CVS: what do users think?

Tracey Lawhorne: First all they have is basics. If you need a compound you can forget it. Then they take lunches and close down in the middle of the day. So if you thought 1:30 pm you’d pick up your prescription -you not !!! Come back after 2. And one lady back there was going to help but the pharmacist said no.. we on break!! Never again !!!

Shelley Castle: The phone system for the pharmacy is awful with far extraneous information being given between options. When you FINALLY get the option to actually talk to a pharmacist, it hangs up on you. No matter how many times you call back, this keeps happening and there are no other options to get hold of anyone.

S G: I am mortified that I have to transfer my Rx here. I had a miserable experience trying to transfer the them; a worse experience trying to acquire them, and had some of the dumbest conversations I’ve ever had. Please, if you can avoid this pharmacy, try to do so. They get two stars because at least two of the employees were trying.

Kia Hairston: I wish I can give it no stars. The employee Kimberly was very rude and disrespectful to not only me but a elderly. The elderly cough yes we know it’s Covid how ever the way she handle this was very very rude. She sprayed the gentleman with Lysol spray. Rushed him and yelled at him in the line. She called me over to get checked out but the elderly was still trying to gather his belongings so I told her I will come once he’s gone from her register. She got upset and called for the next person behind me. I was so mad. How can you be so rude to someone who had to be 60 and over then get upset with a 27 year old is giving that elder the respect of not rushing him. Needless to say I called and of course a manager is never available. Never again would I come to this store. I’m still looking for a corporate number.

Shuqi Zhao: I have been having pleasant experience with this CVS for months until I met a mean manager this morning. She only applied 2 out of 4 Pantene hair coupon and was inpatient when I check the coupons. Later on when I came back to redeem the $10 cash card with another cashier, that cashier had to call her 3 times asking her to come to the front and give the card to me. She said I could use the bar code as ExtraBuck Reward so I don’t need the card. Then she argued with the cashier and reluctantly gave me the card. In the end, after the cashier removed the bar code (for the cash card) and returned the rest of the receipt to me, she didn’t pay attention to us and shouted to the cashier don’t give me the bar code. Overall she was very unprofessional and disrespectful. I’d rather go to the King Street CVS for better service although this one the way closer to my house.

DAFCP C: Horrible CVS. Worst service ever. Manager guy (think he is from Ethiopia) has no clue what he is doing completely clueless and rude

Cam C.: Pretty bad CVS. Not sure about the Pharmacy; but 1 out of 3 items I pick-up to buy ends up with a different price at the register. I have the CVS card too. No one can ever explain, I put back the item or just pay the extra. Avoid.

Paul Shumer: Very good location that I used and visited many times. I know they are sometime very busy so it takes them 10 minutes to help, but they are doing a great work at this CVS.

CVS: what do users think?

Ethan L: They closed the store earlier than the posted time. I arrived 15 min b4 11pm and the shutter was down. There are a few other patrons complaining of the same.

John H.: Came by almost a full hour after their posted opening time, shutters still down, lights off.

A D: Walked from hotel to have them close the metal gate and give us the cut throat signal that they are closed at 5:52p.m. on a Saturday. Certainly an odd time to close and not the hours posted . Would it hurt to let us in and request that we be quick? Agree with previous comments about poor customer service. Also wish I could give zero stars.

Beth Carter: Excellent and efficient service! I struggled with a few pharmacies in the area before I figured out that this one is the only one who regularly keeps my medication in stock, charges me in the most convenient way, and they even notified me when something was unusual in my prescription (my doctor accidentally prescribed me for an old medication that isn’t covered by my insurance, and they called me within half an hour to verify the situation). The rest of the CVS is a step above other in the area too, with everything being clean and well stocked. Everybody inside, from pharmacy staff to the cashiers up front are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable!

Tom Macellaro: Very friendly and helpful staff.

Sparsh Gupta: Terrible service, terrible people. Do not go to this CVS. One of the staff members was on my tail 30 seconds into going into to store about finding something to checkout. I asked him about what I needed and he was over my shoulder the entire time. When I finally checked out, he asked the cashier: “did he pay for that?” Appalling, truly.

D. Joe Szabo: A good pick for non-prescribed drugs as well as for dry snacks or emergency food. Too bad most discounts are only valid for CVS card owners, thus excludin non-US people. Excellent location, self-checkout stands.

Sonia S: Horrible. Cancelled my vaccine without letting me know but didn’t cancel it in the system so I can’t get one somewhere else. Wont pick up the phone when I call to get help.

Dani Hristova (Danixoxohri): Great selection could be more organized

CVS: what do users think?

Courtenay O'Connell: This is a huge CVS with accommodating, friendly staff. My 40% off coupon expired today, so I purchased an eye product I needed. Edward helped me check out since the 40% off coupon did not come up with self checkout. Husband used his CVS card to purchase the White Castle burgers. They were even cheaper with his reward bucks. Edward helped him, too! Great experience for both of us.

Your Helpful Wendy: Thank you very much to the staff and the CVS because my son and I got to this location The moment they were closing and they open the doors just for us to get what we needed. We just got back from a trip and the only thing we really need it was water. Everything as a regular CVS had the prices, deal with all the products I am used to own a CVS, and the lady charged us quick.

Sarah A: Renetta (working at 5:39 Sunday, March 13) was possibly the most horrifically rude employee to a non-English speaking customer. In the most aggressive and condescending tone, Renetta yelled (like actually yelled because other people looked over to see what was happening), “can’t you read” to the customer when they asked why they couldn’t pay with cash at self check out. The self check out had a “No Cash” sign above it (but not in any other language). It was evident the customer did not speak English well - they were even using the Spanish mode on the self-checkout register. I’m leaving this cvs feeling sick over Renatta’s blatant lack of empathy and willingness to humiliate a customer so quickly. All they asked for was help paying with cash. They should not have been humiliated over such a simple request.

Nickolas: This pharmacy is terrible. Takes them days to fill scripts and are closed on the weekends. I have had issues everytime I go here. After 10 years of using CVS pharmacies I’m going elsewhere

Mary Miller: Google says open until 10 PM. walked here to find they were closed at 8:30 PM

Mercedes Brygider: If I could give them ZERO stars I would. The pharmacy has posted hours they don’t abide by so when your dr calls in a prescription because it’s life or death medication I can’t get it filled at another pharmacy because it’s in process with the insurance company. I would have never chosen to use this location to have it filled if they actually abided by their posted hours. Pharmacy hours for everyone going to this location are posted as 9am-6pm, note posted on the closed pharmacy window, we will open later than usual; when you ask the only cashier that works there what time they open: go to the CVS down the street we don’t open on the weekends.

Michele L Watley: The pharmacy staff was disrespectful and provided poor customer service. The guy in the pharmacy at the counter was condescending and beyond rude and to be this way during the crisis our nation is going through is uncalled for. The store was absolutely filthy, milk crates everywhere, food on the floor, product misplaced and thrown about. I will NEVER shop at this location again and would not recommend this store to anyone to shop at.

Bei Heir: Hmmm , this is the most recent experience that is posted here, so here we go ! Staff were very helpful when we first walked in. I waited at the walk-in clinic for about 2 mins before being called. I am not sure what this cvs looked like on a regular day before the covid... However, my experience was just fine. This cvs is gigantic compared to the ones I have shopped in. I did not want to stay any longer only because I probably would get stuck shopping !

CVS: what do users think?

Kathleen Tedford: If you are sick and thinking to use the MinuteClinic - DO NOT DO IT! The medical assistant that works in that clinic is one of the most inappropriate unprofessional employees I have ever come into contact. I went in for a COVID treatment only to be lectured because I scheduled the wrong appointment. I apologized and requested a COVID test only to be given more attitude and lectured again. When I started coughing, this lady then was like "the nurse might not see you since you are coughing". Ultimately, she refused to test me and was very unprofessional. The nurse came out to apologize, but the damage was already done, I ended up leaving and went to an urgent care. DO BETTER CVS, read your reviews, this place gets few stars. Total rubbish - I have called corporate and hope they will listen.

Courtney Carroll: Worst pharmacy experience ever. Wasn’t helped for 10 mins but looked at multiple times. When asked if I needed help, I responded yes but they just ignored me again. Then when I was finally helped, she just told me it was out of stock. If that happens elsewhere, I am usually suggested another pharmacy or told they would order my prescription. Rudest people ever. Never going back to this location and wouldn’t recommend that anyone does.

Eddies: This CVS is very busy 24 hour store which functions as a drug store, mini food mart, and mini department store, since the neighborhood is seriously lacking all three. As such, the inventory is relatively decent. But unfortunately like most urban CVS stores the service here is ATROCIOUS. They never have enough cashiers on duty because they now divert people to "self checkout" and the cashiers they do have on duty are slow, lazy and rude. I avoid this place as much as possible.

Khoi Nguyen: 24 hour CVS. Staff here is really friendly. You get the occasional drunk folks stroll in throughout the evening and they do a great job at keeping the store clean

C C: Seriously rude staff member named Ali (not sure of the spelling). Was waiting with another shopper at some tables near the bathroom and he came and told us we were not allowed to wait there. Another staffer asked him why he was making us leave, and whether we should be allowed to wait, and use the restroom, he said no. Then he walked away. No explanation for denying us access and service. I completed my purchase and left the store. All the other staff members were polite and helpful.

CVS: what do users think?

T. Roberts: The employees forget they’re at work! Don’t go to this location if you want great or even good customer service. I walked in when they opened this morning (05/19/22) and they just looked at me as if I was lost. No one greeted me. I had to almost chase one of the employees down just to be helped and walked up to the counter to complete my transaction to find two having a full conversation and continued when they saw me walk up. I had to interject to get the one behind the counter to ring me up. Great location for convenience, horrible customer service.

F W: Joe, the manager of this particular pharmacy went out of his way to order my grandma’s much needed medication, which I went many different pharmacies to fill….. was initially given the run around, dismissive employees, or none NONE had the medicine in stock, in which they said would take over a WEEK to be delivered. Joe actually took the time to LISTEN to my plight and frustration, as I drive from over an hour away to help her pick up, as she is now slowing down so much she is basically bedridden Joe, had iit delivered and ready for her THE NEXT DAY. Thank you sir, your hard work does NOT go unnoticed. In the future i will always go directly to you, because you obviously care about your job, and your community. Love always

J Heather: Most reviews referenced horrible customer service— totally agree. You will get an attitude for simple things: I wanted a cash back and said I needed to use the automated machine (clearly it stated no cash back on the machine). Then, pointed at the atm (but the machine charges a fee). Then, showed the attitude when the staff was forced to ring me on the machine. I guess some people just don’t have customer service skills.

Olivia Panaski: I’ve always had a really good experience with CVS pharmacy but the pharmacist at this location was incredibly rude, unhelpful, and condescending. If you hate your job that much, maybe find a new one buddy.

Volodymyr Babich: Pharmacy used to be good. But it looks like Dustin is gone and the new pharmacist does not know how to run a store. I heard her berate/argue with a customer whether a prescription has been picked up. She was very rude. The line to pick up prescriptions was 7 customers long, but out of 4 people working in the pharmacy only one was actually serving customers. The staff did not seem comfortable operating the checkout. The pharmacist had her mask on her chin the entire time. Ironic because she was surrounded by posters showing how to wear a mask correctly. I will avoid this pharmacy in the future.

Vanessa J Panaligan: I am livid at their poor excuse for customer service. I had an appt for a flu shot tonight, but I was turned away because they ran out. I had scheduled this online and got confirmation and all but no notification that they had run out! They didn’t even apologize. I then checked with other CVS locations, and they said you have to have an appt. Well, geez! I had one, but I got dismissed! Thanks for wasting my time!

Darragh Joyce: Avoid it like the plague. Workers are so rude and unhelpful. One person made me wait for her to finish texting before ringing me up. Kind of funny now that I think about it, but also, i want to checkout and go home! This location has been rotting now for many years and it may take a quadruple bypass to save it.

Matt Magill: Worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Hands down. Workers do not wear masks and they are extremely rude. Waited 30 minutes to get a flu shot that I made an appointment for. Pharmacist said I can wait another 30 minutes or leave. I left and will never return

Julian Hunt: What happened to the old staff? Looks like a corporate reshuffle to understaff and squeeze out more profit. The new staff is lazy, slow and inattentive. Big line just gave up as the attendant preferred stocking the shelves to serving pick-up customers. Is this a corporate strategy to downsize and force customers to unreliable “home delivery”?

CVS: what do users think?

Laura Martin: The pharmacist here injected my arm with a syringe of air instead of the COVID vaccine by mistake. They consistently lose prescriptions or say things aren’t covered by my insurance to later find out they are. Just one of the worst CVS experiences I’ve ever had.

Crystal Venable: The store is clean this particular CVS on Columbia Heights needs more workers good customer service

Ben Royer: This pharmacy has the worst customer service. Long waits, inefficient operations, and a filthy store. I rarely fill my meds here because it’s absolutely absurd how poorly it is run. Stay far away. Far, far away. There are plenty of other pharmacies in the area. Go there.

Ashara Media: It is impossible to get somebody to talk on the phone at the pharmacy. Long line to pick up orders at the pharmacy. Workers look they are overworked, as a result they hardly have customer interaction. This place a lot of attention from workers, or needs more workers, or good management.

Charles-Stephen Laubhouet: Quick visit but i found what i needed! Remember not to park on the side of the road thats a ticket ! Cashiers are cool and location is convenient

Arlett Martinez: Worst pharmacy. The lady who took my prescription told me it will be ready with in an hour. I come back an hour and a half after just to find out that my prescription is not ready and I have to wait one more hour. And the lady in the back is rolling her eyes, when she gets pay to so her job. I would suggest to the manager to pay attention to all the complaints and reviews. All these people cannot be wrong if you keep getting the same complaints over and over again.

CVS: what do users think?

Chris Aresu: Struggles filling simple prescriptions. They’re never ready for pickup, even when I’m told over the phone or text that they’re ready for pick up. Staff seems perpetually under resourced. Nobody is ever available to pick up the phone, so calling ahead to sort out any issues is impossible. CVS in general is garbage compared to other pharmacies, but this location is in a special tier of awful.

Tyler Hayes: Staff here is completely lazy and not willing to assist, meanwhile the shelves are left nearly empty and they close their doors way earlier than when they state their open till. This place desperately needs some new management

Alejandra Panchi: I was calling from a dental office to call in a prescription for a patient, i was on hold for almost 30minutes. These employees can’t seem to multitask and it’s very inconvenient. Eventually I hung up. Please do better, lucky the clinics near by are keeping this place in business.

Tracy Latoya Press: Why does no one EVER answer the phone....ever. I really hate this pharmacy. The employees are also terribly lazy and rude.

gloria johnson: I’m come to this cvs occasionally and it never improves to much security not enough regular workers plus there shelves are never stocked

D'Amata Lee: They cold drinks are always half empty. Employees in there playing around instead filling the cooler with more drinks including waters. Knowing it’s hot outside and people would be buying up the beverages. This is always an issue. Totally unacceptable. Management needs to get involved . Walked pass several employees.. none of the greeted me. They just walked passed and didn’t say anything. This store has poor customer service.

CVS: what do users think?

Will Beale: Pharmacy has very poor customer service. Attempted to pick up prescribed medicine on three different occasions. Each time was turned away because pharmacists could not process payment. To make matters worse, not even cordial or apologetic about its lack of execution. Not worth the effort of returning a fourth time. Better off at Walgreens.

Bonsita: By far one of the worst experiences of my life. Another store asked them to put my medication on hold, which was another issue. They told me it would be ready today but never processed my refill. I drove from VA to DC. Paid $14 for parking. It was not on hold and the pharmacist couldn’t figure out how to bill through the discount card. He told me he couldn’t help me, I needed to wait 2 hours, and he wasn’t calling the other store because he was too busy. I ended up having to leave without the medication. I tried to call the original store and no one ever picked up the phone. I proceeded to call other pharmacies ( Walgreens,Giant, Walmart) and while they didn’t have it, at least they picked up the phone to answer my questions. Transferring my script ASAP. The customer service at this CVS was garage. I will be filing a complaint

Miss Miracles: Very rude. Attempted to get my prescription but they claimed system down. The next day I called they said the same thing.. had meds transferred to another location

Dennis Gonzalez: They seem constantly understaffed. When they tell you something will be ready in 30 mins or an hour, it won’t be. We’ve come multiple times and when they tell you it will be ready, they constantly need additional time if they actually process your request. I’d advise you to drop off your prescription or call to see that it’s being processed than pick it up in a day or two to guarantee it will be ready.

Tyrie Jenkins: I’ve been to a thousand pharmacies in different places around dc/places that I’ve lived and never left a review, that’s how terrible this pharmacy is. About 2/3 of the time when I show up 5/6/7 hours after my script was called in, they havent even started filling it. As in they just forget about it. The last time this happened a few weeks ago when I was already late leaving on a trip, I had to wait for 45 minutes for them to finally fill it because the pharmacist decided to go on break halfway through after neglecting my script for 6 hours prior. If my insurance doesn’t cover a medication they just don’t fill it at all even though I’ve explained to them that I do not care I’ll just pay for it. I’ve explained this time and time again yet they continue to intentionally not fill these 2 medications anyway. Later, I went in 40 minutes after the pharmacy opened so I could pick up an emergency refill before work, and the pharmacist wasn’t even in yet, they were 40 minutes late to their job filling people’s life saving medications. Finally, I’ve had my old phone number on my account in addition to my current one despite me asking at least 30 times to have it removed and being ensured that it will be (it’s still on there). This means half the prescription update texts are sent to a number that does not even exist anymore. Switching to the CVS at the wharf ASAP, do not trust these people with your medications.

thomas harty: Made a noon appointment for a flu shot. First i was told online appointments are not being honored. Then realizing they were calling my name out over the comm speaker asked me to sit down. 45 minutes later I was asked to walk around the store a bit as another person had shown up with an earlier appointment. The entire purpose of making an appointment was to minimize contact with others but the quality at which the pharmacy is being run makes the completely impossible. Additionally they seem horrifically understaffed, shame on cvs.

Jessica Carnes: Very unprofessional and rude staff. I called several times to check on my prescription, they put me on hold and was disconnected at least 3 times. I also called prior to pick up my medication, this was the 4th attempt. Receptionist said the prescription was ready, when I arrived there they made me wait another 20 minutes. I was handed my medication in a very rude manner, the young lady didn’t even has the nerve to hand me my receipt, she left it on the machine and walked away. RUDE!!! I would never go back to this pharmacy. I have to say though, the clerks at the store(Front desk) very nice!! Nice gentleman. Please hire better people at your pharmacy.

Figgy King Smith: Cashiers up front are fine, pharmacy is terribly rude though. They never give me a receipt, always just walk away after gruffly handing me my prescription. I called to transfer a script there, a simple request, and the attitude I got from the woman on the phone was crazy. Felt like she hated me.

CVS: what do users think?

A Harv: I was in a serious jam and in a big time rush, but the manager Kyara did a great job of helping me find the items I needed. She seemed to care as much as I did. I’m not used to this kind of great customer service in 2022, so I had to shout her out on Google. Keep up the great work. That store is lucky to have you.

Lauren Arsenault: Tried to buy a much needed gift bag there but they wouldn’t sell it to me because it wouldn’t scan? Poor customer service and left me in a tough spot.

Prof. T.L.T.: Racist manager kept pressing “security to the front” button while a black doctor shopped for food. I guess the Dr. looked suspicious in gym clothes!!! This was humiliating and unnecessary.

Mary Gordon: My doctor sent my prescription to this pharmacy twice and when I call they say they haven’t received anything. No other help offered when I really need my prescription. I’ll be using another pharmacy from now on

Forrest Smith: It’s weird to be told that a place is closed before they’re actually closed, but given the majority of the reviews for this place, it’s really not surprising they would provide substandard service.

marche davis: Cashier was very rude and disrespectful to me today. She did not greet me , or better yet wanted to ring me up . This Cashier is name Carolyn, if I see this behavior continues with employe. I will be contacting HR .

Neha Kapoor: The manager Ton is absolutely incredible. I had to make a last minute move and he went above and beyond to keep boxes aside for me to pick up multiple times. He is extremely kind and his customer service is superb. I will always remember this and will come back to this and recommend this CVS location

Jack: Worst customer service ever for a pharmacy! I came here to buy vitamin D this morning but needed some advice regarding the type (D2 or D3) and the dosage. The first woman behind the counter had literally no clue so she went to see the woman who was preparing the prescriptions. First she did not even pay attention and then came to me looking very upset, she did not even respond to my hello. She just said I should just go and pick whatever vitamin D3 and she left as she came without caring about the dosage or asking if I needed something else. I live right across the street and this woman is systematically mean with customers. I will now walk a few blocks and better go to rite aid on U rather than endure this type of behavior.

Cecilia Duffy: The female pharmacist who runs this location is fantastic, and always helpful. She’s on top of everything. The male pharmacist is the exact opposite. He seems to be there more often now which is unfortunate. Time to find a new location

serfas 606: Staff is nice, but don’t even bother trying to call the pharmacy department . No one answers the phone. They must be short staffed or they turn their phone off. You can put your phone on speaker and set it down for an hour and they still don’t answer. You’re better off just going there yourself to talk to someone or get your prescriptions from the Dupont Circle CVS.

Chris Osborn: This is probably the most understaffed/under managed cvs in dc. I waited on the phone for 30 mins. No one picked up. I came back to the store at 3 after being told my prescription would be ready by noon and still wasn’t ready. I’m now waiting over 30 mins to have the pharmacist approve the prescription even though the associate says it’s ready. This store needs more staff.

Jim H: The Pharmacy is woefully understaffed. It is impossible to get them on the phone. I had all my prescriptions transferred to Dupont Circle Cvs. There it’s a completely different experience.

Fortuna Semere: My customer experience at 1637 P ST NW, Washington store CVS Pharmacy was the best customer service ever seen. It was amazing. There was two employees at the register Ms. Sheila & Ms. Twanda. There were very friendly toward their customers. They are very helpful. They show their customer how important to them. They are attentiveness listen to their customers concerns. Thanks again for the wonderful services.

CVS: what do users think?

Gary: Best pharmacy we’ve found in D.C. The pharmacist is extremely helpful and kind. Another staff person was equally caring. This CVS is also a health hub, can do some testing (like blood sugar), and has a larger selection of medicines and supplies than other stores.

Renita Lake: Got what I needed and some good conversation too.

Eraina Scott: The manager on duty on 9/12/20 at 1310 hours is very unprofessional. She is not able to communicate well nor does she have the ability to lead her team by example.

M M: Not sure why they have appointment times. Horribly unprofessional to keep people w appointment times waiting for well over 45 mins.

James Bartel: Minute Clinic?? Huh, clearly by name only!! What a joke, first in the building 2 minutes after opening, first to sign in yet a message came back and said I had a 107 minute wait. Really? For What? You could hear crickets it was so dead and quiet in there. If I am going to go to a Urgent Care facility, I will skip CVS in the future, and go to a real one.

J C: The minute clinic experience was very disappointing. The NP on duty was very unhelpful and eventually found out that she never submitted my claim for the visit, so from there began the six months of back and forth between my insurance and CVS.

Harvey Glick: I like my local CVS.

Sophie Levy: Manager Scott absolutely incredible helped my friend with her stomach illness and went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed. MVP of cvs

CVS: what do users think?

Mr Blue: They don’t care about you I went there for a walk-in Covid 19 booster shot and the pharmacist turned me away saying I needed an appointment. There are multiple signs in the store and on the counter that clearly says « walk-in welcome », when I pointed it out to the pharmacist he said « OK ». If you don’t want to work at all, or do your job or help people, you shouldn’t work here in a pharmacy.

Nathalie Denham: Pharmacist Yvette deserves so much praise!! I started getting my medications filled here since covid started early 2020. i had some initial issues with new insurance covering my meds that i pickup almost biweekly and Yvette has had the heart and patience to help advocate for me and assist when I procrastinated far too often on getting refills when i have only one dose left. I can tell she works so hard and really cares about her colleagues and everyone that comes to the pharmacy. I can’t say enough good things. she is a household name for my family now and going to get refills isn’t a dreadful chore anymore because even our 30 second convos when it’s busy just light up my day <3

Lynelle Nicole: I’m not sure who the old man was working the register last night but he was great. Very helpful, good customer service, and got me in/out fairly quickly.

Happy Days: The pharmacist doesn’t know how to process insurance card.. My insurance company had to call and walk her through the process. Wasted two hours of my time. She is not even pretending to care . Avoid this location at all cost ! Or better , please send a more skilled pharmacist.

harmandeep singh: I think 1101 New York Ave CVS/Pharmacy store is the cleanest store in downtown DC. The store staff is really friendly. I come over here almost 4 times a week and I always feel welcomed by the store staff and especially by the store manager Casey. Love this CVS ❤️❤️

Kaleab Tessema: I met this wonderful women called FiFonsi and i was unable to print my photo from my smartphone. She helped me figure out through the whole process and her service is beyond my imagination! Thank you so much!

J D: Aida was the lady that helped me around the store, she knew where everything was around. But what impressed me was that she was really sweet. Recommend asking for her.

CVS: what do users think?

Nils Hünerfürst: All you need to survive is here but there are no self-checkout options at this CVS store so in the case of zombie apocalypse you will die because you have to wait way too long.

Kristen X: Most depressing CVS in DC. A man with a gun and a bulletproof vest has to help you pick out toothpaste, body wash, etc. because it’s all locked up. Everything else is in short supply. No self-checkout. If Whole Foods a block away can manage to let people check out and get whatever they want without an armed guard, why can’t CVS?

Honest T: I like CVS pharmacies both in Washington DC & New York & we had a great experience there yesterday @CVS DC. Marchelle had been very nice , courteous with her sense of humor which made us laugh…My son had his covid vaccine booster & we were very happy of their services!!! Thank you very much!!! Happy New Year!!!

Lisa Biancalana: No self checkout - always long lines

Taylor Gutierrez: Place would be nice if they didn’t lock up everything. Also the place is understaffed.

Joseph Schroeder: This is the worst CVS of all time in any city I’ve ever been to. Everything is out of stock (even if online says it’s there), what they do have is behind plexiglass locks that are annoying, and the employees are mean and don’t care.

Alec Cobb: too many things locked up, understaffed, no self-checkout

CVS: what do users think?

Gabrielle Brown: My twin boys received their covid vaccine here today. The pharmacist was so polite and did his best to administer it in a gentle way. He had a good attitude even though he was the only one working the pharmacy.

ann jones: I went to this CVS at Thomas Circle this afternoon and it was appalling. It was very crowded, lines were going out the door and there were only two attendants at the registers for the entire store. I think there need to be a change in management as this is happening more often. I’m a long time customer of this particular store because I own a business close by and I’ve never seen such chaos as I’ve been seeing lately. Please clean house or I will take my business elsewhere. You are not the only CVS in the area. If I could have given you a zero star I would. Thank you.

Adam Moses: Pharmacy held my prescription until it expired without notifying me. They gave incorrect information on the refill date and I had to go back to my doctor to get a refill because of their incompetence. The pharmacy on 14th st. is a lot more reliable than this one.

Catharine: Much less than pleased with my vaccine experience at this CVS. Arrived on time for my appointment just to spend 10 minutes waiting for the pharmacist to find the vaccine cards (first red flag). Wasn’t asked for my ID or any sort of identifying information except my name which presumably the pharmacist got from the appointment record and found sufficient (second red flag). I was slightly put off but didn’t think too much of it, until I took a second look at my vaccine card today (since I need it for travel) and found that the pharmacist had forgotten to put the date of the vaccine on the card. Not sure what I’m supposed to do with a vaccine card that looks fake, and have gotten zero info from CVS about what I am supposed to do about a useless vaccine card... Haven’t gotten Covid so two stars for the J&J vaccine apparently working?

Arash S.: Today was the first and hopefully the last time in this pharmacy. One of the staff, supposedly the doctor, was trying to be helpful in describing different potential scenarios that had affected my very high copay. However, the cashier could not be more aggressive! I had a feeling that she had absolutely no idea about how to smile and talk to customers. I believe she really needs to be trained again (if she has not been) on how to deal with customers and be communicative.

CVS: what do users think?

The Owl: The CVS should hire more pharmacist like Nesreen at 2226 Wisconsin Ave NW DC. She is always very pleasant and helpful. Nesreen has the proper temperament and training for the Job, and her work is a reflection of CVS commitment to provide excellent customer service.Cyrus

Rachel M: This place is literally hell on earth. Every time I try to fill a prescription here, they insist it was never sent, even when I come prepared with a fax confirmation from the prescribing doctor. Come here if you want to live a kafka-esque nightmare where you waste an unbelievable amount of time. Also the pharmacist doesn’t even wear a mask. I know we’ve lifted mask mandates but you’d think a health professional would be more cautious.

Taylor Keeler: The pharmacy at this location is TERRIBLE. I had to go twice only to be told my insurance wasn’t the right insurance, or that my prescription card was expired. This is not true, and when I transferred it over to Walgreens they were able to fill my prescription under my insurance in less than 5 minutes. The pharmacist yelled at me, made no effort to use my insurance, and ultimately almost cost me $75. Incredibly incompetent. The girl working at the counter was the only nice person there. Huge waste of time at this pharmacy that just wants as much money as they can get.

Nicole S: This is literally the worst cvs I’ve ever been to and everyone in the neighborhood knows it too. The pharmacy staff are horrific… so incredibly rude and SLOW. They completely messed up my prescription and it took over a month for them to fix it, along with the attitude that came with it all from the pharmacy staff. Someone needs to do something about this place

Tyler Hill: They filled my prescription wrong. Took over a month to fix it, then didn’t tell me it was ready until after it was “expired”. The pharmacist was rude and refused to take any responsibility or offer a solution. I had to file a complaint with the better business bureau to get so much as an apology.

Rachel Henzlik: This is a review of their newly renovated minute clinic - it’s wonderful! The nurse practitioner was very thorough and kind. The store is also well stocked and has a variety of products. I would definitely come back for the minute clinic and to shop. Best CVS I’ve been to in DC.

CVS: what do users think?

David Friedlander: Bought a phone card that was not rang though the cash Register took it back they said they would not do anything about it???? I wonder what happened to the 50.00 drawer overage? called corporate still waiting 20 minutes on hold still waiting.I will let the media know what happens

Samantha Unger: Got a text at 1:42 that my prescriptions were ready for pick up. Had my Uber driver stop my ride short so I could go to CVS before getting home. Got to the pharmacy at 1:45. The pharmacy is closed and has a sign that they’re closed from 1-2. So while they’re closed for an hour, they’ll still text you to come in and get your prescription. I’m all for taking a lunch break. But don’t text people that they’re prescriptions are ready if you’re not open.

Angelica Mattox: This CVS is less than three minutes from my apartment ideally this is the most convenient pharmacy to pick up my medication. However, instead of calling me or my doctor to notify us that they don’t have it and we would need to make other arrangements it took me calling four days later to find out there was an issue.

KW: I’ve stayed with the pharmacy out of convenience but now at the point of moving my prescriptions to a pharmacy less convenient just so I don’t have to have the same conversation every time the pharmacy misses the mark. It happens EVERY single time. You would think being a customer for nearly 5 years would count for something but this CVS pharmacy treats everyone like they are just a number. There is a really nice girl who works behind the pharmacy counter but that’s it. No personal touch beyond my interactions with her. Do better CVS!

Tristana Fiscella: For a fairly small modest C.V.S. you can get quite a few hair care products like combs and caps and conditioning treatments as well as makeup. I appreciated the self service checkout and friendly security.

Kati Marti: Came here for my second covid shot. I live in VA but nowhere had any doses, so I drove in just for this. Extremely friendly and quick service. Not busy at all! Was in and out in 10 minutes.

Bernice Friedlander: This the second time they did not deliver my meds on time after promising me they would do so last Friday. I am out of my diabetes medicine tonight. They were told this both the pharmacist and the manager. They lied. I will never trust them again.

Chad W: Warning for APO / DPO Pharmacy Users. On two separate occasions, this pharmacy failed to send prescription medication as promised leading to critical doses that were missed. In one instance, it took a week before the prescription was mailed. In another instance, it was a week and a half and they had misplaced the address and credit card number I provided to cover shipping. Follow up with them every day until you have a USPS tracking number.

W Merritt: Standard fare for CVS. Self Checkouts were not working. Staff running the registers were only half interested in working, mostly chatting with each other. When you have to have bandaids because you cant walk any more, you do what you have to...

Abdulrahman: I’ve been helped by Delois. She was amaaaazing and really made my day. I was trying to print a passport photo for my infant daughter and she was there to help. Thank you Delois

Kevin Kane: All their signage says 24 hours despite that not being true

CVS: what do users think?

Maia Laing: The staff are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The store is always well stocked with a variety of items. The pharmacist are pleasant and there is never a long wait. Hours have been restricted due to COVID, it would be nice for them to be open 24/7.

Terence Abraham: Went here to fill a prescription of eye drops and was met by Ruth “the rude pharmacist.” She was extremely rude and condescending and asked me is was going to wait or pickup. I told her that I would wait and she got upset and asked me to come back in 30 minutes. After coming back in 30, she asked me again rudely that has it already been 30 minutes and then asked me to come back in 30 minutes. Is this a joke? Mind you I am just picking up eye drops, why does it take 30 minutes? Or let alone an hour? Is 30 her favorite number? Went to a different CVS and was out in 15 minutes. Clearly this is not CVS’s common practice and must have proper training on customer service. Skip this location and go the one on 4th street which is right around the corner, what a difference. Will never come back to this store. Shame on you Ruth!

Nikolas Asaro: Worst customer service. On the rare occasion I need to pick up something, I go to this CVS. The cashiers are not friendly at all and they stop letting people come in before their posted store closing hours. Several times I have tried to pick up something quick and they have an employee standing at the door telling people they are closed. When asked what time they close, they replied, 10 o’clock. Then I show them that it is before 10 o’clock and they door man says it is so they can leave at 10 o’clock. If you can avoid it, don’t buy anything there.

Shelly Lu: This CVS is the worst CVS in DC. The cashiers are highly rude and act like they don’t want to be working. I was helped by Dreshawn and the whole time he was on his phone texting while ringing me up. Before you guys hire people, make sure they have some good customer service skills.

Yasmine Assadipour: The pharmacy here is atrocious and lucky they are the only one in the area or I would have quit them long ago. Multiple times my doctors have left messages they claim never to receive, one time they incorrectly inactivated the prescription I needed and then told me they could inactivate but not reactivate so I had to bother my doctor here a second time for the same medication. Months ago they refused to fill a completely valid pain medication prescription for no reason after I’d had a procedure, I never use pain medication and myself am a HCP and knew there was nothing wrong with the prescription but the pharmacist there was on a power kick and left me in pain for a day while I had to get another script and bring it to another pharmacy. CVS should be ashamed of this site.

Caroline Jenkins: Worst customer service not only of any CVS I’ve been to, but any pharmacy at all. Cashiers extremely rude to customers, refuses to open other registers despite there being 15+ people in line. One decided to even go on her break while a long line of customers was still building up. Will never ever return. Very disappointed in CVSs choice of employees

Amelia Visnauskas: Pretty decent selection and generally neat and orderly. They have a good selection of makeup and snacks, but less practical home items. Lots of seasonal items and tourist items too.

Helen Mitra: I am an overseas visitor and have travelled extensively. I very rarely write a review but having stayed at the nearby hotel and needed to buy basics from this store I had to visit it several times. I found the customer service terrible every time. Staff were impolite and unfriendly. There was no effort to provide a smile or assist. Staff just would not acknowledge you or let you wait as if they are arrogant and completely disinterested in providing you with service. They desperately need customer service training even the pharmacist.

CVS: what do users think?

Julian Hines: The pharmacist here are RUDE AS HELL! Absolutely terrible customer service, dismissive and provide ZERO explanations, just attitude for no reason. I came for my booster shot, lady walks from behind the counter, booster bare in hand, gives me zero instruction, zero information. Like you guys really need to address that issue ASAP. It was a woman with a heavy accent, seriously you guys should be ashamed. TERRIBLE ALL AROUND. I had no attitude so im confused what was wrong with her smfh

Daniel Call: This CVS is in rougher shape than many I have visited. The aisles are fairly cramped, and when I went to check out, the cashier walked me over to self-checkout. (I would have gone there anyway, but I was buying an item with a security device attached. I thought she would remove it and then ring me out, but instead she removed it and took me to self-checkout...?) I felt like I was being followed by one of the workers the entire time, which was unusual.

Lavonnia Johnson: The stor is clean and they always provide great customer service.

damarria lowery: I shop her often and know all of the staff. But they need better security..the last 5 times I visited this location I have witnessed them being robbed blind..people com in with backpack, shopping bags and yep tote bags. They take the merchandise and walk right out of the store.. This may be a reason why shelves are empty.. I saw one guest come in and fill two shopping bags of food from the freezer.. Such a shame.

Rupa C: I have been coming to this CVS for approximately 7 years. I highly recommend it. Any issue I have had in the past with a script or with refills , has always been addressed in a timely manner. When my insurance would not cover a expensive medication my child required for 2 ruptured eardrums ($187 for 10mls!), the pharmacist here helped me navigate a pre-authorization through the Dr which lead to coverage from the insurance. The pharmacist know their medication related information. 2 times, the pharmacist here have given me a heads up about serious potential side effects, that my own Dr failed to mention. The pharmacy staff takes the time to answer questions, are helpful with recommendation and actually care about their customers. I really appreciate them!!

CVS: what do users think?

Josh: Pharmacy employees will stand there and count pills without saying a word, while making you wait 10 minutes. It happens every time

Garry Highland: Poorly stocked and overpriced. many of the workers seem to have something better to do when asked for assistance in finding items, seeing how this is the weirdest layout of a store I have ever seen, I have to guess there are several people other than me asking where items are located. I only stopped here for one item and never did find it.

Gwendolyn Threatt: Ordered prints online, called after waiting past the estimated ready time, only to be told that their printing machine was out. No sense of customer service, bland apology, no help with finding out which branch might have a working machine.

C. M.: Everyone is wonderful here! Really appreciate the white gentleman who works at the Pharmacy daily. He is so polite, fast, efficient and never seems tired! I love this CVS. The 30 minutes walk is worth it.

Earle Douglass: This is a fine CVS but not a thoughtful one. There are cash registers at both entrances to the store but only one register bank is ever manned and there is almost always a line. This store desperately needs more manpower or automated checkout machines.

dwayne gulley: A bit compact but all the employees are helpful and the pharmacy is top notch. In and out quickly over the past 6 visits!!!

Florence McDavies: The employee on duty was beyond unprofessional and disrespectful. Her name was Ashanti and she was on her phone the entire transaction. I asked for assistance and she literally sucked her teeth. She’s bad for business and this is not my first encounter with her horrible service.
