Advanced Periodontics of Washington: Dr. Rustin Levy DMD, MMSc: what do users think?
Safari Raha: Dr.Rustin Levy an excellent doctor. When I arrived, I was greeted by the affable receptionist Ms. Kiana (sp). She was extremely courteous, friendly and professional. In other words, I felt welcome! She handed me a tablet to fill out and sign all the documents electronically - evidence of a dental practice that is equipped for the twenty-first century. She was fast and efficient. She quickly called my dentist who referred me to Dr. Levy for a gum issue and my dental X-rays were quickly emailed to me and then I forwarded to Dr. Levy’s office email. As soon as I completed my paperwork from the tablet (absolutely no papers), I was warmly invited in by Suzy (Dr. Levy’s assistant I believe). Suzy was impeccably courteous and made me very comfortable as she got me seated, ready for Dr. Levy. Dr. Levy walked in almost immediately and warmly greeted me. He is a very nice gentleman, extremely friendly, and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Levy is extremely knowledgeable and he thoroughly explained what could irritate gum - which is why I was referred to him. The office is extremely clean and everything looks brand new. Even when I went to use the bathroom down the hall, everything was very neat - I thought I was the first person to visit this office but it was 3:00 PM! That is how clean everything looked. Location is also very convenient. The parking garage is in the same building and I paid only $17 for 2 hours - a great bargain in DC. If you need to see a periodontist, I highly recommend Advanced Periodontics of Washington DC. I drove 2 hours from Stafford Virginia and it was absolutely worth it. Isn’t every reasonable person’s desire to deal with a medical office that oozes expertise and exemplary customer service? This is that office!
Sharon Jessup: Dr. Levy is an excellent periodontist, he is friendly and always has a good story. He puts the patient at ease. I had no discomfort afterwards. Kiana, his assistant is helpful. Dr. Levy has up to date diagnostic equipment. I highly recommend Dr. Levy and Kiana.
Nazir Bhagat: Dr. Levy was very professional and provided a thorough exam, confirming tooth decay but no gum disease—- putting my mind at ease. His assistant, Kiana was very pleasant and the office well run.
Suriya Jayanti: Excellent experience with my gum graft. Dr. Levy is awesome and obviously good at his craft. Moreover, he's not pushing procedures . . . he takes a conservative approach to treatment instead of recommending advanced (and expensive) procedures unless they're necessary. Kiana, his assistant, is lovely and clearly competent. Both followed up with me in the days after. Strong recommendation.
Heraldo Laguzzi: Dr. Levy is an excellent professional who takes the time to explain medical procedures to his patients in a clear way. The practice's environment, including the front desk, is very efficient and friendly.
Christina Handley: Highly recommend Dr. Levy. Tried a few other periodontists in the area none of which compare in quality of service and knowledge.
Deborah Owens: I had a great experience at Advanced Periodontics from the moment I walked in the door. I was greeted with a smile and my wait time was less than 5 minutes (awesome)! Dr. Levy addressed all my concerns and took the time to answer all my questions. I would highly recommend this practice to my friends!
astashia keels: Dr. Levy is a very good doctor I met Dr. Levy about five years ago and have implant on my front tooth he did the work he did a great job I remember going to have the work done and afterwords feeling so good about it I was not sore I wasn’t hurting and he called me every day to check on me. I recently went to him have a tooth remove he did a good job and afterwords I said to myself what took me so long to find Dr. Levy to do my dental work.I was referred to Dr. Levy by my sister-in-law.Gia Sander . She told he was good and she was right thank God for Dr. Levy.

sheila rodriguez: Efficient and professional. My hygienist made me feel very comfortable. I got through my deep cleaning with just a topical numbing agent. Would give a five for the nitros gas though.

David Yaffe: Needless to say, one does not go to a periodontist without some apprehensions. For DC Perio & Implants. those apprehensions are quickly dissipated. I was treated straightforwardly from the initial setting of my appointment for a tooth extraction (and start of the process to a tooth implant) to the day of the appointment. The front office was efficient and polite in getting me ready for the procedure. When I was taken in, the equipment appeared to be state of the art and clean. There were two assistants who prepped me for the procedure; were personable and clearly concerned about my comfort. They explained the process of the procedure and clearly explained the requirements and steps following the procedure. Dr Abron came in; was friendly and clearly responsive to my request for a description of the process. The anesthetic and following process were performed expeditously and with explanation to me. I look forward to the rest of the process culminating in the tooth implant.

David Zovak: The staff and doctors at DC Perio were polite, professional, and attentive. I've never loved going to the dentist and I was particularly stressed about having a tooth extracted, but the assistant that stayed with me the whole time and the doctor that did the procedure treated me with care and attention. The "laughing gas" was administered effectively and the procedure went without issue. I even received a follow-up call from the doctor later in the evening making sure I was OK and if I had any questions. While I hope to not need to have more dental work done, I can say enthusiastically say I received great care at DC Perio.
Anitha Deshamudre: Dr. Abron is very knowledgeable and very thorough! I was referred to have a separate consultation for my condition through my general Dentist. His staff made a smooth, efficient visit (including taking great Covid precautions). I wish more medical providers would take the time to explain the options in such great detail and present the financial breakdown in a simple way.
Jamie Nicholas: Great place! Went there for a gum graft. Staff did an excellent job. Very happy with the results, the price was reasonable and the staff was very friendly. They did a follow up call on the day of my surgery to ensure that I was okay. They scheduled follow ups to ensure the procedure was successful. The location was convenient in downtown DC next to metro stops. Would highly recommend.

Jennifer G. Anderson: I found DC Perio & Implants through the recommendation of my dentist, and had gum graft surgery here in June 2021. Dr. Abron did an amazing job! He even answered my text over the weekend when I was concerned about one of the surgery sites. The staff is kind and friendly, and importantly, they make sure you know how much you’ll owe out of pocket before your procedure. Would recommend!
Robin Schuman: If anything positive can be said about having a tooth molar pulled; unexpectedly it can be said about Dr. Abron, DDS, MD. I was his last appointment on December 30th -- he took extra time to complete what was not scheduled, did so painlessly for me. I was able to walk home afterward and healed smoothly, according to the printout I went home with. He even took time to call day after to check on me. Thought he was great, as was his staff.

Neva Vogel: Dr. Cram is simply amazing! Yes, I am grinning from ear to ear as my entire mouth, teeth and gums feel so clean and refreshed! I felt the difference immediately. Because she is painless the procedure was like a "spa service". Dr. Cram has a very professional caring staff as well. I will continue to take care of my oral health with Dr. Cram and her staff as it is essential to my health and wellbeing. It is a must!

Rekha Nadkarni: I had gone for a routine cleaning appointment. The hygienist was very thorough and gentle. She noticed right away that my mouth was dry(due to a medication I took) and further into the cleaning identified an area that needed more rigorous home care. Dr. Cram examined my mouth carefully after the cleaning and gave me a clean bill of health.
J F: I've seen Dr. Sally Cram for several years and give her and her office staff my highest recommendation. She takes as much time as is needed to explain what's going on, what she recommends, and why. She answers all questions patiently, clearly, and thoughtfully, so I feel confident she is paying close attention to my case. She never makes me feel rushed, and she talks to my dentist and orthodontist to make sure everyone agrees with and knows about treatment choices. She has even advocated on my behalf with my orthodontist, who was rushing through appointments and not answering questions in a way that gave me confidence she was paying attention. Finally, Dr. Cram's staff members are helpful, nice, friendly, and responsive.
paxton jordan: Dr Cram and her entire staff are wonderful! She has helped me for over a decade and is instrumental in my oral care. I was presently surprised today when she hired the dental hygienist from my retired dentist's office. A big bonus! I highly recommend Dr. Cram.

Carolyn Murray: I have been in the caring hands of Dr. Cram for over 30 years. She continues to care for my teeth and gums just as she did when I first saw her. I am 70 years old, still have all my teeth, no gum disease, one cavity, and an extremely healthy mouth. She says it is because I do what as she asks, which may be true, but she is the one who tells me how and what to do. I really feel I am her only patient. That is how she makes you feel with each visit. The thing I like above all else is her small, gentle hands that fit in my small mouth. I highly recommend Dr. Cram to anyone with gum issues. She will almost painlessly set you on the right track. She is the best!

Natasha Jenkins: Dr Zalewsky and his team are amazing!! He saw me same day. He took out my sore tooth immediately - no need to come back again. Dr Z explained everything to me and drew lots of diagrams. His staff were very kind and even looked after my friend who drove me while she waited for me. My dentist told me Dr Z was the best. And he was right! Would not see anyone else. And they even filed my insurance.

Wilma R: I went to Precision 3 months ago after I was referred by my dentist for a localized periodontitis for a tooth that was part of a bridge that had some inflammation and gum loss. The dental assistant started by getting a full xray of my mouth. I told the assistant I just had my oral evaluation two weeks ago where xrays were done so they could have just asked the xrays from my dentist. After my tooth was examined by Dr. Naru, she recommended extraction, bone graft then an implant. I asked if there is anything that can be done to save my tooth. She said I will just be wasting more money to do that and if I want I can have the extraction done that same day so I can minimize my trips to their office. I said I was not ready to have a tooth extraction that day. I thought I need to get a second opinion if the tooth really needs to be extracted. It is part of a bridge so extracting it means I will have 2 missing teeth. I made an appointment with the second periodontist referred by my dentist. When I made the appointment I asked if they need to take a full xray of my mouth. I was told that was not necessary since I was referred only for one tooth. This second periodontist said he will treat the gums to try to make them healthy. I had one laser treatment and the gums around the tooth have improved. I am glad I got a second opinion. This periodontist even takes my insurance and also participates in a dental discount plan I have which Precision did not.

Sarah Dunning: I’ve had gum grafts done on two separate occasions at the Alexandria office and have always had a wonderful experience with the staff. They are very professional and caring. Dr. H called me after each procedure to check in on me and made himself available off-hours for additional questions. When my insurance company messed up my claims or estimates, the staff at this office have worked diligently to get me accurate information as soon as possible, sometimes not leaving for holiday until they knew the issue was taken care of for me. Most importantly, my gums look great! I highly recommend.

Lindsay Guers: I have had two procedures done by Dr. Zalewsky and both times I have had great results. Both times Dr. Zalewsky and his staff were genuinely kind and caring, they were more than happy to answer the million questions I had. They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable during the procedures and reached out later in the day to ensure everything was okay. It was a great overall experience from the initial consultation through the procedures and follow on check ups. Dr. Zalewsky is very knowledge, he knew exactly what procedures would work best for my gum recession to ensure my issues would not return. I appreciate his honesty even though one of the procedures was more painful (traditional gum grafting), I was happy to know it would be a once and done surgery to fix my lower gum recession issue. My second procedure was the pinhole surgical technique to fix my upper gum recession, which I was so pleased by. It was a quick surgery with less than a week recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Zalewsky and his team for any periodontic work!

Eva Day: Dr Zalewsky is awesome, and all of the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. When I had aftercare questions, I was put through to a medical staff member quickly. I'm not saying I enjoy going to the periodontist, but this place definitely makes it as good as it can be. Great results too :)

Jonathan Berger: Dr. Levine is an absolutely top flight periodontist. No one is more expert. His staff are wonderful, too — Rachel, Yesenia, Nancy, Robin and Sheri are professional, helpful and charming. They make the experience seamless. All of this expertise comes at a price, of course. This is a Park Avenue practice, so expect to pay for the stellar level of care. I’ve had 2 gum surgeries here and never felt pain in my mouth, only in my hip (where I keep my wallet). That said, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Calley Asbill: Dr. Puterman is what is right with healthcare. He is extremely skilled, consistently voted top periodontist for a reason, and handled my very complex and difficult single front tooth case with a professionalism rarely seen. The part I will always remember, however, is his kindness. Needing this type of work is scary. Knowing his skill and experiencing his kindness helped me through the ordeal and provided me with amazing results. I simply could not recommend him and his team enough.

Nancy Palmer: I had a terrific experience with this practice just yesterday - a gum grafting that I was really dreading but turned out to literally be pain-free as well as almost PLEASANT! The office is beautiful, the staff incredibly kind and helpful - especially Alexis, Eve and Maci - and the procedure was fast and orderly - almost peaceful! Dr. Levine is attentive and so skilled and explained just enough of what was going on without too much unnecessary detail :) The after-care regimen was specific and successful in that I never experienced any discomfort. I'm so, so pleased with both the procedure and the outcome!
Nancy Berger: This is NOT a favorable review. After numerous implants placed by an implant specialist, and after extensive reconstruction, I was referred to Dr Puterman for regular hygiene care. For several years I was seen every 3 months by the hygienist, then once just before the quarantine and twice immediately after the quarantine. I requested Dr Putterman see me each of those times. He did not see me. At my last appointment, I pointed out a sore spot in the roof of my mouth, (both Dr Puterman and the hygienist denied seeing it – I have a photo taken less than a week after hygiene appointment) I returned to the original implant surgeon who discovered a considerable loss of bone support, threatening a number of implants and the expensive bridgework. I feel Dr Puterman ignored my situation and his lack of care and attention will be responsible for the loss of these implants and bridgework.. In fairness, Dr Puterman does not agree with my statements.

linda berkson: Dr. Puterman is an outstanding periodontist! I had a complicated case and he did such an amazing job! Besides being a great periodontist though, he is such a wonderful person. He is kind and caring and very patient and just an all round great human being. He made going to the periodontist a very pleasant experience. Everyone on his staff is great too!

Susan Treasure-McDowell: This office has the nicest staff! From the time you walk into the office, you are welcomed and asked if they can provide you with a beverage, they are very attentive. Dr. Puterman was a pleasure to meet, he has the best “bedside” manner of any doctor I’ve ever met! His knowledge and expertise in the field gave me peace of mind and it reassured me that I have found a great doctor.
Caleb Enjati: My experience with Dr. Puterman and his staff was quite an enjoyable one, from the moment I walked in the door. Despite having what seemed to be a nerve-racking procedure, the team eased the intensity by providing casual conversation, and even making me laugh a couple times. But not only was their bedside manner awesome, Dr. Putterman's dental practice was effective and efficient. He and his staff get the job done, and get it done well. I definitely recommend him and his office.

A: Dr. Progebin and his wonderful team have been taking care of my teeth for over a decade, and I could not be more grateful. After work by a bad dentist left me with a mouthful of very damaged teeth, Dr. Progebin and a periodontal specialist worked together for years to save my gums and teeth, and to build sound and good-looking bridges and implants where necessary.
David Weisburd: I had been going to a dentist for a number of years. During this last summer I was feeling very uncomfortable (and had been for a few months) and was told by a few doctors that my previous dentist had neglected a number of problems. Dr. Progebin was recommended. From the moment I walked into the office, I realized not only that Dr. Progrebin was an incredibly proficient and talented dentist, but also that he really cared about my pain and my becoming healthy. He put together a comprehensive plan, that included working with two other specialists (a root canal person, and a gum specialist). This is one of the impressive things about Dr. Progebin. He believes that he can't be the best at every type of procedure, and that other talented people will add additional opinions on problems. I began the summer feeling a bit hopeless. At this point I am feeling myself again, and I am confident that I am in good hands. Dr. Progebin is a mensch who really cares about his patients. And he is clearly one of the top people in his field.

Michael Weinreb: I give the highest possible recommendation to Dr. Kaplan, whom I visited for treatment of a TMJ problem. Her manner was more caring and pleasant and her explanations more complete and clear those of any doctor I can ever recall. She not only explained WHAT she was going to do and WHAT was going on in my TMJ and WHAT the treatment would be and how long it would take, but she also explained the WHY's of those things, and that was probably a first in my experience. Her examination was extensive, methodical, and leisurely, which made the experience a pleasant one for me, and it gave me complete confidence that her treatment will succeed. (Of course, this review is only of my first encounter with her, as I haven't begun the treatment yet. I'll have to let you know later how that went!)
Charlie N. PJ: I'm so appreciative of Dr. Triana, Julie (spelling?) and everyone at Dental & TMJ Specialists. I've been a long-time sufferer of TMJ-related issues, and I know I deserve better than a generic nightguard which can actually harm more than help. Plus, Julie and the hygienists can help maintain/clean my teeth and gums there, too, which is super convenient. Everything from the state-of-the-art equipment to their phone communications and convenient parking makes this the ideal comprehensive specialty dental office. Patricia Ritzenberg: Even though I love this practice and would not go anywhere else, I had a problem yesterday at my appointment. My appointment was for 11:00. I waited for 1 hour until the Doctor came into see me. I kept asking how much longer I would be waiting. They kept saying he would be right in. He never apologized when he finally came in to see me. They really should have let me know he was running late before I drove there. I only waited because it’s very hard to get appointments.
L Starr: At my consult with Dr. Singer re: my jaw problems, I felt lucky to have met him. He spent a remarkable amount of time explaining my problem and how his treatment plan would address it. It made so much sense, and I'm very optimistic. The staff were warm and very professional. At my new appliance fitting yesterday, Dr. Singer took extra time to make sure the fit was right and answer my questions. He's great!
Telo Braswell: I received outstanding TMJ treatment from Dr. Michael Singer. I went to his office with my jaw out of alignment and making loud cracking noises. Dr. Singer performed several stretching maneuvers in my mouth which were gentle and painless. The stretching did not immediately put my jaw back in alignment so he proceeded to fit me for a device to wear 9 months. Within two hours after I left the office, I opened my mouth and my jaw went back in place. The stretching had been effective after all. I had an appointment 2 weeks later to pick up the device that he made for me. Once Dr. Singer saw that my jaw was back in alignment, he concluded that I no longer needed the device. He never mentioned charging me for the device or any costs associated with making it. I highly recommend Dr. Singer. He is an expert in his field (I did the research) and clearly knows what he is doing. From my experience, he is dedicated to helping people, not just making money. You will find that he will explain every detail associated with your condition and its treatment. He is by far one of the most caring doctors you will ever encounter.
Liz Viernes: I'm withholding one star because I really don't like that they don't bill insurance making it one more thing I have to address in my already slammed existence 🤣 but otherwise, we have had great experiences here. The front desk staff is polite and efficient. Dr Triana and his assistant are *so* kind with *such* gentle bedside manners. His assistant communicates well about what each visit entails so there are no surprises and Dr Triana is amazing with my shy 10 year old daughter. We have to go back for multiple visits and I actually don't mind - even though it's a half hour drive from my home - because they are so wonderful and take such care with their patients. Maybe that's what *not* billing insurance gets you...if so, I'm here for it (and will think about adding that last star 😉)

Taylor Bouffard: I have been a patient of Dr. Bolding's since February 2020 for treatment of TMJ disorder. She is wonderful! I would recommend her services to anyone. Dr. Bolding has always been patient with me even in the early stages when I was scared, stressed, and had a million questions. She took the time to answer all of them and never rushed me. Her dental hygienist is also very nice. They make a great team.

J Bart: Finest dentist I've ever had, and I've had some great ones. Great dentist, great guy, great office, great staff. Every dental office should be like this one. Roy is a character, too. Alas, he has moved to part time and is not very, very far from retirement. By all accounts, his new partner is quite good and I would expect no less. Dr. Eskow wouldn't trust his practice to just anyone.
Betty Howard, BSDH, RDH: It is always a pleasure to see Dr Eskow and Sarah! They both are very professional and caring. They work hard at staying on schedule. I have not had to wait beyond my appointment time to be seen. I know my dental health is in good hands with Bethesda Dental Implant Center. Thank you so much!
James Aldridge: In previous years working with Dr. Eskow was great, he put you at ease. This time working with Dr. Yourself was fantastic, gentle with excellent skill. I was a little tense and she put me completely at ease, great heart, soul, and skill.
jane friedman: I saw Dr Eskow for a long overdue periodontal exam. As usual, his assessment and advice were well thought out. I had deep pockets in my gums. Sarah, the excellent hygienist, helped me understand by showing me the problem areas w a mirror. She numbed my entire mouth and did deep scaling for two hours, skipping her lunch. And then she wrote my after care instructions and explained them all to me. This is a terrific and highly skilled perio practice. The only down side: the price.
NORMA GARDNER: I accepted the recommendation from my husband Phil to have Dr Roy Escow extract and have implants replace two of my teeth. I felt comfortable the minute I walked in and sat down, near me speakers with low volume 60’s music was playing. Maria the reception greeted me with hello and a smile. (Thanks to a Covid mask I wasn’t sure about the smile). Maria’s hello sounded like a smile was attached. Next another Maria, Dr Escow’s assistant came out to greet me and ask “Are you ready? In all my visits, “We are ready for you!“ was never said. Next the very interesting,entertaining, and tall Dr Escow walked into the room. I know his credentials are long and impressive but he presented himself as a regular guy. I’m not sure what came over me. (Fairy Dust maybe) I felt immediately relaxed. We spoke as if we were old friends. DrEscow was very compassionate. He and Maria exchanged events and stories in their lives that distracted and entertained me during my procedure. I’ve met other members of the office team they were positive and very friendly. Recommending Dr Escow is like recommending your favorite restaurant to friends. Next time I go the line will be around the building. Oh well that’s ok. ❤️ Norma Gardner

David K: I give this practice five stars for quality of dental care and one star for business practices. I do so with regret. I have been a patient of Dr. Halim's for three years. During that time I have had several problems getting the office to submit timely and correct claims to my insurance companies. Of note is that the office does not respond on a timely basis to my inquiries and requests regarding insurance claims.
Helen Free: Dr. Halim does more than fix dental problems. He considers and plans for the future health of my teeth and gums which I appreciate. His passion for his work is palpable as he and his staff run a smart, welcoming, neighborhood practice.
Kristy Stallsmith: Dr. Halim is the best dentist I’ve ever went to. He’s extremely honest and up front and was there for me when I had an emergency issue. He makes sure that you’re comfortable during the procedures and does anything he can to alleviate any pain you may have. His staff is just as amazing! They always have a smile on their faces and make sure you have everything you need and respond immediately to any questions or concerns you may have. I’ve now found my forever dentist 😁.

Beth Thompson: Dr. Ross and the entire office team are exceptional. They have amazing attention to detail and go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with your smile. I needed a crown veneer after a traumatic fall that resulted in a broken tooth and couldn’t have asked for a better result. I can finally smile with confidence and feel normal again after a year of a discolored partial crown.

Emily Crespin: Dr Gouldin and his team are my favorite! Gum graft surgery isn’t exactly something I want to experience again but I’ve had it done twice with Dr Gouldin (and once elsewhere) and I can say he’s the best. He uses gentle yet state of the art techniques and I’m impressed with the results and speed if healing. Everyone in the office is kind, friendly, and helpful. I’m very appreciative of the care and attention and highly recommend Northern VA Periodontics.
Jeff Chirikjian: Dr. Gohel is a periodontal artist! His calming demeanor and patience in explaining the state of your oral health and any actions required to remedy it put you at ease. Moreover, his precision and gentleness made for a better than expected recovery with no complications. You will be in good hands with him and I look forward to being a patient of his for years to come.

Alessandra Benjamin: Dr. Garrett Gouldin: In a league of his own. I feel grateful and blessed to have received my periodontal treatment from Dr. Gouldin and his amazing team. As a performing artist, a beautiful smile is invaluable to me, so the anguish I felt going into the treatment was immense. Dr. Gouldin eased my concerns with his caring and informative guidance and his superb treatment restored a beautiful, healthy smile for me. He is an exceptional professional with years of knowledge and experience in his field and a state-of-the-art office, but what makes him extraordinary is his kindness and his ability to listen and truly empathize, and to offer a solution and treatment plan that promotes effective healing. What was even more unbelievable for me was that at no point during or after my treatment did I ever experience a single moment of pain. Dr. Gouldin clearly truly loves his craft and sees his greater purpose as being that of healing. I can only say that in the field of periodontists, Dr. Gouldin is a rare gem. David Grossman: Dr. Gohel and staff did a great job with the surgery and walking me through the post surgery care. I’m very pleased and would definitely recommend Dr. Gohel and northern Virginia periodontics to anyone needing periodontics care.
Anh Trang: Dr. Goulding is an outstanding periodontist. He did two implants for me last year and the year before and also for my wife. There was no bleeding after these implants that I was so surprised. The digital x-rays showed these implants were excellent. For each implant, he carefully evaluated and provided the detail procedure how he would do it. Then the office manager, Ms. MJ, (so sweet and extremely nice) went over each procedure and the cost of it. Everyone in the office was very professional and nice. I will come back again if I need another implant.
Nancy Greenwood: Dr. Gouldin is my first ( and only ) periodontist. My dentist recommended that I see him for a gum graph, which I put off for quite some time - fear of the unknown. The entire process was as easy as could be. The whole office staff is friendly and immediately puts you at ease. They understand that some people might be apprehensive about these type of dental procedures. In retrospect, there’s no reason to worry. Everything was explained to me in detail and I went into the surgery feeling very confident and comfortable. Pain was not an issue. The procedure was flawless. Even the recovery wasn’t bad. I totally recommend Dr. Gouldin and the staff at Northern Virginia Periodontics. I can’t imagine the process being any easier or better.
Nadine Cottrell: My first service/treatment plan with the office spread out for more than a year. Throughout the process the office team, the doctor’s assistants and the periodontist were very helpful and kind. The service was laid out in details and my doctor always willing to spend time answering any questions I had. Very friendly and efficient staff and during the pandemic the practice follows the health protocols accordingly. I am 100% satisfied client all around.

Let’s get into how amazing Dr. Bassily and Khina are. They were more than helpful, informative and did not make me feel uncomfortable in any way. Victoria Ouellette: Aesthetic & Family Dentistry on Wisconsin Ave is the most incredible dentist I’ve ever been to! Every staff member is friendly and helpful. From booking to insurance to the services themselves, I am extremely satisfied! I was able to get a desirable appointment time (4:45 pm) that works with my schedule. While there, I found out I needed 2 fillings. During the appointment, Amie checked with my insurance so when I checked out I would know the exact cost to pay when I returned. She also helped me find an appointment just 5 days later to get the fillings! Khina was an amazing hygienist in my cleaning and was very friendly. Lamika was incredible as the hygienist during my fillings. Both Khina and Lamika made me feel so welcomed and talked with me as a person, not just a patient. Dr. Obholz is without a doubt a phenomenal dentist. She talked through every step of both appointments. She helped explain every step that she took and even showed me the pictures of the teeth that required fillings. Dr. O also provided above necessary care in offering numbing gel when she knew it would be a painful area. She talked through what the process would be like at my initial appointment and the day of. She completed both fillings with no numbing and I was in and out of the office within 15 minutes. I felt very comfortable the entire time and I am extremely happy to have found such an incredible office right in my neighborhood. If you are considering booking here, I highly recommend!

Aisha Muhammad: Dr. Siddiqui was very professional and thorough in her exam. She asked and answered a number of questions to really understand my dental history as a new client. She has a very calm and clear way of communicating. They do not have hygienist so she does the majority of that task with her assistants doing the less technical components of that task. My only complaint would be too many different assistants handling different tasks. Maybe in general it’s efficient organizing in a compartmentalized factory way, but you lose so much on the interpersonal end that way. I had about four different assistants doing different tasks in one visit. I was almost x-rayed twice due to this. Maybe one or two even introduced themselves and acknowledge me by name. Others were less friendly and very happy it was Friday. I think some of the assistants are new to the profession but they would benefit with some interpersonal/bedside manner training or something. I think if they follow the doc’s lead they’ll be fine. Lastly, when flossing my teeth during the cleaning, the young lady pulled the string through my teeth versus fighting with the string to pull upward. I get that’s easier it but I think you get more material out if you pull upwards. Pulling the string through, I don’t believe, satisfies the intended purpose.
Jasmine Murga V.: From every angle, this is the best dental practice I’ve been to in a very long time if not in my whole life. This place just has a different vibration, something that sets it apart from other typical dental practices. I felt so well taken care of. I have honestly zero complaints, Dr. Nguyen is caring, clear, confident in what she’s doing and she’s s done a great job with my fillings. Thumbs up to the staff too for making the whole experience so smooth!
Hannah Yoo: I enjoyed going here as a patient when I had Met Life insurance. My employer switched insurance carriers to United Concordia, and SPA dental no longer accepted my insurance. Even though on the United Concordia website they are listed as a provider. When I called the office to point this out, they said yes they accept United Concordia but not for new patients. Which I am confused to as to why I would be considered a new patient. Extremely frustrating that I have to find a new dentist because of this and they wouldn't accept my insurance even though they are listed.

Brandy Ringer: I visited the office to get a general exam to get my treatment plan started. I was welcomed with a warm friendly greeting and promptly called back to my appointment. Brettany took my X-rays and was gentle and polite I usually gag and hurt during X-rays due to the shape of my jaw under my tounge. Dr. Smith was friendly and welcoming gaining my full trust for this process. Sierra: I was recommend Karl A. Smith by my primary Dentist for my surgical procedure. From day one his staff have provided superb customer service at both the Waldorf and Alexandria location. Today I visited the Alexandria location and had the pleasure of working with Courtney at the front desk and Kyler for my my actual procedure. Courtney was very welcoming and was able to multitask with checking me in while assisting a customer on the phone. At the end of my visit she ensured my checkout went smooth and quick. During my procedure Kyler helped keep my calm and even recommend a great place to get crepes based on our conversation of brunch ideas. Finally, Dr. Smith was also gentle during my procedure and very personal and showed he cared from start to finish. I couldn’t ask for better customer service.

Meron Solomon: My experience here was easily one of the top three dental experiences. I was referred here to take care of a tongue tie and the initial consult was on time, clean and direct. The front staff was so friendly and I was actually looking forward to the next appointment. Dr. Smith was reassuring and clearly knowledgeable. He explained what was going to happen and how long it was take etc. The second appointment was the procedure day. Shout out to Kyler!!!! Not only was he super fun to talk with before the procedure, he also give my some great podcast suggestions. There was one part during the beginning of the procedure that was making me anxious but Kyler was tapping my shoulder, keeping me calm. I didn’t even realize how anxious I was until I started calming down and I felt okay. That stuck out to me. Procedure went smoothly and post care instructions were reviewed. Dr. Smith was super professional and everything was so clean. The front desk checked in me at the end of the day and a week later I am good to go.

Beginning with the wonderful ladies, Hannah, Leah and Beverly at the front desk who are extremely accommodating, kind and friendly. Several times Hannah and Leah have contacted me when an earlier appointment was available, which I had requested. Beverly and Leah explained Dr. Smith's recommended treatment plan and the scheduling of upcoming appointments. Beverly further explained the breakdown of my insurance plan allotment and my out of pocket costs. MJ, did an outstanding job deplaning and root cleaning my teeth. She is so incredibly kind, caring and encouraging. She even followed up with a phone call later that day to see how I was doing. Now that's unbelievable! My recent visit entailed a tooth extraction, gum repositioning, laser and bone grafting. During the procedures Dr. Smith detailed and explained what he was doing at the time, as well as reassured me all was well. Sitaara Ali: I went to Dr. Kourosh Ardekani years ago and have since moved away from DC. I'm writing a review because it has been years since I've seen him and I've been to three dentists since then but never a better one. He was attentitve, transparent about cost/price, and trustworthy. Great dentist.
Sam Mengistu: Dr. S. Is a great clinician. Not only was she knowledgeable, her bedside manner is impeccable. I felt comfortable and at ease with her. She is very skilled and I am very happy with the work she has done. I had some crowns and fillings done by her and I am beyond happy with her work. I was anxious about the procedures and she walked me through everything from start to finish. I definitely would recommend her to anyone and have even brought my whole family and friends to be her patients. She is great! The rest of the staff is great too, over all I am very satisfied with this dental office and plan on being a lifelong patient here.
Rachel Schmidt: I really wanted to love DC Pearls. I have gotten so many recommendations from here so I decided to give it a try. The staff was phenomenal, and I felt very welcomed. However, after a very quick look at my teeth I was told I had four cavities. I have never had a cavity before and my teeth are in great shape. I was so shocked but unfortunately I trusted them. They convinced me to get one filling during my cleaning appointment, and then make a follow up appointment (with a $50 deposit) for the other 3. After I left the appointment, I began to second guess DC Pearls. I made an appointment to get a second opinion from my lifelong dentist. After reviewing my x-rays, they unfortunately told me that there was no evidence of a single cavity. As if an unnecessary filling wasn’t frustrating enough, it is still extremely sensitive nearly 3 months later. If you consider DC Pearls as your dentist, please please please consider getting a second opinion before allowing them to do work on your teeth.

It’s always a warm greeting from the time I walk through the door until I wave goodbye at the end of my cleaning. The dental team is thorough in ensuring that you understand everything about your dental health and if there is a problem they will discuss and provide all the options available. I’m so glad I listened to my mother and joined the DC Pearls family and my beautiful smile shows it.
Heather Mcdonald: The nicest dental visits I've ever had happened at DC Pearls Dental Boutique. This practice is pleasant and warm. The staff is friendly and competent. Dr. Ardekani takes time to explain various treatment options. When I have queries about pricing or plans, their office manager is always fast to react.
A FreeSoul: What an experience. I had thought I had been taking care of my teeth throughout the pandemic but luckily enough I decided to come in and see Dr. S 😬 It didn’t take long for her to sit me down and start the examination, as she went over my x-rays she made sure I understood what she was seeing and any questions I had she answered thoroughly. Once we got to the actual cleaning she made sure I was comfortable and stopped anytime I needed to to take a break. Ornela R: I did not have a good experience with this establishment. The dental assistant was more than 45 min late to see me. Previous to my appointment they wanted to charge me $220 even before I consented to have anything done. The dentist was very rude, brief and abrasive over a topic that should be taken with sensitivity and kindness only to go back to his desk and start using his cellphone. I do not feel like Could patronize an establishment that made me feel very uncomfortable, nor could I establish a long term professional relationship with a dentist that I felt could care less about me. My partner goes here for his dental care and so recommended them to me but neither he nor I will continue do so.

I am so impressed that I can have my teeth measured and set for dentures or veneers without having to wonder if it's going to fit my mouth. 3D printing all the way.
Zac Wall: I cannot say enough about DC Pearls Dental! Went in for a cleaning and dental check up. It’s so bright, clean and fresh. It’s a small office but instead of being cramped it felt cosy. Everyone from the Dentist to the front desk staff is so welcoming and friendly. Punita cleaned my teeth and was gentle and thorough. The visit was both quick and made with complete ease. I know most people don’t like going to the dentist but if every dental experience was like DC Pearls, people would actually enjoy going to the dentist.

Paul Mason: This dentist office is an absolutely true gem in Washington DC. I was totally impressed with the pleasant staff, and doctors at K St. Dental & Orthodontic. I got some x-rays, and a temporary crown put in on my visit. The air quality was superb and the office was tidied up and cleaned. You will not go wrong with this dental office. I’m a retired combat veteran, and I was very nervous with my first dental visit. I was at ease during the beginning to the end of my office visit. I left impressed, and I would highly recommend this dental office everyone that’s young and old.

Emma Silver: Absolutely loved my visit!! I signed up online the night before as a new patient, for a 7:00am slot the next morning for some tooth pain and I was freaked that I might have a cavity. Everything went smoothly and quickly (they had to fill in some sealant holes, no cavities phew!) and they even were able to squeeze in my cleaning while I was there because someone else had cancelled. Super professional and kind, very clean, and very efficient. Already set up my next cleaning and will be going back in six months!!
