GW Imaging Center: what do users think?

Linda Ellis: I am new to the area and just needed to schedule a yearly mammogram. Its been a total nightmare, from making several phone calls, two of which said I needed an order from my former doctor, to incorrect fax numbers to saying I don't need a referral to being put on hold for several minutes. Physicians urge people to get yearly check-ups, but your medical facility makes it impossible to follow medical guidelines. It would be easier if I flew back to my former out of state facility to get the mammogram. That one only takes one phone call or on-line set-up to make an appointment and they contact me several times as a reminder that my yearly check-up is due. Your system is not set up for patients and you do not seem to take patient care as a priority. I'm giving one star because it would not let me post unless I gave you some kind of rating. Otherwise you would get no stars.

Nicole Moose: The staff was fantastic and accommodating. I’m having cervical spine issues and my arms being at my sides is really painful. The mri technician tucked a blanket around me so tightly and securely it held my arms crossed on my chest. Made a really long test bearable. I screwed up and thought my test was supposed to be something else. The technician triple checked and confirmed what the test was supposed to be. If you need imaging for GW Come here. They will take care of you!

Elizabeth Morin Burns: Sending a referral and getting scheduling has been a nightmare - I've been here twice for separate reasons, each time has required 5-6 separate phone calls to both my primary physician, who swears he's sent the referral, and GW, who swears they haven't received it. This would be less irritating if their phone system to get to a scheduling POC wasn't so touchy, or if I didn't have to regularly wait on hold for 20-30 minutes to speak to a rep. Unacceptable!

Belva Brown: Today must have been one of those days for the Center. I arrived at 1:45 pm for a 2:00 pm appointment. At approximately 2:18 pm I was called to the front desk and told, in an apologetic manner, that the MRI's were running behind schedule from 45-60 minutes. I went next door to have a quick bite to eat and was back in the office by 2:50 pm and acknowledged to one of the staffers that I had returned. Before leaving, several people who had come in after me were called to go back for their procedure. So maybe it doesn't take the same amount of time for each procedure. When I came back (2:50 pm), people waiting were still being called back ahead of me. Finally at 3:15 pm my name was called BUT! it's still going to take another 20 minute because "she" is sitting up the table. At this point I am fit to be tied. Was I not called because I left to get lunch just next door? Someone could have said if you leave you lose your space. I was finished in less than 45 minutes and I should have been the next one called, especially since It was "okay" for me to leave and come back. I questioned 3 staffers and the only answer I could get from them (however nice they were) was that they "didn't know" the reason for the back up. Only the person doing the MRIs could say. At 3:40 pm another staffer came back to offer apology for the back up. I asked again, what is the problem. They didn't know and couldn't say. But at 3:40 pm she went in to ask the tech how much longer. At 3:40 pm I would still be waiting another 25-30 minutes!! Asked if i wanted to wait or come back tomorrow. She went to see what appointments were available. 7 am, 7:30 am, 11 am. The 7'ish times were the best she said. It could possibly get backed-up again around 11 am and they wouldn't want to see me go through the same thing tomorrow. I asked why would the schedule get backed up. Similar answer -- it just happens sometimes and that is a time when things could back up. Okay. There should be a sign in the waiting area that reads "YOU MAY GET SEEN AT YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME OR YOU MAY BE SEEN 2 HOURS LATER. IT'S HIT OR MISS HERE." Maybe I'm a sucker for aggravation, but I took the 11 am slot. Why should I have to leave home at 5 am for a 7 am appointment. Shouldn't there be a better flow of scheduling??? Granted, things happen and maybe they were short-staffed. Whatever the real reason, I needed to sound off! And this was as good as I can keep it. After all, these things are no one's fault, I guess .....

Susan F: I have had MRIs done at GW hospital and at GW Imaging Center. The hospital is worse, but both suffer from old equipment, lack of adequate hearing protection (headset, please), and technician staff not being well focused on patient comfort. This will be my last visit to any GW imaging center.

Crystal Anderson: Unprofessional, unorganized and poor customer service the waiting room is extremely small and there are way to many people in here being as though we in the middle of a pandemic please go elsewhere if you wanna be treated respectfully because the two ladies at the front desk are rude as hell

Karen lyles: Best imaging center they made sure I was very comfortable. Thanks

m r: Never answer their phone and no way to leave a message.

Washington Radiology Washington DC: what do users think?

Morgan McCloy: This office will not answer the phone or respond to online requests for appointments. My doctor told me to get an MRI, so I first requested an appointment online (like the phone system says to). When requesting an appointment, the system said I'd hear back in a couple business days. I waited a week and heard nothing. I then called, got no answer, so left a message asking them to call me back. No call back. Waited a couple more weeks, called again, and once more no answer and no response to my message. At this point, I've given up. You are an office dealing with people who are often in pain and in need of scans. The very least you can do is respond to people requesting appointments.
Response: Hi Morgan, we take concerns like this very seriously and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We will have a team member reach out to you to discuss this further. Thank you.

K V: I called, set up an appointment, provided my insurance, the person on the phone was friendly, same for the front desk person who checked me in and the nurse and the doctor. I don’t know, did I just get lucky? Nothing like some of the other reviews are suggesting.

Jack Pararas: I had an MRI in November and paid the agreed-upon rate from my insurance provider. 10 days later, my insurance processed the claim. Now, 3 months later, I received a bill for more than $1,000 saying that they contacted by insurance company but my insurance company did not respond. That is false. I should not have to go through extra steps to receive care. Editing to say I contacted the email address provided here 3 times and have received NO response. I’ve called and left messages and have received NO response. I just got another bill.
Response: Hello Jack. Thank you for your feedback. We would like to look into this matter. Please send an email with your full name, phone number and location you visited to feedback@washingtonradiology.com. Once we receive this, we will have someone contact you. Thank you.

Billy Cox: About a 1 month and a half ago, my doctor prescribed that I get a MRI right away. One call … nobody answered (is there a real person there who I can talk to there?). So I left a voicemail message requesting a return call. After waiting a week, no return phone call. 2 weeks after first call, I tried again. Ring Ring Ring … Ring Ring Ring Ring Ring … and again, there was no real person to talk to. “Leave a message and we will call you back.” So I left a 2nd message, hoping this time I would receive a call back from Washington Radiology. Wait (day 2) … Wait (day 3) … Wait (day 4) … Wait (day 5) … … … Wait some more more more (day 15) … NO return call. Today, I am going to call WR again; however, I don’t expect to talk to anyone based on previous experiences with them. If they don’t reply to today’s phone call, I am calling my Blue Cross FEP asking if they can recommend another option. I now see for myself why Washington Radiology has less than a 3-star rating.
Response: Billy, if you could actually send an email with your full name, phone number and location you visited to Feedback@washingtonradiology.com. Once we receive this, we will have someone contact you. Thank you.

Kara Welch: Got turned away at the desk because my appointment type wasn’t scheduled right despite email confirmation. Lost time off and may need to wait 3 weeks for another appointment. Really unacceptable to treat patients seeking diagnostic assessments this way.

Zhen Wu: The facility is very nice & clean. Staff are attentive. The examine was performed by professional technician and radiologist. Although, the appointment scheduling process could be improved.

Kyle Olson: This place is an absolute joke...can't get ahold of anybody to see if i have a balance... you'd think they'd want my money?! Tried every phone number I could and also submitted the electronic request form and nothing. Seems to be a common theme in these reviews. To rub salt in the wound their 'hold music' is a message that continuously loops the message "thanks for holding someone will be right with you" over and over and over.

Lakisha Pierson: I've visited the Radiology center a few times to have tests and each experience with the staff was amazing. The front desk, the nurses, and the radiologists were very supportive and accommodating. Dr. Agnes Holland was able to calm my nerves during a recent health scare. The nurses that assisted were extremely helpful and calming as well. Dr. Holland reached out to me recently to confirm my results were benign. Up until that time I was a nervous wreck. I will continue to go here should I need any additional imaging in the future.

Evelyn Jimenez: Terrible service! I have been trying to schedule an MRI for two weeks. Actually spoke to a real life person only once. No one ever picks up phone, automated system just hangs up on you. If you are lucky enough to be able to leave a message no calls you back. Tried online request, but of course they call back when you can't answer the phone. I will be advising my doctors office not to continue recommending this place.
Response: Hi Evelyn. We would like to look into this for you. If you would, please send an email with your full name, phone number and the center you would like to visit to feedback@washingtonradiology.com. Thank you, Washington Radiology Patient Care Team

Vanessa Collazos: Made an appointment 2 weeks ago for an MRI at 6:45 AM , got there and was told it was canceled because the insurance had not approved it yet. They swore they called however they had the area code number wrong 709 instead of 703, I mean logically why not try that since VA is literally next to DC. So I call the insurance to find out that this Radiology center only submitted the request the day before my appointment. BEYOND DISAPPOINTED and LIVID. Thanks for a the waste of time on my birthday.

GW Radiology: what do users think?

Alex Sonne: Shockingly bad. Months and no results from an MRI. No one knows anything and are all rude. They are on top of billing, but nothing else. They try to fraudulently bill disabled vets using Tricare and VA by sending threatening letters and bills for VA/Tricare referred procedures with due dates that pre-date the delivery of the fraudulent threatening and harassing letters.

Megan Maxwell: RUDEE! very unprofessional. When I needed help and spoke with a certain department, they hung up on me and got upset when I called back.

Jeanne Johnson: It took 3 days to get through. The girl (Rayanne) called back and then could not figure out how to schedule. Then I finally had to leave the call as it was taking too long. She gave me her extension. I called back leaving 3 or 4 messages and no one ever returned my calls, though you promise to call back in 24 hours. (That is a joke!) I called back, and the man told me that I was scheduled on the day I asked for, but he could not give me more details. So he once again, sent me to the scheduling center, who then proceeded to cut me off again. I would not use GW Radiology except that we have to due to complications from a condition and treatment my son has. If this is how you do business, I am not sure how you stay in business.

Rishav Rijal: First bad impression was very rude staff and second bad experience is they claimed the insurance for the service which was agreed to be paid out of pocket. And they claimed for 2 services which is completely wrong and they charged amount very high. I would say very unprofessional place and service. Please avoid them if you can.

Lynnette Hardy: I have a follow-up appointment tomorrow ... sometime. Of course they don't bother actually telling me what time. Apparently, I'm just supposed to guess or take an entire day out of work tomorrow to sit around at the hospital, twiddling my thumbs! They never pick up the phone, and don't expect anyone to return your call. I called a "Ms" Cunningham on Thursday last week. She still hasn't bothered to call me back, and it's now Tuesday.

Colleen Palmer: Wished they had a 0 star option, one month trying to schedule an MRI, on hold for hours at a time and then dropped or told I would receive a call back in 24 hours which has never happened. Horrible service.

Alice Flynn: Been trying to schedule CT scan for three days. On hold for an hour, then got cut off, left number to be connected when it was my place in line, then left message for call back. Impossible to get through to schedule.

Andy Byrne: Spring 2018: GW Radiology charged excessively for a routine procedure and hid additional costs. GW Hospital staff quoted a slightly higher price but promised 'that was the only cost' and never mentioned that was only a portion of the services. I received a bill later which was much higher than what was ever quoted. Spring 2019 update: I had to return to GWU radiology. This time I arrived fully aware of the cost but hospital personnel quoted a price several times higher and said I would have to pay it up front to receive the service. I had to comply but later learned the staff were completely in error and am now working to receive a refund. Avoid the radiology department if you have the option.

Oscar: No one answered the phone on a Thursday at 8:30 am. They kept asking me to leave a message and that they would respond 24-48 hours later.

Miss DC: Phone number doesn’t work. Keeps telling me to press number 1 or number 2, no matter what number I press, I get transferred to another prerecorded number that tells me to press number 1 or number 2. This is crazy

Providence Diagnostic Imaging Center: what do users think?

SARO in D.C: I was sent down for an emergency x-ray from a doctors appointment upstairs. No customer service when I walked in, no hello, just a loud voice telling the entire office, including patients in the waiting area, the details of the phone call he was on with a patient! When I finally got the attention of someone she told me to sign in. When they called my name I was told that it would be a two hour wait because the office was behind and the office manager needed to take her lunch!! I was told if I left and came back they would not be able to see me, as her schedule would not permit it today. And then I was told if I came back in the morning they couldn’t promise me how long my wait would be, or if I would be seen then either. I asked to speak to the office manager whose name is Patrice, but I’m sitting in the waiting area and she has yet to come out. I had to choose between sitting and waiting for two hours or not be sure when I could be seeing when I walk in. I attempted to contact the number from the first poor review and it was a nonworking number. If I could give zero stars I would.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Could you please contact us at 202-854-4025 (Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm) so that we may have someone follow up? Thank you. -Providence Community Manager

Barbara Kennerly: I had a CAT scan. My X-ray technician, Derek F. was great!!! He explained to me that Cat scan would take five minutes. Efficient and professional. This Diagnostic Imaging Center has state of the art machines. You can have Mammograms, X-ray, MRI, CAT scan done here. Had Mammogram, X-ray and CAT scan all done here. It is located where the old Providence Emergency room was. Plenty of free parking on the lot. The people here are nice, courteous, and professional. Diagnostic Imaging gets the job done!!!
Response: Your feedback is important to us, and we appreciate you taking the time to share it. Thank you! -Providence Community Manager

Zenola Dunmore: Exceptional service from staff and x-ray technician. Derrick was knowledgeable and very professional. Very clean and comfortable environment. Brand new office with state-of-the-art equipment.
Response: Thanks for the great feedback! We will be sure to pass it along to our team! We wish you good health and wellness. -Providence Community Manager

Renee Moore: Not a good place to get service if you get critically ill too close to their closing time of 4:30pm. Move on!
Response: Can you please call us about your concern? There are a couple of additional details we need to confirm so we can look into this. We may be reached at 202-854-4025 (Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm). Thank you. -Providence Community Manager

Washington Open MRI: what do users think?

Colleen Canter: If you are claustrophobic, this is the place to go!!! Dawn checked me in and was very pleasant and professional. Bitu, my MRI technician was great!! She made me feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I will definitely keep them in mind for future use and will tell all of my family and friends about them.
Response: We are always available for you, and ANYONE with claustrophobia. We'll do our best to ensure that your needs are met! Wishing you good health. Thank you for choosing Washington Open MRI!

C Corson: I was very pleased with my experience at Washington Open MRI in Oxon Hill. Everything from scheduling the appointment to having the MRI done was done professionally and with ease. Jay made the check-in and check-out process a breeze. I was very anxious when I got there but the MRI Technologist, Renex, was incredibly patience with me and allowed me the time I needed to feel comfortable. I would highly recommend this office to anyone.
Response: Thank you so much for your kind review! Your satisfaction means the world to us. I will pass this on to iir staff in Oxon Hill!

Dr Lauren K Simmons: Jolie, Japava, & Renex were amazing! I use this location annually to support my wellness journey. If you want professionalism and A+ service, use them. If you require an open MRI, use them. It's awesome!
Response: Thank you, Dr. Simmons! It is our pleasure to serve you.

AG 678: The staff was super helpful and very accommodating. The receptionist was friendly as was the lab tech, and they both went out of their way to stay later and help us out. The lab tech was also very thorough with the imaging and kept checking on my dad in between. I would definitely recommend this place.
Response: Thank you! We always try our best to be courteous and professional. Your comments are appreciated and will be passed on to our staff.

Bev B.: I've had several MRI's here over the years. The techs were always nice and friendly, and the front office staff as well, with a few hiccups in past years. But my recent visits over the last 3 years have been a good experience. The only problem I have is not bring able to get an answer, or a returned call after leaving a voice mail when calling the office to make an appointment. I would recommend this place.
Response: Thank you for your kind and courteous review! We do all we can to ensure that your visit is a pleasant experience. It is a pleasure to serve you!

ray toler: The staff at Oxon Hill were great they were very professional and polite this was my 6th attempt at a mri The upright machine was a breeze so easy and the staff explained everything I would recommend it to anyone who needs to get a MRI . I drove 6 hours and would go back tomorrow . If you have any fears let me assure this is so easy and fast, give them a call and you won’t be disappointed.
Response: We are delighted that you had a great experience with us. We are the ONLY Stand-up/Sit-Down MRI in Maryland and we have discovered that in addition to the unique ability to scan patients in different positions we are the LEAST claustrophobic MRI in the world. It is a pleasure to be of service to you!

Bob Wood: I am being treated for a neck problem and could not be sure, due to what turned out to be five damaged discs, one severely, and pretty serious discomfort when lying flat on my back, that I could hold that position long enough under a regular MRI to complete the procedure. I actually did try to undergo one but had to stop it due to a neck cramp before the machinery actually started. Washington Open MRI allowing me to be in a seated position during their procedure solved the problem, along with the staff taking the time to make certain I was as comfortable as possible. Although my spine doctor had been concerned about the image quality an open MRI would produce, just as advertised, it was excellent and resulted in letting me move forward with procedures that have greatly reduced my neck pain.
Response: Thank you!

T ToriD: First I just want to say how polite and kind this reception is when you call in. I’ve had the same lady twice truly exceptional warm and went out of her way to reschedule me after I mixed up my appointments, that day just a few hours later - now I gotta sit on oxon Hill durin rush hour, but with a smile on my face, and joy all over this receptionist that took my call. These are the people we need to clone but that’s just creepy
Response: Thank you, Tori! We always try to do our best to make our patients comfortable when visiting us. I will pass your compliment on to the staff.

Karen James: One of the few standing open mri's I. The area. Super helpful staff. Got all the prior Auth and coordinated with two doctors. Even informed me of things that the doctors usually include and to make sure My referral included it to make it easy on the doctor I was seeing the next day. It is not big and fancy but they have very specialized equipment that most of the fancy decorated dont. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I specifically asked to have time before the images to set off the condition so it could be found. He said yes, but he was going to get a few regular ones first and then suddenly he said he was done and I didn't have time to set it off. Go to the back of the building. There is a huge sign across the front of the building but the actual entrench is in the back only accessible from the outside. See pic.
Response: Thank you!

TazBoy07AbnR: There's a reason why we set appts. If a patient has one for 430pm, arrives on time. It doesnt mean, you're given the forms to fill out 20 minutes later. And as I'm sitting here at 505 pm typing this. I still havent gotten to the back yet. Last time, I had one last year at Rockville location, and everything was on time. We do have other places, things to go and do. Your lack of inefficiency is inexcusable, such as the receptionist whining about being the only there and have other things to take care of. This is why I begrudge coming to this location, if it weren't time pressing for a mri. I will be filing a formal complaint with corporate as well.
Response: Please accept our apologies for the delay in performing your scan at our Oxon Hill location. I checked with our MRI technologist and we had a patient prior to your scan who was very ill and required additional time to complete their scan. Why does this happen? We always try our best to ensure that patients who arrive on time are SEEN ON TIME, but we also have an obligation to properly scan our patients to ensure that their doctor receives the proper report and determines the best treatment for his patient. I hope you understand our dilemma in scheduling patients as efficiently as possible but in the medical industry these delays happen.

Progressive Radiology Foxhall MRI: what do users think?

Zeko Dan: DO NOT GO HERE! - Go to Germantown location instead! Or pick INOVA or WRA (K street) instead. Foxhall location has an incredibly arrogant technician. (1) She refused to provide noise cancellation phone (even though they were on the table in the room) and gave earplugs instead, which did nothing to alleviate the noise. (2) I was in discomfort due to noise, and after MRI I told her "I hope I didn't move too much" with a kind smile, upon which she answered in the most dismissive, arrogant tone "Yes, you did, and I had to repeat several images" - that was a LIE. I've done quite a few of MRI scans and the time I spent with her was no more than time spent at other MRIs (15-20 mins). Even if I did move and you had to repeat scans, SERVE YOUR RIGHT - you process less patients, meaning less money for the company, meaning you loose job. This location used to have an older technician who wasn't rolling out red carpet for patients either, but for sure wasn't rude either.

David Berlin: Summary: MISERABLE EXPERIENCE, EXTREMELY RUDE TECHNICIAN. I've gone here several times in years past and had very pleasant experiences, and I just went earlier tonight for what was supposed to be two consecutive MRIs. Unfortunately the tech refused to do the second one because I "only" arrived 15 minutes prior to my first one (as opposed to 30 minutes prior). It was their last appointment of the evening and I explained that my injury was an extremely painful and time-sensitive situation that might necessitate surgery, and I asked if she could please do both. In response, the tech not only continued to refuse to do the second MRI, but she was openly rude to the point of being flat out hostile. So now I have to reschedule the second MRI, which is going to significantly delay when I can see the surgeon and ultimately keep me in this painful state for a much longer time. I've never had such an unpleasant experience in a healthcare setting.

The Director: Something has changed here. I've had a few MRIs prior (in the past 3 years) for surgeries here and they were always on top of things and courteous. It seems less patient centric, not as friendly, and more confused than in the past. There's a sense that they are doing us a favor. Should recognize that most of the time someone getting an MRI is in pain or suffering a loss of ability. Should be more welcoming. Errors in scheduling too. When asked if they have you can go on a cancel list for call backs, the explanation is how hard that would be on them. How hard can it be to keep a list of names and then call the top three if a cancellation occurs? (Dentists and PTs do this all the time and it's a money maker for them and we patients love it!!) Not sure I would go back.
Response: I'm sorry to hear that you had a negative experience at our center. We're known for exceptional service and quality images/reports. The pandemic has certainly made it more difficult for our staff. They now sanitize all surfaces after every patient comes through the center along with their regular duties. Foxhall is one of our busiest locations so it's impossible to maintain a cancel list. If you would like to discuss this further, please call me at (202) 966-0606. Thank you for your feedback and I will make sure we address your concerns. Sincerely, Diane

Shay F.: The technician was great! He made me feel so comfortable. He explained everything from start to finish and asked me about what was going on and explained everything as it related to that. Such a warm person. Really helped to ease my anxiety about getting in an MRI for the first time. The other person who wears the glasses (I’m assuming the doctor) made me uncomfortable. He shoved the headphones on the ears in a way that the cords wrapped around my neck like a noose and they got tight as the machine moved forward. Luckily the tech was there, he apologized and fixed it for me. At the very end the “doctor” kinda aggressively pulled the covers off me like he was aggravated. Overall it was a nice experience
Response: Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm so glad to hear that the technician was responsive to your needs. We are known for our exceptional service and quality images/reports. I will follow up with the other clinician to make sure he is aware of your concerns. If you'd like to discuss this further, please call me at (202) 966-0606. Thank you, Diane

J C: I know how much a good radiologist can make a difference and so, based on google reviews, I called Progressive MRI to set up an appointment. I have a connective tissue disorder and many things have been going wrong with my body while I was living abroad, requiring 6 MRIs for my hands, knee, and hips. I need these done by next week, as I have consults with several surgeons for a second opinion. I explained all of the above to the receptionist named Ms. Venessa at Progressive radiology, who schedule appointments. She asked that I email her a copy of all MRIs and she will call me right back to schedule the appointments after she has verified the papers. I waited all day and no one even bothered to call me back. When i called them back, a lady name Keisha said Venessa knows the details but she's busy, and so she'll get back to me tomorrow. They treated me as if I am a difficult patient, and as if they are doing me a favor to schedule an appointment. When i asked why did they tell me they would call me right back, and make me wait all day, only to find ot they weren't even planning to call me back until tomorrow. I also asked them due to tight schedule, why it has to take so long to just schedule, and Keisha said I don't know what to tell you because its Venessa who you spoke to and she's very busy and can't come to the phone until tomorrow. I called back few hours later again but received same answer. I found it very unprofessional that they don't even return your calls as promised, and to give round around excuses to schedule appointments. They knew I am in pain, coming from VA to dc, yet, not even a simple apology for making me wait all day, and another 24hours, not to mention how ridiculous it is to hear such unnecessary and personal rude comments. To make matter even worse, and disheartening actually, is how they treated me as if I am such a hassle when I told them that I have involuntary movements disorder in my legs(myotonic) and may require some additional assistance during my MRIs. I asked if they could give me some simple reminders during MRI sessions, for example if I am involuntarily moving too much, as my movements are very subtle and often, I can't tell at times if I am moving. The lady(I believe it was Keisha), said no, we have full schedule so we cannot stop for your personal needs. If you mess up, then you'll just have to take the imaging as is, then if your doctors are not happy, they have to write you a new script." I pleaded, I am sorry but this is an illness I don't have any control over, and that in the past, when radiology technician gave me a simple reminder between sections over the intercom. She still said no. Despite my hand pain, I feel a duty to let other patients know, If you have been suffering from, say a back pain, yet your doctors can't find answers, and require multiple MRIs, don't come here because they will treat you as if you are some hypochondria, or that these MRIs are unnecessary. In addition, IF you are suffering from any pain or involuntary movements, or muscle spasms/twitch due to pain, and may require some empathetic accommodation should you flinch during MRI, you don't want to go to Progressive MRI centers. I have had other MRI centers where they are willing to schedule me in the evening so that if I require a bit of extra time, they can accommodate me. Companies after maximizing profit and find patients with reasonable accommodation to be cumbersome, and lack any compassion, should not be tolerated by us- educated empowered consumers.
Response: I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at our center. We're normally known for exceptional service and quality images/reports. If you'd like to discuss this further, please call me at (202) 966-0606. Thank you, Diane

K P: I can’t begin to describe how amazing and awesome this place is! Before going to Progressive Radiology/Foxhall I had no idea How crucial it is to go to a good radiologist for your MRI and Imaging! What a difference it makes! The staff is friendly helpful and help me understand my insurance and how to navigate to get the approvals and also we’re very flexible with the scheduling. The official detailed summary report that was (extremely quickly) given back to my doctors and I were all very detailed, professional, and explained their findings thoroughly etc. The Radiologists (there were actually two of them each time) who took the images and ran the MRI machine for me were kind, calming, explained exactly what was going to happen, made sure i was comfortable. They were also very knowledgeable, professional, and skilled with the imaging / MRI machine. They took a lot of time and care to ensure they were getting the most clear, accurate, and best images possible. This was impressive to me when comparing my first MRi (at another company) to the next 3-4 that were done at Progressive Radiology at Foxhall. I had no idea how much the skill and experience of the Radiologist operating the MRI machine —> impacts the final imaging results!! A LOT!!! This team were all so helpful and kind. Especially Raymond and Samantha - you guys all rock and thanks so much! Kate especially prior to surgery and to determinedifference Betty ween
Response: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We strive for exceptional service every time and are known for our quality images and reports.

Nick C.: Would give 10 stars if possible. Better than any radiologist in downtown DC. Got an appointment within a week. Got a call 45 mins before my appointment saying that we would be able to start earlier than expected. Walked in the door at 2:30p and walked out of the door at 3:04p (34 mins!!). Super efficient service, kind technicians, and an amazing experience overall.
Response: Thank you for leaving a review! Our team at Foxhall MRI is thrilled to hear such good feedback, and we strive for exceptional service every time.

Lynda Pejic: best place for MRI’s. the technician was very kind and patient making sure i was comfortable for the whole long process. he checked in several times and in fact woke me up a few of them. :-)
Response: Thank you for leaving a review! We strive for exceptional service every time.

Barbara Zadina: I got an appointment within a few days, and they are open late weeknights. Free parking evenings and very competent staff. What a hidden gem in the neighborhood.
Response: Thank you so much for your review! Our team is thrilled to hear such good feedback and we've been at that location since 2001. We strive for exceptional service.

Liz Jessup: Foxhall took me right away for my appointment. They were speedy and polite, and it was much easier than going to the hospital to have an MRI done.
Response: Thank you for your review. The outpatient setting is more convenient for the patient as well as less expensive than going to the hospital. I'm glad you had a great experience at Foxhall MRI.

Tysons MRI and Imaging Center: what do users think?

Chelsea Brown: The office is nice, the technicians were great, but when I told the front desk staff I had another insurance she refused to take it stating they had already gotten it approved through the other insurance. Then I got the bill for the full amount. Turns out.....the insurance that approved the prodcedure, denied it was because the insurance I asked the front staff to use as well (which they didn't) wasn't processed along with it. So when I called their billing office which are some of the rudest staff I have ever talked to they said it was past the time I could have them resubmit the claims to my other insurance so I would have to do it myself (because the staff member would have to speak to his boss to get it approved to send to my other insurance otherwise and he didn't want to have to do that) and if I didn't do it within the next few weeks it would be past the deadline and they were going to send me to collections. It took me 6 months to get it sorted out. The only reason this place got 2 stars is because of the tech who put my IV in and did the procedure otherwise it would have been different.

Annie Daily: DO NOT GO TO ANY FAIRFAX RADIOLOGY CENTERS!!! This company has to consideration for the patients. I asked to be on a payment plan that I could AFFORD which would make 8 monthly payments and I was completely dismissed. Told I could only sign up for 6 months, or after 90 days regardless of payments being made the account would go to collections. How would this be acceptable in today's day in age? I'm willing to pay, I AM paying. Do they not understand that people going to that people needing and MRI done in the first place is already drowning in medical bills. Just TERRIBLE.

Arin Ashkan: I called this center at 3 pm and ask them when can I come for walk in XR and they told me until 4:30. I got there at 4:15 and they told me the technician is already left. I would never send any of our patients to this center again.

Mig Din: Technicians are nice and office is in a convenient location. However, the administrative/scheduling side is severely lacking. They seem to always lose MRI orders. I showed up today for my appointment at 8:15 only for them to tell me at 9am (after I waited for 45 minutes) that they could not see me right now and wanted to reschedule for a third time...I'm going somewhere else next time.

Nathalie Flores: I called to make an appointment but was asked to do a walk-in instead. I asked for information on the cost of services or fees - no one on the line was able to provide any details. There should be more transparency with medical fees.

Alexa Dragoumis: I went in for my first MRI ever at this location and the staff was so friendly and extremely helpful. The communication leading up to the appointment was fabulous, and the team of radiologists who took my images had amazing bedside manner. They talked me through the whole process & kept me calm and comfortable. Highly recommend this location, especially if you suffer from anxiety or claustrophobia like me.

Bruno Vasiliev: Honestly was worried coming in because of the bad reviews and mentally prepared myself based on what others said. But I have no clue why anyone would say bad things about this place! Terry the front desk receptionist was so friendly and professional, the office was very clean and organized. My MRI tech Keith was also very friendly and welcoming. Was in and out way faster then expected. I would say it was the best place I’ve gotten an MRI done and will definitely be back if I need one in the future.
Response: Bruno, thanks for taking the time to provide us with positive feedback to let us know how we are doing. jk: Making the appointment was easy enough, the call about the price was great, I knew how much I was supposed to pay out of pocket on arrival before showing up(more on that though later),the receptionists were nice enough, everything is downhill from there. I showed up 20 minutes early, checked in, paid what I was told it would cost, then was not seen for a hour past my appointment time. My time, everyone's time is valuable so a call for such a massive delay would have been nice. The hip injection went very well once I was finally seen. Then I was sent to the MRI section of the office. They were well behind schedule too, I had another 20 minutes to wait... in the changing closet. I had to hear an awkward conversation of the MRI technician with the injection technician telling the injection technician to not send patients to him until he says he is ready for them, then said it again angrily and slammed the phone down. Once I finally got in the MRI machine things went well. NOW, I just received another bill in the mail. First of all why? I was told it would cost X amount, insurance would only put the. Cost toward my deductible, but be no help towards the actual cost. They knew exactly what I was coming in for, an ink injection in my hip and an MRI on that side of my hip. Looking at the bill further, it is inaccurate about the amount I paid in office by over $100. Even if they entered what I paid correctly, I would still owe money. I am now on hold for almost 40 minutes and counting to talk to their billing department. There is an option to press 1 to be directed to a voice-mail box to leave a call back message... that option does not work. I have pressed 1 everytime that hold message pops up. This place is an absolute disaster, look elsewhere to get your imaging done. I give it 1 star because while I was actually taken care of I was never in discomfort. Otherwise it would have been a big fat 0 as a review. I am now at 43 minutes and waiting on hold still. I will update this if I ever get taken off hold. Keep in mind, I have not even talked to anyone, they are not looking into anything yet, this is just me waiting for someone to answer... kind of tells me they must screw a lot of people over in billing for all reps to be this busy for this long in the billing department.

Hanady Sarsour: Sat waiting in the waiting area for over 1 hour before they even submitted our information into their system. When I told them I was uncomfortable for waiting for so long inside of the waiting area (due to covid) the lady up front with dreads and glasses didn't seem too concerned that I had already been waiting for so long with my children, and suggested she move us to a different waiting room, when I told her I would rather wait outside because I was uncomfortable with waiting in a crowded waiting area for this long and suggested they call my cell phone when it's our turn, she was rude and said that was not an option and I had to continue to wait inside. Luckily a technician i believe his name was Peter, was kind enough to escort us to the back to have the x-ray taken right away. He was very nice with us and got is in and out very quickly and understood my frustration about having waited for so long in a waiting room. The entire process didn't take more than 5 minutes but I'm still unsure why it took so long to submit our info when they had atleast 4 people working behind the counter and there was only 1 person ahead of us when we walked in.

Evagelia Emily Tavoulareas: They wanted me to pay 50% of my bill in the office--the day of the procedure--with ZERO warning. Just... "oh hey, you'll need to pay us $1500. Today." As if people, especially at this moment, can just drop that money with no planning. I asked to be billed b/c I have a health savings account for exactly these situations... "No." I asked why. "Company policy. Call the billing department." I call the billing department. No answer. A staff member tries to help. Calls someone. Tells me they can lower it to 10%. At this point I am 30 min past my appointment time and am livid. I'm in a medical office in the middle of a pandemic. I've taken 2 hours off from work, and secured childcare... and I didn't even have the MRI. All this time for nothing, and now I have to do it all over again. Definitely with a different provider. One that at the very least has the decency to inform me of a 50% onsite pay requirement ahead of time. At this point, what is most upsetting about this is thinking about all the people with less time and resources than me who are basically HOSTAGES in this situation. A health provider telling them: either pay this enormous sum of money, with no warning, or don't get the help you need.

Howard University Hospital | Radiology: what do users think?

Samantha R: Each staff member I encountered at Howard University Hospital was professional, kind, and clearly very hard working. Dora in the Radiology department was incredible, she made my appointment during a pandemic, feel like it was any other day in 2019. She was easy to talk and laugh with, and before I knew it, I was free to go. Thank you to Dora and to the rest of the staff!

NJOY1960: I have an appointment 10:30 am 1/4/17 ( actually arrival time 9:50 am) for a follow up Sonogram (breast). Appointment Schudule months ago!!! Front desk staff is very rude. 4 people in waiting area, when I arrived. 5 people after I arrived. So far every person that arrived after me including a walk in has been waited on!! The only person besides myself still HERE. Is a young lady who's appointment is for 11:00! I really want to support Howard, but the bed side manager, and yes the rudeness of the staff. Especially from those from other country makes me not want have any interaction with them!!!😟😢😒🤔🤔🤔😒

David Keith: I did a walk-in , was in and out within 20 mins, friendly staff

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital:Radiology and Interventional Radiology: what do users think?

Emily De: I had an MRI done at 8:45pm on a Friday night. Everyone was just so incredibly friendly and made sure we all felt comfortable, considering the time and day. It was easy to get in, and easy to leave and a very “pleasant” process, considering.

Cindy DeLinka: I had one MRI and something went wrong with the contrast dye pump so I had to go back for a second MRI. The staff seemed disorganized before the second MRI but I got through it. BUT, MedStar has sent me results belonging to someone else. It’s really negligent on their part. I know they are someone else’s results because the patient is described as being 76 years old. I’m 60. There are other inaccuracies within the report. How can we trust that decisions are being made on the right results?! Very worrisome.

The Radiology Clinic: what do users think?

Mark Hochberg: Excellent! The facility is clean, the staff are professional and the entire experience was easy. I received an order for an MRI and decided to just stop in to see if they could fit me in the schedule for the day, which they gladly did. This is the third time I've had an MRI here and all three were easy. Thanks!

Katherine Garcia: Can’t say enough positives about this location! I had a great appointment with a very friendly team, but I went out of my way to leave this stellar review because of the help I received from Leslie! I was having trouble getting into my portal and she was able to help me quickly and kindly. Her customer service blew me away! Highly recommend
Response: Hello Ms. Garcia. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave this positive feedback! We are definitely lucky to have Leslie!

Paul Bozzarelli: The Radiology Clinic is the place to go. I went in there the other day for my ultrasound. I forgot to bring my order and the lady Diana called my doctor and got it for me super quick. After my appointment was done, Libia helped me set up my patient portal, quick and easy. They were so sweet and helpful thank you. I highly recommend.
Response: Hi Mr. Bozzarelli. Thanks for taking the time to leave positive feedback! Also for directly recognizing some of the outstanding members of our team!

Chris Boragno: Excellent experience. Savannah went above and beyond explaining the procedure to me and made me feel comfortable. Facilities were clean and well run. I would absolutely refer my friends and family to this clinic.
Response: Hi Chris, thanks for your kind words. Savannah is definitely an A+ team member and we’re lucky to have her. We appreciate you putting your trust in our practice.

Alexandria Williams: Great experience. Was able to answer my questions and was very professional. They have a new online system, so I had to resign one of the paperwork in person, but they explained it. The technician was excellent and loved the music playlist.
Response: Hi Ms. Williams. Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback! Also, thanks for being understanding about additional paperwork due to the new system.

Brenda Robles: Best experience at a radiology clinic. The front desk person was so personable and efficient, and my technician (I cannot recall her name) was personable and really ensured I was comfortable and informed throughout the procedure. Highly recommend!

Karen Newton: It was fantastic. My husband's nursing home did the blood work his ENT ordered for the CT but didn't forward the results, either to me or the doctor. I expected to be told we'd have to come back another day but Jan persisted, got the info and did the scan.

Valerie Hopkins: I called to set an appointment for my father this afternoon 3/3/22, the phone kept ringing with no answer. I finally was answer the lady that answer had a lack of knowledge, for the questions I was asking she kept putting me on hold. Then hanged up on me twice. As I called back again phone ringed for over 2 minutes, she answer I asked her what her name was I was told May. I asked her why did she hang up on me twice, she ignore the questions, and with attitude told me I hanged up on her. I asked to speak to a Manager, guess what place on "hold" again. After holding a man answer I asked to speak with May or a manager he placed me on hold. What a lack of health care customer service. She finally answer me and said the Manager Lesly was not around. I asked her if she could schedule the appointment, she said I should just come in since she didn't understand the exam I was telling her. I asked her to call my Doctor office since your office has done that before she said she doesn't do that with a attitude. I was in disbelieve! She stayed quite and asked me what I wanted to do, I explained to her I needed to a appointment for my father a magnetic resonance imaging abdomen pelvis chest with oral and with dye. She said that it could not be done, my father has been there before. I will NEVER take my father there again or family. As someone who used to work in the medicine / healthcare field this has been the worst treatment ever given. MAY WAS VERY DISCORTEOUS, no phone etiquette.
Response: Hello Ms Hopkins. On behalf of The Radiology Clinic I sincerely apologize for the experience you had trying to manage care for your father. We have some new team members and are working alongside them to assure that we maintain the high level of service we are known for. I'm sorry for any confusion or disorganization on our part. While we can't recover your specific situation, we will definitely use your input to help improve the experience for future patients and their families. If you reconsider letting us provide care to you and your family, feel free to ask for me directly. I would be happy to facilitate anything you need. Mike Mager. 301-217-0500

barry mager: Radiology staff and customer service were courteous and professional throughout the entire scanning process. Very clean facility. TRC combines value, quality of service and thorough results. I highly recommend!

Sean Jefferson: Excellent establishment! Everyone was super helpful from the receptionists to the doctors who attended to me. Would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a new clinic. They are friendly, timely, and reliable!

Howard University Hospital: what do users think?

Zina Jones: I was there this month. May 2022. The ER staff was efficient, patient and kind. The emergency room was clean, even the bathrooms were clean. Security was alert and understanding. My brother was a little loud and vocal and the security guard was very understanding. He said my brother is just worried about me. That was awesome. The staff that checked me in was ok. The triage staff was excellent.. Thanks so much for a job well done. The Doctor techs and nurses were professional and comforting.. Thank you so much

Evan Glassman: Not gonna lie when I was sitting in the waiting room with my head leaking from a huge gash I got from slipping on my own pee, I decided to check the reviews on google. After seeing the measly 2.4 stars, I was scared they were gonna make my cut worse or even forget about me. I was completely wrong. Service was efficient. The nurse was really kind and she stitched me up effortlessly. Would definitely come back if I slip on my own pee again. Thanks guys.

bria bailey: I don’t even know how this hospital is still open. My grandfather was having a heart attack and when they told him that they were taking him to Howard hospital he stayed home. This place has no empathy at all. The staff is rude. Lazy. Disrespectful. The emergency room acts as if you are an inconvenience by actually going there. Nobody has phone etiquette and manners. Whoever the man is running the emergency room has no business dealing with people. I legit hate this hospital and only go if I feel like Im dying. If you read this PLEASE GO TO SIBLEY HOSPITAL THEY ACTUALLY CARE.

Brandi Lawrence: Sad. Truly sad. Front door staff member was noticeably drunk. You could smell the liquor on his breathe, blood shot eyes, no customer service, talking with coworkers instead of leading patients and guest..and giving out wrong information at the front desk. Get to the floor advertised online for the Dr. Appt. it's wrong. Told by two nurses, I'm in the wrong building. Walk next door, and then was told, I was in the right building the first time. Go back to the hospital get to the Endocrinology department. This lady is literally losing her breathe and throwing up in the waiting area. We're signaling the nurses and front desk to assist. They were busy in their cell phones and talking amongst each other. This lady is literally coughing, chocking, vomiting NOTICEABLY. We're like please help her...one of brushed me off thinking I was asking to step in the hall. I'm like lady, NO someone is literally out here struggling to breathe.. HELP HER! They were acting clueless and sat there at least 2 minutes before they helped her to ER. It was the craziest thing I've ever experienced at a hospital. I won't be back. I wouldn't send a pet rat to this hospital. I'll just redo the whole Dr. appt at another facility.

Anonymous: I had my first born Son at this Hospital and I was spoiled. The Doctor's, Nurses and staff were extremely helpful that I thought this is how a woman that is pregnant should be treated. I had my daughter at Shady Grove, and boy, the differences were extreme. I thought the level of care at Howard will be expected at other facilities. The staff at Howard treated me like a real person, they were caring, accomodating and I felt I was treated as if I were one of their family members. At other hospitals, I was just another patient. Please do not talk bad about Howard, they treated me extremely well in a difficult situation.

Rhonda26: Good afternoon my name is Rhonda I am 3months pregnant on Sunday January 16 2022 I couldn't breath, I couldn't drink, couldn't eat, or keep anything down for 4days so I decided to attend the emergency room witch was Howard university hospital. When I arrive to the emergency room my husband and I we didn't know how the rules and regulations was we didn't know he couldn't sit in the emergency room with me . But nurse Tiffany was going make sure we found out very soon. At this point we sitting waiting to be seen! nurse Tiffany never told us he couldn't stay instead she go get officer Jones to come remove my husband witch I thought was a little extra . So as he quietly walking my husband out the door I said out loud but to myself that's why I like Washington hospital center better ...nurse Tiffany decided to say real loud from all the way behind the curtain she was working we'll why you come to this hospital if you don't like it go to Washington hospital. I said ms. I wasn't talking to you so please stop talking to me like that's your job she takes apon herself to go get doctor as if I was about to hurt her . To put me out the hospital the doctor didn't see what happen he didn't get both sides he immediately says get out I'm not working on you he was the only doctor there and they put me out the hospital as bad as I felt I just took the names down that's how I know who was involved. doctor Brian put me out and of course i had no choice but to go to Washington hospital center where I recovered and was treated nice . I never thought I would experience anything like that in my life. But I wanna thank officer Jones for being so respectful to a pregnant sick woman .

Shannon: I was referred to see a specialist by the specialist's former colleague. It's now clearer why I've NEVER voluntarily went to HUH. Upon arrival at the information desk, a new employee starting that day came to work with a hood bonnet on. I heard her say to the person at the information desk, "I'm a new employee starting today." I looked with raised eyebrows. I walked off to get the elevator, another young lady in scrubbs is waiting also. Once the elevator doors opened, she attempted to enter side by side with me, pandemic be damned. I get to the specialist office and check in. While sitting completing two forms, I witnessed the receptionist pulling messages off the phone left by patients via speaker for everyone in the waiting room to hear. Raised eyebrows in disbelief. When the nurse came in for pre-screening, she's taking all the information to the questions she asks by hand writing on scratch paper. I say to her, "how does these notes make it into my medical record?" She stated the doctor would put it in. I said, "Howard received a $40m donation by MacKenzie Scott and you're manually taking medical notes?" During my consultation with the Doctor I disclosed what the receptionist did letting the doctor know I'd never call there and leave a message because of what I witnessed. With my consultation closing, the treatment plan the doctor wanted me to start required lab work. I opted to get it done there to expedite the process, bad idea. Labcorp is their in house lab. Extremely small room, unprofessional phlebotomist. The one that attended to me was utilizing her phone (speaker) listening to music with her mask below her nose giving non-verbal commands as if I was supposed to know what those commands meant. This is why I DON'T go to GW, VETERANS, WASHINGTON or HOWARD hospitals.

Lamaria Washington: I go to this hospital cafe a lot and it is normally a pleasant experience but yesterday (5/15/22) I came and brought some grapes. After eating a few, I realized that some of the grapes had mold in them. I checked the label to see that these grapes were 10 days expired. I returned the next day and checked the other grapes and saw that the label had been removed so customers could no longer see the expiration date.

Shaunta Gilchrist: On March 13th 2021 I was scheduled to give birth to my daughter and we arrived on time and there wasn’t no doctor on the floor until the next morning. Following that they continued to want me to have a c-section which I refused. The bed I was on was broken and the feet rest didn’t work. Well during pushing my daughter out two days later the foot rest broke completely and my legs dropped while I was pushing which caused the epidural to turn and almost fall out. I know have severe nerve damage to my right leg and can’t feel it from the knee to the inner thigh. I have a lawyer involved and plan on going all the way. I had to stop breast feeding because of the medications they had me on. Absolutely horrible

jose Navarro: Do Not go here if you’re pregnant and planning on giving birth here!!!! I’ve been to L&D like 3 times for emergency due to pregnancy every time I go there they never find anything wrong I feel like they are just being lazy when I arrived to the L&D section all the nurses were in their phone didn’t even want to see me because they didn’t want to work at all. If anything goes wrong in your labor and delivery they won’t be able to find it. I ended going to Medstar hospital after going here an boom there was a Problem in my pregnancy like I suspected. So don’t trust this hospital at all they don’t care
