Mary Bei Prince: i visited the pacers on 14th street in search of a trusty walking shoe and was immediately greeted by two of the most customer oriented and knowledgeable employees, Sam and Ethan. They asked me a series of questions and watched me walk before using their expertise and experience to conjure a series of shoes that would support my flat, wide feet and supinated ankle. After trying on four different pairs of shoes i chose the arahi’s because of the spacious toe box and pitch. As someone with problem feet, shopping for shoes is extremely anxiety producing, but Sam and Ethan cultivated a comfortable environment in which i felt deeply cared for. I would recommend pacers to anyone looking for sneakers and community :)

Mike P: The best running store! They organize runs on almost every day of the week. If they don't have a run at this location, they most likely have one at one of their other close by locations. One thing great about these runs is often they'll do a partnership with a shoe brand to lend a pair to try during the run. This is the best way to try a new shoe. But they also have a pretty good return policy if you don't try it and just purchase it on the spot. The staff is very familiar with running stances too (pronation, comfort, etc) so if you're new to running, definitely consult with them to understand what type of shoe you need. Everyone working there has been very friendly everytime I've purchased a shoe or socks. They also are generally the same price as other places, but honestly even a few dollars more, makes it worth it for the service they provide. Michael Kennedy: Pacers is the best thing that has happened to me since moving here. The run club is friendly and well organized . When purchasing, the staff (Steve and Elyse) are supremely knowledgeable about the products , and unlike other stores are actual runners. 🤘
H Greenjeans: So thankful to have this local running store. The employees are always so friendly and accommodating. I'm a larger person and I don't get looked at sideways when I walk in. Surprisingly I run at least three times a week and several miles at a time, so I need to replace my shoes at least twice a year. On this last go-around, covid policies were abided by as well as social distancing. Employees gave their recommendations and I had fun picking out new shoes AND socks. They have Darn Tough running socks now too! Anyways, awesome store and I can't wait to go back! Thank you all!

Andres Mendoza: Really nice running store with a good variety of shoes and running gear. The staff is really helpful and knowledgeable. They took the time to fit me properly and answered all my questions, and I had several. Kelce was the gentleman who took care of me and he really gave me helpful information without overwhelming me. I ended up with a pair of Brooks and a nice DC flag hat. I definitely recommend and will go back.
Tate Harris: Zach saved my feet!!! In my 18 years of life, I have never been able to find a pair of shoes that feel great on my awful feet. After walking 15,000 steps a day touring DC and suffering through every minute of it, I came into Pacers Running to get fitted. Zach had me take off my shoes, measured my feet, watched me walk, and gave me a few options. He was so sweet and professional and clearly incredibly experienced and skilled. It felt like he read my mind in terms of what I needed! I have never had shoes that fit me so well. People have told me that I need arch support for my whole life even though I find it painful but Zach knew just what I was talking about and found shoes that support my feet in other ways! My feet and I are SO grateful.
Walker Livingston: Extremely professional, helped me out greatly for a shoe appointment. I've been running in what they recommended for the past two weeks. I need slightly more cushion, and the shoes have been perfect. Heading here the next time I need a new pair.

Young Park: Drove over after an awful experience at the Road Runner Sport location in Rockville. Had some pain in my heel during my workouts and Andrew helped me right away. He assessed me on the spot and got me the best shoe that actually took away the pain. They didn’t have the right color and when ordering them was also not going to work, he offered the Nike store down the street. K. O'Keefe: I have been a customer of Fleet Feet for ten years. Always great service and I have had success with the shoes they fit for me despite having really hard feet due to a significant injury years ago. And then, I tried RnJ in Bethesda because I was there for another errand and desperately needed shoes. The guy there got my shoes but didn't help with the fitting and assured me, against my better judgement, that the selection of shoes fit. They were a terrible fit. And customer service was awful. I returned to Fleet Feet and they were - once again - great. Customer Service is always knowledgeable and attentive. Never pushy. Always a great fit.

Sarah Luna: Highly recommend! It was busy when I walked in, but someone had greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. I asked immediately asked if I needed help and someone offered to go through a fitting with me. It was a great experience, they asked me about my past and current running experience, measured my feet, and even looked at the way I walked and noticed that I overpronate. They were very knowledgable and told me the benefits and cons of each shoe. Although they did not have a treadmill, they said I was more than welcome to take them outside and run around to test them. The gentleman who helped me was very patient and never rushed me. When checking out, they made a customer profile for me so they know what shoes I bought I will definitely be coming back.
A.N. Breuer: Great shop. I needed comfortable and versatile trainers. They really take a lot of time to listen to your questions and to look for suitable shoes. The variety of colors is very limited, but I still rate this with 5 stars just because I never got such a competent advice. I don't know if this is normal in the US, but in Germany (where I come from) it's more like they want to get rid of you as fast as possible. The man who gave advice to me had more useful tips than an orthopedist I had visited.

Trina Tento: I had just moved to DC and needed a new pair of running shoes. I decided to check out this store and boy was I glad I did! As soon as I walked into the store I was immediately welcomed by the sales associate Will. He told me about the fitting process they provide where they check to see how my feet hold me up. Will was very communicative and told me that I pronate a bit and need shoes with something called a medial post. I have had many foot problems in the past and needed something with lots of cushion. He then brought out a variety of shoe options for me to try and we went through the benefits and cons for each shoe for my feet. He really took the time to make sure I was comfortable and knew how each pair of shoes worked with my feet. I didn't feel pressured to get a pair of shoes and I was able to find one I really liked. I have never went to a running store where the staff was so knowledgable about feet and shoes. I will definitely be coming back for my next pair. Thank you fleet feet!
Tameshia Henry: On 6-25-2020 I went into Fleet Feet to return a pair of sneakers that I’d purchased along with two sets of insoles. When I came into the store three people greeted me and began simultaneously asking me questions about the sneakers. The woman, Kimberly, asked me if I had the receipt to which I responded “yes”. She asked me if I had the original box to which I responded that I did not. She then threw the shoes down on the floor and walked over to the register huffing and puffing and did not say another word to me. A gentleman walked from behind the register to help me find a different pair of sneakers. As I was trying in different pairs a white woman came into the store with a return. Kimberly asked her if she had a receipt, the woman handed her the receipt, Kimberly smiled and completed the transaction. I made the comment to the gentleman that Kim seemed much less hostile with the white woman doing her return than she was with me. The gentleman responded that Kim wasn’t being hostile, that she was just trying to get information. I said “it felt hostile when she threw the shoes down on the floor”. The gentleman responded that they were just trying to get info. It is sad that as a woman of color I not only have to endure micro-aggressions from white people but to experience it from another woman of color is a complete shame. Needless to say, I will never patron this store again. I regret making my initial purchase. I hope that management will speak to Kimberly about treating ALL of her costumers with respect. I hope that if she is management, she will consider taking some time away to reflect on her behavior and make positive changes moving forward.
Sam Pence: This team is the best! I've been to almost every running shop in D.C. and the guys here are more knowledgable and passionate about the sport than any other place I've visited. If you've been looking for the perfect shoe, they won't rest until you've found it.
Anne-Marie Mills: Good selection of running shoes, but the sales staff is terrible. I came in to get a fitting for new sneakers, and the sales staff was very uninterested in helping me and were extremely condescending. I ended up leaving and going to Pacer's on 14th where the service is much better.

RMS: We were on our way home when we stumbled upon Road Runner (never heard of them) in fact we went to DSW a couple hours earlier to buy some running sneakers. So it was a satisfying surprise when we walked into Road Runner and was treated with the best service I have had in a very long time by our sales rep JACOB. I have to say he made the experience worth it, you can tell that he cares about his customers and enjoys what he does. Hayden: I came in to get running shoes. Little did I know, I'd get a full analysis of my run, my foot positioning, and my arches. They have computers here that take a full 3d scan of your feet and give you details on where you may be off balance, and what you need to do to fix it. After using the system, I have a much better understanding of how to improve my running! I left with shoes and fitted soles to fix the massive arch issue that I have (ouch). I'm excited for these shoes to take me to the next level and take me to new places! Special shout-out to David. Zx2Nick: Jacob was awesome. I was a walk-in in the Arlington, VA store and he took the time to fit me with some soles and test them out on several running shoes. Aron Sacchetti: Stopped in because I was in the area and was immediately pleased when they offered (insisted) on fitting me for the right shoes and insoles (without having an appointment). I’ve been to a number of running stores and they have never started out by insisting on fitting me for the right shoe. To top it off, the salesperson who helped me, was willing to take my feedback and guide me in a direction I felt comfortable. She kept me in the same brand I was familiar and happy with but helped me find a different model to try. Between that and the custom insoles, I was VERY pleased. As much as I prefer to “shop local”, I was VERY happy with my experience at this “chain” store and will definitely return! UPDATE: (Dec 27, 2021) stopped in again to order a new pair of my sneakers and to have a friend fitted for proper sneakers. Morgan took care of us and did a fantastic job! She was extremely patient and friendly. She took her time measuring our friend and brought out numerous shoes for her to try on. Alex Park: First time review but I've been a member for a year or so. I had a terrific experience with Claudia today, but similar experiences with specialists from previous visits. They have the tools, techniques, and knowledge to help you with any sort of running gear! And they don't just push the expensive and/or popular items. Erik Klein: If you want the best shoes this is the place to go. They listen to what your looking for and make great recommendations. This is the second time Beryl has helped me find shoes and she is great. Friendly and considerate. Store is always clean and fun to go to. They are typically busy but communicate the best way to make sure you are helped. This is not the place you go just for cheap shoes but for people who need help finding the perfect shoe for their needs.

Hedy Gold: Zero Stars! I've never had such an awful experience at a retail store in my life. I was looking for a really nice hands on experience to fit my daughter for running sneakers. Instead I got a very very RUDE saleswoman who should be fired after this. We were told it was a 30 minute wait to get fitted for shoes. There were very few people in the store but apparently they're short staffed. With that understanding we patiently walked around and waited for our turn. The sales woman then rudely asked my 12 year old daughter to move from the bench she was sitting for absolutely no reason. In fact she asked her to move twice and then while I was waiting in line to buy some workout clothes she asked me to move away from the register and asked me to go back and sit on the bench! I considered leaving but really loved a pair of shorts. I then went to purchase them and asked the return policy. I was told if I join a membership then I'm able to return my purchase for 90 days. I was told I have to pay $19.99 or 1.99 if I want to be able to return merchandise. If you don't join the membership I was told returns are not accepted. At that point after the rude service and the no return policy I started to leave. Then I approached a salesman to ask the rude woman's name. He told me were short staffed which is why she was rude. He made an excuse. I will not return!

Travis Aldous: This place was amazing from the word go. While I was in there quite a while it was worthwhile. I have never had issue by experience like this, and found very interesting how they analyzed your stride and measured your feet making sure you got the best fit possible. Lawanda was amazing and very helpful I really felt like I learned a lot about shoes and how to go about moving forward in the future. Jonathan Ratner: I was initially skeptical of the Road Runner foot measurement process. It seemed that it might be not that helpful, perhaps more of a gimmick. I left persuaded that their method yields practical insights for selecting the right shoe for a person—plus I left with a great pair of running/walking shoes! I really like them. In addition, the salesperson proved to be very knowledgeable and skilled at helping me select the right shoe. She also was very pleasant and friendly.

Michael Brown: As a company, REI should not inflict their political beliefs onto customers. That said, they carry good gear and this particular location is fantastic. Every time I have come here they have exactly what I need. The staff are friendly and helpful and generally knowledgeable. I don’t know who makes REI branded clothes and gear, but they do a good job.
Mike R: I like this store for so many reasons. First: they have excellent customer service. Today I walked in with my bike to get my flat tire fixed. A woman approached me and signed me in. Then a man walked up to me and asked if I would like to him to park my bike. I was appalled by this gesture. Second: This establishment has everything here. I mean like… leave that bike area if you want to. You will be buying anything from energy gel to underwear. Third: conveniently located right beside the metro.

Louisa Buatti: I visited REI for the first time since the pandemic began. My pick up of an online order went very smoothly. Every staff person I encountered was friendly and helpful--they all offered to direct me to the customer service/pick up area. I was in and out of the store in a flash.
Andrea Wu: I came here to pick up my shoes that I ordered online, and after trying them out in nature, they were too big so I came back to return and get new ones. The staff helping me was very helpful, bringing me different shoes for me to try on. I finally got a pair that fit properly, and checkout was pretty speedy too. Parking on the street might be a bit tough, but it's not too bad!
H Gill: Great store! love REI… but checking out here is always a 15 min wait. The checkout line moves at a snail’s pace, and the managers/supervisors don’t seem to care. I’ve seen customers put items down and leave out of frustration.
Rebecca Tolbert: Generally a good store, but the parking situation is currently very weird. You park in the parking deck and then have to walk all the way around a whole city block because they have blocked off the elevator and stairs. So, you drive into the parking deck and then have this surprise journey ahead of you, through a sketchy alley and everything. Just wanted to give other customers a heads up!
Ben Layton: Bike shop effectively closes at 6:30, not 7:00, since you have to get on a wait-list to get the bike checked in and the wait-list closes at 6:30. Called in advance and told them when I'd get there and they didn't mention that, so came all the way here for nothing. Turnaround on basic repairs also 9-10 days rn, which is honestly nuts.
R: Oddly enough they aren’t dog friendly yet I saw a pitbull walking around without a service vest. The area around is horrendous, good luck finding a parking spot. Really disappointed that REIs aren’t dog friendly yet their competitors REI and Bass Pro is.

Aaron Contic: Came into this location to purchase a set of irons, found a set of Taylormade M2 irons that I initially thought were correctly priced at $499. I asked the team member working in the golf department that I was interested and ask where the rest of the set was. He replied that the rest of the set was missing. I asked what was the current price with 3 clubs of the 7 iron set missing? His response was “that’s the price, my manger won’t change it for some reason, but you can ask him” So I asked to speak to the manger which He initially said was available. I was then told that the manager currently on duty was conveniently on a conference call and was now unavailable and the answer was “NO” on a new price for the remaining clubs. To start the team member was friendly and helpful. That being said. I’m also a manager in retail and if a customer asked to talk to a manager about a reasonable question. Im not going to have my employee have to tell the customer “NO” That’s terrible customer service and it’s also a bad business practice to try to sell customers a product that’s missing pieces for the same price as if it’s not!

Bought a fitness trampoline to keep a 7 yr old from going stir crazy in an apartment during these NO School days! Hope it works! It was Waaay up high. Had 3 different associates make sure I got what needed. All while helping other customers.

Kelly took over and found such perfect shoes for me that my husband asked about his needs and he also bought two pair. We love HS but love it more with Kelly to help! Juli Morrissey: Ordered K-Swiss Wide shoes. The box had the right item number but the shoes in the box were not wide (a different item number). After taking pictures as requested, qualified for free return. Was sent a FedEx label. Went to FedEx. Label did not work and Fed Ex said to go back to sender and get a new label. Sent an email per instructions to the email address on paperwork for such an issue. Email returned as undeliverable (address was bad). Sent an email to the contact who had been helping me and still have heard nothing to this day. Sent them back (I paid) and just got my refund which is .95 cents short of what I paid (don't know why) and no contact about me paying to send them back and getting some/all reimbursement (not that I expected to). So maybe if whatever you buy works for you there are no issues. But BEWARE if you have to return. My husband had the same issue. I wish he had mentioned it prior to my ordering from here. One star because the shoes did come in time and I am not sure if it was a Holabird or K-Swiss issue on the shoes in the wrong box.

We were having an issue with our return confirmation emails sending the orders with an incorrect "cents" figure. I can confirm that the refund was for the full price. If needed, I would check your credit card account/statement, and that will confirm. I will have a supervisor reach out via the phone as well just to follow up and apologize for the issues. Again, I am sorry for the email and label issues as we certainly do not like to have any of our customers have issues!

Pre C: 10/10 would recommend. There were a few different trials. The one I took was not long or hard at all. There were a few inclines and slopes that we’re icy but it was a great way to get in a little cardio. The waterfall was beautiful and so was the lake beside it. If you love nature and just the outdoors Come here. I sat near the waterfall and wrote some poetry. It’s a beautiful spot for a little picnic. Parking was a little close but if you can drive/Park then you’ll be fine lol. I will definitely be going back.
Juergen S: Great relatively easy hikes for the family. There were a few challenging hills on the trail, but only because they were a bit long. The pylon bridge could also be a moderate challenge for some, but really fun for the kids. See pics for bridges. The falls were very nice and worth the hike to see them and the river. We will come back to try more trails. Only critique is there was no description plaque for the old cabin location.
Da-Wang Wu: We arrived around 10am on Sunday morning and luckily took the last parking space in the parking lot. There were two parking lots, and we parked in the larger one that could directly work along the river to see the waterfall. Overall, it’s an easy hike with a short uphill hike, but little kids might not feel comfortable to cross the river.
Rory G: I went on an extremely crowded day, a lot of people trashed the place which was really unfortunate because it really does have a lot of potential- I'll have to go back on a less busy day. As for swimming I would not advise it, the water has a strong smell & the ranger said there's sewage in the water. Absolutely beautiful scenery though
Jessica Long: This is an amazing hike with a creek, a waterfall, and a beautiful jagged coast! It’s well marked with colored trails and map check points intermittently. It isn’t the best for children less than 4 or 5 because of some of the steep jagged parts along the Potomac. But these are potentially avoidable by taking routes that don’t follow the light blue trail to start. There was a hawk and people are very kind. The parking is tight. So, either get there early or bring some patience’s because you’ll have to wait. There is a Second parking lot a little less than half mile down the road from the first off of I-495 is bigger.
Leila Mueller: I prefer to park at the second lot of this preserve as there are more spaces and it's got more water to look at during my walk. The first half of the trek to the waterfall is relatively flat but a good pair of shoes is highly recommended as there are several loose or unearthed rocks along the way. Once you start climbing the hill to reach the falls, the path becomes significantly more rocky and unstable. At the top of the hill is a set of stairs that lead to another path in the preserve that also make a great bench before descending down the other side to get to the falls. While they're not huge, it's a nice feature and worthwhile goal to push you forward should you desire a landmark motivator. If you don't care to see them, enjoy the beautiful water rushing along the path that is well covered by the surrounding trees and that also hosts tadpoles, birds, and plenty of plant life for your eyes to feast on as you walk on the compacted dirt path and likely hop across the two sets of water stepping-stones before seeing the hill to take you towards the falls. You can always turn back around from there and know you've experienced some of the best views of the area.
Liz Ford: I took my ten yr old son here and the only challenge is the parking. It is a sharp right turn off Georgetown Pike: so be prepared! Only about eight/ten spots but luckily someone left as we pulled in. The terrain is easily managed and we scaled some rocks to get above the waterfall and we traversed some to get immediately by the waterfall. It is a fun trek and we were off the trail for a bit but found our way back to the trail; after going off on a tangent. I recommend this hike and would do it again. Clearly posted trail maps are all over.

Kev- keepingitreal: This Walmart offers Capital City Mambo Sauce, Fruits, Vegetables, Seafood, Poultry, Dairy and all sorts of Household Items. This Walmart needs to improve its Elevator services, only two out three of the elevators are working, it would be nice if they removed one of the elevator and replace it with stairs that lead customers from the parking garage to the street level and to Walmart store level for easy access. The current stairs only give customer access from the street level to Walmart store and no access to the parking garage. This Walmart includes a Pharmacy and free two hours of parking in the parking garage. This store has shopping carts available in the store and in the garage areas.
Mirka Mendez: It's Walmart, there are no grocery stores nearby (that I know) so it's an option. Smaller than the usual supercenter, very small produce section. There was an approximately 10 min wait at every registers when I visited.
PaulDavid Morado: Not exactly the best side of town. It is Walmart so all things that go with Walmart come along with this place. It's not close to any Metro station so be prepared for a walk is it on the other side of Chinatown. Excellent place for fruits and vegetables in all things grocery but be prepared also to bring your own bags as there seems to be carts missing
Aminah Imani: Its conveniently located but not the best Walmart to be in. The customers were loud and the security with large bullet proof vests doesn’t make it a welcoming vibe. Grab your products and head out quick. They do validate parking and leave patience for the slow running elevators. The employees were helpful and efficient. This location isn’t my preference but it gets the job done when in dire need.
Sassy Sauce: Mixed experience with this store. It’s a good location and there is parking available in the underground garage. First 2 hours are free. The store has items locked in a case that I couldn’t understand. For example, women’s underwear and some personal hygiene items. Also, the store wasn’t too crowded while I was there and the associate I asked to help me gave me clear directions as to what aisle the product I needed would on. The parts of the store I visited were clean and the overall shopping experience was ok. No major complaints. Just strange observations about profits being locked behind glass.
C. Zed: Well it exists, that I appreciate. I’ll continue to shop here. The cashiers scan items more than once, has already happened twice for me. The store is small and often too messy. The aisles are narrow, and the carts are way too big for the store. Many items are locked behind cases. Could be a better experience, especially for the closest location to the US Capitol.

Virginia S: Need more employees/cashiers working. These stores rely too heavily on self checkout. Which is fine if you like to DIY but there shouldn't be so little cashiers that you turn the customers into employees and shoppers at the same time. Some people go shopping for the experience of the human interaction they have buying their things, having someone else ring it up is part of the experiences. Stop cutting corners your customers are not happy with it trust me
Van D Peluche: Terrible terrible. Twice I have ordered online groceries and the first time I did not get it until an hour later and the second time I didn’t get it until a day later than the scheduled period. Absolutely awful. Plus no one in any department answers phone calls. And their produce is very poor quality. May as well not even have the grocery delivery service. Will not even notify about orders being held for the next day.
Harriet Saulsbury: Love shopping at Walmart, some of the eorker are rude ask them a question they always say its not my department and walk away. Another thing as many seniors and disable people shopping there on a daily basis you only have maybe 10 electric scooters for the entire store which is a super store but you have maybe only 2 scooters working. You also took away your seating you have in the lobby of the stores where are we supposed to sit and wait on rides and family members to finish shopping?

Jereth Tolentino: The W&OD is an amazing trail that this city is so lucky to have. I wish more city would have dedicated trail like this all over the US. It encourages people to bike to work. This trail is perfect for Cyclists, Runners, Walkers for all ages. Very safe dedicated trail with little to no Vehicles. It also connects other Trails like the Four Mile run and Mt. Vernon trail. Definitely a 5 star.
Jennifer Lancaster: Easy grade, paved, established trail. First mile and a half has pedestrian crossing, but once you cross Columbia Pike, no issues of car traffic if you really want to zone out. Beautiful scenery.
Nam Cao: Used the trail to bike into DC. Best way to travel in the city. Lots of bike lanes and beats walking. But scenery around trail (before arriving to the city) was not super exciting.

Jessica Long: Parked on the street perpendicular to the trail. There was a sign that no parking from 7-9a M-F, but otherwise good parking available on that street. The trail is great. From the start there are stops for streets and lights, but past mile marker 2.5 or so, it was pretty continuous and uninterrupted. Nice scenes of the creek along the route and able to run the 4 mile trail run as well.
Jesus Careaga: Great trail, the elevation gain isn't bad its just a bit long. You don't need to be in great biking shape for it. The way back says mostly flat it's really not. Don't expect to coast the whole way back. You still need to pedal. Great stops on the trail Great views

Katelyn Gingrich: Definitely check out this running store. The team here is fantastic. I am from out-of-town and visited the city for the NYC Half this past weekend. Unfortunately I forgot my Garmin watch charger and knew my low battery watch wouldn’t make it to the start line. I visited two stores near Columbus circle and neither place were able to help. I became desperate and called other stores nearby and the wonderful team at Fleet Feet West Side answered my prayers. They had a Garmin charger on hand and offered to charge it a bit for me. They were able to get my watch to half battery and it lasted me my entire race! Their shop has a fabulous selection of socks with all the great brands like feetures, balega, and smartwool. I picked up a great running tank while I was there. They get bonus points for having my favorite Gu flavor: S’mores!
Lauren Gamiel: Etan was super helpful! I've never worn HOKA Bondi's before so still TBA on whether they work for me long term, but I definitely felt like it was a great and customized experience overall. Plus they have a great return/exchange policy if it doesn't work out. Remember, feet/gait/conformation are actually incredibly complex and everyone's body moves differently, so sometimes things might not work, and that's ok. Thanks team!

Darren Thompson: I have been going to this location for my running needs for a few years now. Every time I go, it is always a good experience . But this time was better than any I previously had. A few weeks back, my wife and I went in for shoes for her to walk around in and do some arch repair on her feet as prescribed by her doctor. I went in just to get an idea of an upgrade to the running shoes I have for a couple of big races I will participate in. We met an associate named Jonathan and he wowed us with his knowledge and service. He could see we both had problems with our feet and gave great recommendations for both walking and distance running. I was able to walk away with some training shoes recommended to deal with knee pain and low arches. Thanks to him, I have greatly improved my running in a short amount of time. My wife was able to get some shoes to start the repair process on her collapsed arches. Jonathan, Thank you!!!
Christian Plumb: The salesman was extremely friendly and helpful and it's great that you can try the sneakers out on a treadmill and sample a variety of models and brands. But he also gave a very unorthodox recommendation on size - that I should actually buy running shoes two sizes bigger than I had previously been wearing. This turned out to be bad advice - I have suffered from blisters like never before from the Nikes he sold me and I'm sure it's because of the sizing. A disappointing case of "personalized attention" going wrong.
Rodrigo Gularte Mérida: I came to get a new pair of sneakers at the nyc west side store. The sales assistant had me walk and evaluated my pace and gate. Then put me on their treadmill to check if there was anything to correct. After he explained everything he observed, took a new foot measure and asked what style of sneaker I liked. Then brought over 6 pairs, and again had me walk and run to get a feel for them, and suggested me a set of insoles for arch support. Overall the Jack Rabbit staff was very professional, helpful and pleasant. They understood exactly what I was looking for and made excellent sneaker recommendations for my needs. I’ve now been using these non stop and my feet feel great.
Clara Y: Been wearing Brooks' Adrenalines for years. Came to this JackRabbit hoping to find new options. A trip last year to Super Runners left me with improper shoes, gifting me shin splints, severe arch pains, and a general mistrust for gait analyses at running stores. JackRabbit is different. I was one of two people at the store, and the salesperson took much time explaining to me my gait and the shoe that I need. After listening to my preferences, she let me try on many sneakers in a wide variety of sizes. We finally settled on Hoka Clifton with insoles, and it's been great—perfect for long runs. So far have logged 25 miles and today used them on 14 mile run with no issues. Definitely will go back.
Rosie Delgado: I went in today looking for a pair of recovery slippers. Sadly the ones I wanted weren't in stock, but Jonathan helped me pick the perfect pair! They didn't have by size in stock, but he put a pair on hold in another store, which was waiting at the cashier when I arrived! I'll definitely go back as he's knowledgeable about the shoes carried, and knew how to guide me to the perfect pair of slides that are sooooo comfy for my jacked up ankle!

Kelly Lee: It's medium high trail. A lot of rocks, mud, and streams that you need to climb over. Turkey Run trail that connects to the Potomac River got flooded and we weren't able to pass by. A lot of bugs since it's close to water and some dead animals on its path. But the stairs and chairs were very well maintained. Plenty of parkings.
Rebecca Goodman: This is a fun hike and you're right along the water for a good part of it! There are several stairs, and part where we crossed the water (I didn't get a picture of that part because we ran into a group there). It's a beautiful path but the water!
Jinmei Yin: It is a very fun trail, many crossings of runs,there are two places that need the tops to help cross. Follow the blue then yellow/orange marks.
Alex Kolkena: A beautiful trail with great views of the Potomac River. Definitely a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Washington DC.
AKC 96: Great for quiet and calm walks. The parking access road needs a bit of love. Let's keep it calm and pristine!
Sai: Take a U turn instead of taking left towards park head quarters & head towards the exit after Turkey Run park board. Park at C1 or C2. Restrooms are available near parking. The trails start near C1 . American Legion trail is a quick loop with stairs . Theodre roosevelt trail is in the way of this trail.
Sam Jones: If coming from East, go past park headquarters and turn right after the Turkey Run Park sign. Coming from West is straight forward, just turn at Turkey Park sign. Melissa Muscio: Beautiful views, a good mix of terrain - some need to climb over rocks and streams, narrow paths in a few places, but not a strenuous hike. It may be challenging for those with stability issues, but otherwise it's on the moderate/easy side.
Camille Ng: Only checked the trail starting from Parkway Headquarters in area A. There is an outdoor restroom at this location. Easy trail to reach the Potomac Heritage trail except for a spot where you have the cross a river walking on rocks.
John Foltz: This was an awesome hike for our family to take. Beautifil scenery throughout the whole area. Hard to believe this is where it is. We look forward to going back here soon. I would really like to see it in the fall and winter months.

So today i go buy the skate the price is the same i get to ✔ out the guy goes the price is 29.98 im like no they are wrong so i asked him to fix honor the price he said he can not do it the manager comes show me a picture if you want the item i go take the pic waited in line again another cahier tried to help but the first cashier said no I have the transaction on hold. So i kept on waiting them it was only one person behind me and he said i cannot do it go to customer services. I go he said to customer i have a big line i was like really. Ok finally thay send me back to the manager and she did not ask for the pic or anything and charged me 29.98. But before this she said to the customer service do not come with that. Anyway she was not even wearing the mask properly she had it on her neck. I end up returning the item and got the price at customer service with a DIFFERENT cashier after 3 different lines. taqueya spriggs: I experienced very poor customer service. My family and I shopped here for the first time a week ago and the cashier who rung the father of my children's items began yelling at him because he realized after placing his items on the belt that he forgot to pick up an item that he needed in the aisle. Thereafter, the cashier began shouting for him to return to the checkout counter to complete his transaction because the store was closing soon. I for one don't have a problem with store personnel explaining to me that I am unable to go back to the aisles to select additional items to purchase because closing time is vastly approaching, but it's how you talk to people. Not to mention store security personnel tried to intimate myself and the father of my children in front of them as if he wanted to arrest us. He also became antagonizing by ordering another patron nearby to pull out his phone to video record him throwing me out of the store when I had no involvement with the incident that transpired between the cashier and my significant other. I will never shop at this location again and retail workers should be mindful of their tone and demeanor with customers because my significant other was not being confrontational, disorderly, or destroying property after being publicly humiliated in front of everyone in the store for no apparent reason. This kind of behavior is shameful and despicable and I was mortified. I am a regular shopper of Walmart corporations and I spent a lot money that day and do not deserve to be treated like a common criminal. With everything going on in the world and due to poor customer service and lack of respect for others, I think retailers should convert their services over to online shopping. This way customers can still reap the benefits of shopping without the having to potentially endure poor customer service. In the future Amazon will get all of my business.
Keshia Wideman: The absolute worst customer service ever. The store manager Patrick is non responsive to the lack of professionalism and ethics of the staff concerning, customers concerns/complaints. They are definitely a representation of his leadership and it shows. He doesn’t follow up on cooperates complaints, and the store is not organized properly at times. They don’t honor price misplaced items, and the cashiers are sarcastic, and rude at times. Crystal has been there awhile and can be rude and dismissive. I had to address her , and others about their rude, unethical behavior.
Michael Perez: If Purgatory exists, this Walmart will be a level. The place was clean and had an organization known to them. Not like any I've ever visited (and I've had the pleasure...to visit more than a few) but I'm sure when you've done your penance of shopping here a few times you get used to it. What really sets this store apart from the others is the stylistic hell that is the checkout process. 7 lanes with at least 9 patrons each. Cashiers that appear to be participating in a slow-down strike (and if they are, my hat's off to them and their cause). And at least 3 arguments between customers that verged on World Star territory. I will say that the curbside personnel were a little more engaged in their work.
Meghan Elizabeth: Grey hair lady at self checkout needs to find a different job or just retire. There is no reason an employee, especially one of her age, should be treating customers so poorly and getting a major attitude at anyone who is just trying to find a register that is working. If machines need fixed they need to kindly tell people to wait. Not be rude, make a scene and glare at everyone who is waiting to checkout. Who lets these kind of people work here???? Mike B: Great paved trail between DC and Mt Vernon. Parked at Jomes point rode to Mt. Vernon and back. Gets twisty and fun in some areas. Alternates from woods to Great views of the river. More hills than advertised gets hillier the closer you get to Mt. Vernon. Great ride.
e d: So far this is the best trail I ever been on. You get to pass around the memorials,plane landing watch area & beautiful bodies of water scenes. Anacostia is next up
Juan Starnotip: I walked this trail in sections, but I did enjoy the challenge. Some sections have steep inclines and uneven pavement. There's also a part of the trail where it crosses GW parkway that is very dangerous.
Alfonso Ch: Nice bike ride. Challenging incline as you get close to Mt Vernon. Good views of Potomac. Well paved.

Li Hong: Hard to get to by car because the entrance looks like apartments, but its that area. You can go to the park below the bridge or the trail along the bridge on top! Sadly I got rained out of crossing the bridge but I will try again another time :)
Daniel Garatea: Great trail, nice views along the entire length of the trail. One of my regular cycling routes, as it's consistent and safe to ride, and long enough to be a real workout. There's plenty of parking along the trail in various lots and other smaller parks. But it does get crowded on the weekends and lots of runners not paying attention because they are wearing headphones.
Bryan Chambers: The scenery is spectacular and if you only hike a few miles of the whopping 18 mile trail, you may feel differently. ...and no, I did not hike the 18 miles. Truly a great trail to work on your miles. I plan to target different portions of the trail to build my miles.
Naheed Mann: Breath taking sunrise and sunsets along this trail. I work at Carl Sandburg Middle school off of Fort Hunt road and only took the job because of my drive in and drive out. I see the Potomac river off of the George W. Pkwy and its beautiful and soothing. I have a water star sign...go figure!
Jonathan Pham: Great trail that takes you to Mount Vernon. Tough climb on the bike to Washington’s house. But so worth it!

Devynn Banks: Went in today with my brother as I was looking for my first real quality shoe. I’ve always just bought whatever was on sale and never gave my feet the right attention when shopping for shoes. My PT recommended some stability shoes and suggested Ragged Mountain. Walked in this morning and was helped immediately! We had a younger woman assisting us and she was amazing. I could tell by her selection that she was pulling the right shoes for my feet. Once I checked out, my brother was so impressed by her knowledge and care that he also wanted to find a new pair! He has some previous foot/ankle injuries and they paired him with a great pair of Hokas! Loved my experience and will probably never buy another sneaker anywhere else!
Elizabeth Huber: Excellent online customer service! Within minutes of ordering my item, I was sent a personal email explaining that it had been shipped and I would receive my tracking order soon. I have ordered clothing from here before and the quality is always top-notch. It is easy to support a small business when they are as responsive and reliable as Ragged Mountain.

Margaret Tse Fitting: Went in Friday afternoon around 4. Even though it was pretty busy, I was quickly greeted by staff and helped by Beth, I believe, who was very nice. I have flat feet and have just always picked whatever sneakers that felt comfortable, looked nice, but didn't necessarily have the support I need. She asked me what pain I felt and then she had me walk the store while she watched with my shoes on and shoes off. She then brought a few different options out including Brooks, ASICS, Hoka, and New Balance. Each time she checked to make sure they fit right and watched my stride. I settled on the ASICS and I'm looking forward to trying them out! All employees wear a mask and they request that all customers do as well. If you come in without a mask, they will ask you to wear one and have some on hand in case you need it.
Erica Josten: Customer service is above and beyond. Ragged Mountain is such a great store for runners and walkers alike. They take time to listen to your needs and find a shoe that works for you. Loyal customer for over a decade and will keep coming back!

Fletcher's Cove: what do users think?
Rosie: I loved this place. Set my portable hammock in the shade and let the day pass by. Plenty of families enjoying the place but not too crowded. Watch out for the ducks and their dropping in the grass. Go for a walk in the trial then relax and unwind here.
Riley E: Beautiful park with trails and lovely views of the river. Lots of trash though, hopefully people are more careful to pack out what they pack in. Imagine how much cooler the park would be if folks didn't litter. Got some seriously lush greenery there, it's a shame it's dotted with cans and food wrappers.
Leah Lambart: Fun park to bring kids and dogs. We had a fun time exploring this park and hiking trails. The trails were muddy at points but we walked in sneakers without any problem. They had many fishermen fishing off the side of the banks. It’s a great view of the river and nature. There’s plenty of things for kids to climb on and explore.
Johny Mccahill: Fletchers cove is a great place.You can find parking for your car or bike and look over the river and relax.Rent a boat and grab a snack and put in to enjoy nature along the shore and see ospreys and other wildlife abundantly.
Rose Schaum: I'm always looking for parks along the river and this one along B&O and Potomac is really rustic and fun. It can be a little confusing your first time going there, I suggest you do a little direction research ahead of your outing. Biking and hiking trails, kayak and canoe rentals, picnic tables with some stationary grills and spots for campfires. Dogs on leashes are very welcome. The restrooms are at the upper parking area. The larger parking area is down by the river past upper parking lot just go straight over tiny bridge when entering.
Susan Reinhardt: Enjoyed a guided kayak tour on the Potomac on a spring evening just before sunset. Beautiful views, decent boats, and nice guides. A little pricey but worth it. We saw a bald eagle along the shore which let our boats drift nearer to him. Very cool!
Lauri Pesantez Pacheco: Beautiful place! To park there the car must go under a tunnel and there is a height limit. There is a boat/kayak rental and can use their ramp for personal kayaks for 5 dollars. There is also a free launching site that doesn’t have a ramp but is pretty easy to use.

beyondTabu: It has potential. Parking is sufficient, kayak/ canoe rental does the job. There’re multiple bbq pits and a nice area to relax. The issues are there’re no trash bins so people leave their trash on the trails and there’re way too many hooks and lines left behind from anglers. They authorities need to have more patrols to fine people who litter etc.
Jake Jacobs: Great area to go to for a walk along the canal. Short walks are fine, but if you're someone who likes to put some milage on your walking shoes, you can walk along the canal for several miles. Also great views of the Potomac River along the way.

Maryland Brad: Easy, short trail...not much if you're looking for a hike as I was.
Liz Ford: I went with my no one year old son and we parked at Bull Run and then walked down a slight incline into the woods. As you head out, you can hear cars but the further you go, the sound disappears. It was a quiet trail and we only passed five people but we did start at 1:30 pm on a 90 degree day. There is a ton of shade and we did not overheat. There are clear marks throughout the trail to keep you on track. There was some woman who had her wet dog off leash and it jumped up on me but otherwise pretty uneventful. I recommend this for small kids and it was pretty easy. The public bathrooms are not open at the trailhead so plan to use the loo before you go.
John Foltz: My family and I hunt for little gems like this when we can. 2/19/20 we found this one. It is one of the most beautiful areas we have seen. Such a quiet place that we stopped just to listen to the nothing. We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. Trail is NOT stroller friendly. We like the torture I guess. I'm feeling it now but well worth it. Can't wait to pick this area apart. Please, don't leave your trash, including your dogs biodegradable poop bag.
Mariah: Lovely hike right next to the Occoquan. Enjoyed it along with my sister and grandma. We went about a mile and a half before turning around. I think the whole thing is about 6 miles and it takes you to a different parking area. I would definitely bring along good walking shoes and a walking stick if you plan on doing the whole trail as it can get a little strenuous is some parts. There were quite a few people out on the trail St. Patricks Day, and it was a gorgeous day to be out and about.

Maria Stoica: I always appreciate a great trail and the outdoors are my church where I can commune with the universe. That being said, this is the first trail I have ever rated less than 4 stars. Perhaps it deserves 4 rather than 3, but I am a bit irritable today so I’m going with 3. First, I was not happy with the state of the parking lot. There were big piles of wood chips all over and in general the place looked uncared for. Second, the map sign was poorly marked, not adequately indicating the trail, leaving us to wander around for a good half hour before finding our way. At one point, the signage led us in a circle, at another, straight into the river. (Go to the left, trust me). Signage is critical as there is no cell phone reception in the parking lot (fun fact: I once read that route signage designers (like in an airport) have the most under appreciated job — not by me, I’ll tell you that!!). Third, the bathrooms were closed. ? . Fourth, the trail itself was kind of boring and for most of the three hour hike we could hear obnoxious alpha males rev their engines on the road nearby. The one upside (both literally and figuratively) is the workout you will get ... we did a 6 mile round trip hike and my jams are burning!
Jay L: This trail is about a level 3.5 out of 5. The up and downs can be hard. The views are amazing. If you have children. I wouldn't advise to take them here. Its great for group hike or a solo one.
Saroj Poudyal: Good and quiet place for hiking around the lake.
Jacob Blandford: This is a great trail. It’s a little hard to find and follow at first but once you get past the marina it’s a wonderful trail that follows the river and has great views.
Tracy Dugan: Generally decent hiking trails but way too short. All three trials we took that were listed a 4 miles plus dead-end at a body of water (the river) after 20 minutes of walking. Update your trail maps and signage please.

Wil Schurr: It was an OK experience we went looking for snow pants and there was such a slim selection. We ended up going elsewhere for jackets and snow pants but did get gloves and balaclavas. Would've figured mid January that there would be a bigger selection of snow wear. Update 4/23/22: Still just an OK experience lol. Google asked me to update the review. All sorts of summer things out. Bought 2 pairs of women's shorts and a men's tank top. $90 are you kidding! Literally the items with the least amount of fabric cost so much. That being said the manager was great at returning an item with a gift receipt that was giving the POS trouble. Thanks manager!
John Tadlock: Not bad overall but I went to the 2nd floor and finally got the attention of the guy at the registrar, once he finally took his earphones out, I asked where the volleyballs where and he said probably downstairs, as I was going back down I saw them out of the corner of my eye and found them, UPSTAIRS. Shouldn't be hard to know where things are, I wasn't asking a professional question, he should at the very least know where the department is. Take out the earphones and be at least slightly professional, have some kind of pride
Hairy Dweller: Me and my family have always gone here to get our gear for sports as long as I can remember. The employees are very kind and helpful. There’s nothing I can’t find there.
Margaret Gora: Scott, who assisted us during our visit, was very knowledgeable and very friendly.The store has an excellent merchandise selection thus you never leave it disappointed and the helpful staff will make always sure that all your needs have been met.
Felicia King: Not much of a variety, and when looking for soccer cleats there isn’t anyone around in the shoe department to assist. I even used the call button and scanned the shoe. And when I took my son’s bicycle in for repair, understandable that it was a busy season. It would likely take more than the 5 days they originally said. It took a whole month and not even fixed. Guaranteed the part wasn’t even ordered. Said they’d call me back, but I knew that was a lie. There’s no such thing as good customer service no more.
Marc Spears: The store is great. Lots of good products. I was there to buy fishing line and to have it spooled to my three reels. That said, it was a bad experience from there on. Young guy didn't do a good job.
Edson Castellanos: Great variety for all your sports needs. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable but at times hard to find. If your a fishing person their fishing selection is great also. Sneaker selection is great and at times they have shoes the big shoe stores don't. Clothes section is also big and well organized. Overall a great store.
Marwa: Worst customer service!!! I bought a Hoka Clifton 8 running shoes from the store as per their associate's recommendation. I asked about the return policy and was told that I can return the shoes within 30 days if it's lightly worn. I bought the shoes on Monday and wore it on Tuesday went for a light jog and got blisters on my feet. I went to the store to return the shoes and get another pair more fitting but they refused to take it and denied any policy of wearing the shoes outside the store. It felt like I fall into a trap ☹️
Lijun G: We used to have a big DSG store in fairfax but it was closed and moved to a smaller lot in the fair oaks mall with a small stock. So i went to the Dulles one. Even though it didn't seem they have a lot of staff around, but I was greeted and offered help quickly. I was assisted by Ralph, who took the trouble to identify the model and price tag of the kayak for me and then an another round for a discount with the store mgr since the kayak was apparently the last one, missing manual and was stained some black marks, and then another round to help me to carry the kayak to the check out and eventually to my car. He was so patient with me when I told him that I was not sure that my car would be large enough to carry the kayak inside, and I may need to return it if the kayak didn't fit in. While I was waiting at the check out, Ralph took the trouble to clean the stains on the kayak for me. I really appreciate his assistance patience and kindness. If it was not the professionalism and helpfulness of Ralph, I might not be able to purchase the kayak in the first place and carry it inside my car. All in all, a pretty good sporting goods store and great staff!
