Both refused to help me with proper identification they couldn’t scan my card or anything these people were very rude and unprofessional they even gave me a hard time asking for them too simply take there time to understand that they were miscalculating my age even showing legal up todate age limit on website for this reason both sales associates made themselves make me never want to associate with Exxon I think I’ll stick with shell

Rosemary Ogbenna: Had a flat tire went to shop to ask for assistance and I was charged $20 that was fine in my book, but I went back to buy gas and my car stopped. Just for the shop to help me jump my car, I was charged $20 to do so that I felt it was ridiculous. Someone ask a stranger for a jump and they do it for free but at a gas station that has a mechanic shop asked for a jump I was charged $20. If I was told $5 I would not have had any reason to complain.
Riverside Towing: Came here to drop a vehicle for service mechanic was extremely nice so was the cashier together we all pushed the vehicle Inside. Reasonable prices inside with fresh product! I would highly recommend for service or just a break for fuel.

Teresa Mooney: I drove over a nail in Old Town and got a flat tire today, and I was so lucky to be near this service station to get it fixed. Even though they were swamped, they patched me up and had me back on the road within 30 min. Crist was so kind and helpful and even walked me through how to care for my tires moving forward. They quoted me a very fair price. Very grateful to them for saving the day!
r: Got some work done on my car and Christ took care of me. Easily one of the most kind and honest mechanics i have ever been to. I would easily drive 150 miles to get my car taken care of with his work. He is an example of honest hard worker and he deserves a raise. Trust me go here and ask for him :)
Julianne Jones: I was parked nearby this location and came back to an almost completely flat tire. I drove very cautiously in and within 10 mins they had pulled out a giant screw from my tire, patched it, and had me on my way. They were very helpful and even gave me a few tips on how to fix a few small things myself that I knew needed done. Will definitely go back.
Jesse Steinberg: I don’t think I’ve ever written a review before in my life, but Crist was incredible. I brought my car in for an oil change and inspection, and left with a trusted local mechanic. I often feel like garages can be a real boys club, and owners have tried to talk me into expensive, unnecessary repairs. Crist was fast and efficient even on a holiday weekend, and didn’t try to talk me into additional work. Fair price and friendly owner! I’ll be coming back for sure.
Lindsey S. O'Keefe: I was driving my car when all of a sudden a bunch of lights came on for various things like ABS, oil temp, and other engine things. I pulled into the Alexandria Exxon North location since I was right there and they had big signs for engine diagnostics, inspections and emissions. The first guy I talked to was friendly and said I should talk to the manager. Crist, the manager, checked my car with an Auto link for free and there were some weird codes entered about the transmission. He was really kind and forthright about everything, will definitely go back for other basic auto things! Made me feel at ease and gave honest recommendations about taking my car to the dealership and also said I could call him for a second opinion.
Caitlin Woodward: Wow!! It has been tough finding great service at a fair price in the area, but finally!! I went in for my annual inspection and knew there would be a few big things to fix. Crist and his team went above and beyond with their service and beat competitor prices by HALF in some cases, SAVING ME HUNDREDS of dollars! I’ll be returning for all service needs from here on out :)

Aethan Garrett: Super great guys. Very knowledgeable without being condescending. They’ve helped me with 2 separate issues. Both successful. I’ll be going back for sure. The area can be packed with cars but need not to worry, they know what they are doing.
Bill Jas: Had low tire pressure in all tires and stopped in. The manager immediately had a mechanic reset all tires to recommended pressure levels. No charge and in and out in 5 minutes. Great service and good people.

Critical Chris: Shop around for a better deal on gas, which, as of this writing, is about $1 to $1.25 higher per gallon than pretty much every other station in the area.
David Seabrook: This was the only petrol station (known locally as a gas station, but it only sold liquids) I visited in the former colonies. The prices were very cheap compared to the UK, which was just as well as the car drank fuel like a fish. Access was a bit tight for the huge SUV, but we successfully filled the tank, so mission accomplished.
Consumer Goods: This Exxon allows criminals to scam its customers. Staff does not bring into consideration the safety or well being of patrons. The owner is solely concerned with protecting themselves legally. If you have to go to this gas station, even in high traffic daylight hours, be very vigilant, project your card/money, and expect crime to occur without timely intervention. I would give this business zero out of five stars if Google let me.

Jake Garcia: Maybe the rudest collection of people in NW DC. Got a flat tire on Missouri ave and pull off here. Their shop wasn’t open so I parker by a pump while I waited for AAA. Gas station attendant threatened to call the parking enforcement if I didn’t move my unmovable car. I explained I didn’t want to move my car and mess up the rim, cause you know, the whole flat tire thing. they explained they’re terrible human beings. It went back and forth like that for a bit.
Sarah mc: Friendly, honest, and hardworking. Fixed a tail light that they happened to notice right before I left, no extra charge. Called me before they did any work with pricing and details, and waited for me to call a mechanic friend to make sure the price was fair. Miguel and David are great!!!
Yamrot Mamo: If I can give no star for this store I would. I most of the time pump my gas from this place and the cashier in the convenient store are always pleasant. But yesterday my car broke down after I pump my car, my key would not turn. I have never been abused and harassed like yesterday. Since there is a car shop right there I went in there to ask for help and I was told they were too busy to help and that In fact I am blocking the pump and blocking business ( but the hose is longer and so car where pulling up behind me and pumping gas). Since I had my two toddlers with me , while waiting for my husband and my roadside assistance who were two hours out , I was going up and down asking everybody for help. And again the manager in the car shop send the cashier from the convenient store to tell me to move my car immediately if not that she would be held accountable for not taking care of the gas station or something the like of that. There were three mechanics in the shop watching my every move and entertaining themselves while I was scrambling between taking care of my kids and asking for help. If the gas station or the car shop associated with the gas station all they care about is money more than helping a human being in destress leave alone a mother with two young toddlers , I don’t know what it says about the business. But for me I will not patron that place again or the Exxon who gave responsibility for such kind of business people who have no value for human life.
Jocelyn Rebudan: The lady cashier who assisted me last February 2nd was sooooo rude. I had 3 concerns, The first one was I won the scratch lottery and wanted to claim my prize and she did not understand so I wasn’t able to claim my prize. The second, I requested her if I can enter my phone number to earn points and again she did not understand and I wasn’t able to enter my cellphone number to earn points and the last, I just finished refilling my car in a seconds but she rushed me to move my car because there was a car who just arrived that wants to refill gas. I requested her to tell the driver to wait a bit because I am not done yet. She didn’t understand again, but instead, she instructed me “NO YOU HAVE TO MOVE YOUR CAR”. I still want to add some more gas but she just forced me to move my car. Soooo rude.

Rebecca Emmanuel: I didn’t get gas but the air was free and the elderly man helped me make sure I had enough in my tires. He was kind. Definitely coming back for free air!!
Daniel Ackerman: After driving a classic car from Michigan to DC (for the purpose of driving friends for their wedding), multiple issues came to light (jammed door, headlight issues, etc.) No shop in town was willing to work on the car. I then spoke with Jamie, who understood the emergency at hand. He stepped right in and had everything on the car fixed the same day! Very impressive!
David Savageau: No appointments as far as I can tell. Walk-ins attended to all day. No need to to a dealer. Guys here are knowledgeable about common auto problems and fix them at reasonable cost. Fuel though is expensive. This spot is a kind of crowded focal center on Capitol Hill; all kinds of customers, young staffers, rich lobbyists, tradespeople, moms with kids, older people. Very enjoyable shop. Parking available on side streets.
Elliott Schellinger: Extremely overpriced, but then again it makes sense considering the neighborhood. Limited space to maneuver your vehicle.

Kye Mosby (Grindle Green): Took my Volvo s60 t6 car to this location 7-17-21. To be told that didn’t need break pads. Woody told me that I didn’t need them. I didn’t believe him at all. Woody Kept my car for a 1 1/2 then calls me to say everything was ok. I took it To the other location at 1201 Penn Ave were the service manager put the car in the left in front of me only to show to I did need pads in the back. Woody is a lier! Beware! Tracey Andrew: The folks who work here could not be anymore kind and helpful when an unexpected flat tire popped up. They graciously offered me air and when it was determined the tire needed to be changed, they were quick to help in getting the tire fixed and putting me back on the road. I highly recommend this station for their quality service!

Sarah Dunning: These guys are great and quick for oil changes and tune-ups, but upon my first visit during the pandemic, neither were wearing a mask inside!! I kindly submit: masks on is not only consistent with DC guidance, but would also make your customers feel more comfortable.
Christina Bell: Did the job. Only use in an emergency or for minor issues but be careful.... They wanted me to spend $150-ish for a diagnostic test and led me to think my oil pump was bad. My vehicle was not smoking, knocking, or doing anything out of the ordinary other than the oil light coming on occasionally. I have a 2014 Mazda. Fortunately, I already had an educated guess.... They told me they ran the diagnostic for free (even though I asked them not to) and that there were no codes but the mechanic knew my oil pump ($1500 plus job) was probably bad and that he had seen oil pump failure on a Ford (which is similar) recently. He had not done an actual oil pressure test and yet gave this advice pretty confidently. I went with my educated guess. I gave him the part (I purchased up the street) for $14 and asked him to simply put it in and change the oil....which he did and for that I give two stars. If you are like me and don’t have time to wait and are in a potentially catastrophic situation, this place will at the very least do what you ask. Prices are high but most things in DC are so that’s not a big deal... I would highly recommend reading about your potential issue(s) and discussing them with other mechanics. Then go with an educated guess if you ABSOLUTELY cannot drive your car (my condition). As I said, they will at-least do what you ask. My oil light is now out and my car seems normal. Fingers Crossed. Oil change and oil sensor replacement totaled $278.00. Probably would have been $30- $50 more if I had purchased the sensor from them. If you have the time consider going somewhere else.

Ana Monroy: Best stroke of luck ever! I was stranded by a dead alternator just off 295 midway between NJ and VA and thankfully just minutes from Metro Motor. Greg and the guys took very good care of me and my VW Jetta. They were very attentive and mindful of a stranded customer. If I lived anywhere near them, these would be my guys! The workers did not put up a sign after I informed them, they did not apologize for the incident nor did they refund me my money all of 29 cents due to gas spraying all over me and the ground.

CiCi Chindamo: A little more than a year later after my previous review and I still believe this is truly the best Exxon you will ever receive vehicle services at. A huge and special shoutout to Christ - I came to him with my Range Rover and ended up getting a diagnosis for the vehicle that I unfortunately did not want to hear, however it was an HONEST diagnosis which was also followed by an explanation and Christ made sure I understood everything. He was very helpful by guiding me through the process on what I should honestly do moving forward as much as possible. Christ could have easily said it was a million other things and charged me thousands of dollars to fix what needed fixed or fix something else that didn’t need done and say he fixed it BUT HE DIDN’T! I even took my vehicle to Land Rover after to see if his answer matched with what the dealer had to say and as expected, it was spot on unfortunately (although I was hoping he wasn’t due to the circumstance). Point is - I always refer people to Christ because of his honesty, his professionalism, his reliability, how personable he is, and above all his PASSION for what he does. I will always come to Christ and you should too!

Alyssa Parker: I have been taking my car here for inspections and regular maintenance since 2016. They are very easy to work with (Negash is my dude!) and the pricing is fair and I trust their recommendations. I have had my brakes replaced there and am having my struts replaced this week. I started coming here because I worked down the street and several of my colleagues took their cars here and now even though my office has moved, I still make a special trip to take my car here!

Elijah Chandler: I just came to this gas station for fuel. My card kept declining at 10:40 PM. the store closes at 11 PM. (Yet GPS says midnight) regardless, the card kept declining when I had money in my account. Tried going to the cashier only for the lady to tell me she was closed when in fact there was an open sign on. I went back to my car to find out that she flipped the sign to closed and turned off all of the pumps. Mind you I was on E for my car. This gas station closed early for no apparent reason and just said sorry I can’t help you even though it was during business hours. Poor customer service and very lousy. I’ll bring my business down the street from now on where they are consistent with their hours and keep there pumps on after cashier closing.
Eric San José: Easy to see right off of South Washington Street servicing Alexandria and the adjoining areas of Virginia. Convenience store on premises. Public Restrooms are available with a key from the store. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. Nice staff. We will definitely be going back.
Oleg Asanbayev: Took my car here for a basic oil change and I brought my own oil. The guy at the cash register quoted me $25 to change the oil. At pick up, the bill is $35 with extra charges for hazmat/parts and taxes... Very sneaky of them.

And guy sitting on a stool inside besides the cashier. Resavoir (sp?) may be part of our water supply but no free water, it gets shipped in, sits in a fridge and have to buy. Ok for carbon emissions...

Alex Joseph: Terrible car wash. It malfunctioned and turned off 10 seconds into it. Gas station NOR “owner” of car wash were able (so they claimed) to issue a refund. Credit card company issued me a credit but said merchant will still get the money from it. Disgusting that they can profit off of their poorly maintained equipment.

Arnold Thomas Bigger: Using the mobile app will make fueling up quick and easy. Early mornings on Saturdas or Sundays will give you a choice of pumps and quiet time to clean your windshields.
ytcarol: Honest place run by Dave, personable and professional. Always a good experience. One of the few places you can still get free air - my regular stop for fuel, and tire repair too.
Lelia Moors: This was Circle Exxon, just south of Chevy Chase Circle. The gas prices are astronomical, but the mechanics are great. Repairs done quickly and correctly. Mechanics always friendly and knowledgeable.
Chris McDaniel: I think this place is great. I have never taken my car to a place where the folks are honest and square dealing but this place is that. I have tried to get them fix stuff and they wouldn’t cause there was nothing wrong. Quick service. Dave is the man!
