Connor Swearingen: Honestly, I’m struggling to formulate a way to express my satisfaction with Brimble & Clark. From the onset, when looking for a custom built suit I stumbled upon this company. Their website gives you a good idea of the products they provide but even more so is the experience you get when you purchase a suit here. Sim was very understanding and accompanying when I had to reschedule my initial visit multiple times. When you walk in you immediately know that this is going to be an experience like no other. Lisa spent time explaining what set these suits apart from the rest. Her insight and knowledge of style makes even the most indecisive person feel comfortable picking out each component of your suit. I will say, this suit and the experience that comes with it is well worth the price. Even if you’re not going to buy a suit, their ballistic shirts alone are worth scheduling an appointment! Rahul Kohli: Prior to working with Sim and Lisa at Brimble and Clark, the only suits I ever owned were $150 off-the-shelf suits from Express and other generic department stores. Needless to say, I was completely unfamiliar with what makes a high quality suit and had no idea just how bad my cheap suits actually were. When I first met with Sim to consult on a tailored suit, I was blown away by his knowledge of suit design and fit - there are so many elements to a good suit that I had no idea about. Despite my lack of knowledge, Sim was super helpful in presenting various options for suit designs and was able to craft a suit that perfectly fit my needs. When I finally tried it on, I could immediately tell just how different and special it was compared to my cheap department store suits. Even at the first fitting the suit looked and felt fantastic - miles ahead of anything I have worn before. The amount of individualized attention I received during the process was unreal, especially considering the reasonable price. I gave him a vague sense of what I was looking for before I went in for measurements, and he had pulled exactly what I had envisioned and we went through every aspect of fit (I do not have the average male body and wanted a very specific cut and fit) and the most minor of details, ensuring the final product represented the style I had envisioned. Then, just a couple of weeks later, my tuxedo arrived (shipped outside of D.C. where I was on vacation), and he offered to do a virtual meeting for any alterations needed. It fit absolutely perfectly, was incredibly polished, and represented my vision completely. Now, I still have plenty of time before the wedding, and I do not need to make a single adjustment. I highly recommend Roger and Hall Madden for any custom suiting needs and will certainly be a repeat customer from here on out.

Katheryne Kramer: I was able to get two slightly complicated dresses(a knit one and a color-blocked sheath) taken in. In both cases, the alterations subtly improved the cut of each to be more flattering and functional for me. The impeccable results are well worth the cost to keep these garments in my wardrobe.
Paul Davies: Field Tailors is a bespoke custom tailors. Everything is done in store and probably the best bespoke Tailors in the DC area. From alterations to full bespoke Mr Field does it all. Also once a month The London Shoemaker a bespoke shoemaker visits on the last Saturday of the month.
Andrew M: Get estimates upfront if cost is an issue; this is a premium tailor and it can be hard to predict how much a complicate job, such as a gown, will cost. The work was excellent, a slice of Saville Row in DC.

corysc: Mr. Kim is a real tailor. That means he has expertise and skill, and can, will, and should charge accordingly for that. My new suit, purchased elsewhere and tailored by Mr Kim, fits perfectly. If you want to pay department store pricing for department store tailoring, Mr. Kim is probably not the one for you. But if you want a suit or jacket to fit perfectly and the work to be done on a reasonable (or in one case for me, faster) timeline, with the work done as-described for the quoted price, then I absolutely recommend him. And remember, if you have a nice suit or jacket, you’ll be wearing it for years. Wouldn’t it be nice and worth the expense to have it fit right? I’ll add that he is perhaps not effusive but was certainly courteous and professional.
Membership 100 Black Men DC: Mr. Kim is the best tailor in Washington, DC. Excellent service and great care. Always a kind word and his work is impeccable. I have never seen him rude or abrupt. Those who have had that experience had to have come in with their own attitude and attempted to take it out on him. Mr. Kim is the kindest person on the planet. Has been my tailor for many years and he is the best; and I have been to many.

Ann Marie Sweeney: I cannot recommend Annette at The Knot enough! We worked with her for my husbands tux for our wedding. He had an idea of what he wanted and she turned that vision into reality. She helped him pick out everything and made sure it fit him perfectly. She had a great idea of adding his late father’s signature to the inside of the coat which made it even more special. Annette communicated really well and is super easy to get along with. Planning a wedding is stressful but Annette made this part fun and easy.
Tim Hogaboom: Working with Annette and her team was very enjoyable . I purchased a suit for my wedding and everything from picking the fabric to getting measurements with Annette was easy and turned out better than I had imagined. Knot Standard came to every meeting prepared with a seemingly endless supply of options to help find the perfect materials and style. They also recommended a few possibilities that were tailored to my comments of what I had been looking for. The personalization on the suit with our wedding day sewn in made for a very special touch. I will purchase from Knot Standard and work with them again.

Chris Hobbs: Highly recommended. I had a sports jacket made and it was 100% customized to my liking. Having not done this before, I was a bit anxious how this would work out, but I needn’t have worried. From initial consultation, through design, ordering, fitting and adjustments, Robert was great to work with and very helpful. I especially appreciated him working with the manufacturer with a post release design alteration, where others might not have. Overall, I had a very good experience.

Parker Kobayashi: Ezra did a great job with my suit jacket. He is extremely knowledgeable about the style and material, making the whole process extremely simple, interesting, and fun. The button-down shirts that he sells in his store are also extremely comfortable and well designed. I would definitely recommend his store for anyone interested in high-quality clothing.
Michael Stein: I wanted to have a beautiful suit for my upcoming wedding and went to one of the many "made to order" companies that have sprung up recently. They did a horrible job and the suit they produced was unacceptable. With little time to spare I found Ezra Paul. Thank goodness. Ezra has an amazing eye for fit and spent a great deal of time working with me to ensure that the suit fit my decidedly not off the rack build. The result was a gorgeous suit that required almost no alterations when it came back from the tailor in Italy. It is well constructed (full canvass) and perfectly tailored. I was nervous about getting the suit in time for my wedding but Ezra was very calm and confident and he delivered. I highly recommend Ezra Paul if you want a great suit.
Jay Calhoun: I bought a custom suit from Ezra for my wedding. My experience was phenomenal. Ezra did not apply sales pressure when I first walked through the door. His relaxed demeanor allowed me to comfortably discuss my design goals after which he explained how he could deliver the right suit for me. The materials and craftsmanship - all sourced from Italy - are top notch and do justice to Ezra’s classic design aesthetic. My suit was delivered on time and needed very few adjustments. Before ordering I was able to make a few customizations such as adding a ticket pocket and choosing the color of the lining and inside pockets. I purchased a white shirt and green knit tie designed by Ezra that completed my look. If you want a quality custom suit that’s worth every penny with personal attention from the proprietor of the business itself, you cannot go wrong with Ezra.
Paul Zaic: I don’t post reviews publicly as a rule, but I’ll break the rule for this. Ezra just made two beautiful suits for my wedding (one for my brother / best man and one for me). He worked with me over a long period of time and worked through some difficulties I’ve always had finding a proper fit. I’m admittedly very difficult to fit because I have very square shoulders and a barrel chest, but Ezra was patient and got it just right. I’d had some pretty disappointing experiences trying out other local suit makers leading up to finding Ezra, and he was the only one with the patience and experience to stick with it and nail it. He’s also a nice guy. Great combination of professionalism and friendliness—I never felt like I was dealing with a clothes snob, just a guy who really loves clothes and loves talking to people.
