Karen Hampton: Just got my new Roman shades installed from the Shade Store in my ktichen and they are truly fabulous (follow up in six months)! My sales associate, Jordanna, assisted me and stayed in communication with me from day one (appreciate that). She also was helpful in selecting an accomodating fabric (shade novice I am). And lastly, my installer, Nicholas, was great. On time, considerate of my home (mask and booties) and went beyond the call of duty to make sure I was pleased. Saving up for maybe another room.

Karen McFarlane: Love our new drapes from The Shade Store! They really complete the room! Karen at the Wellesley store was very helpful with design. They also took care of measurements and installation - quick and easy! Great selection of fabrics and end product was top quality. I do wish they had a wider selection of hardware, but we found something that worked for us. We will be back when we tackle the next room!

Alan R: Being a customer of The Shade Store has been the most frustrating, infuriating, disappointing and regrettable experience with a business that I have ever had. We spent about $4,000 to have 5 shades made for a new house. One came with a stain, one was sized incorrectly and one did not open fully. The one that was not sized correctly came with a faulty cord. An entirely new shade was sent to replace that, but it was sent in the wrong color. A new cord was sent, but when it was installed, the installer broke the shade and two days later the cord fell out of the mechanism. A chain cord was sent to us for no reason at all. Each error requires weeks to be corrected because of either the time it takes to make ship the replacement parts or the time, usually three weeks, that it takes to schedule a technician. Sometimes these processes are not in sync, and on two occasions we had an installer arrive when there was nothing to install. There is no good way to alert the company of this because of its useless online system. Our salesperson seemed to mean well at first, but as the problems mounted she stopped responding to us until we escalated the matter to The Shade Store's corporate office. Nearly six months after first walking into the Shade Store show room, thinking that it would be easier and less of a headache than using a more budget friendly option, the cellular shade on my master bedroom will not close and is not operational. The cord is sitting on the floor and cannot be used. The Shade Store eventually offered a partial refund for one shade but still has not fixed the problem. First, they sent the wrong part to correct the faulty clutch. Then they sent the new clutch cover in the wrong color. Save yourself this trouble and get your window treatments elsewhere.

Monica Weeks: Leo is the absolute best. Everyone in the store was helpful and kind but Leo was the associate assigned to my project and he was so helpful and prompt in replying. The Shade Store is a beautiful store and I loved the layout. It was easy to feel and see the products and installation was easy to schedule and do. I waited until I’d gone through the whole process before writing a review. I have to say I’ve been very happy with this experience. To be honest I did find a couple quotes less than the shade store but the ease of going in a convenient location in dc and their customer service was totally worth paying a little more. Highly recommend and I can’t wait to place my second order!

Alex Vavouyios: I don't even know where to begin with this place. I actually was very patient in not writing a poor review, giving them multiple chances over the course of the past few months, but maybe this will help others. Imagine everything that could happen following an installation of blinds for you to be mad enough to come write a review on google and that is how bad this company's customer service is. This place essentially has one product and managed to screw up on all fronts. This could be a case study for college students on how not to provide customer service and/or screw up your brand. From the shade's physical and functional quality defects, long lead times, poor communication, lack of departmental communication, missing items, etc., it is all here folks. Sure, you can order blinds, get lucky, and have no issues post installation. However, be prepared to have the ultimate level of ineptitude in case anything goes wrong with your shades/installation. Think your issue has gone far enough or annoyed you enough to warrant an escalation to the top of customer care? Forget it. Tried that. Shade store, you may want to revise your annual strategic planning before this experience trickles down to more and more people.

Ed Wood: I wish I could give them 0 stars. I ordered 5 fabric Roman shades and all 5 were incorrect when they were installed. They remeasured and replaced them for free, but all 5 if the replacements were also incorrect (in different ways from the first set). They remeasured and sent a third set which were still incorrect (again, in different ways from the first two orders). This has all taken over 5 months. Getting a refund and going to another company. Update: they gave me a partial refund and the only communication I have received is the response below. Jacklyn was not "in touch", I just received an email with the partial credit amount and no explanation. At these prices they should have better customer service and quality control.

Rex G: It’s great to find good options, better to find so many great options in one place and even better to find them so nicely displayed with samples to take home with you. But it’s Casey C that makes shopping at the shade store THE BEST! Her delightful energy through the entire process of selection, measuring and ordering always made me smile. When there was an issue with my initial selection after the measurement appointment, she didn’t hesitate to call me to work through some alternate options that wouldn’t get caught on my doorknob. Her attention to detail and patience quoting a few different combinations led to an even better result in the end. When the solar shade and xl blinds came in, it was clear that The Shade Store takes pride in what they do- the materials and construction are nicer and the installation was easier than any other window treatment I’ve installed. They may cost more than the competition, but you definitely get what you pay for in this case. Top notch customer service from Casey and beautiful, well made products both mean that I’ll be back for more!

SARAH LADITKA: We love our new window treatments from the Shade Store in Georgetown! Emily was wonderful to work with from start to finish – she discussed all of the options and helped us find window treatments that work well and look fabulous. The solar roller shades, with the most transparency, are fantastic for all windows; we can look out and have a lot of privacy. We also have Roman shades in the bedrooms. Sydney Gennari: Our experience with the Shade Store was wonderful and I would highly recommend this company (and specifically this location) to anyone looking for window treatments. We worked with Kasondra to select drapery for our space and were impressed by her attention to detail and knowledge of the Shade Store products. For example, she knew how the fabrics would look in different lights and with various linings (she was aware that one white fabric would actually look pink with a white lining - which we would have obviously never known on our own). Kasondra also communicated throughout the entire process, which we appreciated. She emailed when the order was in, when it was meant to arrive, and on installation day (just to see how things were going). This level of support was exactly what we needed to feel comfortable selecting window treatments for our home. Kasondra also made herself available via phone and email for questions. If I ever called Kasondra and got her voicemail, she'd contact me quickly afterwards to follow up. The Shade Store products are exceptional quality, and the support that Kasondra provided was amazing.

Victoria Gibbs: Please avoid this store by all means. Worst experience ever. You pay high price to cover the salaries of huge number of incompetent staff and patchy services. The Shade Store does lots of marketing but doesn't care about customer needs. Worst, worst experience and never never use this ever again.

S Thomas: I chose the Shade Store based on their professionalism and the options for shades. The process was quick (exception of install - delays). Philippa was a great sales person and showed me options and I appreciate that I was shown a rendering of what they would look like. This was a good selling point. The only reason I didn't make this a 5 star review because when my white shades were installed the installation guy had dirt marks on my shades. He mentioned using a magic eraser to remove them, I thought he was going to do that but I noticed he left them on there. I was able to remove the dirt marks with the magic eraser after he left. There were several areas I had to clean off. Other than that, they look great.

Gina Ziegler: From beginning to end.. The Shade Store was the best customer service experience I have had in a long time. The product line will make you drool, Jessica in the Georgetown store totally "got me" and helped me make a quick and perfect choice. Sarah Smith: I haven't actually been to the Georgetown store but this is a review of the company itself. I don't think I've ever dealt with a more helpful company. They are incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and responsive from the people at the store to the customer service people to the service people they send out to the house. I have had endless negative experiences with work done on my house and they have been the exception. I didn't even buy my original shades through them, I bought them through a third party they no longer work with and they managed to find all my information and help me through the whole process of fixing and replacing some shades. Thank you! I will always order from Shade Store in the future.

Best of all was the fantastic and friendly employees. Brent Robertson: Incompetence from start to finish. Scheduled a measurement from 8-10AM on a workday. No show. No call. No follow up. Just two hours of my time wasted. I had to call corporate line where I was “helped” by a gentleman who offered little-to-no apology. Verbatim quote - “Yeah, so, I called the store and they said there was, a uh, issue that uh, came up. Sorry.” Shade Store? More like...Nothing Store.

Chris Sliger: My wife and I had couldn’t be happier with our remote controlled roller shades. Tom patiently put up with our indecision and Tim measured on-site multiple times. In the end it all came together with a great product. We really appreciate the awesome customer service from everyone we dealt with.

Jeannine Alter: This company is fantastic. We had our H&D roller blinds installed five years ago, and they are beautiful and have made our apartment lovely. This week, I needed to have two of the blinds removed because we were having new windows installed. I called Mike, the owner of Window Wears, for advice as to how to uninstall the blinds. He was great over the phone and took me through a step-by-step process on how to do it. I had one glitch, however, with a stubborn blind that would not pop out, so he came over to my apartment and did it himself! It was definitely above and beyond and the very reason why we use local businesses like this one. Many thanks, Mike.

Kevin Kline: My wife and I have worked with Paul many times and he has designed several of our window treatments in our home. We recently hired Couvrant to design and install our living room and foyer entrance windows. Paul has a very talented eye for what will work, and his care in making sure the designs he presents will be to our taste and liking, is both professional and top of the line. If he ever thought about renaming his company, he should call it "WOW" because that's what everyone says when they come into our home and see his work. His installers are top notch, very professional and have extreme attention to detail. Paul and Couvrant get 5 Stars every time !! Thank you for another amazing job!!

Donna Taurman: It was so refreshing to work with Paul of Couvrant because he listened to me but still guided me. Hard to explain but you just know when someone gets it. Tom Clark: I was nervous picking out blinds for my first home but Paul made it really easy. It was about as fun of an experience as possible. The rest of the process was quite smooth and the installer took care of measuring and installing. 7/2/2022 Update: Second project completed and installed without a hitch. There was a factory delay and something had to be shipped twice due to shipping damage, but it looks so great installed, so who cares!!

Shelley Smith: UPDATE: After I posted my review, Aimee contacted me to schedule adjustments to the blinds that were made too long. While we declined this most generous offer, it’s nice to know there are still companies willing to go the extra mile to make things right! Kudos, Couvrant! We absolutely LOVE our blinds, especially the honeycomb blinds Zee recommended for the living room! We were very happy with Zee, the service she provided and recommendations she made. The gentleman that came with her to take measurements was also awesome, as he entertained our rather rambunctious dog while Zee and I toured the house for the measurements. (I apologize for not remembering his name!) We were also happy with the gentleman that completed the installation. The only surprise we had was the blinds for the front windows in the two bedrooms were made to reach the floor, but the windows don’t go to the floor. This didn’t cause us any distress and we will most definitely use Couvrant again, should we need window treatments!

Stacy Lemery: Having a West Elm accessible to bus and metro lines is great for residents of the DC area. There is always lots more online, but being able to see the quality of bedding, furniture, etc in person makes a big difference. I have purchased a bed, bedding, hallway shelving, a shoe rack, curtains, candle holders, and other decor from West Elm.

Ms.: I love the items in the store. Very stylish and very unique. 2 full floors of sofas, pillows, dishes, pot holders, baskets, wall decor and more. Easy to stay in store and "look"..sure to find an item for your home or gift for another. Can't really talk about customer service except to say no one acknowledged or ask me did I need help to find an item. I was on my own..succeed

Eric Overton: Staff at this store were basically useless and didn’t seem to know much about the products for sale. Fortunately, I was only there to test a floor model before buying online. Shipping was fast with only two weeks between purchase and delivery. Delivery dudes were both prompt and chill.

Geneva: I was wary of buying from this store based on some of the reviews here; however, after a year of searching for the right sectional, I found the perfect one for me at West Elm. I received good service from the store. The sales person was very clear that my sectional - which I bought in November for a nice discount - would not arrive until early January. As promised, I got calls and emails from the delivery department the second week of January and was able to schedule a date that worked for me. The two delivery guys were amazing - they had to maneuver their big truck down a narrow alley to get to the loading dock. They were professional and efficient and out of my apartment in less than 15 minutes. The sectional is exactly what I wanted and so comfortable.

MIchael Wright: Prices are unnecessarily high, since the doors are left open during warm weather, thus requiring more energy for A/C,, which also incrementally contributes to climate-changing emissions. So, not the shop for customers who either don't like higher prices or want to help the environment.

Angela Garcia: STAY AWAY FROM WEST ELM. It's customer service is the worst, they won't ever deliver your items on time, they won't care and won't do anything about their mistakes with your order....it is just not worth it. I have received the wrong item TWICE (which honestly I don't understand how they can mess up the size of a piece which is clearly stated in their website other than it should have never been offered there in the first place because it doesn't exist). Now I'm stuck with an item which is not the one I ordered, and west elm won't care to pick it up and complete the return. THIS BRAND IS A JOKE.

Joe C.: Thus far, we've had nothing but a good experience working with west elm. The store associate we worked with was knowledgeable, professional, and personable, and really helped us choose the best option for our apartment. Our furniture won't arrive for a while, but we'll eagerly await it! The store itself was clean and well-organized.

Jonathan Mullen: Some nice stuff. Seems overpriced for what it is. Similar to Crate and Barrel.Joybird is just down the street and offers higher quality furniture at a better price.

Annapurna Mitra: The worst delivery experience I have encountered. I ordered a dining table and four chairs, with in-home delivery. The chairs were sent via UPS, not assembled, and with no explanation despite paying $250 for in-home delivery. I live alone, and there are 7 pages of assembly instructions requiring two people. I have no way of doing this, and am left with a living room like a furniture warehouse. On the other hand, the dining table, which was ready 10 days ago, and I had asked the customer service to wait and schedule an appointment for all items together is yet to arrive. I cannot find a way to schedule anything on the website, and on the phone I can not find a way to talk to a human being. I have received no response to my email. If I could give zero stars I would.

Sarah Gunel: Customer service was super here! All of the sales associates were helpful, but not pushy. They were also pleasant (happy). After we returned home from our shopping, I realize that I left my daughter's hat there. I called and the woman who answered the phone said she would mail it to me. I was incredibly impressed with their customer service. I would definitely return to this store!

Margo S: Prompt. Easy. Not intimidating or pressuring. Roslyn is friendly, but all business. She carries a HUGE selection of materials and brands and styles. She is knowledge, but doesn’t tell you what would look good, rather she provides suggestions based on the needs and preferences you give her, and then modifies the suggestions based on your reactions to her initial suggestions, and she tells you if something might not work as well and why, all of which worked well for me. Timely appointments. Installation was quick, and clean. Prices are average.

Katherine Veale: the easiest process of choosing blinds, and they came in at a price much less than I expected. Brandon Hoffman: I contacted Budget Blinds after learning that a company we previously used had went out of business. Luckily, the Budget Blinds team was very responsive to my inquiry to install new blinds in my DC home. The appointment was confirmed and a calendar invite with all the details was kindly sent to me for the scheduled evaluation with Roslyn. I received a reminder the day before our meeting as well, and Roslyn was a joy to work with. She expertly measured all spaces and provided me with a detailed list of materials and finishes. Roslyn made quick work of the job, and we were both on our way less than 30 minutes later. The company sent me a formal written quote the next day, and we immediately knew the prices were very reasonable. We contracted them a day later and manufacturing took exactly three weeks to complete. Eric came to install the new blinds, and I was happily surprised by the quality of materials and magnetic fasteners. He also made quick work of the installs and completed each in just a few minutes. I'm a big proponent of the US Mail and I have no beef with UPS. But, they often don’t work well together and the handoff makes for significant delays. If you're going big box for online shopping, stick with Walmart/Target/Amazon or better yet, support a local business.

Patrick: The people working do not wear the masks appropriately - mouth covered, nose not. One employee was kind enough to put more disinfectant wipes for the carts after asked him to. Cool products and great place to get small sized items for travel.

This chair has great sentimental value for me so I was especially grateful for their expertise on this piece. I recommend them without reservation.

Their customer service is very good and they pay attention to schedules, but it requires you to be not in a hurry, reason due to good work takes time. Gitika Kaul: I’m so saddened by my experience with the shade store in Potomac. I’ve been dealing with them now for 6 months and I’ve been through 2 different sales associates. Their customer care is pretty poor, the follow up is nearly non existent, they had to send someone out 2x for measures and still didn’t get everything we needed measured. I’ve been trying to order from them now for over a month and can’t get anyone to return my call or email. I don’t know how they are in business. I expect more when I am purchasing expensive window coverings. I’m going to have to start from scratch with another company due to their lack of response. Doesn’t give me a lot of faith in their product if their service is so poor. I so wanted this to work. I’m not a regular review writer but they have not gotten back to me despite repeated attempts I figure this May finally get their attention. Not terribly hopeful frankly!

LaToya Conner: Please check your receipts. I had the young lady do a price check and she never took the item off. I called today and Liz, a manager, was very rude and hung up on me. Not only do I have to request a formal compliant, now I have to spend time and additional money to right the way I was wronged. They can pull cameras, look at inventory, or just plain ask the young lady at Checkout to verify the experience. I’m very disappointed seeing the amount of money I spend here. I pray everyone has a better experience.

Don Malnati: Nice store, The sales clerks are helpful, but there aren't very many of them. I knew that Macy's sold the perfume that my wife wanted, so I just dashed in, was directed to where I could find it, and purchased it along with a nice gift bag. They have a large variety of things, the gift bags were really inexpensive. A good shopping experience!

Muniba Khan: Stopped by from out of town since the weather ended up being a lot colder than expected. We were able to find some winter wear for a reasonable price, although I wish they had a wider selection of warm coats and some gloves for these cold fronts. Everyone that helped us was super great and friendly!

Charmaine Hurst: I'm from Philadelphia and the Macy's in Washington DC is much better looking inside! Brighter lights,the women's clothing layout displays of colors style,etc. That makes you want to be there and shop and look around. Brighter lights and the white painted walls helps to be a pleasant experience and welcoming. Clean lines and spaces makes it look larger. It is better looking than the Macy's in downtown Philadelphia where it is gloomy looking and old looking.It need a upgrade!

Kristen Ashworth: Had a lot of fun at Macy's while we were on vacation in DC! A perfect way to spend a rainy day on a girl's trip... or any time we needed a little retail therapy ;) . Their shoe and purse department is expansive and most of our purchases were marked down substantially. They even have a section for dogs - good quality dog toys for cheap prices! Dominee in the shoe department was extremely helpful and attentive for all the shoes we tried on - super fast getting sizes, kept us laughing, and went above and beyond to help us!

Michael Anderson: I enjoyed walking around the store window shopping for new items. They was a pretty good selection but thank goodness I wear a popular size or I would have purchased the whole store! I may go back to the Macy's near my home to do some wardrobe updating in the near future.

Jacqueline Francis: I went with my daughter to return a sport jacket and to look around for any new items. My daughter met her former coworker who was kind enough to assist with her return. The experience painless and without incident. After the return, we made our to the children department. My daughter wanted to see if there anything new out for babies 18-24 months. There were some times, but nothing much that caught her. My grandson did grab a footsie pajama and my daughter saw a cute pair of sneakers and a tee shirt. Very cute 😍! The checkout rep was very friendly, and he was the manager. Overall, a great experince🙏🙏🙏

C Meadows: Terrible customer service in their furniture department. The gentleman that "helped" me didn't seem to have a clue what he was doing. I asked him questions he couldn't answer so he said he would check with his supervisor and then call or text me the next day. He never did. When I came back to the store three days later he was rude to me about the situation. Shop online to avoid the poor customer service.

Susan Marich: Signs are tough to find. Feels like a fire hazard. Terrible service. Four clerks at the perfume counter just stood around talking and would not acknowledge I needed assistance. I looked for a clerk on several floors ( no one around) and the up escalators didnt work; 4th floor before I found a clerk who would help. The worst! I ended up leaving and spent my money elsewhere. Some people don't need a job I guess.

Cherisse Pais: This store is a disaster. None of the suitcases had prices on them, so I had to hunt down a cashier to find out how much one was, who was MASK-LESS the entire time, not to mention completely incompetent. She ended up charging me when all I wanted was a price check. And then she tried to talk me out of processing a refund, insisting that is was a good deal (it wasn’t). Absolutely not worth going here! It’s gone so far downhill.

Shayna Deverman: Dirty, unorganized, extremely low stock on everything. Items thrown everywhere, picked over. Shoe isle was a disgrace. Nice they have an “Ulta”, but very limited items. Took me several minutes to figure out where body wash was. Haircare, travel, makeup is all grouped together in the front/middle-like typical but body wash/deodorant was clear on the end of the store. Terrible flow. All that looking and they had very limited washes! Men’s selection had more to choose from. Went in there with a very basic list and got one thing on it… my nearest Walgreens was more helpful…disappointing since I love me a Target trip. I won’t be back to this one.

Most people do self checkout bc line passes fast, so don't be intimidated if it's long. Idk choose your adventure. Shoe section looks a litttle crazy in the afternoons, but that's consistent with the behaviors/type of people who live here lmao. Moving too fast, not putting stuff back, lowkey entitled ahaha

This was at almost noon. Look at how few dairy products are on the shelf. Staff continued to prove unhelpful. I asked four different employees where a type of product was and they each told me to find someone who worked in that dept. OR they just told me they “probably don’t have it” WITHOUT even looking or bothering to find where it should be!! They tried to walk off but I said I am not satisfied until we find the shelf where it should be, and I’ve been looking for fifteen minutes. Took all of that to get some help finding one little thing.

Ted Socha: Ever since this Target added self-checkout, they've relied solely on it. At most, they open only one regular checkout line if self-checkout gets long. Better off going to the CVS across the street. 10/7/19 update: this place either needs to solve their self-checkout problem or open up more than one regular cash register

Sade Wilson: I was shopping today at the Washington D.C target store and was purchasing gift for my family I found some nice things and for a really good price. I went to check out and the items were ringing up different from what the price was upstairs I explained to the cashier he called for a manager. The manager name tiffany came and refuse to change the price the for two of the items but change it for the other too items. I continue checking out because I didn’t want to wait to long after I was done checking out I went upstairs to take pictures to show the manger she still refuse and walk away.

Donna Walker: Buyers we aware the prices in Target are going up every week and its terrible and make sure you know the prices of your items because the shelf price and the register price can be different at times. Security was following me for no reason so I had t let him know you are following the wrong person. I catch more people stealing at Target and I do not work there. Also, some of the employees are so rude. I will be recording my conversations with the employees when I need to ask for help as proof of how rude some of them can be.

Mary T.: Helpful customer service, and wonderful selection. A very enjoyable shopping experience. Would come back! Only negative was one employee, possibly a manager, Lisa. The associate checking us out asked her for help, she came over obviously annoyed with him then ignored us standing directly in front of her. This male associate was kind, friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to help us. It bothered me that she would treat him this way, especially in front of customers. Maybe she was having a day or was exhausted but it was off putting.

Noah Merlin: Here is why you should never buy a piece of furniture that is "In Stock" at Crate & Barrel again: - My wife and I were looking for two swivel chairs in stock, so we could get them relatively soon and not wait the insane lead times that all new furniture has right now. - We went to Crate & Barrel on 12/24/21: Our sales rep at Crate & Barrel told us our two Drew Swivel chairs were both in stock (~$1,900 total for the two). - We decided to purchase the two chairs on the basis they were in stock. We were told they would be delivered in two weeks (two weeks from 12/24 is 1/7/22). - On 1/5 we received an email that they were being delayed and would be delivered in mid January. We called the store because we thought it was odd that items that are in stock in the warehouse could be delivered. When calling in, we were told that the items actually were not in stock. They offered us a $150 gift card once the item was delivered to make up for it. I did not accept, but they weren't willing to do anything else. - Every two weeks our item was delayed longer, and we were sent an email saying the items would be delivered two weeks later. - This morning, on 2/22/22, we received an email, stating the delivery would be in early March. It has been delayed for two months now, when we had a two-week lead time. So I sent an email to customer support, stating that I would like a 50% refund. Instead of reaching out to me, they emailed me to let me know my order has been cancelled and I have been provided a refund. I have now waited since 12/24/21 (two months) since the order. I have no swivel chairs. I have no order. I now need to begin the search for chairs all over again. I called support at the store, they said they couldn't do anything and I needed to contact corporate. I contacted corporate, and Elaine tried to explain to me that it was my fault for not reading the receipt and that it didn't matter what the sales rep said to deceive my wife and myself into buying these chairs which never came. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THIS STORE. Crate & Barrel has now admitted to me several times that they have an inventory system bug that makes it so they do not know when an item is in stock or not. This could be true, or they might use it as an excuse for predatory business practices, intentionally misleading consumers into making purchases they may not otherwise. If it is true, they do not account for their errors and expect the consumer to pay for it instead. Goodbye Crate & Barrel forever.

Leo Sheridan: Liz D. came to my rescue when a 3rd party courier service lost a Christmas present! I can't say enough about how professional she was throughout the entire dramatic ordeal. Liz honestly saved Christmas. I've been a customer of Crate for quite some time. I even worked for the company many moons ago. I was astounded by how swiftly Liz handled everything, and she did it during THE MOST busiest time of year!

Jennifer Lee: Very nice community type center for shopping Crate and Barrel is great some nice restaurants and parking if you want to pay for it. It is near American University so you see lots of students around and lots of pedestrians. It's right off Massachusetts avenue so it is bus accessible only as far as public transportation.

Vishal Sinha: This is another good location for Crate and Barrel. The only negative shopping here is the scant parking options. Once you are in the store, the experience is worth the parking issue. The store is laid out well making shopping a good experience. It's hard not to buy more than what we had in mind! The staff is friendly and always ready to help answer any questions. The selection at that store is quite good and we like the products sold here. Or kitchen is stocked with many of the essentials from Crate and Barrel!

They've done a great job in modern design. If follow-up services mean anything to you, such as eventually replacing sofa cushions, you need to find another place. Any form of follow up requires months of chasing down, pleading and disappointment.

Ardavan Tookaloo: Very modern and beautiful. I like this place a lot. You will never walk out empty handed.

So today i go buy the skate the price is the same i get to ✔ out the guy goes the price is 29.98 im like no they are wrong so i asked him to fix honor the price he said he can not do it the manager comes show me a picture if you want the item i go take the pic waited in line again another cahier tried to help but the first cashier said no I have the transaction on hold. So i kept on waiting them it was only one person behind me and he said i cannot do it go to customer services. I go he said to customer i have a big line i was like really. Ok finally thay send me back to the manager and she did not ask for the pic or anything and charged me 29.98. But before this she said to the customer service do not come with that. Anyway she was not even wearing the mask properly she had it on her neck. I end up returning the item and got the price at customer service with a DIFFERENT cashier after 3 different lines. taqueya spriggs: I experienced very poor customer service. My family and I shopped here for the first time a week ago and the cashier who rung the father of my children's items began yelling at him because he realized after placing his items on the belt that he forgot to pick up an item that he needed in the aisle. Thereafter, the cashier began shouting for him to return to the checkout counter to complete his transaction because the store was closing soon. I for one don't have a problem with store personnel explaining to me that I am unable to go back to the aisles to select additional items to purchase because closing time is vastly approaching, but it's how you talk to people. Not to mention store security personnel tried to intimate myself and the father of my children in front of them as if he wanted to arrest us. He also became antagonizing by ordering another patron nearby to pull out his phone to video record him throwing me out of the store when I had no involvement with the incident that transpired between the cashier and my significant other. I will never shop at this location again and retail workers should be mindful of their tone and demeanor with customers because my significant other was not being confrontational, disorderly, or destroying property after being publicly humiliated in front of everyone in the store for no apparent reason. This kind of behavior is shameful and despicable and I was mortified. I am a regular shopper of Walmart corporations and I spent a lot money that day and do not deserve to be treated like a common criminal. With everything going on in the world and due to poor customer service and lack of respect for others, I think retailers should convert their services over to online shopping. This way customers can still reap the benefits of shopping without the having to potentially endure poor customer service. In the future Amazon will get all of my business.

Keshia Wideman: The absolute worst customer service ever. The store manager Patrick is non responsive to the lack of professionalism and ethics of the staff concerning, customers concerns/complaints. They are definitely a representation of his leadership and it shows. He doesn’t follow up on cooperates complaints, and the store is not organized properly at times. They don’t honor price misplaced items, and the cashiers are sarcastic, and rude at times. Crystal has been there awhile and can be rude and dismissive. I had to address her , and others about their rude, unethical behavior.

Michael Perez: If Purgatory exists, this Walmart will be a level. The place was clean and had an organization known to them. Not like any I've ever visited (and I've had the pleasure...to visit more than a few) but I'm sure when you've done your penance of shopping here a few times you get used to it. What really sets this store apart from the others is the stylistic hell that is the checkout process. 7 lanes with at least 9 patrons each. Cashiers that appear to be participating in a slow-down strike (and if they are, my hat's off to them and their cause). And at least 3 arguments between customers that verged on World Star territory. I will say that the curbside personnel were a little more engaged in their work.

Meghan Elizabeth: Grey hair lady at self checkout needs to find a different job or just retire. There is no reason an employee, especially one of her age, should be treating customers so poorly and getting a major attitude at anyone who is just trying to find a register that is working. If machines need fixed they need to kindly tell people to wait. Not be rude, make a scene and glare at everyone who is waiting to checkout. Who lets these kind of people work here???? Please consider getting some kind employees for self checkout. 04/25/22 6:00 pm

It feels like a compressed home goods store, but maybe the aisles are just more narrow or something. Richard Jackson: As always, my wife loves this place. You have to know when to go, and when you go, if you see something that you like, do not wait. It will be gone when you come back.

Xevian: Best selections among all locations. Staff is so helpful especially Jordan. He is so friendly and patient. Not only he helped me to find what I need, he also helped me to load my car. He is so amazing to the point that I insist him taking the tip I offered. I will come back again. Employee like him deserves a raise.

Tom Conway: This is a good place to buy stuff for your house. It’s cheap, and there is a lot of variety. Most likely, though, you’re ultimately going to find yourself going somewhere else if you’re looking to do more than just add a few pieces here and there.

She had an attitude and wasn’t pleasant at all. I feel bad for the people that have to work with her, the employees seemed like they had to tiptoe around her.

Marshall (MRJ56): I have gone into other HomeGood locations and this one had to have the worse inventory of all. I was looking for a nice casual set of dining dishes. There was not one complete set in the store to choose from. I will not waste my time going back to this location!!!

Austin Graff: If you want more affordable home goods (or really anything), head to HomeGoods in Potomac Yards. It's in a massive complex with many other stores including a Target, Staples, Michael's, Best Buy and other shops. Because of that, there are multiple fast casual restaurants nearby like Cava and a massive parking lot with plenty of space. This HomeGoods is large with sections for home goods, travel items, dishware, etc. As my wife shops, my toddler and I head to the kids section. They have a surprisingly good section of toys for all kinds of kids. It keeps my toddler entertained for a long time. There's usually a line at check out, but it moves fast!

Tilly Lo: This location has a lot of stuff! More than most locations that i shopped at. Packed, stacked everywhere. Not sure if it's the employees or the shoppers, the items are not neatly organized like the other locations. For example: photo frames are stacked on top of each other, and this increases the chance of the items getting scratched or broken.

Tanjiro Nezuko: They really have everything you could possibly need for your apartment. I got an apartment not too long ago and I came to purchase new everything. My friends live around this area and they said it was the best home goods they knew. The prices were insane, and let me tell ya, it’s super easy to lose sight of your budget haha! Can’t wait for my friends to visit from overseas

Keith Arthurs: The cashier here fraudulently issued a credit card in my name. Went to Homegoods this weekend. Cashier asked if I wanted a 10% discount. I said, if it is a credit card, no. I do not want a credit card. She insisted, it is just a discount program, not a credit card. She said, there is one that is a credit card, and one that is not and she would sign me up for the discount program that is not a credit card. I said OK. Through the process it seemed to ask questionable questions, so I asked about a half dozen times during the process, and she insisted it is not a credit card. I always responded, OK because I do not want a credit card. I got an experian alert telling me TJ Maxx (parent of Homegoods) pulled my credit for a TJ Maxx credit card. This is serious fraud, having credit pulled lowers credit score. This should not be happening, I did not approve of receiving, or signing up, for a credit card. Seems like as a store, they push employees to sign people up for credit cards. In this case, without the customer's permission.

April Moyo: Able to find many things here at good prices and good quality. It's easy to get overwhelmed with some of the choices but with a list, I've been able to find what I need without much hassle 😌 🙂. Sales associates are very friendly as well.

I think if I were to wish for one thing out of the homegoods franchise it would be to have less 'damaged goods' for sale in the store. It seems that a large portion of the items for sale have cosmetic or structural flaws. It's always heartbreaking to find a beautiful piece of furniture only to inspect more closely and find it has damage.

Kev- keepingitreal: This Walmart offers Capital City Mambo Sauce, Fruits, Vegetables, Seafood, Poultry, Dairy and all sorts of Household Items. This Walmart needs to improve its Elevator services, only two out three of the elevators are working, it would be nice if they removed one of the elevator and replace it with stairs that lead customers from the parking garage to the street level and to Walmart store level for easy access. The current stairs only give customer access from the street level to Walmart store and no access to the parking garage. This Walmart includes a Pharmacy and free two hours of parking in the parking garage. This store has shopping carts available in the store and in the garage areas.

Mirka Mendez: It's Walmart, there are no grocery stores nearby (that I know) so it's an option. Smaller than the usual supercenter, very small produce section. There was an approximately 10 min wait at every registers when I visited.

PaulDavid Morado: Not exactly the best side of town. It is Walmart so all things that go with Walmart come along with this place. It's not close to any Metro station so be prepared for a walk is it on the other side of Chinatown. Excellent place for fruits and vegetables in all things grocery but be prepared also to bring your own bags as there seems to be carts missing

Aminah Imani: Its conveniently located but not the best Walmart to be in. The customers were loud and the security with large bullet proof vests doesn’t make it a welcoming vibe. Grab your products and head out quick. They do validate parking and leave patience for the slow running elevators. The employees were helpful and efficient. This location isn’t my preference but it gets the job done when in dire need.

Sassy Sauce: Mixed experience with this store. It’s a good location and there is parking available in the underground garage. First 2 hours are free. The store has items locked in a case that I couldn’t understand. For example, women’s underwear and some personal hygiene items. Also, the store wasn’t too crowded while I was there and the associate I asked to help me gave me clear directions as to what aisle the product I needed would on. The parts of the store I visited were clean and the overall shopping experience was ok. No major complaints. Just strange observations about profits being locked behind glass.

C. Zed: Well it exists, that I appreciate. I’ll continue to shop here. The cashiers scan items more than once, has already happened twice for me. The store is small and often too messy. The aisles are narrow, and the carts are way too big for the store. Many items are locked behind cases. Could be a better experience, especially for the closest location to the US Capitol.

Which is fine if you like to DIY but there shouldn't be so little cashiers that you turn the customers into employees and shoppers at the same time. Some people go shopping for the experience of the human interaction they have buying their things, having someone else ring it up is part of the experiences. Stop cutting corners your customers are not happy with it trust me

Van D Peluche: Terrible terrible. Twice I have ordered online groceries and the first time I did not get it until an hour later and the second time I didn’t get it until a day later than the scheduled period. Absolutely awful. Plus no one in any department answers phone calls. And their produce is very poor quality. May as well not even have the grocery delivery service. Will not even notify about orders being held for the next day.

Harriet Saulsbury: Love shopping at Walmart, some of the eorker are rude ask them a question they always say its not my department and walk away. Another thing as many seniors and disable people shopping there on a daily basis you only have maybe 10 electric scooters for the entire store which is a super store but you have maybe only 2 scooters working. You also took away your seating you have in the lobby of the stores where are we supposed to sit and wait on rides and family members to finish shopping?

Shitaye Mamo: Me and my entire family comes to this location at least two times a week and spend a good amount of money buying things we love. Tonight, on 04/13/22, was by far the worst experience I ever had with the store manager Greg! We brought a toy to the registry that doesn't have any price tag on it, we asked if we can purchase it. Since there was no price, the customer service rep Azeb called Greg for price, his first response was that he can't sell it because the toy comes as a set with another toy, (which is understandable). My sister explained to him that my 3 year old daughter found the toy from the clearance area and there was nothing around it, we asked if we can see the set so we can purchase it for her, but Greg said that "we only have 5 minutes and I don't think that YOU will find any toy in 5 minutes" What? Clearly, we don't know what kind of set the toy comes with, that why he was called to help with the price, we didn't even know it was a set, until he mentioned it. He refused to even check, he said he has to prepare to close the store in 5 minutes and he can't help us! he took the toy away from my 3 years old and left my daughter crying, the customer service rep was still ringing the items we were burying, the least he can do was to check and see if the set was available - in the system or at the clearance area- but he couldn't even do that. I have never seen this type of customer service from a MANAGER. This location was and still is my favorite location to shop but tonight experience was the worst ever. Very disappointed!!!!

I want to give a shout out to Kimmy, Mary, Gladys and Kevin Chow. Kevin in particular has made me feel like a valued customer and I will be a customer for life at this location because of him. Today we had a very poor experience with Laila. She does not value customers and does not treat them with respect. We were super disappointed.
