Jasmine: Loved this local shop! Great selection of quality running shoes. The staff was very kind and incredibly helpful. I was sized so quickly and was paired with a perfect pair of running shoes. Mary Bei Prince: i visited the pacers on 14th street in search of a trusty walking shoe and was immediately greeted by two of the most customer oriented and knowledgeable employees, Sam and Ethan. They asked me a series of questions and watched me walk before using their expertise and experience to conjure a series of shoes that would support my flat, wide feet and supinated ankle. After trying on four different pairs of shoes i chose the arahi’s because of the spacious toe box and pitch. As someone with problem feet, shopping for shoes is extremely anxiety producing, but Sam and Ethan cultivated a comfortable environment in which i felt deeply cared for. I would recommend pacers to anyone looking for sneakers and community :)

Mike P: The best running store! They organize runs on almost every day of the week. If they don't have a run at this location, they most likely have one at one of their other close by locations. One thing great about these runs is often they'll do a partnership with a shoe brand to lend a pair to try during the run. This is the best way to try a new shoe. But they also have a pretty good return policy if you don't try it and just purchase it on the spot. The staff is very familiar with running stances too (pronation, comfort, etc) so if you're new to running, definitely consult with them to understand what type of shoe you need. Everyone working there has been very friendly everytime I've purchased a shoe or socks. They also are generally the same price as other places, but honestly even a few dollars more, makes it worth it for the service they provide. Hope you check them out whether you're new or seasoned to running!

Michael Kennedy: Pacers is the best thing that has happened to me since moving here. The run club is friendly and well organized . When purchasing, the staff (Steve and Elyse) are supremely knowledgeable about the products , and unlike other stores are actual runners. 🤘

H Greenjeans: So thankful to have this local running store. The employees are always so friendly and accommodating. I'm a larger person and I don't get looked at sideways when I walk in. Surprisingly I run at least three times a week and several miles at a time, so I need to replace my shoes at least twice a year. On this last go-around, covid policies were abided by as well as social distancing. Employees gave their recommendations and I had fun picking out new shoes AND socks. They have Darn Tough running socks now too! Anyways, awesome store and I can't wait to go back! Thank you all!

Andres Mendoza: Really nice running store with a good variety of shoes and running gear. The staff is really helpful and knowledgeable. They took the time to fit me properly and answered all my questions, and I had several. Kelce was the gentleman who took care of me and he really gave me helpful information without overwhelming me. I ended up with a pair of Brooks and a nice DC flag hat. I definitely recommend and will go back.

Tate Harris: Zach saved my feet!!! In my 18 years of life, I have never been able to find a pair of shoes that feel great on my awful feet. After walking 15,000 steps a day touring DC and suffering through every minute of it, I came into Pacers Running to get fitted. Zach had me take off my shoes, measured my feet, watched me walk, and gave me a few options. He was so sweet and professional and clearly incredibly experienced and skilled. It felt like he read my mind in terms of what I needed! I have never had shoes that fit me so well. People have told me that I need arch support for my whole life even though I find it painful but Zach knew just what I was talking about and found shoes that support my feet in other ways! My feet and I are SO grateful.

Walker Livingston: Extremely professional, helped me out greatly for a shoe appointment. I've been running in what they recommended for the past two weeks. I need slightly more cushion, and the shoes have been perfect. Heading here the next time I need a new pair.

Young Park: Drove over after an awful experience at the Road Runner Sport location in Rockville. Had some pain in my heel during my workouts and Andrew helped me right away. He assessed me on the spot and got me the best shoe that actually took away the pain. They didn’t have the right color and when ordering them was also not going to work, he offered the Nike store down the street. He didn’t get the sale but he still wanted to make sure the customer was taken care of. That is what this is all about. Will be back for my next purchase. All around a great experience.

K. O'Keefe: I have been a customer of Fleet Feet for ten years. Always great service and I have had success with the shoes they fit for me despite having really hard feet due to a significant injury years ago. And then, I tried RnJ in Bethesda because I was there for another errand and desperately needed shoes. The guy there got my shoes but didn't help with the fitting and assured me, against my better judgement, that the selection of shoes fit. They were a terrible fit. And customer service was awful. I returned to Fleet Feet and they were - once again - great. Customer Service is always knowledgeable and attentive. Never pushy. Always a great fit.

Sarah Luna: Highly recommend! It was busy when I walked in, but someone had greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. I asked immediately asked if I needed help and someone offered to go through a fitting with me. It was a great experience, they asked me about my past and current running experience, measured my feet, and even looked at the way I walked and noticed that I overpronate. They were very knowledgable and told me the benefits and cons of each shoe. Although they did not have a treadmill, they said I was more than welcome to take them outside and run around to test them. The gentleman who helped me was very patient and never rushed me. When checking out, they made a customer profile for me so they know what shoes I bought I will definitely be coming back.

A.N. Breuer: Great shop. I needed comfortable and versatile trainers. They really take a lot of time to listen to your questions and to look for suitable shoes. The variety of colors is very limited, but I still rate this with 5 stars just because I never got such a competent advice. I don't know if this is normal in the US, but in Germany (where I come from) it's more like they want to get rid of you as fast as possible. The man who gave advice to me had more useful tips than an orthopedist I had visited.

Rick Yorgey: Kimberly is always so welcoming and thankful for our business. Love this place where you can find quality products, get great and knowledgeable service, AND sometimes get a fun story to boot, like maybe about a marathon PR in Little Rock. Ya gotta love it!

Trina Tento: I had just moved to DC and needed a new pair of running shoes. I decided to check out this store and boy was I glad I did! As soon as I walked into the store I was immediately welcomed by the sales associate Will. He told me about the fitting process they provide where they check to see how my feet hold me up. Will was very communicative and told me that I pronate a bit and need shoes with something called a medial post. I have had many foot problems in the past and needed something with lots of cushion. He then brought out a variety of shoe options for me to try and we went through the benefits and cons for each shoe for my feet. He really took the time to make sure I was comfortable and knew how each pair of shoes worked with my feet. I didn't feel pressured to get a pair of shoes and I was able to find one I really liked. I have never went to a running store where the staff was so knowledgable about feet and shoes. I will definitely be coming back for my next pair. Thank you fleet feet!

Tameshia Henry: On 6-25-2020 I went into Fleet Feet to return a pair of sneakers that I’d purchased along with two sets of insoles. When I came into the store three people greeted me and began simultaneously asking me questions about the sneakers. The woman, Kimberly, asked me if I had the receipt to which I responded “yes”. She asked me if I had the original box to which I responded that I did not. She then threw the shoes down on the floor and walked over to the register huffing and puffing and did not say another word to me. A gentleman walked from behind the register to help me find a different pair of sneakers. As I was trying in different pairs a white woman came into the store with a return. Kimberly asked her if she had a receipt, the woman handed her the receipt, Kimberly smiled and completed the transaction. I made the comment to the gentleman that Kim seemed much less hostile with the white woman doing her return than she was with me. The gentleman responded that Kim wasn’t being hostile, that she was just trying to get information. I said “it felt hostile when she threw the shoes down on the floor”. The gentleman responded that they were just trying to get info. It is sad that as a woman of color I not only have to endure micro-aggressions from white people but to experience it from another woman of color is a complete shame. Needless to say, I will never patron this store again. I regret making my initial purchase. I hope that management will speak to Kimberly about treating ALL of her costumers with respect. I hope that if she is management, she will consider taking some time away to reflect on her behavior and make positive changes moving forward.

Sam Pence: This team is the best! I've been to almost every running shop in D.C. and the guys here are more knowledgable and passionate about the sport than any other place I've visited. If you've been looking for the perfect shoe, they won't rest until you've found it.

Anne-Marie Mills: Good selection of running shoes, but the sales staff is terrible. I came in to get a fitting for new sneakers, and the sales staff was very uninterested in helping me and were extremely condescending. I ended up leaving and going to Pacer's on 14th where the service is much better.

Veronica Wade: CHAD is a top notch type of guy. I bought a t-shirt from the Alexandria location for my track runner son. After taking it 200+ miles to NYC, I found that my son could use a larger size. BINGO- CHAD told me he had a LARGE in black that I can exchange via mail. I rushed mine right to the post office in haste to receive his in just as a timely manner. We love the black t-shirt even more than the gray!!!! Scott “DC Cheetah” Suchyta: Very much like and appreciate Pacers. I run but wouldn't call myself a runner per se (I'm more of a gym rat). Regardless, service is excellent and they carry high quality products. Shoe fitting is excellent. I love the Pacer/Baliwick branded apparel. And it's always worth picking up another pair or two or three of Goodrs (sunglasses).

Kimberly Reed: Walked in 10 min before closing with my son and the guy looks at his watch, doesn’t greet us at all as we are walking up to the counter, asked if he carries a size 7 in men in running shoes and he says no starts at a 9 and not helpful at all and didn’t feel welcomed or comfortable purchasing there after that encounter. What professional running store does not carry ALL men sizes since they come in all shapes and sizes.

Amanda Cropper: Pacers is fantastic! The staff is knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. Also, the return policy is generous. I strongly recommend Johnnie at the Navy Yard location. He spent a couple of hours with me trying to figure out what made sense for me as I try to return to running after a long hiatus. I'm very happy with the results so far.

Aida Gebretekle: Very helpful/understanding experience. I bought a pair of running shoes that initially felt comfortable but did not work well with my feet after a week of use. I called them and explained the situation and they exchanged for another pair that's much better. The staffs help was much appreciated!

dizzellen: I greatly appreciated them being open and having good covid-19 safety precautions. Went in for a shoe fitting as a newbie runner and Emma was super friendly, very helpful and patient with me answering all my questions and waiting as I tried on the shoes selected over and over again. I was a little nervous about going in since I don't have much running experience but both her and the other employee there were really nice.

Kathryn Hale: I came into Pacers a couple of weeks ago to get fitted for shoes after I started to give running a more serious try for a few months. I thought a new pair of shoes might be the best motivation to get me started. The young woman helping me, super friendly brunette from NY I think (I wish I remembered her name) was friendly, knowledgeable, and sent me home in a pair of brooks that I absolutely love! Thanks for being so kind to a newbie like me!

Nicolette Davis: Super helpful staff! Measured my feet and recorded my stride on a treadmill to help me find the best fit. Then they endured me trying on about a dozen pairs of shoes until I got the right ones. I’ll definitely return when I wear these shoes out!

Then they try to jack the price of every thing in the store up at least 75% more then it really cost, this sick racist bitch don't care about nothing but money! I will tell you how petty thus trifling mut is I put a sweat suit on layaway and she sold it, how is that possible? They only care about how much money they can make in a day TRIFLING ASS BUSINESS! These people mark the price of there merchandise up 100% I bought a sergio tacchini outfit saw the same outfit onine from sergio tacchini for a hundred dollars less then I paid for in the store this sick thief will get you she don't care about the customer she is all about money and don't care who she cheats!

Kenneth Baten: Usually get a nice deal, this time woman tried to rip me off.then I noticed she switched receipts with no pricing of items I purchased. When I calculated on way home she still got me eventhough I put sweats back after price she try stick to me

Brandon Rokhsar: If you want Georgetown, come to this store. I love this place almost as if it were a second home. Lida, the owner of the store is the sweetest lady on this Earth. If you're in Georgetown, stop by and check out the store that has been at the center of DC culture for over 35 years.

Pepe Catala: It's a local store but they often have things that catch my eye. When I tried something they were helpful and honest (as in, we don't have the best size for you). Ambiance is very 80s but that's ok, much better than buying from Zappos.

Blake Wilson: Pros and Cons aside, I really like the options of a place that isn't a chain that understands local taste. You could say that it is just good business to know your market and I don't disagree with that assessment. One of the pros for me is the classic feel of the place. Classic brands, and bygone Georgetown vibes abound. Shoot, they might even carry Van Grack. Con, I do not like haggling in the United States of America. I have done it and will do it again but in a brick and mortar, it is just not for me. You got options. All in all, I ain't mad.

Pilar Bohorquez: Will not go back to this store. I was there with my husband. One of the salesmen refused to answer my questions because I am a woman. I can honestly say I was to rude at all. I could not believe this was actually happening in 21C Georgetown. I complained to the manager. He did not say anything to the salesmen but at least he did address me, looked me in the eyes and tried to compensate for the salesman's clear chauvinistic attitude and rudeness.

Diego Canales: Called to ask if they had a tennis size on a model i had seen at the store, and the person on the phone said: "i am too busy and cant find the model, if you want you can come to the store and point it out to me". Too bad he couldnt realize i was calling precisely because i didnt want to go to the store just to find he didnt had my size

Yoni Bock: This is my new favorite sports store. The customer service was incredible - I can't recall the last time someone sat and explained the merits of different shoes candidly and with no ulterior "sell" motive. Informed and intelligent sales reps. No hard sell whatsoever. The store is small but it will the first place I go for future athletic supply needs.

Aron Sacchetti: Stopped in because I was in the area and was immediately pleased when they offered (insisted) on fitting me for the right shoes and insoles (without having an appointment). I’ve been to a number of running stores and they have never started out by insisting on fitting me for the right shoe. To top it off, the salesperson who helped me, was willing to take my feedback and guide me in a direction I felt comfortable. She kept me in the same brand I was familiar and happy with but helped me find a different model to try. Between that and the custom insoles, I was VERY pleased. As much as I prefer to “shop local”, I was VERY happy with my experience at this “chain” store and will definitely return! UPDATE: (Dec 27, 2021) stopped in again to order a new pair of my sneakers and to have a friend fitted for proper sneakers. Morgan took care of us and did a fantastic job! She was extremely patient and friendly. She took her time measuring our friend and brought out numerous shoes for her to try on. They have the tools, techniques, and knowledge to help you with any sort of running gear! And they don't just push the expensive and/or popular items. Megan Angevine: Absolutely love this chain. Was excited when they opened up a location near me a year or two ago. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and have a passion for the sport. Gait tracking is an easy process (wall/run on a treadmill to see how you walk) to recommend the right shoe. Scott was phenomenal to work with! He also pointed out how I tend to lift my toe up and how I can reinforce the top of the shoe. Brought my daughter in for her first pair of running shoes. Her comments are, "it was awesome and I got the best shoes ever."

Azrael “Primnigh” Faith: Loved the manager Mickey. He helped me to find exactly what I needed. He was very knowledgeable about exactly what would help me pick out the right kind of shoes for me. I was unable to order a certain shoe through the store which was unfortunate (I need the same model in store that he had but in black). It would have been great to order it internally to give the store credit since it is literally the only reason I'm going to buy it!

I have a Taylor Bunion that is extremely painful to walk and he found me a pair of shoes that I'm able to walk in pain free. THANK YOU for your patience and treating me like a VIP. Potomac River Running is the ONLY place I ever buy my shoes. They really care.

DL Ross: I went to the Potomac River Running Store in Springfield yesterday because I badly needed running shoes. After a long time where I've been inactive, I'm very overweight and my old running shoes were causing me a lot of pain in my ankles, shins, and knees. I also felt like old stress fractures were being aggravated. Running at the gym was extremely uncomfortable, and I'd be stopping every few minutes to stretch my feet or massage my knees. I made an appointment online for an analysis, and when I arrived, Bridget met me and had a printout of everything I typed about my issues. She listened to me explain all my issues, and then she went into the back and selected different shoe options. She made sure that they were the correct size and width, and had explanations for everything. She also watched me walk and did an analysis on the treadmill with the shoes on as well. She also made a suggestion for compression socks and had a pretty good case on why they would work for me. Altogether, I got new running shoes, a pair of recovery sandals and two pairs of compression socks. Today, I did my first running workout and was so comfortable when I was running. None of the pain I constantly felt from running was there. I have always been fearful getting on the treadmill, and I was thinking these shoes would not work, but they did the job and I was able to slightly increase my speed as well. After I returned home, I put on the recovery sandals, and my feel felt like I was walking on air! When I started my work day, I put on the compression socks as well. I was skeptical about the socks, but they also totally took away the pain I usually feel throughout the day after I do my runs. Altogether, everything worked out really well for me. I am so happy with my purchase. It isn't just a purchase, it's an investment in my wellness and health. I want to thank Bridget for being so concerned and kind and talking me through every purchase and sharing her knowledge as to why each of these purchases would work to alleviate the daily pain I've been feeling for the last six months. I've never spent this much money on running attire, but I knew it was something I needed to do, and I wanted to make sure I got the best attire for me to ensure I could keep running and meet my fitness goals. I will definitely be back and I will refer others to them. Thank you, Bridget... and the rest of the staff as well!

Hedy Gold: Zero Stars! I've never had such an awful experience at a retail store in my life. I was looking for a really nice hands on experience to fit my daughter for running sneakers. Instead I got a very very RUDE saleswoman who should be fired after this. We were told it was a 30 minute wait to get fitted for shoes. There were very few people in the store but apparently they're short staffed. With that understanding we patiently walked around and waited for our turn. The sales woman then rudely asked my 12 year old daughter to move from the bench she was sitting for absolutely no reason. In fact she asked her to move twice and then while I was waiting in line to buy some workout clothes she asked me to move away from the register and asked me to go back and sit on the bench! I considered leaving but really loved a pair of shorts. I then went to purchase them and asked the return policy. I was told if I join a membership then I'm able to return my purchase for 90 days. I was told I have to pay $19.99 or 1.99 if I want to be able to return merchandise. If you don't join the membership I was told returns are not accepted. At that point after the rude service and the no return policy I started to leave. Then I approached a salesman to ask the rude woman's name. He told me were short staffed which is why she was rude. He made an excuse. I will not return!

debbie harp: Most of the associates are knowledgeable and friendly. I went to Road Runner because I needed advice. The first time I went Rachel was amazing. Unfortunately, that was not my experience yesterday. I was returning a pair a shoes and needed to buy a different pair. The person I talked to (never told me her name) did not seem interested in helping find the right shoe. When she did bring me shoes she just dropped them down and walked away. On a better note, Sky was at the register when I was doing my exchange. She was very pleasant and engaged in a conversation with me. Definitely understands the importance of customer service.

Brian Stupi: Hallie was awesome! I brought my son in fir the two of us to get shoes. She treated him with respect and honestly took his answers seriously. She made sure I was ok with all decisions without him feeling his say did not matter. We both had the Fit testing which was eye opening. She helped us find good insoles and appropriate shoes. She made sure the insoles and shoes addressed our issues and concerns. She did such a fantastic job! I recommend asking fir her when you go to Road Runner. Michael Brown: As a company, REI should not inflict their political beliefs onto customers. That said, they carry good gear and this particular location is fantastic. Every time I have come here they have exactly what I need. The staff are friendly and helpful and generally knowledgeable. I don’t know who makes REI branded clothes and gear, but they do a good job.

Mike R: I like this store for so many reasons. First: they have excellent customer service. Today I walked in with my bike to get my flat tire fixed. A woman approached me and signed me in. Then a man walked up to me and asked if I would like to him to park my bike. I was appalled by this gesture. Second: This establishment has everything here. I mean like… leave that bike area if you want to. You will be buying anything from energy gel to underwear. Third: conveniently located right beside the metro.

Andrea Wu: I came here to pick up my shoes that I ordered online, and after trying them out in nature, they were too big so I came back to return and get new ones. The staff helping me was very helpful, bringing me different shoes for me to try on. I finally got a pair that fit properly, and checkout was pretty speedy too. Parking on the street might be a bit tough, but it's not too bad!

H Gill: Great store! love REI… but checking out here is always a 15 min wait. The checkout line moves at a snail’s pace, and the managers/supervisors don’t seem to care. I’ve seen customers put items down and leave out of frustration.

Rebecca Tolbert: Generally a good store, but the parking situation is currently very weird. You park in the parking deck and then have to walk all the way around a whole city block because they have blocked off the elevator and stairs. So, you drive into the parking deck and then have this surprise journey ahead of you, through a sketchy alley and everything. Just wanted to give other customers a heads up!

Ben Layton: Bike shop effectively closes at 6:30, not 7:00, since you have to get on a wait-list to get the bike checked in and the wait-list closes at 6:30. Called in advance and told them when I'd get there and they didn't mention that, so came all the way here for nothing. Turnaround on basic repairs also 9-10 days rn, which is honestly nuts.

R: Oddly enough they aren’t dog friendly yet I saw a pitbull walking around without a service vest. The area around is horrendous, good luck finding a parking spot. Really disappointed that REIs aren’t dog friendly yet their competitors REI and Bass Pro is.

Aaron Contic: Came into this location to purchase a set of irons, found a set of Taylormade M2 irons that I initially thought were correctly priced at $499. I asked the team member working in the golf department that I was interested and ask where the rest of the set was. He replied that the rest of the set was missing. I asked what was the current price with 3 clubs of the 7 iron set missing? His response was “that’s the price, my manger won’t change it for some reason, but you can ask him” So I asked to speak to the manger which He initially said was available. I was then told that the manager currently on duty was conveniently on a conference call and was now unavailable and the answer was “NO” on a new price for the remaining clubs. To start the team member was friendly and helpful. That being said. I’m also a manager in retail and if a customer asked to talk to a manager about a reasonable question. Im not going to have my employee have to tell the customer “NO” That’s terrible customer service and it’s also a bad business practice to try to sell customers a product that’s missing pieces for the same price as if it’s not!

Joshua Russell: My son and I wanted to check out this store based on reviews and being a marquee store. It is definitely impressive design and a good vibe going on. The store has 3 floors and is well spaced out so it is not just stuffed full of merchandise. Everyone was very helpful and many staff members were around to help as needed. The one issue I had with the store was that it seemed to lack a good selection of shoes. I would have expected more or even special selections. They had a pretty good selection of clothes including SB brand. Would return to see if the selection is better.

S A: They make people wait out in the cold, winds blowing snow at freezing temps, like we're homeless and not going in there as customers spending hundreds of dollars! And it's not because of COVID restrictions, those are over there are no limits on number of people in stores, these are simply to keep their store neat and because they have no customer service experience whatsoever!! Each time I've tried to go the lines are so long, then you go in and the store is literally empty! They think they are so good and don't want to crowd the store with people, clearly they look down on customers and see us as intrusive or ruin image of the store?!! They literally have guards not letting you in and treating it like we're begging for something! It's awful, unprofessional, and frankly I'm shocked that they are still allowed to do this!! I've had to place large amounts of orders online then return and pick the ones I wanted, because I haven't been able to get into the store since they make us wait outside in freezing, windy cold temperatures! I'm reporting them to corporate office and further soon. These photos are from a cold day but it wasn't even as long of a line as usual days, and inside the store was empty!!! Pretty much any day you try to go in they make people wait outside and it looks like a soup kitchen or homeless shelter line, rather than a Nike store where people (CUSTOMERS) are going in and spending money! The staff at the door, or security, is also extremely rude when we were begging them to let us in since it was sooo cold and our bodies were freezing from the high winds! They act like they are herding sheep or guarding a prison!

Shamsher: I love this Nike outlet and more than the beautiful set up and decor of this place it has to do with the staff. All the staff of Nike Georgetown is just very courteous, amazing and helpful. Two of the associates in men’s section made my experience quick and amazing. I was able to make my purchase and checkout in no time and I was able to get a replacement in a bigger size the very next day in no time. 5 stars.

CHRISTOPHER CHEN: Nike Georgetown is the best looking Nike store I have entered in 2021. I have been in the San Jose, Nashville, Maryland, and two NY stores. The Nike Georgetown store did not disappoint me. They have a great selection of clothing and shoes. If I had more time. I would of purchased more gear.

Jereth Tolentino: Very nice Nike store. Friendly customer service. It’s nice and clean. Good selection of shoes and clothings. Even saw a Jordan’s 13 for sale today. Only downside is parking.

Got an email that the shoes were ready to be picked up but they were not ready. Took about 10 minutes to get the shoes. Made sure to check before leaving the store and Glad I checked the shoes before leaving the store. One pair was dirty as if worn previously. Asked for a new pair and took another associate 10 minutes to grab a new pair. Overall customer service was average. Store wasn’t busy but seemed like people just didn’t want to work.

spencer brewer: I just had to return a couple pairs of ABC pants and it was a disaster. The computer wouldn't work and it took the associate at least 15 minutes to get it figured out. That is not what I'm reviewing. The associate named Kassidy? was extremely helpful and took the time to make sure that everything got straightened out. I would definitely recommend Lululemon because of their quality and I can't say enough about the customer service that accompanies the product. Also, great leadership by the host at the front of the store. The employees worked together extremely well to get the job done and also assisted other customers. Glowing review for the store and I would be extremely proud if I was the General Manager or the Regional Manager.

The ladies who helped me at this location were so friendly and knew the products inside and out. They took the time to show me all the cool tricks with the vinyasa scarf and the gloves I was looking at. Definitely going to return here.

Megan McCarty Graham: Smallest of the DC locations but has all the best loved gear. The staff are helpful and friendly, and knowledgeable about their product. There seems to be a higher percentage of men working at this store, so any time a gift for a man friend is needed, this is the lululemon location I choose!

Matt Krug: Lexi was super friendly and knowledgeable. She helped me get a pair of lightweight shorts and ABC pants for the summer. Great customer service and store.

Laura: Such a sketchy company. The guy lied to me about their memberships and later when I canceled, they didn’t actually cancel it. Luckily I figured they lied and canceled the credit card connected to it. Sure enough months later they send me a email saying that the credit card on file isn’t working anymore. The only reason I’m giving it a extra star is because the staff seemed helpful enough with the shoes.

David Cox: I have been a customer of Comfort One Shoes for many years. I love that store; all the employees provide an excellent customer service. Last week I shopped again at Comfort One Shoes at the Dupont Circle and Brad was excellent; he helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Since the shoes I was looking for were not in stock at that location, he called the Georgetown to see if these shoes are in stock there. They were. Todd helped me at the Georgetown store and he was also very professional and knowledgeable. Many thanks to The Comfort One Shoes company for the great selection of comfortable and international shoes and for the great customer service.

Anne A.D.: I wasn't able to buy the shoe I wanted (the size did not exist), but the guy running the store was extremely helpful. He was also very knowledgeable about the products they sold and will give good recommendations if asked. I may not have found my shoe this time around, but I will definitely be back. Also, the shoes they sell all look and feel comfortable. They really emphasize comfort over fashion/style. But, there are gems there that have both style and comfort.

Massimiliano Santini: Horrible customer service. I've never had experiences as bad as this one in a store -- if you expect basic kindness during a commercial transaction, do not shop in this store! Basically, I entered the store to inquire about Birkenstock shoe repairs (as this store was listed in the Birkenstock website). When I asked about which kind of reparation would they do, and how much would the repair cost, the store employee who was standing behind the cash registered displayed an obnoxious attitude at my questions. And when I asked why was she treating me that way, she quickly became enraged, pounded over the table, and raised her voice. I simply left.

Evan Lee: Never written a Google review but this is experience has been awful. We live out of state and after three days of touristy stuff my worn shoes were done. Went to try on a specific brand at this store - the store was a wreck with boxes everywhere. After flagging down Anthony, he was super helpful. The size I needed was on display and its pair was missing. They offered free shipping which was awesome until it wasn't. After two weeks they forgot to ship the shoe. The shoe that arrived was a ladies 5 in another brand. Called the store asking for manager to call when he came back but he didn't. Finally called again to the manager who had a dismissive tone. Waiting for them to send a call tag next week and then we'll see if they remember to ship the shoe the third time around. Avoid this store.
Response: Mr. Lee this is awful. I am very sorry. It looks like we really messed this up. I am going to make sure that we get this fixed. By Monday you will have a tracking number for the correct shoe, a call tag for the wrong shoe and a refund for the trouble. I apologize again for the trouble.

Brionne Griffin: I’m not exaggerating when I say this was the best shoe buying experience I’ve had in my adult years. I went in for a pair of dressy sandals that would also give my feet the support they need. A pleasant lady named Michelle helped me, and she began by finding my exact size with this high-tech mat. She then brought out two different pairs of shoes I wanted to try on, and told me about the fit of each. I loved them both, and she helped me decide which one to ultimately purchase. She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor–such a class act. I’ll definitely be back for that second pair.

Charlotte Slaiman: Staff here are very knowledgeable and so friendly. They will spend a lot of time with you if the shop is not too busy. Honestly this is pretty much the only place I buy shoes anymore. I have foot problems and my podiatrist has given me pretty specific instructions. Comfort One has the brands my podiatrist recommended. They also have a foot map machine that supposedly helps them identify your foot problems. I haven't needed it since I have a podiatrist but it might be useful for you! They do sometimes recommend things that have not worked out for me, although maybe that's inevitable. For example they assured me based on the brands my podiatrist recommended that some other shoe would also work great for me, and it did not. They will show you a lot of shoes and tell you they all look great on you, but if you say no they will not pressure you to purchase. They also have a good selection of shoe accessories like inserts and heel pads. They can stretch or pre-break in shoes for you when you buy them which I have taken advantage of.

Guy Dupont: I went to this Comfort One store to find a sneaker/casual shoe that fits with my orthotics. The sales person Brad said he had some ideas and brought out 4 shoes to try on. I didn’t care for the any of the shoes that he brought out but wanted to try them on to see what brand fit best, etc. After trying the 4 shoes on Brad asked me which I wanted to buy. I felt that he was pressuring me for a sale. I also had sticker shock at this store. I am used to paying $50-60 for sneakers and the prices here were over $150. I don’t mind paying $15-20 more for personalized service but a $100 difference seemed excessive. I had a much better experience with Chrissy a few doors down at 1636 Connecticut Ave.

Laurie Landy: I have been shopping at Comfort One for roughly twenty-five years. I have problems with my feet and this is the only store I have bought shoes at in many years. They never try to "sell" me shoes, but rather to find a shoe that will work with my problems. The staff is well trained and professional.

Audrey Weiner: My girlfriend & I went in to look at ladies shoes our salesperson was Aioki. He was extremely helpful my friend bought a pair of shoes. I did not find anything but not for his lack of trying....It was our first time in DC and when we got there it was pretty late at night he has a great warm, kind personality & took plenty of time with us. He was a terrific salesperson for such a young soul...He told us a place to go for dinner. We were both impressed with him my friend lives in New York & I in Chicago. Make sure to keep him he represents your store in a fabulous light...
