Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

Sarah Jamesen: I have frequently had to endure more than one poke when having blood work done; this wasn't the case here. I also had a misunderstanding and failed to bring a printed copy of my test order. The lovely person assisting me was so patient and kind as she helped me connect my phone to their printer so I could complete my blood work. I wish I remembered her name so I could include specific thanks. Regardless, I am thankful for such a positive experience with what could have been stressful or futile, and I am thankful for and inspired by the patience of medical professionals especially in the current world!

Anthony Flynn: So i get there and there is a Kiosk that you sign in on...easy enough; then a prompt on the Video screen says my name and the 4 minutes wait...I waited 22 minutes and the screen never changed...when they FINALLY did call me back I asked how long it would take because I've waited 22 minutes (after the board telling me I had a 3 minute wait) and now i;m late for work.....she says..."i'm not with IT!!!" Ha Ha Ha...Are you serious or just a brain surgeon? I had to leave and go to another location another day because the lady is inept and completely doesn't know her job; and COVID is not an excuse anymore; you people gotta get your stuff together. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE. HORRIBLE AMATEURS OVER THERE

Kimberly Daulton: I have never been an easy blood draw due to some small veins. Typically I am poked multiple times to no avail so going to get my blood drawn brings up some anxiety. Enter Jamila (sp?)! She was grounded, kind, patient and got me on the first try! I will be going back for future blood draws.

Ken Ament: Very friendly, professional, helpful, hygienic, fast! Very nice experience.

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

T Reed: Showed up on time for an appointment. It was a standard blood draw test. They drew my blood, then after a couple of minutes of fumbling about with my paperwork, they said they couldn't send my blood sample to the lab because the fedex guy didn't come again until Monday. I of course asked, well why did you draw my blood then? No good answer....just incompetent. I agreed to come back on Monday. When I showed up on Monday at the agreed upon time, they were not ready to see me. So, I left. Don't bother with these clowns!

Ekaterina Seletckaia: My appointment was at 10:15AM. I arrived at 10:10AM and I was invited only at 11 :10AM. What was the point of making an appointment if I needed to wait in line for 1 hour? Plus, some people were way behind me and they got invited earlier than me. The nurse was nice and I almost did not feel the needle, but when she was switching the tubes it was painful, because she was moving too quickly and there was not a well organized space to make it the right way, so I will not feel this pain.

Linda Werner: I don't think I have ever taken the time to write a negative review, but I would like to share my experience. The technician assigned to draw my blood (I can't remember her name) was beyond rude. I noticed her hostile attitude when she was completed the initial paperwork (which was minimal as I provided all of the required info when I signed up for the appointment) and billing, and got worse when it came to the actual blood draw. It was appalling. I will never return to this location.

Matthew Madeja: Nerve was struck during blood draw and now I have a tingling sensation down my arm. Ominous to get blood taken from a place with 2 stars, but all QD places do. Apparently taking blood is difficult even if you do it all day.

Daisy Cortez: Worst place, they suddenly started making appointments mandatory.when you call their number it doesn’t even let you speak to a representative. How are people gonna know the changes if you can’t even ask. Staff look and sound like their tired of being their. And that’s why their business only has 2 stars

Sean Nayeri: Wish you never have to come here for anything. Worst people I’ve seen in my life. No sense of humor. And we had to be here for employee drug test. Awful experience. Awful…..

Lady Ravn: Went to pick up a sample kit for my boss, was handed a bag of bottles and no instructions, not even verbal. When I went back with the sample, i was told they could not take it because they expected me to know that it was my, or my boss's, job to sort the sample for the tests.

David Tilias: Had a confirmed appointment at 3:45, showed up and the doors were already locked even though they are supposed to close at 4:00. The nurse/receptionist saw me standing outside holding a baby for 15 minutes, did not even try to open the door. Can’t even call the desk, goes to a computer.

L G: It seems to be a trend with Quest. Each location has only one employee who seems overwhelmed and has an attitude. I have received better customer service at the DMV. Came with an appointment and QR Code my doctor faxed the orders prior - lab tech couldn’t find the order and kicked me out. Outside the door there’s a long line of people with similar issues. My doctor is refaxing the orders and I confirmed the number with the tech. What bothers me the most is the way they talk to you. It’s very curt and dismissive with the ultimate goal of convincing people to abandon the line and their appointments because they are short staffed. Go elsewhere if possible.
Response: We apologize if this was your experience, Lilu, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be forwarding this feedback to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Eric G: Weekend personnel clearly don’t want to be there and take it out on you. Was rude to me and the customer before me

Naava Ellenberg: All online information says there is a quest in this Safeway. According to a Safeway employee, there is NOT. I was unable to contact the store via phone and every search kept informing me it was in Safeway. Extremely inconvenient and disappointing.

Jacob: Showed up for an appointment and no one was there. Other patients waiting as well. No sign saying they were closed or had called out. Called the phone number and they said they could only reschedule appointment but not explain why the nurse didn’t show or make any effort to send someone else

Donald Harvey: One star, because zero stars isn't an option. I went into the waiting room, and there was only one other person wearing a mask and social distancing. A few minutes before my appointment, 7 non-English speakers entered the waiting room, including 3 children not wearing masks and running around. There was no staff to enforce the rule that a maximum of 5 people were allowed in the waiting room at one time. I'm not going back to a place that is NOT Covid-safe. Neither should you.
Response: We apologize if this was your experience, Donald, and thank you for taking the time to alert us to this. We will be forwarding this feedback to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Bessy Bonilla: I been coming here for the year. This morning I encounter the nastiest employee ever. It was too early for her to have an attitude. She asked for my insurance card. I did advise her I came in at least once a month for labs without looking in the system she raised her voice. When her co- worker came in and I quote she said " Machado I'm glad you came in, it already started " refering to me the client. I wouldn't come here of not necessary. It's t he only lab quest near my home.

Rick Hall: At approximately 4:40pm on April 27, 2021 (the very first 85* cloudless day of the year), one of their drivers double parked *IN THE MIDDLE OF RUSH HOUR ON GA AVE*. I wish MCPD was on-hand to ticket him. Not only is it lazy work by the Quest driver, it's DANGEROUS!
Response: Hi Rick- Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We will be forwarding this to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up.

Tonya Lockett: Very bad experience. Went in 1 05pm monday ladies at front desk did not tell me that they were having issues with codes to draw my blood. I asked what was taking so long since I had been fasting all day. The lady asked me if I could come back tmw. I said id rather do it today. So about 1 50 the tech stuck me twice said she couldnt find vein told me, come back tmw. I came back next day the same front desk clerk said we had to sign in again. I waited 20 minutes, then asked her to send my paper to m as in hospital to draw bllod She said, oh you are next. She went feom front desk, no hands washing, put on gloves, drew blood, then pulled the catheter out, then giggled and said, oh, i need one more vile. She was going to stick me again and i told her no. I was already sore from them sticking and missing yesterday. She was emotionless ane did not apologize for her error. Just cold and uncaring. I will never use quest at that branch again. Nightmare.

Estefani Flores: The service was great and super quick! They were very helpful and professional. Every time I would come, I am satisfied with the service. There is no complaint. They are very knowledgeable of what they do. I will definitely continuing coming to this location for any future testings.

Tatiana Redmond: In and out … very clean and professional

BC McLeod: I've been to this location multiple times and they are always on time , very nice and very efficient. The lab is also very clean.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback!

Kari Ardalan: Always an issue every time I come here from opening late to incredibly long lines despite having an appointment.

Deolu Kode: Automated appointment scheduler is very useless. You guys need a human being to pick appointment calls.

Nick Arrindell: Every time I have used this service i have been extremely satisfied.

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

Lynn Alshahrany: My advice: I urge you to go elsewhere. Like other people have mentioned, their check-in process is a mess. Expect to have a longer wait than the time you get told on your phone. I don’t mind that though it was a walk-in so mildly understandable. What isn’t understandable is the fact that it doesn’t seem like the phlebotomists here know what they’re doing. I got my blood drawn here two weeks ago and a very nice light skin lady took us in. She couldn’t find a vein in my arms so she just stuck it in a random spot and hoped for the best I guess, because blood did not flow into the tube for 5 seconds. She was fishing for a vein with the needle in my arm for 5 seconds until blood finally came out. Woke up the next morning with bruising and an unbearable shock that ran up my arm every time I’d try to extend it or turn it. She most likely struck a nerve and I dealt with that shock for two whole weeks. I have NEVER had this experience during or after a blood draw. EVER. I called the location and of course there’s no way to reach them because it’s an automated message system, so I called their customer service line and told them everything. They told me I had to call my primary care doctor and get help from them. Go elsewhere unless you’d like to deal with an unbearable shock up your arm every time you turn or extend your arm. They do NOT know what they’re doing.

Charles Sellman: The light skinned lady with the freckles was rude worked at an extremely slow pace took no consideration of anyone else’s time but her own. She worked as slow as possible for her not to do anymore work before the end of the business day. Not one time did she ask myself or the three other people if we were there by appointment or walkin and picked whom she wanted to call back. I am not happy with this treatment

Lucia Wessels: Always an awful experience! Doesn’t matter if you have an appointment or not they always late, never check on the patients in the waiting area. You wait forever and sometimes to be told they can’t help you today. I have been to other locations no problem but this one is the worst ever.

Alexa Dragoumis: My phlebotomist, Mo, was absolutely fabulous! She was extremely kind and fun to talk to. As someone who has bad anxiety about getting blood drawn, I really appreciated her ability to keep me laughing until she was done collecting samples. I barely even felt the needle! Highly recommend this location, and Mo, if you are lucky enough to have an appointment with her!

Tim: The people that work behind the door are phenomenal. However, you have to get past the receptionist who doesn't even do reception work. Waited for over an hour for her to even show her face, and that was after some lady yelled to the back asking if anybody worked there. Then she came out and rude is an understatement. This would be a great place if it wasn't for the fact that the first person you have to deal with is her. I recommend finding another office if you are able.

N V: They do not pick up their phones, ever. They cannot find a fax with the test requests from your doctor, ever. This is a deal breaker especially during covid when you see doctors on-line and they fax the lab orders in. Even though my doctor has sent them faxes 2 times during last month, I’ve confirmed with my doc’s office. You cannot see anyone at this Quest location without an appointment. You have to take a day off for your scheduled appointment. You come, still wait in line, and when you see a nurse, she tells you she cannot find your doctor’s faxes, and she will not spend extra time looking for them in their front desk because she is busy. They did finally find faxes for 2 on my tests (which were in a wrong fax pile they said), but not the faxes for the other 3 blood tests. The nurse yells at you right from the start. They told me to schedule another appointment (it’s available only in a week on their on-line system, you cannot schedule it in person) to do the rest IF, and only IF they find my doctor’s faxes. I wasted two PTO days on each appointment, and a month after I saw my doc, my blood tests are still not done because of Quest’s unprofessionalism and pure chaos at the front office here. I will never come back to this Quest location again.

Veritas Aequitas: There is NO WAY to speak with ANYONE at this office. So I'm going to have to physically go there. All to get verification that a fax order was sent there. I will not be happy when I get there. This is absurd. I think you've forgotten that we are customers requesting a service. Other facilities draw blood, and I'm sure they would be more than happy to get paid by my insurance company.
Response: We apologize for any frustration or inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Tom Prichard: They are careful about COVID using a free standing tablet to check in patients. I did not have to wait long. Mai took my blood and she was friendly and pain free. I got my results in a couple of days on the MyQuest phone app, which is terrific. The app graphs out test results from previous years, explains each test and gives a range for healthy readings. The only reason I did not give five stars is that my wife also had tests there, and she found the bathroom in poor condition.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Tom! We will be passing this along to our leadership team in the region so we can recognize Mai for her hard work.

Margarita Diaz: I have used this place for many years and it has always been great. I understand that people that has the ability to make appointments will go first and walk ins will wait. But is hard to get early in the day appointments so I take my chances and I’m ok waiting if I have to. But second time I’ve been lectured about having to have an appointment even though it clearly says that the accept walk-ins. Both times no one seemed to have been waiting to be seen that had an appointment. Apparently they are hanging their policies and will only see people by appointments. But I’m the meantime walk-ins are welcome. I don’t appreciate being lecture and made me feel like I was doing something wrong. I guess I will have to either make random appointments 6 months ahead or find another location where ImNot made feel very uncomfortable.
Response: We apologize if this was your experience, Margarita, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be forwarding this feedback to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Khalid C: Look let’s be real this institution provides an essential service that is vital to society and medicine whether it’s drug screening for jobs or for various medical practices for patients everywhere. The demand for the services that this institution renders will always be necessary regardless of its competitors. Even in writing this I still plan on using Quest Diagnostics services.I say all that to say this specific location is the worst QD I’ve encountered. I can deal with blunders, mistakes and mishaps… that’s fine no ones perfect. The last thing someone needs to deal with is to be ridiculed and condescended. I know nowadays it’s hard to conduct oneself with minimal decency and treat people with dignity and respect. Please don’t respond and ask how we can make it up and talk. You know how to already just do better.

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

Zenox: Awful experience. Staff was rude and slow. Something that should have taken 20 minutes took over an hour to get scheduled and pee in a cup. Never again.

Motown Indiga: Quick, pleasant and efficient registration and service. One star less due to the dirty secure storage bin that had visible debris at the bottom. I mentioned it to the technician because I didn't want to put my coat in there. She offered me a coat hook, but seemed a bit annoyed and indifferent. There's no telling what's been in that bin. If a medical facility is enforcing Covid protocols and sterile processes, please give enough of a damn about surface sanitation to present a clean COMMON enclosure where patrons are expected to store their personal items.

Larry Crews: Had to go for blood draw that I hadn't been able to make an appt for. Yet they were still able to get me in w/o too long a wait. That, along with a competent blood draw, made it a good experience

Jackie Leeks: I brought my son in to get a test he needed forCollege football. The staff there was very friendly and nice. It only took minutes for the test. He was told results in 24 to 48 hours I hope this is the case. If not he may not be able to try out this year.

Eva Soriano: I went today for a drug test requested for pre-employment. The ladies that were working there were really nice and helpful. Keep in mind that for the current situation they’re not taking walk-ins so you must make an appointment either online or calling their phone number. I was afraid I was gonna get a bad service according to the reviews but to my surprise my experience went smoothly. I was in and out in under 15 mins. I recommend this location!
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Eva!

E mayen: I came in to get an employer drug screen on 3/27/21 around 9:30am, this lady screamed from the back asking me if I had an appointment I answered not and she told me they don’t take walk in . It was empty at that time only one patient was there and they didn’t want to take me in . Please post online you don’t take walks in at all that way people don’t waste their time going there like I did it . The girl taking the temperature at front was helpful and calm . Thank you
Response: We apologize if this was your experience and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be forwarding this feedback to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Gaby Rivas: I came in as a walk-in on a Saturday morning. It was extremely busy but the staff was working hard to try to get everyone seen as quickly as possible. Erica at the front desk was awesome! She was very personable, positive, and great to communicate with. She managed to keep things moving without rushing anyone. Even with the packed waiting room, I was out in less than 45 minutes. Also- they HIGHLY respect appointments so if you want to be in and out, schedule an appointment.
Response: Thank you for sharing, Gaby! We are happy to hear your visit went smoothly.

Ljoy Battle: Fast check in, make sure you make an appointment! Great staff I just loved Tawanda and Ms. JoJo they are the BEST!!! I can honestly say this is the first time I ever actually had fun while getting blood work done.. Thanks again ladies!! Oh and other there is plenty of parking and clean waiting room.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback! We will be passing this along to our leadership team so we can recognize Tawanda and Ms. JoJo for their hard work.

Susan Ginsberg: I want to commend the person who signed me in, handled computer registration, and drew my blood. I came with a box as part of an NIH study; there were various instructions about handling the different tubes, and a Fedex pick up number had to be obtained for the specimens before the registration process could be completed in the computer. Despite the extra time and effort involved, Tawanda handled her duties patiently and verypleasantly, and we had a nice chat too!
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Susan! We will be passing this along to our leadership team in the region so we can recognize Tawanda for her hard work.

Robert Wayne: they lost my sample in the mail. its really hard to contact these people. they don’t seem to care how urgent your illness is. still, its marginally better than Labcorp because at least its clean and they don’t try to gaslight you.
Response: We apologize if this was your experience, Robert, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please contact our Customer Service team at 1-866-697-8378 so we may address any concerns directly.

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

julian duque: This place lost my paperwork for a very important test that I had to take. Had to call my primary care doctor and reschedule. They also only had 1 person inside the office at 9:00 am, and the line was over 5 people long. Don't expect to do any walk ins.

Igor Nedvaluke: Everything was quick and efficient due to scheduling an exact appointment date. Ebony processed all my blood work and drew blood - lol - first blood. But no she was awesome. Very friendly and just overall good rapport. Would go under the needle with her anytime 😎

D G: Quick and easy appointment. Blood draw was painless. I was finished in less than 10 min.

Jane C: Horrible management on a weekend. Walk-ins were taken before reserved appointment slots, resulting in delayed appointment. Not happy when one has to fast overnight. Separately, I needed to take two different tests. Test orders were not consolidated per patient (one was in their computer system, the other was a printed order), and I had to ask more than once for them to double check for a test order from my dr office. It was filed away in a separate location. Need to consolidate test orders for patients who come with est appointments.

Kris Pate: 69 hours to receive Covid test results. Find another lab if you want to travel. We spoke with customer service multiple times and were “guaranteed” our results would come in 48 hours. We rebooked our flights multiple times waiting for these results and ultimately had to cancel our travel plans. Even with the results, we were not allowed to travel. The 72 hour travel window starts from the time your sample is collected (nasal swab) to your departure time. Quest does not start their 1-2 day turnaround from the time of sample collection, but instead start the clock once your sample is delivered to the lab. When you need results, don’t count on Quest diagnostics to deliver on time.

Jay Levesque: Showed up ahead of my scheduled appointment, signed in and was seen by a lab tech within 1 minute and out the door within 3! Great services!

Natalie DeGraaf: Hunter was great! Just the right amount of conversation and appeared extremely competent in his work. Arrived as a walk-in on Monday morning. No wait. Quick service and the staff professionalism was top notch. Very clean facilities.

Derek Washinton: Challenges abound the Quest representative dealt with all patients with respect, care and patience. And, I might add she was the only one on staff today 12/28.

Pat Heflin: This Quest Lab Center is tops! It's a small facility within Safeway. Appointments can be made ahead but drop-ins are welcomed. It is a simple sign-in and you can shop while you're waiting to be called. I've been going there for years and have never had to wait with appt or w/o appt. I'm on blood thinners and in going to other labs (hospitals included), they'd had great difficulty finding a vein, as mine scarred and wiggle. I've left looking like a battered woman with bruises on both arms and excessive bleeding as a result My savior technician is BLOSSOM RICHARDSON. She's professional, extremely efficient, pain free and has never had issues finding a vein. I refuse to go to another technician and my SO teases me, but it's just not worth it. Kudos to Quest for hiring this amazingly talented employee who obviously loves her job!
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback, Pat! We will be passing this along to our leadership team in the region so we can recognize Blossom for her hard work.

Rebecca Dutton: I agree with other reviews- Blossom is the best blood drawer ever! She is so nice and has drawn my blood with no problem or pain despite me having issues other places!

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

J Wob: Due to various change in plans, I rushed myself over to this location to get my drug screening done for my new career on the same day I received my paperwork. I was told this location closes at 3:30 PM. I arrived at 3:14 PM without an appointment, and the system was informing me that I cannot be seen without an appointment as there is no more room for walk-ins. Tasha Smith however, came out to greet me and helped see through all my needs even though there should have been no time for me. She gave me very fast, quick, and efficient instructions on what I needed to do. I was in-and-out within 5 minutes and Tasha Smith was extremely professional and efficient. I highly recommend this place to get your work done due to the effects of Ms. Smith.

Anna Na: My experience this morning was pleasant. Arrived 5 min late this morning for an appointment, waited only 5 minutes. Staff was efficient and pleasant! Thanks

Deborah na: Prompt, professional, & helpful. I don’t understand why this location has such low ratings! They go out of their way to be accommodating, to the best of their ability. There is usually only one person working, & customers expecting them to do everything yesterday, so cut them a little slack. Make an appointment on line & sign in when you get there. You’ll be treated in a respectful & professional manner, & be in & out in just a few minutes. And if you’re getting a blood draw, it’ll be the best one you’ve ever had!

Dejean Holland: Keya needs to do way better if she wants to stay there. I had to reschedule 3 times since 8:30 this morning and finally got lucky at 1:15, only at another location. Time management, respect , honesty , and customer service. At least the basic morals of a good adult would work but she literally put my job opportunity on the line... i wouldn't recommend.
Response: We apologize if this was your experience, Dejean, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be forwarding this feedback to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Shonae Shonae: Keya was amazing.. very friendly very professional very quick and the wait was not bad at all! Highly recommend but I suggest making an appointment if you come to this location they are really busy and usually booked! She work alone so please understand why they do not take walk ins sometimes

Mstrudy Brown: The entire staff at the Oxon Hill inside the Safeway is very rude and unprofessional, I checked the website to see if I could walk in and got there and the yet I was turned away and; she had the nerve to walk away! I have used quest for years never had an appointment I guest it’s time to take my business else where!! I think it’s horrible to have people on your staff that’s rude and nasty, I recommend hiring a whole new staff and throw the current staff away, like seriously they’re customer service skills are trash.
Response: We apologize if this was your experience and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be forwarding this feedback to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Driver 92: As others have said the lady working there is pretty pretentious and can come off as someone that doesn't want to do her job. WALK INS will not be helped if she can help it. You'll have to make an appointment regardless what you do. Pick ANY other location, you won't regret it. She's trying to do as little work as possible referring us to other locations. I've gone to others and they have you sign in so that you can be put in line to take care of business. She'd rather have you leave and drive somewhere else then to do her job.
Response: We apologize if this was your experience and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be forwarding this feedback to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Kristina Rezene: It’s always good to read reviews. I’ve Been calling this establishment for the last week, literally everyday to get their schedule so I can plan accordingly. No one answered the phone at all! The voicemail is full lol.. it sounds like a cell phone. This is so unprofessional. I contacted my employer to see if I can transfer to another location and they said they understand because this location has bad reviews. Wish I knew before driving all the way here!

c b: Unprofessional , horrible customer service, and no real flow of business. Understandable we are in a pandemic and the flow of life has changed, but a few things haven't which is RESPECT AND GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Not sure if it's only one employee here at the moment but here is my experience thusfar, I went into the location looking for somewhere to sign in and show them my confirmation info and I was abruptly approached b y a female with a bad attitude talking about she at capacity and that I had to wait outside. Ok cool but be respectful. Kia better fix her attitude
Response: We apologize if this was your experience and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be forwarding this to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Aaron: Terrible customer service! The lady who was there at the time was extremely impatient and grouchy. Some people need office jobs if they don't like people. To the point where you can't answer a quick simple question without getting attitude. She acts like she's really busy when she's not. Don't go to this location because it's close by. Go to any location but this one!
Response: We apologize if this was your experience, Aaron, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be forwarding this feedback to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

saliem saleh: ZERO star for this particular location! I have never been mistreated at any other place like this one before- went in for a test and unfortunately, had to see an employee by the name of Nyheema Marshall, she was extremely rude, disrespectful and discriminatory against me! There was another gentleman at the waiting area, Nyheema was very welcome and friendly towards him- I will be definitely reporting this discriminatory incident to their regional office

Ashley Flesch: I waited over an hour for my appointment that ended up not even happening. I had to call the call center who contacted management just to find out they were closed all day. Didn’t contact me to inform me of the situation or ask if they could reschedule my appointment or anything in that manner. such a waste of time & huge lack of communication. Very poor customer experience.
Response: We apologize if this was your experience, Ashley, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be forwarding this feedback to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Anita Boyd: I had an appointment at 3:45. I received a text prior to click a link to check in when I arrived. I did this and it then said for me to wait in the car or in the lobby and I will receive a text or a phone call when they are ready for me. I opted to wait in the outside chairs. No phone call or text was sent to me. They closed at 4:00 so I tried knocking on the door at 4:02. Lady came out and claimed she looked for me. She put me electronically as a no show. No phone call or text was sent. I could still be waiting in my car for them. Policy needs to be updated and looked at. Stop blaming the customers.
Response: We apologize if this was your experience, Anita, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be forwarding this feedback to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Fran Canavan: What a wonderful service to have, especially during the pandemic…you aren’t exposed to a lot of people while you wait…although we were taken back immediately. Our phlebotomist, Chara, was warm, friendly, professional and she provided excellent service. We will definitely use this Quest again.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Fran! We will be passing this along to our leadership team in the region so we can recognize Chara for her hard work.

Sepehr Faridazar: I had the worst experience. The phlebotomist was so rude. She used to make weird sounds.I’m sorry for them. So unprofessional!!!!

Tatiana Reyes: I went in for a glucose screening test and was seen by a gentleman named Sal. This gentleman was extremely professional, helped calm down from my fear of needles, and had a positive attitude. Will highly recommend this location to future clients. The best customer service I have had in a while.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Tatiana! We will be passing this along to our leadership team in the region so we can recognize Sal for his hard work.

Christopher Kernan-Schmidt: I made an appointment for Monday, August 3 in the morning but when I went to the facility they were closed all day! I was told I needed an appointment for my testing, so I cannot just go to another facility and no other appointments were available. Wild. Clean facility and nice workers otherwise (from previous visits).
Response: We apologize for any disappointment this may have caused, Christopher, and thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us. We've verified that the details for this location, including the correct hours of operation, are available on our website at https://appointment.questdiagnostics.com/patient/confirmation.

KC Boss: Very clean facility. Been here twice since the Pandemic. There is only one technician at this location who handles the registration/labs etc. She was very professional and knowledgeable. This place could use another technician. Overall my visit here was great and went smooth.
Response: Thank you for sharing!

S D: I had a horrible experience at my appointment today! The phlebotomist working there was rude and very unprofessional. I have never been treated so poorly and I can't believe that Quest has employed people who act in such a manner. Well I don't want to be treated in this way ever again, so I'm never coming back to this location.
Response: We apologize if this was your experience and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be forwarding this to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Julie Riso: The Quest facility is clean and comfortable to wait in. The phlebotomists are kind, efficient, and extremely competent. I especially appreciate the work Jasmine does-she is wonderful. I definitely recommend this place. It is my go to for any testing.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback with us, Julie! Your review will be forwarded to our leadership team so Jasmine and the rest of our staff can be recognized.

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

Brian Copes: It was my first time visiting this location and I’ll admit it was a little hard to locate. I added a photo to show everyone the main building - 3833 Ballston Medical Center, so people can find the location. They do not list the suite number or location on the directory on the first floor of the medical building. Simply walk or get on the elevator to the 3rd floor to find the office. Outside of the difficultly finding the office, the check-in process was quick with a self check-in system. The medical staff was friendly, funny, quick and curious. I was impressed! Overall, if you need blood work done please give this location a chance. You’ll have a good experience.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback, Brian!

Saskia McDonald: I got there early and followed their virtual check-in instructions which said that I could wait outside and they would call me. When they didn't call me after my appointment time, I became concerned and made my way inside and found the location. There is no one in the location at the desk but there is a computer check-in kiosk. I went and checked in again (again, under the impression that pursuant to their instructions that I was already checked in and hoping that maybe it would give me more information about estimated wait time). By this time, it was about 15 minutes after my appointment time. When I used the kiosk, it said that they had cancelled my appointment because I was checking in more than 10 minutes after my appointment time. It was extremely frustrating to take a half day off work with nothing to show for it. I made an appointment at LabCorp down the road to complete my lab work instead. I won't make the mistake of trying to go here again.

Velika Peterson: We went in without an appointment at the end of the day to do blood tests for two of my daughters. Electronic sign-in in the waiting room was a breeze. Kirsten was very organized and efficient with the paperwork and Nurse Michelle did a wonderful job with the kids. We were in and out in no time and the children got smoothies as a reward from Tropical Smoothie Cafe around the corner - a win-win for everyone! :)
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Velika! We will be passing this along to our leadership team in the region so we can recognize Kirsten and Michelle for their hard work.

Anne Forney: Don't bother coming here for a CoVid test. They have you make an appointment online but then when I arrived their system was down and they wouldn't administer a test. Said the system has been on and off for a while. They are still accepting appointments even though they know the Nationwide system isn't currently working.

Daiqi Sun: I was sent here because the nurse at CVS could not get my blood sample after three attempts. Michelle was super skilled and got it fast and painless, also super nice and patient. Saved my day.

Melissa C: If I could give 0 stars I would. I had a test done that was supposed to take 2 to 3 days to get the results. The results have not been posted on my quest account or been received by my doctor 10 days later. They state the results were sent to my doctor but he does not show a receipt. After several attempts by phone call and online I still do not have the results after requesting the results be resent. When you call you cannot get in touch with anyone to discuss or it takes about 20 minutes to figure out how to get through and the people can't help you. This test I am having is very important and time sensitive but apparently they do not truly care about peoples health. The results I am awaiting due to something people have died from and I am here having issues and probably will need to be tested elsewhere. Not at Quest Do not go here.
Response: We apologize for any frustration or inconvenience this may have caused, Melissa, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please contact our Customer Service team at 1-866-697-8378 so we may address any concerns directly.

Siddharth Gore: It's on the third floor od the building. Convenient and fast with an appointment. I posted photos to make it easier to get there.

Zahra Gallagher: I arrived to my appointment early just in case and the nurse was able to take me in immediately. Once in the room I did not have to wait at all. I only had my blood drawn but I was in and out in 5 minutes. Erica my nurse was great!

Camille Lacroix: Excellent service in this Lab! Easy appointment scheduling through the website, self check-in at the desk and no waiting time (I arrived there earlier and I was received immediatly by the nurse). The nurse is really taking time to explain the different steps in the billing process, in the blood drawing and results. Total time spent there : 15 minutes. Overall experience there : 5 stars for the staff and the service!
Response: Thank you for taking the time to post your review, Camille! Your review will be shared with our leadership team so our staff can be recognized.

Benjamin Gotchel: Just walked out of the building and had to chime in - Erica was excellent! I walked in without an appointment at 8:45am and was seen immediately. Erica has a great bedside manner and put me quickly at ease, despite my anxieties related to blood work / needles. She was very kind and professional, and the process itself was quick - and I hardly felt a pinch. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Only downside is they don't validate parking, but it's only $1.50 for the first 30 minutes. Thanks, Erica!

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

Suzanne tarica: I'm very unhappy with the reception I got when I arrived for my appointment.. When asked if I showed any symptoms of COVID, my response was NO. I then said that I might have been exposed but did not know and wanted the test to be sure I was safe, especially since I will be traveling in a few days. I was told that the Quest Diagnostics could not give me a test and I was sent home. It was not clear why, but upsetting and ridiculous none the less.

Elijah Harris: This location is understaffed. Prepare to wait in line (no issue), however with the physician trying to manage specimen collection and sign in, people are often cut and skipped. It happened to me twice. You can basically walk in and sign into the touch screen without getting your temperature taken; while others wait. People who try and follow the rules are skipped. It happened to me twice. I wanted to get my temperature taken while another man walk in sign in and sat down. He was seen before me because he signed in. This is highly upsetting. I informed the physician and she still attended to the man before me even though she saw me waiting in line.

Jael Nantamu: Evalynn at Quest diagnostics was REALLY understanding and patient with me. Some information of mine was missing but she was patient and told me what I needed. She honestly TREATED ME WELL and that means A LOT to me. You’re amazing EVALYNN. B. 😀😀
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Jael! We will be passing this along to our leadership team in the region so we can recognize Evalynn for her hard work.

Joan Weber: I easily made an appointment online and arrived a few minutes early. The location was clean, no wait for my appointment and the staff person was delightful and thorough. She reviewed with me each of the labels before they were applied to the samples and her technique for drawing the sample was without any incident.
Response: Thank you for letting us know, Joan!

Charles Brooke: The worst experience I've had at 5-different Quest labs, over 15-years. They are closed for lunch from 12-1pm. At 1:01pm the door was still locked but both people looked at me with a blank stare...then made me wait another couple of minutes (there's no sitting space at Quest labs inside Safeway stores, unlike at other locations). Once the receptionist did open the door, she gave me the dirtiest stare, and simply grunted when I said "hello". Then she and the technician carried on their conversation as I was pointed to the chair. Although they'd been closed an hour, the receptionist apparently wasn't done eating and my questions were ignored. Parhaps this was an isolated incident but nevertheless, who wants someone with a poor attitude sticking needles in their arm!

Beverly Hill: First time at Quest. I got there when it opened and was served immediately. I have "bad" veins, but Evelyn was able to find an alternate site painlessly and quickly. Quickest and most pain free experience since my veins have been "bad".

Elizabeth Clare: I have had labs done twice with Evalynn (sp?) inside of Wheaton Safeway. It was fast and easy both times with no wait.

Vladimir Gran: I have difficult veins, so this is always my place to go for blood work. Ms. E is the best !

T G: I have always experienced prompt and courteous service here. Would highly recommend.

Starla Robinson: Grab coffee. Leave blood. Get groceries 😍

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

Shana M: The tech was fine at collecting specimens, but sent the wrong lab order redoing a lab that was done in November instead of the recent order my Dr had sent for a totally different test. What gives? Also, my account information was not accurate, not a surprise, but its really unlikely I was the one who put in the wrong birthdate for myself in the years I’ve been using quest. Having me verify only the spelling of my name does not help catch these kinds of errors. The appointment system & MyQuest system do not appear to link well which is obnoxious when trying to use this website to view results or appointment times. This is basic corporate standards of service in 2022-get better at this! They had old insurance in their system for my children, because their system didn’t have a name that matches my insurance company name well even though it’s BCBS, like really? So not being able to enter new insurance info only because the name of my insurer couldn’t be found is bananas-since they tried to bill a different insurance, with an old address & never asked for me to verify my kid’s info which would have caught the issue. So who knows where the bills went & there is no way to get in touch with the person inside the lab draw location because the phone tree is a circle of menus that don’t lead to the local tech. So much for keeping issue handling at low levels & providing direct feedback so that errors can be corrected for future patients. Just annoying & not convenient having a local draw station because of these things that fall through the cracks. Also, I got stuck helping the Safeway cart retrieval lady because she had blocked me in the elevator & the tech marked me as more than 10 minutes late to my appointment. I was early. Checked in by the link, got the text she was ready for me at 11:41 & was in her lab room by 11:45 with no one present in the draw station. I rechecked-in which of course is where I learned I had already been marked 10 minutes late for my 11:45am appointment. Sorry the Safeway store logistics made me ONTIME. I couldn’t not help the special needs lady huffing and puffing and slowly moving the shopping carts to where they belonged in the store via the elevator. My delay allowed her to get to a walk in customer which pleased him, but whatever. People’s expectations are what they are.

Jen B.: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD. Never in my life have I met a medical practitioner who is as rude, condescending, and unprofessional as the DIRECTOR posted at this location. I am completely baffled by the fact this woman not only still has this job, but works in the medical field at all! The day we had visited, my mother's primary doctor handed us a piece of paper stating we had to drop it off to Quest inside the Safeway location. Clearly our primary doctors office was busy, so we asked little questions and headed towards Safeway. The SECOND we step into the waiting room, this older African American woman yells from inside one of the medical rooms "YOU CAN'T COME IN HERE WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT." An elderly patient still in the practitioners chair, the needle just barely having left her arm. The practitioner comes up and I attempt to explain to her that my mothers primary doctor told us we had to drop this paper off. Within seconds the practitioner takes the paper from my hands, reads it, pull both the top & bottom of the paper to create an auditory SNAP in my face and proceeded to yell at me "THIS IS BLOOD AND URINE WORK. YOU ARE OVER AN HOUR LATE." Completely shocked from her behavior, I stutter as I attempt to explain to her that my mothers primary doctor only told us to drop off this paper here. Again, the woman yells "NO. THIS IS BLOOD AND URINE WORK & YOU'RE AN HOUR LATE", inches from my face (during a global pandemic may I add). I try to explain again, the doctor didn't inform us that we are to do blood and urine work today & they made the appointment 40 minutes before they even let us drive to Safeway which is why we are late. Instead of trying to listen or understand the position my mother and I are in, the practitioner decides to flick the paper in my face to make yet another auditory snapping sound and proceeds to scold us again "WELL THIS IS BLOOD AND URINE WORK AND YOU'RE LATE". Feeling frustrated, I use a more stern voice to speak over her, saying "AND NOW I KNOW THAT". She decides to ignore my defensiveness & motions to my mother that she can sit in her chair. After the altercation the practitioner takes my mothers blood & instructs her to go to the bathroom for the urine sample. The nurse approaches another young couple waiting their turn, only for me to witness the practitioner do the same thing to them! From what I can tell, the couple's doctor set up a random appointment & didn't inform the couple. It still didn't matter to the practitioner though! I stand there and proceed to watch the woman stand above the sitting couple, yelling at them just the same, snapping the paper towards the couple too! Unbelievable!!! Finally we leave. Being the protective daughter I am, I am fuming. One of Safeway's employee's let me know this woman is the DIRECTOR of the Quest Diagnostics at this location! It is still absolutely shocking to me that this woman has a license with the way she treats her patients. Who want's to be yelled at only to have a needle stuck into them?? I write this review a whole week after the instance in fear that the practitioner would tamper with my mothers samples. Luckily for them, our results did in deed come back but WOW! This mess of a visit was not yet over! My mother now has a bruise the size of a softball around where the needle was inserted. I attached photos below, yet again this is a week later & they are not as prominent anymore. Did she do it on purpose? Who knows. It's disappointing that this woman has that position of power to scare & intimidate her patients. I should not be afraid of this woman potentially tampering with samples. I should not be afraid of this woman sticking needles into a loved one, especially since my mother has a fear of doctors! I 10000000% recommend avoiding this location like the PLAGUE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Lorraine Nagy: I established an appointment for a fasting blood test (confirmed in the system) and when I arrived was told "I was not in the computer' and would have to wait all day if necessary for a no show. As luck would have it, someone showed up early and I asked since there was a 5 minute interval before her appointment began, I could go before her. She agreed but the technician told her that if she gave me this 5 minutes this patient would have to wait until an opening showed up, if or when...I am elderly, was fasting, had driven to the appointment in good faith. The technician was rude, rigid in her application of the rules, told me that since I was not in the computer there is no way she was willing to help me. I give this technician low marks. Which is surprising, as our previous experience with this lab service has been positive.

Cat C: HORRIBLE! Will never use Quest Diagnostics for anything, not even if it’s free. Went all the way to Bethesda for a COVID test just to be told that the location has been out of nasal swabs FOR THREE DAYS. They didn’t bother to update any of the people waiting for COVID tests in the waiting room or send appointment cancellations. The pharmacist was nice and you could tell she was flustered about it too. Terrible service, terrible organization, not a place that cares about customers/patients.

Rahamatoulaye BAH: Ms. Annette was the only caretaker the day I was there. She came to get me as soon as I signed in. She was very professional when asking me questions when she was completing the administrative work on me. She drew the blood with no problem in finding the good vein. She kept asking me about my comfort level to show how concerned she was. She also guided me for further lab tests I had to take and gave me a $5 store coupon at the Safeway when I was living. Everything was done in less than 30 minutes. I highly recommend this place and of course Ms. Annette. Rama Bah, patient

Josse: Don't! Just don't. An appalling experience. Quest even has the audacity to pin a flyer on the wall with "Quest strives for fives!". I've generously offered one star, and that is simply down to location. Everything else about the experience - customer service, environment, hygiene - left much to the imagination. Not ideal when someone is about to pin you with a needle.
Response: We apologize if this was your experience, Josse, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be forwarding this feedback to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Rikki Lewin: wonderful experience at the Quest in the safeway . there was no waiting and the young lady in charge was skilled and competent and knew how to draw blood. I had a terrible experience last year at the Quest on Democracy Blvd when my arm turned all the colors of the rainbow after the overwhelmed fellow on call drew blood. The place was busy and disorganized and the person was incompetent. I

Karen “kk” Williams: Pleasant, efficient & friendly, knowledgable, prof. staff who can find your Doc's order electronically & draw your blood effortlessly (The Key!) Best kept Bethesda secret! Love Sign-in system so grocery shopping while waiting---yeah!
Response: Thank you for your review, Karen!

Nathan Ong: 7:45 appointment and apparently it doesn’t matter since a walk-in was helped and phone calls still had to be made etc etc and this is bloodwork not surgery. She has been in the room for over 10 minutes. I came in EARLY for my 745 appointment and apparently it doesn’t matter. It’s 8:08 and I’m still waiting.

Alison Seiler: Customer service training for Gary would be good. Instead of answering the phone Quest Diagnostics this is Gary and then walking away from the phone for 10 minutes it would be good to explain that there will be a long wait time or ask the person to call back in 10-15 minutes when the waiting room is less busy

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

Rory: Majority of staff are very kind. They can get an attitude sometimes if people act like they have no common sense. But that's not really a downside. It helps people to check their own listening and attitudes. I gave it 4 because of the long wait times when you get there at opening.

Anna-Lisa Politi: Was scheduled for a drug screen and my childcare for my newborn fell thru last minute, so I had to bring him to make the appointment. When I arrived the staff rudely turned me away and couldn’t state particularly what the “regulations” where why I couldn’t take the test and had to reschedule. At least have your staff be able to politely articulate a why. I’m sure I’m getting just like the other responses on Google a canned one apologizing & stating that it will be brought up to leadership but I am hoping that this facility is starting to work on their customer service skills, seems to be a trend.

Grethel Valverde: This place was great ... I had to take my elderly mother for blood work and we walked in without an appointment because it was a last minute thing. We had gone to another Lab and the woman there was terrible so we left and had to adjust and go with plan B. Came here and they saw us right away in less than 5 minutes. Katie was the tech and she was wonderful with my mother ... she was patient, kind, caring and respectful. My mom hates needles and she is diabetic and we have to do this all the time so you can imagine my struggle with her and getting this done every 3 or 4 months ... but this time when we were done she told me "I didn't even feel the needle ... it didn't hurt at all" ... "we can keep coming here to see her" ... and that's all the reassurance I need and the best proof that this place is number one on my list. I know where I'll be going next time and every time we need to do this from now on. Thanks Katie we really appreciate you.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Grethel! We will be passing this along to our leadership team in the region so we can recognize Katie for her hard work.

Aigerim Askar: They allow you to make an appointment and come in to tell you they don’t/can’t do the test.

Asad Khan: They setup appointments for testing, when you get there a rude employee will tell you they don’t have the tests. They actually recommended to go to xcell urgent care . I should’ve checked the reviews before going there. Shame on you.

Brian Hood: Easy in, easy out... It was quiet my first visit but lil more crowded the second time. They do take you quick for test drop offs. Nice employee that helped me.

DAVID ALBERTO JULCA VARGAS: Bad experience here. The person who attended me was very rude and without any manner. And the worst thing is almost 1 week without the result. It's amazing and I can't understand how this location continue operating. Stay away

Amanda Nguyen: I can only speak from one experience, but the testing process was seamless for my daughter. We were seen immediately (we had an appointment, but were running 10 minutes late. It did look like a few more folks gathered after 3:00.) Richard was fantastic, especially since my daughter has a serious fear of blood/needles. He was patient and professional, but also fun. Based on reviews, I’d recommend appointments in the early afternoon and to be sure Richard is working.

Christina Gillespie: Richard was amazing! I’m normally not great at getting my blood taken but he made it very easy with his fun conversation. The only thing that was really frustrating was the $4 dollar fee to park. For some reason they won’t validate tickets. They were also running a bit behind even though I made an appointment but once I was taken back the process was very speedy. Overall I would recommend this location because Richard is great but only if you can get dropped off and picked up (not worth paying to park).

Aubrey Sclarandis: I gave this Quest Diagnostic Center one star simply because this review site wouldn't let me give it a zero. I am new to the area so when I called to make my appointment, I directly called this location. I was rudely told to go online, she doesn't do appointments there and hung up. So I went online made the appointment and went. First you have to pay to park, which no one told me and I was not prepared for. Maybe if the worker wasn't so quick to hang up on me she could have told me that. When I was taken to a room for the lab work, I told the nurse that I have a hard time with needles sometimes and was answered with "you'll be fine." She was the rudest human being I have ever met, which is tough to do as I am a social worker and work with inmates and probationers, but she really took the cake. In fact she was so rude and unkind that when I left I sat in my car and cried briefly. Clearly this staff does not understand that people are going through something if they are coming in to have blood work done and if they cannot be kind at least be civil. Never again will I go back and I will warn anyone I know to not use their services EVER!

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

Claudia N.: If you have a choice, do not come to this location. You have to pay for parking because of the area it is located in. Then there was no one in the office or window when i came in. I checked in the kiosk at 1140 (before lunch) for a drug screen and it said there was no wait but i waited in the lobby for about 20 minutes only for someone to come at noon and tell me they are going on lunch and the site is by appointment only. :(

Lindsey Minto: Terrible experience. I tried the walk in option and selected the wait in car option. I never got texts from the system so after 30 min of waiting, I went inside and had to sign in again, behind all the people that had come in later than me. At 11:30 the attendant told me to leave and that they couldn’t see me. It was still 30 min to their lunch leave so I didn’t understand why I couldn’t wait. It wasn’t until I indignantly waited until exactly 12 that she explained that drug tests are required to end 1 hour before lunch, I essentially waited a full hour because of this unstated, unwritten rule. The system also did not catch it- I signed into the tablet twice and selected my test type twice. Very disappointed. No customer service to call. Horrendous testing experience. Or lack there of because I left with my issue unresolved.

Cynthia Walker: I made an appointment for a blood test request by my doctor. I arrived about 5 minutes early and checked in. About 15 minutes later someone came out from the back & explained she was the only person there. I went back & the technician made a cursory look for a vein but said she would not even try to perform the tests because I was still too bruised from my hospital stay. Add to that there is a $4 parking fee. I depend on Social Security so $4 means a lot to me, especially since the technician didn’t even try to do the test

Shiddharth Patel: Cons - Parking if you cant find on the street you gotta pay - The waiting room is just a kiosk, so you have to knock on the door to actually speak to someone - Short staffed - due to Covid at the moment - They close for lunch at 12 so you need be a walk in at least 1 hour prior to that otherwise youll be turned away - They do prioritize appts first, but they will take care of walk ins as best they can Pros - Ruth E. - the Medical Lab Technician - she is AMAZING, very patient and understanding, and EFFICIENT, she ran the whole lab by herself and did not complain once nor look like she didnt want to help. I applaud her for her hardwork. - Hopefully she gets help at the lab soon because she is doing a HUGE service to the community that relies on Quest Diagnostics.

Juan-Francisco Buchenau-Varela: Don’t try to use these services! It’s unbearable. Not what you expect in this luxurious building. Approaching this dirty space with harassing attendants made me think that health services is indeed the worst part of America. Even laboratory services are not interested in the people. This is one of the worst places I’ve been for health services. Staff was really rude, waving me in a very inappropriate form to get out of there. I had an appointment but she didn’t want to work with more patients. She didn’t want to bring her supervisor when I requested her name to inform about her behavior. I was waiting for 30 min until she opened the door just to express her craziness. I don’t know why this kind of people is not fired and keep a job for which they are not qualified. Reading all the previous reviews help to understand that the owner does not care at all about this place. Horrible experience!!!!

Super Guy: I'm reviewing the Quest Diagnostics at 6410 Rockledge Drive Suite 105 Bethesda Maryland. There's a bit of parking charge like other reviewers said, but Ubers can drop you off and get back out without them paying anything. Also the entrance to the lab is on the outside of the building. We went in the main entrance and looked around until a lady at the convenience store in there told us it was back out on the outside of the building. This was for my kid to get some blood tests done. First and foremost, have your doctor's office fax/transmit the desired labs to this Quest location so they have it when you get there. (I saw the fax listed under their phone when googling whenever.) Also you can and should make an appointment before going in. There's an online way, but I found it easier just using the appointment robot menu options over the phone. WRITE DOWN THE CONFIRMATION CODE. It's not like other places where you go 'ok uh huh' and don't really write it down. You'll need to enter that confirmation code on a touch-screen check-in thing by their front desk in order to make a human show up. This lab closes at 4, sharp so you'll probably want to be there ar 330-340 if you took that last 345 time slot. The only person we saw there was Ruth the nurse who entered our doctor's order into their system then drew my kid's blood. She was friendly, extremely efficient, and had no problems finding the veni and drawing what the lab needed in one go. If you have low blood pressure or something, you might bring yourself a cookie or orange to eat afterwards. My kid was fine and offered a glass of water, but I remember a different time when I myself got light-headed after a blood draw and people made me eat stuff and sit there until they were sure I wouldn't fall down. No free snacks at this lab, but no lost stars for that. :) They did spot my kid a cup of water and we headed back out. After that, the holidays blew over and I checked with the doctor to see if they had the results yet. They didn't, and when they called Quest couldn't find the info. Here's where that robot phone menu lost them a star because I couldn't find a way to talk to a human there over the phone. Even the option for physicians and client providers was just busy signals when I called during Quest business hours. After some experimentation with unlisted menu options, I learned 5 was corporate billing, and 6 was corporate customer service. Corporate Customer Service had me on hold less than a minute, and the CS rep named Twya saw they had my date of birth instead of my kid's date of birth in their system. She was able to fix that and as she was checking to send the results to our doctor, she saw someone had already sent them a few moments earlier that morning. So I can infer the lab figured something out and got the results to our doctor themselves afterall. The doctor picked up the results and messaged me to say everything was normal except a vitamin d defficiency, get some vitamins [if my kid dislikes milk so much]. The individual tests cost about the kinds of prices I saw while googling what they all were. They added up, but it was worth ruling a bunch of stuff out all at once on a single blood draw. The inability to talk to a human at the lab over the phone before or after our trip is the only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5. It was a leap of faith experience going there, and magic vudu finding a human to help troubleshoot why doctor couldn't get the results initially without ubering back out to the lab in person on another leap of faith visit.

Eluned Schweitzer: I used these services several weeks ago and have been unable to get any results back. There is no one to talk to and no response from horrendous website system. The waiting room is small and social distancing difficult if not impossible with a queue of people. No receptionist to drop samples off with.

Hocus Pocus: Tuesday, 8/10/21 After my follow-up appointment at this Quest Lab today, I feel compelled to revoke my prior positive review of this lab, and explain why I do NOT recommend the Quest Lab on Fernwood Road in Bethesda MD. I arrived at Quest today, at shortly before 4pm to drop off a specimen. After I had registered, its computer directed me to be seated in the waiting room, and someone would see me shortly. When I sat down, 2 other patients who were there before me. After 15 minutes, an Indian woman (who worked there) suddenly opened the door, kept waving her arm to us and rudely ordering all of us in the waiting room to leave at once, saying the lab was closed. But the closing time posted at the door was 4:30. The time then was only 4:15pm. From her computer, that Indian woman should have known how many people were waiting and for how long. And she should also have also known those who had waited for 15 minutes would incur a $4 parking fee. Ordering patients to leave before closing time, and without reimbursing patients for wasted parking fee was egregiously unreasonable ! I used to live in PA, and never seen such poor lab service before. It is caused by franchised owners understaffing lab facilities to maximize profits, all to the detriment of patients and insurance companies. I will definitely bring this complaint to the attention of Maryland state health regulators.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback!

Cass ____: I scheduled an appointment later in the day. Upon arriving, since nobody was in the waiting room I was immediately seen. The blood draw was very fast and painless. Both of the techs I met were friendly and professional. Only thing that isn't great about this location is you'll have to pay for parking.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback!

Alec Cholok: Consistently unprofessional service. My wife went for a blood test. Being over 60 she was told to arrive between 8 and 9 since this time was reserved for seniors, she wouldn't need an appointment and would be taken in turn. She arrived at 7:50. During the following hour several young people came in - with appointments - and were given priority. She ended up waiting almost an hour. When we inquired about this we were told that the computer set up the appointments , set the schedule, and there was nothing the staff could do. Once the blood draw started the phlebotomist repeatedly walked over to a nearby computer to check some information. This meant, of course, that they weren't closely monitoring the blood draw. I have a hard time believing this is the correct procedure.
Response: We apologize if this was your experience, Alec, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be forwarding this to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

Nor Dev: The staff at the lab was nice and efficient. The results, however, took over a month to get to the doctor's office, but have never been posted online. The final bill took over two months, and ended up being much higher than the estimate I received at the time of appointment. I have never had any issues with Quest - they are usually pretty quick and results are available online within a week or so. Not sure whose fault this is, but I am not returning to this location.

J Lokitis: I thought the staff was very time efficient, explained the procedures, demonstrated how to do the at home tests and got my vein on the first attempt! Good experience for a lab. Thank you to Anna who spent extra time trying to figure out some specific tests my doctor wanted.

S. H.: I frequently use Quest for all types of lab work. I'm somewhat of a biohacker and I'm constantly ordering labs to check various things in my body. I was at my doctor's office the prior day and the nurse could not find a vein. I let her poke me 8 times (I insisted). I know that sounds crazy but the test that I needed has to be administered at a certain time. I decided to head to Quest and see if I could get the blood drawn. I had multiple puncture wounds on my hands and arms but the phlebotomist was able to find a vein and get the blood in one shot!!!! I have the hardest veins to find and even when you find them they like to jump. This was miraculous. I usually just make them start with my hands because the veins are just that ellusive. I had to wait about 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment but it was okay. Also, be damn sure make you make sure you have an appointment because there were like 10 people in the waiting room on a Saturday at 10:00 a.m. I would definitely come again.

Jane Collins: Good, efficient experience. Professional staff. I had to go back today because their system was down yesterday and I couldn’t order a test online (there is no way to pay for one at the facility). The system was back up today and I was able to quickly and easily schedule a test.

tor bw: the staff who did the blood test for me was experienced and kind. the needle did not hurt at all unlike past experiences i’ve had.

Emily Woody: I had made an appointment a few days ago for biometric screening. When I arrived I was told my appointment was not in the system and therefore the screening could not be done unless I get the appropriate paperwork. I went in today to get a biometric screening done and was extremely caught off guard by how rude Marco was. He told me that my appointment was not in the system and so I would need to get call my HR to get the paper work. So I call my HR department, wait for 45 minutes for them to fax it and he said there is nothing he can do because it is not in the system, giving me no further instruction on how to get the information in his system! Why am I responsible for getting information into YOUR system, when it was your systems error to begin with?! So I call Quest Diagnostics customer service line and told them about my dilemma, they said they can fax the paperwork and send it electronically by setting me up as a walk in appointment. Marco rudely responds to the customer service rep (from Quest) saying well it is past 2:30 (my appointment time) so there is nothing he can do. When the only reason it was past 2:30 so there was nothing he could do. He looks at the fax sent by the woman and said it is too blurry so he cannot see me. When the customer service rep laughs and said come on man! He finally goes into the system and sees that my appointment is now in their system so he can do the screening (which literally takes 10 minutes). I was honestly afraid when he was taking my blood work that he would intentionally hurt me or something. Overall, I was in the office for 2 hours, and was spoken with extreme disrespect and disregard by Marco. Also, he had his name written on his smock with red marker, extremely unprofessional. I do appreciate his colleague Camille, she at least tried to help me. The customer service rep literally saved me from bursting into tears, she was wonderful. It was overall an awful experience, I will never go back there and Marco should be fired, I see now that this is not the first time he has acted this way, given other reviews. Luckily, the customer service rep told me she was making a note in her files about his rude behavior and was going to report it internally.
Response: Hi Emily- We apologize if this was your experience and thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We will be forwarding this feedback to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Doc Z: OK, I've got to clear something about this facility. There has been a change of the guard at this location, that can be the only answer. I made and appointment online, looked up the address and THEN saw some of the reviews. Now, needless to say they made me a bit apprehensive, but then I saw a lot, not all of them were written several years ago. I went in there with he intention of doing a review either way. Being in emergency medicine most of my life I think I can be a pretty good judge patient care quality as well as personal interactions. I say this with years of experience. I checked in at the kiosk and sat down. When each patient was called, it was done in a professional "easy" manner. That sets a patient at ease. For some, getting a needle can be a really hard experience and anxiety high experience, so much so they pass out. So making someone feel at ease from the beginning of the experience is very important - trust. The facility was very orderly and clean, as was the patient care areas and bathroom. First item, they definitely NEED a new LCD in the patient care area as that one is malfunctioning and looks horrible. Something like that screams the company does not care about the patient experience. The second item are the phlebotomist drawing chairs - REPLACE THEM! Two of the chairs I saw were beat up and function very poorly. I could not move the arm to sit in it and when Tolu did it for me the arm almost fell off! Invest in quality equipment, or replace what's worn out Quest. This is on the corporation not the staff. I was called 7 minutes after I arrived by Tolu Okodu, she was exceptionally pleasant. I asked how her day was going and she was very nice with her replies. After getting the identification bit out of the way Tolu scrutinized my PCS very carefully which made me quite happy. See, high volume labs deal with 1000's of collection samples daily and one administrative oversight could land you back in that chair a week later due to a lost or mislabeled sample, so checking the order forms carefully is key! This is what she did. The blood collection was completely painless, Tolu has the skills many phlebotomists lack - judgment, not too deep, not too far out -perfect. I felt nothing. All while collecting my samples Tolu was asking me if I was OK, another often overlooked tidbit in patient care, concern for what your patient is experiencing. You will never know if you do not ask, and she did. The entire experience was very pleasant and professional. I can see where some bad reviews can come from after reading some of the descriptions. However, that is not the lab or staff there today. If you are going in for a test, feel easy, they will take care of you, and you will not feel like you are putting them out for doing their job. I will gladly go back for testing at this location. Thanks Tolu for a great experience!!

Hui - Falls Church: I had a very good experience with this Quest Diagnostics Center. Britney was professional, diligent and caring. She made sure the order was processed correctly and took time to double check everything. I had an appointment and the whole process took about 30 min.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback! We will be passing this along to our leadership team in the region so we can recognize Britney for her hard work.

Montrece King: This location is amazing both if the labs techs are professional.I was greeted upon arrival

Richard Nguyen: I scheduled an appointment prior to arrival. I waited in my car and did a mobile check-in. I was texted to come into the waiting room about 5 minutes after using the mobile check-in. John Longcop gave me clear instructions on the urine sample collection process. Everything was over within 10 minutes. Great experience, would recommend.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Richard!

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

Yinzú Nairouz: I have a good experience, I received my results fast for email. Sadly there only hace one staff member for everything (billing, front desk, check-in/out, take the sample…). Try to get an appointment in advance. They should hire a second person

Teresa Joiner: My results were sent to an unknown location so my doctor never received them. The office is small and cramped and not conducive to medical care of any sort and I feel bad for the staff there. Very impersonal place to go for testing, no friendly greeting so definitely customer service training is needed. I had to contact Quest to locate my results which the response was they couldn't find them but somehow through Myquest I found them and now I have to send to my doctors after three weeks after the testing was done. I am concerned that my personal health information has been compromised. I cannot reach Quest via telephone or your office to address this issues. I have other options for labs but decided to go here because it was closer to my house. Never again.
Response: We apologize for any frustration or inconvenience this may have caused, Teresa, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please contact our Customer Service team at 1-866-697-8378 so we can address any concerns directly.

Toney Wick: I was there today for blood work and the lady at the front desk was extremely rude and disrespectful. And refused to help me or give me her name. There was another lady over there that she works there and she was a sweet hart may God bless her. The nasty lady name is kalen deer. I hope I will never see her again ever in my life.
Response: We apologize if this was your experience, Toney, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be forwarding this feedback to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Gale Newton: I've gone to this QD location in Greenbelt, MD for several years and the staff has always been very nice and professional, making sure I was comfortable during my visit. The service is usually very crowded, but handled quickly and my results are referred back to my doctor quickly too. The facilities has worn down through the years, so it's due for renovation, particularly the bathrooms, however this need hasn't dampened the professional services received from the staff.

Tricia Saint-Felix: The good. The facility is conveniently located within a shopping center. It was clean and hygienic precautions were taken while my blood was drawn. This visit took all of ten minutes—a bonus I did not anticipate but for which I was grateful. The process was simple enough: sign in on the iPad and wait to be called. The bad. The customer service leaves more to be desired. The receptionist seemed nice enough until we spoke business. She kept on cutting me off when I tried to explain my insurance situation. Essentially, we both were saying the same thing and the conversation went around in circles. Because she tried to anticipate my words and thoughts, she would incorrectly complete my sentences and this sent us into a baffling to-and-fro. After commenting on the confusing affair, she then brought up my age, insinuating that I must be young and that was why communicating with me was difficult. Then she looked at my paperwork to verify her assumption before looking back at me and saying, “Oh. You’re really not that young.” While I am personally not offended by the age comment, it is, however, unprofessional and unbecoming of a business, particularly a medical one. Also, telling a person that you “get [his/her situation] all the time” is not qualifying statement for an individual case. You’re a receptionist; not a claims adjuster.

Christiana Charles: The staff here are very rude and unprofessional. From the moment I walked in to the time I left the tall dark skinned tech and the short light skinned tech were very unprofessional and loud having side conversations and were not helpful at all. The tall dark skinned one then had an attitude when I asked her anything. I called my doctor and informed her of the unprofessional and advised her I will not come back to this location. They are very rude and unprofessional and corporate needs to handle this. This is not the first time “workers” from this location have been disrespectful.
Response: We apologize for any disappointment this may have caused, Christiana, and thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us. Please contact our Patient Advocacy team with additional information so we can address any concerns directly: patientadvocacy@questdiagnostics.com.

Chandler Horton: If your employer requests that you complete a drug screening, DO NOT pick this one. It's been two weeks and no results. This is incredibly unprofessional and it seems like I'm not the only one who has had trouble from this place.
Response: Hi Chandler- we apologize if this was your experience. Please contact Customer Service to address any concerns directly: 866-697-8378.

Mary Kah: Very 😔 Sad! My Mom & I felt very depressed due to the rudeness and incompetent nature of the two Staff on duty especially Michelle. Not welcoming at all, they aggravated my Mom's health condition. Very disappointed!

Julius Pittman: The two ladies Angie and Lawan was very nice and quick. I was in and out in 10 mins. Also very professional.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Julius! We will be passing this along to our leadership team in the region so we can recognize Angie and Lawan for their hard work.

Colin Goodenough: Would not give this place any stars. Rude and incompetent and rude staff who made us feel unwelcome. Would suggest public service lessons for the receptionist. Avoid if possible.

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

Charity Calhoun: Was pleasantly surprised with Quest given the bad reviews and my own negative experience years ago. But, I ordered a lab test and scheduled an appt same day all electronically. Check-in process was smooth and quick, and staff was pleasant. The office is quite outdated, but the service was good!

Vera Perry: After fasting for diabetes test, I walk in for a test at 8:30 and was told I had to come back at 11:10. I explained that to the technicians and they ignored me. My doctors appointment was on Tuesday and today was Friday. Only 2 people was there waiting at that time. Fasting all night was way too long to wait.

jade: Update: This lab, in any location in our around Clinton, greenbelt area is horrific. I believe they are not actually testing the blood and urine sample taken to them. I bring them test, it's negative. However, test is done 2 days later, Dr. Office and it's positive. these women technicians are angry when you visit many of these locations. As a result, I don't think they are running any of the patients test when they arrive. I and some others are continuously seeing this. Contact your insurance co and please make complaints. Go to another lab and leave Quest alone. Original review: This place is pityful. I have been trying to drop off specimen for a while now, they close at 4pm. I have gotten there at 3:58pm, 4:01, 4:03 and the door was locked, no one would even respond. I am disabled, looking for suite. I understand they close at 4, but they must be closing before 4. And they will not respond to you knocks. I got in afterwards twice, was badly sick and needed to get test in immediately. A transport driver picking up specimens let me in and they were extremely mad. They can at least be considerate to those trying to find the place. Also hard to get a live person on the phone. . Wish I could use another lab. Update: My test done by lab keep coming back negative. Got admitted in Hosp 2 days later, for the illness the lab tested negative for. Twice. some test they do, they don't test on a broader level, spectrum. So your results will fall short.

Bri Chum: Made an appointment, was seen at the exact time. Tyshia was the best as she had great customer service and was able to draw my blood right away. I am a difficult person with tiny veins so I was super impressed. The place was busy, the chairs are scattered to ensure COVID guidelines.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Bridge! We will be passing this along to our leadership team in the region so we can recognize Tyshia for her hard work.

Victor Smith: Quick and easy scheduled an appointment online had no issues staff was friendly. Would recommend to quest to have an additional staff memeber having only two people does not seem enough if it gets busy.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Victor!

Rearea Gal: I see a bunch of negative reviews for this location, however, I had a good experience here. Making an appointment on-line was seamless, you get text messages confirming your appointment and the morning of your appointment to check in when you arrive at the location. You have an option to wait in your car or in the waiting area to be seen. The first 3 letters of your first name and 1 letter of your last name is displayed on the monitor indicating your appointment time counting down. The waiting area only has a few seats with social distancing. The entire appointment was seamless and my phlebotomist Ty was great at what she does and very friendly!!! That was a plus!!!! With all of the current circumstances it was a good experience.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Rearea! We will be passing this along to our leadership team in the region so we can recognize Ty for her hard work.

s w: I was the first appointment for the day. The person who checked me in, Lillian, was rude and turned out to be the phlebologist (that doesn't seem to be proper procedures) who drew my blood for my wellness visit. Outside of the rudeness the speed at which process took place was great.

Vanessa Tyson: Made an appointment the night before. Arrived on time. Easy check in. Seen within minutes. Friendly phlebotomist. In and out within 10 minutes. Great experience!
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Vanessa!

Eric Green: Its been 12 hours and I've not gotten my results from a "Rapid" test after waiting 2 hours in line.

Helen Winslow: A horrific experience. Failed to wash their hands between patients. Did not change their gloves between patients. Horribly slow for no particular reason. Long, long wait times even if you have an appointment. Rude staff and not professional at all. They must pick the dregs of society to work in this place. Avoid at all costs. The County should shut it down.

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

Neha Kaul Pankow: A week ago, we were panicked parents of a one year old, trying to figure out how to find the right place for a blood draw. With their tiny little veins hidden under all the chub, baby blood draw is not an easy feat. I called Quest (central line) and the person guided me through until we confirmed that this Quest lab close to our home did have a pediatric phlebotomist (9- 5). She was very patient. My insurance company confirmed that the lab procedure would be covered at this location. The Quest online appointment system was super easy and it also made check-in easier when we arrived at the location. Our wait was 5- 10 min. Jeredine and Lisa performed the blood draw. They were incredibly calm and skilled. My son started to cry a bit when the elastic band was tightened above his elbow but the actual blood draw didn't bother him very much. To keep him occupied, we showed him pictures and videos of himself on a phone. The whole thing went really well and I'm so thankful to the phlebotomists here. Based on our experience, I would HIGHLY recommend this place.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Neha! We will be passing this along to our leadership team in the region so we can recognize Jeredine and Lisa for their hard work.

M.Fahim Nazary: The best place to do your lab work. The team is professional, no wait time, easy check in, you get more respect and very friendly team. The way those two nurses took my two years old daughter's blood was exceptional and gentle.Yes 100% recommend for every one !
Response: Thank you for the great review!

Allie Hupp: Lisa is wonderful. She drew my 12 week old’s blood so gently and efficiently.

T Brown: Lisa is the best! I didn't even feel the needle! Thank you! :)

Eli M: Very professional and fast compared to other places. Clean.

Lisa Massey: Friendly faces

Quest Diagnostics: what do users think?

Dave Poe: Simply awful. The best part about the experience was the fact that they took me slightly before my scheduled appointment time. It went downhill from there. Surly phlebotomist, poorly-designed forms, and then failure to report ANY results, suggesting that they have been lost. One of my worst medical test experiences ever.

Asha Plattner Belsan: I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect going into my appointment, but I was seen by Trenita, who did a wonderful job. She was professional, efficient, skilled, kind, and everything was very clean and sanitized. Trenita was even able to overcome a snag in the system and see me for my appointment despite an error in the system caused by someone else that scheduled my appointment. I was so relieved to have had a good experience that I bought myself some sushi on my way out! :)

M St. Clair: I had an outstanding experience here today. I urgently needed a blood draw so I tried my luck as a walk in. I didn't wait long and there was this amazing woman doing everything by herself! She was kind, efficient, competent, and the stick didn't hurt. I didn't wait more than 20 minutes (I expected longer) but in the future I will make an appointment but this was really urgent today. Feel fortunate to have found this place. Thanks, Quest.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback!

Linda Werner: I am definitely going back here for my next labs. I have terrible veins, and the technician was able to draw my blood in one try -- which puts her in the hall of fame in my opinion. She was also courteous and kind. I was fortunate, as a walk-in to get my test done quickly. Better if you can to make an online appointment.
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Linda!

Sandra Frances: Horrible I got there at 11:37am to find out that they close for lunch 11:30am to 12:30pm. No where on the website does it mention that. Then the lady appears at 12:30pm and takes a person with an appointment and takes 35 minutes for a blood draw. I had to leave because the lady was extremely rude. Disgruntled like she didn’t like her job. Worst bed side manner ever. I wasted my whole time.

Liz Weatherly: Bad experience with a blood draw on 10/30. Two employees were in the process of moving heavy boxes and didn't pay any attention to us when we entered the waiting room. A contactless thermometer was on the desk but no one took our temperatures. We checked ourselves in on a touch screen assuming it had been sanitized since last use but later came to see (when others checked in) that it wasn't. Employees finished moving boxes and ushered us into a very small room and closed the door, which I then reopened. It was too tight a space in Covid times for two adults and a child. Discarded rubber glove on the floor next to a trash can. Tray on the counter with bandaid garbage from previous patients (no blood or needles though). The Safeway felt cleaner and more organized than this Quest. Today I found out the lab didn't do all the requested tests so need another draw. Definitely will not return to this location.
Response: Hi Liz- We apologize if this was your experience and thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We will be forwarding this feedback to our leadership team in the region for a follow-up with our staff.

Nahid Sina: This was didn’t have even one sanitizer for entering customers. Everybody was touching the screen without having a wipe to clean for next person. At this time with COVID 19 carriers everywhere it could be nice to follow CDC guideline specifically in medical lab. Worker was ver nice and gentle.
Response: We apologize if we have not met your expectations and thank you for sharing this feedback with us.

Elena Myers: Its busy place and a one women show when I was there, but she hustled to get to all of us quickly. Very good customer service effort on her part.
Response: Hi Elena- Thank you for sharing!

Patricia Warne: Trenita is awesome. Thank you!
Response: Thank you for sharing this feedback, Patricia! We will be passing this along to our leadership team in the region so we can recognize Trenita for her hard work.
