Jonathan Zator (JZ): I've been to many DMVs over the years. I was in and out within 45 minutes. Service was courteous. Being next to the metro stop was convenient. Took off a star because the waiting area residually smelled of cigarettes and body odor (even while double-masked).

Omoyeni Oyekola: I was so disorganized and completely clueless on the documents I needed to bring. But K. Castro was extremely nice. She was so patient, understanding, and helpful. She really made my day so much better and lighter. Her customer service is top notch! Like, she was so effective, and courteous while still maintaining her professionalism. The world will be so much better if everyone had her interpersonal skills. Thank you miss. Castro! I wish you a genuinely wonderful life!

Mathew Crichton: Quick and easy! I showed up in the morning right at 8:15 a.m. when they opened. I was probably the 30-40th person in line, and I was all done with getting my out-of-state driver's license converted into a DC driver's license within an hour. Great customer service, and easy to understand process. Definitely coming back to this location next time I need something from the DMV.

Tiffany Leung: It’s a bit surprising to be giving a DMV 5 stars, but they were great. Yolanda was so helpful and was incredibly kind. Be sure to look on the DMV website to make sure you bring all the correct documents. Have it printed and ready when you go. It’ll speed up the process and make it quick and painless for everyone.

Deviana Dewi: I came here to apply for an ID card. I arrived 30 minutes after the office opened, and there were 19 people ahead of me. The wait time was reasonable although I brought my book with me. Staff were organized, particularly Ms. Castro was so nice!

Nils Hünerfürst: You have to get there an hour before they open or you come after noon then you have nearly only 5 minutes of waiting. The rest is up to you.

Drew Hall: The rudest staff you will meet anywhere. They made my wife cry when she tried to offer proof of residence and they wouldn't explain why they wouldn't accept the documentation she provided. Unprofessional service, completely unacceptable.

Dicko Sulle: Great efforts to help but some employees are rude, arrogant and ignorant of their work. It hurts to get treated poorly because an employee is sitting on a system they don’t even understand. I was happy a senior worker fixed the issue but I was affected adversely and failed my test

Jason Bragdon: This is literally the worst dmv I’ve ever been to. Service is so slow and the people behind the desk are so rude. I waited 2 hours just to be told they don’t accept the paperwork I brought in to transfer my license over but when I spoke to them on the phone prior they said it was perfectly fine. 2 hours of my life I can’t get back and I will never return here again. And to the rude lady who laughed at me for waiting all the time to be denied I pray you get your karma!!

Jasmine J: Their service attitude is very poor. Every time I come in, they ask me to take different materials, different service personnel, and different materials. This makes me feel difficult. Tired and sad. Came here several times.

Tisha Reese: Ran in to convert my out-of-state license & I was in & out in under 30 minutes. Customer service was outstanding from the moment I walked in until I left. I interacted with 3 employees & all 3 were delightful & superbly helpful. Shout out to Ms. Tolliver for making this my most positive DMV experience ever. Also, it was raining & chilly so I drove instead of walking & it was easy & convenient to park. A+ experience.

Cornelius Tyson: Always A 2 trip occasion. Web page never gives you entire information. This time they wanted to know we're making payments on the vehicle. Though the Library of Congress Federal credit union plastered all over paperwork. Iam understanding why others get there vehicles registered in Md., and Va, etc.

Makhiya Grinage: My Grandfather & I came here for a tag switch out, Ms.Nelson helped us to a certain extent. She gave us trouble, smart remarks & bad body language. She called the supervisor over, who was NO better. Finally another supervisor came out and helped us.. I WOULD NOT recommend this DMV to anyone. Benning Rd DMV, or GTown. I feel if I wasn’t here with my grandfather it would’ve been worse, it seems that this particular DMV treat elderly mean & nasty. Every-time it’s a run around, either they’re telling you that what you have isn’t enough for whatever service. 2/3 people that helped was mean and nasty. This isn’t a good way to treat an ELDERLY person, AT ALL! 2/10 stars for M St DMV.

Sean Randolph-Tensley: This was THE BEST DMV experience I've ever had. I went in to get a new DL had all of my paperwork but the young lady was very nice and wanted to help. This is the kind of service that is expected when I go to get service from the DMV.

Ernest Redding: Nothing against the employees. If you live out of state and handling a trust, Washington,DC is not friendly in that regard. I found out today that out of state property owners do not have a legal right to park in front of the property they own, not without a semi-annual permit; the permit cost is just north of $300. I find this disturbing for many reasons, one particularly is, out of state property owners pay a much higher tax rate than residents. Now add this; if for whatever reason you should need to come to Washington,DC for more than two hours to take care of your property; the city is not legally able to issue you a permit because Washington DC is not your primary or secondary residence. Sounds confusing huh!! Trust me it is. #dcisnotafriendlyplacefornonresidents

Cameron: Had amazing customer service. Moving from out of state so had to change my license and register my vehicle with just two short visits (I had to come back because I hadn’t changed my insurance to a DC policy) but Miss Perkins took amazing care of me and had me in and out in less than half an hour.

Nyya G: I am a mental health social worker. I have come to this location with my Asian consumer 3 times in the past 2 weeks to get an ID. Today, I went to the location hoping to get the consumers ID, but instead I was sent to counter 15 with a Black worker who was clearly unhappy to do her job and service the community. I am beyond frustrated about how these people in public service roles continuously give horrible customer service and terrible attitude towards the people of the community. If the workers are not satisfied with there job. There are a lot of other people that would love to take there position. Every time I come to this location it’s nothing but bad attitudes and horrible customer service. I don’t like this for DC. Benning Ridge location would never. Literally disgusted, after this I’m going to news channel 7, where someone is always on your side.

Isaac Holt: I have only been to this DMV twice, and both times I was impressed with it. When I came to take the test for my learner's permit I didn't run into any problems dealing with the people who worked there or the testing operation. Taking the test was very easy and after I took it (luckily I passed) the staff were very helpful with sorting out all of my documents and getting my permit officialized.

Amruta Ghate: Painless and the person I worked with was wonderful. She mercifully printed out a form for me that I was missing.

Chris S: Absolutely an incompetent and disrespectful joke. Lady at the counter for checkin has no idea what titling/registration rules are for anything that isn’t a standard type of vehicle and gives you bad instructions, read the rules and don’t listen to her. My number was called to counter 13, she waited one whole minute and went to the next person. I was standing in front of her counter and she pressed the button for the next person. Refused to accept me, forcing me to get a new number and wait 20 more minutes. M. Lewis immediately caught an attitude when I point out him contradicting rules. He then maintained that attitude through the whole interaction leading to him refusing to accept the correct documents and refusing to service me. I have wasted to much of my life trying to deal with these terrible people.

Delainey Boyd: I love this DMV! Every time I go I am in and out. As long as you do your research and bring in your documents you’re set. I forgot the initial form but they had one there for me to fill out. By the time I was done I was being called up. Most recently went on a Friday at 1:15 and was out by 1:45, longest I’ve ever waited was about 45 minutes on a Saturday. The workers are helpful and kind, I’ve never had a bad experience!

Dacia Tett: The staff was so pleasant today. However, the CONTRACTED security guards were terrible. I attempted to tell him that he should greet people before he ENFORCES RULES. I mean a simple “good morning if you have any bottles of water etc. “PLEASE” set it on the table to your left. Instead he kept barking all these demands in a very nasty tone. I just lost my grandma Sunday so this just really disturbed me. Besides he’s just too old to be that mean. On top of him jumping in my face and waving a piece of paper in my face!! I was shocked I will definitely be reporting this issue. Then the young security guard he’s was rude but not as rude. I guess he “deescalated” the issue. If anyone knows the name of the security company or security guards that were there between (11-1 pm) today I would greatly appreciate it.

Ronda Smith: Went in Thurs for a renewal about 12:30 in the afternoon and there were only 2 people in front of me and my entire process was taken care of with my new pic less than twenty minutes. Everyone from the lady at the front desk to the lady who serviced me was nothing short of courteous, professional, and competent. I'll always come back to this location since I've always had a great experience over the years!

Mary Beth Maggio: This is the smoothest/quickest DMV i've ever been too. The first time I went by, the system was down, and the security officer let us all know what services were unavailable, which I really appreciated. While it was disappointing, it happens. SO while I was there I at least checked to ensure my documents were in order. I was glad I did, as the lease extension on its own was not accepted, so I needed to bring the original as well. I ask the woman at the desk when she recommends I come back, and she tells me 10:30 after the morning rush. I head back on Wednesday, and wait MAYBE 5 minutes, before I'm called in. 15 minutes to process my license conversion (Louisiana to DC). and then I am out the door! My recommendation to anyone coming in is to have everything printed, be over prepared (to avoid having to make a second trip) and to go mid morning if you're able. Part of what expedited my process was already having the form printed out, which put me higher up in line.

Rodrigo Gramajo: I had to renew my drivers license. I went to the DMV in Georgetown around 1pm on a Saturday. There were between 15-20 people. I was provided with the information I needed, waited for 10 min while completing a form and then a woman processed my case, reviewed my documents; she was very helpful. She was amicable and made sure I understood the next steps. The next station a young men directed me to do the knowledge test. Again, he was efficient, nice and friendly. My best visit to the DMV in 8 years! Go DMV Georgetown! Keep it like that-

Ling lly: I would like to give them 0 star. Horrible service. I got all documents to renew my license but I got declined by a lady. I left and I went to another location (Benning Ridge) directly with the same documents then I got renewed. I will never even come to Georgetown DMV again. Waste time, unhelpful, and not professional at all. P.S. she said I need to get a MD license since my mother-in-law lives there. But I live in DC.

Lior Maman: The worst service I have ever received in my life! The workers there do not care about the people! I got there to replace my Israeli license with an American license, which only requires me to take the test on a computer, in Washington DC they expect Israeli license and that is also what is written on the Internet! The workers there did not want to let me be tested because of really backward excuses! I asked to speak to their Manager, and that was the highlight! She treated me disparagingly and disgustingly, she did not care about me and more than that she had no desire at all to hear me! I went from there to another branch of dmv within 2 minutes they let me do the test, I passed and got the license! Recommend not to go to this branch, service is just awful!

Mariah Collins: Jessica was AMAZING. She tried really hard to help my husband and I with our issues. She was super friendly! But when it came to another employee Mercy, she was as rude as they come. She kept cutting me off when I was trying to explain my situation and walked off in the middle of me talking. I’ll never understand how people APPLY to work in customer service and treat people unkindly for no reason. What a nasty acting individual.

Kathryn Martin (Kate): Had a wonderful experience at this DMV! I went early on a Saturday, and couldn’t fill out the paperwork fast enough before I was seen. In and out in 30 minutes to change my name and address! The staff were friendly enough and efficient.

Stacey Gwynn: I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel like I have to. This was the best DMV I have been to in the D.C area.. and maybe ever! Everyone was so kind and so helpful - the customer service was outstanding!

MyGoogle Profile: A very bad experience, to be sure. Parking is atrocious, to be sure, but that arguably is not the fault of the store. But when you walk inside, its just them. And I was struck by the level of dismissive rudeness, and talking down to that the counter staff lady showed. The process is complicated when you move from another state, and these people become hostile when you ask questions!!! There is no justification for the level of hate that they have for customers - you know the ones of us with the oney!! NEVER GO HERE

Jacqueline Jemison: I’ve always gone straight to the MVA for needs but with their 2 weeks out appointment slots, I tried this spot. It was a great, efficient experience. The owner was nice, explained what I needed and pretty much made the process painless. Highly recommend!

Gwen Tildon: Super friendly service, and crazy fast. Never braving the MVA again. I had a title issue that I thought was going to be a nightmare but they sorted it out quickly and were obviously very knowledgeable. Friendly and professional and excellent pandemic protocols in place. I wish more businesses were this courteous and obviously concerned about the health and well-being of both their customers and employees.

Daniel Calder: Had a great experience here on Friday. Very quick and responsive service. My issue with my title for my new vehicle was very involved and I can't even imagine what it would have been like if I had tried to deal with this at the MVA. It was sorted out quickly and professionally by the staff at Tags2Go. it isn't just about being easier than the MVA it's about understanding the details and intricacies of the titling process. It's crazy complicated and I wouldn't trust anyone else to keep me on the road legally.

Kathy Byrd: I'm very pleased with the expert and professional service that I received from the young ladies at Tags2Go. I'm so thankful that they have been open and available throughout the shut down, I've used them a few times. They have stayed busy, but the wait is never too long - much much better than MVA. I will never go to MVA and stand in lines again. They are professionally addressing social distancing and sanitizing the store. I felt safe in the store.

Rona Ramoutar: This title and registration place was perfect. I was in and out in 15-20 minutes. I was able to handle all my registration and title needs for my car quickly and in one visit. The woman at the counter was super polite and informative. The social distancing and sanitary procedures here were great. They provided sanitizer at the door and only maintained no more than 2-3 people at a time (including the rep). It wasn't busy when I went and the wait wasn't too long. I'd be happy to come back here in the future.

Beth C: My husband and I arrived at this location 5 minutes before they are scheduled to be opened for business. The door was already opened and we were greeted by the person behind the counter name, Kelly. Kelly gave us a superb service. She was very pleasant to talk to about our vehicle tags situation. She was a great listener and very professional with a nice smile the entire time. Stephanie Graves: Its clean, so thats why i gave it 2 stars but the customer service is horrible!!, i cant renew my tags because they now say i have 2 unpaid parking tickets on a car i no longer own from 2014! and i asked them how could i have registered a NEW car and renew my tags year after year if i had outstanding tickets? their response was the system is catching mistakes it missed and if you dont have a record of you paying the ticket you have to pay it !..DC DNV IS A WHOLE SCAM!!

Ameri Prayer: 👎 I give it three stars only because if you give it one star sometimes it will not show up on Google Maps reviews because they think it's spam. This is a true story: I arrived in Washington DC on January 20th after driving several thousand miles for an annual DC event. And upon arrival I had to go for a covid test at the nearby CVS medical lab near Le Enfant Plaza . I had never been to this area before & I was using Google Maps for navigation. Suddenly I realized I need to empty my bowels urgently. Unfortunately there is not a lot of public restrooms in many places as I travel so I've devised a way to take care of restroom business inside my vehicle as I travel either discreetly using a bottle or a bucket which I appropriately dispose of later. So as I was arriving at the covid testing place I realized I need to take care of bathroom business first. I pulled up to the parking meter intending to pay the meter AFTER I took care of bathroom business which would probably take 5 to 10 minutes. I figured parking enforcement wouldn't come so quickly. I was wrong. In the middle of 'taking care of business', a parking enforcement officer came up to my vehicle and gives me a $30 parking ticket. I could see through the cracks of the coverings that I put over the windows when I need privacy. Obviously I couldn't leave my vehicle and I couldn't get up and start the car or talk to her in the middle of 'doing business'. So I finished doing my duty & then I stuck my head out & told her I had just arrived ... without explaining the exact circumstances. She responded she had 'no way of knowing how long I had been here.' Nor did she offer to void the ticket. I expressed my feelings about it and that was that. However, there is a lesson to be learned: the parking officer clearly could have discerned that somebody was in the vehicle. She could also simply feel the hood to see HOW WARM is the engine to verify the car had just been turned off. Unless she is intentionally taking pleasure in reducing a person's savings, her goal should be to honestly & fairly issue tickets to those who are clearly disregarding parking rules. NOT trying to "get" people in a game of 'cat & mouse' all about seconds or a few minutes. This is NOT a basketball '3 seconds in the lane' violation. This felt like she was being zealous & vexatious. And almost like she knew I had just arrived. I was literally there only a few minutes & literally taking care of a personal emergency inside the vehicle. It just seems too coincidental that she could arrive so quickly. Do they use cameras? Was she following me ? This was BEYOND casually doing one's parking enforcement job. It was targeting. SHAME ON YOU 👎. I feel violated.

Sydney P: They are only there to lie, cheat and steal your money. The system is RIGGED‼ DC is a o e horse town that makes ALL of its 💰 🤑 off of tickets and speed traps. YOU WILL NEVER GET AN HONEST JUDGE‼

Geoff Lucas: Their photo enforced ticketing is super sus. The easy to see number on the ticket is $200 (which is the amount due after due date). The actual amount you owe is up above in the middle of other text. If you're not paying attention, my guess is that a lot of people end up submitting the doubled amount by mistake and I somehow suspect that DC doesn't end up refunding the difference. Super sus way to fill your coffers versus actually protect your citizens.

Edwin jr Melendez: This dnv service is horrible. Dc police harassed me on December 19 2020 at the corner of New York avenue. Dc police keep sending me letter's that I did not do. I was harassed and robbed by dc police. I don't prefer new York avenue police to anyone.

LaKeesha Gardner: I must admit, I was not looking forward to going to this building and interacting with the staff. However, I was very wrong in my assumptions. The staff was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and had great customer service. I thought I would encounter a frustrated staff with lots of attitude. That was just the opposite. I'm from DC and unfortunately, sometimes the services received are sub-par, but this was not my experience today. Great experience. Thank you ladies and gentlemen. Also there were no long wait times and it was very clean and safe.

Michael Bustamante: Service at the DMV is great. However, DO NOT park at the giant next door and walk over. There’s a tow truck that parks across the street from the giant and waits for people to walk off the lot. They quickly drive over and pry your door open and tow your car. It’s an easy $135 for them. I was told by the company that if you walk off the lot for any reason, your car will get towed. That means you can’t go anywhere before or after going to giant.

Rebecca Cottrill: The best DMV experience I've had. While making an appointment meant I had to wait a few weeks to go, it was well worth it. I had no wait. They were waiting on me more than I was waiting on them. They were very competent. Definitely do your research so you know what you need and have it all ready when you get there. The person who helped me was very kind, helpful, competent, and patient with me. Will definitely be going here in the future!

Imani Porter: Great experience!! Went here this morning at 7:30am. Only 1 person was in front of us but by the time they opened at 8am, there was roughly 10 of us here. I was out by 8:20 only because there were a couple of people who made appointments, so they were prioritized ahead of me. The two women I talked to were so friendly and efficient. Tbh as long as you’re polite, have all your documents ready, and let them do their thing… you’ll have no issues!

Stoonookw: The waiting process here just doesn’t make sense. They’re mixing a bunch of random two letter appointments. with one letter walk-ins. A bunch of walk-ins went before me though. I asked about why other walk-ins were going before me and the customer service lady told me to basically sit down and shut up.

Kaytleth Farino: This DMV wasted my time Saturday, February 12, 2022. Got there at 9am did line for almost 30 minutes then got my number waited until 11:40am to get tell that the “system went down” but mind you the pregnant lady that call my number didn’t get her name, she took the picture and made me sign and everything to tell me at the end the “system went down”. Everyone in that DMV waited for hours to get tell at the end that the system went down. They should be smart and should’ve stop people in coming in.

Synergist Synergist (Synergist): SSHHH. Don't tell anyone. Best DMV experience I have ever had. I arrived at the end of the day no appointment. They took me right away. In and out in FIVE minutes. Only drawback is parking is difficult. Our little secret.

Claire Lee: I usually never post reviews but honestly the experience here today was terrible.. I scheduled an appointment for my permit test at 10:30 am today. I went in at 10:25ish and went to the information desk, the lady at the information desk was nice and helpful. However, when I got my number, I had to wait there for almost 2 hours. I would have been fine if I had to wait for 30 minutes. But 2 hours? I literally had an appointment at exactly 10:30. I don’t know what’s the point of scheduling an appointment if walk-in customers get to go in earlier than me. It was really disappointing. My mom couldn’t find a parking spot so she had to drive around the whole time while I was waiting. When it finally became my turn, I tried to go in because my number was literally called but this other lady in the permit test section desk told me to go out and wait AGAIN. I tried to be understanding since I thought she was probably really busy. However, it took 20-30 minutes for her to call me in after I got my number called. When it finally became my turn, she wanted to check my documents again which I already did with the information desk lady before getting my number. But I just accepted it since I thought it was just the system and pulled out my documents. She looked at my residency documents and simply just rejected them. There was literally a deed and a marriage document. I told her that the name on the deed is my stepfather and we moved into his house from another state and there’s a literal proof that my mom got married to him and his address was on the document. But she said she can’t accept it since my mom’s name isn’t on the deed. Lawd of course it’s not going to be on the deed if it’s his house, ms lady💀. She really wasn’t understanding at all and made me waste my 2 hours, I couldn’t even take my permit test. And the absolute hilarious thing is that the information desk lady accepted my documents and she even asked this other lady next to her and she approved them as well. Please dmv, do not waste people’s precious time. It’s not like the only stuff on my to-do list are going to dmv and watching netflix. I’m really just asking you to be more efficient and cooperative.

Christopher Lugo: This place was fantastic. I waited less than 10 minutes and was out the door in five. I’ve never had a good DMV experience until now.

Crescenzo Esposito: I had to visit the DMV multiple times in the last years. I have tried many different DMVs and it never had a pleasant experience, until today. This DMV is efficiently and professionally managed. Not only, the employees are very friendly and willing to help, despite the amount of people that daily shows up. Going Saturday morning to the DMV has never been so pleasant and fruitful

Luisa Parra: Amazing service! This is the best DMV I’ve been to in all the D.C, Virginia and Maryland area. It was fast and attentive. Everyone was very kind and respectful. This was my best experience going to a DMV! I won’t feel stressed anymore about doing any paperwork DMV related because I’ll be coming back to this location !

Lauren James: Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The staff went above and beyond. I was in and out in 40 minutes!! Such a seamless process.

Moni Rich: I was in there for maybe 20 minutes. The service was fast and I got everything I needed. Maybe it was the day I went, which was a Tuesday but my number was called within 5 minutes of receiving it. It's the quickest service I've ever received from any DMV!

Joyce Jones: My visit was horrible. There was only 5 employees working and that work station from number 1-16. The employees were constantly talking to their co-workers. One employee sit at her computer and did not assist one resident for at least 10 minutes. For every one resident serviced there was at least a 5 minute wait before that station called another number. There was no social distancing. After asking an employee how the numbers were called she stated it was based on the residents that had w as cited the longest. After waiting for one hour I left. I did not get the sense that the employees really wanted to help the resident.

Marcela Melbon: I was extremely nervous for this appointment. I only chose this location because it was the only thing available, even though it’s a bit out of the way. I was scheduled to transfer out of state license and registration. The process wash extremely easy and fast. The worker who helped me was so nice and patient. I know the DMV (overall) has a bad rep for poor service, but this was not the case here! My appointment was at 8:30 AM and I was done by 9:10 AM! I thought the vehicle would be inspected at the time (my fault for not reading the instructions thoroughly) but the worker who helped me provided me with ALL the information I needed. She didn’t even seemed annoyed when I asked her the same questions over and over! She was so sweet! Even the security guards there were so helpful and polite. Definitely going back to this location in the future!

CARLA LAWSON: Saturday was a good day to go their, no line between 12 and 2pm closes at 4. My only problem was the customer service on the phone gave wrong information out. Get to the counter and was told needed more information. What happened to apply for your Identification card and get it in your hand, no you have to wait 45 days to get it in the mail. Bring back some retirees who knows the job, these new recruits are young and not remembering what they learned, need more customer service skills.

Chanpen Tee: This is really fast way to do vehicle inspection. It is easy and fast. The instructions are clear and easy to follow There is no line at all. It takes me less than 10 minutes. However you vehicle need to be in model year 2005 or newer. It's open 24/7.

Jay M: Worked for me in June 2022 but took me two tries. Key things: - I manually input the VIN after reading others' reviews - I was less than 30 days before my emissions certification would expire. The car in front of me couldn't get their VIN recognized; I remember reading somewhere that this kiosk only works within 30 days before the expiration date. - If it's raining like it was the day I went, you need to bring an umbrella to cover the screen and something to wipe the screen and keep it dry. Every drop of rain on the screen is interpreted as a screen press (I watched as the screen reacted to rain drops and kept bouncing around); a raindrop cancelled my self-test halfway through the first time I tried it. For the second try, I used an umbrella to fully shield the screen and made sure it stayed dry. Successful.

Jeremy Dodger: Worked great and only took a few minutes. The only complaint I have is that the door to the barcode scanner wouldn't open, so I had to type in the VIN.

Miles Fawcett: Tried adding my vehicle using the scan of the DMV letter barcode, the barcode scanner on the Vin plate inside the door, and manual entry. None of those methods worked and the vehicle was unrecognized and I was unable to proceed.

Peter Weiss: Worked great. Whole process was less than 10 mins. (And I live nearby so I saved all the travel time to Half Street as well.) Thanks to John Tichy's post in this thread, I found out before going to the kiosk where the OBD connector is in my vehicle. That made the rest easy.

Judith Lisansky: Unfortunately this doesn’t work as advertised. My car passed the inspection but the sticker for the car never came in the mail within 10 days as it was supposed to. When I asked 311 for help, after 10 more days they wrote and said I had to drive to the other inspection station to get my sticker!!! When I protested, 311 responded sorry, that is the final word from the DMV. WHY DIDNT THEY MAIL THE STICKER? WHY DO I HAVE TO MAKE 2 TRIPS TO FINISH MY INSPECTION? NOT EFFICIENT AT All.

John Tichy: Works great! Very convenient to come on my schedule, not the DMV schedule. The whole process took about five minutes from start to finish. I had previously found the OBD connector on my car so that I didn’t have to fiddle around trying to find it. Note that my car met the requirements: (a) 2005 or later model year, (b) previously inspected at Half St.

Beth Diaz: Have no idea why, but drove over there and repeatedly typed in my VIN number and the kiosk kept on coming up with “vehicle not found.” So I’m off to SW

Rachel B: Drove all the way to this for nothing. Kiosk doesn’t work and doesn’t allow you to take the scanner out. When entering my vehicle VIN manually, it then states it can’t find my car and I need to go to a location during normal business hours to have my car inspected. Thought this would be easier but instead it just wasted more of my time.

Tim Green: This place is beyond trifling, they tell you to make an appointment for the transportation you need done. Or go online and try and do it, I needed to change my address and renew my registration. It expired, I had prostate surgery during that time so I couldn't do it before it expired. I tried to do it online, it took my information then when it was time to pay I put my credit card information in. It didn't take my information the transaction did not go through. I called 3/9/2021 was on the phone for an hour and thirty minutes waiting to get through finally got through, I told the representative what I was trying to do. I also told her, I had tried online and the transaction didn't go through. I ask for a appointment, she told me if it is something you can do online they will cancel the appointment. What's the purpose of telling people to make a appointment if you are going to cancel it especially if you are having problems doing it online this is trifling don't want to do your job!!!

Porsha Hartwell: I gave one star because it was the least amount of stars. I had a horrible experience with trying to have a document notarized. I needed a document for a 401k withdrawal notarized. My husband had signed but I needed to sign also. When I presented the document to the owner, he had me sign then he looked over the document and said I needed my husband to be there with me in order for him to notarized the document. He was not only totally uneducated of what a notary does but he had me sign the document so I had to reprint another document before I could have another notary sign it. He did not want to listen to the fact that all he was responsible for was verifying that I was who I was when I signed not if my husband consents for me to sign. I will never support this organization. Thankfully when speaking with the insurance company they agreed that he did not know what he was doing and to go somewhere else. I went where I always go: UPS Swan Creek. They are better educated.

W Jones: Dude! I went to this establishment because I needed a registration renewal. I though "yeah, convenient, fast, and maybe I can buy a CD." The gentleman seems real helpful, explains who I need to contact, and give him a call to verify there is no flag on my registration renewal. Well, I call the next day and the same guy tells me he can't verify the information and hangs up on me! Im not feeling that and I call right back. He proceeded to tell me he can't verify over the phone and he has customers...like I am not a customer! I admit I was rude right on back. Anyway, the information he told me was completely incorrect. The shop in the front is cool if you want some Go go CDs but other than that don't bother.

Joe Martinez-Williams: This impromptu visit definitely beat waiting for a July 29th scheduled MVA appointment. The customer service rep (Latina lady) was friendly and answered all of my questions. The entire process from walking up to finishing my titling and registration took about 45 minutes. They even had safeguards in place to ensure safety of its patrons and selves.

2500HPGarage: I would not normally give bad reviews untill I'm irritated. The first few times I went there systems were down. No big deal I'm working from home I'll come back. Finally get a chance to go back customer service was fine and you accept your paying a little more for convenience. What I will tell everyone if you value your privacy do not go to this location. I bought my car from a friend so the only business that knows I own this car is this tag and title business. Since going to this location I get inundated with junk mail and telemarketers. I get a phone call atleast every day and junk mail couple time a week about my a car warranty service. Obviously I dont have one or want one since I didnt call anyone about one. So you know service is fine but they are selling your information.

Acosta: Extremely unprofessional. They read over a checklist and don't explain anything to you. They expect you to know. Once you fail, then they explain it to you. Extremely passive aggressive. I don't understand, if you don't like your job, don't take it out on others. Extremely rude and cold. Told me I didn't know what I was doing. AVOID the the the girl with glasses and boy hair cut.

Shirley Jones: Anything to do with the DC DMV is always a terrible experience. They are forever finding small problems that just good common since can fix but, instead they like to inconvenience you unnecessarily.

Sinead Doyle: I took my drivers test here i'm 17 and it was a horrible experience. The lady was extremely rude and unforgiving. I am a good driver and came prepared however was met with utter rudeness. If you can avoid do NOT take your road test here. Not only was she unprofessional, she was passive aggressive and unnecessarily agitated.

William Walker: There are never appointment times available on their website even three months in advance, so I've done walk ins every time I've come in. I came here to change an out of state drivers license. The first time I went with someone who needed to take her driver's test, after waiting in line for hours, they told us there would be no more exams for the day as soon as we got in the door. The second time I came, because I had no documents showing my whole SSN (their website said the DMV would look it up) they didn't let me change my license. The third time I came, they told me their IT system was down so they couldn't help me. Currently here for the fourth time, and waiting hours again to get served. The amount of documentation they require is ridiculous, and they clearly don't have the capacity to properly review it.

Jules: I recommend this location. I am taken aback by the negative responses. I have been at this location three times already for various issues. It was the most efficient, superbly administered DMV I have ever been at. I arrived before my appointment, was given a number and was helped and left before my online appointment time. I like that you are guided by someone to whom you explain your need, given a number and then puff, helped. Staff is kind and patient and professional. If you want efficiency, and speed, this is your DMV.

Bibi Hajira Haidary: Staff here is good, but the manager is someone who is not listening to costumers. A manager has to be someone who have the patience to listen and respect customers, but this current manger is very disrespectful, speaking very loud almost shouting on the costumer. The worst management I have ever seen in my life!

Mohammad “Mo” Mumtaz: I dread going to the DMV, but this was actually a painless experience. Staff was super helpful and I was able to get my new to VA license and registration stuff taken care of within 45 minutes! I definitely recommend making an appointment though!

sami alkhaldi: I went there with my wife for her road test ,to help my wife and translate some of the words for her because her English is not that good. Here Road test examiner was Ms Edwards she was angry from the beginning form the way she called (yelling)my wife name, and from the minute she saw me with my wife she asked me to go back to my seat..!!not letting me explain to my wife what she wants her to do….??? she took my wife to the road test and was yelling at her not explaining to her what she wants her to do ,she mad my wife uncomfortable and un secure,… when they came back i when to ask Ms Edwards about the road test she yelled at me your wife was going to kill me …you wife was going to kill me on the road!!!and she started yelling at her you did this,you didn’t do this..!!!!??? She .was unprofessional,inpatient,discourteous,disrespectful,, impertinent,impolite,inconsiderate,rude,thoughtless she has the worst manners that you can find in an employees….!!! I don’t blame Ms Edwards i blame her supervisor and her superiors ,I blame the DMV system that allows such people in to that position ,in a public service place like DMV….shame on you…shame on you.😔

Charlotte Thompson: I just moved to VA and came to this dmv to change my out of state license. I got there about 10-15 minutes before opening and there was a long line. The line moved relatively quickly but I was just happy once I was out of the cold. All in all it took me a little over an hour to be seen and finished but thats pretty standard. I feel like most of the people who wrote bad reviews are frustrated with DMV's as a whole, not this specific one. All the crew I interacted with was nice, helpful, and in good spirts. I even had a nice conversation with the security guard as I was waiting. Summary: Things often take a while because... its a DMV... but of all my dmv encounters across the country, this was a top experience.

Matthew Easley: It’s not a bad experience, for a DMV. Wait times are usually reasonable and I’ve had positive interactions with staff each time I go. Some angry folks (not staff) in there, though. Good luck!

Armando Ortiz: This is the most inefficient DMV office ever. Waited 1.25 for a road test and there are several employees just wasting time. This was not even a high demand day. Very few people around compared to the amount of employees doing nothing. What's the point of scheduling an appointment if they're going to waste your whole morning anyway.

Armand Aguila: On 2/7/22 at past 12 noon, I took a friend for his actual driving exam that he waited for months. While a lady examiner was talking to the examinee, she was not accommodating and cancelled my friend’s driving exam immediately. She complained that the examinee can’t understand her instructions. But talking to her it’s hard to understand the way she speaks.It was a rude treatment!

Mark Roepke: Fairly quick getting to a window, but typical slow convoluted situation once at the window. Better than 5 years ago, but plenty room for improvement.

Suzannah Stivison: I needed a temporary registration for a car that my parents gave me. The information I gathered from the MVA website made it seem like it wouldn't be very straight forward because the title was from Virginia and I didn't pay anything for it. Adrienne had me out the door with plates and temporary registration in 30 minutes. She told me other things I needed to do online because it would be less expensive. Then I got to be productive for the rest of my day off!! The service fees are comparable to other businesses but avoiding the MVA, for me, was priceless.

Jourdana Claibourn: Contacted this titling service the previous day with an issue. I was told what to bring in and that they could assist. The next day I come in on my lunch break, I see a gentleman being assisted and his transaction seemed fine, I was on another call during my short wait. Everything seemed to be fine.... Until out of nowhere a wild $75 fee was added to the total. Now, yes this is a private business (as I was told several times by the older woman who assisted me in her attempt to CYA as this was the same person I'd dealt with on the phone), but somewhere their fees should be stated, or mentioned etc. As a result I'm now having to venture to an MVA which means more time taken from work. In all of this did I at the very least receive an apology? No. I received a smug faced chuckle about how "this is a private company" as though that negates the fact that I wasted time here for something that could have been told to me over the phone. This is the reason for the 1 star rating. Sad, as it was 4/5 stars prior to the employees lack of knowledge/care.

We are a private office, licensed by the MVA to process vehicle registration transactions. The location that you visited is an office that has to pay rent to be open this office has an owner, and is not MVA or the state of MD it is a private company. This private company operates just like your place of work in the sense that they pay rent, employees, business insurance, office supplies, taxes and many more expenses, like google ads where you probably found our business. The office fee is to keep the lights running and offered a fast and convenient atmosphere for customer who do not want to go to a MVA office, where the information line could have a wait time of hours. If time is valuable our office offers the best way to make your time valuable.

M: Came to obtain tags and title for a vehicle that is designated as a rebuilt salvage. They would not attempt because of it's designation, told me I have to go to the MVA. Maybe they thought it meant salvaged vehicle, which it is not. Also didn't help that the lady wasn't proficient in speaking English. So they refuse to attempt to punch in a few numbers to see if it would pass. While walking back to my vehicle there was another tag and title service business at the corner of fenton and silver spring ave. Thought I would give it a shot, the gentleman told me that he'll try but there is no guarantee since the MVA system is finicky about vehicles with rebuilt salvage title. He input the information and luckily it accepted my car title. Transaction took 15 minutes. So got what I needed, I am happy but no thanks to Alfonso Quinonez title services.
Response: Sorry for your recent experience with our office. However, titling rebuilt vehicles in Maryland legally can only be done at MVA. If the other tag and title did it then they have just performed a tag and title prohibited transaction and you may have problems as well as the tag and title for processing a "cannot do" for title agents. B/c the MVA is the one that assigns branding to a vehicle legally.

Spirit 91: Went here to get tags, registration and title for used vehicle I purchased. 1st of all it was super hot, 2nd the guy there was not friendly in the slightest, 3rd he had the nerve to question about how much I purchased my 2011 vehicle. Even though I explained that I got the vehicle from job through a wholesale program where I get a discount on, he still didnt understand so I took my business elsewhere. As long as I have all the information which I did (affidavit, bill of sale, and state inspection) what difference does it make. Went to the place 5 minutes away and the people there were wayyy friendlier. Dont waste your time

Gregory Bern: Kiosk wouldn't work to renew tags. Razzi at reception helped but couldn't make it work either. Tried 2 then sent us to a service desk and the gentleman there took care of renewal for both vehicles. Short wait. No line. Best MVA experience ever. Not crowded. Great service.

Elias Desta: I brought my daughter for a road test. As a parent we all would like to see our child do good and be tested for competency but what my daughter and I experienced was beyond any pale comparison. From the get going the testing officer has already the end in mind, technically to find fault if not to fabricate one. In order to do that, he has to isolate me as a parent. Mind you all other “Hispanic” parents were allowed to observe their minors from the side line! He instructed me to wait in front of the building from a good line of sight. Made several references to my daughter, like she being fortunate to have a better car. My daughter passed all the difficult sections and finally the testing officer came up with a bogus excuse that her front tire was six inches above the line in front of the stop sign. Then he came where I was and told me that my daughter did not stop on the white line before the stop sign which my daughter has completely different account. In fact he told her to make a right turn and when she was about, he stopped her and called me to show the front of the tire was into the stop sign before she exited. I know we all come from different back ground but prejudice has no place in government service. I heard White oak location is notorious for favoring people, I did not expect it could happen to us. Well, that is the way it is even in MD DMV.

I had a very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional person who helped me obtain what was needed. At 10:46 I was drini g out of the parking lot. Thank you MVA. It all ran like a well oiled machine. Keep up the good work. Don't go back to old ways. Good job.

nelson gha: Appointments are good because it helps to control congestion inside the MVA. But when you arrive at the MVA early and the place is empty you should be checked-in. The receptionist was mean even after I explained to him I had a situation and I needed to be in school early, he still asked me to go and come back at the exact time my appointment is scheduled for. Today every industry is adopting an agile approach to doing things and I think the MVA should adopt a similar approach.

Fernanda Anaya: I think a requirement to go is to be highly disrespected. the staff is lousy. I have always carried my papers in order, I offer a friendly attitude and they always treat me badly, the lady threw my papers at me, she hit her hands on the counter and yelled at me, always a terrible experience. it is not our fault that your work is very heavy 🙂 also in the end when you rate your experience, I gave a low rating, to which the lady snatched the screen out of my hands and began to give herself a pure good rating, ridiculous.

Orma Moorman: It was great. I like the changes in the office and it is so much clearer but the wait time is still long and that is due to us the customer. They are many people needing help either for driving licenses, title, or driving licenses.

They don't like military people and aisle number 19 kept asking us for documentation and when we provided it, they found whatever they could wrong with it even though it specifically stated what they asked for. They told us to "just pay the 1800$" terrible service from the teller AND the manager.

Andre Willcox: This is the worst MVA in Moco. I've been here over 6 times due to convenience over a 2 week span every time I go a supervisor needs to get involved then have to call headquarters in Glen Burnie only to get inaccurate info. For instance I was told that I cannot put a tanker endorsement on my class b CDL. No one there can seem to get in the same page I just wish for better more coordinated rules and not made up as we go regulations
