Jean Mars: Really knowledgeable trainer, loved the in depth explanation of how dates & times work in Excel. I never really understood how it works, but now it all makes sense.

General Assembly Washington DC: what do users think?

Augusto Cangahuala: Nice new location that just opened a couple of weeks ago. The office has ben nicely decorated. The interior design is cool and inviting. The rooms are well equipped and once they get over the adjusting period I am sure it will earn mainly 5 stars. The staff is very friendly and the I instructor we had for the UX immersive class was fun and knowledgeable. She made the group feel comfortable and catered to all the different levels of the students in the class.

Abby Roskind: I took the HTML, CSS and Web Design circuit and the Front End Web Development course at General Assembly and the classes launched me into a whole new world of professional possibilities. The instructional team is knowledgeable, compassionate, and adept at handling questions/ issues from people with varying levels of technological expertise. Between classes and office hours, I never felt like I was behind or felt like I had outstanding questions — the instructors are very responsive. The courses will teach you a lot and open doors to a number of other interests and career possibilities. I would say it's worth the money and I enjoyed my time in class.

Michael Lai: I had an awesome immersive experience(web development). A lot of ups and downs but that is to be expected when you're doing a career change. Immersive (9am-5pm) and part time (usually evenings) courses available for 10-12 weeks. Instructors are very knowledgeable and provide a great learning atmosphere. Free peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and coffee!

Becca Rogers: Love GA! I took a couple workshops at another campus and had such an awesome experience that I applied for a job at GA DC. I've had a great experience with the workshops and weekend bootcamps -- in particular, the Code in One Day, Excel, SEO, and SQL bootcamps. My absolute favorite so far has been the visual design workshop -- I still incorporate what I learned in that class into my job. The instructors are passionate, fun, accessible, & are definitely experts in their industries.

Matthew Villemain: I participated in a two-day bootcamp which I felt gave me the fundamental UX designer skills that I needed to be able to take back to my current career. I appreciated the trainer's use of real world examples and I felt that I was able to take the concepts and apply them to my own projects. The small group setting was inviting and I achieved what I was looking for out of the course.

Perfect Perfect: I wish I read these reviews before going to this company. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY!!!!!! I regret that I joined General Assembly. It's a scam. They don't teach you anything different than something that you can find on YouTube and Google for free. They don't teach you the necessary skills you need for the job. I am still unemployed and it's been 8 months. I would be happy if there is any way I can get my money back because it doesn't worth it. I should have payed for my first year college tuition instead of spending 15K on NOTHING. I am so disappointed!.

Taylor Camille Hood: It's always a great time at General Assembly and i love their new location. Plenty of space for the classes and activities and so organized. I'll be returning on a regular. Keep in mind that you have to climb a lot of stairs to get to their space in the building, so it doesn't seem handicap accessible. Also the bathrooms are unisex. Doesn't bother me, but some people don't like that.

Namrata Patel: Please do not spend or loan $14k in hope of getting a dream job. Me and my husband spent and really regret it now. HR is really hopeless and you are all by yourself once you dive in. My husband worked day and nite and went thru numerous interviews and is still jobless after 6 months. Having said that in IT industry only people with degrees are preferred. People who actually have talent are ignored purely because you don't have "degree". We have two small kids and this risk affected us badly financially. Many of his classmates are jobless too. It's very sad. Please please don't spend $14K. Go to YouTube and many other websites who teach courses for free or some petty fee BUT please do not spend money here.

David Deptula: BEWARE Veterans! This place is A Scam! They will just take your GI Benefits and leave you high and dry! Lally the Regional Director only cares about her title, what you can do for her, and how much money she can get out of you! The staff is racist/discriminary, unapproachable, and unprofessional! This is just another example of veterans profiting from other veterans!!!

Robert Devost: Pretty uninspiring session with multiple technical difficulties. I could have done a 45-second Google search to find the same information. Won't be returning for another session. The website and general marketing/branding make GA look a lot more professional than it really is ...

Softek Services, Inc.: what do users think?

Charlotte Lewis: Great experience! I recently took the introductory courses for Microsoft Access and Visio. The instructors were extremely patient, informative, and kept the pace of the class flowing and participants interacting. We were provided with book materials, but I learned heavily from the instructor examples, and they walked me through each exercise. Class times may vary. The two intro classes I took lasted from 9AM-4PM with sufficient breaks. The costs also vary. Each full day class was approximately $300, but there are group rates if your organization enrolls together. IT can be rough, but they made it very interesting!

Austin Graff: I work in digital marketing for a large human rights organization and was looking for an intro to Photoshop class to help me in creating social media shareables. I researched a few places in DC and Softek offered the course at a reasonable price. Since the price tag was lower than others i looked at, I assumed it wouldn't be as great of quality, but I was wrong. The class was from 9AM-4PM and I learned more than the basics of Photoshop. The instructor was very knowledgeable and had a way to really connect with her students in explaining complex ideas. I highly recommend this place for Photoshop training! After just one class, I tested what I learned and made this social media shareable: on.fb.me/1rxsYEl. Thanks, Softek!

Paul Drew: I loved the quality of teaching. Everything was so easy to learn. Michelle was so hilarious throughout all 3 days. Would love to go back to a different classes.

Jonathan Etheridge: Great school and staff to teach literally everything about Tech and Computers, preparing you for your certification and/or career or career advancement. Great place as the IT industry is last of a dying breed!.

Sandra Brooks-Burr: I start the day the school first open, it has been and awesome experience, graduation is set for July 20, 2018. This has become like a second home. I will truly miss the staff here. I recommend this school to all that are willing to try.

New Horizons Computer Learning Centers: what do users think?

Khari Garrett: You'd be better off taking courses at a community college. I only had one teacher in this school that actually taught really substantial information in a way that the entire class could understand. The other teacher was a daily series of soliloquies who did not possess the ability to explain course materials in a flexible fashion. In addition, the school handles some things im a very immoral fashion. First, if you are a veteran, the school will raise your tuition, after you start courses, so they can charge the government more. I'd think veterans would want to stretch their GI Bill funds as far ac possible. Finally, the was an incident where one student lightly assaulted another student over a simple conversation about GOT, and the school did absolutely nothing about it. This school is horrible and I believe if more classroom students at the McLean location weren't so afraid of rubbing someone the wrong way, this place wood have more negative reviews. Honestly, if you really want to learn, at least hop to a community college where class costs are low, where teachers don't have to cram so much information into a short period of time, and where you don't have to repeat the class more than once to gain the substance needed.

Khalid Darab: Critical: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueBunch of false advertising, teachers just waste time and read directly from the book, career guy doesn't even help you find a real job, horrible school. They ripped me off for a lot of money, almost $19,000. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, stay away, you're better off self studying.

Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies: what do users think?

Hemant Gaule: Great institution, excellent faculty and resources available to students. A lot of impressive events and conferences are hosted at the institute.

Amy Friedlander: Like many others have said, the support staff, to include the Deans Office, is absolutely awful. Unhelpful, discourteous, unprofessional. I expected so much more from this institution, but the SCS is a disappointment and can only be described as a mediocre school at best.

Larry Poe: The classes and the professors are superlative. However, I concur with many comments here....THE SUPPORT STAFF SUCKS!!! You expect a lot more from the admissions office, registrar and folks that answer the phones (oh, by the way, if you call the SCS you usually receive the voice mail) when you pay 60K for a Master's degree. Georgetown is truly "resting on its laurels" and academic reputation in the customer service department. Every time I needed assistance from someone, it was as if I was asking for a favor and not paying for a service (lots of attitude and unhelpful comments). CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TRULY NOT A PRIORITY AT THIS INSTITUTION....
Response: Dear Larry, Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding Georgetown SCS’s Emergency & Disaster Management program in the Middle East. We’re sorry to hear that the student support services have not met your expectations thus far. We’d very much appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further about your experience and do what we can to help with any outstanding issues. A member of your program support team will be reaching out to you as soon as possible to arrange a time to discuss. Sincerely, Office of the Dean, SCS

Karina Valverde: I love being a student on campus again. In pursuit of my masters in Public Relations and Corporate Communications. This campus is for the grad school and certificate programs. The culture is professional, high caliber students.

Patrick Revord: Convenient location, beautiful building, great instruction and great classmates. Georgetown runs a class act, even away from its main campus.

Monica Puerto: I enrolled into the Data Science Certificate Program at Georgetown. It is a waste of money and your time unless you have a robust background in Python. Most students did not because this certificate program appears to help you turn into one. I have background in SQL and data analytics and was hoping to gather some skills to make me a data scientist. Although I understand that a certificate program can’t turn you into one (although the marketing and messaging of this makes it appear so with the “robust” curriculum). This was purely taught on slides and wish it was more hands on. It is very expensive and you don’t start learning till the 3rd class. The first class was an introduction on what is data science (around $900) for some powerpoint you could have read at home. Second class was to get into groups to create a data product on a process that you barely know about. I recommend General Assembly they are more hands on. Although they don’t have the prestigious name (which I think Georgetown takes advantage of to teach this way), you will learn more and actually do projects AFTER you learn the material. I thankfully dropped out and sadly was only refunded the classes I did not take although intro to data science and getting into groups does not feel like real classes..
Response: Dear Monica—Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding Georgetown SCS’s Data Science Certificate program. We’re sorry to hear that the program did not meet your expectations. We've received your feedback on the course and have worked to integrate improvements, including communicating the Python expectation and resources available to students. We invite you to speak further about your experience by contacting a staff member of the Center for Continuing and Professional Education by email at ccpeprograms@georgetown.edu or by calling 202-687-8128. Sincerely, Andrew (Office of the Dean, SCS Georgetown University)

Don Johnson: Thought Google users might enjoy seeing what this building looked like in 1919.(credit: Library of Congress)

Rose T.J. Perna: Georgetown SCS staff are unorganized, unresponsive and unprofessional. My son had a horrible experience with the administration. They do not return phone calls or emails. It may be an "elite school" but the SCS program has less than stellar staff and administration. I hope that they clean up quick, his actual program was very well and the insturctors were very qualified. But if you need a document or any type of administration assistance- you'd be better off going to another school.
Response: Hi Rose! Thank you for your message. We're sorry to hear about your experience. Thanks for being in touch so we were able to resolve your issue.

Gouled Hosh: I would like to study here for my EHLS program next year.

syed pervez: One of the best schools in DMV area.

Graduate School USA: what do users think?

Francesca Baldanzi: I called and write multiple times to get some information about a Grant Management certificate but nobody ever call me back or wrote me back. There is not enough information on the website and it is not clear. I ended up clicking on the enroll button to try to get some information about costs and it came a message saying that I’m enrolled in the program. I was nervous that I had to pay or required to do something. I wrote to ask that they remove me from their lists but nobody answered. Poor support service and orientation. I won’t bother waist if my time here.

Jennifer Champlin: My company chose this institution because I needed a course that relates to my job and they offered it sooner than my organization. They spend money to send me there but only authorize me to stay until the last day of the course as my company does not want to pay an additional night for the hotel to leave the following day. I leave the class early on the last day, as I told the instructor, and they refuse to issue the certificate even though the instructor agreed that my leaving early would be fine and they would mail the certificate. I emailed several people explaining this situation and no one has responded back and one person told me to refer to the rules and regulations page on their website. The certificate refusal needs to be on the registration page!!! Duh people! They do not honor agreements, nor are they customer oriented.

Anthony Johnson: I took an auditing course and I was extremely disappointed. The content of the course was dated and poorly organized. The instructor was never prepared and could not answer students’ questions. The instructor was supposedly a retired professional, however, that seemed far from the truth. The instructor was constantly confused by the content and would skip content that the instructor didn’t understand. Don’t waste your own or your agency’s money here.

Quenby Wilcox: Recently had training at this facility and lets just say everything is and was unorganized. Lets just start with calling into to register. I specifically spoke with a juanita who I later found never registered me for a Dc course but registered me for a san diego course. I showed up for a class just to later find out it was not offered in the dc location. Upset is an understatement . Never will attend this facility again .

Kevin T: Highly recommend institution and work-related programming.

Kevin Brackney: Good source for professional development for the federal employee.

B. W.: Tremendous school for instruction in government training.

Daygo Blasian: Horrible customer service, a product of their environment

Aletta Catoe: Great training and instructors!!

Charles Boozell: Nothing is five stars
