He was always accessible and helped us through planning and postponing due to Covid. We were able to work with him for our micro wedding in 2020 and then again in 2021 for our bigger wedding - both occasion gave us the most amazing pictures that are now framed throughout out house. We hired Chris to capture some fun moments of us at our original wedding venue and some other spots around town. Once at our wedding venue (DAR), Chris captured us at our best. He focused on all the best angles, lighting, background, etc. Chris made us look better than we did on our wedding day! Man, we wish we hired him almost 6 years ago! We even brought our dog along for the photo shoot and Chris made sure to capture our pup in just the right light so he could shine too! Again, I wish we had met Chris years ago because our wedding photos would have been 100x times better.

Jennifer Spencer: My fiancé and I found Chris Ferenzi photography after a thorough web search. We liked his style and I was immediately drawn to his work. When I look at his photos I see a fresh perspective; crisp, clean pictures that look real and in the moment. I emailed Chris’ about his service and availability on a late Friday afternoon and he responded in less than two hours! Prior to booking our wedding date, Chris and I spoke over the phone for about an hour. I gave him our background “story,” what we were looking for in a photographer, and of course what type of final products we wanted. I was undecided about how many actual pictures to purchase and if we should order a book, etc., and Chris help walked me through the options and let me make decisions along the way. Evan Anthony: We hired Sam as the photographer for our wedding in Haymarket, VA, and he was simply amazing and a true professional. Sam photographed our engagement session as well as the wedding. Working with him for our engagement shoot, and seeing the results only furthered our excitement to work with Sam for our wedding. It is hard to put into words how happy we are after working with him. One thing that we love about Sam is his amazing eye for phenomenal shots. This is very evident after looking through his work. We decided to work with Sam after a phone call where we learned more about him, and expressed the vision for our wedding. In addition to shots after the ceremony, Sam brought us outside for pictures during sunset, as well as moonlit pictures towards the end of the night. The Mbimbas: We had the best time during our engagement session with Sam! We were so nervous, but his calm presence made us so comfortable and we were laughing the whole time. He was professional and on time even though he had to drive all the way to Delaware! We love our photos so much and cannot wait for him to shoot our big day. Shikha Chaurasia: We had our engagement photoshoot with Mantas, and it went fantastically! He made it easy for us to be ourselves, and we felt the pictures managed to capture not just us, but our personalities. This lended itself to a rather unique invitation that we were happy with (the back included a picture of us chasing some geese). Our photoshoot was in a garden on a sunny day, I was wearing my favorite yellow dress… the photos are so wonderfully colorful! And yet one of our favorites happened to be a black and white one, I guess he’s just that good. Mantas also makes very creative use of the “props” available (geese that happened to be around, chairs that happened to be empty, an interesting perspective taken through a welcome sign that happened to be there). Definitely would recommend him!

Lisa L: WOW! Just WOW! Had to schedule a graduation photo shoot from Texas for my daughter in DC. Not only did Damon make every step so easy but after talking with him on the phone and getting to know him a bit I was even more excited to work with him. He is exceptional...Literally, no other way to describe him. His work style, sense of humor, creativity, patience, you name it are all incredible. The pics we received were outstanding too! Keep in mind that we had no easy task for him... juggling a blended family, a morning when bad weather threatened and a senior pup, he juggled it all effortlessly and made for one of the best and most fun photo sessions I have ever been a part of. I had initially chosen Damon based on the ratings on here and boy they did not let me down. I arrived for my headshot session and he was friendly, accommodating and explained the whole process to me as this was my first headshot experience. Melinda Rutan: Working with Liz was amazing- she made our 2020 Micro-Wedding feel like the full experience thing! We got so many wonderful images back that we will cherish forever. Every person who attended stated how wonderful an fun Liz was! She took the time to go through so many poses and backdrops and got pictures of anything and everything we wanted. Even though our wedding plans had to change due to the pandemic Liz was accommodating and make the day the most special it could be. She was easy going and so much fun to work with! Any couple would be LUCKY to have her for their special event photos. She made us laugh and captured so many beautiful moments. We received our photos back so fast and were able to share them with all of those who were not able to attend. When you hire Liz you will not have to worry about a single thing- she has you covered! Leanna Pomponio: I hired Liz for my DC wedding in August 2018. Liz is extremely responsive, professional, personable, and produces the highest quality photography. I had no idea how much planning goes into the photography portion of the wedding (timeline, shot list, backup weather plans, transportation timing, etc.) and I am so lucky to have had Liz help guide me through this process – she was always a phone call away whenever I needed to run something by her. Liz first did our engagement shoot –Liz was extremely accommodating and rescheduled multiple times to try and catch the DC cherry blossoms at their peak. I am so happy we did the engagement shoot with her first – this allowed us to get to know one another and get used to posing. I’d say it was most important for my now husband who isn’t one to want to take lots of photos – he loved Liz and I felt like he could have kept going with the pictures all day. Now on to the wedding day photos – I’m overwhelmed with which photos to choose for my wedding album because I love them all; she also provides every photo in both color and B&W. Liz made everyone feel comfortable – my family, friends, etc. during the formal shoots outside in front of the Capitol. Whenever I’d start to worry about timeline, Liz eased my nerves and told me that was not my concern and we are on track. Having Liz by my side all day ended up being more beneficial/comforting than my day of coordinator – she even helped us figure out how to bustle my dress when we were struggling. Liz was on a mission to make sure we got all of the photos I requested in my shot list and yet Liz & her assistant photographer were hardly noticeable during the ceremony and reception (which is the way it should be!). I was worried about the reception pictures since it was outside at night with dim lighting but the pictures came out clear and bright. Liz provides first look engagement and wedding photos within a few weeks after the shoot and then full photos a few weeks later – she was never late on any date she told me she would have the photos by. Her online album to view the photos is great and makes it easy to share with others and download the photos in different resolutions. If you are looking for a photographer that takes pride in their work, has a sense of humor, takes the time to get to know you and customize the experience to what is most important to you, and of course – produces stunning high quality photography at a reasonable price– then Liz is your girl.
Kaitlin Bigger: Liz is an incredible photographer, and wonderful person to have on your team as you plan your wedding. She was so supportive when our plans began to change due to the coronavirus pandemic. Liz is professional and prompt, and did an excellent job keeping our wedding on schedule and capturing every meaningful moment. Liz also took our engagement photos at the tidal basin during peak bloom of the cherry blossoms. She captured the natural beauty of that area so perfectly, and made us feel very comfortable in front of her camera. We will cherish those photos for many years to come. I truly cannot say enough nice things about Liz, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer that they can trust and depend on to not only deliver incredible photos, but to also make sure that your wedding day is everything you imagined and more.

Miriam Richardson: Kate made the whole shoot a truly FUN experience. Kate was so comfortable to be around, and her personality made it easy to be ourselves! She had the best attention to detail. Not only is she an excellent photographer but she truly cares about her clients, which showed in how she paid attention to detail like fixing a stray hair or a wrinkled shirt. Amanda Lewis: Y’all, when all is said and done, no one on earth will have taken more professional photos of my husband and I than Katie will! We found Katie after the photographer that we hired originally, arrived to our engagement session WITHOUT a camera. I was frantic! I was 6 months out from our wedding and concerned that we would have trouble finding an open date with someone new, but Katie responded and was able to not only able to cover our wedding date, but VERY quickly fit us in for a mini engagement session. And then COVID hit and our wedding was cancelled...we rescheduled and Katie was able to cover the new date...AND THEN THAT WEDDING GOT CANCELLED TOO!! We have a new wedding date again for the FOURTH TIME, so we can do it up right, and Katie will be there. Jenny Pozinsky: Let me begin by saying that we could not have made a better decision than to have Potok’s World Photography capture our wedding day. Pete and Anji checked off every single box for us… quality of work, responsiveness, likeability, etc. We fell in love with their style as soon as we laid eyes on their online portfolio. Their quality of work was apparent, so we were already more than interested… and this is before we got to know them. Pete and Anji’s work is nothing short of remarkable, but we were so happy to find out that as good of photographers that they are, they are even better people! We got to know Pete and Anji through a number of zoom meetings before the wedding and they just made us SO comfortable. They are easy to talk to, and their banter with one another is charming. They are such a fun and loving couple, and they work very well together. They acted as an extension of our wedding party, and were so effortless in their ability to capture all our special moments, we didn’t even know they were there! Total pros. We were blown away when we received our album, and our families went nuts about every single picture. What we love most about our photos is that Pete and Anji capture FEELINGS. Sure, there were plenty of “posed” photos (couples, family pictures, etc.) but their action shots are pure gold. Check out their website, you will see for yourself. To sum it all up, we went out looking for a photographer, and we are so proud to say that we came back with BEAUTIFUL photos, and a pair of lifelong friends.

Mark Baker: My wife and I met Pete & Anji through a mutual friend after them capturing their special day. Ashlee Whitmire: Working with Carol was one of the best decisions I’ve made. She photographed my husband’s Marine Corps promotion at the reflecting pool and the entire process was more than I could have hoped for. All of her emails were professional, transparent, and made me excited to work with her. Heather Tully: I don’t think I can share enough about how simply wonderful Sarah is to work with. She has a true gift when it comes to photography. We’re going on year 5 of family pictures with her and each time she is able to give us images that are timeless and that showcase the individual personalities of both of my children. She worked quietly in the background all night, pulled us aside when needed, and was just constantly professional. We’ve received a number of unprompted compliments from family members on Erin. Not just on the pictures, but on the way she worked during the wedding itself. While we’re still waiting on the final set of pictures, I would definitely recommend Erin.
Stephanie Halsne: We hired Erin for our engagement photo session right DC opened back up after COVID. She was able to schedule us quickly despite dealing with a ton of reschedules. The day of the shoot she was super accommodating and patient working with us as we brought along our two dogs. She even brought a squeaky toy to hold their attention! The price was super reasonable, and Erin was able to get our photos back to us 9 days before we expected. Would recommend!
Chelsea S: Erin was great! We used her for our engagement photos first, and then signed on for our wedding photos. She was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. We were very unaccustomed to being in front of the camera, especially for formal/professional pictures. She gave us excellent directions and made us feel much more at ease. We loved how our engagement photos turned out, but (almost) more importantly, they showed us what poses worked best and what we liked and didn’t like. We met with Erin to discuss all we’d learned during the engagement shoot, and she was really receptive, and excited that the first photo session had served its purpose of being a test run for the wedding. For the big day itself, Erin was amazing! She was, of course, prompt, and prepped and ready to go. She had visited our venue a few days prior and knew exactly where she wanted to photograph us. I (the bride) was running late, so she used this time to snap pics of my accessories, flowers, and dress. But she was also so much fun to chat with, and helped me stay calm! She remembered all the things we mentioned from our engagement session, and gave us lots of posing cues, and reminders to stand up straight and turn this way or that way, to make us look our best and most natural. With so many other things to remember on our big day, it was a huge weight off to have her take care of all that! We don’t have our full gallery of wedding photos yet, but the ‘sneak peek’ she sent out is awesome. It’s a really nice touch that she sends you a quick sample after your photo session, and has enabled us to share some beautiful memories with family and friends. We’re so excited to see the rest!

Erin made it work for my schedule and when he was going to be in town. She responded so quickly and provided so much information so that I was able to surprise my fiancé. Shony R: UPDATE 3/24/19: Long story short- we never received our "free prints" for the "positive reviews" we were requested to leave BY Erin, the photographer. After multiple attempts and paying for additional prints, Erin has dropped off the face of the earth, will not respond to any questions regarding what happened, and we still have not received our wedding photos (after providing 2 separate addresses)or a refund. While she did seem a bit impatient during our shoot, I assumed it was because of the humidity and time crunch we were under for the location. She made herself available to our special day and helped me be at ease with not knowing how this whole thing was supposed to go. She gave my husband and I exactly what we wanted (candid/depth/classic shots). And although she worked alone, based on our photos you would think there were two of her. She withstood the humidity with us, seemed mostly patient with our not so co-ordinated guests and wedding party, and let us know that she was there for us....not just to do a job. I would recommend Erin to anyone looking for an experienced, versatile, and timely photographer for their special day! She truly captures the moments that capture your heart. Rachel Phoebus: We are very happy not just with how our pictures turned out, but also with the whole experience. Erin will make you feel comfortable and confident. She is able to discern with just a little feedback what types of shots you will prefer (and she welcomes and seeks out this feedback). Her photos are natural yet romantic. As one of our friends described, “they look so fairy tale.” We definitely would consider asking her for other photography services in the future.

My fiancé scheduled to have a photo shoot for immediately after he proposed and so obviously I had no time to talk with Irina ahead of time to make a plan but during the photo shoot she had so many ideas for cute poses (she even brought some fun little props!) and she was also very open to our ideas too. She showed us pictures along the way so we had an idea of how they turned out. The final edited pictures were so beautiful. She even sent us a bound book of our pictures and a magnetic photo frame.

Katie Thorp: If your reading this and you are still deciding on a photographer, look no further… Seriously! Nikki is an amazing artist, incredible to work with and just the nicest person! She was so easy to work with and the finish product was beyond our wildest dreams. Wedding planning and picking the right vendors is stressful, especially your photographer, because these are images you will look back on for the rest of your life and a way to remember a day that you spent so much time putting together. For us, Nikki was an easy choice, her style was just what we were looking, she’s fun, easy going and offered packages that included an engagement shoot, extended time, option to add a second shooter, ect…! For our engagement shoot we wanted to do the monuments in DC, we just assumed the Washington and Lincoln would be the best but she suggested the Jefferson so we took her advice and those are the pictures we love the most!! She made jokes to lighten the mood as neither of us are accustomed to getting professional photos taken but she helped coach us as to not feel staged and to get the best images. She was able to turn around a few images within a few hours and the full gallery in less then a week!! We used these for the save the dates and the website, one is still the background on my phone that I get endless complements on! We had a longer engagement, about a year and half, but Nikki went above and beyond making sure to keep in touch. She would check in to see how we were doing with planning, offer advice and recommendation for other vendors she has worked with, she even sent a Starbucks gift card telling me to treat myself as she knew planning can be stressful. Like HOW sweet! Leading up to the big day she made sure she knew all the shots we wanted, staged and candid’s. With this information Nikki came in organized and prepared with a plan to take the bridal party and family photos efficiently so we could enjoy most of the cocktail hour. I knew Nikki had a packed month of weddings she was shooting she still turned around a few sneak peek images within 24 hours and our album in what could only be described as record time. She went above and beyond for us before, during, and after our wedding surprising us with a 16x20 BEAUTIFUL framed portrait….. like WHAT!?! She is amazing and so thoughtful I would highly recommend Nikki for wedding or any photography needs as I know we will look to use her again and again 😊
Hannah Topka: Nikki Schell Photography captured our engagement images so wonderfully! We spent the afternoon in Old Town Alexandria finding cute spots and charming nooks. Nikki guided us the entire time on how to pose and helped create moments between us that truly show off our relationship!
