Jonathan Schroeder: Bought my first car last week (a used Subaru Outback)…only to get it home and realize the drivers seat had this huge rip in the upholstery (I hadn’t noticed it cuz I was sitting on it). Took it to the dealership, but their leather guy didn’t think he could fix it without messing things up. Dropped the car off at Key the next day. They got it back to me in less than 24 hours; looks great and the service/process was easy and fairly priced. 10/10 would recommend.

Jonathan Benami: Put a new top on my low mileage 2006 Nissan 350z more than a month ago. Price was very good compared to other places even much farther away and these guys really know what they are doing. 1450 was good price. Some places wanted 2100. The only reason for 4 stars is that after my top install one of the side tension straps ripped. Car didn't seem to care, top went up and down. But they acted like it was a warranty item and didn't tell me until I picked it up and surprise charged me another 160 bucks. Could have saved me two trips out there and just replaced it with the top as it was 16 yrs old. I am not sure that was out of dishonesty because the guy doing the work and running cards his English isn't the best and they don't talk much. Owner who answers the phone, Daw, speaks very well and his service is great. He always schedules things and their estimates are accurate. I'd go to this place again in a heartbeat because their skill level is quite high and price is reasonable for this area.

Joseph A. Lee: Moon and Kim are nice people but do have have a business concept. I came to replace my Jeep top and they asked to be paid in cash. I did. When I picked up the Jeep they neglected to install the foam inserts and asked that I come back after 4 weeks to allow the new top to stretch. I came back with the foam inserts and now they refused to install and said I can do this myself. Lesson learned - do not pay in cash or retain some cash to complete installations Service: Upholstery repair

Darron Thompson: Very satisfied with the results!! Expert craftsmanship used to repair a hole in my seat caused by my rambunctious new puppy. Since I was getting that repaired, I went ahead and decided to go all in and accent my seats upholstery to match the paint color of my FJ Cruiser. Together we chose a perfect matching color and fabric and I could not be more pleased with the results. You will be in good hands with Key Auto Upholstery.

After finding out that I needed to replace the whole thing (shoutout to Volkswagens being a pain), I called Key Auto Upholstery and they helped me understand why that was the case and took the time to explain the repairs. Then, they offered my the BEST deal I could find in the area, $2k less than what my dealership wanted me to pay. The part came in earlier than we expected, and they fixed my car in less than a day! It looks better than it ever did before. Very kind people that work here! 10/10 experience.

Chris Arena: I contacted this company to do a steering wheel wrap. They offered the service on their website and said they had experience doing it. I purchased my steering wheel from a vendor and brought the wrap to their shop. They quoted me in the e-mail a price of $360 for three hours of labor at $120/hr. I told them to call me if they would take more then the estimated 3 hours. When I went to go pick up my car they told me it took the mechanic 9.7 hours and charged me $1,164.00 plus sales tax. When I contacted the manufacturer of the steering wheel wrap they told me the wrap should only take 1-2 hours to install and that SeatCo ripped me off by taking so long on the labor. I could have purchased two new wheels for that price. Do not trust them and make sure you get everything in writing. Service: Upholstery installation

Darius Hinton: Excellent service, great communication, and full of integrity. I would definitely recommend. My convertible top was cut open by a thief. Insurance paid for repairs. First shop I went to gave me too much run around regarding working with my insurance and getting the supplementals required to do the work. They asked me to order my own parts and it was taking them a week just to engage with my insurance. Seatco was recommended by my dealership and when I arrived Neal sat with me and called my insurance, emailed the paperwork required, and ordered the parts for me on the spot. Took him 15 minutes. When the parts came, he called me to bring the car in. I brought it in and they discovered another damaged part. Because of supply chain issues, the part was on backorder. They located the 2 remaining inventory in the nation (being sold at a premium), and worked with my insurance to do another supplemental all without bothering or inconveniencing me. I pick the car up today and its cleaned and the top looks brand new.

Peter Knetemann: I'll try to be as fair as I can. This review addresses lack of communication. Seatco and I go back at least 15 years. Always dealt with Neil. Experience always good. Oct. 2020 (yes, almost 1 year ago) I dropped off a vinyl boat seat cushion repair job. Nothing complicated. Was told it might take some time to get to it. Didn't hear for months. Called Neil early this past May; was told they were very busy and he'd check and get back to me in 20 minutes. Asked Neil if he had my cell, "yes I have it". Didn't hear back. Just called again (Sept 13, 2021), Neil told me they are way behind, short of man power, emergency jobs get in the way, Covid, etc. Not able to provide a completion date. It's been almost a year notwithstanding a simple job request, and I hear nothing. Apologies, etc. are nice, but if the customer is completely left in the dark; something is missing. Either don't accept the job, or communicate after you do. Don't leave the customer hanging. I typically don't do reviews. In this case I did to warn potential customers about lack of follow up and disappointment/time wasted. I do wish Neil and Seatco the very best. Sorry things didn't work out. Kip M: Our moon roof drains clogged on both cars within a month. Seatco was able to diagnose and fix the problem, and remediate the mold in our cars. Professional service - Matt and Neil communicated the process and timelines clearly and the work is outstanding. HIGHLY RECOMMEDED!

Brandon Bitgood: Seatco is fantastic! They were easily able replace my sagging headliner for a reasonable price. The quality of work is outstanding and the new headliner looks better than the factory original. Matt went above and beyond to help out when we discovered that my sunroof frame had rusted and was leaking shortly after the headliner replacement. He covered the roof with collision wrap to prevent water damage, helped troubleshoot the source of the leak, and replaced the sunroof glass a few days later once the replacement glass I had ordered arrived. Seatco really seems to care about their customers and their vehicles. I would not hesitate to come back again.Thanks for the great service!

hampton oberle: I am very fortunate to have stumbled upon Seatco when I was looking for a complete restoration of the interior. The car (83 Pontiac Trans Am) had custom Recaro seats so no covers were commercially available. Seatco, from scratch, restored all the seats. It simply exceeded my expectations to say the least. It looks like it did 37 years ago when I bought the car. Thanks Seatco.

Dion Dillard: Matt from Seatco was extremely patient and he conducted quite a bit of research on my vehicle's seats. For some reason, some vehicles do not have a lot of options for seat covers and for certain colors regarding re-upholstery sets available for quick re-ordering. My vehicle was one of those limited optioned vehicles. Matt took the old material and matched up the seats with new material. I cannot emphasize enough how pleased I am with the new seats. I received excellent customer service from Seatco and highly recommend them.

Elliott K: Seatco is an excellent shop that does high quality work on vehicle upholstery. I got my leather seats steering wheel repaired for my vehicle, the price was reasonable and the work completed quickly. There was a small snafu that resulted in an attempt to pick up the vehicle when it wasn't ready, but they more than compensated us for their mistake. Location is a bit confusing and is in an industrial park, if you're dropping off a car and ordering a ride-share, they may get confused trying to get to your location. I'd definitely use them again for future repairs.

April C: Gil and his band of merry men are incredible 😊. I needed my headliner replaced in my 2005 volvo and I needed it bad. I called Gil and his team worked with me and my schedule to make it happen. I really enjoyed the personal touch of him contacting me, speaking to me and making sure I understood what I was getting. It felt personal and I liked that I wasn't just another number on their books. The price was great as well, right in my bidget. Even better, the headliner is perfect and the sunroof is perfect. There was a little issue with the sunroof not closing automatically but when I explained the issue to Gil he knew exactly how to remedy the problem and quickly. I highly recommend this family business as they take pride in what they do and it shows. The replacement liner is better than the original. I have received many compliments on it. [Headliner replaced 8/28/18]

CBINVB: Gil is an honest dude. Very much a subscriber of "don't waste my time and I won't waste yours" He gave an estimate that was a little higher than I like but wasn't unreasonable. The workmanship was worth the price paid and he finished two days ahead of request. I'd definitely bring my business back there.

C. Jones: The headliner on my Honda Pilot started to sag, so I wanted to get it replaced. Gil and his employee Jeremy were wonderful to work with! I was able to get an appointment quickly and the new headliner looks fantastic. I had picked out a fabric color for the headliner that looked to be a close match to the sun visors. When they started to work on the headliner, Gil and Jeremy realized the fabric I chose was a few shades off. They called and asked if they could keep my Pilot an extra day so they could order a fabric that more closely matched the sun visor color; this was fine with me. The new headliner fabric is a near-perfect match to the sun visors! And then Gil THANKED me for allowing them to keep my Pilot an extra day to do the job right. James Sweeney: I am a car salesman from called from Florida, and I sold a Maserati to a client in the Annapolis area. There was a minor issue with the B pillar causing the passenger side seat belt to not function correctly. I spoke with Gil and asked him if it was something they could take care of and if I could pay him with our company credit card over the phone after correcting the issue. Gil said to send my client in and he would diagnose the issue and set an appointment with my client to get the issue fixed. I called my client and he said he was nearby and he brought it over immediately. Within 30 minutes I received a call from my client saying he went by and that GS had already corrected the problem and that they did it for no charge!! An issue like this could have been expensive considering we couldn't look at it ourselves from across the country and many companies out there would and could have used that against us and charged fees for things that weren't necessary at all. What a first class organization! Thank you so much Gil, and thanks to your team there for helping us and my client out, 5 stars across the board! I definitely recommend GS Auto Upholstery to anyone with any upholstery needs!

dwayne johnson: 2009 Jaguar XF headliner repair. Gil took the time to explain exactly what he was going to do. He fixed a minor issue with my sunroof for no extra charge. The work was done within 24 hours and it looks great. The price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend them.

David Jung: I went to GS to have my Mustang Convertible top Replaced. Met the Owner and he was extremely knowledgeable and was able to go over the complete process. The convertible top was replaced perfectly and I have had no problem since. I highly recommend!

Corey Guen: I've been a DP customer since I moved to DC in 2019, for a variety of needs. They've always been upfront, efficient and effective. I can't stress enough how much I appreciate the attitude David and co run their business with, I always feel like I'm being given straight, fair answers and charged reasonable prices. I trust them wholeheartedly with my car, which is about the highest compliment I can pay a business, particularly one where the expertise imbalance between customer and business is such that it would be easy to charge for work that isn't necessary. Many shops give in to the temptation, but multiple times I've asked whether certain services would be necessary and been told no. DP is great and deserves your business, and I will be sad to eventually move and need to find someone else to replace them.

Emily Guskin: Dave is the best mechanic. I have a 20 year old car that I hope to drive for 20 more years because of Dave. I have never been condescended to by anyone on his staff and never feel ripped off. In fact, he often charges me less than his estimate and regularly tells me not to bother to fix some stuff. He also lets me order after-market parts myself and then I just pay his team labor costs. Everyone who works there is nice, enormously competent and clearly enjoys their work.

Tristan K.: Great people here, especially David, the owner. As a person with only basic car knowledge, this is the first time I've ever really felt like I could trust a mechanic. Getting my alternator replaced cost me about half as much here (including parts and labor) as another place that I had look at it. Dennis Nguyen: DP Auto Service is awesome! I had a check engine light illuminated. I have a device to get the fault code. I also did hours of research trying to figure out what was wrong and what part I needed. It had something to do with an oxygen sensor. I purchased a sensor and called in to have it replaced, letting them know what sensor I had. Lo and behold, I got the wrong brand and not the original equipment manufacturer, and instead some aftermarket part. DP Auto told me to look up the part for a specific brand that Toyota's use, and I did. While Lexus (owned by Toyota) was quoting me $420 for the parts and labor plus a mandatory $150 diagnostic fee, I panicked a bit and said no. The dealership was charging $237+tax for the part alone! I went the route of doing the diagnostic work and ordering the part myself for about $65. I went to DP Auto and got the part replaced the day of in about an hour The cost was very fair for the labor. To sum it up, I took a chance, did the diagnostic, and it's on me if it didn't work out. However, I have no more check engine light and couldn't be more relieved. I hate those dash board warning lights, and I've put this off for too long.

Jay Orlando: David at DP Auto is easily the best mechanic I've ever worked with. He helped fix a problem on my car that had been and issue for 6+ months that no other mechanic seemed able to figure out. The car is running better than ever now. David was able to show me the issue on my car, and test it while I was there to see what the issue was. Ive never had a mechanic be so quick or transparent in that way. Additionally the price was very fair/good, and the car was ready quickly, exactly within the time window that David said it would be. For these reasons I highly recommend David and DP Auto and will be sending all of my friends here too.

Superskunk1954: Excellent experience. My situation involved significant frame repairs due to corrosion that was so serious, my vehicle would not pass state safety inspection. Staff was very considerate and accurately stated cost from the onset of the process; no surprises. Additional restoration work involved paint and clear coat that was completed in a manner that exceeded my expectations. Very minor issues afterwards were immediately and professionally addressed. Justin Small: Terrible customer service. Left me on hold for 15 minutes. Drove to the store still on hold walked in and they were doing nothing. They don’t have correct labels where their engine oil was so I bought some thinking it was going to be $15 as advertised and instead it was $27. Poorly run shop.

Aziz Siddiqi: Very bad services, they sell the equipment not telling the customer about it’s quality but while returning the same equipment after a week or 2, then they are asking you to bring our equipment with its box. Very ridiculous. Who is keeping the box of an equipment for a week or two after purchasing. When u purchased stuff with its box then u trash the box not keeping it for decoration of ur home. Shame on NAPA management for such services.

Isabel Rodriguez: Nice parts, a lot of them made in USA, Japan, etc, but terrible experience buying here, fake inventory, if you order online, they never have the parts, lately had bad experience with NAPA, so i will stop buying from this company to avoid drama.

Steve Murphy: Visited for the first time and it was like I stepped back in time. The man at the desk had the part that I was looking for. He offered to make certain that he had the part before I drove there. He was the only store in northern Virginia that had the part for my 53 year old car.

Ateeb Rahman: Ordered parts online to save money but when i went to pick up the part they charged a hidden freight fee without mentioning it, i do not mind paying the fee but I need to be informed where my money is going. Mechanic fixed the car without needing the part. I went to return the part the guy started to give me an attitude about the return which he also did not return the freight fee. This place has horrible customer service. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Your best bet is anywhere than here.

Joseph Cowan: This place is sooooo sketchy. It's in a business park... next to the train tracks... which is a great place for the set of a horror movie. It's a postage stamp of a store. Most of their business must be done ordering online, because they have next to no inventory in this tiny place. All I needed was a can-o-air or fix-a-flat.... which they did have, so I guess I'll give them an extra star for that.

James Struckmeyer (civilwarhero): When I need an elusive, uncommon or hard-to-find part or tool, I don't hesitate for a second and head directly to NAPA. If they don't have it on-hand, they know where to find it or order it. Still America's Best Auto Parts Store.

Dave Johnson: I had a great experience with Imperial! It took a couple weeks to get an appointment, but they took care of my car in just a few days. Replaced and painted the hood (perfect paint match), replaced the grill and trim, and repaired the front bumper. They took care of all of the insurance stuff, including helping me return my rental car. They left my car way cleaner than when I brought it. They even polished a mark on the door that I wasn't sure was there before my car went in the shop. Highly recommended. Services: Body & Trim , Painting

Nikokar, Shams: The most expensive MD inspection $99.9 place, spent 4hours after longtime waiting and came up it didn’t pass and failed due to steer has cover and nailed was on tire but it wasn’t flat. I can take off the steering cover it won’t be any issues and ask to fix the flat tire so they said charging for $49.99 I had to go fix it at Pros Tire for $19.9 only. The Pro tires & Auto is charging $79.9 and fixed my flat tire for $19.9 only. It was tough and disappointed from this place.

Alex Sviridovsky: Multiple positive experiences with this auto shop. The customer service is always on point, pricing is reasonable and up front, and it's very clear that they're acting in your best interest instead of trying to earn an extra buck. Very happy I found them. So far I've had tires, oil change and state inspection done here and each interaction has been great.

Ernest Davidson: I caught a flat on the highway and had to ride another mile or so until I got to a safe place to pull over, so I wasn’t sure if I damaged my tire to the extent that it wasn’t repairable. I took my tire into the shop and was greeted at the front desk by Wendy. I explained my situation, so Wendy told me if I was willing to leave it they can have a look at it and get back to me. Even though I didn’t hear back from anyone that day, I called the next day and spoke with Tamara, who was able to look into my request and explained that my tire was not repairable. I inquired about a new tire, but when she checked that tire wasn’t in stock. However, after I mentioned that the tire was less than a year old she was very helpful in recommending that I check with whoever I made the original purchase with because it may still be covered under warranty. I did that and it turns out that it is still covered, which will save me sone money. She could of easily tried to get me to wait for the tire to be ordered and purchase from them. Matthew Layton: Avoid at all costs! Despite clearly stating on their website that they install batteries purchased at their store (see screenshot), they absolutely do NOT provide this service. When I called ahead to check, the gentleman who answered the phone acted as though I was crazy. I have no idea how they stay in business if this is how they treat customers.

David Evans: Go somewhere else. The guys in the shop are rude and condescending. I wanted to make a simple return of an item I had just purchased. I had my receipt, but they refused the return. He made me wait and was not communicative. This is an awful shop. Just go to Home Depot and buy what you need.

Marsden Bigby: I will never spend a dime at this location again. They sold substandard parts and their employee, an individual named "Jim" responded with attitude and contempt, then hung up on me when I called to ask about the warranty. You are better off at an Auto zone. Stay far away. Poor parts, worse service.

After I tell him, he says, "it's over there". I head over to where he pointed and after no luck, I look back for some help and now he is on the phone talking to his girlfriend. The other two guys never look up from their computers....out the door I go, and head straight to Auto Zone, way more helpful, and even a little friendly too!

Tilly Lo: My old car was recently totalled from being rear ended. I managed to turn a sad moment to a joyful experience when I found a used BMW with very low mileage and at a great price. I have never owned a BMW, but I have driven one and usually a passenger of one. I submitted a request online for a test drive. Crystal contacted me the next day via text, as I had requested as my preferred contact method. She scheduled a test drive appointment and instructed me to see the Sales Manager who will then assign a sales associate to me. Upon arrival, Alex greeted me. I told him that I was told to speak to the sales manager. He took me to see him, and Alex ended up getting assigned to help me. Alex and I went for a test drive and he encouraged me to "step on it"!!! 😁 After the test drive, I asked Alex if I could do another test drive and this time, I wanted to drive it like I normally would drive a car... and we went for another drive. I really like it!! I told him that I need to make arrangement to drop off my rental. After finding out that the rental was with Enterprise, Alex told me that I can leave the rental with him and arrange for Enterprise to pick it up. The sakes manager stopped in Alex's office to see how I was doing. He was very nice too, and answered all my questions while Alex went to get the keys for the car. I was supposed to go back the next day to by the car, being Saturday and had a stressful week, I decided to go on Monday instead. I also contacted Enterprise and they were ok with me leaving the car with BMW of Fairfax. I texted Alex on Saturday, and he started the credit reports check on Saturday and got that out of the way. I stopped by tonight, and Alex patiently waited for my arrival. The car was washed and ready to go. I met Zen, in Finance. I really liked working with Zen who was pleasant, patient and never pushed me to buy anything. Instead, he explained the pros and cons to each option that I can added such as maintenance, warranty, tires/wheels coverage, etc... I mentioned to him that I wanted to get PPF and Ceramic Coating. He suggested that I skip them and explained why. So with the money I would have saved from PPF and Ceramic Coating, I bought the additional years of maintenance, warranty and tires/wheel protection. Zen also got me the best rate for my loan! After financing was done, he took me back to Alex, who has the BMW gifts in hands for me. I love presents!! A box with 2 BMW keychains and a pen, and he also gave me an umbrella with LED light. Fancy!! Then Alex walked me to my new ride. During the entire buying process, I wasn't sure if I made the right decision... but when I set eyes on my new ride, it was love at first sight!!! I think I might just been converted from customer of Infiniti for life to customer BMW for life. ❤️ i love that I was just buying a used car, nothing famcy or too expensive, and yet, I was treated like a valuable customer. I really appreciate it. I will definitely come back in the future, and highly recommend this dealership.

Sean Hickman: BMW of Fairfax is hands down the best dealership around. I went there this past weekend to look at a used Explorer. I was met by Erick Bautista. He provided the best customer service and made the purchase of the Explorer a stress free experience. If you need a car ask for Erick Bautista. Jonas Hirshfield: What a great experience. This is my 2nd BMW purchase from BMW of Fairfax and I highly recommend. While there are many BMW dealers in the DMV area, I find BMW of Fairfax to be the best at customer service, price and delivery. The salesman that I worked with was Alex Yakovlev and would highly recommend Alex as well. Buying a car in 2022 is not easy with low inventory & high prices however Alex & BMW of Fairfax gave me the best deal. I did a custom order and did have to wait a few months however Alex was great on giving delivery updates. When the car arrived, Alex ensured the closing process was seamless and ensured that before I drove off, I fully understood all the enhanced features of the car. He spent a good amount of time with me customizing the settings to my preferences. White Glove Service at it’s finest. Thank you Alex Yakovlev and BMW of Fairfax. Rich Argenbright: Not one to write reviews but this needs to be shared. BMW of Fairfax was very responsive when I contacted them in reference to a Jeep Wrangler they had on their lot. Drove 2+ hours to the dealership, took the Jeep for a test drive and noticed it was a little off but figured it needed aligned and decided to make the purchase, which went smoothly. On the drive home once I got on the interstate and at a higher speed the Jeep was all over the road almost uncontrollably. The next day I took it to a Jeep dealer thinking again an alignment. I was wrong the upper and lower ball joints needed replaced and a steering stabilizer. Which if I don't recall legally should have been caught during their "recent" VA state 1/22 inspection. I kindly sent a picture of the quote from the Jeep dealer via email to the BMW dealership and also called and left a message on a mangers voice-mail asking them to make it right and they completely ghosted me I never received 1 response. In the 1 week I have had the Jeep we have found several other major things that needs repaired before it can even be driven safely. With my experience here and lack of communication, not even a response to the issues, I would go to one of the many other dealerships in the area. That is correct Mike, your team reached out to me today and are communicating with me to address these issues. Much appreciated. Was contacted by Rick of BMW of Fairfax, who worked with me to make this situation right. The dealership stayed true to their word and followed through, which I am greatly appreciative of. Mallory Mecklenburg: I would give this place a negative rating if I could. This was the worst car-related experience I've ever had. I requested an oil change and 21 point inspection this past January. Despite having an appointment, they took 2 hours to service my car without ever calling to tell me my car was finished (I was at the coffee shop next door and went back to the shop only to find my car sitting idle in the parking lot). The following day, I was two hours into a 6 hour road trip before my low tire pressure light came on. I pulled over into a gas station only to find my tires were all half the ideal PSI, meaning the mechanic didn't fill up my tires. An hour after filling my tires, I started to smell gas whenever I stopped, but I figured it was just because I was around other cars on the highway. Once I arrived at my destination, I checked under the hood and found the mechanic had forgotten to put my oil cap back on. Oil completely coated my engine and other parts under the hood. I immediately took it to a Honda dealership, where I was notified that the dip stick reported there was no oil left in my tank. I drove for hours with little to no oil, which must have wreaked havoc to my engine. After the dealership refilled my oil and cleaned off whatever they could, I went back to this location to report the problem. The guy at the front desk copied all the receipts (though notably "lost them," requiring me to resend them later on). The manager later instructed me that the claim would have to proceed via insurance. I sent her all required information and have not heard from the dealer nor the insurance carrier in 3 weeks to initiate the claim for the money I paid for the oil change plus whatever damage was done on account of this negligence. Unfortunately, the manager is only in two or three days a week, and so getting in touch with her is exceedingly difficult. This is made even worse by her refusal to respond to my emails or return my calls when she is not in the office. I have never been more disappointed in a service nor frustrated by that service's lackluster attempts at customer service. If I don't get a productive response by the end of the week, I'll be filing in small claims court. Stay away from this place unless you want your car damaged and money thrown away.

Peter Amirato: These guys tried to sell me brake shoes when I have plenty of mileage left on the ones I have. Then, they forgot to put a screw back into place when they reassembled my brake shoes which led to internal friction on the drum. I noticed a loud noise coming from my brakes so I took it back and said it sounded like something was loose in there. They condescendingly told me it couldn’t have possibly been their fault but ultimately agreed to diagnose the noise. The “expert” diagnosis was that I just need new brake shoes. Clearly they didn’t even look at anything! In short DON’T GO HERE!

Marley Frankel: AVOID AT ALL COST. My first ever negative review. I’m not surprised to see the other one star reviews below .. I have gone here twice for a popped tire ( I am bad at hitting curbs while parking !) both times they’ve had me get other services. Ok fine. I’ve spent THOUSANDS of dollars here and come to find out one of my tires they put on has a nail with a white box around it. I have two babies in this car !!!!!!!!! We also found out they sold us the WRONG tire. We bought a defender and they put on a premiere tire but “don’t know how it happened” they said they’d switch out that tire but not the one with the nail in it. I will update this review with a photo of the tire. I will also be contacting our family attorney. Do not go here. UPDATE: I went to pick my car up and they took out the nail and change the box to yellow.. I never authorized this. Dan claimed they changed my oil but my service light is still on so uh no you didn’t. They just keep lying. Dan can’t tell me how I got a Michelin Premiere instead of a Michelin Defender or how my car got a nail with a white square around it .. he literally said he’s gotten plenty of cars with nails in the tires even forks. Yes, Dan, yes but not with a white box drawn around it. Clearly they put the wrong tire on my car TWICE

Will Brower: Knew I needed 4 new tires. They called me after I dropped my car off saying their installation fee would be $350 for 4 tires - $87.50 fee per tire is about 4x industry standard. The actual tire prices were reasonable but I wish I read the negative reviews before wasting my time coming to this place.

Nicholas Carreiro: Same poor service at an increased price. Shop is unable to stay on schedule; scheduled tire mounting service took over 3.5 hrs. (2.5 hr. wait time for car to be seen). I brought my car in for a scheduled service at 11:30am on a Saturday. I waited there for 2.5 hrs. before they were able to get to the car and mount my winter tires. Over 3.5 hours later, they were able to complete the job. No communication from the shop about the delays. Lengthy service times is a common issue with the shop. In February 2021, I brought my car in at 8am on a Saturday for my scheduled tire mounting service (summer tires) and waited outside in the for 3+ hours. The car never went into the shop. I called and asked what was going on and they said that they "couldn't find their mechanic." 1.5 hours later, a mechanic showed up to complete the job. Mounting service cost Feb 2021 = $130. Mounting service cost Dec 2021 = $160

Thomas Ferrall: I should have listened to the reviews before coming here. Scheduled a safety inspection appointment online and even successfully called to confirm the time, date and location a few days beforehand. The day of the appointment, I walk in and am immediately told they don’t do any inspections and they have no idea how I was able to make an appointment. They even tried to make me believe that I had my facts wrong and I was the one inconveniencing them. Overall a terrible experience - definitely avoid at all costs.

Sarah A: I use to come here to get car serviced. Last time I went, they overfilled my oil (which can lead to problems). I didn’t care too much about that and get accidents happen. Today, I had an appointment for 7:30 am. When I got there, the doors were locked and no one was there. A couple of other people were also waiting confused.I waited until 8am but no one showed up and the store was closed still. Accidents happen or people can’t show up to work, but at least have a working voicemail box or alternative phone to call if this happens. Went somewhere else.

Arren: Got a nail in my tire and unfortunately it couldn't get fixed. They got a replacement tire the next day. Friendly service. I waited an extra hour than the approximate pick-up time but these things happen. I'm thankful i got to return to my car next day.

Amanda Collins: I hit a pothole and had my car towed to Mr. Tire to have the tire replaced. Unfortunately I'd hit a pothole 3 weeks before and had both of my front tires replaced (one was bad because of the pothole, the other was just old). When I got the call from Mr. Tire, the person I spoke with told me that all of my tires needed to be replaced, even though I had replaced the front two tires only 3 weeks before. I repeated what he said, you're saying ALL of them? Yes, that's what we recommend. I then told him that the other front tire was new so I didn't understand why he'd say it needed to be replaced. He had nothing to say to that. Clearly Mr. Tire is working on upsell and not for valid reasons, therefore I do not trust them and will not be returning.

Aaron Malcolm: Poor balance job on new tires cost me additional $89! Installed a set of 4 new tires for me. Installation went well, but very poor balance job. Started having extreme vibration in the front end at highway speeds, so I took my truck to the dealer for diagnosis only to find out Mr. Tire just hadn’t balance the new tires correctly. Dealership did the work right, no issues since.

I rcvd.$42 online discount & will rcv.$50 core refund once old part is returned. Price for refurbished starter was quite reasonable & $25 less than new part. The only reason checkout took awhile was bcuz cashier cared enough 2explain core return policy & took the same time to answer other customers concerns as they checked out. Can't speak 4all the locations, but it was a real pleasure doing business with this one.

Queen Jam & King Jerry Wright: Buyers Beware!! My husband & I live in the area. On several occasions we have placed orders online for in-store pick up. When you call in to verify they have the part the process seems smooth enough. Don't go into the store to actually get it!! After looking through their limited stock & wasting your time they come back to tell you to drive to their other store in Clinton. I have no clue why this place is still standing with the poor customer service, limited supplies, dusty inventory, & lack of appeal in general. I will never spend my hard earned money here or waste my time ever again!!

Cecilie Rohwedder: Over the years, Jamie and his team have taken great care of our vehicles. The quality of their work is high and their service fast and reliable, but almost more important is the personal care they tale with their clients. While the service departments of large dealerships take appointments and communicate with customers almost entirely online, it is possible to drop by Exxon for a quick assessment and speak to a qualified human being. They have also helped us with unusual problems: last week, for instance, they retrieved a ring I had dropped into the space next to the driver's seat! Kathryn Atwood: One of my tires kept going flat. I brought my car into metro in Georgetown and Jamie and everyone there could not have been more helpful. It turned out that it wasn’t just the tire, but the rim as well. I had a road trip coming up, so they patched the tire so I was able to drive, and ordered what was needed. I felt completely safe on my trip; I knew that Jamie, the manager, would not have said it would be fine if it were not the case. They kept me updated when they were expecting the parts, which, these days can take a while. They got my car in right away when the parts arrived. Gloria Smith: I moved to Washington DC from San Francisco about two years ago. When I was in San Francisco which was my hometown I had lots of trusted advisers including an incredible car maintenance garage. When I moved to DC I didn’t know where to go so I went to the dealer. I won’t go into the details but the battery cost some thing in the range of $700. Even I knew that was absurd. Living in Georgetown I had gotten gas a few times at Metro motors. I noticed tons of different cards and they always seem to be crowded. I figured this must be a good sign. I have never been happier. I absolutely trust Jami if he says that the car needs something I know that it needs some thing. Their ethics are outstanding their work is outstanding and I highly recommend them. Rodney Bray: My car had not started the day before Christmas Eve and I had to get AAA to jump start it to get home. Christmas Eve 2021 was on a Friday and I knew that it would be difficult to find a mechanic who would be prepared to check the electrical system, diagnose the problem and repair it in the couple of hours before they closed up at 1:00pm. My neighbour recommended Metro Motor. I rang Jamie (Metro Motor) and he very kindly said he would check the car if I brought it to him immediately which I did. Two hours later a new battery was installed (the old one was 4 years old). I am very grateful to Metro Motor for helping me in such a short time given the imminent business closure for the Christmas holidays. I highly recommend Metro too others. Service: Battery

Carol Ann Smallwood: Brian and Jamie at Metro Motor are amazing! They replaced my driver’s side mirror that had been knocked out. They had to order the part from Honda (which they did immediately!) and had it in the next day. They repaired the car within a few hours of the part coming in so that I could take it on a trip the next morning. Brian and Jamie and the other guys are so busy and work so hard at what they do. They are friendly and professional and simply know the ins and outs of any make of car. I have taken our van down there numerous times now and had a positive experience every time. I know they would appreciate my making an appointment to drop my car in but every time, it seems it’s been an emergency and I have just had to take it down there with little advance notice and they are always very understanding and respectful and just incredibly accommodating. Micheline DiNardo: My experience at Metro Motor was excellent! Jamie was very professional, knew what parts were needed to fix the car and took care of ordering them. It was a quick turnaround from the time he got the parts in to my car being completely fixed. Jamie made sure to follow up and make sure that the car was fixed properly and that there was nothing else that needed to be done. I highly recommend using this location for any repairs needed. E R: Great customer service! My car battery needed replacement recently and Advance Auto Parts in McLean did a wonderful job. They were quite busy the day I came in, seems as if many folks didn’t start their car enough during quarantine, but Paul took care of replacing my battery within minutes upon arrival. Curbside service and paying in advance online meant no need to enter the store, which is ideal during this pandemic. Thanks, Paul for your help and great customer service!! Much appreciated.

Nik W: Got a battery here barely 2 years ago. It started giving me trouble a few months ago. Took it to this store because it was a 'Gold' battery and had a valid warranty, they tested the battery with their own tester and said it was good. A month later battery started having issues again. Called AAA and they came out and tested the battery, said it was dying. They replaced it and the new battery works perfectly, no issues! I don't know if this place is honest...

Justin Zymbaluk: I had an incredibly positive experience at this location. I needed to replace terminals on my battery, replacement terminals we're affordable and the staff told me exactly what I needed to do for the replacement. I had to borrow several tools, which they had on hand and let me use. I got my problem resolved, and the staff was wonderful. Thanks so much!

Jill Arenette: I came in a couple weeks ago to get some supplies and was extremely disappointed in the customer service. They had three employees in the store and only one was helping customers. I asked one for assistance and he grunted and said he was driver and doesn't assist customers. So I went to wait in line and the cashier was backed up with 3 other customers so he asked his other coworker Brett if he could get some help. Brett responded sure "If there is any Commercial customers in line come down to my register". No one went up to his register and the poor cashier had to help everyone in the store while his other two co-workers sat around talking. Phil is a saint for putting up with co-workers like that. If I ever go back to that store and see Brett or the bald guy I will leave since they do not help customers.

Jennifer “Jen” Maltba: As everyone else has said, the customer service at the Advanced Auto Parts in McLean is outstanding. I had just gotten a new-to-me car and needed to get new windshield wipers. I went ahead an ordered online based on the reviews and one of the managers knew my order as soon as I said I was there to pick them up, took my wipers out to my car and showed me how to install them. Easy-peasy and so nice!! Will certainly be back to this store anytime I need something for my vehicle!!

Muzafar Umarov: I first called this place. The brake light went out on my car and I needed to change it as soon as possible. I called them and a person answered my call. He was able to answer my questions and told me that the car I needed was in their stock. So I got out and head to the store. I was helped immediately. The salesperson quickly found what I needed and I was out of the store under five minutes. I replaced the brake lights right on the parking lot. It was extremely easy. I will be coming here more often now. Good experience

Will Bellows: The staff here is extremely knowledgeable, both about auto repair and advances current discounts and promotions. Each time I'm there I get excellent repair advice and they go above and beyond to make sure I'm getting the best possible price. Cannot recommend these guys enough!

Kate vS: Juan is excellent. I've had multiple useful encounters with him; the latest was last Saturday. I had a friend jump start my car (the battery wouldn't hold a charge) and I drove it over to Advanced Auto. Juan tested the battery and confirmed it was dead (a 3 year old cheap one from a big box store), and made recommendations. He installed the battery for free and I was off and running! The next morning I rolled my eyes when I saw I had accidentally left the interior light on. And yet, the car turn right over anyway. Excellent work Juan.

Jordan: Great staff, they were very helpful when I was looking for a replacement CV boot and I have returned for other parts like oil/filters. I appreciate their willingness to check other stores or order for later pickup if they are out of anything. Definitely beats the Autozones/Advance Autos in the area.

Sky Walker: They got my Denso alternator within a day (purchased online, picked-up in-store). Quick, easy, friendly experience.

Daniel Walfield: They were very helpful in getting me a new car battery, and even loaned me a socket set to change it out right then and there.

Deirdra Hughes: Had what we wanted, but the only staff person who was pleasant was Dav.The manager was short when one of the cashier's asked for change.

David Hanley: The folks at this location were friendly, had the window regulator I needed in stock, and even offered a nice discount to help me out. I really appreciated all their help.

Alyssa Pagan: Wasn't sure if we were having battery or alternator problems. Gary was awesome and really went out of his way to help us out. 10/10 will come back for future auto part needs.

Paco Lito: The store itself is fine and and all associates are very helpful and professional. However, there is an extremely pushy and nasty looking bum on the bicycle was hanging around on the parking lot, offering any kind of automotive mechanic work for a very cheap price. Management should keep this kind of solicitors away from renown brand, isn't it ?

Josh Shampo: Matt Kim was phenomenal to deal with. I had a horrific experience previously with an Audi dealership in VA. Matt and the team at BMW of Alexandria were very patient. They ensured the car was perfect before I drove off the lot and answered any questions or concerns. They were straightforward with the pricing and didn't try to sneak in fees in the contracts like Audi Hampton. BMW of Alexandria is a dealership you can look forward to doing multiple deals with and know they will be fair with you. They walk you through how to maximize value with the car you are buying and genuinely care about gaining repeat business and referrals from their customers. Matt's biggest flaw is being too honest about issues with the car. He wants to ensure his customers are aware of every aspect, even if it is negative. You can rest easy knowing Matt has your back.

Michael Mills: Absolutely terrible experience servicing my car. I was traveling and had no choice but to go to this place rather than my local shop. Showed up and waited around for 45 minutes for someone to even talk to me. Completely dismantled service team started working with customers that were behind me in line. Waited for four hours for them to do diagnostics on my car $200 down the drain just to look at my car and they haven’t even done anything yet. Almost everyone I talked to were acting like I was hindering them, and I am a very calm, nice, patient person. Absolutely embarrassing transaction desk. When I am about to pay what I make in a month I don’t want to have someone point to a machine and be told “pay here”, I wanted to at least know what I am paying for and why it is almost double what was quoted. $100 in “shop parts” is egregious, I am aware of the work that had to be done and I am not stupid. Had to go through all the paperwork myself while employee behind the desk was 100% disengaged in the conversation. “Valet” guys keep it up, you made a mistake but you fixed it. For everyone else, I am human just like you are, and hope you will be able to understand that someday. It takes maturity, despite what’s going on in your own lives, to understand that there are actual lives on the other side of the table and not just credit cards. Thank god I will likely never have to come back to this place again.

Marico Hawes: I know BMW of Alexandria from Arlington at their old location. I brought my very old used BMW in at first until I upgraded to a used model from another dealership that was still under warranty. I could drop my car off and get a great level of service for free and a nice new car to drive while I waited. I wound up buying a newer CPO car from their new location in Alexandria and also got the same great service and a nice warranty. Things get pricier after the warranty. I would give 5 stars if not fior the high cost of out-of-warranty repairs. On the positive side, they will tell you all about your car in the process of doing a thorough diagnostics check when there is a problem. Diagnostics costs usually go towards any necessary repairs. The service techs, service manager and service director have all kept me with the brand and dealership for years.

Charles Dike: Worst Service Ever. I dropped off my 2016 X5 for an oil change a week before Thanksgiving and had to leave it at the service center for additional repairs the service tech recommended. Nearly a week goes by and I have not heard anything from the Service Advisor after emailing and calling. He finally emails me back saying that he made an error in order parts and that he will follow up an update the next day. I never received an update and because they gave me an X2 as a loaner for my X5, i had to rent a larger vehicle for my family and I to travel during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. I emailed the Service Manager with the hopes that he would be able to provide an update in the status of the service work being performed and an estimated time to complete the work. I never received a response from the Service Manager. I finally had to come up to the service center to ask for my X5 back and cancel any outstanding work on my vehicle. At that time the Service Advisor decided to finally inform me that the part was being ordered from Germany. That would have been nice to know when I left my vehicle nearly three weeks ago. This was a complete lack of communication and customer service. The only benefit that came out of it was that I ended up renting an X7 over Thanksgiving and feel in love with that vehicle and I know where I won't be going to buy one. BMW of Alexandria

Michael Posey: We set an appointment for Friday, 10am. We arrived between 930-945am. With the line out the bay, we waited to finally get checked in for a diagnostic with Greg. We were told we would be contacted with the results. Around 4pm, I called as no one had touched base or provided any update. I was told Greg would call me back as the vehicle hadn't been checked yet. I called back again at 535 as yet again no one had been in contact. At this point, after a brief hold, Greg went on to explain the items needed, we agreed upon what was to be done and he stated the car would be completed that evening if I wanted to pick-up on the same day. I said I would be there at opening on Saturday. I arrived at 8:38. I didn't receive an accurate update until after 9am and didn't finally receive the vehicle until after 9:15. Additionally, after finally touching base with Greg about the repairs needed, I specifically requested a discount on the parts due to the extensive efforts on my behalf to even get that information. He quoted us 5% off of the parts for the thermostat repair. However, upon cashing out, that discount was not present and the cashier had no idea what I was referring to. This is on top of being OVER-charged for the part in the first place.

Stephanie Saldana: It was my second time trying to get service for my newer vehicle. The communication is horrible. The service department doesn't return calls or pick up their phones. Even after giving me their direct number/cards guaranteeing they will be the ones I can rely on "next time". Receptionists (not all) but a few are rude, lacking proper customer skills. The cashier employee that tended to me was the absolute worse. Her attitude and overall demeanor....AWFUL. I expressed my frustration to the manager- Fritz. And wow! What a refreshing person to touch base with after a rough 24 hours of back to back poor service. He took the Time to hear about my unfortunate experience. He empathized with my situation. The ONLY reason I won't rate this experience as a 1/5 starts is because of Fritz. Now I'd like to see more people working just like him.
