Jason W: Excellent service! The students are very thorough and the attending professors are highly knowledgeable. Everyone was polite and helpful. These are my preferred dentists in the region. Note: everything takes a little longer because there is extra paperwork and the student evaluation is double checked by the professor. But it is worth the time because you get excellent care!!
tanya olivares-fields: I am not from here and had no Ins. The HU students and Dentist where above and beyond wonderful! What I thought was going to be the worst feeling of having to get 2 teeth extracted one was a Crown that my tooth had cracked underneath and was decaying the other was broken off in a wreck, was not only professional but so kind and helpful from start to my follow-up appointment. Thanks to Dr. Cheeks great leadership the two students were amazing!(I forgot their names) The Girl was on point with her shots! I totally recommend HU Dental !!
Donna Hines: The HU school of pediatric dentistry is Awesome. My seven year old daughter gets services there regularly with Dr. Marshal and Dr. Israel. I've never had an unpleasant experience with the staff, dental assistants or dentist. They are caring gentle physicians and my baby looks forward to seeing them bi-monthly. I can't say the same for the adult dental department, I've made several attempts to schedule an appointment but nobody returned my calls EVER!
Ira Lovelace: I went all the way to Howard University Hospital like I was told at 1:30pm. Get there for them to tell me that they cant take my insurance. I am for my surgery ... Yall ready know that last night and should have said something then. I could have called around this morning ..... Those precks dont have to worry about me ever again. This dont make no damn since. Ghetto Hospital 4 real.
tammybooks: sucks! they gave me multiple x-rays. focused on things that could be done to my teeth, but NEVER CURED the PAIN, OR REMOVED THE TOOTH. 5 DAYS LATER, I WAS CALLED AND TOLD NO SURGERY CHAIR WAS AVAILABLE! Never called back to schedule and remove tooth.

Vassi Kotsis-Horn: The ADEA goDental failed to submit my application. Due to their oversight, I have to reapply for Fall 2018. The ADEA erred with the mishandling of my application & failing to properly notify me of the mistake. I found out my applications were not received when I called the prospective schools to check on my application status. I wish a negative star rating was possible.
Tanner Godfrey: ADEA is a great organization that supports dental education across the U.S. They have great staff that were very welcoming to me as I met with them and toured their headquarters.
Ryan Bodanyi: Pleasant work space; looks of light and windows. The worst thing was this door everyone used which separated the exits and restrooms from our workspaces. Instead of being glass, it was heavy metal - which meant it was often opened suddenly into the face of someone coming the other way. Lots of close calls.

Jamillah Matthews: Hello, I just want to say Hands On Dental Assistant Training has been a marvelous experience for me. The instructor Ms. Fatima was very supportive threw my entire journey she made me feel like I was not alone and went out her way to make sure that I successfully succeeded. Also, Ms. Tanya was a very great teacher and very consistent. I highly recommend everyone who has any interest of being in this field to sign up as soon as possible. Elena Cooper: It’s a great school that will provide you with knowledge and technique that will enable you to work directly with dentists in a examination and treatment rooms. Ms. Tanya and Ms. Carolina are very professional, well-organized, and knowledgeable instructors. I am ready to apply all the skills I learned from these amazing teachers in my life and pursue my career in dentistry. Cassandra Miller: Jess is the absolute best instructor. I felt prepared for the RHS exam but also in taking x rays in person because of her. I thought it would be really hard because my class was entirely online, but she made sure that we got the material and more importantly understood it! She is with you the entire process even after the class was over she kept in touch and gave us instructions and even took time out of her day to help me study. Highly recommend, 10/10.
daii smothers: I attended the program located in DC. It’s been a very fulfilling 8 weeks. The program instructor, Ms.Aretha was more than helpful and understanding. She provided constant encouragement throughout the entire process, gave us great pointers & tips, and always made sure we fully understood the material before exams. The practice’s dentist, Dr.Whitaker, made the hands on learning experience more interesting and fun than I expected it to be. I’d definitely recommend HandsOn DAT if you’re seeking a small teacher to student ratio. This experience gave me the confidence I needed to get started in the dental field!
Indira Rai: I took the Ortho course with instructor Ms Tanya she was very patient in explaining class information. I highly recommend her. Unfortunately I had a issue with my DANB application . I was impressed with how Ms Fatima contacted DANB and communicate with me until my problem was solve. Hands On DAT truly cares about their students and supports their student. I feel confident in knowing I have a dental home to help me make the right decisions in my dental career.

amanda leguizamon: Highly recommend this program!!! They are beyond flexible for single parents and go above and beyond for their students. If you are considering a career change this is where you need to go. Ms.Fatima is quick to respond and answers all questions thoroughly. In my opinion there is no better option. Very pleased with my experience to say the least.
Anonymous: Jessica is a great instructor! Even after my RHS class was over she was still there to help me study and gave me great tips that I needed to remember in order to pass my exam! Everything is online and she is really flexible with the class work as long as you finish before the class is over. This is great for people that have kids, those who already work full time! Update to 2022 I took the EPDA course. The instructor( not Jessica) that taught me catered the course mostly to what I needed to know in the office that I worked in. I would have preferred the course to be more so catered to what the actual board exam is about. For example I work in a general office, but I’ve never worked in a endo office. So my knowledge is limited. The board exam have questions about endo I had no idea about and it we never went over it in my course. She was passionate about teaching but it would be vital to mostly focus on what will be on the board exam. And that’s just 1 example.
Jamie Kight: Mrs. Jessica is a great instructor! She is very flexible, and one of the most dedicated teachers that I’ve ever had. She was more than willing to help me schedule my exam, answered all of my questions, and made time from her own very busy schedule to help me review and feel confident. She assigns work that she knows will help you succeed, rather than work that will just keep you busy. I would recommend her to anyone of any age, pursuing any dental career!

Cassaundra Young: Washington Center for Dentistry is such a fantastic organization! Everyone is courteous, professional and accommodating. Dr. Fordjour is easily the best dentist I’ve had! I came in on several occasions and not only is his work exceptional, he was patient with answering my many questions and put me at ease! It’s not every day you actually enjoy going to the dentist but if you must go, I highly recommend this practice!
Barry Moyer: The Washington Center for Dentistry is a very impressive group indeed; It all begins with a beautiful, large, and comfortable open sign-in and waiting area with an eye-popping view of K street from the 8th floor. The doctors and staff are dedicated, focused, and personable, and the goal is clearly the very best dental care. This, for me, came in the skills and very pleasant demeanor of Dr. Elana Shlansky whose insistence on perfection soon revealed itself as a kind of signature. All very agreeable! The whole Washington Center for Dentistry package is extraordinary! Take your mouth there! you won't regret it.

Marie-Flore JOHNSON: I cannot recommend this dental office enough. It is wonderful! Excellent dentists. Caring and experienced staff. Very gentle. They care about your teeth and are honest. No trying to rip you off. They also do everything to make sure you do not feel pain. One of the staff, Trina, worked way after hours one time when I needed some dental business paperwork. She could have waited to provide it to me later on, but wanted to make sure that I had it. They are all like Trina. Very professional, oriented towards service and excellence.
Maura O'Sullivan: Close to five years ago I had a really bad toothache for few days. I went to few dentists and no one could tell me what was wrong. Finally I called WCD and made an appointment and to find out it was a root canal. Dr. Katsaros took care of it. I was so relieved and happy. Everyone at WCD are professional and helpful. I especially love Rachel who is my new hygienist. She is outstanding. She gives me a thorough cleaning. Very gentle. Answers all my questions. The absolute best!!!
Wanda Wheeler: I have been going to WCD for a few years now and I always receive exceptional service and care. Dr. Fordjour is an excellent dentist and all of the hygienists and front desk staff are consistently professional and proactive. In particular, Katrina (front desk) went above and beyond to handle an insurance billing concern I had a few months back. While I wish that my insurance could be billed directly, WCD is prompt with sending out invoices so that insurance reimbursement is quick and painless.

Lea: I have been a patient of Dr. Polowitz and Dr. Brown's office on and off for three decades along with my mother and brother. Their office was recommended to me by my next door neighbor and when I saw their business card and it said, "We cater to cowards" that's all I needed to read and I made my first appointment. All their personnel are exemplary and everyone in that office including the doctors go out of their way to accommodate you in any way they can. And of course the quality of work that Dr. Polowitz and Dr. Brown do is always state-of-the-art and done with perfectionism as evidenced by the Washingtonian article about them. I just pray that they do not retire before I die!

SarahBW: Dr. Brown and Dr. Pollowitz share a lovely office that is conveniently located in Northwest Washington. Both are exceptional dentists. Each member of their staff is always professional, friendly, and super helpful. They always submit the invoices to my insurance company, so I don’t have to. Ashley has been wonderful (and gentle), working on bringing my mouth back to good health, after I let things slide a little bit. I highly recommend this practice, if you’re new to town or just looking for a change.

Rohan Dalvi: I have been going to Dr. Arroyo for over 7 years now and I am very happy with my decisions. The staff is professional, the office is clean, and my dental care is absolutely top-notch. I have recommended this practice to multiple friends and plan to remain a loyal customer for many years to come.
Brent Troy David: It is not often you can have a great experience at a dentist office, but I am here to tell you if it’s going to happen, it will happen at District Dental Solutions. Drs. Arroyo & Arroyo (along with their amazing staff), are exceptionally caring and compassionate! They are non-judgmental and have definitely gone out their way to help me with my extensive dental issues, most especially caused by months of chemotherapy to overcome Stage 4 Lymphoma, which almost killed me. After years of not being able to afford proper care, they are doing everything possible for me to address my dental woes. I am truly grateful for their amazing service, compassion, professionalism, and integrity.

Yelena Skalinskaya: Dr. Jeremy - what an amazing dentist … I transferred here from another practice and have been very happy with my choice! I came in with butchered veneers which Dr. Jeremy fixed up as much as he could, but they were still meh… I kept nagging and nagging about new veneers, but Dr. Jeremy wouldn’t budge - we had to move my teeth first or it wouldn’t look the way I wanted, which we did (thanks Invisalign). I did have major PTSD from my first experience with veneers, but the temp veneers looked so great - I was willing to do whatever. I didn’t stop torturing Dr. Jeremy though, one of the veneers didn’t fit quite right and we had to redo it - but that was quick and easy (for me at least 😅). Also, full disclosure, I take naps at my cleaning sessions - so relaxing! The hygienist literally has to hook my cheek and move my head as I doze off 😂 There’s a parking garage right next to the building - get in before 8:30am and you get a discounted rate 🙌 Finally, they’re in the process of designing a whole new office - I’m sure the space will be hot - can’t wait to see it!

He makes sure to answer all questions and has a wonderful manner with his patients. I would recommend everyone to come to District Dental Solutions.
Jamison Moore: Great practice, lovely people, and easy to work with. No run around with billing, no surprises, and everyone is smart and nice. I have no dental drama, but my wife, who absolutely hates all things dental loves this practice. There is a parking lot under the office, was $17 for over an hour, so pretty normal for the neighborhood.

terry ilagan: I was so happy when I find out that Dr. G has opened up his new practice a few blocks from my office. My appointments are always quick and painless. I've had some of my best naps while getting a filling. Dr. G is very patient and takes time to answer any questions I may have on the treatment plan. His recommendations are always spot on and solves my issues right away. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Stephanie does an amazing job with the billing and is knowledgeable about insurance billing/policies. The team is always very well prepared when I visit. Either that or they all have amazing memories...they all seem to know all the treatments I've had and when they were done. They always find the time to schedule an appointment for me when I urgent issues. I always feel very comfortable when visiting the office. I highly recommend District Dental!
John Wilcox: Dr. Gialanella and the rest of the District Dental Center staff are great. They take care to explain patients' care needs and the treatment options. The practice uses all the latest tech for imaging, diagnosis and treatment. They are conscientious about covid safety protocols. Plus, they are all great people. For the first time in my life, I don't dread going to the dentist.

Jency Daniel: My experience at District Dental was outstanding from start to finish. I chose them because Dr Schobel is covered by my insurance and had great reviews on US News and Google. Bianca who works at the front desk is so cheerful, sweet, patient, and helpful! Vanessa who started with my x-rays was also super kind and sweet, working with me and distracting me when I had trouble with the x-rays. Finally, Dr Schobel was gentle, kind, and so courteous. He took the time to show and explain x-rays and pictures, answer my questions, and even start some of the cleaning process because he unexpectedly had some extra time open in his schedule. My far the best experience I've ever had with a dentist!

I got new insurance and was going to switch dentists and after calling a few places decided no other dentist was even as close to as good as district dental. Incredibly kind staff, very clean, when my retainers broke they made new ones at no cost, I get anxious at the dentist and they talk me through and show photos of everything they are doing. Nicholas Gao: Dr. Davis took me on as a patient last year, and it has been a fantastic experience. He is patient to explain things to me and very professional. So far, I have had all four of my wisdom teeth removed and filled 4 cavities from him -- all done at an excellent level. I can tell that he takes his work seriously and that his work ethic is something to applaud. Diana is also great and always welcomes me with a smile. Could not recommend more.
Carla Balleste: Dr. Davis along with the staff were extremely professional, beyond kind and very respectful. They always make sure their patients needs are put first. I felt a great sense of safety and comfort when Dr. Davis extracted my four wisdom teeth. The procedure went smoothly and I never once felt nervous. Kat Koser: I highly recommend Georgetown Advanced Dentistry! If you need a dentist, then go here for a competent, transparent, and excellent dental team. I started this year in great tooth pain. They helped me immediately (even during a snowstorm!), figured out the problem and came up with solutions. Dr. Davis performed a very tricky wisdom tooth extraction, and it was so easy for me as a patient (resolved well and quick with little pain, answering all my questions). I now go regularly. Diana is a great hygienist and my teeth have maybe never been this clean since ever. Dr. Davis takes his work seriously and everything will look/fit perfect at the end and feel good. His skill is frankly impressive : I've never seen such realistic work. Attention to detail is excellent, and believe me I am detailed. Before my procedures, especially the wisdom tooth, I talked through everything in detail with Dr. Davis, who answered all my questions practically and honestly. He knows his subject so well and is so analytical, it really helped me when understanding risks and treatment options. I was also nervous to go during COVID (only pain brought me), but they take extra care to decrease COVID risks as well. My temperature and oxygen are checked on arrival, there is a convenient pre visit covid questionnaire online, and there is a special rinse to help stop spread of anything. It is a reasoned, targeted and pragmatic approach. Moreover, he and Diana both are very good at limiting discomfort. They really care and prioritize pain management. I am amazed that they accomplish so much more work with a fraction of the discomfort I was used to from other dental practices. I no longer worry to go to the dentist, because at GAD I know I will receive great care and excellent work. I highly recommend!

Lee Bee: Do not visit this dental office! The owner and dentist is unprofessional and does not care about their patients health and wellness. He does not require COVID positive staff to quarantine or test negative before returning work. He does not require deep cleaning or disinfecting regularly or after positive cases have been identified. I am concerned that this practice is still allowed to be in business and I will be filing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
Response: This is false. This patient is incorrect. Categorically so. Our office policy, STRICTLY ENFORCED, is to follow CDC guidelines with SEVERAL additions: 1) staff that tests positive for Covid-19 may not return until they present a NEGATIVE test result 2) any staff that is not feeling well must get a Covid-19 test that is NEGATIVE before returning to the office, 3) ALL staff AND patients are required to don masks at all times (obviously with exception of during treatment, patients cannot wear mask) 4) ALL clinical staff must don surgical gown, gloves, mask and eye wear at all times in clinical setting 5) hand washing BEFORE glove placement and AFTER glove removal, without exception 6) All patients and staff wash hands at wash station at entrance upon entry to office 7) EVERY patient is tested for temperature AND oxygen saturation upon arrival to office. 8) EVERY operatory is thoroughly wiped down with approved virucidal(Countertops/ cabinets/ walls/ chairs and equipment ) between each and every patient.

Mike Kaufman: Dr. Davis is excellent! I’ve neglected my teeth for years and went in with a tons of anxiety about the situation. He was professional and kind. He performed an extraction on a rear molar and got it out quickly. He was super attentive to any pain I was having during the procedure and was quick to numb it up. He even cracked a couple jokes during which made me laugh. Super grateful to have him for a dentist. He also gives you his cell phone and encourages you to call or text with updates. Henok D: The most terrible school I have ever been to. Both the main campus and the Community college are the same. A lot of slow, unprofessional, and rude staff who keep yelling at students when they are not even doing their jobs properly. I submitted a certain paper to the Financial Aid office and they told me they lost the paper after weeks that I had to pay about $1700 out of pocket. During the 2020 Pandemic, I tried to contact them as I was having difficulty to waive the Student Insurance that is provided through the school because I already had an insurance coverage; no one answered my call until it was due. And now Miss Gaskon told me that I have to pay about $1300 for the coverage I never needed. Mis Gascon was there in 2018/19 when I had the same issue; she helped me waive it then. I could not go to her office in 2020 be a of Covid restrictions. I tried to solve the issue communicating with them but nothing got better yet. I would not recommend anyone to go the UDC unless one needs a headache. I cannot deny that there are some great Professors such as Prof. Sonnie Abebaku. However, individuals are very helpful to us, it’s overall experience at the university that makes a difference in our academic lives. So far, my overall experience is just TERRIBLE!
Danielle Carroll: I went to school here for my AA and it was a breeze. Yes the admissions needs some work (never fixed it) but the education, the teachers and the school itself is fine. It's so affordable and you can always learn something new. I got a paid internship through UDC and even though with it's slight hiccups, this school is still great. I'm at the main campus now working on my Bachelors and I'm 16 classes shy of finishing. Don't pay the haters any mind.
Edgar E: Worst administration I have ever had to deal with. Not only do they never respond to email or phone calls, they can't even keep track of ELECTRONIC applications, that required my daughter to submit 3 times and be forced enrolled late into classes due to their incompetence. But they also can't even have the literacy to read the applications correctly to charge the correct rate to students. They went ahead to charge not only my daughter but several other students out-of-state resident rates when all their applications illustrated DC residents. Like how can you not even read what's on the applications! How many other students were charged nearly 3 times when they should have been charged as a DC residents scares me on the level of corruption and neglect this body demonstrates to it's it's attendees.0 Then to not even have the decency and competence to even respond to emails and calls to try to correct this is just completely absurd, no wonder UDC is a laughing stock of a school to attend they can't even serve as a place to get extra credits for actual schools. How neglectful can you be to students and applicants, like seriously!
Lucien Graves: I was interested in nursing but the department leads never answer even with me contacting them daily for the last 3 months. Not to mention the admissions department takes 2 weeks to email back and never answers a single call. Just go in person, it's faster but still highly unprofessional since they eat and have conversations with others in front of you. You can see why they never answer.
Yesly Turcios: GLEN DOMINA rudest person ever if you are working under a facility and a Student is inquiring on information/assistance you should be able to provide that at your upmost ability but unfortunately that was not the case here..
Danny Hirschfield: I graduated UDC-CC with an AA degree in Liberal Studies Fall Class of 2015 Alumnus. This college really helped me develop my learning skills as I am an older non-traditional student that started as a freshman with very little prior knowledge and discipline in academia. I have transitioned to the UDC flagship campus pursuing my BA degree in Political Science as a pre-law student. This university is the most affordable place to get a good quality education being the only public higher learning institution in Washington, D.C.
Jamilya Allen: Okay So I applied about 3weeks to a month ago and I’ve yet to receive any papers informing me if I was missing any documents or etc. I’ve called at least 5 times a day for about two weeks straight leaving voicemail after voicemail and no one has yet to return my call not only did I call multiple times I have also emailed them multiple and no response. It’s ridiculous what’s the point of having an admissions office if they not even going to pick up the phone, guide you in the process of being admitted or anything else like you guys get paid to do nothing it’s sad.
h T: This University has only good professors! But getting a Bachelor from the UDC will not get you a job!! Their jobs faire is just to get a website from the companies and brochures lol!
Jordan Stewart: The financial aid lady with gray hair and dreads is disrespectful af. Most of the staff here are disorganized and rude. I disenrolled 2 months ago. When I went to disenroll the lady was eating crab legs in front of me. Come to find out she never really disenrolled me, and I had to go back up there today. Smh. I really wanted this to work bc I’m a Dc Resident but I’m enrolling at PGCC.

Victoria Ouellette: Aesthetic & Family Dentistry on Wisconsin Ave is the most incredible dentist I’ve ever been to! Every staff member is friendly and helpful. From booking to insurance to the services themselves, I am extremely satisfied! I was able to get a desirable appointment time (4:45 pm) that works with my schedule. While there, I found out I needed 2 fillings. During the appointment, Amie checked with my insurance so when I checked out I would know the exact cost to pay when I returned. She also helped me find an appointment just 5 days later to get the fillings! Khina was an amazing hygienist in my cleaning and was very friendly. Lamika was incredible as the hygienist during my fillings. Both Khina and Lamika made me feel so welcomed and talked with me as a person, not just a patient. Dr. Obholz is without a doubt a phenomenal dentist. She talked through every step of both appointments. She helped explain every step that she took and even showed me the pictures of the teeth that required fillings. Dr. O also provided above necessary care in offering numbing gel when she knew it would be a painful area. She talked through what the process would be like at my initial appointment and the day of. She completed both fillings with no numbing and I was in and out of the office within 15 minutes. I felt very comfortable the entire time and I am extremely happy to have found such an incredible office right in my neighborhood. If you are considering booking here, I highly recommend!

Nadya Ally: This is only the second time I’ve come to Dr. Terry’s (once for a cleaning and once to get a retainer made) and both times have been wonderful. Today, Ila (sp?) was the name of the dental hygienist who prepped the retainer molds before Dr. Terry came in. She was very professional and friendly. Like many people, I get nervous about going to the dentist, but she made me feel very comfortable. She even took me to the alley to show me a mural while we were waiting for Dr. Terry because I told her I love murals. Mark T Brown: Yesterday I saw Dr Markowitz and his staff for ongoing work to replace a large bridge and multiple crowns. He and his staff once again provided superb, professional care. Everything was explained before and as we proceeded through the appointment, which went very smoothly. The visit was pain free and finished ahead of schedule. Everyone was pleasant and did their best to make the patient experience as positive as possible. Once again, I recommend Dr Markowitz and his staff without any reservations!

Jeffrey Martin: Brionna (sp?) is a great dental hygienist -- probably the best bedside manner I've ever seen. Even my mildly dentist-phobic wife was effusive about her. I fortunately didn't have to talk to Dr. Markowitz too much because my teeth were in good shape, but he seemed very nice and thorough in discussing plans for how to deal with eventual complications that a (longstanding, genetic) dental problem I have will cause.

James Sprada: Experienced staff immediately put me at ease by assuring me that the problem with my tooth was not uncommon and the discomfort I was feeling Could be dealt with . After X-rays we’re taken and a thorough examination was done by Dr. Desio , he made a recommendation that I consult an orthodontist for root canal therapy . Because of Dr. Desio’s request, I was scheduled to see the dentist he recommend within days. After my procedure I will return to Dr. Desio for a compete wellness course . I am over 80 years old and can assure anyone that Dr Desio and his staff are the most professional and caring dental group I have ever visited .
Randall Vance: These guys definitely deserve the 5-star rating. I recently completed my "implants journey" and received my permanent zirconia teeth. Dr. Desio and his team did a superb job every step of the way, and I am very happy with the results. Going forward, my only "regret" is I won't be seeing them so often!

Esser Family: Dr. Desio extracted a molar that we’ve been babying since 2005 at my request. He has been extremely responsive to my refusal to remove it earlier. It was loose now and removed it totally without pain. And my recovery has been great. Can’t recommend any dentist more highly in terms of the personal care, the expertise in doing it right, and advising about follow up concerns. None experienced, BTW

Kerry Benton: I have recently started going here and my experience has been phenomenal. Every staff member is beyond pleasant and absolutely accommodates every schedule request! I have never had to wait and am always brought back quickly. They answer every single question of mine and do a thorough job on my cleanings (Nicole is the sweetest!!) -- my teeth haven't felt this great in years! Laura Elkins: The office is great. I've been going there for 20 years. I walked in yesterday to have Dr Desio check a tooth and two hour later I walked out with a crown! I certainly didn't have to wait. And his staff is fab. Attentive and solicitous.
Emily Hitchner: Fantastic customer service. From the moment I walked in, the women at the front desk were so friendly and helpful in answering my questions. As I was waiting to be seen, another patient was checking out at the front desk and the woman behind the counter was asking about her family and her dog. They really know their patients! The hygienist was so nice and informative. She introduced herself to me and explained everything she would be doing with me (x-rays, gums check, cleaning, etc). I really appreciated her explaining everything she was doing as she was doing it. I have anxiety but it really helped to walk through everything with her expertise. Dr. Desio was very professional and discussed all my concerns with me. I appreciated that he was hesitant to push any sort of expensive changes like a night-guard or prescription toothpaste. The dentist and hygienist included me in the discussion when talking about how to handle certain dental situations which I appreciated! The hygienist even hugged me once the appointment was over. Everyone who works there really seems to enjoy being around each other and enjoy the job. Makes for a very positive environment.

Dan C: Super quick appointment for a cracked tooth from an old root canal that was never finished (thanks a lot, pandemic). However, the office is physically closed on Sundays. BUT the dentist will still answer your phone calls and give you the next available spot and some advice on what to do beforehand. Not many offices will do that on a Sunday unless you go to one of those shady 24/7 clinics. So...on to the actual experience... DR. MILLER SAVED MY TOOTH. He was super cool and the dental assistant (forgot his name) was just as cool. I was terrified that I was going to have to lose the tooth. Not only did they save it, but they built it up, put a temporary crown on it, worked for about 2 1/2 hours, and did it all without the need for anesthetics. Yeah it hurt a but when he pushed on the gums, but I can handle that with a little breathing work. This place is GORGEOUS! Probably the nicest looking medical office I've ever seen. What dentist office have you been to that has a grand piano in the hall? And Netflix for patients to watch while work is being done? Sunglasses to prevent water from spraying in your eyes? Amazing. The decor, the atmosphere, the staff, it presents such an amazing look that I've never seen at any of my other doctors. I'm super happy I found them. Well worth the 5* reviews they've gotten.

I was in pain, embarrassed and feared seeing another dentist. I knew I had to get it done though so I searched google and paid very close attention to reviews and Dr. Siranli was by far the best choice and her reviews proved true. Dr. Siranli and EVERYONE a part of her team are amazing!! Highly skilled, honest, professional, welcoming, courteous, compassionate, genuine bedside manners, and I could go on and on. The office is spectacular, state- of-the-art, and they have Netflix in the rooms! Because my situation was so bad she considered it an emergency and was able to fit me in that day and for the final visit and they stayed late. The work I needed required two visits and I had a trip coming up very soon. In between visits my temporaries were so nice my husband thought the work was finished! She made sure I had a beautiful smile before I left. I was also having a lot of sensitivity and pain and she stated I needed a root canal that they were able to do that day. I had two front teeth crowns, a bridge, and a root canal done on the same day. No matter who I go to this is pricey work but I am beyond thankful they worked with me and it was definitely worth it. Of course during the procedures there were some uncomfortable moments but they comforted me, made it as pain-free as possible, gave me blankets and even a shake when I was getting hungry. When it was all done I saw my smile and I wanted to cry with joy not pain! I cannot stop smiling and I am pain free!! Finding Dr. Siranli was a blessing, so thank you fellow reviewers!! Thank you all at Siranli for restoring my confidence and smile!!
Charles Hedman: Dr. Siranli is both a fabulous dentist and one of the most wonderful people you will ever meet. She rescued me from indescribably severe pain associated with mistakes from a previous dentist. She was relentless in helping me achieve the correct bite and pain free living. Although we are moving out of state, we will drive whatever distance necessary to glean her services. Better care you cannot find.

The staff here are all professional and kind. The head dentist took her time to examine my mouth. She explain each step of the process and the price. I don't like dentist, who does? M: I can’t recommend this office more! Absolutely love Dr. Sahrai and team. I’ve been having problems with cracked fillings due to severe bruxism. Dr. Sahrai walked me through solutions and explained Botox for this issue. I was hesitant with the procedure as I’m very uncomfortable with needles. However, she and her team were wonderful throughout the entire process. I appreciate their expertise, skill and compassion. With Dr. Sahrai and her team you have absolutely nothing to worry about. I fully recommend going here. You will not regret it.

Sarah Ellison: W Plus is my favorite dentist of all time. Dr Ku and his staff are very professional, helpful, thorough, and friendly. They really listen to their patients and are great communicators. Cleanings are excellent and comfortable. Office is beautiful and convenient. They even have a sweet hypoallergenic dog named Bali available for cuddles! We moved to the suburbs and still go with W Plus because we app them so much. Highly recommend!

Barbara Neri: I strongly recommend Dr Ku and his team! First time I walked in was to ask for information and see the environment. Michael has been so welcoming, friendly, professional and helpful, the environment very professional and clean, that I booked immediately appointments for my husband and myself. So glad I did! I have very sensitive teeth / gums, water and air during the regular hygiene bother me a lot. Dr Ku uses advanced technologies and for the first time in my life I didn't feel anything! My mouth was soo clean and teeth brighter without feeling any discomfort during the whole hygiene procedure. Not to mention the kindness of Dr Ku and his assistant. My husband was very happy too, he knew he had to do some major works and asked Dr Ku as a second opinion: explanations were crystal clear and definitely made sense (not so obvious with other dentists).

We've been going there for about ~3 years now and even though we've since moved further away, we still make the drive back because they are worth it! • Office is clean and sanitary • Very friendly office staff / hygienists • Very easy to communicate with (your choice of calls, emails, or texts) • Nice dental equipment • Very thorough / detail oriented • Dr. Ku has a hypoallergenic emotional support dog to help comfort patients. To be fair, I'm not sure if the dog is there all the time, so if this is important to you, you might want to double check! He's been there every time we've gone, but that could just be a coincidence!

Maya Drummond: Dr. JJ, Olga (the hygienist), and Pedro (the dental tech) were fantastic and all the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The paperwork was sent in advance, so I could complete it ahead of time. They verified my insurance in advance and explained my benefits. They told me how long my appointment would take and were on time. The location is also right at the Waterfront metro making it easy to travel to. They did a fantastic job cleaning thoroughly and flossing with minimal pain. They explained the results of the x-rays and images and addressed all of my concerns including cleaning and adjusting a mouthguard made by a different dentist at a different practice. I am so relieved to have found my new dentists after a few years of searching! Looking forward to coming back for my next cleaning!

Van Johnson: Went in for a cleaning of my teeth, my regular technician (Emiliana) was with an emergency, however, Justin was available to take care of me. He was very professional, caring, made me feel at ease, and he is related to Emiliana, what a blessing! Ask if I could get an adjustment on my lower denture, an Dr Jones was available to assist me with his expert skills. Overall experience in checking in and checking out was an A+++. Quiet 17 Dental Care: what do users think?
Sean Clowes: Best place in DC, and I don't mean best dentist. I mean best place. Does it make sense to compare a dental office to a museum or a monument? No, but Quiet 17 is better than The Smithsonian and the Washington Monument combined. I recommend taking your first dates here, they'll be very impressed. It's a good wedding venue, and I'd recommend it for bachelor parties as well. Seriously though, I'm moving away from DC and am considering coming here on vacation to get cleanings.
Patrick Bowman: 6/5 if I could have given it, absolutely great doctor and front desk staff. he is extremely kind and accommodating. He stayed open for a couple hours for me after hours since I had a flight delayed. My only regret is that I had to move away and cannot go there anymore.
Sarah Millan: I rarely write reviews, but Dr. Oh genuinely cares for his patients, and it is evident by his approach, demeanor and advice. I felt the need to rate his practice because someone as humble and caring as him merits recognition and appreciation. He definitely involves the patient in any decision-making logic so you are on the same page every step of the way. I have never had a better experience with a dentist than I did with him. He is patient, kind, non-judgemental, skilled and efficient--all the qualities you would hope a dentist to have, yet are hard to come by. Highly recommend!

He is very attentive to detail, he has superior communication skills (he explains each step), and always leads with humility and kindness. The office ambiance is super relaxing, the equipment is state of the art, and Zack is the coolest medical receptionist you could hope to meet. I assure you, this is your best bet!
Connor Hackert: Absolutely the best dentist I have ever had. I'd echo the reviews on here. Dr. Phil (Dr. Oh) is trustworthy, explains everything that he is doing, is easy to get along with, and makes you feel as comfortable as can be (relative to going to the dentist). He is super considerate, and will stop/ take many short breaks if you have sensitive teeth, a bad gag reflex, or just need a second. The equipment he uses is very nice--I especially appreciate the panoramic x-ray, as I hate using bite-wings. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new dentist.
Catherine Roth: Had a really great experience after dreading going to a new dentist after a couple of years since my last cleaning. The office is super clean, the staff really nice, and Dr. Oh really makes sure to let you know what he’s about to work on, and tries his hardest to make sure you are comfortable. He was very gentle and thorough in the cleaning. I highly recommend Quiet 17!

Delaney Cummings: I have had built in retainers for over a decade. Anyone who has had one knows it’s unbelievably painful when one breaks. I don’t have an orthodontist in DC and felt very lost when my retainer broke here. I called dozens of dental and orthodontic offices to try to find someone who could help me. Not only did Navy Yard Dental answer my phone calls and e-mails, but they also were able to get me in for an appointment the week of. Dr. Jones was kind and very professional. I was in and out in under an hour. The receptionist was also helpful, explained everything, etc. I would recommend their office to anyone!

McKenzie Clift: My husband and I had a really frustrating and disappointing experience with Navy Yard Dental. After a move and transition to a new dental office, the staff at Navy Yard Dental were unwilling/able to transfer a complete set of our dental x-ray records to our new provider. After an exhausting back-and-forth with Navy Yard Dental, their staff eventually relayed to us that they had lost some of our medical records and had no way of retrieving them. This resulted in us needing to pay for a new set of x-rays out-of-pocket at our new dental provider. We were really disappointed not only in having to incur an additional expense due to Navy Yard Dental’s poor record keeping, but also their lack of transparency and professionalism in helping us come to a solution.
Kaitlin Beach: I cannot say enough good things. The reviews are really that good for a reason. It was easy to book an appointment online. I was nervous after not going to the dentist in too long, but everyone was friendly, relaxed, and put me at ease. No wait time at all. Everything in the office was super up to date. Cleaning was totally painless. Dr. Jones was so relaxed and easy to talk to. My biggest concern was that a dentist would overcharge me or surprise me with a big bill. The opposite was true. They even took time to check my insurance and explained how much a procedure would cost without me asking. There was no pressure to get anything done and full transparency about the cost. I was so thrilled. I will recommend this practice to everyone I know!

City Dental DC: what do users think?
Matthew Kilboy: It’s a shame that I have to write a less than stellar review because I really like my dentist. I opted to do the Invisalign treatment after speaking with my dentist. The cost was steep but my insurance covered enough to make it worth while. I am quite happy with the treatment and outcomes. BUT The office manager has been an absolute nightmare to work with. Had to pay for the entirety of my treatment out of pocket because the manager could not seem to file the right paperwork with my insurance company. I was finally able to get everything to my insurance company and they authorized payment, which went to the dentist’s office. I am now fighting to get my money from the dentist’s office. The same money I had to fight to get from my insurance company.
Jaclyn O'Day: Dr. Tsaknis genuinely cares about his patients. He takes time to educate, explain basics, investigate and address the root cause of issues, and empower his patients to improve their overall dental and oral health. At the first visit to City Dental DC the staff took behind the teeth images with this cool little camera device and also X-rays. Dr. Tsaknis pulled up the images/X-rays on a large screen to ask questions, review my oral/dental health history, point things out to me, and spend time educating and sharing ways to improve my dental care regiment. On subsequent visits, he has continued to take time for patient education on things like reviewing the dos and don’t of proper flossing, electronic toothbrush use, and more. In short, Dr. John Tsaknis is by far the best and most thorough dentist I’ve ever seen and I highly recommended him. If you’re looking for a dentist in the DC area, don’t look any further and go see him for thorough, friendly, and customer-focused dental care. Bonus- if you’re driving to their office, there’s free parking behind the building.

Haven't been to a dentist in a few years so had a lot of things to handle: had a cavity, chipped tooth, filling repair and needed updated xrays and cleaning. Outstanding from start to finish. The admin team is helpful and communicative. The hygienists are friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. My Doctor was professional and her work was perfection. Their equipment is state of the art with 3D imaging and capability to build custom crowns on site, so no waiting for lab returns. Very impressed, happy with my dental work and highly recommend them. L C: This review was from many years ago but editing it now because it really was an upsetting experience, and years later I have had dentists comment on the fillings I received here. And I just saw now (years later) the dentist’s reply to my comment: You literally made fun of the woman on the television show playing over my head in the exam room, and body shamed her while poking around my mouth with instruments. Read the negative reviews for this dental practice that have responses from the dentist saying the patient/reviewers are lying about their experiences. I can’t think of a bigger red flag. — Absolute nightmare. Dr Tsaknis is gruff and has no bedside manner. I had to go back 5 times to get fillings adjusted because they rushed each one and wouldn't listen to me when I said it felt wrong. I told him I was experiencing a lot of anxiety about one of my teeth since it hurt and he did not take any care to talk me through it. Furthermore, Dr Tsaknis made fun of a woman’s weight on a tv show the whole time he was drilling my tooth. That's inappropriate and unkind.

Emma Kapoor: I recently moved and my last dentist told me I had some cavities developing but they didn't do anything about them. I came to City Dental expecting to have several and of course had to get a bunch of fillings. However, the hygenists and dentist were very professional and gave me all my options, as well as a new toothpaste to help prevent future cavities. The fillings went fine, though I had to go back to get one fixed since my bite wasn't quite right and was hurting my gum, but they fixed it all very quickly and with no problems.
Seyi Tuyo: I've been a patient of this practice since 2007 and love it! Everyone here is kind, knowledgeable, thorough, and caring. During my time with them, I have had major, moderate, and minor procedures in addition to routine checkups. A strong recommend - Dr. Tsaknis and his staff are 100% fantastic! She was very understanding about my concerns and conveyed them to the dentist. Dr. Tsaknis squeezed me into his very busy schedule and took the time to explain to me why I had discomfort. He did not make me feel like an imposition. My dentist is Dr. Styron. She explains things thoroughly before, during, and after the procedures. She does excellent work. I highly recommend her to anyone who is nervous in the dentist's chair.

Dr. Tsaknis is great, straightforward dentist, and the staff is always pleasant and on point--I have never had any serious complications with billing/insurance and I have always been seen on time. The location of the Mass Ave office is very convenient to my home and office, and I especially appreciate the ease of parking.

I arrived very disappointed, imagining that I would have to make 2 root canal, spend a fortune, but no, he managed to save my tooth! Jared Hughes: I'm not usually inclined to post negative reviews, but after seeing the comments on Yelp (please go read them) that exactly mirror my experience with Dr. Tsaknis, I feel obligated to caution others. I thought it was just bad luck the pain and expense I've experienced over the past two years as a result of three unnecessary fillings. As it turns out, lying to people to generate revenue from fillings and then performing them quickly and carelessly is standard operating procedure for him. I'd give anything to go back and seek out a second opinion and you'd be best served to avoid him.
