Francis Outdoor Pool: what do users think?

Sam Odle: We came for dog swim day at the end of summer and our pup had a blast.

beth peralta-reed: Great pool. Lap swimming available. Kid pool with a beach entrance. Maditory rest time for kids so that adults get some time in the pool without kids. The deep end opens around midday during the week. My only complaint is that the restrooms are kinda gross. One of the stalls in the women’s locker room has been locked for a couple weeks, two of the stalls don’t lock at all and none of the stalls have working toilet paper holders so the roll of toilet paper always ends up on the floor.

Jiya Sohal: It’s a beautiful poop and it’s not too crowded and if it is it’s mostly people sun bathing so the pool is very open and it’s separated in three parts so if your child is playing in water it won’t go to the deep end. I mostly loved how deep it goes and so you can challenge your self if you are trying to dive down to touch bottom and it goes down to 12feet and 5 inches. I was also surprised how clean it was even though there’s many tree near it and you definitely go there except on Tuesday there closed that day and this is my go to pool

Mara Nelson: Love this pool! My boyfriend and I go here during the summer in DC and have the best time. The pool is huge and split into three sections - one for kids, one for swimming laps, and one with a deep end. Best part, if you're a resident of DC, it's free! On the weekends, it can get a little crowded. We go after work sometimes and there is barely anybody there. Definitely go if you live in DC.

Mark Enoch: A great pool, but get there early if you want a chair. Many are plastic and broke many summers ago, but overall it's a great pool. It's size let's families with young children enjoy swimming in a shallow end, lap lanes for swimmers, a standing area for adults, and a deep end for enjoyment.

Dennis Bours: Very nice pool and kind life guards. Always done unclarity about opening times, but check the most recent pictures of the opening times and you should be okay. Life guards go into a discussion of the type of life vest you.put on your little ones. All well meant. DC will have its standard, and so do other states, or Europe. One not necessarily better than the next. Most important, stay close to your kids if they did not complete swimming lessons; a life vest does not mean they can't drown.

Laura Labedz: I love this pool. It has six lap lanes that are open at all times, plus an area to the side of the lap lanes for kids and families to play. there's a kiddie pool for the really little ones and the deep end is separated from the lanes by a wall and is good for just hanging out.. (Deep is only about 7 or 8 feet, so no diving.)

Bossi: PRO - Generally not crowded, though around 6pm it can get competitive as the sun starts setting behind the trees & it gets competitive over remaining sunlit seating. Pools are split into three parts: deep, lap, and wading. Water always a great temp. CON - Every year more and more lounge chairs are broken; never seeming to be repaired. Locker rooms are basic and not too clean. Showers are exceptionally hot. The deep pool is closed more than it's open.

B VanFleet: This pool needs better management. They force people into only 3 narrow lane for no apparent reason. There are two lifeguards who seem not want to do what a lifeguard is paid to do. If you open at noon you should have everything in place and opporational.

Bryan De Rosa: I just discovered this park as part of my kickball league. have not used the pool, but have had a number of practices and watched a few games. great location, close proximity to Georgetown, trader joes, and other cool places. this is perfect for families

William H Rumsey Aquatic Center: what do users think?

Edward Heid: Clean facilities and they just repaired the mens locker room showers. Still need to fix the entry doors. My neighborhood pool so I love having a “free” pool I can walk to. Bring a lock for your locker, don’t tempt fate. Limited Lap Lanes Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 11:00am-12:30pm 5:30pm-8:30pm Tuesday & Thursday 9:00am-10:30am 5:30pm-8:30pm

Rebecca Oldfield-Frey: A great free municipal pool! Would I eat off the locker room floor? No. But they do a good job keeping the pool clean and between 80 and 83 degrees. I love having access to this space.

Allison Melengic: Nice public pool. Clean. They have an area for family swim and lap lanes for competitive swimmers. The workers aren't very friendly but thats ok. Locker rooms are clean.

Ian Lever: Had a very good experience here on a Saturday morning. It was not too crowded and facilities were in pretty great shape. Nice to have a publicly accessible aquatic center in the neighborhood.

Bobbi DeAnda: Didn’t even take pics because we didn’t stay - broken facilities and freezing. We were told heater on the main pool has been broken for 2 months when we asked why it was so cold (I’m talking ICE BATH COLD). The baby pool is broken as well - for at least 2 years according to someone who works there. I’d consider trying it out again if they fix the facilities but as of now, we will not be back.

Kromeklia Bryant: I often go here to exercise during the week. Weekends can be busy. Avoid at all costs during the summer, unless you are a lap swimmer! Go early anytime before 10 am.

Michael Stern: Credit cards were stolen from my locked gym locker at this pool, and within 1/2 hour over $1,300 was charged on them. There was no security guard/staff checking people in, and the locked door to the men's room was propped open, allowing the thief easy pickings. When the police responded, the manager on-duty didn't know how to operate the security cameras to review footage. I later alerted Parks and Rec, who responded that they were not responsible. Yes, it's nice that we have many public pools in DC, but they should be staffed and secured like any private gym would be.

Tiffany Stevens: Me and my kids just started going here. Its a great workout. If you go early it's not crowded. Parking is a nightmare though. But if you dont mind paying a meter you will be fine. The bathrooms are gross though. Not toilet paper. The floors need to be mopped and bleached bad.

Chris Lundquist: This is a pretty decent pool. It's fantastic that this and other city-run aquatic facilities are completely free as long as you're a DC resident. The lifeguards and other staff are friendly and helpful. I've really enjoyed getting back into swimming on a regular basis. Could it be cleaner (especially in the locker rooms)? For sure, and I hope they work on that. But still, hard to beat this kind of value for free.

cat wu: Rating is base on a Wed. 6-8pm experience. Bathroom was in a very decent condition, floor was not dirty and has soap and paper. There were 4 lanes open even with the team practicing. Pool doesn’t have strong smell and with comfortable temperature. Hope this is not a one time thing.

Livingwell Health Club ADA: what do users think?

Charles Benoit: Super friendly staff make this a great environment. The pool is excellent, even heated so it's open until end of October. Gym is shared between hotel guests and local members, but the cardio machines aren't full too often. An extra treadmill wouldn't hurt, but when I do have to wait it's not too long. All in all a great community.

Eric Hanson: Pool! Pool! Pool! A typical but larger hotel gym inside Hilton (open to the public too). If you are a swim person, you just can't afford to pass it up. they have a fabulous pool (don't be deceived by Vida Fitness/U St's facade & shills on Yelp, they're overpriced yet mediocre). 5 stars if they open till 11pm.

susan forsyth: I have been a member for years. The pool is excellent and the gym is great too.

Dave Giefer: Nice machines. Could use some fans on the cardio equipment.

mike Appello: Nice, clean, no stress or bs.

Washington-Liberty Aquatics Center: what do users think?

Brenda Fonseca: Clean, water is not cold (it is nice to see my daughter swiming without purple lips or shaking).

Nassim Safadi: This pool is very nice. Have a big changing room with shower and a locker space for you belonging. The kids swim lesson is fun the instructors are very knowledgeable they take time with kids to learn how to independent swimmers

Sarah Cox: We had a blast with our 5yo son. The pool was a bit cold. It worked well when our hotel who advertised a pool did not have one! Thank you!

JX Mrs: I took several swimming lessons here, and the instructors were very nice and I learned a lot. What drive me down to give a 1 star is the management team. After the lessons I got a 3-month membership with this location. However now, they are closed for almost half month. They don’t notice you with email, they just assume you know everything. I emailed the manager to ask if my membership will be extend to make up the half month they close for maintenance, and now 4or 5 days passed, I received nothing reply upon my question. I guess I paid for nothing. Horrible management team, although the good environment of swimming is ruined and wasted. That’s how I feel now with this place!

Vinni: This is a great pool, with six Lanes, sometimes eight Lanes, but it certainly gets crowded Monday through Thursday evening after work. Be ready to swim 3 to a lane on those evenings. Best times to go for it not being crowded is Friday night

Mason Eoyang: The kids area gets real crowded in the evenings with classes, and so. Times its a struggle to find a lane, but the facilities are nice, well staffed and reasonably clean for a public pool. Arlington county residents get a discount for entry, all others pay full price (check website for current prices)

karim jana: Great place to swim for all levels. The bathroom facilities are clean, haven't had problems with parking (6pm-9pm),and there's always space to swim comfortably. The temperature in the bathroom area could be warmer.

Sofía Fonseca Muñoz: It is a very nice pool and they are very organized for avoid contact due to covid. The booking system is nice, I just wish that you could book two days in advance or so.

Michael Goldring: Washington-Lee is a great facility. I always get a good workout there. The competition pool is very well designed and maintained. The water quality and temperature are excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is open both to residents and non-residents. I travel a lot, and swim in many pools. Washington-Lee is one of the best anywhere.

john jonson: 10 swim lanes open seven days a week. It can get crowded so plan on having to share the swim lane. It could be improved by better management as there are often multiple classes going on at once with 1 lane open for everyone else.

Wilson Aquatic Center: what do users think?

Hanna Foreman: Great neighborhood pool. The staff is friendly and place is fairly well maintained for a public pool. However, finding a lane can be hard during the post 5pm rush so plan accordingly since you will be competing with swim classes and other 9-5ers.

armis sadri: I’ve been a competitive swimmer & lifeguard for years. Unfortunately DC public amenities have never been of good quality and this applies to this public swimming pool. Honestly doesn’t deserve a one-star. 1. Wilson pool is always full. I tried coming on early mornings, mid-day & afterwork and 5-6 lines are always closed no matter what for different and random classes and meet ups and so called lack of staff while they literally do push ups and play group activities near the children pool. It’s intentional as enough staff walk around the pool doing nothing or are in the life guard room checking phones. 2. After work during the week is awful since besides those 5-6 closed lines, 3 ppl end up swimming in a lane which should be illegal and while you’re swimming random meet up groups show up claiming it’s their line so ppl end up waiting 10-15mins for two lanes and they don’t allow you to swim in the children’s pool. It’s a joke just wasting your time arguing with staff who have no common sense and threaten you to call police if you swim in children pool 3. Stay away from this pool as it’s too dirty with no supervise. Once I was swimming and noticed some stuff goes into my mouth went down deep and noticed there were so many used bandaids in the water, let the lifeguard know and they just came and said gross, didn’t even bother to close the lane and clean. 4. Amenities and shower are so gross and dirty full of empty bottles of shampoo and ppl’s hair clogging the shower. 5. Brought all these issues to the attention of pool’s manger and DC team and no response just heard it is what is. 6. Nothing is posted on their webpage in terms of what classes at what times are going, what lanes or how many lanes will be closed or they’ll be closed because of an event you go all the way and noticed sth on the door so call in advance. 7. As a swimmer, I tried three competition pools in Virginia (NOVA) and regret living in DC, the VA pools were so clean and well maintained. DC residents suffer with such low quality and scarce public amenities and council members. 8. Avoid this pool unless you have no option and just want to go swim, do lapses in your lunch break hoping you won’t get sick.

Murad Efendiev: This is bar none the best public pool in dmv area. it needs maintenance but overall unbeatable. not for swimmers who like warm water.

Francine Steininger: Pool has been very cold lately (Early 2022). Not sure what's going on but it takes a lot of swimming to warm up. Nice sized pool but showers are cold, often not working, or not draining well, and people don't clean up after themselves in the shower (leaving hair, soap or shampoo bottles behind, etc)

kathleen gough: Great pool, family changing rooms are not in great shape, but the pool itself is worth it.

Marla Hunter: Excellent pool area. The children's area is just the right temp for swim lessons.

John Clisham: I just called to get some swim team information... the young man on the other end was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you!

Tristana Fiscella: Such an amazing pool. Olympic size! Check ahead about which way the lanes go that day. Also there is a large hot tub and a very, very robust kiddy pool area! Afterwards grab a bite at the Whole Foods salad bar or a smoothie at Robeks and hop on the H bus! The sunlight coming through the building really makes this pool awesome.

Chris Peckham: It can be busy at times, but hands down my favorite public pool. The hot tub is amazing.

Eric Wuechner: About one theft (locker break in) a week, according to the police, so purchase a heavy-duty lock, and you should be ok. The pool can be frigid, so be prepared. M, W, F, S 50 meter pool.

Turkey Thicket Aquatic Facility: what do users think?

Bobbi DeAnda: This pool is HUGE! Water was pretty cold but not as cold as Rumsey…you can adjust to this lol. AND there’s a hot tub!!!!! I always appreciated a ramp entry for the little ones as well. There’s plenty of places to sit (bleachers), it’s warm inside the facility (that’s what made the water temp more bearable too) and there’s lap lanes and a diving board! Overall good. Will definitely be back!

Dalonte Parker: Great pool lifeguards everywhere. Only thing is water VERY cold appearently their water heater is down and has been for a while. Once your in you'll definitely need to keep move and keep most of your body submerged.

Jeneen G: Convenient neighborhood pool that offers classes and has a hot tub. Well-lit and accessible by bike, bus or metro. Good-sized parking lot except when there's an event going on. Pool doesn't seem to be cleaned very often though (supposed to be at least weekly) because there's the same debris underwater week after week. Showers mostly work but at least one of them breaks down every so often. This location has closed down for long periods (at least a month) over the last 2-3 years supposedly for renovations and/ or cleaning but tiles still look old. Hopefully doesn't close down again in the near future

Marla Hunter: One place that makes me very happy due to the fact that I remember when I became a lifeguard and swim coach, I was the only Black one. Here it's awesome to see the Black faces of the lifeguards and swim coaches.

Laura White: This week too much chlorine in the pool. The smell was very strong it had my eyes burning and I didn't even put my head under the water.😏 However the ladies locker room was much cleaner than my previous visit🙄🤨 These are pictures of the ladies showers, where someone has left there hair behind🤨 These other pictures are of the hot tub with this thick ring of dirt and foam, thus forcing people out of the hot tub!🤔🤔😏

Mary Evans: Very friendly staff. Clean and not too crowded.

Kevin Keller: A few years ago this was a great facility. It's fallen into disrepair lately. It's not as sparkly clean as it once was. Some of the showers don't work. The shower that does work has a loose and rusty fitting at the wall. The water pressure is low too. They no longer keep the shower soap dispensers filled with soap. The bathing suit dryer in the men's locker room is out of service. There's grime on tiles in the locker room. They don't always open on time. Still, if your just looking to get in a quick swim and your in the neighborhood it gets the job done.

John Schultz: Was in the neighborhood and wanted to swim some laps. So I call to hear about their policies. 7 dollars for non DC residents. No cash. OK, sounds fair. I'll just bring my wallet and leave it in a locker. Pool facilities are pretty nice. Lots of families taking advantage of the fountain and the life jackets. I swim my laps. Probably in the pool for 45 minutes. Dry off, change, get my stuff. In less than ten minutes the fraud department of my bank had called me. Someone had carefully swiped the credit cards out of my wallet. In 45 minutes. So glad they didn't take my ID and my phone was in my car. I suppose I should be more careful in locker rooms.

a detrick: Had a horrible experience at this pool. The pool manager was extremely rude to the people I was with (a recently-arrived immigrant family from Guatemala who don't speak English). She started yelling at them for no reason and accused them of breaking one of the pool rules that they weren't actually breaking (the pool rules are clearly listed--maybe the pool manager should review them herself). I figured she was just in a bad mood that day, but she was extremely polite to the other guests were actually breaking the rules (including one man who was eating next to the pool) and kindly asked them to follow the rules. I'm not sure if she was only rude to the people I was with because they were the only Hispanic people at the pool, but I do know that no one deserves to be spoken to the way my friends were spoken to. I hope this manager never treats anyone like this again--after all, her paycheck comes out of OUR dc taxes.

Jessica Martinez: What looks to be a nice and clean pool is an actual pool that is dirty. The staff is so rude in particularly an elder lifeguard (guy). We were there no longer than 10 minutes when he was yelling across the pool. He was rude as ever and blowing his whistle every two minutes for no reason. The water was freezing even in the baby pool which is unacceptable. I am highly unsatisfied and will never bring my kids.

Banneker Pool: what do users think?

Brenna Killeen: A great place to bring kids! Can be very crowded but the pool itself is clean and well managed. I didn't check out the bathrooms or changing area.

Kay: they let alot of people in without proper bathing suits but wouldn’t let my friends brother come in with regular clothes even tho he wasn’t swimming that day. OH, and i was drowning and the life guard didn’t save me. a stranger had to save me. please watch your friends if they can’t swim because the life guards are to busy flirting with the girls in the pool. but besides that, it’s a big pool, it’s free to go in. only rating it 1 star because why hire a life guard when he’s just sitting there talking to everyone and not being alert of his surroundings to make sure no one is drowning. smh

Kevin Rose: Don’t come to this pool!! I came here on Memorial Day, so of course I knew it would be packed and kinda crazy. My locker was broken into, the lock was stolen, and my wallet and my friends wallet were stolen. Our cards were taken to target and immediately blown up with charges. Loud, crowded, unsafe!

Rosy Beauty Secrets: Pretty cool but the bathrooms are dirty though, the curtains will make wanna 🤢, seeing people walking barefoot in the bathroom and swimming in the pool turned me off lol. Other than that it’s pretty nice there

Tiana Lynn: DC resident of 35 years and lived in the neighborhood all my life and this is my first time here. I love it. It wasn’t too safe here way back when, but it’s good now lol

Avital Ornovitz: Love this pool!! The 50 meter lap lanes are great because even when you share with multiple people, there is enough length that you aren't on top of each other. Don't bring valuables in, when I was there last week a woman's bag was stolen while she swam. Mornings are the best time to come, it gets crowded in the afternoons.

Peyton Doyle: Awesome perk of living in the District. Public pool that is huge, clean and plenty of seating– but get there early or you’ll be laying on concrete. Attracting a wide array of District residents, this place remains a staple in th swampy summers.

inteking1888: It's a public pool so there's no need for too much scrutiny or praise. Has two pools one being a separate shallow pool for kids, the other being a large grand pool good for laps as well as chilling out. My favorite thing about this place is, since alot of the neighborhood kids are running around out of their minds, the staff are too busy making sure none of them end up going belly up to watch out for my tall boy cans of malt liquor. CHEERS!

Timothy Aguirre: Great pool, but short staffed. Had to stop swimming due to lack of lifeguards.

saahib aalim zafir: Banneker Pool is a great place to go during these hot summer days. The pool attendants are friendly and its not far from McDonalds if you have a desire to cool the pool munchies.

Bethesda Outdoor Pool: what do users think?

Robin Majeski: Really love swimming laps in the large lap pool. There is another larger pool and kids and families seem to really enjoy it. Plenty of green space, chairs, covered table areas, and benches. Friendly people, too. It can get quite crowded on weekends and holidays and parking may be difficult during these times.

Diana Tolstyga: The pool is totally unreliable - it can be randomly closed without any notifications and explanations. Several times we came there during its working hours and there was none at the reception desk, no notice, the gate was closed and the phone wasn’t answering 🤷‍♀️

rio o.: a pretty decent pool, pretty clean too with a few leaves here and there. definitely recommend to go on a weekday since it’s less crowded. they also have a lap swim, diving board and small slide. i’ve been here twice and would definitely go again.

Olivier Elias: Pool itself is nice enough and clean but the surroundings are in bad need of maintenance: toilets and showers are dirty and run down, the building looks like it could collapse every minute. Seating area is nice though. Staff presents a mixed bag: people at the door and ticket desk and really nice and helpful but most of the lifeguards are rude. I witnessed a man asking the lifeguards why the swim aid for his kid was not approved and they started threatening to have him evicted and arrested by the police. The pool rules are extremely illogical and just enforced at will by some lifeguards who constantly abuse their power by shouting and whistling at random without explaining anything. It's a nice pool but the lifeguards kill all the fun with their condescending behaviour. Not fun for kids either since they are not allowed to take any kind of inflatable or other toys and get shouted at the moment they have fun.

Jiaqi Peng: I had a bad experience. I came here to swim laps, and no one told me there was an adult swim session. There aren't any signs either. I don't think it's fair to the kids who is here for serious training and swimming laps. I’m not here to play. I had to wait until the adult swim time was over to get in. I also strongly advise you to put up a sign. I got yelled at by a lady for not knowing it was adult swim time, because there was no signs.

Stephen Eveleth: Ok pool ran by staff on a power trip. Apparently you have to have a local ID- Military ID does not work, even though it’s miles from Walter Reed. They will force you to pay 150 for a seasonal pass. Apparently you also can’t leave to grab Ice cream from the ice cream man who pulls in the parking lot without repaying admission to the pool… even though they let everyone else do the same and their concession stand is closed for the year. Decent pool, just annoying staff

Victoria Chipa: My boyfriend and I went to Bethesda pool, because Grosvenor place where I live don't allowed outsiders in our pool because the covid19. Bethesda pool is very spacious and beautiful, I used to take my son there when he was an infant.

joshua moores: Nice size pool - with adjacent pool for kids 5 and under. My 11 year-old daughter has grown up going to the pool. The larger pool has a transition area for kids who are not confident swimmers...they can easily swim to the larger area when ready.

Leli Romero: Loved the size of the pool! Even on a crowded day, the pool was big enough for everyone to enjoy, while still having enough space you actually swim. The life guards keeping kids in check, making sure they follows the typical public pool rules was a nice touch! But get here early, parking can be limited.

Kathryn S: Lovely pools, and has a great lap pool. However, year after year, unclean bath house and toilet areas reflect negligence and lack of pride in appearance. Lifeguard attention seems adequate although some guards tend to bark at pool goers and occasionally show inadequate respect for fact that folks may not be attuned to how we run pools here.

Adelphi Pool: what do users think?

Steve Spencer: Just a great low key pool with lots of space. Also some of the best people to be around. Super friendly.

Andrew “Buddy” McLaughlin: It's an affordable, safe, clean private pool with a mellow atmosphere and a strong sense of community. There's always a place to relax and enjoy the quiet afforded by proximity to such a large cemetery. There is often a breeze, people grilling and shade in the afternoons.

Mac Adelman: I’ve swam at this pool with my club team and the pool is pretty much a mess. The pool is dirty as it has grass and algae and paint chips in it. The lane ropes break a lot. Everything just seems old. At the end of the day, though, it gets the job done.

Cora Jackson: The main issue I have with this pool is the floating debris and hair. However, you'll find this at pretty much every pool, so there's not too much to complain about.

Kevin Deustachio: Adephi pool is a non-profit community-run seasonal pool. It is members-only, but membership is open to everyone. The pool is huge (50 meters) with two diving boards and a sweet slide. There is also a kids pool, volleyball and a fire pit. The pool hosts lots of events throughout the summer, including campouts, crab feasts, a big fourth of July party, teen nights, and movie & raft nights. ... The swim team is open to all comers but is still very competitive in their league (they went 5-0 in 2013). The Adelphi Dolphins are what I want for my kids' teams: everyone participates, everyone works hard and everyone supports each other. Training in a 50-meter pool is a great workout. ... My family has been coming to this pool for four years and we are really looking forward to this summer!

Jason LaGarde (stefien): Nice pool. Big, with lap lanes, two diving boards and a slide. Also a kiddie pool. Wish there was a playground in the area. And more umbrellas to use.

Adrian Limmen: First impression was great. Just a nice pool. Clean and friendly. I generally don't like public pools but this one is nice.

Latifa Boyce: long course outdoor pool! nice place for summer swim meets!!

Unidentified Hahaha: Great pool. Lots of things to do. Good diving boards. An awesome slide that is high and slick.

Brian Friel: Great private pool. Not crowded. Very clean.Members only

Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool: what do users think?

Yvonne: Absolutely beautiful. The perfect place to take a walk and to enjoy the day. Not many words can capture the whole feeling and vibe when strolling along.

Jose Ortega: Does it get better then this place? Sure the water is not that clean and there are so many people trying to take selfies that it can get nuts at times but if you go early in the morning, you can have the whole place to yourself. Walk around and just take it all in. Put the phone away and just enjoy it.

Saad Althabiti: Fabulous place to visit and have a nice walk, especially in the winter :)

Joered05: This place is very nice looking. The pool itself is very large and properly taken care of to maintain its clean looking water. The pool can be seen from the Lincoln Memorial and other structures in the area. I would reccomend walking by this pool if you get the chance!

Rodrigo Gonzalez: It is a fantastic place. The view is amazing. You can feel a very good vibe just by watching the landscape.

Naseer Faheem: Although we went on a cloudy evening, still lots of places to see.

James Walker: Great views from the Lincoln Reflecting Pool. Location for lots of iconic events, ceremonies and celebrations. Latest visit was during the unveiling of the new statues, commemorating the President's Dogs.

John Muhlhauser: I absolutely enjoyed my visit! Even though there is a partial government shutdown I saw no signs of trash or negligence here. It wasn't crowded so it made for some really good pictures to be taken. Also a good place for a walk, jog, or even just sit and admire the views

Rachel Milito your Realtor: The reflecting pool is a great walk and beautiful scenic views! Definitely recommend waking around the area and viewing the large fountain also. Loved seeing the veterans in this space as well it was heart warming. 💓

Kailash Mongar: What a amazing place to visit. Limited parking, be prepared to walk and have some water. Love to visit in coming days

High Sierra Pools: what do users think?

Alexander Melnik: Worked as a lifeguard here. Company made a comfortable international reception, relocation and housing. High standards and work ethics: payments always on time, continuous assurance on pool quality and safety. Overtime rates for working on opening new pools and hours above weekly norm. Company also went extra mile to arrange my last payment in special conditions exceeding their obligations. 5/5

Taryn Burchett: HS is truly dedicated to the service they provide. They are prompt, attentive, and quick to resolve. They’re competitive in price and provide such strong peace of mind as a property manager that utilized their services. Daniela is the best. She is always on top of everything our community needs. It feels as through we are their only property when we most certainly are not! Thank you so much for your hard work. It is truly appreciated

NutGodz LLC: Location: LA fitness Wheaton Lifeguard company: High Sierra pools This is absolutely unacceptable, came in at 5am Black Friday, mind you the gym closed at 12pm yesterday because of thanksgiving I was there that day aswell. So this nasty stuff in this whirlpool has been in there for over 17hours during closed hours where they could have cleaned it up, found the log book for the lifeguards that are responsible for keeping the pools/spa clean and they haven’t logged a draining or cleaning since October 14th(first page and it didn’t even have a cleaning that day) it sucks cause I love this location because it has this amenitie aswell as sauna and steam room. I really wish they would clean the aqua side of the gym a more often especially post Covid. I still like this gym even tho it’s a little outdated. Hope to see the spa get a deep cleaning soon.

curtis pilcher: I have been a life guard for 10 plus years as a supervisor for more than 15 properties and have certified more than over 400 lifeguards through the red cross. Courtland towers have the most unprofessional lifeguards I have seen. The guards were using the tube as a foot rest. Eating next to the pool in the stand and on there phone while In the stand. I understand that this is a summer job but the level of negligence is unreal and puts patrons in danger.

Michael “MikeDZ”: Okay, place to work. The supervisors are really good — upper management is lacking from my own experience working there and colleagues. Overtime will not be paid so be careful (even if they claim they do, I worked more than 10 hours a days and never got a penny of overtime). The locations were okay but hours are long and monotonous.
Response: Hi Michael, thanks for sharing your feedback! If we can help with any pay issues, please contact our HR department at jobs@highsierrapools.com. Overtime in our states is paid after 40 hours in a week, not a set number of hours per day, but we would like to look info this for you. Thank you and we're glad to hear good feedback about our supervisors.

S T: Positive: Professionalism, ResponsivenessExcellent experience. They were quick to respond and help us get our pool back online within 24 hours.Service: Swimming pool equipment maintenance

Carol O.: Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueI have been using High Sierra since 2015 and have always been happy with the level of professionalism and customer service I receive.Services: Swimming pool summerization, General repairs & maintenance, Cleaning, Swimming pool water analysis, Winterization, Swimming pool automation and controls repair, Swimming pool filter repair, Swimming pool general plumbing repairs, General construction

Kimberly Mcdougal: This is our 4th season using High Sierra Pools for our community. Their management team is friendly and very personable. Communication is excellent and all requests are responded to quickly. Milos and his team are top notch!

Marta Kowalczyk: Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueGreat company, professional approach, great managers and employment conditions. I highly recommend HSPServices: Swimming pool summerization, General repairs & maintenance, Cleaning, Swimming pool water analysis, Winterization, Spa & hot tub installation, Swimming pool automation and controls repair, Swimming pool general plumbing repairs, Swimming pool cover repair, Hot tub test soaking

Anonymous Flaw: For last 3yrs or more I been going to La Fitness now called Esporta and every other week or month the pool or spas heater is not working or pump broke. I had 5 spine surgeries and rely on this as my only exercise and physical therapy and pain management. I cannot take pills. I cannot tell you how many times over the yrs that I arrived, changed and came to the pool door to find the sign, "spa not working, heater broke" or pump and this is no exaggeration. Covid restrictions just ended, spa just reopened AND BROKE TWICE AND IS DOWN NOW. MANY OLD PEOPLE AND DISABLED LIKE ME HAVE ONLY THIS AS A FORM OF PEACE. IT IS SAD THAT YOU DO THIS TO MILK MONEY FROM COMPANIES. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEIR LIFEGUARDS DO NOT CLEAN EITHER WELL. THEY SIT ON THEIR PHONES WITH THE DOOR OPEN SO THEY CAN CATCH A COOL BREEZE, MAKING POOL AREA TEMPATURE DROP AS THE POOL DOOR IS NEXT TO ENTRANCE AND WE ARE IN NIAGARA FALLS NEW YORK. NIAGARA FALLS BLVD.

Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center: what do users think?

Bianca Hutton: Bring your own locker room lock and slippers for locker room/shower areas - the floor is unfinished concrete and pretty gross. For a top notch swim facility the locker rooms and shower leave much to be desired. Pool is nice, lots of extras for kids from baby to early teens and competitive swimmers, but on a Sunday evening for family swim it was a madhouse and incredibly crowded. Lots of parents sitting on the sideline with bags and towels watching their kids swim. Vigilant lifeguards emptied the pool when someone “went to the bathroom” in the water.

Vanessa K: I joined last month to get some pool time for my shoulder rehab. I used to swim regularly at the Y until the pandemic. The facilities are great in terms of the pool and gym but minus a star for no towel service and the locker rooms could get cleaned more frequently to prevent hair build up. They're not awful, but could be better. I chose to join over rejoining the Y because of the flexible membership options. You can get 10 or 25 visits instead of a monthly membership. Out of county the cost is comparable to the Y, for Arlington residents the pool is a great deal, but if course they pay taxes for it.

Shannon Israelsen: Brand new and beautiful, the Long Bridge Aquatics and Fitness Center is a nice addition to Arlington County. The locker rooms are nice - I’ve only been in the multi-person this far. I appreciate this because it allows my husband to come along and help get our two toddlers ready for swim class. It is odd, however, that there are no benches by the lockers to sit anything on or sit down on; I suppose this is because they want people to change in the actual changing rooms within the locker room for privacy reasons. The swimsuit dryers are a nice little touch in the locker rooms. The facilities are very nice and the pool is fine. There could be a lot more to the play area for children and it feels like it is really lacking. The really cool-looking slide is only open on weekends, maybe, and has a pretty tall height requirement without the option for littles to ride with an adult - a huge bummer when there isn’t much for the kids to play on otherwise. The water temp is a little cool. My kids (and others that I’ve observed) come out of the pool shivering after swim lessons. Also, having to pay for parking is ridiculous! There is a need to restrict parking so that commuters don’t fill up the lot, but they could offer free one or two-hour parking! They’re already charging to use the facility, so it’s just another way to make money and it’s annoying. I was pleased to learn that my child’s swim lessons came with a parking pass to use, but anyone coming and paying to swim or workout shouldn’t have to pay to park. Overall, Arlington could have done better, but it’s better than not having anything at all.

Kimberly Martin: Love this place. Was excited about the hot tub, then noticed all the other amenities I like in a gym, even a rope machine. Nice to be along the bridge path to get in a little triathlon training, able to manage all there sports. Only thing missing is an indoor tract (unless I didn’t see it). Pools and community centers are free in DC for DC residents, more than happy to spend my money here. So worth it!

Jennifer Coyne: We went for the Family Play Time on a week day right when they started at 9am. The metered parking lot was $5.25 for a max of 3 hours and there were plenty of spaces available at that time and when we left shortly after noon. The changing areas were pleasantly surprising compared to the older Rec Center ones I've been in previously. They have Women's and Men's, but also a space for all genders with multiple enclosed changing areas with a toilet and shower. The lockers themselves were spacious and had loops for people to use their own personal lock with. The changing rooms were fantastic for one or two parents bringing multiple children. I felt totally comfortable changing everyone out of their wet swim wear afterwards while keeping an eye on all my kids. The oldest kids were able to use the toilet safely in the room with us while I helped the younger ones out of their gear. While we were all in the private changing area, I didn't have to worry about my kids inadvertently staring at strangers around us changing their clothes. The changing areas all seemed cleaned and well kept for that time of day. One thing to note that the kids found fascinating was a small spin dryer we found on our way out of the locker room. It was only big enough for one suit or a couple small kids suits, and does not dry them completely. Rather it will spin the excess water out while someone holds the top down. We had to allot extra time for several kids to try out the fancy device. The recreation area, while on the smaller side compared to outdoor recreation pools, was fun for all the kids in our group ages 2 through 9. The pool area was fairly empty around 9, but by 10 more family started to come in. The prime time on weekdays seems to be from 10-12. There was still plenty of space for everyone when during those later hours. Every member of our group thoroughly enjoyed our time and would definitely go another time.

Michael Hunter: Great facility for swim lessons. Copious family changing rooms. Separate recreational pool and 50m / 25 yard (depending on the configuration) pool. The county offers swim lessons here through Parks and Rec, and they go pretty well. Also, the facility has exercise equipment and rooms. It does get crowded, which I suppose means it is a success.

Adam Stryker: Great facility. The pools are top notch, state of the art. Professional lifeguard staff. Friendly and knowledgeable staff at check in. The place screams cleanliness! Swimmers observe excellent swim hygiene by showering in the lockeroom or on deck showers before they enter the pool. BOEING 50 METER POOL: 1️⃣ Chlorine and pH levels are excellent. 2️⃣ Water temperature is a very comfortable 78 degrees F I would estimate. 3️⃣ Typical configuration is bulkheads divide the pool into 3 sections of 25 M swimming lanes. Depth from 3 feet to 14 feet in the diving well. 4️⃣ Deep end has a 10 M platform 3 meter platform and dual 3 meter springboards and dual 1 meter springboards. Mostly used for swim and diving competitions. 5️⃣ The two time clocks on both sides of the pool for current time and interval training tell you that this pool means business. 6️⃣ It's most busy in the late afternoon and evening. A dozen teams train here and the Masters too. It sort of feels like warm up time at an international, invitational swim meet. 7️⃣ The actual building with the fitness center closes at 10 pm on weekdays. However, the pools close earlier. 8️⃣ Lifeguards blow the whistle to exit the pool at 9 pm. I assume the gym then closes an hour later. Make a note of this before heading over. 9️⃣ Lockeroom have showers, swim suit dryers, toilets, hair dryers etc. As others have said, the floors could bea finished concrete or tile for a cleaner look sand feel. Feels unfinished. Otherwise, it's very clean and sanitary. Well maintained. Arlington's Pride and Joy!

Andrew Schlegel: The facilities are definitely top-notch, but getting a lane is another story. AAC reserves the whole pool for an hour, but they take 2/3rds of it for the remainder of every evening, the practical effect of which is standing around and waiting to share lanes with people who do not know how to share wide lanes. Go at a different, less busy time? Oop only one life guard so 2/3rds of the pool is shut down, which is especially frustrating when you walk by the admin office packed with staff sitting at computers. For the price, you do a lot of waiting. Also, be careful if you arrive on a bike. The crowd of Tesla and Porsche parents in a hurry and ready to mow over other swimmers is sizeable.

CIintcia MacTavish: Beautiful center… my both kids take swim classes there.

Maria Stoica: I would love to take my baby here for a swimming class, but unfortunately there is no public transportation at this center. Arlington county website claims there is public transportation to this location, but a half hour walk, part of which is quite unpleasant, does not seem accessible to me. Additionally, why would they put a huge parking lot in FRONT of the venue so that as a pedestrian you have to cross the entire parking lot to get to where you need to go. Such poor planning/design. Very disappointed in Arlington County.

Michelle Lemon: Pool is fantastic for littles plus there’s a playground, basketball court and field!

maria johnson: Me and my grandchildren really enjoyed ourselves the field was beautiful and the people were so nice I love our city thank you DPR.

justrenia23: Big area for my daughter to ride her scooter, lots of seating and adult workout area, tennis court, basketball court and soccer field

MrandMrs Mateen: Perfect outdoor pool for small children, toddlers.

Saj Popat: Small field with track, basketball court, and kids playground next to the pool.

James Salt: Great little park with soccer field, basketball court, playground, indoor rec center with air hockey and restrooms. There is a small swimming pool open in the summer, but the staff is somewhat indifferent to customer service expectations.

Dre Hunter: The Life Guard is amazing very helpful Thanks For the Support today for my nephew's Birthday

Angel Myrick: There was bloody teeth sitting next to the poolside. Also bandaids in water and friend got an ear infection with tons of water in her ear after it.

Diana Delgado Vélez: It is very nice but some afternoons and during weekends are several teenagers smoking inside the park. They do not care about babies and children.

Paul Montesano: The pool (like a warm bath) is nice for little ones when it's about 150 degrees. Weird/thoughtless design makes for an unnecessarily crowded space.

Ying Shen: My son worked for this company last summer and it was really good company to work. He had very two very good supervisors. However, its HR is really a joke. They sent out job application online with a non-secure server. This is in violation of confidentiality its employees personal information. This could result a huge reliability to the company itself in addition to its own employees Update The company is responsive to my concern -- and it has fixed the job application portal --- for that I have the review revised.
Response: Mr. Shen, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are glad to hear that your son had a great experience with our team last summer, and we are looking forward to working with him in the 2022 Summer Season. Please note that the safety of the personal data of our employees and applicants alike is our priority. Once you've reached out to us, our IT team immediately started working on resolving the issue with the system, and we were able to address your concerns swiftly. The portal is secure, and we also added additional safety measures to meet and exceed the standard for security. If there is anything else we can assist you with, please reach out to us at your convenience.

Justin Hamilton: I liked working for Sunset Pools last summer of 2020. I was looking for a job since I graduated college last spring. The office staff, regional manager, and cluster supervisors were great at managing people. I have been a lifeguard, pool manager, and roving operator(managers substitute) in the past years. The apartment complex pools worked out well to lifeguard as I wanted a job with minimal supervision and a supervisor oversees me at my worksite. I was new to this company this summer and I had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend working for this pool company.
Response: Thank you for being a part of our team, Justin! We are happy that you enjoyed your time as a Lifeguard and we look forward to working with you again in 2021 season! You were a great asset to our team and we thank you for always being ready to assist patrons, management and Sunset Pool team to provide the best swimming pool experience.

musayab razaq: I loved how the lifeguards treated me. Overall fun place to be at.
Response: Thank you so much for your feedback, Musayab.

Kerri Sarembock: Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueWorst pool management company. No disrespect for the lifeguards themselves but they seem to never show up on the sunny days on time or give notice to my building. They begged for my buildings but never deliver on promises. And all they need to do is show up especially on a holiday weekend. Pathetic and disgraceful.
Response: Greetings Kerri, Thank you for your feedback. We share your frustration about staff, as we had many challenges in recruiting, hiring, and disciplining employees. This year we continued to operate under the added strain of the COVID-19 pandemic and tried doing our best to provide service for the contracted properties. Unfortunately, many candidates who could have potentially work, refused to do so because they received the additional unemployment benefit which resulted in higher pay than if they would have taken a job. We offered one of the highest pay rates in the area and people were still not interested to work. If you know someone who would be interested to work in your area in the summer of 2022, please spread the word as we would be thrilled to hire excellent candidates.

Aubrey Katherine: I loved working as a lifeguard this summer for Sunset Pools. The training and certification processes were accessible and quick even during the pandemic. The pay is great and the staff is very kind, I would definitely like to work here again next summer.
Response: Thank you for being a part of our team, Aubrey! We really appreciate your hard work and dedication to keeping all patrons safe. We look forward to working with you again in 2021 season!

Carina Shalkivski: Had a great time working at Sunset Pool Management the summer of 2019! The staff are very welcoming, friendly, and understanding. Sunset Pool Management will make sure you have the best work experience and allows you to have a flexible schedule. Being a lifeguard teaches you not only patience but communication skills and gets you closer with the community. Sunset Pool is definitely the best swimming pool contractor in the DMV area.
Response: Dear Carina, Thank you for your feedback and outstanding work performance! We are happy to have you on our team of awesome lifeguards! If there is anything we can do to assist you, please feel free to reach out!

Julianna Kim: Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueI have had the pleasure of working with Sepehr and the team and Sunset for several years and am continually impressed with the services and responsiveness. I highly recommend Sunset to anyone looking for year-round pool services!
Response: Dear Jualianna, Thank you so much for your feedback. We strive to provide the best service for our clients and we are hopeful that we will have the opportunity to work together for many years to come!

Reza Shafaie: I have been working for Sunset pools for more than 3 years now. Every year I come back and work here for summer due to the friendly and amazing environment. Every year I learn more and more and I am able to help my community and make it a safer place. Sunset Pools is one of the best companies in NOVA due to the fact that not only they provide jobs for teenagers over their summer break but they also insure the most maintained pools for the safety of the people.
Response: Dear Reza, Thank you for being a part of our awesome team! It is always a pleasure working with you! If there is anything we can assist you with, please feel free to reach out.

Alexandru Palamarciuc: Sunset Pool is a great company to work for! I've been working here for past few months, and all pool locations that i worked for are upscale hotels and nice communities. Supervisors are very helpful and I actually have friends who work for them and are extremely satisfied as well. I recommend this company for anyone who is planning to apply!
Response: Dear Alexandru, Thank you for your review!

Don Miller: They are hired to manage Saxony Square's pool for the 2021 season. Life guards late or don't show up at all. They do not enforce pool rules nor do any cleaning. Our pool deck is littered with leaves, sticks, weeds. Chairs are in disarray. Gard is more interested in paying attention to his cell phone.
Response: Hi Don, Thank you for providing your feedback. Unfortunately, 2021 operations continue to be heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic which limits our ability to hire and recruit candidates. There are very limited number of job seekers applying for the Lifeguard positions, despite the fact that we have drastically increased the payrates this year. Our team is working hard to discipline our employees and make sure that everyone follows the policies and rules, however, we are not always successful as people may just quit and find employment with a different pool company. We thank you for your patience as we continue to work through the challenges of this season.

DC Department of Parks and Recreation: what do users think?

SIR Stock Is Rising: Had me on hold for 30 mins just for no one to pick up the phone. The HR department is a complete joke. The people who answer the phones have a huge attitude problem and make it seem like your bothering them when you call. And thats if you are lucky enough for anyone to answer the phone at all. Horrible experience and my questions still have not been answered.

Urban Capitol Photography: No one answers the phone and when they do the person you need to speak with happens to be at lunch and they don’t know when they’ll be back. How are these government employees? Very unprofessional to say the least.

Allison P.: No one ever answers the phone.. I’ve called twice and been waiting on hold for over 20 minutes each time.

MoneyCounter_28f: Very unprofessional I called to inquire about several positions this morning & been calling for a week to check the status of my applications & the customer service lady Vanessa I believe keeps saying the same thing they are reviewing applications. we are suppose to be helping our people & Dc is suppose to be uniting but they are not helping each other seek employment or going above & beyond to help or even do they job I’m so disappointed!

Andrea Williams: Have left several messages with DPR and no one has returned the call. I continue to call and get voicemail each time! Does anyone work there?

Olivia A. Chase: DPR takes on an intergenerational approach with my family and many families like mine. I am a grandmother raising a grandchild. They generate many programs that are suitable for this type of family. As an example, DPR has various Swim Teams in all 8 Wards of Washington, DC. DPR not only organizes Swim Meets each week; in addition, transportation to the Swim Meets is also provided making it possible for families to engage in the swimmers activities. This also allows families to participate as time keepers or to volunteer their time and energies in various other and sundry ways. Personally, I was ecstatic to be able to CHEER MY SWIMMER ON TO VICTORY!!

idell morse: Does anyone work here?? Today is Thursday 12/28 and I've been calling and leaving messages since Tuesday with no return call.

Eva Salvetti: Pools close because it's TOO hot? Not posted in your website. Always such a mess! When are you guys going to get it together?

Monica Sukhatme: I've called over 10 times and left messages. Nobody has bothered to call me back. Does anyone work there?

Gregory Jackson: I've had a great time at DPR, especially DPR Rec Day when we got to play Bubble Soccer for the first time! Thanks

Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens: what do users think?

Madhu Kalepu: Located near DC, Maryland border. Plenty of parking and not so crowded when we visited during long weekend. Place is great for Beautiful nature walks, picnic tables and fresh air. We have spotted Turtles, baby Turtles, Cranes, various birds while doing boardwalk. Garden closes at 4pm and the entry is free. Restrooms located at welcome center

Rebecca Wolf: Each season at Kenilworth is something to behold! In winter, you'll see an open expanse and a swamp in quiet rest. Spring starts to bring greenery and new life. Summer is a steamy explosion of tall and colorful lotuses, lillies and more! Egrets, herons, deer, turtles, fish, insects and more can be found here, especially if you come during the day when it is more quiet. This National Park is a secret oasis in Washington, D.C. - bring your visiting family and friends for a walk through the ponds and across the boardwalks on the Anacostia River. You can even connect to walk on the DC trail system. In summer, be sure to come for the VERY popular lotus festival, filled with world crafts, foods and so much more. Be mindful of the closing time and plan for at least an hour to walk these grounds.

Life in La Plata: One of my all-time favorite parks: so much beauty. You can look at the plants around the ponds, or the ones growing in the ponds, and you can try to spot wildlife in the water and the trees. There are bike paths on the far side of the park (if you drive). Plan to go early, the park closes at 4pm.

Ash Pouvaranukoah: An awesome place to be! The place is crawling with so many types of critters. Restrooms are nice and efficient. Definitely a great quiet place to bring family, friends, or just yourself!

Jill Cobb: It was a nice winter/early spring walk along the ponds and boardwalk. Nothing was blooming, but we saw turtles, frogs, and fish. Seems like summer is the time for the flowers.

Lisa Gump: I came to the gardens with a group of students and it is a beautiful Park to visit. I will admit though that it was tough for us to find. We AR not from the area and it is not easy with all the construction to get here. The park is worth the navigation woes. There are lots of things to see and do.

Connie Massaro: This is a unique aquatic garden in the DC area. Best time to visit is in the morning. The water lilies and the lotus are spectacular. There are different small ponds where they grow the lilies and the lotus. Bring your cameras!!! There is also a boardwalk and trails along the river.

Dave Park: As of about two weeks ago (7/17), the lotus and lilies were about 60% bloomed and I’d say all of them should be good for viewing now until mid-August. Beautiful flower blooms all around, so don't miss your chance this summer! 🤙

Steven Esquina: The place was really nice lots of plants with beautiful lilies, frogs, deer, even foxes if you are really lucky will scurry about there are smalls docks that you can walk on to get close to the water where you can see ducks there is even an elevated platform where you can see the whole pond!!

Sam Chen: A nice place to spend several leisurely hours. The time I went there the water lily was not quite blooming yet, it must be beautiful when it does.

Washington Sports Clubs - Columbia Heights: what do users think?

Kuntal Sen, MD, FACMG: My poor review is due to following reasons: My trainer left abruptly without notice. I was charged for cancelling my session with him even though it was their fault. I have disputed the credit card charge. They are infamous for wrongly charging customers and fraudulent activity. They implemented covid vaccine card policy which was nice but didn’t inform customers. I and others was treated very unprofessionally by front desk during this day.
Response: Kuntal, We're sorry to hear of your less than satisfactory experience at our Columbia Heights location. We hope you will accept our sincerest apologies. We are committed to providing a great fitness experience, and we would like to make things right. Please send us an email to Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com so that we can determine how we can provide you with a solution. We value our customers' opinions and thank you for bringing this to our attention. April: Personal Training - Thomas Harrington After being out of the gym for a while, Thomas was much needed. He is kind, engaging, patient and knowledgeable just to name a few. What I really like about him, he takes the time to explain the whats and whys. It doesn't feel like he's just "doing his job". Thomas goes above and beyond to explain the mechanics in layman's terms. After each session I walk away having learned something. He loves what he does, and he's happy to pass it on. Thomas gets 10s from me.
Response: Hi April - thank you for taking the time to submit this positive review of Thomas! We love hearing that our team is making a different in our member's lives. We have shared this feedback with the club team. We hope you continue to love your sessions and we will see you around the club! Thanks again, HereToHelp@tsiclubs.com

Luke Brown: Thomas Harrington was the trainer I needed! Thomas has revolutionized my workout regimen and level of fitness. Not only am I noticeably stronger and more toned, I also have greater self-confidence in the gym, better kinesthetic awareness, and a bevy of workout routines will demonstrated results. Thomas has been a strong balance of expertise and care for me. He frequently spent additional time showing me an alternative exercise, checking-in about my hesitations, or demonstrating an additional stretch for a lingering ache. I actively looked forward to our time together, and I will apply his instruction for years to come. I had been hesitant to pay for a personal trainer, yet investing in my time with Thomas has been a massive personal victory. I would recommend Thomas to anyone hoping to build more effective workout routines, prevent or recuperate from an injury, or develop their confidence in and around the gym. Whether you are looking to fine tune your workouts or turn more heads, I'd invest in time with Thomas.
Response: Wow Luke! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for our Columbia Heights location including amazing feedback for our trainer, Thomas! We will be sure to pass along the feedback to Thomas and the rest of our team. We hope you continue to enjoy your time with him and we will be seeing you around our club! Thanks again, HereToHelp@tsiclubs.com

Conor O'Reilly: I had a personal training session with Phil and he did a great job! He taught me a lot about free weights and stretching. Now I feel more comfortable to use the more advanced equipment. They also have a pool, sauna, and basketball court. Love this place
Response: Conor, Thank you for taking a moment to leave such a positive review for our Columbia Heights location and sharing your experience with our personal trainer, Phil. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your personal training session with him and feel more comfortable with using the equipment around the facility. If you ever need anything, please do not hesitate to reach out to HeretoHelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks again, Here to Help Team

Terry Chasteen: I joined on a special rate, maybe it was 2018. Due to my own fault, I never used the gym ... not once. I cannot blame that on anyone else, however I would have thought with a new client in a business like this, someone would have reached out; invited me in for a tour, found out why I was paying monthly but never using the facility. No one ever contacted me for the full year that I was billed. That is not the worst part, however, Even though it was NOT in the contract, they automatically renewed my membership without my approval and not only at my original rate but almost $30/mo above. This went on for a year since I never used that credit card and it was paid monthly automatically by my bank. Only bc of sething else on the card did I notice the fraudulant charges and they were too old for my bank to recover.
Response: Terry, Thank you for reaching out regarding your experience at our Columbia Heights location. We’re always looking to make things right. We do truly appreciate the feedback as we’re always looking for ways to improve our member experience. Thanks for taking the time to leave this review and we hope you will provide us with an opportunity to do better. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you by emailing us at Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. All the best, Here to Help Team

Benyam Ephrem: Scheduled an InBody scan a week ago (as a non-member), came in prepped for the scan (no breakfast) at 10am - front desk said they did not have an appointment asking if I received a confirmation email (I said I got no calls or emails), then made me scan a QR code on a banner to schedule for another day since apparently the person doing the scans would be in at 5pm. Frustrating experience. Will not be coming back to the gym.
Response: Benyam, We are terribly sorry for your experience at our Columbia Heights location. It is because of customers like you that we can continue to learn how to improve. We are most certainly sad to hear that we fell short. We want to contact you and learn more about your recent experience. Please feel free to send us an email with additional details to Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. All the best, Here to Help Team

Gregory Alan: Critical: QualityMediocre at best. See attached pictures below. The equipment is not well maintained and does not justify the cost of membership. Also the club hours are terrible on the weekends.
Response: Gregory, thank you very much for your feedback. We take our member's insights to heart, and we apologize for not providing you with the best possible experience in our clubs. As you know, the pandemic has presented a unique set of obstacles for most business but has especially affected the fitness industry. If you are open to discussing further we would love to connect you with one of our Customer Relations Managers at heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. All the best, Here to help team

Thaiz Alicia: Do not come to this gym!!! They do not care for your safety!! They will cancel your membership for protecting yourself from weird men that will follow you around ! Stay safe and go to a gym that will help you out and help you enjoy your gym experience instead of canceling your membership!

Mahvash Edrissi: I started going to gym a month ago, first it was difficult to come out after so long time lock down. But after few days I got used to it now i want to go there everyday. Friendy staff, and clean place, and all equipment makes this place great. I do my exercise, take a shower and saunas, afterwards I feel great about myself. Thank you wsc
Response: Mahvash, We're delighted to hear about your experience. We truly appreciate your recommendation of our Columbia Heights location. We will work hard to continue going above and beyond. As always, our team is looking forward to your next visit. We are always here if you have any additional feedback or suggestions. You can reach us at Heretohelp@tsiclubs.com. Thanks again, Here to Help Team

Bita Kh: The worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Nobody takes responsibility for the actions. They charge me with new fee membership that is more than the original one because of the mistake that made by themselves. I’ve spoke with customer service and sales department several times, everybody already aware of this problem but no action. When I follow up they send me to new person. This is absurd.
Response: Bita, We're sorry to hear of your less than satisfactory experience at our Columbia Heights location. We hope you will accept our sincerest apologies. We are committed to providing a great fitness experience, and we would like to make things right. Equinox Sports Club Washington, D.C.: what do users think?

Daniel Caroe: Almost at the end of my year membership and will not be renewing simply due to the customer service. In my experience, a good amount of the staff are hard to work with and even snobby at times and its takes multiple calls and requests to get anything changed on my account. Here are a few examples of the troubles I have had: 1) I called twice over the summer to freeze my membership for a few months while I was travelling. They said this would not be a problem and that they would do it.......I called a third time about month later to find out that they did not freeze it and were still charging me. When I told them about the first two times I called, they said they had no recollection of this happening. Kinda a waste of money for me in that case. 2) I was having some trouble with my personal training scheduling and called to get in contact with the PT Manager. I called multiple times over the course of a week and each time they told me he was busy. They assured me I would get a call back from him but this call never came. (kinda annoying he could not take the time for maybe a 15min conversation) 3) I had to cancel a PT session due to illness (strep) which they said meant I would not be charged a cancellation fee for my session. They definitely still charged me, and again, it was impossible to get into contact with the PT manager. Overall, it's a great facility but I find the staff to be pretty inadequate and kinda rude (namely a front desk person named Shaniya and one of the club managers named Dwayne). I loved my trainer Evan (highly recommend) but in the end, I feel like I could get what I need at another gym with a nicer staff.
Response: Hi Daniel, we are very sorry to hear about this experience. It's definitely not what we like to hear. Please connect with us at concierge@equinox.com. We'd love to get additional details regarding this matter and investigate, allowing us to work towards making improvements going forward. Please be sure to mention your review so we can address quickly.

David Gershman: Today I signed up and had a great experience. Mike, in membership, not only showed me around- they answered every question with full clarity, gave me far more insight than I expected, and was simply very nice and sweet. I knew I was going to get a membership going in, but it’s nice to get warmth and comfort instantly upon arrival. Felt like I was one of the regular folks
Response: Hi David, thanks for the 5 stars!

June Wade: Scheduled a spa massage for my friend’s birthday at the Ritz Carlton/ Equinox (Foggy Bottom) location. The staff was courteous and the gym was clean. I was disappointed the spa does not offer champagne or snacks for special occasions, instead we were given “swag bags” full of gym advertisements and trinkets. If you’re not a guest at the hotel, arriving early is highly recommended (parking, etc). Must walk outside to enter Equinox since elevator access to spa is for guest only. My massage therapist was (Donna) friendly, courteous but chatty. I was not interested in talking about where I live, hearing comments about my “poor”elbows🙄 or asking why my shoulders were so tight during my 80 minute massage. Unfortunately , the massage was not good (technique). Ambiance was fair in the room, there was no soothing music or waterfall fountains, just dim lights, and a cool quiet room. The warm bed with robes was a nice perk. Not a fan of the massage lotion (dry paste) used, she had to continuously spend time stepping away from the massage to reapply. I’m giving this spa 3 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️since my girlfriend had a positive experience with her masseuse. In addition, they provided a quiet space and champagne glasses for us to enjoy our BYOB champagne post massage. Would not recommend, lacks luxury for the price. $500+ ( 2 people)

Lauren Arquette: As all the other reviews said, horrible customer service. The club itself is fine, but don't try to bring a guest and don't try to cancel the membership because it's impossible and no one responds. I was a member for all of a week and tried to quit because I was told when signing up a guest of mine could come if I gave them that guests info. Gave them my guests info- they never put it in the system and turned them away at the door without even trying to investigate the problem/track down the person who gave my guest the ok. Was also told they hard certain equipment for rent when they didn't. If this was a planet fitness I wouldn't complain, but this is a $200+/month club that markets itself as elite. Nothing is elite about their customer service. Per the customer agreement you get 15 days to cancel and get a refund- tried emailing the manager for my refund, tried calling the concierge and nothing yet. I'd love to know if they actually even answer the emails they get when they respond to these complaints "sorry to hear about your experience! contact us as at..."
Response: Hi Lauren, please connect with us at Concierge@equinox.com. We would love to get additional details that led to this review so we can investigate closely. We would be happy to discuss this matter with you further if you'd like to share additional feedback. Please be sure to mention your review so we can address quickly.

TPMT Associates: Love it here as usual - they take care of the place and most importantly, the people who works out here take care of the place and is clean and tidy and doesn’t trash the place. As usual, it’s the people who come to gyms that are the messy/dirty and this place doesn’t have those ppl - not that I saw anyways!
Response: Thank you for reviewing!

John Heinemann: You get what you pay for. This gym doesn’t make sense for everyone, no one is a better person for going here, and a free gym in an apartment building is going to do 90% of what Equinox does. But the other 10%? I actually look forward to working out more when there’s both a sauna and a steam room, a saltwater pool, luxury bath products, memory foam floors for stretching, and refrigerators full of Eucalyptus infused face towels. I go for the amenities, and then I just decide to work out because I’m already there.
Response: Thanks for the 5 stars, John! Glad to hear you are enjoying our amenities.

Lena Fleischmann: Lots of amenities (pool, basketball court, steam room, sauna, soulcyle bikes...), good customer service, they constantly make improvements by adding products in the changing rooms like razors, hair ties, curling irons etc. What I don't like about it (apart from the price obviously): it's pretty much packed no matter what time you go which is annoying - wish they had a gadget in the app that would tell you how busy it is beforehand. Also, showers aren't always very clean.

Izabella Ritz: The club has a pool with saltwater which is very convenient, covid safety is great, the thing why I didn't join is no natural lights in a building, which is very important for me personally.
Response: Hi Izabella, we appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your experience. Thank you for the 5 stars and we will be sure to escalate your feedback to the appropriate teams.

Gelila Sebhatu: I called to inquiry about membership packages and I found the sales rep, Erica, a little rude and she did not directly answer my questions, which was irritating. Based on the reviews here, I’m not surprised I received this type of experience. I guess I’ll be looking elsewhere. I just wanted a nearby pool 🏊‍♀️
Response: Hi Gelila, we are sorry to hear you had this experience. We hope that you will give us another shot to show you we are capable of better service.

Ebony Williams: Do not work at equinox if you have living situation or just a situation period the manger Duane don’t care if you have living situation problems he even told one of the employees that mid shift is childish because we all going through something sorry if you hired people who have living situation or who gave problems and be careful of the Towels and hand towels they wash them in hot water only no solution that why the towels look a little dirty Yess I use to work their and got fired because I was trying to find a place to stay the days I called out because I was homeless the cleaning manger is horrible at his job and HR needs to send a Secret Santana to see how they clean the place
