We’ve had great experiences with lessons (clarinet and guitar) and when we wanted to upgrade to a wooden clarinet, Lindy & Luke found us a quality used instrument. If there’s something we need and they don’t have it, they’ve always been able to get it in short order. Music on the Hill is everything a local music store should be.

Mike Workman: I was considering to buy this g-400 epi Toni Iommi edition. I was skeptical at first ,the set up was horrible like it never was played. One of the tuners had a bad screw. They had their tech fix it up and it was like a different guitar. I was very pleased at the results and the price was fair for the condition and they even gave me a nice case for it. Daniel Tana: I’ve been shopping for guitars and other gear at Atomic music for 20 years now, and they’ve never let me down. If you want a guitar, bass, amp, etc. and don’t want to spend a fortune on something new, you absolutely can’t beat them for used gear. They guarantee everything they sell used so if you have a problem with it, they’ll take it back within 30 days. They also have a great buy back policy so if you’re someone like me who’s slowly upgraded to nicer instruments over the years, you know you’ll get a good price selling back a guitar that you bought there if you want to upgrade it a few years later. I recently found what would have been a 400ish dollar Marshall combo amp there tagged at $219, played it in store, and walked out with it for an even better price. Unbelievable. I’m just saying, it’s worth a trip or a call/email to them if you’re looking for something specific, and you can find some great stuff if you have time to browse around their inventory. So before you go to Guitar Center or whatever, check them out. You’ll be supporting an awesome and vital local/regional business and you’ll probably find a really good deal too!

Every time I have come in knowing of a certain product or service I would need, they would respond right away! The piano lessons are are also amazing!

Antonio Jackson: Visited the store on 12/28/18 to inquire about the cost of setting up a new violin that I purchased elsewhere for my son. As soon as I walked in the store I was greeted by Shane willingness to assist. I was informed that sometimes the instrument would have to sent out depending on the repair (oh no) but he would take a look. After fully making an assessment of the new violin, Shane commented that it only needed to be tuned, and that it would be at no cost. In addition, Shane fully walked me through the process (fine tuner, I had no clue—lol) of tunning it just right. I want to say that I appreciate the great customer service, and will be patronizing the store in the near future!

Saw the listing via Reverb, went to play test it and discovered there was a leak making the instrument unplayable; not only did the worker (I forgot his name! an older gentleman, might be the manager or the owner) knock off 30%, he sent it to a shop and got the horn patched + shined as well. when I picked it up about 3 weeks later it was like brand new! All the staff is very friendly and the shop is a nice place, well organized. Would highly recommend to anyone near the area.

They have savory pies like their Ratatouille Pie (with eggplant, yellow squash, zucchini, onions, peppers, garlic, fresh herbs all stewed in a zesty tomato sauce $9 a slice $40 for a whole pie), and sweet pies like their Strawberry Rhubarb Pie (fresh strawberries mixed with rhubarb $7 a slice, $36 for the whole pie). This spot Located at 1339 H St., N.E. Washington D.C., and on this day I copped 6 pies!! Hey I wanted to sample a variety of items at this specialty shop, and the slices range from$7-$9 sooo...6 pies it is!! First I snatched up 3 sweet pies, their Somoa cookie pie, their Mixed berry pie, and their Key lime pie all for $7 each. If you like coconut...get the Somoa!! Rich, creamy, chocolaty, decadent. Their Key lime pie was official!! Not too tart, not overly sweet. The mixed berry pie is an acquired taste, tart but the crust was decent. Ok so I also snatched up 3 savory pies. Their chicken pie (a grandiose pot pie), their Pamela’s tofu curry pie (with a savory rice, and cooked tofu), and their Mumbo potato pie!?! That on had homefry style potatoes, and onions with a Mumbo sauce on it that had a spicy kick to it. Three chicken joint was delicious...GET IT!! That’s it. The tofu joint was surprisingly tasty as well...fulfilling, and hearty!! The Mumbo joint was good...that kick made the difference!! Their whole pies range from $36-$40. Customer service was on point, I was greeted and my order was swiftly taken care of. Parking was ok, metered H street parking. I’m curious about their other pies...so I’m going back, and I suggest you give them a try. Dana W: This place is very deceiving. When you walk in you think it’s a pie shop. But go upstairs and it’s a whole vibe. There is a stage and bar. Love music positive performer. The drink prices are not bad. Parking was hard to find but street parking was scarce.

Wade Keeling: I have been shopping at Musicland for 3-4 years and have always had a great experience. So much so that I shop there exclusively for my guitars and associated items. Sales and ongoing service are as good as it gets , as are the people working there. I developed a relationship with Mack Keller due to his product knowledge as well as his helpful and friendly attitude. When I go to Musicland it is as much pleasure as business which keeps me going back.

Siah Fishin: Musicland is a diamond in the rough of brick and mortar music stores, the staff is soo helpful and know what they are talking about! ECC: I brought 2 of my used basses in to sell. Mack was extremely helpful and sold them both in no time. Definitely will be coming back to Mack at Music Land again in the near future.
