Kennedy Center Gift Shop: what do users think?

Mehery Chowdhury: The gift shop has all kinds of souvenirs like mugs, T shirts , scarves , jewellery each that are as attractive as the centre itself. And the shop is quite a big one at that.

Peacock Productions: Lots of nice music themed stuff though as a synth player I found it was more classically oriented

CB DCDiva: Great place to pick up everything from small items (magnets, key chains and post cards) to prints, textiles and clothing to commemorate your visit to the Kennedy Center. Pricey items (IMHO) but unique to the venue make branded or event specific purchases worth the cost.

Carole Mars: Great venue - Alvin Ailey Dance Company was amazing and KC was a great space for the performance

Monica Galli: Love the Kennedy center. Make sure to see the art outside.

DIY RocelAzoulay: The Kennedy Central remain lit in the colors of Ukraine 🇺🇦

Paul H.: Great experience. What a great tour of the place from our guide Ann. She took us to all the theaters and provided us great information. We also saw the Korean ❤️ to ❤️ orchestra at the millennium stage. Very memorable!

Sonny Ng: Huge arena featuring diverse world class performances, modern amenities and easily accessible via public transport and large parking. The picturesque route along the Potomac overlooking the Watergate complex presents a great escape from the nearby urban congestion and excellent vista for that quintessential DC photo shot, especially at sunset. A great workout area for local residents with deep pockets;)

Sharon Hinchman: The Temptations were awesome. One of the original guys was in the audience. Great seats. Pleasant and helpful ushers. Enjoyed watching the planes outside come in to land at Reagan Nationsl Airport during intermission. Perfect evening.

mir09 com: Very cool gift shop! Here you can find almost any souvenir at affordable prices.

Kelly Hyer: Cute free gift with purchase. Photographer did great job getting kids to smile.

Ufuoma Akpotaire: I really enjoyed visiting this gift store. I found that there were so many souvenirs I liked but I had to narrow my final selections down. It was very tricky making my choices but I did it! Also got a coupon from the store to take pictures in next door and that was great!

Shantelle Carpenter: Very nice gift shop however very expensive in our opinion..... The photo booth was the highlight for us

Sean Gillespie: ... thought the White House was bigger than it actually was, much better sights in the area to be done, and would recommend the electric scooters as a transport means.

Tammie: It is what it is, a souvenir shop, but they have nice things & helpful people & you can go around the corner for a free picture with your purchase.

Miss Savannah Ga Curry: It was really nice place to pick up Souvenirs and things

NT Souvenir Wholesale: what do users think?

woop doop: If you want the best prices, shop here. It already says wholesale in the name and the store has like a warehouse, so it’s better to shop here. For comparison, the price of a box of playing cards is $12 in another store, but here it’s $6. There are also a variety of designs to choose from. Great deals with shirts as well! I spent about $150++ here, if you’re buying bulk, this is the place to go. I would have rated the store 5 stars, but my only comment is that the owner was rolling their eyes as the cashier made a small mistake on the pricing, reprimanded the worker in an impolite way in front of the customers. George was helping us throughout our hour search of souvenirs, please treat your employees kindly. He also wrapped up my items with care, unlike the other store, where my glass souvenirs were not even wrapped at all. George said he treats his customers with care and respect. Thank you for your help, George!

Adelina: The owner was very polite and helpful. He help us find the sizes for the shirts we needed. All the shirts are well organized in racks by size. They have so many beautiful souvenirs and many options. The best part they have great deals!

Roger Fox: Amazing selection of really good quality souvenirs at great prices - definitely plan on bringing all of our out of town visitors in the future. Highly recommend! CK was so friendly and helpful and even opened our box to show us the condition of everything we were buying.

Richard Rojas: Amazing place to find the right souvenirs. Especially when you’re traveling and need the last minutes gifts!

Piero Mendz: Great prices. Everything here is at least $5-$10 cheaper than everywhere else we have seen. Very large store great finds. They offer everything you could think of and then some!

kaitlin parker: This is a very large store with great prices. We have been in DC for a week now and this store has everything we have seen at other places and for less money. Stop here first for your souvenirs!

salvador turcios: Great experience good prices and nice people help me alot

Gina Marie: This place has everything you need if you are looking for souvenirs. The prices are reasonable and the staff is amazing. I most certainly recommend.

A Williams: Best souvenir store in town, great prices. Very helpful store employee, we had a lot of fun shopping here too!!! We will be back.

Miriam Rosa: Nice people. Lots of good stuff to choose from..reasonable prices. Parking lot around corner is free for 3 hours.

Shop Made in DC: what do users think?

Adam Clevenger: DC is full of cheap, mass produced, tourist-trap merchandise. But Shop Made in DC is different! Unique items made by local makers and business owners adorn every shelf in this beautiful shop. Great for souvenirs and gifts.

Kahui Lim: Well organized gift shop with a great selection of candles, post cards, and other knick knacks.

Emerson rachel Sheldon: Genuinely the worst service I have ever received with the rudest employee ever. Yelled at me while smelling a candle then yelled across the store. Then she ran out the door saying having a good night I hope you learn how to read. Ridiculous and so unprofessional. I completly understand I should have had my mask up but really?

Rob Ainbinder: Great store. Full of locally made goods including some great options for souvenir t-shirts, hats, and hoodies as well as a selection of locally made prints, and specialty foods.

Kelly M.: I love this shop. It’s a bit pricey but not unreasonable for locally made and unique goods. It’s absolutely the perfect place to buy gifts or DC souvenirs that aren’t tacky or cheap.

Metro Variety Shop: what do users think?

Melanie Ramirez: An AMAZING store with a ton of souvenir gifts to choose from. The owner is very sweet and gives good discounts and free items! Definitely recommend to stop by for your Washington DC gifts!

Jessica Corson: This was by far the most phenomenal souvenir shop I have been to passing through on travel. They have such a great variety of souvenirs and is a very detailed/clean store! The owner is unbelievably generous and a sweet man! He gave us discounts and free items just because! He definitely made sure we were taken care of and left happy! Outstanding customer service!! 😁😁

Emily Bonilla: Mr. Chung was the absolute sweetest souvenir shop owner! My visit happened to be close to Father’s Day & he gave my dad an extra free t-shirt along with many other freebies. Not only is he an amazing store owner but an amazing father. He spoke very proudly of his successful children, which was very sweet.

Juliette Morris: Thank you Dr. Chung!!! I’m from Miami and chose this place based on google reviews. They have a wide variety and the best customer service ever. Dr. Chung and the young lady working with him both assisted my friend and I. Helped us pick everything out, I didn’t have to think too hard lol. Also threw in some freebies. If you’re looking for a souvenir shop when in town check them out!!

Elicia Tumbleson: This was the best souvenir shop I’ve ever been to! The owner and the shop employee were so sweet and helpful. The owner told us he had been there for 41 years and was the nicest man I’ve ever met. They gave us discounts on things, gave us free t-shirts, magnets, Christmas tree ornaments, and a keychain. If you are looking to get gift from DC, definitely stop here! 10/10 will recommend!

starryyuri: owner is an extremely kind and generous man!! through our purchase, we were given discounts on everything! he offered paper towels and water for our comfort, and talked to us about how we found his store. throughout our time there, we were given: a free tote bag a free magnet two free pens a free t shirt two free hand sanitizers a commemorative coin absolutely amazing experience, i would love for all of you to check out the spot! right in the metro station :)

Melissa Free: I spent $62🤑 got 4 shirts and he was so kind to throw in a magnet. I walked from my hotel 3 miles to find his shop at 8pm located near the subway. Great find and worth the journey. I too was assisted by the owner Chung or Chang. Great variety of souvenirs.

Noelia Patino: Mr. Chung was the friendliest person we encountered in DC! The shop has a ton of options. The young lady working gave great suggestions based on what we liked. Better deals than the little stands around the monuments. It’s definitely worth checking out if anything for the great customer service!

Washington Welcome Center: what do users think?

Brenda: This is an excellent gift shop! It is very neat and organized and has nearly everything you could ever want as a souvenir regarding Washington, DC. There are also a lot of great books. One little book we purchased was a bunch of quotes from Abraham Lincoln.

Jonathan French: If you love America, you’ll love this welcome center. The prices are relatively low and there are so many different USA themed items. From mini statues of some presidents to framed documents to shirts and other souvenirs, this shop has it all. I personally bought a t-shirt, a desk art piece and a hard copy of The Constitution. Total was maybe 15 dollars to 20 dollars. It does lean onto the current president (makes sense) but offers some things from older presidents, like Pro Trump memorabilia and Obama era posters and clothes. So everyone is well represented.

Janice Weikal: This place opens at 9 am - 8 pm. The opening on this site was wrong. If you are going on your I suggest you get your water here. There is a Hard Rock cafe across the street.

Stephanie Marie Hernandez: Great place for nice souvenirs at a great price point. My family and myself were there June 23rd, we stopped in after having lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe across the street. We purchased quite a few things. When we arrived back in Texas we realized we were missing 4 items. I called them immediately and spoke with Michelle, she was very friendly and helpful, she kept in contact with me until her manager was back at the place of business. I was able to talk to the manager today, I didn’t catch his name, but he help me out so much. All my items are being shipped to me now. Thank you so much for the great customer service. I will forever be appreciative of what y’all did for me! Especially Michelle. She was amazing to work with.

Janice Weikal: This place has all souvenirs you need to say you were here. The big bus tours starts here also.

AZILE NAMWOB: We were very attended by Mckenzie, Dominique, Marquis, Doug and even the Manager with a pleasant greeting to bring our checks. One of the best places we ate while visiting DC. The food was delicious (sorry for not taking photo/posting with food) great customer service, drinks were awesome!

Aimee Lim: This place offers wide variety of souvenier stuff and offers comfortable shopping experience. Big shop and not crowded. Staff/ casher was friendly and helpful. They offer shipping too. Reasonable prices.

Kealan O'Doherty: Be careful when purchasing items here. I bought this mug assuming it was useable and in tact, as is a reasonable assumption to make when buying a mug. When I got home I noticed it had previously been broken and glued back together. The top of the point where they glued it is sharp and hazardous, this faulty item is dangerous and should not have been sold.

Shawna Martin: Great gift shop and decent prices! I went twice in a three day trip.

Ann Morse: This eclectic shop never fails to inspire me for unique gifts. The staff go above and beyond to help. Thanks for the ideas today! Longtime customer, first time reviewer.

Neal Brenner: Awesome store with a wide variety of gifts, cards, chocolate and so much more. Cannot stop laughing while you are there as there are so many funny gifts. A must if you are in DC!

Avery Jones: Looking for a fun gift or hilarious card? Do you find New Yorker cartoons hilarious and political jokes always in season? This is the place! I always go there for the best cards for my friends and family (big selection), and they always have amazing little joke gifts, as well as creative and nice gift options for people that are hard to buy for.

Arthur Zayden: I go here for my event planning needs, balloons, bulk candies and decorations. Great prices and the place is very organized, costumer service is amazing. Employees have a great product knowledge of all the items they carry. If I can give more than 4 I will give them a 10 star!!!

Melissa Maskulka: Really missing DC right now after a cross-country move, so I ordered a gift set. Items shipped quickly and arrived in wonderful packaging and a hand-written note. Happiness in a box! Thank you Urban Dwell for brightening my new home and my heart.

Shelby M: I love this store! Need a gift in a pinch? Just want to browse for yourself? This place has something for everyone, from Dad to your nosy neighbor to your in-laws. I just found gifts here for both my parents - shopping, done in one stop.

Manfred Phemister: Great gift store for those souvenirs from DC and special gifts. Returning customer.

Denise Strunk: Great shop! So many fun items!

Scotty ST: Best place to find a nice house warming or birthday present for someone that is local DC themed. Many options to choose from for gifts. A friend of mine got his niece the cutest baby outfit while I got some DC flag themed drink coasters. There are nice pictures, paintings and anything you would need to deck out your home in DC fashion.

Brionne Griffin: This place has the perfect assortment of well-known brands mixed with local DC pieces. On one table, you’ll find yourself browsing their selection of DC prints and coasters and on the next table, you’ll find Voluspa candles and Alexis Bittar jewelry. The owner really has a talent for curating and I can’t wait to see what new items await the next time I go.

White House History Shop (Official): what do users think?

E C Smith: Kathy O’Connell the representative/associate for the shop denied my family and I entrance into the shop because she advised we had to wait for others to exit. Meanwhile, another family BEHIND us freely walks in and she didn’t stop them or said a peep. As we waited outside, we saw numerous other families of 4 and 5 walk in. I had family from California come to visit with us and this was a TERRIBLE experience for all of us to be asked to exit a public shop and wait outside while we witness others just walk in. All we wanted was to shop for souvenirs, KATHY O’CONNELL. I hope you read this review and understand the lasting impact you just made on my family and I.

Tori Steffen: Beautiful gift shop - best I’ve been to in DC by far (including all the museum shops). No tacky tshirts in sight. If you’re looking for a Christmas ornament or a nice souvenir gift for someone, this is the place. Staff was also friendly!

Christina A: Attempted to visit during hours of operation. No one answered the phone nor the door bell.

Spencer Clinton: Visited late Saturday night to get some souvenirs for my family before heading back home in the morning, ASHLEY, GRACE, and MAXINE, treated me and my family very disrespectful and poorly, providing us no help at all and simply stating we had to leave the store. I asked to speak to a a manager, was told “you’re talking to 2 of them,” (not sure which of the 3 ladies cornering me were management) and repeatedly told “yeah get out.” I’d take your money somewhere else, poor managers and lousy staff. It’s sad to come from out of town and be disrespected by a whole group of ladies when we were simply trying to by some souvenirs for our family.

Alexandra B: Lovely Christmas decorations and ornaments. Very friendly staff. Excellent COVID precautions and cleanliness.

David Phillips: They have some very nice things and the employees were very helpful.

Holly Schoenfeld: Very nice shop; helpful staff.

Kana Wong: Expensive and pretentious. Lacking in personality and bathrooms were closed.

G-POP Buehler: WIFE LOVED THIS PLACE!SHE GOT EVERYTHING SHE NEEDED.

Steadfast Supply: what do users think?

Hope Greenleaf: Amazing gift shop! You can truly find something unique for everyone here. The store is super kid and dog friendly, to include changing tables in the restrooms. This could be a lifesaver for parents in the busy navy yard neighborhood! They offer events and classes for kids and adults alike! Checkout the music class on Sundays!

Amber Wason: My favorite store in DC. The gifts are carefully curated and always a hit. Staff is friendly and helpful. Recently utilized their personal shopping service and they virtually shopped for my gifts, had them waiting in a basket when I picked up. Can’t recommend enough! Panda and T Rex t-shirts pictured here. ✌🏼

Julie Donnan: What a fun shop! Great variety of high quality goods, but what is even better is the friendly and welcoming atmosphere the staff create. I walked out of the store not only with some beautiful gifts but also a welcome to my new neighborhood & also some restaurant recommendations!

joyce b: Great shop to get local items! Great for picking up gifts. So many items from the DC metro area. Items for the home, beauty products, jewelry/clothing, posters, children’s clothing... Super friendly and helpful when you drop by!

Ankit Patel: Great local shop, which features local brands. They usually have a 10% off coupon available. #ShopSmall

Olga Crawford: A nice place

Jonathan Holland: Excellent place to beat the crowds and see a top notch museum.

Michael Pukish: A little gem of a museum right on base at the Navy Yard. Not necessarily a comprehensive collection of all things Navy, but definitely a great combination of technical, political, and human history components.

Jerry Miranda: Wonderful museum. Really well done. A must visit if in DC. CAC required for base access. Bring the kids.

Jonathan Haag: Wish it was open on the weekend.

Shirley Tran: i went to go visit the navy yard and walked through their gift shop. it has a lot of neat things to see and some good small gifts to buy.

Wayne Morris: Excellent selection of Navy items.

Vicki Ware: It was fabulous highly recommended.

Colin Taylor: If you can stand the half hour vetting procedure this really is an underwhelming experience

A Mano, Inc.: what do users think?

Margo Petitti: I am a vendor for A Mano and they refuse to pay their bill. I have emailed the owner, Adam Mahr, and have called the store several times to try to settle an invoice that is over 3 months past due and totals $418.00. I have been hung up on, including by Adam himself. Vendors should be careful when dealing with a store like this.

Andrea Villazon: Wow! I’m a shopper and I was blown away with A Mano. It’s an amazingly edited collection of home and garden accessories….with an edge. I was looking for some hostess gifts while in Washington and ended up taking care of all my wedding and baby gifts and picked up custom sheets and towels. The staff was a blast and knew their stuff. I’ll try their web site, but it would be hard to compare to the in-store shopping experience.

Cecille Sterns: Great collection of toys, board games and fun knick-knacks. The space is filled with items from floor to ceiling, so it can get pretty tight in there with all the kids and adults perusing the shelves. If you can go earlier in the day for a less crowded shopping experience.

Manny Largo: Margo- thank you for your post. It’s really unfortunate when companies do not pay their vendors. I hope this gets sorted out and I will definitely reconsider where I shop.

Adra Williams: i shop there just for the cool bags

Groovy dc Cards & Gifts: what do users think?

Julia Raymond: This is my go-to neighborhood shop for cards, decorations and gifts. The owners are always kind and helpful. I showed up on New Years Eve a few minutes after they closed because our toddler was begging for balloons. The owners very thoughtfully accommodated us despite not being open for business. That gesture absolutely made my day (and our toddler’s!) and we’ll continue supporting and recommending this shop because of it.

Susan F: Our go-to card store. Fun and lovely selection and great customer service. Knowing and chatting with your local small business owner really adds to a shopping experience, and these guys are the best.

Ricky Ocampo: Excellent selection of cards, gift wrap, party supplies, and gifts. The staff are also very kind + helpful. I cannot recommend enough!

Megan S: Unique gifts and party supplies. Very helpful staff. I was in a last minute crunch to find helium balloons on New Year’s Eve. I called and the worker talked me through their entire inventory and helped me pull together what I needed. I was so grateful for the extra time and attention, on what was already a busy day for the store.

Charles Stewart: Cute gift card shop in the eastern market. Everything from wrapping paper to postcards and cards for every occasion. Friendly staff. The prices were decent. The shop was quaint and the space was small but well utilized. Don’t know where this fits in, but you can pick up a pair of socks on your way out 😉

Austin Graff: Groovy DC Cards & Gifts is a gift shop on the main Eastern Market strip. The owners are very nice and sell a variety of goods from candles, cards, toys, etc. The upper floor has jewelry and a few other higher end gifts. If you need a last minute gift idea, stop in!

Kimi Lo: Love the store! Great owners and cool gifts and art. Found an awesome Lava Lamp! Just what I always wanted 😁

Armin Behroozi: Wonderful selection and personable staff. A big thanks to Mr. Indiana for his hospitality and for helping me write my card on the fly!

charles eastwood: Fabulous shop, great selection, and super-nice owner.A true Capitol Hill treasure 🌸💎🌸

The Gallery Shops: what do users think?

Heather Bradley: Very much miss the children’s shop. I used to do all my holiday shopping there. Appears they are phasing it out entirely since reopening began. There are just a few old items remaining in the corner it’s been relegated to. The items they offer now are very dated and not well curated in all the sections (ie mugs, tshirts with the new branding, umbrellas etc.). I’ll be going to the BMA shop from now on. The selection there is reminiscent of what the NGA shops used to be. It’s really a shame.

Praba Iyer: Bought 2 mugs for $16.99 each, hand washed and this is what is left of the Japanese cherry blossoms. Supposed to show up when you add hot water. Total rip off. Want my money back

rimi Pati: The gallery shop was very helpful in sorting out my merchandize issue. It took some time but I must give a 5 star rating to their staff.

nancy loy: I ordered online package 654102561-53967. I paid $72.95 total, $28 for the Starry Night umbrella and an exorbitant $44.95 for shipping to London. This was a gift for a dear friend, but I just found out it became a nightmare for her. The Gallery Shops used Fed Ex International, which days after delivering the gift then billed my friend 38 British pounds for shipping, about $46.74. When my friend explained that I had already paid The Gallery Shops for shipping, Fed Ex turned it over to a collection agency, which has been hounding her. She will have to pay the shipping costs that I already paid to keep Fed Ex International from unjustly ruining her credit. This extortion is inexcusable.

Susanna J Kaplan: Beautiful gift I tems and art books.

Theresa Shult: A friend posted a photo of a mug she bought from the National Portrait Gallery shop with a depiction of a painting with all four women who have been on the Supreme Court. I had to have one. Living in California, I went shopping online. I found my mug...and more. I had it delivered. It took less than a week and is in PERFECT condition. I had so much funI may have to do more shopping!

Kelly L. Mendez: Just a fresh, beautiful and open display, and a wide variety of options - from prints of paintings to games and treats. i find the store in the gallery to be almost as fun at times as the museum itself.Just great.

Mariko Benjamin: I love all stationery and product they sell, but there are couple unprofessional attitude stuff at the Coffee shop and the main store. Huge disappointment.

Gina Kolarchick: Loved the shops at Mount Vernon. Cafe seemed to be understocked but understood being a Saturday.

Michael Furmaniuk: Good selection of Revolutionary Era materials for young and old. Nice they had a Christmas Corner. Would have loved to get some whiskey but a little steep for me.

Rebekah Graves: It was ok but not great like other gift shops
