Jason W: Excellent service! The students are very thorough and the attending professors are highly knowledgeable. Everyone was polite and helpful. These are my preferred dentists in the region. Note: everything takes a little longer because there is extra paperwork and the student evaluation is double checked by the professor. But it is worth the time because you get excellent care!!
tanya olivares-fields: I am not from here and had no Ins. The HU students and Dentist where above and beyond wonderful! What I thought was going to be the worst feeling of having to get 2 teeth extracted one was a Crown that my tooth had cracked underneath and was decaying the other was broken off in a wreck, was not only professional but so kind and helpful from start to my follow-up appointment. Thanks to Dr. Cheeks great leadership the two students were amazing!(I forgot their names) The Girl was on point with her shots! I totally recommend HU Dental !!

Cassandra Miller: Jess is the absolute best instructor. I felt prepared for the RHS exam but also in taking x rays in person because of her. I thought it would be really hard because my class was entirely online, but she made sure that we got the material and more importantly understood it! She is with you the entire process even after the class was over she kept in touch and gave us instructions and even took time out of her day to help me study. Highly recommend, 10/10.
daii smothers: I attended the program located in DC. It’s been a very fulfilling 8 weeks. The program instructor, Ms.Aretha was more than helpful and understanding. She provided constant encouragement throughout the entire process, gave us great pointers & tips, and always made sure we fully understood the material before exams. The practice’s dentist, Dr.Whitaker, made the hands on learning experience more interesting and fun than I expected it to be. I’d definitely recommend HandsOn DAT if you’re seeking a small teacher to student ratio. This experience gave me the confidence I needed to get started in the dental field!

I was impressed with how Ms Fatima contacted DANB and communicate with me until my problem was solve. Hands On DAT truly cares about their students and supports their student. I feel confident in knowing I have a dental home to help me make the right decisions in my dental career.

amanda leguizamon: Highly recommend this program!!! They are beyond flexible for single parents and go above and beyond for their students. If you are considering a career change this is where you need to go. Ms.Fatima is quick to respond and answers all questions thoroughly. In my opinion there is no better option. Very pleased with my experience to say the least.
Anonymous: Jessica is a great instructor! Even after my RHS class was over she was still there to help me study and gave me great tips that I needed to remember in order to pass my exam! Everything is online and she is really flexible with the class work as long as you finish before the class is over. This is great for people that have kids, those who already work full time! Update to 2022 I took the EPDA course. The instructor( not Jessica) that taught me catered the course mostly to what I needed to know in the office that I worked in. I would have preferred the course to be more so catered to what the actual board exam is about. For example I work in a general office, but I’ve never worked in a endo office. So my knowledge is limited. The board exam have questions about endo I had no idea about and it we never went over it in my course. She was passionate about teaching but it would be vital to mostly focus on what will be on the board exam. And that’s just 1 example.
Jamie Kight: Mrs. Jessica is a great instructor! She is very flexible, and one of the most dedicated teachers that I’ve ever had. She was more than willing to help me schedule my exam, answered all of my questions, and made time from her own very busy schedule to help me review and feel confident. She assigns work that she knows will help you succeed, rather than work that will just keep you busy. I would recommend her to anyone of any age, pursuing any dental career!

Cassaundra Young: Washington Center for Dentistry is such a fantastic organization! Everyone is courteous, professional and accommodating. Dr. Fordjour is easily the best dentist I’ve had! I came in on several occasions and not only is his work exceptional, he was patient with answering my many questions and put me at ease! It’s not every day you actually enjoy going to the dentist but if you must go, I highly recommend this practice!

Marie-Flore JOHNSON: I cannot recommend this dental office enough. It is wonderful! Excellent dentists. Caring and experienced staff. Very gentle. They care about your teeth and are honest. No trying to rip you off. They also do everything to make sure you do not feel pain. One of the staff, Trina, worked way after hours one time when I needed some dental business paperwork. She could have waited to provide it to me later on, but wanted to make sure that I had it. They are all like Trina. Very professional, oriented towards service and excellence.
Maura O'Sullivan: Close to five years ago I had a really bad toothache for few days. I went to few dentists and no one could tell me what was wrong. Finally I called WCD and made an appointment and to find out it was a root canal. Dr. Katsaros took care of it. I was so relieved and happy. Everyone at WCD are professional and helpful. I especially love Rachel who is my new hygienist. She is outstanding. She gives me a thorough cleaning. Very gentle. Answers all my questions. The absolute best!!!
Wanda Wheeler: I have been going to WCD for a few years now and I always receive exceptional service and care. Dr. Fordjour is an excellent dentist and all of the hygienists and front desk staff are consistently professional and proactive. In particular, Katrina (front desk) went above and beyond to handle an insurance billing concern I had a few months back. While I wish that my insurance could be billed directly, WCD is prompt with sending out invoices so that insurance reimbursement is quick and painless.

He has also hired excellent dental assistants and the office is well run. After my last (particularly grueling) visit for a new crown, he texted me after hours to make sure I was doing ok. He has set the bar pretty high for me on what oral heath care should be.
SarahBW: Dr. Brown and Dr. Pollowitz share a lovely office that is conveniently located in Northwest Washington. Both are exceptional dentists. Each member of their staff is always professional, friendly, and super helpful. They always submit the invoices to my insurance company, so I don’t have to. Ashley has been wonderful (and gentle), working on bringing my mouth back to good health, after I let things slide a little bit. I highly recommend this practice, if you’re new to town or just looking for a change.

Brent Troy David: It is not often you can have a great experience at a dentist office, but I am here to tell you if it’s going to happen, it will happen at District Dental Solutions. Drs. Arroyo & Arroyo (along with their amazing staff), are exceptionally caring and compassionate! They are non-judgmental and have definitely gone out their way to help me with my extensive dental issues, most especially caused by months of chemotherapy to overcome Stage 4 Lymphoma, which almost killed me. After years of not being able to afford proper care, they are doing everything possible for me to address my dental woes. I am truly grateful for their amazing service, compassion, professionalism, and integrity.

Yelena Skalinskaya: Dr. Jeremy - what an amazing dentist … I transferred here from another practice and have been very happy with my choice! I came in with butchered veneers which Dr. Jeremy fixed up as much as he could, but they were still meh… I kept nagging and nagging about new veneers, but Dr. Jeremy wouldn’t budge - we had to move my teeth first or it wouldn’t look the way I wanted, which we did (thanks Invisalign). I did have major PTSD from my first experience with veneers, but the temp veneers looked so great - I was willing to do whatever. I didn’t stop torturing Dr. Jeremy though, one of the veneers didn’t fit quite right and we had to redo it - but that was quick and easy (for me at least 😅). Also, full disclosure, I take naps at my cleaning sessions - so relaxing! The hygienist literally has to hook my cheek and move my head as I doze off 😂 There’s a parking garage right next to the building - get in before 8:30am and you get a discounted rate 🙌 Finally, they’re in the process of designing a whole new office - I’m sure the space will be hot - can’t wait to see it!

Melissa Chenok: Hands down best dentist I’ve been to. I got new insurance and was going to switch dentists and after calling a few places decided no other dentist was even as close to as good as district dental. Incredibly kind staff, very clean, when my retainers broke they made new ones at no cost, I get anxious at the dentist and they talk me through and show photos of everything they are doing. I don’t write reviews but feel really strongly about district dental center!

Nicholas Gao: Dr. Davis took me on as a patient last year, and it has been a fantastic experience. He is patient to explain things to me and very professional. So far, I have had all four of my wisdom teeth removed and filled 4 cavities from him -- all done at an excellent level. I can tell that he takes his work seriously and that his work ethic is something to applaud. Diana is also great and always welcomes me with a smile. Could not recommend more.

He performed an extraction on a rear molar and got it out quickly. He was super attentive to any pain I was having during the procedure and was quick to numb it up. He even cracked a couple jokes during which made me laugh. Super grateful to have him for a dentist. He also gives you his cell phone and encourages you to call or text with updates. Actually you don’t even have to step foot in the building to feel the hospitality and professionalism, Ami took my info over the phone and was clear and concise with booking me an appointment same day! Let’s get into how amazing Dr. Bassily and Khina are. They were more than helpful, informative and did not make me feel uncomfortable in any way. I have ever been more excited to return, and grow on my oral health journey!
Victoria Ouellette: Aesthetic & Family Dentistry on Wisconsin Ave is the most incredible dentist I’ve ever been to! Every staff member is friendly and helpful. From booking to insurance to the services themselves, I am extremely satisfied! I was able to get a desirable appointment time (4:45 pm) that works with my schedule. While there, I found out I needed 2 fillings. During the appointment, Amie checked with my insurance so when I checked out I would know the exact cost to pay when I returned. She also helped me find an appointment just 5 days later to get the fillings! Khina was an amazing hygienist in my cleaning and was very friendly. Lamika was incredible as the hygienist during my fillings. Both Khina and Lamika made me feel so welcomed and talked with me as a person, not just a patient. Dr. Obholz is without a doubt a phenomenal dentist. She talked through every step of both appointments. She helped explain every step that she took and even showed me the pictures of the teeth that required fillings. Dr. O also provided above necessary care in offering numbing gel when she knew it would be a painful area. She talked through what the process would be like at my initial appointment and the day of. She completed both fillings with no numbing and I was in and out of the office within 15 minutes. I felt very comfortable the entire time and I am extremely happy to have found such an incredible office right in my neighborhood. If you are considering booking here, I highly recommend!

Nadya Ally: This is only the second time I’ve come to Dr. Terry’s (once for a cleaning and once to get a retainer made) and both times have been wonderful. Today, Ila (sp?) was the name of the dental hygienist who prepped the retainer molds before Dr. Terry came in. She was very professional and friendly. Like many people, I get nervous about going to the dentist, but she made me feel very comfortable. She even took me to the alley to show me a mural while we were waiting for Dr. Terry because I told her I love murals. Mark T Brown: Yesterday I saw Dr Markowitz and his staff for ongoing work to replace a large bridge and multiple crowns. He and his staff once again provided superb, professional care. Everything was explained before and as we proceeded through the appointment, which went very smoothly. The visit was pain free and finished ahead of schedule. James Sprada: Experienced staff immediately put me at ease by assuring me that the problem with my tooth was not uncommon and the discomfort I was feeling Could be dealt with . After X-rays we’re taken and a thorough examination was done by Dr. Desio , he made a recommendation that I consult an orthodontist for root canal therapy . Because of Dr. Desio’s request, I was scheduled to see the dentist he recommend within days. After my procedure I will return to Dr. Desio for a compete wellness course . I am over 80 years old and can assure anyone that Dr Desio and his staff are the most professional and caring dental group I have ever visited .

Esser Family: Dr. Desio extracted a molar that we’ve been babying since 2005 at my request. He has been extremely responsive to my refusal to remove it earlier. It was loose now and removed it totally without pain. And my recovery has been great. Emily Hitchner: Fantastic customer service. From the moment I walked in, the women at the front desk were so friendly and helpful in answering my questions. As I was waiting to be seen, another patient was checking out at the front desk and the woman behind the counter was asking about her family and her dog. They really know their patients! The hygienist was so nice and informative. She introduced herself to me and explained everything she would be doing with me (x-rays, gums check, cleaning, etc). I really appreciated her explaining everything she was doing as she was doing it. I have anxiety but it really helped to walk through everything with her expertise. Dr. Desio was very professional and discussed all my concerns with me. I appreciated that he was hesitant to push any sort of expensive changes like a night-guard or prescription toothpaste. The dentist and hygienist included me in the discussion when talking about how to handle certain dental situations which I appreciated! The hygienist even hugged me once the appointment was over. Everyone who works there really seems to enjoy being around each other and enjoy the job. Makes for a very positive environment.

I was in pain, embarrassed and feared seeing another dentist. I knew I had to get it done though so I searched google and paid very close attention to reviews and Dr. Siranli was by far the best choice and her reviews proved true. Dr. Siranli and EVERYONE a part of her team are amazing!! Highly skilled, honest, professional, welcoming, courteous, compassionate, genuine bedside manners, and I could go on and on. The office is spectacular, state- of-the-art, and they have Netflix in the rooms! Because my situation was so bad she considered it an emergency and was able to fit me in that day and for the final visit and they stayed late. The work I needed required two visits and I had a trip coming up very soon. In between visits my temporaries were so nice my husband thought the work was finished! She made sure I had a beautiful smile before I left. I was also having a lot of sensitivity and pain and she stated I needed a root canal that they were able to do that day. I had two front teeth crowns, a bridge, and a root canal done on the same day. No matter who I go to this is pricey work but I am beyond thankful they worked with me and it was definitely worth it. Of course during the procedures there were some uncomfortable moments but they comforted me, made it as pain-free as possible, gave me blankets and even a shake when I was getting hungry. When it was all done I saw my smile and I wanted to cry with joy not pain! I cannot stop smiling and I am pain free!! Finding Dr. Siranli was a blessing, so thank you fellow reviewers!! Thank you all at Siranli for restoring my confidence and smile!!

M: I can’t recommend this office more! Absolutely love Dr. Sahrai and team. I’ve been having problems with cracked fillings due to severe bruxism. Dr. Sahrai walked me through solutions and explained Botox for this issue. I was hesitant with the procedure as I’m very uncomfortable with needles. However, she and her team were wonderful throughout the entire process. I appreciate their expertise, skill and compassion. With Dr. Sahrai and her team you have absolutely nothing to worry about. I fully recommend going here. You will not regret it.

They did a fantastic job cleaning thoroughly and flossing with minimal pain. They explained the results of the x-rays and images and addressed all of my concerns including cleaning and adjusting a mouthguard made by a different dentist at a different practice. I am so relieved to have found my new dentists after a few years of searching! Looking forward to coming back for my next cleaning!

Patrick Bowman: 6/5 if I could have given it, absolutely great doctor and front desk staff. he is extremely kind and accommodating. He stayed open for a couple hours for me after hours since I had a flight delayed. My only regret is that I had to move away and cannot go there anymore.

Delaney Cummings: I have had built in retainers for over a decade. Anyone who has had one knows it’s unbelievably painful when one breaks. I don’t have an orthodontist in DC and felt very lost when my retainer broke here. I called dozens of dental and orthodontic offices to try to find someone who could help me. Not only did Navy Yard Dental answer my phone calls and e-mails, but they also were able to get me in for an appointment the week of. Dr. Jones was kind and very professional. I was in and out in under an hour. The receptionist was also helpful, explained everything, etc. I would recommend their office to anyone!

Jaclyn O'Day: Dr. Tsaknis genuinely cares about his patients. He takes time to educate, explain basics, investigate and address the root cause of issues, and empower his patients to improve their overall dental and oral health. At the first visit to City Dental DC the staff took behind the teeth images with this cool little camera device and also X-rays. Dr. Tsaknis pulled up the images/X-rays on a large screen to ask questions, review my oral/dental health history, point things out to me, and spend time educating and sharing ways to improve my dental care regiment. On subsequent visits, he has continued to take time for patient education on things like reviewing the dos and don’t of proper flossing, electronic toothbrush use, and more. In short, Dr. John Tsaknis is by far the best and most thorough dentist I’ve ever seen and I highly recommended him. If you’re looking for a dentist in the DC area, don’t look any further and go see him for thorough, friendly, and customer-focused dental care. Bonus- if you’re driving to their office, there’s free parking behind the building.

Dr. Tsaknis is great, straightforward dentist, and the staff is always pleasant and on point--I have never had any serious complications with billing/insurance and I have always been seen on time. The location of the Mass Ave office is very convenient to my home and office, and I especially appreciate the ease of parking.
