Greg S.: An older friend on Capitol Hill referred me to Distad’s awhile ago after my mechanic left town. They have been everything one would hope for from a mechanic - honest, very fair prices (for DC), and the work is always done on time. Owner is a good guy and a total straight shooter. I have been a loyal customer now for several years. They have earned that trust.
S. K. Hill: They refuse to get their air and vac pump fixed. Been like that for a couple of months.

P M: I couldn’t say enough good things about the service here. Not only were they able to accommodate me super last minute because I had just gotten a flat tire but they were kind and even cracked some jokes to calm my worrisome self down. They patched my tire up in less than 15 min and most importantly they did it with a smile. I hope I don’t get another flat tire anytime soon but if I do I know exactly where I’ll be headed (if possible). I highly recommend this place for service!! Thank you again!!
Ben Bennett: Best on Capitol Hill! Like everything else in DC, auto repair is overpriced and underwhelming. Not so here! I've been here several times and they consistently exceed expectations. They're honest and never oversell you, oftentimes finding creative ways to save you money. (I was once directed to an auto salvage yard to save on a used part - a true sign they care about you and not overcharging you!) They are super nice and make you feel at home and valued. Just take your car here already!
Jonathan Moore: I'm always skeptical of going to gas station auto shops in a city as they tend to be overpriced and try to up-sell you or rip you off. This was not the case at all at Distad's. I was driving around when white smoke started coming out from my hood. Luckily I was close to home and could quickly park and see what the problem was. All I could tell was there was something wrong with the radiator or coolant system. I had been planning to drive to New Jersey the following day so I called Distad's (at about 6:30 pm when they close at 7pm) and asked if they could take a look. I had never been to Distad's before, but they were the closest option I had. They immediately ran a couple tests on the car and said it looked like the engine thermostat was malfunctioning. They would have to order a new part, but because a snow storm was expected to come through the following day they weren't sure how quickly they could get the part. Once I told them I was planning to drive to New Jersey the following day they said they should be able to get the part in and replace it by the end of the following day. Low and behold I get a call around noon the following day that they got the part and replaced it. Not only that but what I went to pick up my car they told me when they started it up to make sure everything was working properly, they didn't like the sound my engine was making. So they looked around and saw that there was a wrong sized bolt holding my engine in place, so they replaced it (for only a couple bucks). In total for parts and labor the whole thing cost about $100 and only took a few hours. My car is a 1996 Toyota Camry with its fair share of problems and I've been resigned to always have the check engine light be on for the past 5 years or so. But since taking my car to Distad's about a month ago, the check engine light has stayed off. I take my car to be regularly serviced at mechanics I trust, but this is the first time the check engine light has actually stayed off. So from now on, I'll be going to Distad's.
Daniel Herman: Awesome and fast service. They earned the trust of me as the customer. They always fix it right. Once they fixed a fuse for my cig. charger port and it broke again because there was metal in the port. They fixed it 1-2 more times free of charge and teaching me how to do it and why it kept breaking at the same time. They are the best and have the nicest staff and r. If you have a choice between distdads and someone else, no matter the price go to Distdads because they will fix it and if they can't they will tell you straight up instead of trying to fix it and charging you they will tell you they can't and you don't lose money. Also my ceiling was coming down at the front blocking my rear view mirror and they said it would cost a lot of $$ so they suggested stapling the front which worked. At any other gas station (not all but many) are in it for the money so they would say yea we will fix it and all that time all is needed is a staple, but not Distdads they are honest and value their customer well being, they want to keep their customers because they are honest with their customers. GO TO DISTDADS WHEN YOU HAVE THE CHANCE. *DISTDADS IS THE NAME OF THE STATION AND SORRY IF THE SPELLING IS WRONG.

Erik Belmont: Avoid getting repairs at this location! I've been bringing my car to this autoshop for the past three years until I made an unfortunate discovery. Two weeks ago I brought my car into the shop due to a faulty check tire pressure light. They call me later to say that the pressure light was fixed but my water pump, strut tubes and upper engine mount needed to be replaced for a total of $2,317. I took my car to a different shop for a second opinion. The technician at that shop walked through each item that BP stated needed to be replaced and checked the car will I watched. He said there wasn't anything wrong with the water pump, engine mount and strut tubes. To summarize, the BP station lied to me. Reflecting on my past maintenance conducted at the BP station I realized that every single time I brought in my car the technicians discovered thousands of dollars worth of repairs that needed to be completed. I wouldn't be shocked if they lied about those repairs as well. Do not go here for repairs. In fact, go somewhere else to get gas. Their staff are swindlers and can't be trusted. Don't give them your business.
Kelly Prizel: The kindest staff ever! We are driving from Florida to New Jersey and our check engine light went on- it’s hot and we have our dog with us. A nightmare right? But they were helpful, quick and put things right enough to get back home. 5 stars for sure!
Tristan K.: DO NOT GO HERE FOR AUTO REPARS. I got a quote from the BP auto shop regarding getting my alternator replaced. They overcharge for parts and heavily overcharge for labor (like four times as much), and tried to tack on more than $2,500 in completely unnecessary charges as well. Just scammy vibes all around.
Marshmallow Willy: I have been bringing my vehicle here for years. They are open late and will fix something for you even if it’s close to closing time. Jay, Mamadoo and the rest of the staff are great mechanics and very professional.
WoodleyParker: Have used this service station numerous times and have found that the workers there are professional: knowledgeable and courteous. My car is a SAAB so many parts are not available except on the internet, and the mechanics here are willing to install parts that I track down myself. Always excellent service!
Nelson Cunningham: John was a lifesaver this past Sunday. My daughter was all packed for the 7-hour drive to school when we noticed a strange rattle under the car. We were very happy to discover that this BP station has a mechanic on Sunday.. By 9 am, John had the car up and discovered a critical bolt was missing. He did not have one in stock but drove to a local hardware store, found a similar bolt, cut it down so it would fit, and attached it securely. By 11:30 am, a very happy college girl was driving off to her senior year in a repaired and safe car. And -- all for a very reasonable price. John made a young woman very happy, and her father as well. Thanks!
Sam Phillips: I brought my car there for a replacement headlight and coolant. The guy said he'd do it for $30 right there. Then about a week later my car started acting up and the engine would stall. I brought it back and was told I was lucky because this repair would only cost $560 as opposed to the other option it could be (knock sensor) which would be "way more". After the repaire the car ran fine for about a week then started acting up in the same way. When I brought it back I was told the knock sensor needed to be fixed and would cost $900 400 labor the rest for the part. When I asked to clarify I was told they had told me so a week before and I choose not to fix it, which is a lie. Anyway they said they'd see what they could do and call me by the next day at noon. They didn't get back to me for 4 days and when they finally did they said it was now broken but drivable. I went with my mom, the owner of the car, to pick it up. I was told I could drive it so I left and she got a headlight replaced. When she went to leave he car stalled the same way mine did. She was then told it was because the battery was disconnected, total crap. Then my car stalled again on my way home so I called, obviously angry and was told "I don't know what to tell you" You're a garage that's your job. After I called the owner started really trying to sell my mom a car he just happen to have. This is what makes people not trust garages. Horrible I'm convinced I was cheated out of money and my car possiable messed with. DO NOT GO HERE.

Glen Bradley: 8 pumps, only #3 works... terrible signage. Pump 6 said pay inside but only # 3 pump works (I was at #6 which said pay inside). Middle of COVID-19 increase and only half the staff wear masks.

A Diaz: This place robs people. My nephew went and purchased just one soda, not even a large one just a 20 oz one and they charged him over five dollars for it. Been coming here for years and I know for a fact that’s not the correct pricing. His older brother went with him the second time and they refused to refund the excess money that they stole. They took advantage of a child. Y’all should be embarrassed
dipika: Last week I pulled into a pump that looked like it had been melted by a blow torch. Literally everything - screen and pump handle and all - were melted. Protect your life by avoiding this disaster waiting to happen.

Margarita Valencia: I'm submitting one star to get your attention to the much needed grass trimming that needs to be done. This will also help people from throwing trash in this triangle. Ever thought of throwing down some wild flowers in this triangle? Easy to care for- no grass to cut and it would make this corner quite pretty!
Letitia Hall: This station fails at two of the most basic services a gas station provides: taking credit cards and filling gas tanks. I was there on August 1st and tired three different credit cards in reader at the pump. All of them prompted me to see the cashier. OK, sometimes the readers are going to be faulty. If that's a temporary problem that they are fixing, then there's no real problem. However, when I went in "see the cashier" she swiped my credit card and then REFUSED to let me fill my gas tank. She said, "tell me how much you want." So I told her that I wanted to fill me tank. She said, "you have to give me a number to put in." And I told her that I don't know how much a full tank will total. I said, "You have my credit card, and you can charge me what the full tank costs." She just shrugged and said nothing. "OK," I told her, "I'll take $5 and then go fill my tank somewhere else." Again she just shrugged. The credit price, by the way, was a full ten cents over the advertised cash price, but I am sure that their policy of making customers limit their purchases keeps their card fees high. A local Shell station filled my tank and accepted my credit card for the full purchase. So I will never again go to this BP station unless my car is running on fumes and then I will buy 1 gallon, just to get me to another station. When a business requires me to be inefficient then I will keep my business as close to zero as possible.

Harley Dree (The Hudson Path): Lower fuel price than surrounding stations.Plenty of pumps and entrances from each direction. Police seem to frequent the area. Quite a few people sitting & hanging out in the parking lot.
Austin Graff: This gas station is at an odd intersection near a strip mall that includes a Safeway and USPS. The prices are comparable to other gas stations in the city. I went on a cold day so the gas took FOREVER to pump out, but that's not their fault. They also have more lanes than other nearby gas stations and a little hut to buy snacks.

Dave Pearce: Excellent repair service at a reasonable price. Owner John Lee has kept my 93 Eagle Vision running longer than it had a right to expect, and my 97 Camry is closing in on 200 k. Good advice on passing emission testing.

Eduarda “AstroBaby91” Queiroz: Went to get a tire patched---not only did it cost $45 (which is absolutely ridiculous!) but the "repair" was undone a few days later. I took it back, demanded a proper repair and what did I end up with? The same tire busted a few days later AGAIN. Will stick to getting my repair up Georgia Ave in Silver Spring instead for $25. Do not get your car serviced here.
ThatKidfromBKLYN !!: Over priced gas....air pump never works and if you ask them is a big issue.....a older lady needed air and her router was low the mechanic wanted to charge her for it....i needed a jump at the same time and it was about 22 degrees. I asked him he told me $20. What? Strangers give jumps for free.... no need to capitalize on peoples misfortune!!! Thank for the service or lack there of... oh and watch your car =)

Robyn Giselle: Gas was mid-advertised. Price was significantly higher than advertisement. Shop owner parked in way of patrons making it difficult to access pump and creepily lurked, watching me pump gas. Will not return.
Julious Gegger: Needed gas desperately so i stopped at this place to get gas and some snacks it was just a little too over priced and service was not that great nut beggars cant be choosers.

Kenneth Wiseman: It's a gas station. You pump your own and pay at the pump. What else can be expected? They don't pump for you, so don't get excited. Maybe you go inside and buy something but don't expect too much there either. Your standard selection of gum, chips, and drinks are what you will find there.

T. Gafford: Convenient gas station on 13th & N st., NW. Make sure you have your credit or debit card or you have to prepay. There is a tiny convenience store, however, no inside access. If you have stayed in the area it's the perfect place to fill up the rental car before heading back to Reagan International Airport.
Zach Traynor: Do NOT attempt to use the air machine. It will take your money and never actually turn on. Staff was dismissive and refused a refund. Obviously, it's just a couple bucks so not a huge deal, but as they seem to *know* it doesn't work, it's just scummy.
Dale Stoudt: On 5/29/22 got gas at 9:15 am by 10:15 my card information was stolen and used in Horsham,Pa for 175.00. cheap gas ain't worth this.

Steve Galloway: The BP station at 6300 Georgia Avenue West is a long standing landmark in its neighbourhood, providing fuel, car maintenance and a car wash. The convenience store is limited to refreshments and snacks but the forecourt equipment operates without glitch and access to and from the station is easily achieved from a few directions.

Mr Jonny , Ken and one more gentleman whose name I couldn’t remember all so fast and good However the car wash is not so good . First time I got my car for this auto wash and not happy. There are a few vacuum cleaning and air stations also available
Albuta Smith: They have drug addicts and sloths lingering at this car wash. About six months ago, I went to the car wash and got assaulted by one of the drug addicts. DO NOT GO TO THIS GAS STATION/CAR WASH, it’s very unsafe! The management doesn’t care about the wellbeing of customers.
Alan Chanflon: My car broke down at the pump. It was about 11 pm so the shop was closed. All night employees/ drunk people harassed us. Threw beer cans. These employees all of them drunk were crazy. What a nutty experience. Don't stop for gas or anything else here

Jewlia Boose: Raggedy, do not go here! Service is trash, mechanics are trash, & you’ll be harassed by addicts nonstop… There’s too many idle cars waiting to be serviced parked haphazardly to the point you have to maneuver your car 7 times just to reach a pump…you can’t access the air pump for your tires either unless u want to risk denting your car on one of the 12 old rusty cars they have sitting there waiting to be serviced. It’s more of a parking lot that’s a fire hazard than a gas station smh

James Dillon: Dangerous place at night. Not just homeless people panhandling. They sell k2 and PCP openly all night long right next to the cashier window. I live near by and watch this almost every night, people on foot, bikes and cars drive right up and are served their drugs. Often then stick around to smoke it right at the gas pumps. Police try to Have a presence there but are stretched too thin. Often these guys get high and rob people. I myself have been assaulted by a man with a screw driver in an attempted robbery. BE VERY CAREFUL AND AWARE! If you must use this gas station at night!

Zach Traynor: Fraudulent pricing. They post 5.00 on Google and it's 4.99 on the big board. So why do the pumps say 5.09? Because they've hidden the card prices on a smaller board that is not visible from the roadway. Might technically be legal under DC law (it's posted "on premises", but definitely not "conspicuously" or "near the main price display"), but just scummy. Go elsewhere. Editing in response to BP's reply: The issue is not that there is a surcharge for paying with a card. That is fine. The issue is that this surcharge is not disclosed to the customer until they have parked at the pump. There are 8-10 stations within a half mile, all of which clearly display both cash and card prices. This station intentionally hides the card price to deceive the customer. That's the scummy part.

Jim B.: Station lot and inside was clean. Garage was a little messy but seemed more organized. The owner is a nice guy. The people inside are foreign but nice, even tho sometimes it's hard to understand. Their politeness outweigh the language barrier. Great Prices !! I was headed to the station a few blocks up and noticed the prices has reduced. So I stopped in. When I paid for my gas, I noticed I was looking at the credit price. The cash price was even lower. I'm going back tomorrow to fill up !! 👍😊
Monica M: The staff at this gas station are really nice and start to know you if you pay inside often. If you can catch it at a non-busy time it's a great gas station. It's really difficult to navigate if all the pumps are full and a line starts to form.
Mattie Hanley: I commute straight south into DC every day and this is where I always get gas because its consistently 20 cents or more cheaper than everything else. get the BP rewards program hooked up to your credit card too and make this your go-to.
HellScythe Necromance: There a problem with their gas. It so distilled that im not getting the same mileages as As another BP station. The other one i was able to get 300 mile on a half tank. But this station if barely 200 tops. They need to be inspected.
RJ Brodsky: The gas comes out ridiculously slow and it doesn’t shut off when the tank is full. So you pay extra for the gas that spills out of your tank because you were cleaning windows on the other side of the car because it takes so long to fill. Bathroom was also broken and unusable. Skip this place.
Blake Wilson: One of the cheapest gas stations I know of in the Area. And getting bargain gas is not a hassle. No one was panhandling, in turn there was no one arguing with panhandlers. They seem to sell Ethiopian treats on the inside. I saw something that looked to wrapped in banana leaf. I also saw what looked like Esfiha. I should have gotten one to heat up and eat at home. Pa' la proxima. I would give 4 Stars but the pump I used was wonky. It was too cold to be jimmying it, following the hand-written directions to get it to work.
Michael Bennett: Best Priced gas station in town, but hard to get in the gas station because it is a little small and cars enter from both sides not following to the enter and exit signs.

Carla Moussavou: Had a low tire and came here to add air. Realized it had hole so proceeded to call road side assistance and since they were taking forever, my bf just just began to change it and the cashier comes to inform us that we must leave. How can I with a flat tire? I do not know. We explain the situation to him and he continues on aggressively and tell us he does not care. Had to call the police because I felt harrased. So much for customer service.
Chris: If I could give this place negative stars, I would! The gas for the 87 octane rating was over $3.60 a gallon when all the other gas stations in the area were hovering around $2.50 a gallon!! I didn't realize the price until it was all filled up!! What a ripoff. Will never patronize this place again and will be staying away from BP stations in the future. What a way to ruin the brand.
K R: FRAUD: be careful using you debit card at this station they charge a minimum to use your debit car which is against visa policy! Signage inside store states “5.00 minimum, credit/ debit or $.35 card purchase service fee” this is unethical....

Harold Mitchell: Had trouble with the window on my car, took it to several places just to find out no one can work on foreign cars! I pulled into this service station and not only can the mechanics on duty repair the window, the price was very reasonable if I ever need a mechanic in the future I will always stop here first. The mechanics are awesome!!!!
Sharon Brooks: I used the vacuum there to clean my car's carpeting and I loved the location of the vacuum. It's not in a secluded corner and there were two stationary trash bins on either side of the vacuum. It's more expensive than most of the stations but it worked extremely well. I will definitely use it again.
