Samantha Link: Upholstery Restoration & Select Fabrics did a fantastic job on three pieces I needed to be redone. I had two vintage loveseats and one bench that were in complete disrepair. They worked with me to figure out exactly how I wanted to reupholster everything which took me multiple visits to the store. They have a lot of options to choose from- and they took the time with me to really help me hone in on the vibe and the fabric that I wanted. Picking up the pieces and delivery was also easy and great. Amazing work takes time and they really did a thorough job of restoring my pieces. My old worn out furniture looks completely new and modern. The loveseats meant a lot to me because they were my late grandmother’s and great grandmother’s furniture and I am glad I entrusted my pieces to them. They look killer and so different but also retain the beauty of what makes older furniture so special. I have an older armchair that I am entrusting to them next. Anyway- if you are looking to invest in redoing old pieces- this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!!!

They replaced a curved mahogany foot and stained it so as to match perfectly. We very much appreciate the creative input Dave gave towards the overall design regarding fabric seams and cushions. KMB: I’ve always had a great relationship with the establishment as a whole, but this store was so disrespectful to me, friends, and comrades. I want to play devils advocate for them so bad but what they did was so disrespectful! We spent thousands of dollars here and they were trying to kick us out by closing they’re cutting booth and we’re following us all around making sure we didn’t steal. Let me mind you, there was a white couple who they treated so well. Obviously I am a person of color making a comment like this, but that’s so unprofessional and disrespectful! They even locked us in the store! Who does that?! They said that it was so no body else walks in… how are we supposed to walk out then? Make it make sense. No sense = nonsense. They were even talking about my friends and comrades in a different language so we wouldn’t know what they were saying. Very disrespectful and I’m very disappointed in this store.
My-Self S: Miss Keneisha 10+ she was amazing , I drove all the way from Virginia to the store, sense that was the only store that was showing that has Cricut mugs available. When I got there I could not find any on the floor. I passed by Miss Keneisha and ask her about it she told me everything was at the front. I when to the front and the cashier said there did not have any. I when back to the website and it still was showing that there had 16 left. Miss Keneisha saw me looking around and said that she will help me after she is done with a customer. Few sec later she came and ask me to show her what I was looking for, after that she checked again and said she will look in the back sense she could not find any on the floor either. She left and few min later ,came back with a big box of all 16 mugs. I was so happy I was jumping out of the joy from inside. What I want to say thank you Miss Keneisha for going out of your way to help me find the mugs. I appreciate it so much.

I love that the collections are very unique. I should mention the sales associates. One time I wanted to make a hat for a high tea. The sales associate asked me a few important questions "have I done this craft before?" She had the best shortcut idea and it looked AMAZING! The other day I was in therr for fall crafts and guess what? IT WAS STILL FALL!! Great selection and again the sales rep was very helpful and friendly to all of his customers.

T.: Terrible customer service. I was in the store for 15 minutes and no one acknowledge with a simple hello. I even walked back and forth by two employees (one of them was laying her head down on the cutting table) they were more concern with what goes with ground beef than their customers. I walk passed 5 employees and nothing. I strongly urge the owner to invest in customer service all workers to make sure everyone is greeted. I would rather by drive someplace else and spend more money where I feel welcomed and better customer service. Get it together and DO better.
Amber Riley: I came here because there are very few options in Fredericksburg, VA for fabric. I was getting alterations done to my wedding dress and needed a very specific color and fabric type that is hard to find. The ladies here went out of their way to help me find the fabric as well as the netting and educated me on the difference between fabric types. I really wish I could recall who assisted me, but she was a doll and even went in the back to try and find lace applique that would match. I gave my recommendation to my tailor to send people to this store.

John R. Gawalt: This shop has a variety of fabrics and I can usually find what I need for my projects. I am not a sewer or quilter but every now and then I need a piece of fabric for this or that and I have found it here. Staff have been friendly, helpful, and tolerant of my inexpert questions.

April Griffin: Bright store with a great selection and organization. The major sections I noticed are notions, fashion, quilting, and home dec; not sure if there are more, as I mostly lurked in quilting. The quilting section is broken into many subsections by theme and color, e.g. solids, florals, batiks, stripes, etc. I was shopping for 19 different fabrics for a quilt and found everything I needed easily. I’m remembering so many prints I liked and would have bought if I weren’t already buying so much lol. There was one employee in particular working checkout who brightened my day just by being so cheerful, and the first thing I saw when I walked in was her aggressively sanitizing a shopping cart before putting it away. My minor complaints are the thread selection didn’t fit my preferences, and the prepackaged batting supply was sparse and needed restocking. I will have to continue to buy large cotton thread cones online.

We have worked with them for a couple years now and it is always a pleasure to collaborate. Their team is very professional and a great resource for the latest and greatest in design trends and how to best utilize materials to suite your particular project. Would definitely recommend visiting their showroom in DC.

I was able to use existing fabric for one project so it matched other drapes . I was also able to find complementary fabric with existing window treatments in a bedroom. Installation was done very efficiently and competently. The people involved were very knowledgeable and creative. I am very happy with all the products and services of Mill End Shops.
Anne McKay LPC NCC CCMHC: The custom cushions for my gazebo deck furniture are beautiful! Lydia is an extremely skilled designer. I went to numerous shops all over the area and none were able to help me figure out how to find a right 3rd fabric (that had worn out) to match with 2 existing fabrics. The room look great! She was so responsive and organized. The fabrics were all very high quality and reasonably priced. The tailoring job was of the highest level. I recommend that store now to all my friends! Koi Toi: Horrible customer service. I pulled my phone out to check the time, just to be accused of recording?!?! I was left standing waiting for another cut of fabric. They claim they can only make one cut per fabric ?!? It is clear that customer service and class is not available at this location. I will happily be driving the 40 min to the sterling location. This place plain and simple is a mess along with the staff.
S E: I was disappointed that the lady at the fabric cutting counter advised that the 0.333 yds left on the roll after measuring out 9 yds would be 50% off. I didn’t realize it until I got home that it wasn’t and was only given 25% off which was the sale price for it already. I also purchased 2 rolls of overlock thread and realized when I got home that I was charged two different prices for the same item. It was a noticeable difference. I wasn’t paying attention at the register and just thought the cashier would’ve noticed the price difference for the thread.

Asya Renee: This store is extremely unkept. There are stains all over the floor, and unraveled fabric placed in various miscellaneous places. Not to mention, the staff are poorly trained. This location defintely needs a remodel and some additional staff because there is usually only about 2-3 workers each time I go. There is a new manager, originally from CA— she is very pleasant and deserves a store worth working at.

So I went to the fabric section and asking for help. There was a white, short, long hair with a ponytail female staff with glasses was cutting the fabric for another white customer. She was really nice to that white customer and talking about her dog. When I asked her where I can find the card. She gave me a very dirty look with a very bad attitude said they don’t sell any card here and she seems very inpatient. So, she gave me this nasty gross face just because I’m an Asian while she was talking nicely to another white customer there? It’s definitely discrimination and will never go back again. I will also file a report to their company.

RCS S: There’s a lot of good deals. 70% off on all Christmas decorations or holiday stuffs and 40%off on some items in store. There’s also some 30%off on selected items. Their clearance items are pretty good deal. So much things to see aside from holidays items.
Leo: Came looking for new headliner fabric and the staff were super friendly and helped me find exactly what I needed. Very pleased with the results !

The other locations I’ve been too have a better system when it comes to getting fabric and for someone that may be a first time customer may not even see the “grab ticket” sign yet their employees could simply say “hey please don’t forget to grab a ticket” Very disappointed with this place and the customer service.
MG: A large store which is well stocked. I always find good stuff here and I like the larger shopping center which contains a T.J. Maxx, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and movie theatre, and other cool stuff. Plenty of space to park and well-lit.
Jan McEwen: I ordered online for in-store pick up. There is no line in the store for online orders and you have to wait in the regular line any way. Stupid.
Jessica Fisher: Well organized and lots of products to choose from. Cutting counter staff can be understaffed or overwhelmed with orders at times, so you may have to wait a bit (make sure you get a number!). Even still, i prefer to go here vs the smaller Joann stores in the area.

Ellie: I love this shop for the sheer volume of fabric they have available. The store is not very organized but that is the beauty of it- give yourself time to wander around and see what you can find. From my experience this shop mostly stocks woven fabrics and few knits (or perhaps I missed them!). There are some notions on the shelves- zippers, decorative ribbon- but if you need something specific you will have to ask the owner who keeps lots of small items (hook and eyes, needles, etc) in the counter. All the fabric I have purchased was very inexpensive and I look forward to visiting again!

Tim Gronniger: Great service, great products, reasonable timeline. Mill End Shops helped us evaluate a fairly big project with window treatments for 11 windows. The results are beautiful and the products are working smoothly.
Diane LaGrega Bertocchi: It is a lovely shop with many selections to choose from. I had such a pleasant experience with everyone from the sales person in the store to the upholster to delivery. It was very easy and I am very happy with the final product. They did an excellent job. I had my dining room chairs done and they were a gift from my mother-in-law. Even she approved and had her sofa done with Mill End Shops. I would recommend them to anyone.

Linnea Means: What a wonderful experience with Mill End Shops. Lydia was amazing to work with. She took such care. My husband is retired and physically challenged and he spend 85% of his day on the sofa. Lydia requested that the fabric be reinforced with a backing to give strength and longevity to the absolutely beautiful sofa. Our new drapes and Darren that hung them took such pride in his work. I would recommend Mill End Shop to everyone to asks.

They have tons of gorgeous quality fabrics and Lorraine is a wonderful design expert who I worked with. My chairs were picked up from my home and delivered soon after looking brand new! Beth Hulfish: I remember as a child, running and getting things from the Market Square shop, silver polish, candles, napkins, fabric samples etc. My mom would park outside and I would be sent to pick up these items. I purchased my first piece of furniture from Market Square. A beautiful love seat. Now, over 30 years later it still looks great! Lasted longer then my marriage! Still going strong!! Best service, Best merchandise in Town!

Janie Bowerbank: Great place and so organized. It is massive in si e with so much to buy. I think is has been the best JoAnnes I have been to. Many options fir fabrics and threads. Loads of materials to get your craft on!
Robin Frank: This new Joann Fabric Store is nothing like all others I’ve visited. It’s beautiful, spacious, and well stocked with a huge open learning / creation space in the middle of the store. Plus there’s equipment you can rent for quilting and creating. I hope to take a class there soon.
Ms. Christine Medina: This is a really nice store. It is nice and clean and well stocked and well staffed. They have a huge variety of fabric and yarn, plus a ton of other stuff. The Cricut machines and supplies covers at least 4 or 5 aisles. You can find almost anything here for any sort of craft. But a word of warning about prices: The prices in the store are not necessarily the same as the prices in the ad or on the website The shelf prices at this store seem to be a bit higher (as noted in the fine print in the ad.) But I will still pick this Joann as my go-to fabric store.
Monique Moody: Mikaela was so helpful to me . She went the extra "yard" to help me locate Cultural Diversity fabrics at other stores. She was really the best. I think all Joanns should be like this one. The staff is great, store is clean.They even have free coffee.
Sarah Nguyen: I rarely ever leave negative reviews but my experience today was unacceptable. I was met with the rudest and coldest associate today while getting some fabric cut at this location. After simply asking for the yards of fabric I needed the associate aggressively handled the fabric and coldly replied to a simple question. She then SLAMMED the receipt on the counter. I have no idea what led this associate to treat me with such rudeness and disrespect. They were not even that busy and I only had 2 pieces of fabric. She did not even greet me or had any small talk so I’m not sure why she was so upset. The associates name was Holland. I hope they will train their associates on how to treat customers with decency and respect bc this associate lacked basic human decency. I’m truly disgusted.

MT Howard: For knitting supplies: Really nice variety and well-stocked in yarn. I am almost always able to get the yarn I need for my projects. Sometimes the Bernat section is a little low but that could have been the timing of when I went. Carry standard sizes and lengths in knitting needles so still can only get about maximum 28 inches on the circular needles but I’ve always had to order longer ones. It’s worth the drive. Plus I used curbside service so it was a quick transaction.
Sweetest Suite Cake Company: Although cashier was courteous and professional, check out was very long as only one cashier was working.
Yolonda Body: I love how helpful the staff is from the point of entry until I check out. I also love the added bonus of coupons through the app. I am often excited to see the free craft kits for children; they come with a 20% off coupon. Winning!

They were VERY unprofessional and even showed their negative attitudes and it has affected some of the workers. Respectfully look over your management and staff because they need to be retrained or just let go. It is never okay to curse at your own employees and that just really shows how they function if they do at all. Do better.

Stacy Lemery: Having a West Elm accessible to bus and metro lines is great for residents of the DC area. There is always lots more online, but being able to see the quality of bedding, furniture, etc in person makes a big difference. I have purchased a bed, bedding, hallway shelving, a shoe rack, curtains, candle holders, and other decor from West Elm.
Eric Overton: Staff at this store were basically useless and didn’t seem to know much about the products for sale. Fortunately, I was only there to test a floor model before buying online. Shipping was fast with only two weeks between purchase and delivery. Delivery dudes were both prompt and chill.
Geneva: I was wary of buying from this store based on some of the reviews here; however, after a year of searching for the right sectional, I found the perfect one for me at West Elm. I received good service from the store. The sales person was very clear that my sectional - which I bought in November for a nice discount - would not arrive until early January. As promised, I got calls and emails from the delivery department the second week of January and was able to schedule a date that worked for me. The two delivery guys were amazing - they had to maneuver their big truck down a narrow alley to get to the loading dock. They were professional and efficient and out of my apartment in less than 15 minutes. The sectional is exactly what I wanted and so comfortable.
Jonathan Mullen: Some nice stuff. Seems overpriced for what it is. Similar to Crate and Barrel.Joybird is just down the street and offers higher quality furniture at a better price.
Annapurna Mitra: The worst delivery experience I have encountered. I ordered a dining table and four chairs, with in-home delivery. The chairs were sent via UPS, not assembled, and with no explanation despite paying $250 for in-home delivery. I live alone, and there are 7 pages of assembly instructions requiring two people. I have no way of doing this, and am left with a living room like a furniture warehouse. On the other hand, the dining table, which was ready 10 days ago, and I had asked the customer service to wait and schedule an appointment for all items together is yet to arrive. I cannot find a way to schedule anything on the website, and on the phone I can not find a way to talk to a human being. I have received no response to my email. If I could give zero stars I would.

Shaquita Wilson: A++. Had no idea they existed & was looking for a more reputable fabric store nearby, which has closed. Came looking for fabric and they helped me pick an item closest to what I needed. Was done with my purchase in less than five minutes! Two staff assisted me (when one couldn’t find my item, initially, the other rep (Kevin) did. Friendly, professional, great team work, & helpful. I will certainly return for drapery, custom window treatments, & upholstery projects.

It is owned and operated by a local family who prides themselves on great quality service. I can’t say enough about how easy it is to work with Kevin and the value he brings to the marketplace. If you want great quality craftsmanship reupholster and window treatments done then, this is the place to get it! I have had great success and happy customers using their expertise.

Terrence Brown: Not a lot of variety. You can tell they have a germ phobia plastic. They are trying to protect us but seems excessive. Low quality products. Never going in there again. The garlands were terrible to. I saw something I wanted but long line and plastic barrier throws you off.
