Jackie Allen: The gentleman at the counter was very polite and offered alternative choices within our budget without majorly reaching for an upsale. And it turns out we found a upscale tux for far less than expected. It takes patience and awareness to grasp such a pivotal moment in bargain hunting. Quite the joyous experience I must say. Kudos to the staff that hired this young man.

Matthew Lawlis: I was helped very quickly and was able to get a whole 2 piece suit fited and made for me before i left the store. Only complaint was that the sales man, keith, did add around 200 dollars worth of product to my bag that i did not ask for. I wasnt too mad since the man was old and was getting confused while helping me. I just returned the extra products.

Robert Butler: Not sure where to start but my experience with this store was really bad. The person on the floor last Saturday had me and my wedding party waiting to be helped. He insisted that he would have his assistant Lin help up once she comes from down stairs. When Lin got back inside the store she started helping someone else due to her not being informed of us needing help. The guy who said Lin would help us disappeared and did not return while me and my wedding party waited for little of 2 hours. all in all not sure why I received the service that I received but I just hope this comment makes the customer service for minorities a bit better. Also we did not purchase anything because mostly everything was out of stock so that mixed with a long wait and bad customer service was very troubling.

Yezihalem Mesfen: I went to this store 1024 Connecticut Ave Nw Washington, DC 20036 on 11/15/2021 and I was treated very badly. The worker named Clarence Alston was very disrespectful and didn't even want to help me. I am very disappointed on the treatment I recived. You can't look at people and assume they don't have money or they can't afford a certain item. I'll never shop their again. This is discrimination. Do Better!!!

Spencer Hettrich: Was helped immensely by Clarence who works here. Needed a last minute replacement for a dress shirt and he helped me figure out my size and found a shirt that fit and worked perfectly with my outfit. Great selection too!

Shawn S.: I've had custom suits made by several places in DC and my experience with Ezra was without a doubt the best. He's knowledgeable about the field and his house style is timeless. I've had him make two suits so far (a navy tropical wool and the 3-piece plaid flannel below) and will absolutely be using him again in the future.

Parker Kobayashi: Ezra did a great job with my suit jacket. He is extremely knowledgeable about the style and material, making the whole process extremely simple, interesting, and fun. The button-down shirts that he sells in his store are also extremely comfortable and well designed. I would definitely recommend his store for anyone interested in high-quality clothing.

Michael Stein: I wanted to have a beautiful suit for my upcoming wedding and went to one of the many "made to order" companies that have sprung up recently. They did a horrible job and the suit they produced was unacceptable. With little time to spare I found Ezra Paul. Thank goodness. Ezra has an amazing eye for fit and spent a great deal of time working with me to ensure that the suit fit my decidedly not off the rack build. The result was a gorgeous suit that required almost no alterations when it came back from the tailor in Italy. It is well constructed (full canvass) and perfectly tailored. I was nervous about getting the suit in time for my wedding but Ezra was very calm and confident and he delivered. I highly recommend Ezra Paul if you want a great suit.

Jay Calhoun: I bought a custom suit from Ezra for my wedding. My experience was phenomenal. Ezra did not apply sales pressure when I first walked through the door. His relaxed demeanor allowed me to comfortably discuss my design goals after which he explained how he could deliver the right suit for me. The materials and craftsmanship - all sourced from Italy - are top notch and do justice to Ezra’s classic design aesthetic. My suit was delivered on time and needed very few adjustments. Before ordering I was able to make a few customizations such as adding a ticket pocket and choosing the color of the lining and inside pockets. I purchased a white shirt and green knit tie designed by Ezra that completed my look. If you want a quality custom suit that’s worth every penny with personal attention from the proprietor of the business itself, you cannot go wrong with Ezra.

Paul Zaic: I don’t post reviews publicly as a rule, but I’ll break the rule for this. Ezra just made two beautiful suits for my wedding (one for my brother / best man and one for me). He worked with me over a long period of time and worked through some difficulties I’ve always had finding a proper fit. I’m admittedly very difficult to fit because I have very square shoulders and a barrel chest, but Ezra was patient and got it just right. I’d had some pretty disappointing experiences trying out other local suit makers leading up to finding Ezra, and he was the only one with the patience and experience to stick with it and nail it. He’s also a nice guy. Great combination of professionalism and friendliness—I never felt like I was dealing with a clothes snob, just a guy who really loves clothes and loves talking to people.

Cody Smedsrud: Ezra made a custom suit for my wedding a couple of years ago and I could not be happier with it. Initially, I was shopping for an off-the-rack suit but was put off by how poorly they fit and the boring styling. When I discussed my needs with Ezra, it was immediately clear that he is very well versed in men's fashion and enjoys helping his customers. I knew the color and approximate weight I was looking for in a suit but was largely ignorant of all the other choices to be made. Ezra patiently walked me through all of the fabric and tailoring choices and answered all of my questions. The finished suit exceeded my expectations and is one of my favorite articles of clothing. I highly recommend Ezra Paul Clothing and will be stopping by the new location next time I am in D.C.. Ezra is very knowledgeable, genuinely enjoyable to talk to, and goes out of his way to make working with him a great customer experience.

Daniel Lizio-Katzen: I have purchased custom shirts from Ezra a couple of times. The first time at his previous location. They have quickly became my favorites. Since the shirts were so nice (and reasonably priced for custom) I decided to step up and treat myself to a custom suit in dark navy. Ezra did not disappoint! The fit was slim without making me look like I was trying to be a Prada model; and it was perfectly cut the first time, the only thing I needed to do was get the pants hemmed. I'd definitely recommend stopping in the next time you're in need of a beautifully tailored piece of clothing.

Shafin Nasr: Ezra is knowledgeable, personable, and passionate about men's clothing. His style is updated but classic. Ezra worked with me patiently over several weeks to put together a bespoke suit, beginning with fabric selection, details, and multiple fittings. The suit came out looking beautiful; I received lot of compliments for it. Highly recommend Ezra Paul!

Joseph Pennington: I ordered 10 custom-made shirts from this company at a cost of more than $2,000. Nearly 12 weeks later, no shirts have been produced. Zero. Zip. Nada. Just a quick update -- we are now at the 15-week mark, and still no sign of any shirts. Something seriously fishy about this company. My advice is to avoid at all costs.

Unfortunately, after a package leaves the USA en route to an APO/DPO box overseas, USPS tracking information stops updating and USPS was not able to help figure out why your package took so long to arrive. Stephanie Barstow: Really disappointed. Went in April for a custom fitted suit for my fiancé. He was measured and we picked fabrics, initially a great experience. Told the suit would arrive end of may. Our wedding is early July. End of May passed. Early June rolls past. Reaching out they just say it’s delayed. Told me it wouldn’t be a bad idea to look at Macys for a backup suit. They never reached out to us, we had to call. Finally told it made it to the e Waterhouse, but his custom shirt wasn’t. I asked them to just send the suit so her at least had that. They overnighted it and sent a plain shirt, which we were very grateful for. But the suit was about four sizes too big. He was swimming it in. We had to pay over $200 for rush alterations. Just totally unacceptable for the price point and the “custom” made tag. We were so excited, but now just disappointed. I don’t know if he’ll get the custom shirt in time or ever, but we just hope that the alterations can repair it

Without question, we will be refunding you in full for any additional alteration cost that you have paid for to get the suit dialed in. Once again, we apologize we missed the mark. In the meantime, we are pushing our manufacturer as much as possible to get the dress shirt in and we are also tailoring a dress shirt locally that we will ship out to you for the wedding. As much as we hate to see such a negative review, we great appreciate your willingness to provide us feedback. We promise that we will use these experiences to learn and grow as a company so we can limit these type of customer experiences in the future. Darren Weagly: This store is 100% perfect for guys who workout and take care of their bodies. My only regret is I wish I had discovered it sooner. I had just bought two good suits from a chain competitor, but after stopping in and trying on an S&L suit I promptly bought it on the spot even though I didn’t need it. I also got an awesome light blue and white flannel shirt that fit perfectly and feels awesome. If you are athletic or workout do yourself a favor and stop in here. Their staff is helpful as well, especially Aisha & Kyle!

Jacob Quick: I can't say enough good things about this place. Their suits are the only one's I've ever worn and have been comfortable in. It's amazing to be able to look great as well as move normally. The staff there was extremely helpful. Every encounter I had was pleasant. They were all polite and so willing to help. Aishah provided the best experience that I've ever had shopping for a suit. I was looking for something for my upcoming wedding and not only did she provide her professional expertise but also walked me down the street and introduced me to an amazing tailor. I highly recommend State and Liberty. Especially this location. I will continue to drive the 2 hours and fight Georgetown traffic just to get my suits from them.

marcos paredes: The staff here is amazing! I had a problem with my blazer and unfortunately could not exchange it because I got it tailored, which I understood. The manager Aisha was very nice and helped me by providing a discount on a new one. I highly recommend to visit and try on their clothes. It's so comfortable and you will not regret it.

Michael Jordan: Aishah made this experience SO MUCH FUN. I felt taken care of and looked forward to walking in the store and hanging out with her every time I needed to come in for my buds wedding AND my own wedding. Max Bitter: Was in town for a wedding and felt like enhancing my dress shirt game. I'd heard of this brand as a good one for guys like me who struggle with finding shirts built for a constantly changing physique (i.e. bulking and cutting). The stretchy design is high quality and doesn't puff out of the back of the pants, and the prices are reasonable for the quality. Aishah did a great job simplifying the process and making good recommendations. Definitely going to visit their Boston store soon now that I'm back home.

p pjp: I'm a new customer and recently ordered a polo online. I was not sure if the shirt was too small or needed the next side up. Being new to how these shirts should fit, I wanted to try the next size up. I saw online they have a store locally in Washington DC, and I live like 15 minutes away so very convenient. I went in today and was greeted with a friendly hello from two employees working, one of which was Aishah Thomas, the store manager. She gave me really good feedback on the fit and how the material stretches, and her opinion on the size of the shirt I had ordered versus the size I thought I might need. I ended up staying with the size I had ordered, after seeing it in a full length mirror and with her insight to aid me. I also ended up getting a second one, a different color, while I was there. She was great and suggested me trying on the long sleeve dress shirt and it felt amazing. I have been a CT shirts customer for a long time, having a slender athletic build, they have always worked best. After trying one on, you may have made me a convert to coming back and making me a loyal customer for my dress shirts as well. My experience with the online order, was quick and delivered in a nice box and welcome card, was great. Visiting your store, was a great customer friendly experience that didn't feel like other clothing stores. It felt like the quality of your shirts, premium. As I told Aishah, I have a lot of business associates that are picky about the fit and look of the shirts they wear, and I have already started to recommend you. Thanks!

Steven Pearce: State and Liberty needs to get some stock to this store because these folks need it. The entire sales team here is great, and the clothes feel amazing. Despite the limited stock for in small across the board, I was able to get orders places and shipped to my house. The quality of the clothes feel excellent, but I can't speak to durability because I haven't put anything through the wringer yet. 10/10 based on my experience with the sales staff and the feel of the clothes

Michael Roberson: Tristan and his manager (whose name I forgot to ask for) were incredible. I asked them for a complicated shipping order since I would be traveling. They were extremely helpful and clearly took pride in providing an excellent level of customer service. Hurricane Ida complicated the order, but Tristan got back to me promptly and even offered to help me coordinate with UPS to make sure I got what I needed on time. State and Liberty management: Tristan and his manager need raises and promotions. Do everything you can to keep these two. If the whole company operates like this, I'll never buy dress clothes anywhere else.

Phillip Lewis: Was walking by and saw the Georgetown store and walked in for the first time. Jamar and Iesha are polite, friendly and fun to talk to. They were also very professional and helped me a lot with the fits and Jamar helped me with some stile tips, which I need. I will definitely be back! And the clothes... Finally a great athletic fit, bigger in the shoulders and chest, smaller in the waist. And the pants fit great and I can move in these clothes! Big thanks to Jamar and Iesha!

Adam Brizendine: First time going to this store and definitely won't be my last. Clothes are great quality and the service was absolutely amazing. Not sure what the girls name was working the desk but she was an absolute delight and helped guide me through the picking out process with ease. 12/10 would go back again.

Gordon Chaffin: Went in for a suit fitting and got excellent service from Marc. Fast, friendly, no-nonsense.

John Brown: I’m not sure what’s happened but the customer service with Bonobos has good significantly downhill. They’ve shortened their customer service phone hours to just 5 hours per day? And when you call they’re clearly discouraging you to speak to them. I returned an item following their instructions, their website says it takes up to 14 days,,, it’s been over 21 days and still nothing…so I have to wait for the 5 hour window (and likely hours waiting on the phone) to hopefully find out why they’ve not yet refunded me for a package I can see they’ve received. They’re clearly not concerned about keeping customers

Adam Felibrico: I went to Indochino for over a month getting garmet alterations and my suit came out terrible. Kyle Carsten: I custom ordered a suit for my wedding through a different shop back in my hometown in Iowa. Upon receiving the suit, the fit just wasn’t correct. In a panic, I was referred to Everard’s and he took great care of me. Got me in on a Friday and had my suit altered and ready the following Tuesday. Will definitely be purchasing future suits through his shop!

westbj85: I went with some groomsmen to get fitted for a wedding tuxedo. Emma was professional, precise, and a joy to work with. She took great care of us, and gave me solid advice on follow-up tailoring recommendations back home. Could not recommend her more.

Nick gummo: I don’t usually review things but I had a great experience scheduling an appointment with Lamar. He took plenty of time to help me (a person with not much style sense) put together a great wardrobe and troubleshoot a shipping issue. I’ll be a repeat customer for sure.

DeQuan Harrison: Just wanted to comment to say I had an awesome experience at the Cady Alley location. Gale was patient and super helpful being my first time in the store. I haven't bought anything yet, but the experience alone (and of course well made clothes) was one of the best I've had in a clothing store to include suitsupply.

Joe Martin: Excellent customer service! I had a late appointment on a Friday evening and both Joe and his colleague (didn't get her name) did not mind staying until close to make sure I found the best fit for my suit. I would definitely recommenced visiting this location if you are considering ordering items.

Kyle Mansfield: Far and away more than I could have ever expected from my first time at a Bonobos store. I came in not knowing what I was doing, and Ben was absolutely stellar in laying everything out for me and detailing each of the cuts/fits for what I was looking for. The atmosphere was very welcoming yet sartorial, and I felt like I was in very competent hands. All credit goes to Ben, and I'll make sure I come back soon for another round of updates.

Patrice Warwick: After reading reviews of their jeans on line I fully intended to purchase a pair of jeans for my boyfriend while I was visiting Georgetown. The service agent who started to help me was polite but clearly not versed in the product or if what they had on hand. While waiting in the awkward silence another sales person did offer a beverage (hence 1 star), but upon the return of the sales person with the wrong size- he passed me off to work with another customer.

Brett Howard: Disappointed with the lack luster customer service one receives here...the service in the store got so bad (no one to even acknowledge you when you enter the store, let alone help you with anything) that I started to shop online only. Saturday 6/25/22 I purchased a pair of denim online and paid for 2 day air... on Monday 6/27/22 I receive communication from their customer service team that it would ship out that day, then Tuesday morning 6/28/22 I see an email that I had been refunded due to the fact that they no longer have the size I purchased, and they accidentally sold the pair that was supposed to be mine. No other explanation given or accommodation did they make. I would've given one star but I do like the products they make...but wow the store staff and the back end staff are REALLY bad.... beware

John Davis: Big fan of the Sid side and wife loves the Ann side. Very high quality, clothes last for much longer than many other brands, many with stores on M, Wisco. Tailoring work is good and has gotten faster. Think they've brought on some more tailors to help. Have done a few purchase swings through there and always get compliments. Appreciate an independent small chain in the neighborhood. Worth a visit.

The guys and gals that work there are super cool and run their stores as a welcoming environment with zero pressure to ever buy anything…they are truly geeks about clothing, music, and fashion. They always respect everyone’s individual sense of style and only offer thoughts/advice if asked.

Jonathan Morris: “Sid Mashburn” isn’t a name you’ll immediately connect with Georgetown’s most famous places like Ralph Lauren, Clyde’s and the old Britches stores. But that shouldn’t deter you from taking time to investigate. I’m a Washington native and have shopped regularly in Georgetown since 1977. I like conservative design and good service. Luckily, Sid Mashburn delivers on both counts. The key is to stop by the store when you actually have time to take a longer look. While I absolutely do not need anything after “over shopping” for 25 years, I did find an interesting mid-length wool coat that was indeed conservative and unique, fit well and was different than anything I have. The sleeves were a bit long and I was going to take them to my trusted tailor but why do that? They have a terrific tailor on site. THATS A BIG DIFFERENCE! And the price was extremely fair. I picked it up yesterday - perfectly done. I did see yet ANOTHER nice jacket and sent pictures of it (and the website link) to my brother. If you are inclined to shop at J crew, Ralph Lauren or Billy Reid that’s fine BUT MAKE SURE YOU ALSO CHECK OUT SID MASHBURN located on N Street next to MARTINS TAVERN (keep looking you’ll find them) I think you will be pleasantly surprised. They have OUTSIDE THE CHAIN STORE BOX offerings AND GREAT SERVICE. In today’s environment most people (especially in Washington DC) wear identical clothes. However, yiull find a different take on men’s clothes here. So, get off the internet and stop by this store and see what you find that you like. You won’t leave empty handed. Richard Epstein: I purchased from their on-line store a beaded men's necklace that was shown w/ multiple strands for the price advertised. When I received it it was just one strand. When I called to inquire I was told to read the "fine print". This was clearly duplicitous. Everyone should be warned. It is obvious Sid Mashburn is a "BUYER BEWARE" on-line site.

Mohammad Khalaf: I was disappointed. Had to ask for help directly and people were nice enough but only got quick replies with no intention to help me pick things and or get fitted even though I came in with the intention of making a purchase. I walked out after spending way too much time trying to figure out what was the right fit when no one offered to help. I realized I wasn't going to get any attention from the staff, so I went elsewhere.

Clayton Meyer: Not my favorite Brooks Brothers. The staff aren’t the most helpful and inventory often runs low. I found myself walking around the store asking for help when there wasn’t another other customer there. I find other stores, they’re much more likely to walk up to you and offer help.

A. G.: The staff is hit and miss. On each of my five visits over the past year, I have received dirty looks. The staff really won't spend too much time with you or even offer to help if you are not buying big ticket items.

Nicholas Gillert: Spent $2500 here on suits for a new job, gave me differing sizes that fit me poorly (didn’t really know at the time, I simply took their word for it that they were fine). I took these suits to a tailor and they actually laughed at how poorly they fit, even with the tailoring done by BB. It will cost me hundreds of dollars to fix these suits. I like the quality of the suits, but they clearly don’t know how a suit is supposed to fit someone, or how it’s supposed to look. Now I need to pay a substantial sum of money to make them actually fit. It just feels surreal that I spent thousands on these suits and I need to have extensive work done on them because of their incompetence. All out of my pocket. Oh, and they sold me a used pair of $300 dress shoes. I asked for an exchange and they called me a liar, stating they don’t sell used merchandise. These worn-out soles aren’t a feature!

Bill Rosenblatt: I have to give props to the people at this store. What was supposed to be a 3-day stay in DC was abruptly lengthened to 8 days. I had no more clean clothes, and my hotel wasn't providing laundry service, so I had to buy clothing, including a suit for an appearance in court. I came in on a Saturday morning, picked out a suit, and got measured. They were able to do the alterations and have it ready the next day (Sunday). Of course it's a quality suit and it fit well. I came back later to buy a tie and they gave me a break on the price, given that I had just bought one of their top-quality suits at full retail price. Great service!

Matthew Mangiaracina: Went back into the store today after deciding to buy a suit off the rack I was looking at earlier. The staff was so pleasant, relaxed, helpful and knowledgeable, it has the feel of a real store run by real people who know and care about what they're doing. Will be picking up the suit in a couple days after alterations, but with the price of alterations included and 100% guarantee even after alterations, this place is impossible to beat, so I trust it's going to look very good.

Jackson Greene: I needed a tux fast for a Black Tie Event. The service was great, quick and professional. I had my tux within a week for the event. The tux fit amazing, and I think i will use them as a tailor from here forward. Highly recommend for whatever your suits needs may be. Or at least a consideration.

Clayton Russell: Geoffrey Lewis absolutely saved my life on New Years Eve. I called around 11am and needed a tux by that night. Costa told me to come in and they could make it happen....and make it happen they did indeed!! I purchased a complete tuxedo set up (tux, shirt, shoes, etc) and had it tailored perfectly about 2 hours later. It was an absolute hit at the party that night and I was able to ring in the new year in style! These guys run a great shop and I'll definitely be back for a wardrobe update.

Aaron Robinson: Amazing, classic tailor and men's shop. Know that there is a difference between an adjustment to your clothes and a tailoring. Take it to a tailor. And know that there is a difference between shopping with a tailor for custom or ready-made clothes and shopping at a warehouse store. Every suit from Geoffrey Lewis comes with full tailoring included in this price -- this is what makes an amazing suit.

Jongdo Moon: Professional. Courtesy. Extensive knowledge of fabrics, styles and fit; the Abatzis' really know their craft. Highly recommend for custom and off the rack suits, jackets and men's accessories. Front of house man Kosta is as welcoming as he is versed in today's modern men's clothing and style, and will give great recommendations and works with the client to make each trip or suit something unique and special to the person they serve. Can not say enough good things for the shop's professionalism, expertise and timeliness.

Matthew Dievendorf: Thank you for giving my tux a second chance. I don't know if you remember, but I am the customer that lost 40 lbs. I really appreciate you working with me to extend the life of my tux, it looks and fits fantastic. I will be back when the time comes for me to get a new tux!

Jenny O’Neil: The store itself has a small selection. My review is mostly about the unfriendly and i knowledgeable staff. I visited today 12/6 at noon. I went to this store knowing that banana was having a sale 40% off everything and an additional 20% off for card holders. That’s a good deal. First, I asked someone where the petite sizes were, they told me they didn’t carry petite in store. That was a lie because I saw a few petite sizes particular the blazer I bought. My next issue and pet peeve when shopping is when the store employees wants to deny you on discounts. Before purchasing my blazer I wanted to confirm the additional 20%. The cashier said no sorry we’re not doing that. Another lie. I had to search the website, pull up the details and even then they told me it was just online after I showed them the fine print that said IN STORE AND ONLINE FOR IN STORE USE CODE BRCODE! Finally, they said they would “just give it to me” except when I looked at the receipt, the code worked and it marked the 20% off. Stop making us beg for the discounts that we’re entitled to.

Ivan Narvaez: The usual store of BB. Very clean and nice decoration. The people who work there are very friendly and assist you in all your need. I case you can't find your size or color they offer to look in others stores and send it to your house. Very good service.

Ele Palazzolo: I love this shop! Their sizes are accurate. I have been in Banana Republic in Berlin and London and they are all the same everywhere. You kind of know what to expect and is always right. The staff is also helpful and dedicated.

Titaness Themis: Been there a few times...usually not the most pleasant experience...the worst one was yesterday when I went in to buy two dresses and I asked about military discount. The cashier said that it usually does not work with the extra 40% off promo, but she would try. She entered it manually and I got the military discount on one dress and not the other. When I asked why that was, she gave me at least 4-5 versions as to why, which neither made sense. The discount applies to the whole purchase and not to an individual item according to her, so any further explanation is useless. I had to ask for a manager to step in because the girl just did not what she was talking about it. The manager was very courteous and gave me the discount on the other dress as well. She further explained to me that military discount does not apply to the extra 40% promo, but she did it for me anyway. I appreciated it that. In the future, it is best to say flat out it does not apply and not do it.

Amanda DeNardo: I cannot stress enough how terrible the customer service was at this store. I came in looking for basics and a new top and found a blouse (last in my size) and asked them to hold it for me while I try on some basics. They lacked communication and someone put it back (which is okay, it happens). When I was ready to checkout they gave me a huge attitude and when I asked where my blouse was they seemed offended that I was confused... I went back to the rack and found it put away. When I told them what happened they gave me side eye, more attitude, and didn't apologize. Honestly this was a rant and a half but do yourself a favor and just shop online. These guys are jerks.

Taylor Friedman: Stumbled on this place after looking at amiri’s website. This place was listed as one of its stockists in dc. I have never heard of it. But a high end men’s boutique is very hard to come by in this area. So I made the nearly hour drive down here from Rockville, MD. It’s almost inconspicuous between all the other row houses full of shops and restaurants on busy h street. Upon arrival the door was locked and there was a security guard at the door. They were only letting a certain number of people in at a time. I was a little surprised to see that I still needed a mask and the restrictions but I understood. Beautiful two level store with a well curated selection of luxury street wear with an emphasis on shoes. They had a few employees. One guy greated me but the others didn’t really interact. The guy upstairs helped me and he was cool when I started talking to him. I bought a pair of converse sneakers and an Amiri tee. Before I checked out I asked the cashier if I could return or exchange anything and she said no. Was a little surprised but it’s only because of the pandemic. So that knocked a star down for me. Otherwise this is a true hidden gem and a must visit for guys who are into luxury street wear. (Update on second visit: why doesn’t this place have a dressing room? It’s a clothing store! You have to go upstairs to try something on. Still not much privacy plus the employees have to leave and tell other customers that someone is upstairs trying something on. Just an awkward situation. No return or exchange policy still in effect which I think is weird at this point but that’s their rule.)

I know this because even though I'm not local when I call in I have a great time talking to whoever answers the phone. I unfortunately cannot remember her name but there's a woman at this location who is mad cool. She's really kind, she's passionate at what she does. She's part of the reason I am writing this review because look, I'm an anxious person (like many of us are), when I call in and talk about popular releases I know that the shop probably doesn't have time for these types of calls and that at times, they may be an annoying type of call. I call in and speak with her in the past about a collaboration release, it turns into a sneaker conversation. It made me comfortable to reach out, and that I wasn't being annoying. The conversations you'll have with AMM employees are really helpful in more ways than one. Shoutout to the gentleman who works there who went over his top 5 sneakers of last year with me as well, sick list loved the comparison! Yo, AMM's employees are so, so dope. I'm excited to say I'm DEFINITELY going to come check y'all out in person one day. Appreciate y'all, love from Va! Have y'alls 3s and 1s thankfully, stoked on the release of the 2s and can't wait to go after those to complete the set! Y'alls collabs are so clean and aesthetically just without words to describe, y'all kill it and then kill it again, and again, and again. I'm grateful to be an AMM customer, though I'm not local and though I'm a very infrequent shopper, I feel as if I was local and like I was frequent- thank you AMM!

Georgia Hensley: I really enjoyed visiting this H&M. We needed new dresses before going out for a night on the city so we stopped by the H&M closest to our hotel. My sister and I bought a few blouses and some really nice dresses. This place is clean, modern and shiny! Lots of inventory to look through. We were pleasantly surprised. Cute kids clothes as well. This H&M is located at 1025 F St. NW in Washington DC

Gothicah: On certain days, can display a great selection of good finds... on other days it can just be a very messy store. But one of the regular locations I frequently visit.

Lorraine McGhee: The cloth is beautifully set up to pull you in, prices good. Helpful staff, need more smiles though. Other than that I will go there again to by clothes that actually fits my shape and makes me look 👍👍👍👍👍.

Uptown Girl: The staff is so miserable. I like shopping this store when I’m downtown, but would rather shop online to avoid rude employees. The people that work on the second level are the absolute worst.They go out of their way to ignore you.

Bonnie: Clothes are well organized but a staff who worked upstairs on 7/11 around 5-6 pm was not friendly to customers. I only asked what time they close the store and she said 7 pm and didn't even look at me and seemed very ungrateful and bothered.

Scotty ST: During the work day there are no lines. I needed a new work shirt and quickly ran over as I heard J Crew has a new men's line for dress clothes. The staff member Ellen was really helpful and got me in and out of the shop in no time. She told me the deals and what was the best bang for my buck which I appreciated. I got a couple shirts and they fit great. The slim fit looks great - I just wish they had more patten options.

Taylor Mickal: Phenomenal service. I ordered some Ludlow Collection suit separates from this location while at another store-- as that location didn't have my sizes in stock at the time-- and had the items shipped to my house. For whatever reason (most likely due to UPS issues) I never received them. I spoke to Irene today and she was incredibly professional. She sought out each of the items that I was supposed to receive and had them shipped to the store for me to pick up-- to avoid dealing with UPS again. I am immensely grateful for the initiative and professionalism she displayed and will definitely be a customer for however long I remain in DC.

Erin Reel: I had issues with a bridesmaid dress that I ordered (on sale) online so made an appointment to come in for a fitting. The consultant (I think her name was Jessie) was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She wasn't pushy and was very honest. I tried on the dress I originally purchased and then a few more than she brought over. In the end, instead of talking me in to buying a new and more expensive dress, she offered to returned the dress I bought and reorder it in a better size. After I left she called me to let me know that the dress was now on final sale but she added a provision so I could exchange it within 60 days should I have problems AND (the best part) she added a new sale code to get me 40% off! $107 for a bridesmaid dress?? Can't beat it! :) Highly recommend going there over a pushy boutique.

Rafael Javier: Horrible experience when I visited the store for some clothes and recognized a Individual working there that months ago I have reported for aggressive behavior towards me. It was just because I asked him a question about fitting rooms locations. He was rushing maybe for taking his break I guess but still his attitude was really hateful. It was like he has something against blacks. That is why I took my valuable time to write a second report. Stop racial discrimination in America. According to one of the associates, his name is Ali, he is Pakistani 5’3. I reported him before. It is a shame he still working there. Of course I’m not coming back..when I spend my money and get that kind of treatment.

gloria martinez: First I want to be clear I enjoy shopping here but this moment and experience was an epic fail. Customer service left much to be desired. When trying to purchase items using the J.Crew card they would not allow the purchase because they ONLY accept IDs with your address on it. They did not even attempt to call customer service and use other information to validate the account- ssn, dob, address confirmation, none of that. The only suggestion was that we pay using our own card and then go back to the store with the receipt to have points added later. A military ID was available to confirm identity. But still, no attempt to call customer service and see what other information could be used to confirm account.

Cynthia: Very nice stylish clothing even though prices are a little high for my taste. Salespeople are very nice. I usually buy from the Gap, they are similar in style but prices are a little lower.

Eliza Redway: Came in to the store looking for a bridesmaids dress for my brother's wedding in May. Dress requirements? Navy and knee length. My mom and I were very excited to see that the wedding apparel was sold in Georgetown so off we went. Upon arrival I was told that we were not even allowed to see the dresses without an appointment although that was not expressed over the phone or on the store's website. When I asked if there may be any navy dresses in the non-wedding section (which is not out of the question as navy is a common dress color) I was told curtly that there was not a dress that would match my description unless I made an appointment. Very rude service, ended up leaving and finding a lovely dress at anthropologie on the same block. J. Crew lost my business today.

Heidi Biffl: Returning a gift was easy. Sale stuff was all 0 or 12; not much in between. And most that was on sale before Christmas is back to full price now. Not inspired, but the service was good and the experience was pleasant.

Miles Hall: Great location and super friendly stylists. Good place to start any Georgetown fashion adventure. Best J Crew in the District . Hands down.

Helen: Very disappointed in the service JCREW provided. I made my appointment weeks in advance and had friends coming in from out of state to attend my appointment with me. The day before they called to cancel my appointment with no options for rescheduling because they were "short on staff". I spoke with at least 3 workers there and then kept getting mixed messages. Someone would call to confirm my appointment then someone would email me to cancel my appointment. After all the back and forth, they settled on having the stylist on the floor to cover my appt. She was unable to tell me names of dresses and price. Also took my measurements and said she would email them, but haven't heard from then since. We were in and out in less than 10 mins. After having superb service at BHLDN next door, was especially disappointed. They also had very limited selections of things I could try on and barely got any assistance! If traveling from afar, not worth stopping be here while BHLDN is next door.

Don Malnati: Nice store, The sales clerks are helpful, but there aren't very many of them. I knew that Macy's sold the perfume that my wife wanted, so I just dashed in, was directed to where I could find it, and purchased it along with a nice gift bag. They have a large variety of things, the gift bags were really inexpensive. A good shopping experience!

Muniba Khan: Stopped by from out of town since the weather ended up being a lot colder than expected. We were able to find some winter wear for a reasonable price, although I wish they had a wider selection of warm coats and some gloves for these cold fronts. Everyone that helped us was super great and friendly!

Charmaine Hurst: I'm from Philadelphia and the Macy's in Washington DC is much better looking inside! Brighter lights,the women's clothing layout displays of colors style,etc. That makes you want to be there and shop and look around. Brighter lights and the white painted walls helps to be a pleasant experience and welcoming. Clean lines and spaces makes it look larger. It is better looking than the Macy's in downtown Philadelphia where it is gloomy looking and old looking.It need a upgrade!

Kristen Ashworth: Had a lot of fun at Macy's while we were on vacation in DC! A perfect way to spend a rainy day on a girl's trip... or any time we needed a little retail therapy ;) . Their shoe and purse department is expansive and most of our purchases were marked down substantially. They even have a section for dogs - good quality dog toys for cheap prices! Dominee in the shoe department was extremely helpful and attentive for all the shoes we tried on - super fast getting sizes, kept us laughing, and went above and beyond to help us!

Michael Anderson: I enjoyed walking around the store window shopping for new items. They was a pretty good selection but thank goodness I wear a popular size or I would have purchased the whole store! I may go back to the Macy's near my home to do some wardrobe updating in the near future.

The experience painless and without incident. After the return, we made our to the children department. My daughter wanted to see if there anything new out for babies 18-24 months. There were some times, but nothing much that caught her. My grandson did grab a footsie pajama and my daughter saw a cute pair of sneakers and a tee shirt. Very cute 😍! The checkout rep was very friendly, and he was the manager. Overall, a great experince🙏🙏🙏

C Meadows: Terrible customer service in their furniture department. The gentleman that "helped" me didn't seem to have a clue what he was doing. I asked him questions he couldn't answer so he said he would check with his supervisor and then call or text me the next day. He never did. When I came back to the store three days later he was rude to me about the situation. Shop online to avoid the poor customer service.

Susan Marich: Signs are tough to find. Feels like a fire hazard. Terrible service. Four clerks at the perfume counter just stood around talking and would not acknowledge I needed assistance. I looked for a clerk on several floors ( no one around) and the up escalators didnt work; 4th floor before I found a clerk who would help. The worst! I ended up leaving and spent my money elsewhere. Some people don't need a job I guess.

Cherisse Pais: This store is a disaster. None of the suitcases had prices on them, so I had to hunt down a cashier to find out how much one was, who was MASK-LESS the entire time, not to mention completely incompetent. She ended up charging me when all I wanted was a price check. And then she tried to talk me out of processing a refund, insisting that is was a good deal (it wasn’t). Absolutely not worth going here! It’s gone so far downhill.

Lance Hill: While in DC, not dressed properly, walked in to buy a $500 Barbour jacket, that I always wanted anyway. So I said walking in the door, I’m on meds, really need to pee; and if I can, I’ll buy a jacket. Period. They said, “Nope”. As a former restaurant owner for 25 plus years, I muse over what could have been a much much shorter career, if I had treated my customers the same 😉

Alex Terrafranca: Super helpful staff and an amazing customer experience. A shame that the Europeans INCORRECTLY put their zippers on the left side of the jacket but it doesn't take long to get used to. Would definitely recommend checking out this store.

Little effort was being made by the manager or staff. And then...... Daniel came on the scene and with diligence, a great amount of effort and using every resource at hand, he was able to produce the vest; an item that everyone else said did not exist anywhere on the planet. He is my hero and this is the reason that the Barbour store in Georgetown truly represents the high quality of what I've come to know and appreciate in the Barbour name and product. Customer service at its finest!
