Haresh Mehta: The store without a doubt lives up to the Leica standard. No rush rush sales pressure, no up-selling, just a fantastic educated opinion from Leica Ambassadors. I met with Christopher, he helped me trade in my visoflex and get the new one, completed the paperwork for the service of my m10R, while I enjoyed browsing through their gallery and books. Happy to buy from here and revisit.

C Davidson: Excellent shows and small gallery. Knowledgeable sales rep and they understand the Leica mystique. Helped a friend buy an M10 here with a 50 Summicron and used 28 Elmarit. The Elmarit looked brand new.

Gary Mintz: I bough a Q2M from this store - paying a premium price in the assumption that they would provide premium customer support. Wrong. Even though I was advised to call in with any questions, two days ago I was blown off by the individual who answered the phone. Not only was he "not knowledgeable," but he did not even take the time to understand my question and the advice he gave was counter productive. Hugely disappointing to say the least. Next time I will buy from Amazon or BandH and use online forums for help when needed. In fact, I got better advice from the FACEBOOK Q2M use group. Paying list price at the Leica store in DC was a waste of money.

jamari jay: came in to get some 35mm film. they had a good selection of film at reasonable prices (2 rolls of Portra 160 for ~$21) and they had a great selection of new and used cameras that i couldn't afford even if i dreamed about it the people working there are awesome as they're super duper helpful and friendly. they even invited to demo some of their cameras and their insane bincoulars! would recommend

Richard Burg: A great store with great products and a superb staff. Each member of the staff is an accomplished photographer who willingly shares knowledge and technique. Particularly recommended is the individual photography classes offered by David Bickley.

Adriana Nateal Hammond: What I like about DC is how willing the staff is to explain anything technical you might want to know about using film. The only thing I'm not excited about is pricing and the lack of a detailed oriented approach to film development. For example, I had film developed and they didn't digitally convert all of my images. I was comparing the negatives to my digitals and some were missing. They were nice about it and asked me to come back in but I live NW so it's a bit of a trek. For how much you pay, it would be nice if they just did it right the first time.

Suzy Fitzgerald: I love District Camera! When I was living in DC this was the only place that I would get my film developed. Syed is the best, he is so friendly and answers all my camera and film questions! The scanning and development process is timely and the quality is very good. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to get film developed!

Demna Devdariani: Today, I went to the store to look for a battery for my flashlight. Ken, who was sitting beside the computer, helped me find out which exact battery I needed. He was very kind, professional, and genuinely cared about finding the item even though the store did not carry that particular battery. He spent around 15-20 minutes looking for the item online for me. He was the most genuine and helpful store associate I have interacted with in recent years.

Laura McQuade: Cannot recommend this place enough! I was visiting from the UK and needed film developing before my flight back. These guys developed and scanned 7 rolls over a week and each time, I got the scans emailed to me within two days. Such a lovely experience and Marvin is the absolute best. I've always struggled loading film into my manual camera and Marvin helped me do this with my new one. Most people just do it for you and don't talk you through the process, but he did and even took the time to watch me do it a few times just to make sure I was confident. Can't recommend this place enough and excited to visit again when I'm across the pond!

Emma K Alexandra: I’ve purchased many items from District Camera including a camera and lens. The quality of the products new and used has been fantastic. However, when I rented a lens for the weekend my experience was absolutely horrible. District camera has two account systems. One for their shop and one for rentals. Rentals require an ID, which is reasonable. This is tricky for me since I am transgender and my legal name does not match the name I use. When purchasing items I use my account with my preferred name on it. When I signed up to rent I used my legal name, so it matched my ID. I didn’t want any issues. I was able to rent the lens. But when I returned it I started to have issues. The person I returned the lens to asked if they could change the name on both of my accounts. I said no. I’d like to have my preferred name used on my store account. The person then said he was confused and it would be easier if they changed the name on both accounts and did it anyway. Despite me asking them not to. Now, I’m faced with having to use my legal name when I purchase anything from District Camera. This is awkward and embarrassing. It makes me never want to purchase from District Camera again. This experience shows that District Camera is not a trans friendly business and does not respect even the basic dignity of trans people. I tried my best to make this experience quick and simple and I came out of my rental never wanting to purchase from District Camera again. Very disappointing behavior. If District Camera wants to improve their respect for trans customers they need to allow the use of trans people’s preferred names and only require the usage of a legal name where absolutely necessary, like matching an ID. Their employees need to understand that not everyone wants their legal name used all of the time. And they certainly need to stop changing the names of trans people’s account to their legal name when specifically asked not to. Update 5/2/22: I understand that District Camera must accept an ID. That is not my issue. My issue is that my name was changed *in another account* for no apparent reason, even when I asked the person not to. I had to explain to the person I was working with my gender in front of many other customers

Cynthia Loaiza-Shipp: I have only positive things to say of District Camera and Imaging! I've been going to this location for over a year now to get my camera cleaned and they are always so professional and punctual with their work. Today I needed a small accessory to turn my tripod into a sort of light stand so I went into the store. The service I received was above and beyond and I honestly cannot remember the last time I was served so well by any business! Even thought the part I was looking for was relatively inexpensive (about $10) Ken went out of his way to help me find the accessory. While Ken was helping me find what I was looking for Marvin and Syed asked me more questions about the lighting set up I was trying to work. Through a series of question, they helped me realize the amount of weight I was trying to put on a tripod would probably not work as the setup would be unstable and possibly unsafe. They helped me figure out that what I was actually looking for was a travel light stand. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the travel light stand that I needed, however this did not stop them from continuing to help me. They contacted another local camera store and after finding out they were sold out as well went as far as to contact a local camera store in San Jose, CA which is where I will be traveling to for my shoot. This entire team went above and beyond just as they always do and it made me realize it was about time I came and left them a review. Thank you Ken, Marvin and Syed! I am so thankful to have District Camera in DC and to be able to count on you all.

J F: I visited the shop today and I was greeted by the nicest employee, Ken! I was a little nervous to go in because I am quite a novice when it comes to photography. Luckily, Ken sensed my hesitation and kindly and patiently walked me through the entire process. I mean the entire process — film, shooting, and setting up my cameras. Also, Ken made sure to let me know what cameras were worth investing. I wish I could give this place 10 stars just because of Ken! I definitely will come back again !

Jon Bauer: In Washington for for a conference and found myself in immediate need of a card reader. Not the easiest thing to find. But when I googled nearby photography stores they came up. Only a couple blocks away. Not only that, I was met with most knowledgeable & friendly staff I could imagine. The store is stocked with new & used equipment. A small downtown oasis!

Alex Baughman: I am a regular customer at this location, but not one to write too many reviews. However, during my latest visit, the staff provided service that made it necessary to write a review. I was almost two months late to pick up my developed photos; against all odds, Ken and Deon found them for me after looking for about 20 minutes. To be clear: they didn’t need to do this; they simply went above and beyond. Yahya Aliyu: Recently got into photography and this was the closest pro camera shop to me, conveniently being on campus! I must admit, I've now visited multiple times and received arguably amongst the greatest levels of customer service from any establishment. All staff are incredibly affable, and the passion for photography in the atmosphere is almost tangible. Whether you're looking to buy something, get service, or just talk photography, this is the place!

Jenny Dopkins: The people here are very friendly and nice however I still didn’t have the best experience. I came in aiming to get rid of a specific spot on my camera and was told a sensor cleaning would probably get rid of it. I was later told when I came to pick the camera up that the spot was underneath the sensor and could not be removed with a regular cleaning. This is totally fine and understandable; however, I do not think I still should have been charged around 130 dollars for the sensor cleaning. I wish I would have gotten a call about how the specific spot could not be removed in which case I would have asked them not to go through with the cleaning. I understand how business works and that they may have started cleaning until they noticed the issue. However, to me it felt like a lot of money wasted. And as a student, I was not very happy having to save up to afford this and then spend the money with my problem still present. They are very nice though in terms of customer service although I didn’t complain about this in person so I’m not sure what they would have said.
Response: Hello Jenny, I am sorry to hear you feel as though we have let you down. Without going too far into the details, I am sure that the technician did a thorough job cleaning the camera however without performing that service we would never be able to tell that there is something behind the filter. Some cameras are designed with better sealing than other and some can be more prone to the dust particles penetrating beyond the reach of normal cleaning. It was a necessary service to get to the point of telling you what he did and it is quite likely that he said that in an effort to be informative. I can assure you that when you use your camera its most likely that you will not see the particles in your photo as you had before but we can go over the details with you in depth if you would like to call and discuss it or stop by. We can show you the process for checking your camera so you can always know when your camera needs to be cleaned and some preventative measures to take so it has to happen less often. You can call and talk to Sally. Happy shooting!

Gianina Lash: 100% recommend! came to them with a time-sensitive need for a battery charger for an older DSLR camera that we needed to use for an event 8 hours later. they helped us find a store that had the right type of charger in stock and charged the battery for us in the meantime. So impressed with their service and help when we were in a pinch!

Michael Sanchez: Brought in my Canon AE-1 Program to repair a jam, which they were able to do, albeit expensively (they were very transparent with costs throughout the process). The repair seems to have worked great, however the mirror is now extremely dirty, which is why I’m docking one star. Overall happy with the repair but definitely make sure to check everything before accepting your camera.

Elliott O'donovan: This is my go to camera store in DC. As a professional photographer, I always appreciate the hospitable customer service as well as the great selection of products that are competitively priced when compared to online retailers like Amazon or B&H. I would suggest supporting your local community and buying from ProPhoto!

First Class: I know they've been around for awhile, in fact I used them quite often as a BlackStar photojournalist during the 80's when down in DC on assignment, but I just got off the phone with them.. the agent said she never heard of "Studio Lighting", "Power Heads & Packs, Sales & Services, etc"... and yet they have the audacity to call themselves a Pro-Photo store? .... lol... more like a Wannabe-Pro-Photo store for local small format digital shooters and hobbyists. What happened guys?

Myi Oui: this was my first time at a pawn shop so i was nervous but it was quick and friendly service. sold my items and received cash for it and it didn't take more than about 20 minutes. if you don't want to deal with the hassle of selling online just come in here and get cash in hand, ofc you're not going to get nearly as much as if you sold it yourself online but if that doesn't bother u much this is a great place to go.

Derek Dissell: I purchased a watch at $900+ and wore it maybe 5-7 times. The band started fraying and I requested that they try to glue it back since a watch in good condition shouldn't have such serious issues so quickly. They flatly refused and therefore lose my business going forward

Francis Jafari: I have been to many pawn shops throughout my life! I’m a bit of a junkie for them. I love shopping there and finding great things for great prices. I will say crown pawn shop is by far the best I’ve ever encountered! Everyone there is so amazing and willing to help anyway they can! Just ask for mike and he will drop what he’s doing to help. He has always been fair and given me the best deals and gives top dollar for all my items. They also have a female staff member, mrs Jessica who has extensive knowledge of jewelry and can really help you with all questions you have and will work with your budget to help send you home with the ring or watch you desire! All in all this is a 5 star pawn shop and I would recommend it over and over again, so make it your first stop if you’re looking for great deals and great staff!!!

Thomas Tyler: Best camera rental house and service I've had. I rent cameras, lenses, all the support gear on the regular. They a deal with a G&E facility so you can have your lights waiting with the camera order. They've built lens collimators that are used by most of the other rental houses on the east coast. Can't go wrong

Jonathan Fields: Cap Cam is fantastic. Kyle Pallansch, the GM there, is totes mcgoats one of the most helpful rental house professionals I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Cap Cam has a very spacious prep area for ACs and Camera Operators to prep and check over their equipment. The availability of equipment for Cap Cam is ample, since they have a sister location in Baltimore (Charm Cine). I cannot recommend them enough. This is your place to go for renting professional camera and movie-making equipment.

Dmytro Bershadskyy: Capital Camera are SUPERSTARS. They went out of their way to accommodate the smallest order and make my experience as a customer smooth and pleasant. To be more specific, I was traveling out of town, so they stayed late one night and then came early on another morning, just so that I could fit into 1 day rental rate. So grateful!!!

It makes a difference when someone is there because they really want to be, and not because they have to. If you want a team that is super knowledgeable and friendly, I would definitely go here. Jim Agniel: Local enthusiasts are doing the best that they can. They sell on Amazon, but local pickup is a convenient option. The used lens I bought was in excellent condition.

Erikk Shupp: I understand this place uses a floor sales model and has employees that are subject matter experts on camera, but I can only speak from personal experience. Was looking to buy a new camera stand, granted I was in a bind for time, however there were only about 5 people in the store and 1 guy waiting to be helped before me. Took about 5 to 10 minutes for a store associate to try and help point me in the right direction. I had about 10 mins, knew what I needed but about 30 to 40 mins later, one of the associates had freed up and had to help the other gentleman, at which case I had to leave for time constraints. I don't know if it's the point of sale system or the business model of the business but you might need to staff one more associate or at least have an associate just for sales/quick transactions. I understand the business model but 45 mins with 5 people in the store isn't great throughput in my honest opinion. Had to end up buying from another vendor another day.

Each member of the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and PATIENT...very patient! Which was very important to me as I was trading in all my well-loved gear for a new set up. Cole Terra: If you are getting film developed, scanned, or just purchasing film, go somewhere else. If you're getting black and white film developed, don't expect to get it for three weeks, that's how long I had to wait some time ago for negatives that were just getting developed. I have gotten terrible and unusable scans far too often from them, where the images are scanned on the border, or the negatives are just dirty. I've cleaned and rescanned negatives from them far too often, especially with how much their development and scanning costs are. The selection of film they offer is pretty pitiful. I'm usually out of state and am used to a photo store that has any film stock you could imagine available, and where my presence doesn't seem like a nuisance to the staff.

They wanted to tag me with 15% shelving fee I'm the end he lowered it to 10%. I was there to exchange my a7c with a7Siii much higher price camera. I had only tried the camera in my living room but he said it's open box now. They also didn't tell me that they only have a 15 day return policy. Plus he said this new camera is a final sale. I don't think I'll be going there again at least not at this location. So I paid 10% shelving fee for a new camera I kept for only 17days plus gave them $3,900 dollar of more business. He also didn't believe me when I said I buy a lot from them. We come to find out they had upgraded their system 2 yrs ago. So probably lost purchases.
Response: Mr. Khan - we pride ourselves on customer service and have so for over 40 years. When you were here yesterday, i thought we had adequately explained the necessity of a restock fee. You purchased a New Camera - had it and USED it for 3 weeks. You then decided that you wanted a better camera and you wanted to return your camera for Full Price. As i explained to you, IF your camera was NEW and UNUSED - YES, you would have gotten a full refund. But your camera wasn't NEW and we can't sell your return as a NEW camera and it must be sold as USED. the Restock fee is NOT a profit center for us. It is to cover our fees to process your credit card and to cover the Discount we Must sell the camera at to the next customer (as an open box). You didn't have a receipt, Camera was missing packaging, it had hundreds of pictures taken on it, AND you were outside our return window and even with all that, We reduced our 15% fee down to 10% You seemed happy and even shook our hand. Not clear where we got apart on this. I called you to further discuss and left you a VM. Please feel free to call me anytime.

Tom Mills: I've never had a bad experience with the crew at District Camera; bought and sold a lot of equipment from them for many years and always appreciate their patience and time working to make the experience perfect. They don't upsell and perhaps most importantly, they love all things photography be it digital or film. As an analog aficionado, I am also happy to report that that they have a large selection of color and B/W film available in their retail shop in both 120 and 135 format, very nice given the scarcity of film nowadays. jingwatube: I believed those good reviews and went to the shop. I was there at least 3 times, most of them were bad experiences. Yesterday I was there to print pictures, 15 minutes job took me 45 minutes. Till the last minute the "technician" still don't know what's the problem and how to fix it. It was I - a client - suggested to him to use an extra usb flash to resolve the issue. I explained to him that I wanted passport like photos, even specifically showed to him what's the size of head in the picture that I wanted. Today I went to get the printouts and found those pictures were totally unacceptable. Not only the size of the heads were not what I wanted, but the heads are not even whole. They refund me the money of course with no problem, but they tared those pictures in front of me in pieces like those pictures meant nothing to me. Seem to me very unprofessional. I'm sure some of their works worth the 5 star those reviewers gave to them. But I got only 1 star services. May be they have double or even multiple standards for their shop policy. This shop always give me an impression that they don't care to have my business. Whatever I cannot do by myself, they cannot do neither or they can only do it in a ridiculous high price - or I better don't bother the shop. I regret that I donated some of my used and brand new camera related items to this shop. Most likely I won't bother this shop any more. It never happened as in their reply that "you would have seen the on the Kiosk before they were ordered/printed". If I had seen the output on their machine I'd never put the order at first place.
Response: I am sorry you feel that way, we try hard to help all of our customer with the utmost professionalism and go out of our way to be courteous and go the extra mile.. First, as a store policy, we we always destroy returned customer pictures before throwing them away to protect the privacy of our customers and the subjects of the pictures. We tried to explain to you that the pictures that you got, you would have seen the on the Kiosk before they were ordered/printed and that is what we delivered. If you did not like the option, you could have told us at the time and we could have made a passport like picture or custom picture for about 10 times the cost you originally paid. These options were discussed with you today, and It was clear from the conversation that you were not interested in any of them, and that is why we refunded your money without any questions. We try to help ALL of our customers.. that is our passion and our purpose and again, we sorry you are not happy with what you received from Dominion Camera

Sherry Garay: I am an amateur photographer and I used to drive out to Burke to another local camera shop. I decided to give Dominion a try, and I am so glad I did! This is a locally owned “mom and pop” business and it feels good to support a small local business, instead of putting more money in the pocket of a man who wants to play around in outer space. The staff at the store are super knowledgeable. One of them used to work for Canon and can tell you everything you need to know about Canon gear. They helped me make my decision on moving to a new mirrorless camera. I believe they are the only local shop that does their film developing on site. They also do black and white developing by hand. My prints look better than they have in years! They also sell an array of cool films to play around with. I picked up a roll of Dracula film from Romania. They also take passport photos and guarantee them as acceptable by the State Department. I also just found out their classes have started back up and they have a studio space upstairs they rent out. Seriously, if you are a pro photographer or just an amateur like me, then support this local business. This is a great camera shop, with just about anything you could possibly need, including a used gear bargain shelf!

Jessica Border: Who ever said the customer service was good is delusional. I went in to get my film developed. He asked me if I wanted prints or digital and I said both. He told me that he can’t do both and if I wanted it, I need to do prints first, then when I come to pick up, I can order the digital copies. He was so rude to me. I won’t ever come hear again, I was literally about to walk out from the horribleness if this experience, which is a real shame.
Response: Hello. I am sorry you feel that way. We can definably do prints and digital files to USB or CD but we no longer are able to combine internet uploads and prints. You see, we used to offer upload and prints, but then people never came in to pick up the pictures. When we called customers to ask them to pick up their prints, they would tell us that after after they saw the digital images they did not want the prints and told us to throw them away. since the prints were not paid for we lost money on the prints In order to keep our costs under control, We had to make the difficult decision to stop that combination. The good thing is that once you get your digital files you can go to our website dominioncamera.com and order the prints you want. Again, I am sorry if my staff did not explain this well to you but we are committed to help our customers at all costs. Mike Tike: Gary is the best. I was looking for ZV-E10 ( sold out everywhere you can check that right now) but I swore it was sold out. He told me hd actually had one and the color I wanted. He looked all over the store and finally found it. That’s customer service you won’t find at Best Buy. I’m so happy with my purchase this is the only place I’m going to for camera equipment and vlogging gear.

Some highlights: - Fixed my film camera for free after taking it in - Good film development and quick turnaround - Spent several days and hours going over a new camera to purchase. Daniel Ramirez (NiceWaffles): I've been here a few times, out of all of the camera stores I've been at so far. These have been the nicest people. That may not be shocking but if you visit some camera stores in DC, the staff aren't so nice over there. But these people here at Dominion camera so really kind and helped me select which lenses to purchase for my camera I highly recommend this shop! My favorite camera shop :)

Jim Arnold: I'm not a camera guy, nor am I that much of a tech guy in general. All I know is that I had a giant bag of film that I inherited from my late mother who never got around to developing it. Dominion Camera was the only place I found to help me develop/scan all of it, and their customer service and staff won me over the whole time. As simple as each transaction was, they made me enjoy stopping in and took care of me the whole way through (and made sure I didn't get charged for scans on blank film!). My bag of film is now empty and I wish I had a reason to continue giving this hometown shop my money; I really appreciate them.

sahra ahmad: I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while now. I love supporting small businesses, and this one is one of my favorites. It is right near my office and taking my film to get developed and print is so nice. I appreciate that unlike the big corporations (CVS, Walmart, etc) they only make you pay for the photos that they found, so if a piece of film was bad, they don’t charge you for a print of that. I also enjoy that it is so quickly done! Unlike the big corporations that take up to like 2 weeks, they took only a fraction of that time. The quality of the picture paper was nice too- I always go with a matte finish. Nicest people ever work there, and overall I would highly recommend! I know this sounds like a fake review, but I promise this is 100% legit. I can’t wait to take more of my film to get developed.

Cory Concha: Outstanding film processing, much better than any pharmacy service, and they're capable of same day service if you drop off your film by 10 am on the days they process. Definitely the highest quality prints and scans I've ever gotten and for the same price as the pharmacy locations who take two weeks and never return your negatives. With that said I interacted very sparingly with the staff and have not used any other services/purchased any other equipment from them, so I have no perspective in that regard. But I can safely and highly recommend them for film processing.

Feseha Ayele: I went to the best buy store which is located at Colombia height to get the phone that I paid online. They told me that there is activation problem and I waited more than 2 hours without any solution even the store manager couldn't solve the problem. It was a good deal that they posted online. It's really disappointing not to get any solution or reasonable answer about my order. Which is $999 online with activation and they told me to pay $1799 in the store.

Alexis Smith: horrible customer service. I wandered around looking for an employee to ask for help and they all ignored me. Finally someone answered and she said she’d send someone to the home theater section to help me but of course, no one was there. The Best Buy in Tysons is so much accommodating and friendly. If you want a good experience, just avoid this place

John Newman: Nobody asked if I needed help. I finally left and ordered what I needed from Amazon. Horrible location. Thugs and hoodlums everywhere. The whole place reeks of pot smoke. Frightening place. There was a "security guard" (I use that term lightly) sitting on level 2 eating potato chips staring at his phone. I was afraid I would be mugged or shot at any time. Avoid at all costs.

Ramona Killings: Even though I have driven past this place numerous times, today was my very first visit. I think my excuse has always been the fact that it's located on the 2nd level inside of a building. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. This place is humongous! I also picked up on the fact that there are a myriad of Associates on the floor, who seemed friendly and willing to help people. That hasn't always been my experience in the past at other locations. Perhaps the fact that I came here on a Sunday, and there were not that many shoppers inside. So I came for a cellphone, and a cellphone is what zi walked out with. I had been researching the Google 6 Pro that features an 8 megapixel camera. I bought it for right at $700.00 which I think was a decent price. I can't wait to start playing with it! Now that ai know that this place has so many more things to offer, I will have to come back here again to get more stuff!

I will be going back on Monday to retrieve my camera body and look forward to a long relationship with this establishment. Worth the drive... just a note, there is no handicap accessible parking if that presents a challenge to you.

Rebecca in Maryland: Looks like a creepy pawn shop from outside (fenced in). I was afraid to go inside, at first. There was one very polite and knowledgeable African American guy (I only described his race, so he gets the good review) but the rest of the salesMEN were uncommunicative and on lockdown (like I was in a spy film). Felt like they were not use to talking to females or something bad was about to happen. No smiles just too full of themselves to bother with me. I bought two very expensive lenses from them, two times, but when I tried to trade in a new camera body they gave such a low quote I was insulted. Surely they thought they could steal it from me. I was going to go back for a new purchase but thought, "Why would I give them the business?" So now I am giving them the business.

Tracy Porter: I highly recommend Royal Pawn! I cannot say enough good things about Rick and Nick! This was my first time meeting them and they treated us like they knew us for years. Totally honest and trustworthy and gave us a great price on a guitar because they preferred it go to a good home that would appreciate it and keep it. We were running late due to traffic and arrived just 10 minutes before closing. They did not rush and took their time showing us the guitar. They even took the time to remove the old 9v battery, install a new one and tune it while we waited. They spent a solid 30 minutes with us even after closing time. Although they are a 3 hour drive away, I am looking forward to seeing what guitars they have in the future.

Jessica Pena: Never had an issue at this shop until now and I am honestly appalled at the way we were treated today. Not going to go into details unless asked but the owner knows what he said and that was not okay, especially when I'm going out of my way to come in with my husband after he found gold and wedding bands he wanted to buy. The fact that a salesman would rather get angry for my husband NOT buying gold from another "client" is complete bull. Sir, get mad at the solicitor, not your customers. virginie gimenez: What a change since I went! The first time (awhile ago), it was only an antique little store and a big mess outside the building. I recently went back and what a great experience! There are two stores: the first one focuses on collectibles and the second, which is the building next to it is what you expect from a thrift store. The mess outside is gone. Wonderful and the people were super nice! From 1 star to 5 stars.

Catherine Palumbo: This place is excellent. It is wonderful for people who are transient (particularly those from other countries whose electrical items back home run on 240 v). I was able to purchase some great 2nd hand electrical items for a great price, although the Margherita maker may well bring me unstuck.... :) Also, lots of clothing and glass ware, crockery etc. This place is DEFINITELY worth a visit, and it is supporting your local military, so buy up big! I LOVED IT! From a very satisfied Aussie!!!

Grace Carr: I went with my sister to this place to check on her recent layaway which was forfeited because she missed her month of May payment.Company policy is if your layaway was forfieted they have to return all the payments to the customer and only take 10% of the whole price. This lady,her name is LUZ one of the sales reps in that store told us that my sister payments were forfeited and there's no refund. So I asked did the policy changed? What's written on the receipt is the store will only get 10%. She said yes and in a month. She was unfriendly and rude to us. My sister asked her why she's mean and she responded that my sister layaway record is bad that's why she is rude to her and she will be banned to do bussiness with this store, and she will put a note on her record.So I told her you cannot tell her that, that doesn't sound right, and she told me to be out of this conversation. I told her this is my sister and I am a customer of this company for so many years. She told me to leave the store as if she owned the store. I was so shocked that a sales person would kick the customer out without doing anything,she was acting like she was incharged.I told her I am not leaving and i want to speak with the manager, ROB. she told me don't talk to the manager call the corporate right away and complain about me! My name is LUZ! She was so arrogant,nasty and acting like crazy. Challenged me to call their corporate office. In my 10 yrs or more being a customer of this company I was never treated this way at all.One reason why i kept doing bussiness with this company is the staff in Silverspring and Gaithesburg stores are always nice, accomodating and friendly.this lady, Luz is so different! No respect to customers.She is rude, unhelpful and acting like an ignorrant .She even mentioned about my sister's layaway history in front of everybody. There was another customer there who was waiting to be helped and he heard everything. She must maintained privacy and confidentiality about customers bussiness and she broke that rule.I felt like we were harrashed by that lady.very awfull experience. Sgt. Quackers: My review is for the installation service. I booked the service online to install a Garmin camera in my 2020 Ford Explorer. Booking online worked fine. No issues, not a lot of available dates but it may just be because they are busy. I got several reminder emails for my appointment as it was two months out from when made it. The Friday before a Monday appointment they called me to confirm. They made sure I had all the parts needed and told how long it would take. Day of the started working on it promptly at my appointment time. They asked where I wanted it installed and provided advise where it should be. Once completed they called and I picked up my car. The wiring job was great. I can't even see the wire beyond where it leaves the camera. The camera is in a great spot, out of the way but also in the middle where it will capture the best video. I would definitely recommend their service for hard wiring a camera

rachel braley: I have been trying to get in contact with somebody from this store for over a week to no avail. All calls are directed to the call center, which would be fine, except no one at the call center knows how to transfer me to the store line except maybe 1 out of every 12 people. Not only has the call center been unable to help me with what I need (which is why I need to get in contact with someone from the actual store) they have placed me on the call back list probably 5 times in the last week and a half and I haven’t gotten a single call back. ONE person knew how to transfer me to the store line but when I called I was sent to voicemail. I left a voicemail with my information on the ACTUAL store line and never heard anything back. I cannot go into the actual store because I now live three hours away, so getting in touch with someone over the phone is really my only option. However actually getting someone on the phone seems to be impossible so I really don’t know what to do at this point. The call center itself has been a bit of a nightmare. They keep trying to find my “Best Buy account” except I don’t have one but they think if they look up my phone number for the 1,000th time it will suddenly magically appear. Talking to the call center makes me feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone with how many times I’ve had to tell them I DONT HAVE A BEST BUY ACCOUNT. And one person hung up on me when they were only able to answer my questions with “I don’t know.” Honestly ridiculous. I’m currently looking into buying a new computer and a new TV but it won’t be at Best Buy. I will be taking my business elsewhere due to how much trouble I’ve had to go through. It shouldn’t be this hard to talk to somebody in the store.

Dottie “Dottie” Mount: My Best Buy experiences have been hit or miss, but this location has removed any hesitation that I had about Best Buy. The young man that helped me, Ezra, was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and made sure I got what I needed. I was very confused about what laptop to purchase based on my needs, and Ezra cleared it all up! He stayed with me, shopped on BestBuy.com until I found what I wanted. His customer service skills are exceptional and made me feel like I was the only customer. His follow thru and patience are worth the commute to this location! Thank you!!!

Houston: Yesterday, I had a great interaction in the elcectronics (PC/Laptop) section of the Best Buy in Potomac Yard (Alexandria VA). I was informed of products, directed to the appropriate section, and escorted to the cashiers counteres by Jefferey. He was a pleasure to be around and was very informative, sharp, and gave suggestions for a proper purchase. Reanna Rousseau: I have to say very disrespectful management at this location. The staff was lovely and helpful but the short light skin women manager with the face piercings, with her mask underneath her nose gave me the worst experience I have ever had at goodwill. Her regional needs to have her replaced ASAP. You can’t make your own rules at your store that’s not in policy. You can get fired for things like that and she must be reported. This is a store where they take free items and mark them up for “Goodwill” to sell to the people in the community who can’t afford the regular priced items. If you are over pricing the item you are basically doing a disservice to the community.

Lea Sumlin: On. April 30. A beautiful morning. I decided to donate things, I don't need. My family and I went to the South Dakota location. When we got there, a light skin colored girl with glasses as the manager was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL We did not get a Good Morning. She WAS VERY UNPLEASANT with her Approach. "We're not open yet, did you hear me and we line up over here. I never opened my mouth but after her unprofessional way of speaking. I ask, " do you WORK here. "Am the manager". She is NOT MANAGER PROFESSIONAL. We left. I Googled Salvation Army on Kenilworth Ave. They were open and VERY PROFESSIONAL AS WELL. THANKS SALVATION ARMY. We were very happy when we got there and after we left.💯❤️❤️❤️.

Zh Ie: Purchased online from this location. The staff was amazing on checking the condition of the item after purchase, and as an added service on their end, they sent a few extra close-ups even after I had purchased, which was not necessary, but so appreciated that they thought to do that. Above and beyond service, and extremely customer-service oriented.

Andrew Patricio: Bizarre. Don't bother going here to donate anything except kitchen stuff or toys, (except baby toys they won't take). On the website it says they take clothes, furniture, etc and they used to but no longer for some reason. Any even toys they won't take anything "a baby can sit in". Ie no bounce toys, push bike etc. Wasted my time twice in a row. Never again. Just go down the road to salvation army or even better, the value village thrift store.

Kim Barr: I found some lovely things there the staff was very helpful and definitely check out the colors of the week sales. I was able to get a 15.99 suit for 3.99 because of the colors of the week sale.

Team World: Caĺled them numerous times over several weeks for pick up of lots of veey good clothes and furniture. I am leaving the country. They never called back.- couldnt be bothered apparently. SHAME on you, Goodwilll, aren't you supposed to serve the disenfranchised????

Janice Burrell: Called and asked if they accept books. The guy told me they did. When I got there the guy told me they were at their capacity for books. It was more like he didn't want to do the work to check them in. Every time I go there it is always a problem. They should tell you these things when you call. Since they don't I can only conclude that it's just a lazy employee. Extremely poor customer service.

solomon asefaw: I am writing this review to let Goodwill undermines its gools when it doesn't follow up its workers at the receiving and dropping gate of this location. Today at around 3:35pm when I came to donate, I was harassed by one Of the stuff at the gate. Goodwill should place professional stuff at the dropp of gate before it too late.

Franklin Owens III: I was there for clothing… but I can never pick out clothing in a thrift store, so I left with books. The store was well organized though. I tend to be a bit uncomfortable buying items out of thrift stores. I didn’t care much for the clothes. But there were other items in the home section were really nice. Everyone was nice in the thrift store. Even when I gathered a cart full of books and then realized I couldn’t use my clothing voucher on books😬😅

Lashonda Steward: There is always something going on in this store but I had to post this complaint. I stood line for at least five minutes. I watched three people walk past the line and went straight to the cashier posted. She looked at me and served the three ladies instead of sending them to the back of the line. The store was packed. I reported the incident to the manager and his response was "so what". I told him it wasn't fair for all of us who waited and followed the rules. His response was " I can't do nothing." He didn't even bother to tell customers that they should wait to be called. I'm know for sure I can donate and purchases stuff from other store. People shouldn't cry foul when they are committing the foul!!!

Blaque Love: Recently visited this lost gem that was super organized and well managed, but unfortunately I became frustrated by the style chosen to hang the clothes. Instead of the clothes organized by size as it used to be, they now just lazily hang them all together. I ended up leaving out pure frustration without purchasing anything. Super disappointed.
