Rito Loco: what do users think?

Tab P: Skip this place. Could have been great if they followed the customer’s directions. Asked for no pico on my burrito and they didn’t listen. Had to pick it out of the burrito which destroyed the tortilla and was cold by the time I got to it. They didn’t give me all the items I ordered. The only good thing about them was the fried avocados. But the overall experience drove down the rating.

ct zfbm: The best Tacos and roof top in town!! Great vibe and of course, the monthly Afro Boogies monthly parties is wicked. Afro Infused beats, percussionist along with Afro house, Afro beats, Amapiano, Latin House, Afro Cuban, Soulful and Disco house! When you are here for Afro Boogie, you don't wanna leave, cos the music is wicked, vibe is tight and people are amazing!!! The staff is amazing!!!

Eric Posey: I don't leave many 5 star reviews, but this place really rocked hard. Everything we had was the best ever: lamb tacos, fried avocado burrito, the cilantro margaritas... The rooftop bar was fantastic. Good music and vibe, great bartender and attentive staff. My girlfriend insisted on leaving a nice cash tip for Jorge, who was showing off his dance grooves all evening. Lol. What a good time. Oh and the tres leches cake. Phenomenal.

Tamanna joshi: It’s great place with amazing food, vibe and staff. Lots of vegetarian options, great space and ambiance! Off the menu, I would definitely recommend avocado roll and tres leches cake ! Chips and salsa is a must too.

Karimah Williams-Layne: I ordered food from here despite the reviews, I should have listened. I ordered food on their website via uber eats, walked around the corner to pick it up and arrived at a closed restaurant under construction. It's not like they were late getting my order ready, the whole staff was upstairs in a meeting not even cooking any food. The owner/manager walks up and say oh I guess they haven't started yet or something like that. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, he said "I quess I could offer you a comp or something if that's what you want" and proceeded to walk away from me and enter the restaurant. I wish i could have eaten the food to be able to actually review it.

It's Me: Slightly disturbing experience. Came to the place and was told to order by the app. Accompanied by friends and family, some dude who may have been latin, told us "why don't you order by app". Its funny, this is "Cinco de Mayo", time of remembering a time in history for the Mexican Culture. I've never had the door shut in my face, lol. Much less with family, friends and kids. This is the first time this has happened, but it takes one time to leave a sour taste for a place.

Mel Sandoval: Thèse tacos were absolutely delicious and so were the cocktails. Service was quick and thé ambiance on the second floor was relaxing. The decorations were beautiful and it was nice and toasty (despite it being winter). I tried chicken, brisket and shrimp tacos which were yummy! I will be back again.

Joe Harmon: Brought the incorrect order to the table. We placed an additional take out order and they messed it up as well. Food was pretty good but the takeout order because it was wrong.

Sarah: They got our order right which was good, but was left totally unsatisfied and will not order again or recommend them. The queso dip was super orange and the consistency/smell/taste was just like melted Velveeta cheese. My burrito had a huge layer of cheese in it, that seemed like your basic grocery store branded american cheese blend, and the chopped chicken, with a small amount of cabbage. Mouth full of globs of cheese/chicken, not really what I ordered. The food didn’t taste bad, but I don’t want to pay this much for food that’s seemingly heated up in a microwave and could be made by my 7 yr. old niece. There was no seasoning either, not even in the queso, no peppers, spices, nada. Would not recommend eating here, you’ll save money and feel more satisfied eating somewhere else.

Tolga Toykoç: Fun place to eat good Mexican food. We've ordered Mac & Cheese Balls, Yuca Fries, nachos and tacos. Mac & Cheese Balls were surprisingly awesome!

Puddin': what do users think?

MS Tabu Winslow Morris, MBA: I walked around Union Market in it’s entirety and back to Puddin. I am so happy. The service was awesome. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. My food! Wow! I can’t explain my food. I took my first taste after getting in my car from my break driving my Lyft. I needed something quick to eat to take my Diabetes medication. I am so glad I got a meal. It was simply scrumptious. I saved some until I got home. I woke up in the middle of the night to finish it. It was that good. I couldn’t wait until the morning to eat the rest. I had the Etoufee with shrimp. Good God it was outstanding! I want thank the customer before that ordered it because it was truly a good choice. I will try something else next time. Thank you!

Larry “Big Schlim” Mcleod: I’ve been consistently reminded to go to this spot via, ironically, the automated messages on social media. Nestled inside of Union Market at 1309 5th St., N. E. Washington D.C. you’ll find @Puddin !! This eatery is going to satisfy your New Orleans style food cravings, AND your literature needs!! They have a few pivotal African American books you need in your library. So look they have a very simplified menu (for me, that works and speaks volumes of confidence about your main dishes). Their menu items include Southern Red Beans and Rice (Reds Beans with smoked Turkey, and beef sausage served over rice $12 reg.-$23 family size), Shrimp N Grits (Parmesan cheese grits topped with shrimp, or crayfish, and a tomato butter sauce $12 reg.-$23 Fam.), their Etouffee (pictured with shrimp, creamy seafood stew with rice $12), and their gluten-free Southern Chicken, and Beef sausage Gumbo (pictured Roux-less chicken, and beef sausage with ground smoke shrimp, okra, and veggies served over grits, or rice $14 with grits). They have Bread pudding as their sweet product (pictured-$7), and beers from the Black owned company Sankofa Beer company (pictured-Cocoa Coast a chocolate milk stout $6). The Gumbo was absolutely delicious!! Each item had a distinct flavor that blended well together, and for ME...this meal was comforting. It was a sizable portion as well. The Etouffee!?!? That jont was hittin’!! STAMP that meal!! GET IT!! Trust!! Creamy, spicy, fresh, and fulfilling!! The bread pudding was decent, everything a bread pudding should be...warm, sweet, and just plain ole GOOD!! The customer service was excellent, warm, and they’re genuinely nice people. Parking was available in the Market lot. This is a must have spot good people’s!! GO!! Trust!! That’s it. #Gumbo #Etouffee #Shrimp #Beefsausage #deliciousness #bigschlimsreviews #chicken #stew #breadpudding #sankofabeer #goodeats #unionmarketdc #musthaves #gothere #thatsit

Annette Johnson: Beyond what I was expecting, I knew it was gonna be good just based off the rapport with the staff behind the counter. I opened the container to perfectly cleaned and prepared shrimp, and an amazing portion of grits. I was thrilled beyond measures, and the gumbo perfectly seasoned. Everything served HOT, and fresh I loved it! Definitely coming back.

Camden Seeborg: Ian has amazing customer service. The bread pudding is absolutely to die for. We come every few years from out of town and always make a point to stop in and get some. Make sure not to miss it!
Response: Thank you so much! I will def pass this along to Ian!!

Ronjon Ray: Walked by this place today for lunch and originally was looking for a healthy meal. The woman working the counter offered me a sample of the gumbo and the bread puddin' and all I can say is WOW!! Had a bowl of the Gumbo for lunch, then went back and grabbed a tub of the bread puddin to take home for my girlfriend (sorry health). Definitely will be back...so good!!

J. Stephen Lee: The bread pudding is great (sweet and buttery). I also had the chicken and sausage gumbo. There are differnet sizes available. I got petit sizes for both ($7 each) and was really satisfied.
Response: Thank you so much!

Brandon Barnett: Their motto is “divine comfort food,” and just from trying the bread pudding- that’s exactly what it is. From the texture to the flavor, it was all sublime. I feel as if I need to go back and try their po’boys and etoufee because of how amazing it was. I split a 16oz container with my friend and you could see on both our faces just how tasty the wonderful dessert was. I highly suggest popping in and grabbing a container if you’re in the area.
Response: Thank you so much!

Sharon: Bread pudding is delicious but the taste of bourbon is definitely on the stronger side (compared to other bourbon-flavored dishes), and is a bit too strong for me. Still delicious though and for those that like that taste 100% recommend.

Jacques Chevalier: Food was prepared for delectable dining , customer service, food & atmosphere was comforting here in DC.

brett tobin: So ive been here a couple times and on both times the person working gave me old bread pudding that was dry when there was fresh pudding out. So needless to say its a bad practice to sale old bread pudding. Im just saying.
Response: Hi Brett! I'm so sorry to hear that. Please note that all of our bread pudding is baked fresh daily. Please let me know if I can get you a refund and a fresh bread puddin' on us! Thank you for the feedback! My direct email is dcpuddin@gmail.com

Pho Junkies: what do users think?

Brett Jacobson: Food is absolutely delicious and both owners are such genuinely nice people!! This is the permanent location of the food truck that they ran for multiple years. They have a true passion for making great food, and it shows in every bowl of pho. As of 8/7/2021 they’re doing both dine-in and takeout, but you need to go into the restaurant and scan a QR code for takeout. Can’t wait to go back again and again!

Lily Richards: This is the best pho I've ever had. I wouldn't consider myself a connoisseur, but it's beaten out any I've tried before and any I've tried since. It's a very low-key spot with just the one type of dish for now: Pho. The broth is delicious and the meat is always perfectly done. They've been closed since Thanksgiving for renovations and an expanded menu and my partner and I are anxiously awaiting their return. Since they've been closed we've found ourselves wanting to go at least twice a week - it's been good for our budget at least, but we're excited to go back and see the updates they've made.

M. Christina Castillo: OMG… so delicious. This is a must! The broth is perfect and meat/non meat options are extensive. Lots of options and combinations based on your taste. My combo consisted of tendon, lean brisket, and meatball. So glad they opened a brick/mortar shop in the Navy Yard and the owners are amazing.

Sean Duncan: Great pho at an affordable price. One of the best authentic broths I've had, and the service was even better.

Lucy Xu: I've had pho across 5 North America cities and this is probably the best pho of them all, especially the soup base. What's more, the manager is always so incredibly nice. So glad to have this in the neighborhood, especially after a long day! Sad to see the hours have been updated to "closed" everyday of the week now. Please don't go!!!!! We need you!!! :(

Jessica Martin: Wonderful, fresh pho that you would never guess came from a food truck! Moves around different parts of DC 1030am-245pm (I think) Monday-Friday. The 2-3 workers are so efficient and kind, especially the gentleman who takes your order. The Vietnamese coffee is also tasty, and the spring rolls/summer rolls also look fresh. Don’t let a long line dissuade you. You’ll leave with a warm bowl of goodness and a smile on your face. As always, pho is a great gluten free option.

Julia A.: The pho here is so great, and I'm so happy it's a convenient location. The noodles and meat were very good, but -- above all else -- the broth was just wonderful. The staff working there is excellent too! So attentive, welcoming, and nice. 10/10 would come here again!

Kelley Johnson: Simplistic Perfection! This is hands down THE BEST pho I’ve had in my 15+ years of eating this cuisine. Even the water is delicious! Lee provides excellent and kind service. My daughter and I are proud Pho Junkies addicts.

Reid Lyness: Best pho in DC by far! Only open Thursday through Sunday I believe and you know why when you have it. The server is world class and very friendly

Al: Honestly, best pho hands down. I don’t know when they are coming back but I hope soon. Since they have been gone, have had other places pho and it just sucks compared to theirs. Service is fantastic, very attentive. Haven’t heard any update on their behalf online, hoping it’s soon.

BBQ Bus Catering Co.: what do users think?

Kenny Ferguson: We used the BBQ Bus for a work event this past week and they did a great job! The food was hot, fresh and came out fast. They have been a pleasure to work with from the start of planning this event. We had to change dates due to Covid and the owners worked with us. Excellent customer service. We will be using them again!

Joe Nastri: Great local spot for regional BBQ in upper northern DC. Friendly staff as others have mentioned. Good selection of smoked meats and associated sides. What I've tasted thus far is pretty good. They offer a mix of smoked meat sandwiches and platters sized for individuals or large party / family (latter called SUPER PACs). You'll occasional see entree or side specials at the front desk. Primarily a takeout shop but there's enough space for about 12 patrons to eat. 7 days a week but not super late hours. All fine. Short walking distance to the nearby Walmart on Georgia Ave, so a nice option before or after shopping. I'll be back.

Lindsay Templeton: Tried this for the first time from doordash during quarantine and it was delicious. The smoky pulled pork sandwich was huge and perfectly tender with great flavor combination. The Mac & cheese was good, and the greens were on the sweeter side. Will definitely eat here again.

Karthik: Got the Angus brisket and it was perfect! Definitely the best bbq place I've been to inside DC. The sides we're okay, the fries could use some salt in that seasoning mix, but otherwise not a bad deal for $15.

Roberta Cavitt: We ordered ahead when this famous food truck came to our neighborhood. It was not cheap, but we love BBQ. Feedback on BBQ Sampler: The Sampler photo shows "sliced" beef brisket. Our sampler had "chopped" brisket. The written description did not indicate "chopped." We prefer sliced. The pulled pork and chicken were good. Feedback on Half Rack of Ribs: They were big, but very fatty. The meat was NOT tender. There was something about the taste (a spice or wood type?) that we did not like. It was as if someone had poured an entire bottle of liquid smoke on them. BBQ sauces: Very good to excellent. Vinegar-based Slaw: Excellent. Garlic Mashed Potatoes: OK Pickles: Excellent Rolls: Excellent
Response: Hi Roberta, thank you for your review. Obviously this wasn't the experience we wanted for you. If you'd send the date, time and order number to che@bbqbusdc.com we'll of course process a refund for your meal. I'd also like to send you some BBQ Bus Bucks for a future order, if you'd like to give us a second chance.

Lawrence Dowery: BBQ Sauce #5 was so much love and the pull pork sandwich was outstanding. Can tell the baked beans was made from scratch which was refreshing. Mac and cheese was perfect

Tonny Wong: I tired the BBQ brisket and ribs from their food truck with great disappointment. The meat have not texture at all as if it was made in a pressure cooker. Ribs are the same. I am particular about food texture and mouth feel and there might be people who actually like their food this way but I do not understand how these BBQ does have any no smoke flavor? Not recommended.
Response: Hi Tony, thanks for your feedback, and I’m so sorry to hear about your experience. If you’d please send the date and approximate time of your visit to che@bbqbusdc.com I’d like take a closer look as well as process a refund for you. I’d also like to send you some BBQ Bus Bucks for a future meal, if you’d give us another try.

Greg Antrim: We ordered brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken, and wings. Everything was outstanding. Just as good as any others around (ie.... Fed Piggy). Portion sizes were great. Smoke flavor was prominent and excellent. Sides were very good. And their sauces could be bottled. This will be a regular for me now!
Response: Wow, thanks for the very nice review and the stars! So happy to hear you enjoyed your meal. We hope to see you again soon.

Joanna Hurt: Ordered the chicken and pork BBQ sandwich catering for my office today, and it was a huge hit! The meat was great with all the sauces and the pickled veggies were delicious. People also loved the beans and mac and cheese. We will definitely order again!
Response: Thank you so much for your order and kind review Joanna! Catering is our specialty, so we're really glad you enjoyed it. Please give us a call anytime you need anything!

Norma Woody: I ordered a meal for the first time and must admit that this meal was absolutely delicious. The spareribs were meaty and tender, the bake beans had a very delightful flavor that can become additive and the French fries were seasoned the way I like it. Will try the pickles on my next order. Have to eat my corn muffins now😇.
Response: Thank you for the kind review, so happy to hear you enjoyed your meal!

Peruvian Brothers: what do users think?

Ryan Rieboldt: So so so delisioso! Got a Chicharrón sandwich and a beef empanada. Quick service and there was even a cute and very large llama to keep me company while I waited. As a part of La Cosecha, a portion of every purchase goes towards TECHO, an organization present in 19 Latin American countries seeking to end poverty for millions!

carlos cameron: Find a better ceviche.....you wont, they use red snapper, everybody else uses cheap dirt tasting tilapia...Even though they voted for the blue socialistas in their gucci and prada like univision told them too, we all make bad mistakes in our lives to our wallet. However, you will not find better tasting chicken, yuca, sandwiches ANYWHERE HERE IN THE DC REGION.....

Sara Hafenbreadl: Peruvian Brothers went above and beyond for our wedding catering! Our original caterer dropped out three months before our wedding, and Peruvian Brothers came to the rescue with the best food and service imaginable. They were professional, kind, and helpful throughout the process. Our guests, many of which are Peruvian, raved about the food. They accommodated our requests for vegetarian food and they also provided staff and bartenders. Highly recommend Peruvian Brothers!

G S (2harriedma): Tried Peruvian brothers for the first time and loved it! Ordered the ceviche, chicken empanadas and alfajores and was given a buzzer so I didn’t have to stand around and wait. Everything I ordered was delicious. Would definitely come back and try other menu items😋

Paul Hake: The place is very decent. It's set up like a mall food court with other places. The staff is awesome. The downside is the food, though delicious, it was just average. The food tasted and looked like something that would be made at home when growing up as a child.

AlixTakesaBite: I love everything about this place and this location! Lots of space for social distancing, high ceilings, sanitizer stations everywhere, and all employees are in masks. Indoor and outdoor seating available for La Cosecha. But let’s talk food.... because that’s why we’re here. The beef empanadas are by far the best in the DMV. They are so FULL. The crust is never soggy. And their fillings are super flavorful. I highly recommend the picarones and chicken (i also added a side of the fried yuca). This dish is only served on Sundays so don’t miss out! Picarones are a Peruvian dessert that originated in Lima during the viceroyalty. It is somewhat similar to buñuelos, a type of doughnut brought to the colonies by Spanish conquistadors. Its principal ingredients are squash and sweet potato and it’s served in doughnut form and covered with syrup/honey made from chancaca which is brought in from Peru at Peruvian Brothers. Chancaca is a typical Peruvian, Bolivian, and Chilean warm, sweet sauce made of raw unrefined sugar from sugarcane. It is often flavored with orange peel and cinnamon, and is consumed on sopaipillas or picarones. Follow me on Instagram for more @AlixtakesaBite

Gerson Paredes: Is this supposed to be a large side rice and yuca??? Large sides for a hole chicken, this sides are not for 4 people share, Won't recommend this. Ask extra sides.Disappointed.

Adam Castillo: I was hoping for something like the other Peruvian chicken I've had from so many other places. I got knocked out my seat. And the 'green' sauce, was soooo good! They're BBQ sauce, I was just drinking it from the bottle!!! Check this spot out!!

Carmen Helena Ruzza: An amazing place where everything is fresh and delicious. Try the empanadas, the ceviche, the lomo saltado, the chicken and so more (do not miss the alfajores for dessert!). If the owners Giuseppe and Mario are there, it is time to talk to them. They cannot be friendlier:))))

Luis M Urbina: I just had a chicharron sandwich and a chicha morada. The sandwich was tasty, and they had two sauces to go with it (spicy and not-so-spicy). The alfajor is lovely, and the chicha was on point (refreshing and not overly sweet like on other places).

Far East Taco Grille: what do users think?

Michael Benoit: We LOVED the tacos here! So much interesting flavor and perfectly balanced. My favorite was Mango Love while my wife loved hers Fresco style. Highly recommended and will definitely return when we are in town again. Quick tip - we discovered that the sour cream is on the sweet side (rather than sour).

Bianca Bullock: My family visited this restaurant and was blown away by how delicious the food was. The fresh vegetables and well seasoned chicken was amazing. The fact that you get to select what you want on your taco makes a huge difference. We will definitely be back.

Shahida Robertson: This is where I go for my cheat meal every week! The food is exceptional and they don’t stiff you on the portions. Every time family comes to visit me I bring them here. Now, when I go home they ask me to load my suitcase with Far East taco lol
Response: Thank you for your review!!

Conner Miers: Fabulous foods, no doubts. But I gave it 3 stars just because there is errors and complicates way to order your foods. They do not accepts credit/debit cards in person, been like that for months I dont know why. So only way you can order in person with card is through monitor. And it is not accurately. They knows. Want a extra sauce in sides? Do a further step and asks them in person, write a note if you are Deaf. But do have 50 cents or dollar with you ready or they are not giving you any extra. But once again, foods are great.

Andrew E: UPDATE 4/23/21: adding a star back. Why? Because they’ve picked up the quality and consistency of the takeout food. Have ordered 3 more times since last year and have enjoyed it very time. Solid ameri-Tex like Mexican egg rolls and tacos that satisfy the taste buds but destroy your calorie count. UPDATE 1/4/20: dropping a star. Here’s why: Very significant decline in quality and volume of food since our last two experiences. We have ordered food from here three times, all delivered through Yelp (i.e. grub hub). Really disappointing because it was one of our favorite places. Quantity: There used to be two egg rolls per order. Now one. And the one we received was noticeably less stuffed with food. Quality: Everything we ordered was of lower quality than the past two times. The fried egg roll was soft and chewy. The pork belly was so hard to chew i gave most of it to our dog. Both orders of tacos were slightly cold when they arrived.

Ralph McLean: My tacos were EXCELLENT, and the young lady working the register was very patient with me as a first time customer. Prices were fair also. Will be going back.

Austin Graff: If you need a break from your standard taco, try Far East Taco Grill. It's Korean and Mexican fusion. In concept, it's set up like a fast casual restaurant where you pick between a bowl, burrito, etc. and then move to picking a meat, toppings, dressings, etc. Their tacos are $2.50 or so and not small so if you need a snack, go with that. The bowls are really good too and make you feel like you're eating something slightly more healthy. Kimchi fries- stay away. It sound good, but are too much. Always pick the bulgogi or spicy pork for the meat!

matthew golden: Great food with very bold flavors. I tried the 3 taco combo and I loved that you can try more than one protein then top it off with a variety of different sauce options as well as topping combinations, which you can mix and match as you please.

marie coles: It was my first time there the food was very good
Response: Thank you for your review!!

Nathan Brubaker: I found this place based on reviews when I was in town on business. A great and inventive menu. Since I couldn't eat everything on the menu in one sitting (a personal shortcoming I think) I took pictures of the creative menu combinations so that I could try some of them at home, or better yet, pre-plan my attack before my next visit. Great bites!

Tacos El Chilango: what do users think?

Marjan Ahmed: I have been going there for years. The tacos are always great, reasonably priced and the customer service is even better. Cannot recommend this place enough. Bring something to sit on other than your car if you want to sit outside.

Daniel McEnrue: Absolutely incredible. The flavor is off the charts. Easily the best tacos in the area. Made better by the excellent service.

Hector Mejia: Delicious tacos 🌮 🤤 i was there yesterday is incredible the thelicius is this tacos and the attention is other world no matter what how is your filling the will make filling like friends or family the owner is present all time this is the secret of tasty. Sooo if you want to go there just have little patience because is truck launch!! They opened monday to Saturday!! And the cost of each taco is around $2.50 or $3.00 dollar. Includes taco 🌮 plate, cucumber, radish, onions scabeche ,lemon and hot sauce!!! So far good price for serving and attention ( everything is complete immaculate clean) go there will be happy !!! Everything is only to go !!

A E: This serves no frills authentic tacos. They are served in the traditional fashion with onion and cilantro. Absolutely delicious. Three tacos make the perfect lunch or dinner. They give you a small hot sauce on the side but I like to bring the tacos home and load them up with something even more spicy. I can't recommend this truck enough. Best tacos in Virginia.

Buchi Chilaka: Solid prices, friendly owner, and delicious tacos! If you’re ever in the Rosslyn area, this taco truck is a great spot to pop into and grab 2-4 traditional tasting tacos. Their habanero sauce is worth opting for if you like your tacos with a kick. Also, the place is cash only, so plan ahead.

comfyfuton -: Wow! Some of the best tacos Ive had. Its a food truck parked on a road with not much parking nearby, but that should not deter you from trying the tacos from here. Amazing flavor on the Lengua. Staff is incredibly friendly and even gave us a free additional taco. Its also cash only so come prepared!

David Hernandez: Tired of $100 lunches I found this gem just a short drive from the Arlington National Cemetery. It's a taco truck so expect to eat in your car. Authentic food. Simple menu of tacos. My Polish Babcia easily handled the chicken tacos. The kids polished off entire streak tacos no problem. Spicy sauces were on the side as were done garnishes and limes. The owner (?) guided us and answered our questions since Bacía was concerned about the spice level. Great service, better food. Come here!!

Joseph Poorman: Amazing tacos. I’ve been to this place multiple times and it’s so good every time. The owner & workers are awesome people! I’ve tried everything on their menu except the pastor tacos. My favorite & personal recommendation is the chicken (pollo) tacos with the habanero sauce + lime Although I’ve moved away from the area, I do come back whenever I’m close by just for their delicious food -Cody

Stephanie Chen: Excellent authentic tacos! You know the place is legit when everyone else in line speaks spanish lol. There's not much order, you kind of just go up and start saying your order to the person behind the taco truck window. I got the carne asada and campechano. Both were delicious! The carne asada especially stood out. Unfortunately, there are no vegetarian tacos . Also parking is a little difficult, but you can just pull over on the side of the street or a lot not too far for the short time it takes to order your tacos.

Charlie Long: I’ve lived in Arlington for close to four years and I had heard rumors of “best tacos in the city” truck somewhere nearby but never took the time to track it down until earlier this year. Quick, easy, cash only, and my favorite tacos in the city. The majority of the tacos are $2.50 a piece and you can choose from asada, pastor, chorizo, chicken, tongue or a few combinations. Always a long line but it moves quickly and the truck staff are fantastic in either English or Spanish - couldn’t be more pleasant. The address is listed now but it can still be hard to miss. It’s a permanently parked white food truck on the Rosslyn side of Arlington Boulevard.

Trini Vybez by Kalu's Seasoning Blends and Catering: what do users think?

Tej Naik: These doubles were really good and big portions. They stopped by in Laurel this week so I had to go stop by and get some doubles. The Pholourie was very good too with the tamarind sauce. They are spicy dough balls that are fried. Light fluffy and delicious. Check them out, some really good trini food.
Response: Thank you!

Lisa Gomes: I used their catering services over Memorial Day weekend. Very fair prices for the generous portions they served. The food was also delicious. I love that they had vegetarian options in addition to all animal proteins. My 75 guests loved their food, too.
Response: Thanks Lisa! We appreciate you inviting us to your event. Until next time!

Wesley Smith: I found out about this restaurant from google. My wife is from Trinidad and Tobago, so I was looking for an authentic Trini restaurant that would be something that my wife would love and approve of. Especially since she has not been able to go home in a couple of years due to Covid. I drove 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to the spot where there food truck was scheduled for the day and it was well worth it!! This place did not disappoint!!! Amazing food, great customer service. They were really accommodating in helping me package everything up since I was taking my order to go. They really helped me, without realizing it, make my wife’s upcoming birthday that much better!! We will definitely be back again and I highly recommend this place⭐️⭐️⭐️
Response: Thank you Wesley for your kind review. We hope to see you again soon.

Naeemah Raqib: I attend a party during dc black pride Trini Vybez by Kalu's the food was absolutely delicious. The rice and beans were super tasty. Now at American University for work appreciation week and I was pleasantly surprised i get to eat her food again. Praise God I am blessed. All success to our creater
Response: Thanks Naeemah 😊. We love to see reviews like yours. Thanks for coming to see us again! Hopefully next time you can try the doubles!

A Dunlop: Trini Vybez is, hands down, the best authentic Trinidadian food in the DMV area. Not only is the food impeccable but the customer service consistently goes beyond my expectations. It may sound like I am exaggerating so check them out yourself and see if I'm not telling the WHOLE truth!!! Find them, wherever they are. Try all of the food and shake a foot. SOCA!! Oh LAWD, the SOCA!!! You can't go wrong!
Response: Thank you much for your kind review. This really helps us grow and improve!!

Lisset Pino-Ros: The food here was INCREDIBLE. First of all, the doubles are out of this world. Something about the way the chickpeas are spiced is perfect. I also got the chicken roti wrap and the chicken platter. I liked the wrap better, it was more moist and the roti is delicious. Dying to come back!!!
Response: Thank you Lisset.

Anna Juszczak: Ok. I never leave reviews, but I had to give TRINI VYBEZ’s 5 stars! I had the doubles, and they were INCREDIBLE. Im not exaggerating when I say that I could eat them everyday. The service was also quick and friendly. Highly recommend!
Response: Thank you Anna.

Anjuna Ohlke: Insanely good food and friendly service! I had the jerk tofu with plantains, stewed spinach, and rice and peas. I would 100% have it again or any of their other great options.
Response: Thank you Anjuna.

Jamal James: Roti was ok..my fam can make a better 1 telling me it would take 10 minutes to make turn into half an hour…attitude was crappy…poor customer service
Response: Hi! Thank you for your feedback. We are sad to hear you were not happy with our service. Unfortunately, there is a wait time for certain foods and this wait time can be impacted by larger orders placed before you in the queue. We do encourage you to try other Trinidadian food trucks in the area.

R W: Best Trini food in the DMV! We find ourselves continuously ordering from here. The owners passion shows through her food. The flavors are amazing and I haven't had anything like it before. They have great vegetarian options for my daughter as well. PS try the oxtail!!!

Swizzler: what do users think?

Hampton Sasser: Hands down best burger I have ever had. What makes it even better is the incredibly value. Fries (aka spudz) are perfectly salted. The chicken sandwich is incredible also. Perfectly crispy and juicy - not greasy or heavy. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to.
Response: Hey there, Hampton! Thank you so much for your review. We pride ourselves on affordable prices and high-quality food that leaves you feeling satisfied long after you've eaten it. Thank you for your support!

Trevor Bingham: The chicken sandwich is one of the best I've ever had - super juicy and tender breaded fried chicken breast topped with lettuce and pickles in a buttery sandwich roll. The fresh cut fries were great. They have a specialty root beer that is really good. The service was excellent - really friendly employees.
Response: Thanks so much for the great review and photos Trevor! We're so glad you enjoyed our new chicken sandwich and are helping to spread the word. We can't wait to see you next time you have an urge for a chicken sandwich or burger!

Asma Alghamdi: I tried the signature burger and the chicken sandwich, both were delicious. The bun was light and freshly baked, and the patty was juicy and tasty also the sauce was good it tasted like a fresh homemade not a processed sauce, overall I loved how fresh the food was! I like it and I feel like it’s the best in the area I will definitely be back.
Response: Hey there, Asma! Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to continue serving you fresh, amazing food!

Abigail La Forge: Wow, what an amazing experience all around! I never write reviews and this was hands down the best burger I’ve had in SO long. The griddled onion mixed with the melted cheese was incredible. Hot hand-cut fries with awesome dipping sauce. You are missing out if you haven’t been here!! Definitely recommend!!
Response: Thanks Abigail, we're so glad you enjoyed your burger and fries! You'll have to come back and try that Crispy Chicken sandwich soon, too!

Ari Rang: One of the best burger on my visit to DC. Affordable price and good service. Fries were good but not the best in town. I am not big fan of their interior design but it is different to other burger joints. Toilets were clean as well.
Response: Hey there, Ari! Thank you for your feedback! We will be continuing to make improvements to our shop every day, so make sure to come back and check them out!

Joshua Weber: No frills burger place. Better than fast food, but not a fancy burger. A medium sized patty and nice helping of fries. I added a few toppings for an additional charge and that was defiantly worth it. We also got a veggie burger which was about an 8/10. Plain interior with booth seating. Really friendly cashier. This place strikes a good balance between a regular non dedicated burger restaurant's large decadent burger and fast food. Nice casual dining at a good price.
Response: Hi Joshua, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We're glad you enjoyed our finer fast food! I'd highly recommend the truffle parmesan fries next time you swing by. Word on the street is that this is the best place to grab a burger and fries before a Nats game, so we hope we'll see you soon!

Jenelle Siwicki: Y'all missin' out. Classic Cheeseburger was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Service was a little slow and closing at 9 on a Saturday is a shame for this place. Definitely need to stop at Swizzler while you're in DC. Juicy, fresh burgers here!!!!!
Response: Hi Jenelle, this review was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We appreciate the feedback on the service speed and closing time, but so glad that the quality of the food still made this a great experience for you. We set our hours when we opened during COVID and things were a bit slow, especially in the evening. We've talked about potentially extending our hours down the road, especially on the weekends, so this is great to hear! We hope to see you again soon for a burger!

Austin Graff: Located by Nats Park is a row of fast-casual restaurants. One of them is Swizzler, a burger and hot dog spot. When hot dogs often are an after thought, this place gives equal treatment. Here’s our experience after ordering takeout on a Friday evening: 1) Food: The menu includes cheeseburgers, hamburgers, hot dogs and fries. Overall, the food was average to good. My bacon jalapeño burger was spicy and tasty. My toddler loved the Burnie Mac hot dog with mac and cheese. My wife built her own cheeseburger. The parmesan truffle fries were okay. They have a variety of sauces but none were super flavorful. The menu lets you order each item on its own or order a meal with a drink (Coke products) included. 2) Space: The inside is well designed and inviting. There are a number of booths. 3) Parking: Street parking can be tough to find, but the F Lot is across the street charging $1 an hour to park.
Response: Hi Austin, thanks for the thorough review. We'd love to chat and learn more about the experience and why the food only seemed 'average to good' for you. Our goal is to put out THE BEST fast food style burger you can find and we'd love to learn about how we could have improved the experience for you. Feel free to shoot us an email to team@swizzlerfoods.com, we'd really appreciate your feedback.

Muath Alghamdi: The signature cheeseburger was delicious, the bun was fluffy and fresh and toasted just right. The Patti was cooked well and not over seasoned, the signature sauce and cheese compliment the burger without overwhelming it. The chicken sandwich was amazing as well, the buns and sauce were as perfect as the burger. The chicken itself was perfect, fresh and crispy but tender and well seasoned. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be coming back the next time I crave a burger (it is now my favorite burger in the area)
Response: Hey there, Muath! Thank you so much for your detailed review of our burger. Hopefully this made some readers hungry and wanting to come check us out! We appreciate your support and hope to see you soon!

Amelia Capilongo: My favorite quick serve burger place in DC. I like it better than Shake shack. The bread is always very fresh and I love their Swizler’s stack with Arugula. I recently tried their hotdog and it was Good. The dog is a bit small for the size of the bun. I recall the dogs being better from there food truck. Highly recommend that you also add a fresh lemonade and truffle fries.
Response: Thanks for the great review Amelia! We agree on the better than Shake Shack thing (but shh! don't tell anyone!). We hope to see you again soon!

Surfside Taco Stand: what do users think?

C F: Pretty good burritos. Fresh and tasty. I enjoyed my burrito and would try other ones. I deduct 1 star because the price is higher than expected for 1 normal sized burrito and the lettuce/salad was a bit confusing. Also the chairs and tables were pretty dirty when we were there. But overall great sauces and friendly service.

N T-K: Amazing food! The price isn't too bad either. The line is usually long but it doesn't take long for your order to be ready. I had the street corn (overpriced for just 2), the Makinac burrito, Punta cana tacos and the Martinique burrito!

J. W.: Came here for the first time last night and I was very impressed. Good food, quick service and 24 hours… can’t beat that. As you can see the food is seasoned and portioned great. Definitely can see myself returning. That shrimp burrito and street corn is definitely a game changing combo for the nightlife eating.

Shelbie Ammirati: Delicious! Perfect midday lunch for us as we visited DC and rode scooters around town. Perfect amount of food and the food was so good! I got the Nevis and husband got the Rio, both were great!

Jasmin Hollywood: I like this place. I have been wanting to come here for months and finally made the cause on a Taco Tuesday. I guess I should have tried/ordered something different. I ordered the Malibu tacos and the order was on point the service/courteous kind employees... Now, the Tacos were super healthy, filling, bland and semi gross. Lol. Like I mentioned that I likely should have ordered something different perhaps the crispy chicken Taco or something. I didn't completely write this place off. I want to return in hopes of a better taco.

Chris Atkins: The chicken was seasoned really well and the rice was light and fluffy. It didn't take long to get my order amd it's open 24 hours. This place is definitely worth stopping by for tacos and quesadillas.

Petr Tojsl: Delicious tacos! I got the north grill taco, which consisted of well seasoned mahi-mahi, tasty Chipotle sour cream dressing, and pickled vegetables like lettuce and onion. Along with that, came a delicious yellow lime rice. After my meal, The cashier kindly explained to me how they make their tacos, so that I can replicate the recipe at home. This place is slightly pricey, but definitely worth the price in a big city like DC. Also, they have a fine range of tasty hot sauces. Finally, they’re very quick! I got my taco in under five minutes!

Anas Souid: The best Mexican food I had in the US so far; everything was extremely fresh and the ingredients were clearly top quality. Food preparation time is also pretty fast.

Josh Stein: $15+ tax for this? Bora bora burrito Bland, small portion - stick with Chipotle or District Taco Guac is very chunky and also bland - ironically there may be more calories in the chips and guac than this $15 burrito Second photo is the chips that were left after we finished the “guac”. You all would be able to save on food cost and provide decent portions if you put something else in your guacamole aside from 1/4 chunks of avocado…

Antonio Pena: Great taste good, service is very good, awesome tacos, highly recommended if you are at the Wharf in DC

Sami’s Hot Dog Cart: what do users think?

Elido Reyes: Got a half smoke super cheap and really loaded with toppings. Tasted amazing! That home made chili is tasty too.

Jonas Andersen: Sami is the nicest guy selling the best Hot Dogs I have ever tasted! I walked 6km just to taste one on my last day in DC due to the good reviews. I do NOT regret it.

Brady Shiers: First time in DC and after a long day of walking around the Mall I wanted something to quick to eat. I saw all the 5 star reviews for Sami’s and I knew I had to stop there. Sami was very nice and helpful and the hot dog was incredible! I got the regular dog with EVERYTHING on it, that’s the way to go for a delicious mess!

J K: Great spicy hotdog with chili. Excellent value. Very friendly. Outdoor seating across the street.

Blaz Barton: My wife and I from Missouri. We dropped by Sami’s today because of the reviews on here, and man, it absolutely deserves 5 stars and more. Sami is super friendly! The hotdogs are FANTASTIC! And it’s all very affordable. Sami could easily open a restaurant but instead he chooses to remain faithful each day to his stand where he’s been for 30 years. I would recommend Sami’s to anyone interested in solid food and friendly faces at an incredible price. Thank you, Sami. You added to a great delight to our anniversary trip!

Naomi Leonard: Good loaded hotdog. Close walking distance from Hirshhorn or Art and Industry building. Very cheap. Definitely recommend

Britani Pinkston: Sami is friendly and always greets you with a smile. His pretzels are hot and really tasty with mustard. Always there and stocked with the goodies 👍🏽👍🏽

Martijn Slootjes: Our first hotdog in the States. It was directly an awesome one!! With a very friendly owner. You also can sit in the park (l'Enfant) across the hotdog stand, with a nice view at the Capitol.

Chris Iwan: I went to get a half smoke, chips, and a drink. When I reached for my wallet to pay, I didn’t have any cash. Sami told me to take it anyway. I paid him the next day, but not many people would do that these days.

Mikayla Wood: Great hotdogs, love the spicy half smoke!! Good prices and very kind man serving the food. :)

Abunai Poke: what do users think?

Stephanie Henderson: Affordable lunch daily lunch special & food is always fresh!! Staff is always pleasant and friendly. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu 😋

Ren Dan: Way over priced for poke. They charge per scoop of protein and portions are small for the price. Don't have a good variety of additions like Mango, pineapple or garlic crisps like a lot of other more affordable poke spots have.

Andrew S: We had some spam musubi and the pork lunch special. Both were very good. I'm not a fan of furikake but it's not overpowering in these and blended well with the other flavors. The spam katsu musubi was my favorite.

PRESTON PREECE: The food here is incredible!! I recommend anyone going here. I found this place 2 weeks ago , and I have already been here 6 times.I recommend the Teri beef and the Kalua pig nachos. The Poke bowls are great too.

Karen Su: I've eaten my fair share of poke and I can say with certainty that this is by far the best place to get it. Their ingredients are so fresh and the portions are plentiful. I'll definitely be coming back to this place more and more!

Amelia Baker: Decided to try a new place near work- Got a spicy tuna hand roll- so fresh and delicious, and spam katsu musubi- amazing! Will definitely go back

Deepa M: Got the abunai spam musubi lunch plate. The spam musubi was good…but too much rice. The Mac salad portion was small and the cucumber salad was too acidic. Try it if u miss spam musubi.

Andrea Hall: This is a solid place. Worth a try. I had the spam musubi plate sides (mac salad and cucumber salad). Seating is limited.

Martina Thurman: wow yum really some of the best poke I’ve had in dc. will definitely come back here

KaeAnne Parris: I got the small bowl of marinated ahi. The portion size was huge, for a small, but pricy for one scoop ($8.80). The bowl tasted good, and you can add lots of toppings and sauces. They do have a $6 special, but it doesn’t come with rice ($3).

La Tingeria: what do users think?

Whit: La Tingeria has the best tasting tacos & quesadillas you'll find in the entire DMV area. I tell all my friends to try this place. The quesadillas are filling and not greasy. The chicken tinga tacos... get them with cheese and you'll never go to another Mexican spot again. This place's food is so good that I travel 25 miles from MD just to have their food cuz i know it won't disappoint!

Kara Zajac: My wife and I did a quick stop here for a snack and it was excellent. The tacos were perfect, and the consommé to dip them in was some of the best I've ever had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Paul Mayeur: I say this the nicest way possible. This place was like a "greasy spoon" low key place but for Mexican food. It was amazing and I liked every single bite I took. I will 100% be coming here as often as my arteries will allow me to.

Sarah Fazackerley: The birria tacos were absolute 🔥🔥 and the consommé was so flavorful. After moving here from California, I’ve repeatedly been disappointed by the Mexican food in Virginia. But I will definitely be back to this place!! The only downside is it’s a really small place and it took about 30 mins to order with only about 10 people in front of me. They also forgot one of the items from my order, but they quickly fixed the issue. The service could have been better, but you can tell they’re hustling to keep up with the volume of customers they get.

Nandee Shabazz: Best tacos the fam has had in a long time. Dad said he hasn't had anything as good since we moved from Cali in 2005. And it's halal? 11/10 would definitely recommend

Ali M.: First time here. Ordered queso birria tacos with beef, Chicken Tinga Tostada, chorizo rice and chorizo quesadilla. Everything was halal. The food was off the hook. Fantastic flavors. Like nihari tacos! The dip for these tacos was perfect companion. I would say these are the best birria tacos I've ever had. I will say I'm glad that this place isn't close by. I'd be ordering food from here all the time. Definitely recommend, service was great. If you haven't been here, definitely try what we had. You won't be disappointed!

Heather Pressler: Wow, just phenomenal Mexican food. Birria tacos are great, also tried the beef tinga and chicken tinga on tostada and sopes - amazing. Their agua fresca and desserts are also very good. 100% will be back and happy to have you in Falls Church!

AJ Syed: Been here 4 times this month. Get the Queso Birria Tacos. I’d personally recommend the beef, everyone swears by the goat, the goat is amazing, however the beef has more flavor. My go to order is 2 beef 1 goat. The chicken is also great however I think the list goes beef, goat, chicken. Skip the torta its good but the tacos are show stopper.

Wajiha Ahmed: The tacos were amazing but the owner’s customer service was even better. Such a kind guy. We had some questions about the meat and he brought out a label and explained the menu to us. I really appreciate him and how he treated us. We had the beef birria, Tinga chicken, chorizo beef, and goat birria tacos with consommé. We also got a chance to try the tostada de chicken tinga and the mangonada gelato thanks to the owner. The mangonada gelato tasted like mango con chile y limon and I absolutely loved it.

Amir Alkateb: I wish I could rate 6 stars. Sooooooo good, and the service was immaculate. The staff was so friendly, and the owner David was so nice. The birria beef tacos were one of the best things ive ever eaten, and the elotes were top quality. We also got pre-seasoned frozen chicken that we made the next day. So good. Wholeheartedly recommend this place. 12/10

Mulan Dumpling: what do users think?

Courtney Sims: Seriously my favorite food truck option. Delicious, healthy dumplings with dipping sauces that will make you wish you right a straw! Yummy, veggie-packed salads bring a fresh crisp to the meal, something I often miss from a quick food truck lunch. And the iced ginger green tea? I just wish they sold it by the bottle! And the service is nothing short of southern charm. I'm always greeted with a smile, they're patient when I have questions, and generous in their portions. Highly recommend Mulan Dumpling!

Suzanne Bankston: If you want fresh organic handmade food options from a kitchen on wheels - Mulan Dumpling is the truck to make part of your routine! As a vegetarian it is difficult to find fresh healthy food options in general - much less on the go. Thank you team Mulan for offering such quality food and the joy you bring me always

Afshin Ravanbaksh: These dumplings are the jam!! If you like fried dumplings, this is the place to go. If you've never had dumplings, then definitely go to Mulan. If you don't like dumplings (weirdo~), then you most definitely need to go there and watch them change your mind. Ok, writing this review has made me really hungry now. I'm gonna go eat an egg, because I don't live near this truck 😭

Anu: The curry chicken dumplings were delicious and fresh. But overall it’s pricey and the service was very slow.

Shokufeh Ramirez: Love this place! Our whole family gets super excited whenever we get to experience these dumplings. Fresh and delicious food, and great staff!

Kate Songer: Excellent food, very fresh and flavorful. Wish I could eat there all the time and they were closer to me! Also very nice people working the food trip, always joyful. Love giving them my business.

Bart Himel: The fried dumplings are fantastic. It is a perfect snack food at the zoo or anywhere else they are parked.

Jason Chubbuck: Mulan Dumpling is great to work with at events! Super friendly, great cuisine, and always professional.

Lottie Dubenskij: Just WOW! Every time I have eaten these dumplings, I am in heaven! I particularly love the peanut sauce, totally to die for.

Taylor Aishman: Bad portion sizes, overpriced, bad service, we waited over 40 minutes for stuff that tasted like it was from Walmart but even then that’d be a better deal than what we got

FreemanSells: The tacos Mexicanos were delicious. The owner looked out for me on a late night out. Go to this food truck if you see it!!!!
Response: Any time! Really glad the Tacos Mexicano hit the spot! Thanks for the 5x🌟 review!

J B: AMAZING CUISINE!! I have tried every item offered and have not been disappointed yet. If you are looking for typical food truck cuisine this is not your place. This is high quality restaurant level cuisine. These folks make magic in the confines of the small kitchen that would beat any restaurant around. If they arrive anywhere near you, stop by and try it out. You will not be disappointed and you will definitely not be leaving hungry.
Response: WOW, thank you SO MUCH for that glowing review!!✨ You brought tears to our eyes and made all of our efforts worth it to bring new flavors of Mexico & Honduras to the people! 😍 FANtastic to hear you've tried THE MENU - we'll have to put you on our taste-testers list for new items. 😉

Timber Pizza Company: what do users think?

Mischa: This is a very cute little place that serves mainly Argentinian-style empanadas, pizza, coffee, beer, and more. On weekends they open from 8am to 1pm, then they reopen again at 5pm. Unfortunately (as of this writing at least), they only serve breakfast empanadas and no pizza during the first opening. So you have to come back after 5pm if you want pizza or pork empanadas. Another downside is that there are three empanadas in each order, and they all have to be the same kind, so you cannot get one squash empanada and one pork empanada. Other than that, all else was good!

Onyinyechi A: Came by here because I was looking for some good pre π day pizza and they didn't disappoint. I did the half Bentley half pepperoni. Had some pork empanadas and ended it with a la mode vanilla gelato and a cookie. Everything was amazing. Staff was awesome 5 out of 5

Brie W.: Okay. Listen here. This place is WONDERFUL. I’ve never had a pizza this good. It’s really inexpensive for such high quality food and we have plans to bring family here when they visit from out of state. It’s interior is tiny but SOOO cute. We will be coming back to this place again. The sweet bar tender was very knowledgeable as well so don’t be afraid to ask questions. The whole staff seems to care about you and it feels really welcoming.

R N: Excellent pizza! The dough is amazing very fluffy and light. The outside seating was very rustic and the vibe as real! The staff was very helpful and courteous. Highly recommended!

Michael Roosa: Amazing window seat with awesome empanadas, Penelope pizza, and a nice cold iPa. Couldn't get much better. Another satisfied customer :-)

Amber Anderson: One of my favorite spots! The Bentley pie is my go-to, but the pies are on the smaller side so it's fun to get a couple pies to mix it up (and have leftovers for a day or two). For brunch, get the veggie, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwich with hot honey for dipping. The biscuits are basically dripping with butter and that's how it should be.

C J.: Great pizza, you can customize a pizza to be more vegetarian-friendly, but I’m not sure have many mods are allowed! It can get busy, so prepare for a wait, but pizza comes out fast and hot!! Call before to make sure they're still open if you come on Monday or Tuesday!! Love it

Aminah Imani: They don’t do slices. So I didn’t eat pizza, I didn’t want to waste food. I saw plenty of ppl with take out boxes. So come extra hungry if you want pizza. The bar is a cool spot. I only came here because I was in the area.

Remo Molino: Awesome pizza and amazing salad. All fresh ingredients. Thin crust. Wood fired oven. Local spring mix salad with fresh radishes and peas. All healthy and amazing taste. Two picnic tables inside and two outside. Lots of take out. Order takeout online or call. Wine, beer and gelato dessert. Restaurant is super clean as is the unisex restroom. All employees are quiet and super efficient. They have a good system here.

Christopher Hyde: -Food was good.-Soda’s were warm-Rude bartender: I asked for a cup and he said no. Then gave everyone at the bar cups for their beer. I had to use this super small medal cup for water.

HALAL GRILL: what do users think?

Brian Parker: This is the best food truck. Seriously, the best. I have made a trip to DC just to get their food before. Currently they are closed due to COVID and I hope with all of my heart that they re-open when they can. I need them.

Scott Johnson: I've eaten there at least 2 dozen times at work and they are the best. The lamb/chicken is really good, the chickpeas are awesome, even the salad greens are pretty fresh. Also very reasonably priced.
Response: Hey Scott, Thankyou for the 5 star review. (:

Ashley Arnold: Best food truck out there
Response: Thankyou Ashley

Pa' Tortas El Papi: what do users think?

Igor Duenas: In Mexico City there is a Torta cart that is known mostly to locals and has the best Tortas in the whole city; I have not had a torta as good as that until I ate the Torta Cubana here, it is amazingly delicious. My whole family loves their food, we have tried the Torta La Pechugona, it is the best chicken “sandwich”/torta we have tried anywhere. If you are more in the mood for a classic torta, the Torta Del Chavo can’t be beat. While their name and main menu items are tortas, their tacos are better than ANY other restaurant or food truck in DC, VA or MD. Just like their tortas, the tacos taste like you are getting them from the best local hangout in Mexico City. I recommend that you get a few Al Pastor tacos, but don’t forget to try their Chorizo and steak tacos. We always get one or two orders of tacos to complement our tortas. I can’t wait to try every item in their menu.

Itz Kurama: The best tacos and Tortas Arlington va #1 the best service and cleaning plates 👈🏻👈🏻👈🏻

Michael Burner: Lovely tacos and chicken torta. Very fast friendly service, and super great prices. If they’re in town, I’m going here.

Fat Pete's BBQ: what do users think?

Tahoma Lewis: Thank God was given a gift card to cover my lunch. I was in the mood for BBQ, and wanted to try somewhere new. I partially regret it. Although the delivery was prompt, what I received was unacceptable for the price spent ($16.00) for this chopped brisket sandwich (even though it was tasty) and $5.25 for the mac & cheese (which was pretty good and rightly priced). I'm lucky if there was 3 full tablespoons of meat on here. Look for yourself. I don't mind paying for a good sandwich, but the price didn't justify it.

José FERREIRO (ホセ フェレイロ): Very nice place for BBQ 🍗🍖. A bit dark for me during rhe day. A full wall of TVs ( baseball, indy car , English’s premiere league) on the walls. Wide range of beers and even choice for wines 🍷. Waiter pleasant and checking everythig was ok. Parking not so easy 🅿️. Need to say i do not know well the neighborhood.

Jason Lin: First time here, left with an overall good impression. Good food and attentive staffs. I do recommend the double smoked pork belly bites, a good appetizer to prepare your palate for what’s to come. I got half rack of the baby back ribs, it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it’s pretty good. The meat was tender and almost falling off the bone. And their potato salad was good too.

Van Norn: Very subtle place. Clean design and easy access, near the national zoo. Food is solid for a bbq place. For me I had the brisket melt sandwich with a side of hush puppies and a house salad w/ balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The brisket was soft and tender, being a southerner, it was missing some more flavoring for my taste...added a bit of the vinaigrette and it had a nice bite. The house salad was simple and good and the dressing was just right and not to glaring. The hush puppy was not my favorite as it was dense and a bit bland for me. Overall good experience.

Heather Holman: Amazing! We stopped in for lunch after visiting the zoo. Immediately welcomed by PJ. It was pretty busy and my boyfriend and I grabbed a couple seats at the bar. I got the Burnt Ends Grilled Cheese and he got the Brisket platter. Both were SO good, juicy and tender. I really can’t decide if the food or customer service was better. Wish I lived here so I could come in everyday.

Crystal Nelson: I never write reviews but I’m so upset. I order from their food truck-1 meat 2 sides plate. The pork was cold, 1 tiny thing of BBQ sauce and for the price of $19 dollars there was hardly any pork and as you can see from the picture a giant piece of burnt meat. The sides was barley 1 scoop. Don’t go here unless you want to waste your money!

Roxie Brown: We hired Fat Pete's BBQ as our wedding caterer, and you guys... let me tell you HOW MANY COMPLIMENTS WE GOT!! Everyone was gushing about how good our food was, the staff of Fat Pete's was AMAZING - extra special shout out to PJ and Woody, both of whom we could not have succeeded without. They also brought the best energy, enthusiasm and love to our event, we could not have felt better taken care of. So.... if you're planning an event, these guys absolutely CRUSH event catering!! Love you guys!!

Jen Taylor: I ordered the ribs, greens and Mac & cheese. Every bit of it was horrible. The ribs were w half cooked. The greens had so much vinegar on them you couldn't eat any of it the max taste as if it was prepared with power generic cheese.the hush puppies had some sort of garlic pasta inside of them ( never indicated on the menu. The corn bread was burnt on top and bottom. My daughter and I tossed it out. I do not plan to ever go there. Inot to mention we were visiting DC. I would think 5 or 6 times before I would go back there. I wish whomever eat there the best. Don't complain because you have been warned...

Nicole Wheelock: Great food and service! Two of us enjoyed the burnt ends grilled cheese. Two of us enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich with their sweet sauce and their spicy sauce. The chicken wings with the sweet sauce were also delicious!

Jennifer Patterson: I called Fat Pete’s directly to let them know I had ordered plain smoked wings and received fried old bay wings. The man who answered the phone was so rude and defiant he proceeded to tell me their system didn’t allow them to serve plain smoked wings, you MUST CHOOSE A SAUCE. The app didn’t appear that way, in fact it even said the sauce choices were optional!!! After that argument I simply asked why I receive fried wings then, if I ordered smoked??? In which HE PROCEEDED TO TELL ME their wings go through a two part cooking system where they are smoked and then fried!!! I said well then why do you offer the option of fried or smoked if they are all BOTH SMOKED & THEN FRIED!!!??? To no avail I never got any help or apology or even real reason as to why my wings weren’t prepared as ordered. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM FAT PETE’S BBQ AGAIN!!!! 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

District Taco: what do users think?

Luke Chang: Food was okay. Not a lot of space to eat in-door. Layout is different, with up-stairs level. Services was okay. 2 unisex restrooms. Cleanliness needs improvement. I like the setup so I can see the food being made. Not bad, not great, just average. Overall, I would come here again.

Kevin Rayan: Always a favorite for lunch or even dinner when I am in DC. It’s reasonably priced for DC and the tacos are so delicious. They replaced the soft drink machine in the photo that was unique to them with coke products modern machine and I am happy about that. I always get water but now my options improved. Highly recommended that you try them.

Emma Heys: Great food! Delicious veggie options and a fab selection of fountain drinks. Charming art deco building

Darmesha Holland: I used To visit this location almost everyday for lunch as I worked Right across the street, I haven’t Been here since before COVID before today. I was Not happy with my service today as the salsa bar was closed the employees had to place my salsa in containers, I was Told by a male employee that I was Limited on the amount of salsa I could Have because they charge for extra. I have no issue with paying extra for condiments but the way I was Told was very rude
Response: Thank you so much for reaching out to us with your feedback on your recent visit with us. We have had to discontinue the use of our salsa bars for the time being, and apologize for the disappointment surrounding that. We will make sure our team is more informative when it comes to explaining and offering our new limits on dispensing sides of salsa. I apologize for the inconvenience, regardless, and want to make this right for you. Can you please send a copy of your receipt to taco@districttaco.com?

Love Isbeautiful: Before the pandemic I used to eat here often since I work one block away. Since we are now back at work, I decided to eat here again….twice. The first time, my order was completely incorrect. I didn’t have time to contact the store because I had a meeting to get to. Needless to say I tried eating some of the food and it just wasn’t good. The rice was hard and tasted old. Everything else wasn’t fresh like it used to be. The second time, which was today, again the rice was hard and tasted old, the bacon wasn’t cooked all the way through, and the chicken tasted old as well. I’m not sure if we can blame the pandemic for the poor quality of the food but I won’t be eating here anymore.
Response: Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback on this recent visit with District Taco. I'm so sorry to hear about the conditions of the order you received, and we definitely want to make this right for you. Our ingredients should always taste fresh and we pride ourselves on the high quality of our products. When you have a moment, can you please send a copy of your receipt from this order if it is still available?

Amy Tucker: I had the three tacos on flour tortillas with carne asada. Hubby had three tacos on corn. They were EXCELLENT. The meat was smokey and tender, super juicy. The habanera salsa was perfectly balanced. Enough acid with the heat to make it sing on the pallet. I really loved their mission to have a low carbon footprint. The vibes inside were authentic and comfortable and they even have us access to their WiFi!

Melissa Marie: The chips and queso, with pico added, was perfect for an evening craving in the hotel. The salsa was pretty good, but not as good as the queso. They have kiosks inside to order quickly and pay. Dedicated area to pick up orders.

Sir Hiltons: A pretty straightforward experience here. Enter on the left side, order on the right, fill a drink whilst you wait for your food and then I went and ate at one of the tables outside. I had a burrito but there are a range of things to try plus the drinks can be tailored at the machine. This doesn't feel like a large branch from the outside but it was fairly busy at 5pm on a Saturday and there were a fair few people getting orders. Worth a visit if you are looking to eat and be on your way somewhere else within 45 minutes.

Hannah Feldman: I love district taco. The corn tortillas are gluten free and they are delicious. They are thick and they warm them up and they are a joy to eat. The whole set up for District Taco works really well, since you tell them everything you want when you order. I would eat here every day if I could.

Katrina: They scraped the times off the door and won't respond to knocks. Fair enough, but the website says 10. Only the online ordering says 11am. We just wanted to know what time it opened so we tried knocking on the glass because we could see staff. None of the staff would even look us in the eye. They could have at the very least put up a paper sign like the other note. Update: They open at 11 and the food was fine. I think I was already put off by the awkward avoidance of eye contact. so this is a biased 1 star review. People love it here I'm just not coming back. Hundreds of other places to spend my money. Enjoy your tacos people.
