Stay away from the mozzarella sticks. The bread pudding is good though! They have a great root beer too.

Syerra Carigo: I visited last Friday with my husband for a Judith Hill concert and we had a blast. It was my first time at this venue and I really liked the ambiance. We weren’t really spaced out much, but it was nice being in a communal setting again. The food wasn’t 5 star, but it was good for the moment. I’d definitely recommend eating before you go or just snacking on appetizers. Other than that, our waitress was very lively and friendly. All in all a good experience; I’d definitely go back for another show.

Mike E: A great music venue, and I think that my favorite part is that there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. It was fun enjoying a cold beer while watching a talented band. I can see myself going back often.

Zade Jumaily: We visited yesterday for the Air Supply concert and we had such a great time. It was my first time at this venue and I really liked the atmosphere and the place set up. The food was great too and the server was very friendly. I would recommend being there very early to secure good seats. All in all a great experience; I’d definitely go back for another show.

Mike Tucker: You don't need me to tell you to go experience a premier concert venue that seamlessly combines food, fund, and free parking. Go, just to scan the walls covered with music royalty--past, present, and future. Go, and chill to the tunes while munching tasty snacks, entrees, and cold brews. Go, because it can improve your mood. My recent visit to hear legendary composer, arranger, producer, et al, David Foster--whose portfolio includes Whitney Houston and Chicago--is a case in point. It took me about 20-30 minutes to get my head into the innovative offerings because the tragedy of the Buffalo shootings continued to weigh heavy on my mind. But the talent and humor from the legend, his live guests, and video appearances from Kenny G, Celine Dion, and Josh Groban eventually soothed my troubled spirit and made for a wonderful evening. Ah, the power of music!

Cory Laws: I've been to the Birchmere many times over the years. This time was different. The food was better than before; considerably better. And 8 was taken by the acoustics and sound engineering. As an audiophile, I'm "trained" to listen critically, but I don't usually in concert situations. The best acoustic/sound engineering in recent memory was at The Barns of Wolftrap, known for it's acoustic design. I was stunned at the clarity, crispness, and effortless presentation during the show. From every instrument, including operatic and jazz vocalists, the sound was sublime. I need to get back, as when we left I forgot to pay homage and give props to the sound engineer. It was his show, and he hit it out of the park. Utter perfection.

Jack Hartzman: This is a great place to see a show. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. Come early for a better seat and enjoy he upscale bar food.

Madi L: Went there for the first time yesterday for the MJ Tribute band show. I didn't know such cozy concert venue existed before!! I was super impressed to see the venue checking everyone's COVID vaccine card upon entrance. This is the first time I was ever vaccine carded in Virginia and it made me feel at ease walking into a crowded place. So the seating is first come first serve and we sat at a table near the back. Still, the view was really good until people started standing up. I was kinda upset during the concert because this one family kept standing up and blocked everyone's view (as you can see in the picture. Michael Jackson was COMPLETELY blocked from the view during all the hit songs). Not only me but other families around were visibly upset. I wish the Birchmere staff instructed everyone to remain seated before the concert started. I felt like the staff could have told that family to sit down but I know everyone was busy catering to guests. I am not gonna deduct a star for that though since it's that annoying family who is at fault and not the staff. But please learn from my experience and go get a seat early when they open the door. Dinner portion was surprisingly big and we had spinach dip as an appetizer, fish&chips, vegetable stack couscous, and a sandwich. All of our entrees were tasty and plenty. Our waitstaff, Spencer, was attentive and refilled our drinks without disturbing us during the concert. I had a very good experience at the venue (minus that family) and I plan on returning in the future many more times.

Doris Corley: Great food and customer service. It has live music concerts. I had the honor to purchase tickets for the famouse "Ohio Players". They were excellent and so was the service from the business. Thank you!

Harlot DC Lounge & Restaurant: what do users think?

nakea fountaine: BEAUTIFUL PLACE!! I would never recommend! Everything was nasty to me and my friends. None of us enjoyed our food! And the service was terrible! Banana pudding taste like the box and not in a we hooked it up kind of way but straight bland and almost chalky. Steak and eggs was nasty eggs bland, shrimp and grits nasty, bread pudding was like someone messed up baking and just served it eggs Benedict w salmon nasty They didn’t bring condiments and the server would walk away so fast and be gone for so long. AND TO TOP IT OFF MY FRUIT WAS NOT RIPE IT WAS ROTTEN! not to mention I ordered fresh fruit with yogurt and honey, I wasn’t informed when I ordered that they had ran out of yogurt! Oh and my salad didn’t come w the croutons either but I seen them on other salads. Very dissatisfied, and we paid a pretty penny too. I would suggest you all hire more staff on your really busy time of the year or whatever I think if you had more staff a lot of this would’ve been avoided. Also I love my Hispanic people but it’s difficult to get help from them when I can’t communicate w them so the server needed to come back but I couldn’t find her. Very frustrating!

Tikesha Ross: Belly was the best server ever she made our experience so great! The food was good the music was good. Me and my friends really enjoyed ourselves….. Thank you Bellly ❤️❤️
Response: THank you so much! Please come again!

TeQuila Carroll: This place is cute. Like IG worthy but that’s it lol Went here for brunch on Sunday, of course, and it was just OK. No valet parking. They take reservations but I think b/c EVERYBODY has been here it was not packed at all. Suitable for all ages (21-50). The food was subpar. Bottle service was a joke to me. They have hookah, electric, which was very different than your standard coal option. It’s a set menu for brunch. $35 for a appetizer, entree, and dessert. You can order Mimosas by the glass or opt for the “bottle service”(6 mini bottles of champagne) with a complimentary juice. If you want extra juice it’s $10. Don’t let the camera guy fool you. It’s $20 a photo. They do have a DJ but they seemed inexperienced. I’m glad I went b/c it was so hyped. But I’m wouldn’t return.

Briana “Bre” Williams: A very nice and chic lounge. The decor is amazing and the seafood mac n' cheese is delish. Plus, the drinks were on point whenever they arrived. The downside, the wait staff was a little slow. Overall, it was a great time and we were celebrating a birthday so if you're thinking about a birthday gathering this is a great place to start. They also serve smokeless hookah (that's the first time we had heard of it but we liked it) that you have to order from the hookah girl.
Response: Thank you so much for taking your time to write a review and support our business!

Shavon Alicia B: I enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere. The food not so much. Our waiter was super sweet and nice. This more of a vibe, smoke hookah spot and a light meal like wings. Not a really Brunch ,due to the food being just ok.
Response: Thank you Shavon for sharing your expeence with us! We are working hard to get better on every level! Please, tell us what exactly did you order?

Brittani George: I will continue to support this business and make sure to come back. I went here to see my first drag brunch for my bachelorette party (part 2), and the place, food, staff, and performers were all top-notch.
Response: Dear Brittani! Thank you so much! We work hard to get that reaction from our beloved customers! And we are very happy it’s noticeable! Thank you for your support!

Misha Hill: We were there for Frequency Fridays and I'd give the party 4 stars too. Great venue, the downstairs is spacious with good seating for bottle service and plenty of space to dance and mingle. Cheeky decor set the vibe and the bottle girls and bartenders were great. We had an issue with management or the promoter around bottle prices, but they were somewhere accommodating. Just be wary if you book for Frequency Friday on Eventbrite, the bottle prices listed may not be what's available.

Carla Ferguson (Your Bon Viveur): I attended a birthday brunch here. The atmosphere was great, especially with the beautiful decor. Our server was excellent and so attentive to all of our needs, requests, etc. The brunch was excellent, shout out to the chefs. All of the food that we had was great! So, it was all good until....we tried to get drinks from the bar. Service was slow, there were 2 bartenders but 1 was mostly working. The one bartender was also rude as she seemed very overwhelmed. Then it went downhill with the promoters and management....We spent over $1,300 on brunch and hundreds at the bar for additional drinks. We tried to pay for a table for the Birthday Girl, and received incorrect information about what was required. Instead of kindly explaining to us what was required they rudely came over and asked us to get up. Now, I'll be the first to say that if I want to spend any amount of money, I will, and that wasn't a problem, but what I don't condone is rude customer service! It was all good up until that point. Please work on that management because if a promoter is in your establishment they represent you and your establishment. Also if you don't respect your customers through their entire experience then you will eventually continue to loose faithful, paying customers. Sometimes we all need an attitude check. Giving respect, earns respect! Great Food + Atmosphere + Good CUSTOMER SERVICE = Repeat Customers

Ryan Morton: I would not recommend this place. My boyfriend tried to surprise me for my birthday to come here. We were running a little late because we were looking for parking. They did not inform us that we had to be on time or you will lose your reservation. So we lost our reservation after 15 minutes. Once my boyfriend spoke with the people at the door, they told us to go online to request a refund and reschedule. We try to request the refund online, and then received an ignorant response. “Unfortunately you were late, no refunds.” The people that work there in front of the door advised us to go online and request a refund and reschedule. I would never come here, I would never tell my friends to come here, I would never recommend this place. Definitely went somewhere else for my birthday and had a ball. I hope y’all step your customer service game up one day, because if not, y’all would definitely lose business.
Response: Dear Ryan! We are very sorry, that you had a bad experience with your party. We do put our reservation policy and 15 minutes grace period in confirmation email and remainder email. Unfortunately, to be able to accommodate all the following parties on time - we have to stick to our rules and show the same appreciation to all of our guests. We always ask our guests to tell us if they are running late. There are options to do that right from your email with confirmation. All our team sends you Happy Birthday wishes and we are happy you enjoyed your party anyways!

Vocalbeast AJ: It saddens me to have to give this place such a low rating. I’ve passed this place many times on Sunday and wondered how their brunch was. I took a friend for her birthday, and I was very disappointed. Firstly, their website stressed the important of being on-time, however, we waited in line and didn’t get in until after our reservation time. The line was cramped and people also were being allowed to just walk in the front of the line because their party had already been waiting...causing a further delay for us to give our contact into and do the temperature checks. The server was anything but pleasant. She kept forgetting our order, and got an attitude when I ask for a manager considering after well over an hour my food had not arrived. Both dishes were done incorrect, but more importantly my own which came finally well after my friend finished eating hers. I ordered a MW steak which came out WellDone, and fried hard eggs that came out over easy. When the first plate came out...like I said well before the second plate but still about an hour after the order was placed, the server made a guess that it belong to my friend. We order the same thing with a few differences. Here had an item on it that I specifically told the waitress I was allergic to. The manager on duty was polite and attempted his best to resolve it, but unfortunately his efforts feel extremely short. I was totally dissatisfied and turned off by the experience. The food I received came as they were transitioning into their next phase of dinning, clearly exceeding two hours. We stayed to finish our drinks we purchased, paid for the bill, and continued on to another spot nearby so I could eat. I thought about giving them another shot because the decor is amazing and the music was right on time...however this is not a solo or duo type place. You need a group of 4 or more to get seating that won’t be by the bathroom or in an area where staff including management can stand. I dealt with three guys above 6 feet who worked there including security standing right by me so they could watch the game. Clearly violating the six feet rule. I asked if they could move and they ignored me until I asked a staff member to ask them. This caused people to but my table trying to pass them and my person. I love football, but also like being in good health. I can’t recommend this place for food, but it def attracts a nice young adult crowd where the majority are pretty well put together if you’re looking to network.

Laporta's Restaurant: what do users think?

Janell MciLwain (That Real Estate Chick): First time here and they didn’t disappoint. The food was fabulous and the atmosphere was so pleasant. Smooth Jazz over the delicious crab cakes. Everyone enjoyed the evening and it was a great pre Father’s Day dinner. Kudos to everyone.

Willie Fitzpatrick III: My wife and I went here at the last minute before they closed (7/16/21) and it was a great choice. Laporta's is cute and quaint. I especially love how our waiter really loves his job and loves who he works for, because it definitely showed. My expectations weren't that high walking in honestly but they well exceeded it!. My wife and I both loved the seafood soup and the butter bread for the mushroom appetizer. One minor note that would need changing in my opinion would be the use of only fresh ingredients. For example, I had the clam and shrimp dish, the dish consisted of 4 fresh clams and throughout the noodles was canned clams, and you can definitely taste the difference....but again overall the food was satisfying! If your looking for a family environment type service definitely visit this place.👌🏾

Amanda (WhatsDaHype): We went on a Saturday evening. I like that the garage next to the restaurant has free parking on the weekends and after 4 pm during the week. They also had a live jazz band and outdoor seating. We sat in the section next to the bar and there seemed to be one waitress for the area because she was the only one taking orders for the tables. So ordering our food took some time. The cocktails weren’t anything special to me. Very simple. We had a sangria and a la mela dolce. The entrees were good! The almond encrusted mahi mahi was hearty and the sides were flavorful. The coconut encrusted salmon was tasty but we choose Mac and cheese instead of the rice the dish comes with. The Mac and cheese was unexpectedly spicy. I wouldn’t order it again. The carrot cake was not the traditional carrot cake I thought it would be but it was delicious and moist. I didn’t miss the cream cheese icing surprisingly.

Evelyn Quiroz: We came in for restaurant week, and this place was a pleasant find. They had a live jazz band playing while we ate. The service was top notch, our waitress helped us pick out the best options based on our taste. We ordered the hangar steak and laporta's pasta. I was a big fan of the pasta, the spice was perfect. The hangar steak came with Mac and cheese, which may be the best Mac and cheese I've ever had.

Antoinette Joy: Celebrated my friend's birthday and the service was great! I had 3 glasses of house Cabernet for $50...I was shocked.

Lina: Outstanding Foods and service! A little taste of heaven! The perfect place for music and food and drinks and I mean perfect. Their TuTu Mare by far the best I’ve ever had! Chunks of clams and loaded with shrimps and the sauce I mean authentic you can taste the love the chef put into the dish actually all the dishes were magnificent… we will be returning ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Rebecca Bowman: We arrived early, but the staff was able to seat us. The sangria was wonderfully spiced. I had the rich onion tart. I wasn't sure I would like it, but the flavor and texture were wonderful. Here's the kicker: my companion ordered a side of Brussels sprouts. They were so beautifully green that I couldn't resist. I have never had such perfectly prepared Brussels sprouts! They were a memorable treat. P.s. Loved having live music.

Robert Pompeo: This is one of my top 10 favorite Italian American restaurants! They do a very hard to find, perfect Ristretto Espresso! Ask for their home made thick sweet whip creme to sweeten the deal & a little sugar.... the best I ever had! Their dishes are always done to perfection. Try the smooth and creamy Lobster Bisque for an appetizer! The staff is always friendly. I wish I could give this establishment (6) stars instead of (5)! They also have soothing live jazz!

Nicholas Bennett: My girlfriend and I decided to have dinner at Laporta's on a Saturday night after reading great reviews. The food and service exceeded expectations. We will be back! Thanks for a great experience.

Mary C: Food is so tasty and has a wonderful atmosphere. It's my favorite date night dinner place!

JV's Restaurant: what do users think?

Natasha Brown: I really enjoyed this place. The food was great. I wanted a low calorie healthy dinner which they had and it was delicious. They served beer and wine only which was ok, I had a chardonnay. I would love to have had a margarita but wine was good enough. Service was great as well but the best part was the live jazz/blues band. Excellent entertainment!

Meg Elizabeth: We were in the area shopping and decided to stop in for a meal due to the ratings on this restaurant. There was music playing which was a nice surprise. The reason for this rating is due to the behavior of the door man. He came to our table three times during the end of our visit asking for $20 for a cover charge. On the first stop to our table, we told him we were just finishing our meal, didn’t have cash and that we were about to head out. At this time, the band was setting up their equipment. The second time he came over, the band started playing and we were waiting on our bill. The service was incredibly slow and it took awhile to get the check however, we did not mind because the waitress was sweet and very busy. On the third visit to our table the doorman just stood there and wouldn’t leave and just stared at us after he made smug expressions demanding $20, watching us sign the receipt. After paying $100+ for a meal and a couple drinks, we were utterly disgusted in his behavior. It is unbecoming to interrupt patrons THREE times demanding money while they are trying to pack up and leave. If people are already in the establishment and a band starts, let them finish eating and leave. I have been to many restaurants with live music and I have never be harassed and treated so poorly over a cover charge. Unfortunately, due to this frustrating experience, we will not be returning. Also, drink prices are not on the menu. We paid $9 for house wine in a plastic glass and $7 for blue moon which seemed steep for a dive bar.

John Velarde: I ate recently by chance, had to come in because it has my initials! I'm glad I did. Came here on a Tuesday or Wednesday night, which happens to be open mic night. Had live entertainment with my meal. They had a number of daily specials. I chose a ribeye steak for about $32. It was fantastic. It was huge and delicious, came with baked potato. I would put this steak against any steak form a fancy steakhouse. It was superb, and for $32 also a great deal. I have been to many fine dining restaurants and expensive steakhouses across the US, and I'm telling you that was one of THE BEST steaks I have ever had, and in that price range it is impressive. The food here is solid. They have music 7 nights a week. My only constructive criticism is the drink prices a re a little high. I had a beer and it was $8 or 9. No beers on tap. This place has been around since 1947. A real landmark. If I was going to recommend only 1 place in Falls Church Virginia, which has many good restaurants to choose from, this would be THE PLACE. My number one recommendation in the entire city.

Victor Espinoza: Brilliant. Magnificent. A work of history and great music. 👍 Don't miss this one if you are in town. Michael is very welcoming and takes ery good care of customer.

Colleen Lanthrip: The food is Like a home cooked meal and well proportioned. The weight staff is kind and friendly. The music is outstanding. There is something happening here every day. Don’t miss out on an adventure add the legendary JV’s.

Robert Sturgis: Can't go in and not hear a great band - whether it be on a Friday or Saturday Night, or any night of the week. Bring your own voice, strings and things and experience your own Rock 'n Roll Fantasy during a Tuesday or Wednesday open mic. Say hello to Loraine and introduce yourself to her staff - they will take care of you. Remember, if you got to make a call - take a ride in the last remaining "Phone Booth" in Northern Virginia...haha. A good time, great food, fine drinks and Triple Chocolate Cake too. It's been 74 years come November. Keep this train rolling.

Devon Hargis: This establishment is a dive bar, but thats what makes this so unique. On first impression you ask what did you get yourself into when you enter, but it grows in you. It has a small dancefloor that will accommodate 15 -20 people, but it's in bad condition and tears up you danceshoe soles.

Dorothy Patton: Family played music there.Son Micheal, Vernon Santmye, sisters Fledia, Sue, June and daughter of Vernon, Bonnie all great singers. And bar waitress wonderful. Great had by all.

Nate B: We enjoyed this place. They had a good band. Staff was friendly. They only serve wine and bottled beer for beverages. I would definitely recommend this place.

Glue Guy: Great live entertainment but don't recommend the food or service. Waited an hour for eggs and French Toast.

Shelly's Back Room: what do users think?

Rosalinda Edwards: Not a bad spot to go and enjoy a stick and or drink. The Bartender was likable, knowledgeable, and helpful. We tried two Korean whiskeys and they were both quite delicious. The ambiance is super chill and I loved that our vaccination cards were asked to get in. The thing that will have me come back is the food. My compliments to the chef! We had the crab and artichoke dip as well as the Tex Mex egg rolls and both selections were delicious. The layout is different and it was a bit hard to hear my talk. Overall I would visit again.

Lily Ayres: Delicious!! A great sized menu with so many options. I got the Thursday special which was a chicken tender cordon bleu sandwich, so good! Crispy and sooo juicy! The bun was so good and you can tell the fries are fresh cut! Was a nice dinner outside on the patio with great service!

Lincoln Ward: Best wings in DC. Stopped in for lunch. Great service, great food and appetizers. Great cocktails. Oh, and you can enjoy a cigar there too!

Klara Cheung: I love coming here. It's my 2nd time here and they have an extensive cigar and drink list for whiskey and scotch. We also ordered the Crab Artichoke Dip and Cheesy Bread that was pretty decent. The cocktail Japanese Soho was also really good. Good service, great cigars and a laid back atmosphere.

Bob Dole: I wanted to smoke a cigar and enjoy a nice drink, this place allowed me to do both. I came here with my fiance that doesn't like cigars (or alcohol) but we both had an enjoyable time. They've got a great selection of whiskey and alcohol in general, the prices are good and the staff are great. I would definitely come back again with someone that enjoys cigars and whiskey and expect to have a very good time.

Eric Starling: This was my favorite cigar spot but on multiple occasions I've found fruit flies in my drink. Normally when that's happened my drink was refilled with no complaints. Tonight for some reason Sonya decided to question whether it was cigar ash when it clearly was a fruit fly. Then to add insult to injury my drink, which was a double, was only partially refilled and then I was told it was filled to the same level it was when I found the fruit fly. This is a very popular place so I'm sure they won't miss my business but there shouldn't be fruit flies in drinks and you should accommodate for something like that because it genuinely suggests that there's a cleanliness issue with their bar. At any rate, despite how much I've enjoyed it in the past, will be my last time giving them my business.

Shaniece Stewart: Went to Shelly's for my dad and cousin's birthday. They visited from Michigan and they wanted to do an adult group activity. The cigar selection was great they said, I don't know because I don't smoke. I know my mom got the Chocolate cigar and my cousin she got the Cherry and they both liked them. Actually, being a non smoker and being inside didn't bother me, I had a great time. I really appreciate Shelly's wait staff and host accommodating our party of 9.

Jewlz: Shelly's makes an AWSOME Cobb Salad! The service was very good and it's nice that there is a place where cigar smokers can go indoors and do their thing without reservation. I am not a smoker. I just stopped for lunch and the place seemed well ventilated. Yes, I could still smell it, but it was tolerable. Will I stop in there again for lunch? Absolutely!

Alexis Faciane: Tasty cocktails made good cigars. Enjoyed our time here while in town

Gerald Piercey: Went to a cigar dinner. Food was excellent, I had a burger with cheese and bacon, friend had shrimp poorboy sandwich, both with fries. Staff was excellent, quick to refill glasses or deliver fresh drinks. Great place to smoke and enjoy quality food.
