Michael Brown: As a company, REI should not inflict their political beliefs onto customers. That said, they carry good gear and this particular location is fantastic. Every time I have come here they have exactly what I need. The staff are friendly and helpful and generally knowledgeable. I don’t know who makes REI branded clothes and gear, but they do a good job.

Mike R: I like this store for so many reasons. First: they have excellent customer service. Today I walked in with my bike to get my flat tire fixed. A woman approached me and signed me in. Then a man walked up to me and asked if I would like to him to park my bike. I was appalled by this gesture. Second: This establishment has everything here. I mean like… leave that bike area if you want to. You will be buying anything from energy gel to underwear. Third: conveniently located right beside the metro.

High five to Micah in footwear who helped me find a size in a scarpa I haven’t been able to find in stores in 4 years. He’s super knowledgeable and was connecting with all the customers. Patrick F.: The 2 stars is not for the products, it's for the lack of service. Lord forbid you need some help. I waited forever even after pushing this button (photo) and a guy that was helping someone else acknowledged they heard me and would be coming. Still waiting as I type this. FYI, I have purched thousands from this store....sigh!!

Louisa Buatti: I visited REI for the first time since the pandemic began. My pick up of an online order went very smoothly. Every staff person I encountered was friendly and helpful--they all offered to direct me to the customer service/pick up area. I was in and out of the store in a flash.

Andrea Wu: I came here to pick up my shoes that I ordered online, and after trying them out in nature, they were too big so I came back to return and get new ones. The staff helping me was very helpful, bringing me different shoes for me to try on. I finally got a pair that fit properly, and checkout was pretty speedy too. Parking on the street might be a bit tough, but it's not too bad!

H Gill: Great store! love REI… but checking out here is always a 15 min wait. The checkout line moves at a snail’s pace, and the managers/supervisors don’t seem to care. I’ve seen customers put items down and leave out of frustration.

Rebecca Tolbert: Generally a good store, but the parking situation is currently very weird. You park in the parking deck and then have to walk all the way around a whole city block because they have blocked off the elevator and stairs. So, you drive into the parking deck and then have this surprise journey ahead of you, through a sketchy alley and everything. Just wanted to give other customers a heads up!

Ben Layton: Bike shop effectively closes at 6:30, not 7:00, since you have to get on a wait-list to get the bike checked in and the wait-list closes at 6:30. Called in advance and told them when I'd get there and they didn't mention that, so came all the way here for nothing. Turnaround on basic repairs also 9-10 days rn, which is honestly nuts.

R: Oddly enough they aren’t dog friendly yet I saw a pitbull walking around without a service vest. The area around is horrendous, good luck finding a parking spot. Really disappointed that REIs aren’t dog friendly yet their competitors REI and Bass Pro is.

Tim Tousey: Quality of the furniture is great, but the product availability and hassle of actually getting what we paid for was quite the opposite. After getting half of what was purchased a couple weeks after it was promised, we cancelled the remaining items save for an umbrella. When we heard the umbrella was ready for pickup (couple of months and a different fabric later) we called to confirm that we could come get it, only to learn that it hadn’t made it to the store from the warehouse after all. So we wait another week…. Just really unimpressed and inconvenienced with the delivery aspects of the operation.

Rich Wilhelm: We bought a wonderful 6-seat table, chairs and Treasure Garden umbrella that have given us great pleasure on our very sunny back deck. I arrived near closing time, but Terrance and Roderick were very helpful getting us exactly what we wanted, no matter the time. Pleasant and personable, they made sure I got an affordable price too!

Clifford Crittenden: Two stars — one star for being open and one for selling outdoor furniture. Other than nailing their basic business function, we found Offenbachers in Rockville to be a suboptimal experience. We arrived on a busy Saturday and waited for 30 minutes before an associate looked our way. We understood the constraints of being short staffed and patiently waited our time. Once helped, our sales associate seemed less than interested in us as customers, and as I was asking for pricing information he expressed an interests in talking to other customers. We had spent less then five minutes with him. My wife and I left and 90 minutes later spent a great deal of money at another outdoor furniture store, and feel great about our purchase and never having to consider Offenbachers again.

Lisa Sarnovsky: Great experience overall. We visited the Rockville store a few weeks ago and had Steve as our salesperson. Steve was patient and knowledgable, explaining the differences in patio furniture options (construction, fabrics, anticipated customer order waiting periods, etc.). After about an hour of asking questions and testing things out, we decided to order a mix of items in stock and floor models. We received a phone call a few days ahead of delivery and again that same day with the confirmed delivery time. Everything showed up in good condition and the delivery service was highly professional. We are going to be enjoying our high quality patio furniture for years to come.

Ann Yetter: My husband and came to Offenbachers to checkout new outdoor furniture after a family member broke through the seat of our outdoor chairs. The outdoor furniture we were using was purchased from Offenbachers well over 15 years ago. It has sat out on our deck, uncovered, through every imaginable weather and held up exceptionally. It was time to get new, so we traveled to the Offenbachers store, just to look around. Brenda greeted us and told us to feel free to look around and asked if we had questions. We explained what we wanted, and she worked with me and my indecision for over an hour. She gave us suggestions, and then gave us time to contemplate. When we decided to buy, she sat with us, and helped us with size, shape, and color of the deck furniture. It was delivered before the estimated date, placed on my deck, and the trash removed. It is beautiful! The service, delivery (we didn’t have to be home) and follow up have been exceptional. Although the furniture is pricey, we know it will last years and will still be beautiful.

Michelle De Jong: Brenda gave me exceptional customer service! I arrived without an appointment but she welcomed me into the store since no other customers were there. She was very knowledgeable about the products, very personable, and engaging. The table and chairs I ordered were in stock. A few days later she called to say only four chairs were in stock. I was having family in town so she took it upon herself to find two other chairs. She did a fantastic job!!

Emily Shaw: I love this place--such a friendly neighborhood vibe. I get all my plants here, and this one guy who works there (sorry don't remember the name) is my plant guru. They will repot your plants for a small fee if you bring them in, which is so helpful when you live in an apartment. Also--their plants are so reasonably priced!! I bought a gorgeous 7-foot fiddle leaf fig on a whim because the price was literally a quarter of what you'd pay at [unnamed nearby plant shop]. Thank you for everything you do!!

Paul Durbin: If you want service and quick check out go to True Value on 17th. Completely different experience with knowledgeable staff ready for you at the door who will help you and then check you out right away. 100% of the true value staff knows their stuff. Here it’s mainly people who will just check you out and don’t know hardware. This place has equally good inventory and later hours, but it’s not a hardware store experience. And for what it’s worth this is an Ace Hardware, which advertises on Fox News, should you want to avoid supporting Fox.

Baba Harsh: This place is great, I understand it's a mom and pop shop but man the prices are super high. The people are somewhat helpful but got a lot of short answers. Ended up at Home Depot.

Stacy B: Last summer we bought a fantastic Artisan hot tub for delivery in November. Unfortunately, like so many things, delivery was delayed due to supply chain issues. We just got it last week, installed it and decided to fill it the first evening back from a holiday. Unfamiliar with the set up, and having some teething problems during a freezing night, We were concerned about freezing inside the cold system. The next day Steve came out from the store and did all the set up and got it running. He and Rosanne have been extremely helpful.

christine dolce: I called Offenbachers looking for a base for an umbrella I had bought from another company online. The pole and the base did not fit and I was sure I had bought the wrong base. Lynn was so helpful discussing my problem, even suggesting I look around for the missing piece before ordering ordering another base from her. I found the piece in my basement and she talked me through putting it together! That's service! Next time I will buy from Offenbachers.

Sherri C: Everything went smoothly from sale to delivery. We got what we custom ordered, in the anticipated timeframe, amf in the delivery timeframe. We had tried to order this same custom patio furniture from Great Gatherings but Great Gatherings screwed up the order THREE times. Home Escapes/Offenbachers got it right the first time AND cheaper!

Darrell Gehrt: We bought our Caldera Spa from Rosanne at Home Escapes (now Offenbachers) five years ago. We still soak every week. Our kids, now 16 and 13, both play sports and they love to soak as well. Best advice, which i didn’t believe at first, is that the spa becomes another living space. My best conversations with my 16 year old son are when we are sitting in the tub. No phones, just talking. Both the sales experience, and the service have been phenomenal as they are very responsive. That said, in the five years I have owned this spa i have not once had to go into the service cabinet. I run the Frog system, change water 2-3 times per year and just take care of the water, and no other maintenance. I have proudly referred several of my friends who have also bought and raved about their experience with Rosanne, Dave, and the entire Offenbachers/Home Escapes crew. If you are thinking about a spa, you owe it to yourselves to talk with Rosanne and team. You will be happy you did!

Roland Miller: Last week my wife and I purchased a patio sitting and dinning set. We had an overall wonderful experience at the Annapolis store. I think what made our experience so exceptional, was our salesman Frank Russo. Frank was incredibly knowledgeable about products in the store. Frank was a “non-salesman,” he kept offering to leave my wife and I so we could look by ourselves. My wife kept telling him to stay close so he could answer questions. When we had tentatively decided on what we wanted Frank said he did want to be a “pushy salesman.” Frank said it was perfectly fine if we wanted to leave for a bite to eat and come back after we had time to discuss the purchase. We did not leave, we were very comfortable in our decisions made with Frank’s assistance.

Karen Aragon: My family purchased a hot tub at the start of the pandemic, and while it took longer than originally planned (because of the shut down) Offenbachers was very upfront with me on length of time, and kept me updated throughout. When we finally got it - from delivery (delivery guys were amazing!), to set up, it was worth the wait. I highly recommend purchasing a hot tub from Offenbachers - fair price and great customer service

Robert Forrester: Jodie was great in helping us make our selection. We had a good selection; fair pricing and a great crew for delivery and set up. We’re very happy with the new furniture for our screened porch. It replaces a set we bought from Offenbachers over 29 years ago. That set still has life on the patio below the porch.

Joyce Freedman: Offenbachers is the best place to buy Hot tubs and patio furniture. They have a great selection, and the customer service is unbelievable. Dave and Jackie worked diligently to help me design my deck, patio, fire pit and hot tub. I made so many trips to the store, and they always welcomed my questions and solved my design problems. Dave, the owner, even came to my house to survey the yard and proposed solutions so I could get that “Better Homes and Gardens” result. I highly recommend Offenbachers for all your outdoor needs. hahahas lkjhgg: Well stocked. And variety of items to choose from. The staff are always friendly. Every time I go there they will assist me with smiles on their faces. Highly recommend!

Nick Ewing: I always try to do my hardware shopping in this location. Employees are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Store is always well cleaned and well stocked. Perfect location to drop off UPS packages as well!

Chris Aresu: A+ neighborhood hardware store. The staff is very knowledgeable, and has provided help on a number of home projects where I’ve been stuck. Definitely recommend.

Lou Feagans (Louie): Nice selection of products, clean helpful shopping environment. However, they do not respect the Brookland neighborhood and place signs illegally on street lights and blocking sidewalks. Can not recommend supporting a business that does not respect the neighborhood within which it operates.

Sharon Winget: Another reason why I love this hardware store--amazing customer service. Today they accepted the return of a product I purchased there more than one month ago, without the receipt. Turns out if you use your Ace Rewards # on purchases they have a record of it. On multiple occasions I have turned to them after a frustrating experience at Lowe's or HD and received personalized service from one of their many knowledgeable staff to find what I needed or to get helpful suggestions or directions on how to get something done, ie paint my kitchen cabinets. Can't recommend these folks highly enough.

Stephan Roberts: Amazing service! I accidentally ordered the wrong thing for a project and Thomas and the rest of the staff made sure I got what I needed and delivered it the same day.

Conor O'Brien: A+ customer service It’s not the biggest hardware store, but they have an impressive amount of tools and supplies in the shop. Really helpful with regard to lawn care projects in particular. Great knowledge of local soil and the best grass seed for the hot summers.

Anelise Cimino: This is my go to place for any household thing I need. It always has everything and is always stocked. But what makes me give this place five stars is the customer service. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is extremely nice, helpful and neighborly. I love going in with my dogs and saying hello. It brightens up my day to go in there and THAT'S a rare thing these days.

Lisa-Marie Brandt: Wonderful experience at this Annie's. Needed some screws and the person working in that aisle really helped me a lot. He took the time to listen and find just what I needed, and I solved my furniture problem when I got home! Thanks to the staff, who are all really helpful and nice! Will be returning for any future hardware/garden issues.

I went in seeking a screw that would fit a warped sleeve in a new piece of furniture, and Chris went above and beyond to help me fix my problem. He asked me to bring in my furniture, offered me a dolly to wheel it in from my car, and used some tools free of charge at the store to help get the screw properly threaded so I could finish building my furniture. It was so kind of him to offer his assistance, I likely would have had to exchange the furniture if I didn’t have his help. I have come to this location a few times and I have always been incredibly impressed by the service. Huge thank you to Chris!

Jessica C: I take my dog here twice a week while I browse their new plant selections. The staff are all so nice and helpful. I love that they shower my dog with attention. My dog loves it too. She always tries to drag me in for treats. They have a great plant selection. They change things up but you can usually find a good array of basics and less common plants. They often have small hoyas, peperomias, aglaonemas, and other stuff I’m looking for. I always look forward to checking out the new stock on Wednesday and Friday. Thanks, Ace

I came in to get help on a piece of furniture with a striped nail, and Chris at the store was THE BEST!! We tried to get this screw out on our own and weren't successful, and we wouldn't have been able to do it without Chris' help!

I love how they know where every item is specifically located - like really! Upon entry, you’re on main isle. To your left are short isles leading to registers. Staff always escort me through store or to elevator where I’m met by another team member on lower level. Ayesha, General Manager, allows items to be opened for me when possible so I can feel item. I especially love their text message lime where consumers can ask questions before visiting store. Great Team!

koura Gibson: Disappointed to be rudely treated for “walking into store” before opening. The door was wide opened and I entered only to be charged aggressively by the 3 attending employees, shouting for me to exit. I had to calm them down of their excitement to reprimand me for entering the store. There was no indication that the store was not opened. No hours were posted ether. Then the older guy rudely and aggressively closed the door as I exited. He then snarkly stated “I guess!” When informing him that 8:00 was in 14 minutes. It was really disappointing to have to endure such rudeness in the morning.

Al Boyd: Customer service, was excellent. But I didn't appreciate being mistaken for a thief. I had the receipt was in my bag. I am a retired police officer, I don't need too steal anything from anyone.

Nathan Deunk: Very convenient location, and they've really improved the store since they moved locations. Unfortunately, Fragers employees and contractors consistently endanger the residents of the surrounding community by illegally parking on both 11th SE and Pennsylvania SE. I can't support a store that cares so little for their neighbors, especially when those neighbors are their customers.

Stephanie Shipp: Well, here's a one star in lieu of a no stars. Purchased an ACE water sprinkler a couple of months ago which was leaking badly when I fired it up in our first warm spell. I read the ACE guarantee on the back that says if not completely satisfied bring it back for a replacement or exchange. Which I did...only to be told ACES are independently operated and that this store's guarantee is only good for 30 days. So two strikes you're out.....your product stinks and your guarantee stinks. On to Amazon, goodbye ACE.

Betsy York: The beachfront room was a disaster for $120 a night. The plumbing underneath the wood floors was broken and water flowed up out of the floor for two days. Large cockroaches crawled up the walls at night and there was no toilet paper or tissues. My favorite was no hot water for the shower. I decided that after staying here for over 20 years, it is time to move on. When I told the desk clerk about the broken pipe he said I shouldn't worry about it, probably was a leaking air conditioner.

Roger Torres: This is a great hardware store. Ace has a little bit of everything and in some cases more than specialty store. For instance the plumbing section has more fittings than HD Lowes or Furgerson. Ace is well stock and the sales associate are super friendly. My one dislike and this is why I gave it 4 ⭐️s not the 5 ⭐️s. The prices are in most cases twice as Home Depot and Lowes. Some times triple the price. I’m in the home remodeling/handyman business and it’s time consuming to run to get one piece of 2x4x8 so I end up paying three times the price. I know it’s a convenience but they are the only once that get away with doubling the price. Anyway Indo like the if I know that they carry the item it will be in stock. This particular location has underground parking and it’s free for the first hour.

Davron Nigmatov: Very helpful staff. Good variety of tools for your home. I bought adjustable wrench and pliers. The wrench didn't fit and I returned without any problem. You'll find good quality tools for reasonable price.

John Newman: I like this Ace Hardware. I was looking for a water additive for my humidifier and they had it in stock. It is a small store. Rather tight quarters, but a large selection. Attitudes at the register can be good or not so good. Depends on who is on the schedule that day.

Stephen Schwartz: Small ace hardware store tucked away in the parking garage, but good for a quick in and out for specific items. Not going to have the largest selection, but that's probably not why you are headed here anyway! Edit: updating my review here as per the response below. They expanded the store a LOT - it's maybe 33% to 50% larger now which has a lot more stock.

BLU CHRUSH MEGA TRUCK: Staff is super , I called ahead to make sure what I needed was in stock, and when I walked in the door some 11 minutes later I was greeted as if he knew me ! In and out although I did park on the curb and ride the stairs down due to my work truck not fitting in the parking garage, PS, the stamp your ticket so ya don't pay for parking here!

20TH Century Archivist: Disbelieve all positive reviews for the ACE Hardware in Glover Park. The staff there is rude, unhelpful, incompetent and pay absolutely no attention to customer safety. This explains why today was my last shopping trip to the ACE Hardware in Glover Park. I was walking through one of the aisles in the ACE Hardware in Glover Park and was looking at items on a shelf when I suddenly was tripped and fell to the floor: the staff left several thick and heavy sealed cardboard boxes scattered right on the floor. A store employee came to see what had happened and when she saw me rising from the floor she then promptly lost all interest. The employee "apologized" in an insincere manner and was offended when I criticized her and the store for leaving boxes scattered on the floor for customers to trip on, claiming that she was not the employee responsible. Although I haven't encountered scattered boxes previously in the in the ACE Hardware in Glover Park, the staff there does place too much merchandise in the aisles: they are totally incompetent and rude and cannot properly run the store. Placing heavy sealed cardboard boxes on the store floor for customers to trip on is absolutely the dumbest thing store employees can do: Washington, DC store employees can be among the worst, but I have never encountered such flagrant incompetence in a store in this city before today. The Yelp reviewers posting here leaving all of those five-star reviews probably have never shopped often in the ACE Hardware in Glover Park or spent much time in the store when shopping there. All of the Washington, DC area ACE Hardware stores are poorly staffed and managed, but the Glover Park location is the very worst and has been getting worse since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic: they are unable to deal with more customer demand. For your own safety and sanity, please avoid the ACE Hardware in Glover Park! You will find Lowe’s or the Home Depot to be a safer, saner, and more courteous environment!

Sassy Sauce: Great discounts on Christmas items as part of the holiday sale. I picked up Christmas stockings for under $5.00. There were fire pits on clearance as well. I like this location and they generally have the items I’m in need of for repairs or decorations, etc. The staff is very helpful as well.

Stuart Miles-McLean: I don't like all the self check out lines which are killing jobs. They did have things I was looking for in the wild bird and critter section, but it appears they need more employees -- all over the store -- to keep the inventory organized and properly shelved and labeled. The employees I did encounter were very helpful and friendly; it just looked like they need more of them.

Kev- keepingitreal: This location offers a variety of affordable items for your home improvement needs. I really appreciate the staff in the aisle for assisting me with finding items on my check list. At check out the cashier was welcoming and friendly. This store was very clean and offers plenty of parking.

Jessica Fullington: Today I went to the garden center for some outside plants. Yolanda was so very helpful! She was able to answer my questions, she even went and got me a cart so that it was easier for me to get the items I purchased to my car. It is so refreshing to have people who are pleasant and helpful at their jobs I will definitely come back to this location to get all the plants I need this spring! Marla was very helpful as well along with the young man who answered some of my questions about my plans. All around a wonderful experience!

goklt: Lots of materials here. Check out was fast. However good luck asking for assistance. Lots of associates are walking around but not helping customers. I tracked an employee down for assistance in moving materials from a high shelf to store level in the door section. He called two times for assistance to my aisle but no one came and he advised going to customer service. They called and still no help. Had to track somone down in a different department altogether. Crazy.

Chase Johnson: The employees here are courteous. But the wood cutting service they claim to offer is not available when needed. The store should just be candid that wood cutting won’t be available (or at the very least won’t be available at any specific time). I am a local DIYer (not a contractor). Before I bought wood I asked about cutting and was told it was no problem—buy it and then request a cut. I did. I was then told the lumber associate wasn’t available for an hour. I couldn’t get the wood (a single sheet of plywood I needed to cut in half) into my car, so I waited. After an hour, there was still no lumber associate, so the wood was never cut.

N R: Terrible customer service. Returning an item took 3 months of repeated calls to schedule a pickup and even when Lowe's had the item back multiple calls were needed to secure the refund. Such a hassle, so worth avoiding! The third party delivery service that they use doesn't turn up in the agreed time slots so it's very easy to miss them and then get stuck in the web of calls that are required to reschedule.

Annie Signorelli: I ordered a dishwasher with professional installation and the process from start to finish was completely nontransparent and unprofessional. The installation had to be rescheduled because the dishwasher wasn’t pulled down for pick up in time, and then when it was installed it was the incorrect dishwasher — not even the right brand. After several hours on the phone with the Lowes installation line, including being told multiple times that they couldn’t advance the process because they couldn’t get in touch with anyone at their own Lowes store, I called the store directly and was able to sort it out and get the installation rescheduled. A Lowes associate later told me that they don’t have the “luxury” of waiting on hold with the store which is what I had to do in order to ensure my order was completed. Finally the correct dishwasher was installed on the third attempt and I was told I could contact the installation line again to discuss compensation for the inconvenience. Again it took multiple attempts to even get an update on where my case stood, despite being told every time that I should expect a call back “by end of business” every day I called. When I finally got offered compensation it was for less than half of the amount I requested (I requested the installation service be refunded seeing as it took 3 attempts and I was the one having to set everything up because Lowes did not follow through). While I am satisfied with the product I am in disbelief at how difficult and unprofessional the process was with Lowes. I do not recommend purchasing appliances from installation from this store or using the Lowes installation services.

Conchita Coney: Excellent but one of the employees didn't know what he was talking about whereas getting parts for a 2019 torro self-repellent lawn mower. He told my husband and I to go to store name Grainger on MD 202 they are either closed or permanently shut down.

Elizabeth Ramming: Assistance was top notch!! The gentlemen working there were very polite and helped me a lot with specific questions. HOWEVER-- However, I needed lumber, a 1X6 piece. What they had in stock was WET. But oh! I found 2 dry pieces at the bottom. But alas, don't be happy for me. Those pieces were warped in both directions - both along the length and width. That's it. So, shut up and buy it, or fight DC traffic to go someplace else. Both of those options were the absolute WORST. Why was the wood wet amd warped?? ... Duhhh. How utterly stupid.

Sassy Sauce: I missed all of the after Christmas saw items. This location had a few products left over from Christmas but nothing I really wanted. Overall the store was neat and organized. I didn’t need any additional items for this trip, just preparing for next years holiday decorations.

Chaturbhuj bhojwani: Great shops for home goods, this is very big shop i have been going that HomeDepot for many years i was there very first day when they opened, biggest problem is coustmer service is very bad here i stud for help for more than 20 minutes before someone showed up.

They offer a verity of products that can help you with your Lawn, Garden, Appliances, Painting, Outdoor Patio, Home Improvement, Cleaning Products, Tools/Equipment Rentals and many many more. I really Appreciate the help from a young male staff who was working in the Garden/Mulch area, he was very Helpful and Knowledgeable with assisting me with the products along with a young female cashier on the inside of the store. Now you can never get the help you need when you’re in the store aisles. Every time you asked a staff member who’s in the same aisle as you. Can you help me with something? Their reply seems to be, I don’t work over here and they don’t know who can help you..!!! Home Depot needs better training for their staff who’s working in the store aisles..

Jeff Rueckgauer: Needed a red 10 cup Brita pitcher. App says there is 1 in stock. Not on the shelf. 4 associates said they couldn't help but would page someone for the aisle. 10 minutes is more than enough time for someone to at least arrive, even if they have to look further. This HD had been really good for many years. The pandemic is no excuse for just unhelpful people and plainly unconcerned, inept management.

Rickey Anderson: I went to the Rhode Island Avenue store it was good. What would made it excellent if their stock was current with the website. They didn't have it even though the computer said they did have it. The item was Sphagnum moss. Happy that I was able to find a few other items

Bailey Cage: Unfortunately this was the first time I’ve been to a Home Depot where the staff was completely unknowledgeable. I had spent hours online trying to research the best products / methods for tiling my second-story concrete subfloor with no definitive answers, so I decided to head to the store and find someone to help me. Normally Home Depot workers are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but whoever they sent back to flooring to help me seemed to know nothing. He was able to show me where items were on the aisle, but he couldn’t answer a single question about how to tile my floor or what the differences and pros/cons in products were. It was incredibly frustrating and unhelpful, and I ended up leaving with a couple hundred dollars of products I later had to return. What truly upset me is that I did some more research once I got home just to find out the answer I was looking for is common knowledge in construction, but as someone doing a DIY project, I just didn’t know what terms I had to search for. For a Home Depot employee - the flooring specialist - to not know this is astounding.

jamesbowdenjr: This is the worst Home Depot is in the entire country. I am trying to get a door, but the store is unresponsive, the management is inept and provides no additional assistance, the associates are extremely slow, unknowledgeable of the products. The worst customer service experience I have ever had. I do not recommend this store. Please go to another Home Depot location.

Anna Lloyd: Desmond in the home and garden went out of his way to help us find something that 4 different employees had just shrugged their shoulders and said that even though it was available online they were probably out. Desmond knew exactly where it was and showed us himself, even though it was on the complete other side of the store. He really took customer service to the next level.

DAVID GILL: paint dept vert slow. When paint was done I was not told it was done. I came up to the counter and stood there waiting while emotes helped others. After 10 minutes he pointed at can. I said is that mine he looked at me like Duh.

Chanpen Tee: I came here for the kitchen cabinets project. The lady is so helpful and friendly. She takes her time explaining all the questions we have.

danceswithcars w: While the renamed store still hosts TheBikeHouse on the edge of the parking lot and tools inside, not much else has changed, afaict, still kind of unpaid day laborers in relation to a for profit store. When at Qualia it was coffee/light foods and taking over the back yard. This tools, supplies and learning some basic mechanics. How to change a flat. How a ratchet works. On up through what can be done with bikes... At times I wish TBH would takeover a foreclosed property and have a home... Until then I guess buy cold sweet liquids while baking to death in the heat without bathroom nor filtered cold water access. FWIW I was at the (original) opening with council member(s), food truck, etc. District HW (w 🚲), old Capital Hill Fragers that burned, saw deceased mayor there, etc.

Mark Pry: Excellent hardware store in the Petworth area that typically has everything I need. The staff are friendly and helpful. Chris was especially helpful when I needed to grab a few bags of mulch!

James Rayford: The service was horrible. After standing in the isle for 8 to ten minutes I had go get someone and his response was go get it bring it here. Then finally coming to help with one item only he disappeared. So I walked out.

Daniel Alexander: The first time I came to this location, I received excellent help in finding the right size nail for a small drawer. But today, despite the store not being very busy, no one offered much help in me trying to decide on plants or planters. Fine, I can do it myself. But then the plastic plate rang up for over twice the actual price. And none of the plastic planters have any prices, so I ended up returning everything and leaving with only time wasted - if I can't trust the register to ring up one item properly (aka theft) then I think the other prices might be wrong (or just way overpriced for some cheap plastic planters).

Bridget Sharphorn: I was able to order an item online from this store which was impossible to find anywhere else (local or otherwise!) so that is already one reason for a positive review. Then they had someone call me to make sure I'd seen the email stating that the item had arrived - - which I had not. And finally, today when I called asking about the store's hours and trying to take some extra care regarding preventing CoViD transmission, and then arrived to pick it up a few hours later, the woman who both answered the phone and brought me the item went above and beyond what I'd expected. It's a bit of a drive for us, but we'll definitely use this hardware store more in the future.

Fred Bauer: Last time I was here was over 40 years ago. They have SawStop saws in stock and on display so worth the visit.

John Ransom: Really helpful staff and they have just about anything you could ask for. They will take the time to walk through a project with you and give you advice. It's also family owned, which is great. Prices are competitive and the experience is worth any premium you pay to avoid the big box stores. Great selection of tools, home repair supplies, grilling gear, and they have a nursery on the roof! They even get the schools involved through gardening programs and partner with a local CSA. Love this place.

Eden Rubinstein: WS Jenks is the bees knees. I ordered a Sawstop tablesaw and they were VERY helpful. They had a guy come deliver it to me and I think they even have a service to set it up for you which I didn’t opt for…but kind of wished I did while I struggled with the 500lb beast in my shop. The thing about WS that they didn’t tell me about was their rewards program, which is pretty good and I’m glad I opened what I thought was a piece of junk mail which turned out to be a $90 gift card essentially. I purchased a dado brake for my new favorite saw with them after my superb experience buying my saw. I couldn’t find one in the tablesaw area so I had to ask am employee for help who went into the back to go get one. I’m not really sure what the story was on it, but the box said dado brake, but the actual product inside was a standard brake – so there was no way it would work with a dado blade. I of course didn’t know this and it sat on a shelf for a few months before I got my dado blade. After 3 months, the receipt was long gone, I realized what had happened and was very upset. I left a poor review and the very next morning they contacted me. WS Jenks offered to ship me a BRAND NEW dado brake so I wouldn’t have to drive up again from southern MD. They even offered to pay return shipping on the bad brake which was now covered in sawdust from being in my tablesaw and without a receipt. Their customer service is top notch and they go beyond most other companies these days. They have a really nice store that I love visiting and all the staff I have worked with has been super duper helpful and really knowledgeable. They bent over backwards multiple times for my business and I’m a happy customer.

Scott Gordon: Never a bad experience at Jenks. The staff cares, and they really know their stuff. You know, how hardware stores used to be? I didn't know stores like this still existed. Their inventory, services and prices are amazingly competitive, too. Pretty much anything you can get or do at Lowe's, you can get or do here. Do yourself a favor and shop here. Support a local business and feel good knowing you got everything you need at a great price.

Jessica Boada: Good prices but it needs better employees that really like to help . Today is 1/28/22 l was at walmart 2 days ago the skate boards were price 18.98. So today i go buy the skate the price is the same i get to ✔ out the guy goes the price is 29.98 im like no they are wrong so i asked him to fix honor the price he said he can not do it the manager comes show me a picture if you want the item i go take the pic waited in line again another cahier tried to help but the first cashier said no I have the transaction on hold. So i kept on waiting them it was only one person behind me and he said i cannot do it go to customer services. I go he said to customer i have a big line i was like really. Ok finally thay send me back to the manager and she did not ask for the pic or anything and charged me 29.98. But before this she said to the customer service do not come with that. Anyway she was not even wearing the mask properly she had it on her neck. I end up returning the item and got the price at customer service with a DIFFERENT cashier after 3 different lines. Pooooooooooor customer service specialty from the manager

taqueya spriggs: I experienced very poor customer service. My family and I shopped here for the first time a week ago and the cashier who rung the father of my children's items began yelling at him because he realized after placing his items on the belt that he forgot to pick up an item that he needed in the aisle. Thereafter, the cashier began shouting for him to return to the checkout counter to complete his transaction because the store was closing soon. I for one don't have a problem with store personnel explaining to me that I am unable to go back to the aisles to select additional items to purchase because closing time is vastly approaching, but it's how you talk to people. Not to mention store security personnel tried to intimate myself and the father of my children in front of them as if he wanted to arrest us. He also became antagonizing by ordering another patron nearby to pull out his phone to video record him throwing me out of the store when I had no involvement with the incident that transpired between the cashier and my significant other. I will never shop at this location again and retail workers should be mindful of their tone and demeanor with customers because my significant other was not being confrontational, disorderly, or destroying property after being publicly humiliated in front of everyone in the store for no apparent reason. This kind of behavior is shameful and despicable and I was mortified. I am a regular shopper of Walmart corporations and I spent a lot money that day and do not deserve to be treated like a common criminal. With everything going on in the world and due to poor customer service and lack of respect for others, I think retailers should convert their services over to online shopping. This way customers can still reap the benefits of shopping without the having to potentially endure poor customer service. In the future Amazon will get all of my business.

Keshia Wideman: The absolute worst customer service ever. The store manager Patrick is non responsive to the lack of professionalism and ethics of the staff concerning, customers concerns/complaints. They are definitely a representation of his leadership and it shows. He doesn’t follow up on cooperates complaints, and the store is not organized properly at times. They don’t honor price misplaced items, and the cashiers are sarcastic, and rude at times. Crystal has been there awhile and can be rude and dismissive. I had to address her , and others about their rude, unethical behavior.

Michael Perez: If Purgatory exists, this Walmart will be a level. The place was clean and had an organization known to them. Not like any I've ever visited (and I've had the pleasure...to visit more than a few) but I'm sure when you've done your penance of shopping here a few times you get used to it. What really sets this store apart from the others is the stylistic hell that is the checkout process. 7 lanes with at least 9 patrons each. Cashiers that appear to be participating in a slow-down strike (and if they are, my hat's off to them and their cause). And at least 3 arguments between customers that verged on World Star territory. I will say that the curbside personnel were a little more engaged in their work.

Meghan Elizabeth: Grey hair lady at self checkout needs to find a different job or just retire. There is no reason an employee, especially one of her age, should be treating customers so poorly and getting a major attitude at anyone who is just trying to find a register that is working. If machines need fixed they need to kindly tell people to wait. Not be rude, make a scene and glare at everyone who is waiting to checkout. Who lets these kind of people work here???? Please consider getting some kind employees for self checkout. 04/25/22 6:00 pm

JP Howard: Really impressed with this Walmart today. At this one and the Riggs Rd location, it is usually awful to try and check out. Both typically have few checkout lines open and the lines to get out go back into the clothing section, behind the checkout, and beyond. I used to wonder how anyone got anything frozen. Today (9-25-21) it seemed like every register was open and there was no line extending into the walkway. I didn't wait to get to a register--at all! The selection is pretty standard for a Walmart in DC, but with more international options than others. The weather is cooling down, but I was excited to see a variety of helados I will add pictures of. I also had a moment of nostalgia seeing a box of moon pies on display, which I don't think I've ever seen in DC over the past decades!

Wondu G. Haile: It's a one stop shop for me. They have all I want and more. I like their self serve checkout station. You could pay in cash or credit.

Aaron Contic: Came into this location to purchase a set of irons, found a set of Taylormade M2 irons that I initially thought were correctly priced at $499. I asked the team member working in the golf department that I was interested and ask where the rest of the set was. He replied that the rest of the set was missing. I asked what was the current price with 3 clubs of the 7 iron set missing? His response was “that’s the price, my manger won’t change it for some reason, but you can ask him” So I asked to speak to the manger which He initially said was available. I was then told that the manager currently on duty was conveniently on a conference call and was now unavailable and the answer was “NO” on a new price for the remaining clubs. To start the team member was friendly and helpful. That being said. I’m also a manager in retail and if a customer asked to talk to a manager about a reasonable question. Im not going to have my employee have to tell the customer “NO” That’s terrible customer service and it’s also a bad business practice to try to sell customers a product that’s missing pieces for the same price as if it’s not!

The associates are always helpful and pretty knowledgeable. They will go out of their way to help! Well stocked too! Bought a fitness trampoline to keep a 7 yr old from going stir crazy in an apartment during these NO School days! Hope it works! It was Waaay up high. Had 3 different associates make sure I got what needed. All while helping other customers.

Angie Owens: oh my goodness I was on the phone with my cousin, while she was shopping for football cleats for her son. When I tell you that the amount of "OUTSTANDING" customer service that the professional young lady "Ryan" gave to her while she was shopping was absolutely amazing!! I had to tell my cousin through the phone to please tell Ms. Ryan that the level of coatomer service she gave was "THE BEST" that I have seen in a very long time. Ryan if your reading this please keep up the good work!! I am extremely proud of you young lady.

Liliana Gonzalez: Zach did a great job helping me find the the gym equipment I needed. He even helped me load these items into my car after I doubted if the gym equiptment I bough would fit. Thank you so much to him and Horse for the exellent service!

Bella Adoni: Varieties of sports goods. Place was clean and staffs very attentive. They acknowledged us at the time of entry. I and my friend were the only customers in the store. I could have given the store five stars if the price for most of the items were reasonable.

Cliodhna MacFadden: We purchased the Element 65” TV, and after 3 days the backlight broke. We tried everything to fix it. Without a box or receipt in hand, we brought it back to see what may be possible to do. Associates TK, Nicole S, and Anton were able to use the debit card used to purchase to look up my receipt to get our return sorted. We so appreciate them going truly above and beyond to show us their compassion and excellent customer service.

Jasmine Thomas: Mobile Tech Has A Rude Raspy Voice Lady Working There. Ms.Kathy Is Extremely Unprofessional & Doesn’t Know What She Is Talking About. She Lied & Told Me That An AT&T Phone Was Unlocked. The Phone Wasn’t Unlocked & I Was Trapped In A Contract. I Explained To Her That I Wanted A Unlocked Phone & She Insisted On Telling Me The Phone I Bought Full Price Was Unlocked, Yet I’m Getting Stuff In My Email Saying I Have A Contract That I Have To Pay Off My Phone. Her Attitude Is Stank & She Never Has Her Mask Up On Her Face. Columbia Heights Target Do Better, Her and Her Unprofessional Ways Are Bringing Your Company Down Tremendously. I Will Be Reaching Out To Corporate!

Shayna Deverman: Dirty, unorganized, extremely low stock on everything. Items thrown everywhere, picked over. Shoe isle was a disgrace. Nice they have an “Ulta”, but very limited items. Took me several minutes to figure out where body wash was. Haircare, travel, makeup is all grouped together in the front/middle-like typical but body wash/deodorant was clear on the end of the store. Terrible flow. All that looking and they had very limited washes! Men’s selection had more to choose from. Went in there with a very basic list and got one thing on it… my nearest Walgreens was more helpful…disappointing since I love me a Target trip. I won’t be back to this one.

Kaila Gilbert: Good store, could benefit from more helpful signage 😂 idk throw a digital map on the wall or something. but even though I got vertigo/whiplash/confused trying to find a suitcase (they're on the 2nd floor in the wayback) no complaints and the people are good. Most people do self checkout bc line passes fast, so don't be intimidated if it's long. Idk choose your adventure. Shoe section looks a litttle crazy in the afternoons, but that's consistent with the behaviors/type of people who live here lmao. Moving too fast, not putting stuff back, lowkey entitled ahaha

Adah Deveaux: This review is for the starbucks within target. My drinks were great but a little of a wait. The actual target was customary.

Thomas Nali: NO PARKING VALIDATION Poor inventory. This is on a regular old Monday. I asked for the product I was looking for, they checked in the back, and said it was too hard to get to and another employee would work on it, but they don’t know how long it will be. This was at almost noon. Look at how few dairy products are on the shelf. Staff continued to prove unhelpful. I asked four different employees where a type of product was and they each told me to find someone who worked in that dept. OR they just told me they “probably don’t have it” WITHOUT even looking or bothering to find where it should be!! They tried to walk off but I said I am not satisfied until we find the shelf where it should be, and I’ve been looking for fifteen minutes. Took all of that to get some help finding one little thing.

Ted Socha: Ever since this Target added self-checkout, they've relied solely on it. At most, they open only one regular checkout line if self-checkout gets long. Better off going to the CVS across the street. 10/7/19 update: this place either needs to solve their self-checkout problem or open up more than one regular cash register

Sade Wilson: I was shopping today at the Washington D.C target store and was purchasing gift for my family I found some nice things and for a really good price. I went to check out and the items were ringing up different from what the price was upstairs I explained to the cashier he called for a manager. The manager name tiffany came and refuse to change the price the for two of the items but change it for the other too items. I continue checking out because I didn’t want to wait to long after I was done checking out I went upstairs to take pictures to show the manger she still refuse and walk away.

Donna Walker: Buyers we aware the prices in Target are going up every week and its terrible and make sure you know the prices of your items because the shelf price and the register price can be different at times. Security was following me for no reason so I had t let him know you are following the wrong person. I catch more people stealing at Target and I do not work there. Also, some of the employees are so rude. I will be recording my conversations with the employees when I need to ask for help as proof of how rude some of them can be.
