Byrdland Records: what do users think?

Saminda Wijegunawardena: Really solid store. Diverse collection of vinyl for such a small joint. Most records are new but they have a few stacks of used. Pricey but good cuts. I picked up an Al Green record, a classic Prince record, and a Thelonious Monk live limited edition for a total of about $80. Friendly staff, not snobby.

Corey Graham: Very cool joint with a massive new vinyl selection. Smaller but diverse used section. Loved it.

Kyle del Villar: An all around incredible record store that features new and old vinyl that can appease anyones taste. They also have a nice selection of record players and audio equipment to help people get set up or upgrade their current sound systems. This place is a must stop for music lovers.

RedRudaProductions: Great! Lots to choose from and they can order stuff for you. Good amount of classics on sale or on discount. They carry speakers, record players, and more. First time, I got there about 20 minutes before they open and a staff member open the door for me, he took time from eating his lunch to help me with questions. Really nice place!

Cody Cox: A very nice record store. They have a pretty solid selection of newer and unique records (while their used selection was more limited). Their space is very fun and they have a lot of offerings beyond the standard store (equipment and events). The only major drawback I thought was in the pricing department. From what I could tell average record was around $30.

Smash Records: what do users think?

POPTOGRAPHIX: A great record store if you like punk. Kind of small but lots of cool stuff at a pretty reasonable price. Overall nice record store.

Adrijana Parsell: Cool place! Any 80s or 90s rock fan would love this place, I found the picture mocking a shoplifter and no posers sign hilarious, but might not be for everyone. Pretty decent collection of vinyl, clothes, magazines and more

Allison Giddens: Cool record shop. Found a couple of fun things in the used "new arrivals."

Sex Pistoleros: Absolutely one of the best record stores for punk. Up there with Rushmor Records.

Joint Custody: what do users think?

Allison Giddens: Very cool record shop - fantastic selection in rock and metal. Super nice guy (owner?) at the front counter. Totally recommend checking out if you are in the area or visiting.

Stefane Sheryniele: Amazing record shop. Really cozy basement vibe with cool art. They have a great variety of records. I found a few I was looking for, for a long time. The guy at the register was also really nice. I recommend this place.

Alex Escamilla: My good friend John Puerto Vinyl, recommended me this store. This place has a unique way of treating their customers, prices are always right, and every single vinyl is always in almost perfect conditions, my new favorite record store. I would give an extra star because it’s the only store that I’ve been that has a bathroom, this makes the visit more comfortable if you’re in the needs of using it.

Akindele Campbell: Best record shop in the area. Great Soul, Jazz, Funk, Hip-hop, Reggae and African Selections. Discount section has so many gems. Overall great place for music lovers old and young, looking to build their collection

matthew mckenna: They have a great selection of constantly rotating used records, in all genres. They really exceed in hip hop, metal, punk/hardcore. I always find at least 10 things to buy.

HR Records: what do users think?

Chantaya King: My kind of record store! HR records is amazing! The staff is welcoming and answered any questions my friend and I had about records! I love digging with jazz playing in the background! The shop is well organized and they have plenty of records to dig in! HR is now one of my favorite D.C shops!

Julius Sheppard: Great shop. Knowledgeable staff. The recommendations are on point. Bought and sold some records and got good prices on both.

YanoNick: The staff is super cool and informed. I like the music playing. Affordable prices and wide selection of music for a novice like myself. They also do live shows and interviews.

Isaac Sawin: Best store around if you are looking for soul and funk records.

Morgan Lupton: Fantastic shop with an incredible selection. Really good mix of full lengths and singles from a wide variety of genres. One of my preferred spots for picking up Jazz, Funk, Soul, and Disco 12s.

Clifford Robert Booker Jr.: HR Records can still fill the empty spots in my Musical library !

Noel Johnson III: Awesome shop! Lots of good jazz, soul, and funk here. Saw lots of gospel and reggae 45s too. Will be returning!

Uncle Tony's Donut Shoppe: what do users think?

Kevin Wright: Lovely small and compact store. Records can be pricy but are fair. This place is the epitome of quality over quantity. Hip addition to a hotel lobby.

Matt's Garage & Misc. DIY: The record shop is inside the “Yours Truly DC” hotel lobby. Cool shop with lots of Soul, Funk, Hip Hop and Jazz

Rishi Kumar: Great little shop with a nice selection of funk, soul, pop, and rock records (all vinyl), both used and new. All the records looked to be in great condition. I picked up a great Herbie Hancock record, and I plan on spending a lot more money here.

Jay Herrera: Great customer service , and nice selection of old and used vinyl. Highly recommend !

Ronojoy Sen: Great selection and a cool location.

Ben Foulkes: Great shop with a great selection. Definitely has become my go-to record store in DC.

Dave Hoenack: A great record store!

Crooked Beat Records: what do users think?

Da Hun: Great record store. You can find all kinds of records, from the old time rock & roll to the new music. If you are in the area I definitely recommend stopping by.

Bryan Vorbach: Great little record shop. Constantly getting in new things and they also have a solid selection of used records and stuff from local bands.

frizz: A hidden gem off the corner of Madison Street. Cozy little shop, reminds me of what I wanted my bedroom to look like in middle school. A grand selection of new and used vinyl. Decent pricing. Staff is very informative. I didn’t buy anything here today but this will be the first place I visit when I wanna get my hands on some vinyl.

Kevin Wright: Super friendly owner and awesome legacy of selling music in the dc area. Nicely curated shop. Highly recommend.

stefan Voogel: A great place to buy good quality vinyl records both new and second hand! Owner Bill always there to have a good chat with.Very relaxing environment to shop for special vinyl records or collections. And if you can not find what you want just let Bill know and he will do his best to order it for you.

Jay Vallario: Super helpful. Have me great advice about turntables, irrespective of whether I was buying anything. Just low key, honest, knowledgeable people.

Red Onion Records: what do users think?

Aidan Gardner: Very good selection, however, not too much metal/hard rock. Still great people there and a great series of jazz and hip hop

Daniel Tana: Really great shop. I grew up in Hyattsville and I wish we had anything this cool here when I was younger and had more disposable income. Even still, better relate than never! Very cool and helpful staff, and a huge inventory of records (and books, and CDs, and some cassettes) with a great selection of new releases and classic used stuff, and lots of bargains. They also buy records so if you have an old collection to unload, give them a call (so I can end up buying your old records). Lastly, they seem to get new stuff in all the time, which is great. I’ve started trying to go at least once a week to see what’s new and always seem to find something cool.

Connor Smith: Friendly staff and *tremendous* varied blues selection. And I’m not sure what that other reviewer was talking about; these are some of the very best prices in the DMV.

Evan Stephens: Very solid record store in the district. Selection of new vinyl and new arrivals are strongest. Surprisingly thin selection of classical pop and rock, but they also have a nice listening station and a shelf of oddities like books cassettes and other. Very friendly staff. Absolutely worth the trip

Davy Sundquist: Incredible selection of alt-rock and emo albums. Grabbed a nice Speedy Ortiz record today, and will be coming back soon. Clerk helped me find a place to get my record player repaired, too!

Target: what do users think?

Chaturbhuj bhojwani: Very nice and clean store parking available in the basement, Only problem always low on the food inventor and produce and grocery.

Cliodhna MacFadden: We purchased the Element 65” TV, and after 3 days the backlight broke. We tried everything to fix it. Without a box or receipt in hand, we brought it back to see what may be possible to do. Associates TK, Nicole S, and Anton were able to use the debit card used to purchase to look up my receipt to get our return sorted. We so appreciate them going truly above and beyond to show us their compassion and excellent customer service.

Adah Deveaux: This review is for the starbucks within target. My drinks were great but a little of a wait. The actual target was customary.

Target: what do users think?

Sassy Sauce: This store opened a couple years ago and it’s always nice and clean. The day I went after work the store must have just received a truck because there were boxes of product on most of the aisles. But this store is generally very clean and organized. This isn’t a normal sized target though, it’s definitely smaller and has more of a convenient store type feel. But all of the normal Target staples are still there. There is parking under the store and it’s accessible using the escalators or elevator. There is a Starbucks as well. It’s a great store to visit!

livingmytruth 2: Joan has the best customer service ever. I came in this location with my 98 year old grandma and she made my grandma feel sooo good and proud and she really has a positive attitude. Thank you for making my grandmother’s shopping experience so pleasant . I will actually make this my home store now because of her pleasant demeanor

Michaels: what do users think?

Rickey Anderson: They have so many wonderful items to complete any DIY craft you have in mind

David Zeledon: The framing department is simply fantastic. I got three diplomas framed here and Sonya that helped me out was the best. She works meticulously and her attention to detail and customer satisfaction is second to none!! Thanks again, again.

HAPPY CRAFTY CAT: I was trying to find this paper pad at various locations in my area. However, online it says the stores in my area have them i go there and nothing. It has been two weeks and yet nothing. I was told to give it some days and i did. OFCOURSE nothing. I do appreciate the staff who went out of their way to look for it at the Wisconsin ave location. It seems there is a system mix up online as i found other crafty people have been looking for it too. The IT TEAM SHOULD FIX THIS. VERY MISS LEADING ONLINE WHEN IT SAYS WHAT LOCAL STORES HAVE WHAT IT IS THAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AND THE QUANTITY AND THERE IS NOTHING WHEN YOU ARRIVE TO PURCHASE IT. OTHER THAN THAT THE STORE WAS CLEAN, NICELY ORGANIZED, AND STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND READY TO ASSIST. 💞

Target: what do users think?

Kerry Delf: Small but fairly well provisioned food section, with both snack foods and some home groceries, heavy on the convenience foods. Prices are high but better than other stores in the area. Conveniently open until 11 p.m. on Saturdays, in an area where other stores close at 9 or 10, but it closes earlier on other days of the week. Free parking with store validation. Downside: Service was sparse and heavily dependent on self-service—there were no employees on the floor helping customers, and of three employees around the checkout counter, only one was operating a register, quite lackadaisically.

Peyton Doyle: Great small format Target in a really accessible part of Cleveland Park (and just steps from the Metro stop). Impressed with their selection of fresh foods. Nice home goods section too. Unique underground store. Really friendly employees! I will certainly be back.

Larry Gamble: I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the surroundings is a very beautiful place with a lot of awesome deals! it was a very nice experience for people are just super awesome everybody was all friendly and lot of excitement going on just keep it in the parking lot list fire I loved it

M P: Free parking but you MUST get your ticket validated in store. Great for quick Target run. You can always find helpful employees and if you don’t see what you are looking for ask and they’ll get it in stock. Great manager. Super clean store. Perfect location.

Sassi Whayz: Clean store, I love the floor separate.. x feels like a department store. Found a new favorite lady part cleaner

Maketto: what do users think?

Cameron Chase: Maketto was really interesting, I think the overall decor left me wondering where I was, but the food kept me around for sure. You’re asked to order on your phone and close out your tab there as well. Servers run all the food from the kitchen across the way into the restaurant. We had the cauliflower, the wings, and the Cambodian inspired salad, which were all delicious. I was amazed by the flavors and plating of the foods. I really enjoyed this place with the decor aside!

Christopher Chung: Food is one of a kind, combining the very best in flavors of Cambodian and Taiwanese cuisines. While everything on the menu is thoroughly satisfying, favorites include crystal shrimp dumplings, spicy cauliflower, Cambodian pho and Maketto fried chicken. Come in a party of more than 2 to try more dishes! A unique oasis combining restaurant, coffee shop, bar, vinyl store, and clothier. Refined and subdued interior. A must-see for folks visiting from out of town.

Thang Phu: Delicious! It is a bit further away from the central businesses, but we are so glad to have tried it. Very unique flavors and a very novel fusion of Asian foods. They also make good chai tea! I had my doubts when trying businesses that offer a wide variety of food and drinks that are often specialized, but they are very good.

Rachel U: Finally got to try Maketto! So glad I stopped in for lunch. Sat upstairs at the bar, socially distant from other patrons. This place is such a vibe, retail and restaurant. For lunch I had the pork bao buns- *chefs kiss* veggie spring rolls- fried to perfection, and spicy beef rice bowl- tasty, good amount of spice. Plenty of food, enough to pack home.

Kit Lai Pine: When my family and I visited Washington DC earlier, we couldn’t wait to eat at Maketto again. The outdoor was well decorated and spaced out. We ordered crystal shrimp dumplings, spring rolls, bone marrow laab, crispy chicken wings and duck noodle soup. Every thing was delicious particularly the duck noodle soup and crispy chicken wings. The portion of the duck noodle soup was large and the duck was crispy. All the ingredients were fresh and high quality. Friendly staff! A must in DC!

Christopher Gillespie: The service is great, quick, once you work the app properly. The tea was delicious, great selection too. The best app was the pancake, super unique esp with the sourdough. The Yu Choy also a unique dish, nice bitterness to the salt/sauce. Really cool spot, awesome decor and just get the chicken...

Shabnam K: The food was great and authentic. I really enjoyed the ambiance too. The only recommendation to the staff is that: if someone is wants to dine in alone, you don’t have to multiple times ask her whether she is waiting for someone. It’s normal to dine in alone.

Amy Kunkel: We loved Maketto! We’re big fans of the ordering from phone system and our waiter was super attentive and super nice. The host was also amazing. We ordered a bunch of food and had so much leftover. Super yummy! The spicy beef with rice was a favorite of many. We had our three kids with us (15, 12, 9) and they were entertained by the records, VHS tapes, and vintage toys. The host talked to us when we were done eating and was very attentive to the kids. Overall great experience!!

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?

virginie gimenez: You do not go to Barnes for its uniqueness but for its endearing familiarity. I absolutely love this brand. A Barnes and Noble is an experience for readers who loves well organized, trendy, and easy access best sellers. This is not a place for readers who love used books, who loves to try to find something old and smelly. Today I went to browse out the horror section and I get a happy feeling just looking at new, unopened novels. I discovered or rediscovered favorites and fell for intriguing covers. You also go to Barnes and No le for its fun puzzles, desk decoration, and unique board game only sold there.

Peaches and Sourcream Children’s Foundation, inc.: The Peaches and Sourcream Children’s Foundation, Inc. really loves and appreciate the staff at this location. It is because of their generosity they helped to jumpstart our new initiative allowing the organization to build libraries in ten homes for children in grades Kindergarten-3rd. Starting in September until June ( based on the school year) each child receives 1-3 books monthly. The books are bestsellers and highly engaging. We can not thank them enough— special shout out to assistant store manager Heather!❤️

Paulette Paglia: Very nice store with friendly knowledgeable staff. I did not even gave to ask for assistance. An employee saw my looking confused and immediately came to help direct me to what I was looking for. She even took the time to walk me to that section.

Weekend Warrior: A great little cafe and book store. Everything is spaced out and I enjoyed my time here. Try to respect the 30 minute rule for everyone to sit and enjoy.

Shaun Hill: There are so few bookstores left around these days that it’s hard to have anything to compare it too. This location is close enough for me to visit during my lunch breaks, and I enjoy just browsing l. The layout is nice and allows plenty of room to peruse.

A Mac: I can walk in this place and explore all the books for hours.

Walmart Supercenter: what do users think?

Sassy Sauce: Mixed experience with this store. It’s a good location and there is parking available in the underground garage. First 2 hours are free. The store has items locked in a case that I couldn’t understand. For example, women’s underwear and some personal hygiene items. Also, the store wasn’t too crowded while I was there and the associate I asked to help me gave me clear directions as to what aisle the product I needed would on. The parts of the store I visited were clean and the overall shopping experience was ok. No major complaints. Just strange observations about profits being locked behind glass.
