Picture Frame Factory: what do users think?
Lesley Anne Warner
Lesley Anne Warner: Terrible service. Person working there was impatient and acted like the pieces I was trying to frame were cheap and that he didn’t need my money. I went to ArtFolio and spent my $3500 framing my work instead and they did an amazing job. Don’t waste your time with this place.
Robert Grimm
Robert Grimm: True artistic craftsmanship at this shop and wonderful people to work with. They have done several pictures for me now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for framing.
Response: It was a pleasure meeting you! Thank you so much for your excellent review It really means a great deal to us for you to take the time to support our small business. Thanks again! Kamran
Jillian MacMaster
Jillian MacMaster: Picture Frame Factory did such an amazing job at mounting an original piece of art to foam board. I will definitely return in the future. They are so kind and accommodating. I had a great experience!
Response: Thank you so much Jillian!! Best of luck to you on your exhibition tonight.
Rahi Patel
Rahi Patel: The Picture Frame factory did an incredible job making a custom frame for a beautiful print I purchased. They walked me through all the different options and gave me their expert opinion on what would look best. They finished the custom frame early and it came out stunning! Impeccable quality and fantastic service.
Response: Thank you so much Rahi for your fabulous review! We truly appreciate your business and support. It has been a pleasure working with you on your framing needs! Kamran
Elaine Heinzman
Elaine Heinzman: I’ve been a Picture Frame Factory customer for almost 15 years. Kamran has a great eye for the frames and matting that will not just complement, but really showcase, the art or object you’re having framed. He’s collaborative, thoughtful, and detail-oriented about what you might be looking for. The work they’ve done on dozens of pieces I’ve brought in is incredible.
Response: Thank you Elaine for this incredible review! It means so much during this challenging time for small businesses. It truly has been a pleasure working together to achieve the perfect look for your beautiful artwork throughout the years. Kamran
Inna Rubin
Inna Rubin: They do such beautiful work! I’ve had six pieces framed here and each one turned out wonderfully. The owners are also genuinely kind. They even helped me carry my newly framed pieces out to my Uber.
Response: Inna, it is always a pleasure working with you on your awesome pieces. Thank you for taking the time to write this wonderful review!

Plaza Artist Materials & Picture Framing: what do users think?
cq ny
cq ny: With Plaza Artist Materials I found a strong competitor to Blick. A great selection of notebooks for sketching, drawing and watercolor that I used to only find on Amazon but now I can buy here in person. Stop by this store for sketching, drawing and painting supplies. They also have canvases and supplies for oil and acrylic art, knitting, and other art mediums that look interesting. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Prices seem reasonable.
Will Edwards
Will Edwards: Has frames and some basic art supplies. Nothing super special
Jon Fisher
Jon Fisher: Fantastic store with a great selection of products and very helpful and friendly staff who helped us find everything and give us advice on which materials to purchase for an art class.
Laura P
Laura P: The store was bright and clean, with helpful but not intrusive or hovering staff and a very good selection of watercolor paints, paper and brushes, and many more things that I did not peruse as carefully. I had a groupon, which was awesome, since I could easily have spent much more than I did. Definitely worth checking out!
Waldo Strange
Waldo Strange: Helpful staff, good assortment of products, clean and well organized. They have a loyalty program that is free to sign up for. Dinged a star, though, because their prices are a bit high in my opinion. Would like to see better deals at least on store brand things.

Framebridge Union Market: what do users think?
Tim Macchi
Tim Macchi: Great staff. Always super helpful. Some days they are definitely understaffed and you might have to wait. Prices are very reasonable and I’m happy with how my stuff has turned out
Response: Thank you for the kind words for our staff. We are delighted to hear that the frames turned out so well! We hope to see you again soon!
Khadija Jahfiya
Khadija Jahfiya: Disappointed in my first experience at Framebridge. I scheduled an appointment a few days in advance. When I got there, there was one person working in the store and they were finishing up with a customer. They finished about ten minutes after my appointment was scheduled to start. They then proceeded to let me know that they would be helping the next customer then would get to me in about half an hour or so. I understand the circumstances and constraints that we are all living under due to COVID but I would have appreciated prior communication if there was no intention of honoring the appointment time. I would have planned my time differently. Perhaps Framebridge can consider not taking appointments on days when they will be short staffed or on days when there is less certainty on timing.
Response: Hi Khadija, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We want to ensure we provide all of our customers with a wonderful and easy experience and we are so sorry we have fallen short of that goal. I am so sorry to hear about your experience and lengthy wait. We absolutely had every intention of honoring your appointment and we were looking forward to helping you frame your art. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were not staffed as much as normal, and we had fallen behind in assisting the customers that had previous appointments. We should have absolutely informed you of this situation, and I apologize that we were unable to call you ahead of time to let you know of our delay. We truly appreciate your feedback on this experience and we have discussed this with all of our store teams to ensure a situation like this is avoided in the future. We strive to provide our customers with an experience that is seamless and reliable, and we hope you will give us another opportunity to provide you with a more standard Framebridge experience. Kind regards,
Cory Miller
Cory Miller: What a gem of a store! I’ve loved going to the 14th st location and the Union Market store does not disappoint. Thanks to Matt for helping me frame some new artwork!
Manfred Phemister
Manfred Phemister: Lovely store!
Angie Coates
Angie Coates: Never been there

A&A Art & Frame: what do users think?
Travis Painter
Travis Painter: I was absolutely blown away by their work. I was referred here by a friend and now, I don’t think I could ever go anywhere else. I went in a bit lost and unsure of what I wanted, but Ari went above and beyond…was patient with me, and explained every option offering his expertise. Thank you so much, and I will be seeing you soon!
Vanessa J Panaligan
Vanessa J Panaligan: Top notch quality and service! Have been going here for years to get my paintings framed. Superb customer service—friendly, efficient, and very knowledgeable of the craft. Pretty good selection of frames at reasonable prices with quite a fast turnaround.
Stacy Leopold
Stacy Leopold: I highly recommend A and A. I brought in a special print to custom frame for my daughter and they did a fantastic job for a fantastic price. The owner was so helpful and nice. He did such a great job that I asked about another piece I had and he quickly came up with a great readymade frame and a custom mat, also for a great price. He knew I was leaving town the next day and he offered to try to get the framing done the same day. 2 hours later he called me and both frames were complete and both looked great. He even gave me some hooks to hang up the artwork. I felt very lucky to have found this place. Could not have been a better experience!
Margot Igland Skarpeteig
Margot Igland Skarpeteig: Great selection of frames and pieces of art, decent prices and fantastic and professional service! Thank you for beautiful work.
Mark Pietrzykoski
Mark Pietrzykoski: 1145 19th st nw.Very established fixture of the retail shops downtown DC.
Derek Summerville
Derek Summerville: Very convenient, friendly, and always high quality. Framing can be expensive so nice when it comes out exactly as you hoped.
Kevin Li
Kevin Li: Very nice people, but my custom mat there and then
Joseph Tordella
Joseph Tordella: Excellent customer service and quick work. Dropped off a custom size picture to mat and frame, and he had it done later that afternoon as perfect as I had envisioned. They do their work in house, which gives them this flexibility.
Robin Duddy-Tenbrunsel
Robin Duddy-Tenbrunsel: A & A did an excellent job cutting a new mat for and re-framing a large pastel that I bought. They completed the job extremely quickly and at a much lower price than I was anticipating. I definitely recommend them!

Framebridge 14th Street DC: what do users think?
Jessica Buckley
Jessica Buckley: Framebridge lost two out of three original artworks I sent. I had to inquire after 8 weeks of not receiving my order and they finally admitted they lost the art in the warehouse. They offered me about 300 insurance to cover the cost of the work. What a joke. I never should have sent the work in, however my local frame shop closed down due to covid. The one artwork they did frame fell off the mount a month after I got it. Do not send anything you care for or that cannot be replaced.
Response: The care of our customers’ art is always our number one priority and we are very sorry that we have let you down. While it’s always hard to hear such distressing news, we thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take matters like this very seriously. Please reach out to us at support@framebridge.com us at your earliest convenience to discuss any unresolved issues. We are here to help in any way that we can.
Britney Lewis
Britney Lewis: I’ve used Framebridge numerous times and the results are always great. I visited the store recently to frame two paintings. I wanted them to match a painting I framed in 2018 and the store associates were extremely helpful in pulling up my old order and ensure everything matched.
Response: Thank you for continuing to frame with us. We love seeing frame collections grow as people find more art and moments to display on their walls!
Keri Stoever
Keri Stoever: I went in with some license plates to frame and the staff was very helpful and super friendly. I had my dog with me and they were even so sweet as to greet him and offer him a treat. I got the same stellar service when I returned to pick up my piece. A few weeks after picking up my order, I realized I had lost the hardware needed to hang the frame and when I went back to the store, they remembered me (and my dog!) and were able to give me the nails and brackets I needed. Highly recommend and will definitely be back for all my framing needs.
Response: Hi Keri! We are so glad you liked your framed license plates. We can't wait to have you and Noah back in the store soon :)
Jmorsedc
Jmorsedc: Framebridge is the most inept framing shop I’ve ever tried. I had two pieces framed there (at the same time), and both came back looking like a do-it-yourself project from a craft store. The larger piece I had framed had to be returned three times and still isn’t correct - the individual items in the frame are crooked and unevenly spaced. It looks like the person doing the project was drunk or high. Do not use them under any circumstances.
Response: We are very sorry to hear that your frames arrived with the art not straight and evenly spaced. We do have a 100% Happiness Guarantee and would appreciate the opportunity to make sure that both of your frames are perfect. Please reach out to us with your order number. You can reach us either at support@framebridge.com or through your local retail store so that we may assist in making this happen.
Julia Miller
Julia Miller: The worst experience ever. It took two months to get two works framed. One of them was done badly so it had to be redone. My sister has had to have hers redone twice. The management at the 14th Street store also gave me attitude. This was my first experience with Framebridge and it will definitely be my last.
Response: Julia, we strive to make custom framing fun, easy, and stress-free. We are so disappointed to hear that we have fallen far short of that goal for you and your sister. Please reach out to us at support@framebridge.com so that we can discuss how to best
Griffin Duy
Griffin Duy: Very pleased with my Framebridge experience. Karen was great working with me to patiently find which frame I needed for my Suzanne Vega vintage article. Pleasant time and would recommend! :)
Response: We're so glad you enjoyed your visit, we loved having you!
Beth Mccollum
Beth Mccollum: I love this store! Charming and friendly, I came in with a framing request for a memorial for a pet that had passed away. The staff was both incredibly helpful with suggestions on what to do (ideas on how to best frame an inked paw print) but also really kind. When my framed print arrived to my house, I was very pleased with the quality and immediately proud to hang it in memory of my furry friend. I will definitely be using Framebridge for all my framing needs!
Response: Thank you so much for leaving your review, Beth! We're so glad we could help you frame a memory of your special furry friend. We look forward to seeing you in the store again soon!

Capitol Hill Frame & Photo: what do users think?
Maggie Boys
Maggie Boys: Capitol Hill Frame and Photo did an excellent job for me. I needed 20" x 30" signs printed and mounted on foam core and I had a very tight turn around time. They worked really well with my designer and everything turned out perfectly for my event.
Response: Maggie, thank you for trusting our dedicated team to get the job completed in time for your event. We're happy to hear that everything turned out perfectly. Hoping to lend a hand in the future. -Capitol Hill Frame and Photo
Alex Johnson
Alex Johnson: Unfortunately, I had a encounter where I was deeply disrespected by one of the gentlemen working here. I stopped in to pick up a custom framed gift and was treated as if I didn’t exist. I immediately approached the register to pick up the item and waited for the employees to return to the register. After returning to the register, the employee called for a customer from another area of the store who was behind me to process his transaction first and asked me to step out of the way. I don’t know if it was the fact that I was dressed casually in a raincoat and sweatpants for the bad weather or if it was a matter of his perception of my racial identity, either way, someone waiting at the register should have been helped before someone approaching the line from behind me. I give the other employee from the back of the store credit for recognizing my dismay at the treatment and asking if I was okay. This was, however, not enough to allay the micro-aggression I had experienced. I highly discourage friends and colleagues in Congress and beyond from using the services of this store. If you believe in justice, equity, and fairness, I implore you to find an alternative.
Response: Alex, thank you for taking a moment to provide us this feedback of your recent experience. I have been in business on the Hill for over twenty years and we take pride in serving all of our customers fairly. I apologize for this misunderstanding that occurred and do not want to discredit your feelings by any means. Our goal is to be welcoming to all of our customers and I can assure you this was simply a matter of miscommunication. I am sincerely sorry that you had a negative experience with us, and hope to gain the opportunity to provide our custom framing services for you in the future. Sincerely, Stuart Capitol Hill Frame and Photo
Garrett Arwa
Garrett Arwa: Came here to get a backlog of items framed. There was no wait time, and a few of the items I brought fit into ready-made frames which the they assembled for me on site. This option is recommended as it’s about half as cheap to do a pre-made frame as it is to do a custom with the cheapest frame/glass. But the ready-made frames come with a solid gram and glass, not cheap plastic. The custom jobs are not cheap, but probably about the same price as using Framebridge. Also used the wait time to get a passport photo.
Response: Garrett, finding the right framing options for your items is what we love to do! You're absolutely right that our ready-made frames are a cheaper option, so we're glad we could help you find the right ones to display your pieces. Thanks so much for the kind words about your visit here. If you need help with anything else, just let us know! -Capitol Hill Frame and Photo
Sam Rosenbaum
Sam Rosenbaum: Such a great experience getting an original art piece framed here. I reached out to ~15 local vendors for pricing and got the best deal here for a very large piece. Stuart was super friendly and helpful, and the turnaround time was much quicker than I expected. So pleased with the end result!
Response: A beautiful piece of art needs a great frame to match it, Sam! We're excited we had just what you were looking for. It was a pleasure working with you. Anytime you need us, don't hesitate to get in touch. -Stuart
Wendy W
Wendy W: This is by far and excellent place to get high quality photo prints. There’s also a large selection of reasonably priced cards and printing supplies.
Response: Wendy, thanks for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you're happy with your prints. If there's ever anything else we can do for you in the future, we'll be here for you. -Capitol Hill Frame and Photo
bryan coxwell
bryan coxwell: I took a 50 year old newspaper here to get the front page framed. The paper was brittle and looked like it could have fallen apart under the slightest provocation, but they did an excellent job preserving it and the finished product looks great. Will definitely be going back next time I need something framed.
Response: Bryan, happy we could preserve and frame a snapshot from the past! We're so thrilled you're pleased with the outcome. Looking forward to helping you again in the future. -Capitol Hill Frame and Photo
Holly Robertson
Holly Robertson: Waited 8 years to get my graduate school diploma framed. Worth the wait!!
Response: The years of hard work you put in deserve the recognition, Holly! Glad we could help you select the perfect frame for your diploma. Don't hesitate to reach out if we can do anything else for you. -Capitol Hill Frame and Photo

Art and Framing Pro: what do users think?
Royston Gilgeous
Royston Gilgeous: I had a retirement shadow box (Police badges) done. When I met John, he took time to review my request and explained what he can and couldn’t do. He reached out to a company he knows for some detailed engraving. He stayed in touch with me during the entire process. The finished product was spectacular. I highly recommend this business. Custom framing, detailed work, and great customer service. Thanks John for a job well done.
Edward Grandi
Edward Grandi: The owners took time with us to explore frame and mat options. The finished product was beautiful and I am pleased display it.
Jeremy Albrecht
Jeremy Albrecht: Wow. What an experience. I expected more but all the reviews were years old. I got a Groupon for this establishment, and was supposed to get a 150$ credit towards framing. The piece was small, only 11” x 24”, and the most basic black metal frame cost 150$. And if I wanted it matted? Another 150! Just to cut a mat! I left a negative review on Groupon based on the pricing, and the proprietor called back multiple times to tell us that he would not frame our work, and to come pick it up. My girlfriend was apprehensive to go, so I went in her place to pick up the artwork. He refunded our money and then proceeded to tell me that leaving a negative review is illegal. He said that we live in a “white supremacist country and you [I] am only able to leave a bad review because you [I] am white and rich.” Then he went on to say that I only gave a bad review because he was not white. I had never seen or talked to him before this point. While I attempted to explain the review was based on predatory pricing to get around the Groupon deal. There were several extravagantly framed pieces of art I. The store much larger than mine for less than the total of just our framing job. I complained about a 150$ mat!!!! I do not know where the racial topic came up from.
Angel Cortez
Angel Cortez: I can’t believe this place! I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I took a small piece of artwork there that somebody gave me along with the Groupon for the place to get it framed. I wanted the absolute most basic frame which was way more expensive than I thought it should’ve been. I told them I wanted to stay under the $150 amount and it seemed to irritate the guy. He wouldn’t give me any suggestions and only check prices. It’s like he didn’t even try to help me. After some price checks I settled on an ugly basic frame and cheap glass, totaling about $160. I wanted a matt, but that woulda put my total to about $360. So no go on that. I just wanted my picture protected better than it was which was a piece of plastic wrapped around and taped to it self. Picture size: 24 x 10 The coupon buyer left a review about the price and the next day this place calls and leaves a 2:24 second voice mail saying they’re not gonna work on my art and to come pick it up, along with many other unnecessary comments and opinions . Couple days later they left another extra long voicemail. When I send someone to go pick it up. They return it without a protective cover for some reason. If they weren’t gonna work on it. They could’ve at least put my piece back together before giving it back. Now it’s even less protected than it was before. If any water droplets would’ve gotten on and it would’ve been ruined. The guy was very rude. Wouldn’t just understand that I wanted something small and basic and was covered by the Groupon. Not to mention the person I sent to pick it up got Told off by the same guy.
Matthew Radomski
Matthew Radomski: Fantastic Service. Great Price. Done within hours. I had a tough request - I needed a frame and mat done for an All Star Game Ticket and 8x10 photo, and I needed it done in 24 hours. I went to 3 or 4 stores around Dupont/Downtown and only one other place said they could help me, it would be 20 hours minimum, and it would be $280. Art and Framing Pro did the frame and mat in 2 hours for $70. I rarely write reviews, or Yelp a place, but I needed to for this type of service and quality.
Jen Dickman
Jen Dickman: John at Art and Framing Pro did a great job on my framing order. He took the time to go through a lot of different options and turned around the order very quickly, while still maintaining the quality of the finished product. He had it done a full day before I needed it ready. It looks great. I will definitely return for any future framing needs!
Tony
Tony: Really great service, the owner is very friendly and accommodating.
Leah Shea
Leah Shea: Highly recommend this place. Excellent quality work for competitive prices. He will walk you through the options and make sure you get exactly what you want. Will definitely be coming back!

Highly recommended!
Response: We were happy to help! So glad you were pleased with our work. Thank you for your review.
Joshua Young
Joshua Young: Habib is incredible and maybe best prices in DC for quality work. He framed 2 large pieces of original art for me in addition to a number of smaller prints. Georgetown Frame Shoppe: what do users think?
Sean Ringeling
Sean Ringeling: I would definitely recommend Georgetown Frame Shoppe! In my search for a particular print I got in contact with Peter from the gallery. He was friendly and really helpful. Peter and his team found the print I was looking for and framed it for me. They took good care of my art piece and responded very quickly whenever I had any questions.
William Chang
William Chang: I have purchased multiple prints from the georgetown frame shoppe. Peter, Jon, Kristina, Andrew, and the rest of the crew are stellar at what they do.
Tom Reynolds
Tom Reynolds: I’ve had several interactions with Peter and his team over the years – both buying and selling/consigning. They are always extremely responsive, professional, and fair. They take exceptional care in packaging and shipping the artwork. What more could you ask for? Their collection of animation art is impressive and continues to grow. I would highly recommend them and hope to someday visit the gallery.
Charlie chancey
Charlie chancey: Andrew of the frame shop cant even make a decision on how to take care of a simple shipping problem i would not trust this shop
Daniel Vander Ley
Daniel Vander Ley: Fast FedEx delivery. Pristine lithographs, framing and smudge free glass. They clearly treat their work with care and detail. Thank you Jon and GFS team!
warhol200
warhol200: I have dealt with Peter at Georgetown frame for years. He is honest and knowledgeable. He is always considerate and will advise you correctly. Great place to pick up quality investment art, especially Andy Warhol screenprints. His prices are very fair.
Alec Sprouffske
Alec Sprouffske: Art installer failed to follow directions from designer/ elevations given. Some of the art was installed in the wrong location and the only way I was told Georgetown would fix it was to charge another install fee. I tried working out a deal through email and the fellow I was emailing with stopped responding all together. The other pieces that were part of this job were installed in the proper location per the elevation given. Thank you.
Response: Just seeing this review now. I read through the string of emails and discussed with the installer who is still working here. Tahmina showed Andrew where everything was to be installed and signed off on it. Unfortunately it was a 2 hour drive back to Manassas, VA and we could not agree to the extra charge to return to the site. If we make a mistake we own up to . We will always return at no extra charge. That is why we have been in business since 1989.
Dan Trachtman
Dan Trachtman: I needed some magazine covers framed. They were easy to work with, fair in pricing, and good at keeping in touch to let me know when things would be ready. Very smooth process, very professional operation.
Nolan Orgel
Nolan Orgel: I used to take prints, lithos and other framable artwork here on a regular basis back in the 80s and 90s. Always returned home with great new piece for the wall.
David Green

Art & Framing LLC: what do users think?
Greg Schneider
Greg Schneider: Great experience and advice with rebuilding frame and stretchers and remounting canvas for large, 95”x75”, painting. From beginning to hanging, superb craftsmanship and work!
Donya Mann
Donya Mann: I love this shop. I’ve been using Mo for a few years now for some original works and some prints. After so many conversations he knew my love for classic American pin up girl art. When he stumbled across some original Vargas Girl prints, he called me to let me know. I was so impressed by the thoughtfulness to ask me if I was interested. I was! And I asked him to frame them as well. He gave me a great deal and I am so thrilled with the result.
David M
David M: Mr. Mo is a true artist and designer. If you leave him a project he is able to make the best out of it. He is an honest man with dignity and professionalism. His core values are amazing, a good man with good work ethics. Great designer with amazing ideas. I highly recommend Art and Framing Pro and Mr. Mo as an excellent place with amazing outstanding customer service and hospitality.
Sebastian Orillac
Sebastian Orillac: Expedient and kind to a first time artwork owner. Helped me choose a frame and explained his steps in the process. Very helpful
Phillip T.
Phillip T.: Frank owner that can sometimes be a bit rough around the edges, but is comical and means well. In any case, he *perfectly*—not an exaggeration— framed two large posters/art pieces I had. Will definitely come back for custom framing.
Ida Yousofi
Ida Yousofi: Great quality for a great price! The owner Mo has a huge selection and gets the frames ready very quickly! I definintly recommend, especially for nicer photos, such as graduations, weddings, and/or family portraits.

The Frame Shop: what do users think?
Armen Can
Armen Can: Im from Florida and I visited my aunt in DC and we discovered the The Frame Shop what a great discovery. My aunt is a local artist in DC and she always needs custom framing. Great service /Great quality. They are very professional and experienced they helped us choose the perfect matting and framing for her watercolor paintings. Joe also recommended museum glass WOW what a difference the glass made it’s incredible. I highly recommend this place.
Fred Hakim
Fred Hakim: I’m an artist and I’m always looking for a good frame shop. Found this one by chance walking by. What a great find! The owner is very knowledgeable and helped me pick matting and a great frame. Made my art pop. Great frame shop. Very reasonable prices and quick turn around. I found my frame shop. Highly recommend this frame shop!
Qais Sattar
Qais Sattar: Stopped in here yesterday since the other framing store near me was closed for memorial weekend. I was helped by a gentlemen named Joe; real upbeat guy. I came in to get an estimate on framing our wedding photo and invitation as sort of a collage. I tried Michael’s before coming here and it was nearly impossible to find someone in their framing department who could help. Anyhow, Joe shared some ideas while ensuring they aligned with my desired outcome. We picked the perfect matte/frame and it was all priced pretty well. I wasn’t expecting Michael’s pricing when I walked in, since this was a professional shop and they had some beautiful pieces on display. Giving a 5 star rating based on my experience and hope the final product is equally as good!
Elena Dieci
Elena Dieci: I could not recommend The Frame Shop highly enough! I was helped by a nice man named Kal who was incredibly patient in allowing me to look over all possible mattes and frames and who outlined various options at all price-points. He encouraged collaboration and routinely checked in to make sure I felt satisfied. I could tell that the customer was his priority. I went in intending to frame only two or three pieces, but ended up framing FOUR. I was in the shop for an hour and never felt rushed -- the process was incredibly thorough. I had previously framed another piece with them and the work is BEAUTIFUL. I felt obligated to write a review this time around! Photo attached is the previous framing job. They floated a scarf beautifully, and tastefully helped me to select the blue and gold surrounding it. THANK YOU, The Frame Shop!
Emily LeBlanc
Emily LeBlanc: First time customer, great experience. Calvin recommended a great frame for a painting that I brought in. Thanks!

Picasso Gallery Custom Framing: what do users think?
Grace Tapia
Grace Tapia: This place has the best quality in framing!! There are infinity types of frames to choose from. Rojyar is very professional and has a great taste in art. Highly recommend.
Madeleine M. & Steve S.
Madeleine M. & Steve S.: Phenomenal work. We brought in our wedding ketubah, which I had put off getting framed because I wanted to make sure I found the very best place to bring it. Abdi is incredible; he made excellent suggestions and walked us through a variety of different framing looks. When we were ready to make our decision, he wrote up estimates for all of our options so we could clearly see what we were getting. The final result was gorgeous and brings us so much joy every time we look at it. We also brought him a second piece, which looks fabulous as well. And, in the time of Covid, everyone was masked and seen by appointment only. Highly, highly recommend for any regular or precious framing needs!
Molly Campbell
Molly Campbell: I have tried other places in D.C. and I am never as happy with the final product than when I go to Picasso. They take their time troubleshooting the best mat, frame, and price. They always look at pictures of the space to help me get the perfect match. I have never been disappointed; I consider them “my framer”!
Athan Manuel
Athan Manuel: Our go-to frame shop. We’ve had more than a dozen items framed there and each item has been perfect.

sticky balls
sticky balls: We got custom frames done for our whole office building and the service was amazing, the lady who helped us out was super nice , the prices were the best we found in the whole DC, the quality of their frames are also really good. Really recommend this place.
Susan Holloway
Susan Holloway: I recently had 8 pieces of original art framed using museum glass for an upcoming exhibit. Jose A. was extremely helpful and professional, listening to how I wanted the art framed, and ensuring that the job was finished on time. I am extremely pleased with the service and product delivered.
Faizan Ba1g
Faizan Ba1g: Got my sons diploma done from them and they did an absolute amazing job, the staff was super friendly and gave me the best price in the dmv area.
Kris Juncker
Kris Juncker: Having collected quotes for projects from several framing shops in the area. This one always has the best prices and excellent service.
Terminate_XZ
Terminate_XZ: The price was really good. Got all the paintings for my office done from them.
Andrea Rabi
Andrea Rabi: They did horrible job with the 3 paintings I left to be stretched. All were wrinkled, and one demaged in the corner. I didn’t even want them to redo the work scared they would damage my art pieces even more.

Picasso Gallery Custom Framing: what do users think?
Cynthia Cramblett
Cynthia Cramblett: I am very impressed with the frame selection and guidance of the expert advice of the staff at Picasso Gallery. As a first time custom frame client, I was thrilled with the work and can’t wait to hire them for future framing needs.
Annick Benavides
Annick Benavides: Absolutely fabulous customer service and quality framing. Locally owned and operated. I came into the store with a particularly challenging project and they worked miracles to save my art work! Plus, the price came in under the original estimate! Cannot recommend enough.
Cate Sadler Anderson
Cate Sadler Anderson: Picasso framing and Rojyar did a great job with the pieces I wanted framed. They turned out great. The frames had metal plaques incorporated in them, and Rojyar was able to accomplish it exactly as requested. Rojyar also was really good about communicating the status of my project over text, which was helpful and appreciated. Picasso is not inexpensive, but if you want it done right and you want framing that is extra special, you have to go to Picasso! I will be using them again.
karen proctor
karen proctor: Had a wonderful experience at Picasso Gallery from the time I called for a appointment to receive my frame. The customer service was amazing and the quality of work was even better. I was assisted with selecting a frame for my painting and having it delivered personally because of COVID. I would definitely recommend their business and use them again.
Huy Nguyen
Huy Nguyen: I am very pleased with my experience at Picasso Gallery Custom Framing. I got two pieces framed at Picasso Gallery Custom Framing for a fair price and they came out amazing! The man who worked with me was straightforward and was also receptive to my requests. He even managed to get a blot out of the matting of one of my pieces and fixed the bottom of a frame of my picture that fell. Very grateful for the service he provided and I will definitely be coming back to get my other pieces framed!
Sarah Pauley
Sarah Pauley: Picasso Gallery Custom Framing is an excellent framer. The owner has helped me with sentimental paintings and handled everything with care. He has always been very honest about whether an item is fixable. I highly recommend Picasso Gallery Custom Framing for all your framing needs!
Kevin Nawrocki
Kevin Nawrocki: The best in the business As everyone knows there are no shortage of framing options in Washington DC. We had worked with several different framers in the area and Rojyar at Picasso Gallery is the best! Great options, the best service and able to provide insight into any framing job. It has come to the point that we will never go anywhere else to get something framed. We know the work done at Picasso Gallery will be the best there is.

National Portrait Gallery: what do users think?
ReCreate Artworks
ReCreate Artworks: This is the best art gallery in DC in my opinion. It’s beautiful, unique and calming. There’s an atrium in the center that provides a dreamy place to sit and rest. My favorite thing about this gallery, however, is that there’s conservationists you can watch at work. When you walk into this museum it’s like being in a different world. Each space creates such a unique atmosphere and is breathtaking to say the least.
Klau Pao
Klau Pao: The Gallery is amazing, you will probably spend 2 hours there. It has very beautiful portraits, one of my favorites was Gilbert Stuart painting of George Washington and everything related to Abraham Lincoln as well as the amazing portrait of the Supreme Court Justices! Wow what a place to put on my memory box! I loved it!
M J
M J: I really enjoyed the National Portrait Gallery which shares buildings with the American Art Museum (they each have a side on both buildings). The Hall of Presidents was excellent. I really enjoyed seeing the 2022 Potrait Contest and enjoyed voting for my favorite Portrait. There is a 50 year Anniversary exhibit for the Watergate Scandal and we almost visited on the actual anniversary so that was cool. There are a lot of different portraits of Americans on display and they are pretty randomly spread out between the rooms. All in all, expect to spend 1 1/2-2 hours at this part of the museum. I will say, some teens and kids who are not the most intellectually driven may find it boring as there are not interactive exhibits.
Ukvayat Hanak
Ukvayat Hanak: The National Portrait Gallery gets 4/5 for all the exhibit areas that are closed right now. Many renovations going on! So many varied exhibits though. A great place to host a catered event. Check em out!
Kathy W
Kathy W: Museum is really big and has so much to see. We spent a good amount of time at kogot courtyard which happens to have orchids displays. Beautiful and fun place for people of all ages. Parking was somewhat challenging but really worth the trip.
beyondTabu
beyondTabu: This museum is really nice… but this review isn’t about the museum directly. It’s about the staff/security. We’ve been to several other museums and they all seem to have the same attitude. They yell/scream at you from across the room, to not do something or that you’re breaking their rules (that aren’t clearly posted anywhere). It’s very disrespectful and unprofessional. This mentality seems to be widespread in all the museums recently. It’s like they’ve had no customer service training at all. They have a little power and wield it unabated. It upsets our day really makes us not want to visit the attractions.
Joshua Russell
Joshua Russell: This is one of our favorite museums in DC by far. You get a wide array of art here on three floors. This is located right in Chinatown across the street from Capital One Arena with two entrances. One thing to note if you are being a bag it has to be worn in front of you at all times. We recently came here and I would say my favorite areas were the special exhibition of the dual artists and their stories. They show one piece of art from the artist and tells the story of their connection. They have a Jackson Pollock called Heading West which was really neat to his art before the drip style. Another favorite was the Hung Liu portraits, the way she did them is nothing I’ve seen before and really showed great expression. I also enjoyed the social Justice exhibition as it covered a wide variety of areas and include very moving stories. I highly recommend coming here and spending a couple hours browsing.

Julia Moss
Julia Moss: What a great surprise. A members based gallery also featuring other local artists. I was greatly impressed with the wide range of themes, mediums and styles of this eclectic group of artists. I had a pleasure speaking with the staff and look forward to returning for their 2nd Friday monthly gallery openings. Stop in for a look and spark up a conversation to learn more about this great D.C artists hub.
Response: Thank you!
Nargess Karimian
Nargess Karimian: It was my first private art show experience. Really enjoyed myself. The gallery lights the artwork quite nicely.
F E Downey
F E Downey: Shows are always well curated. Gallery is well administered. As a Co-op, artists pay annually to exhibit here. So milenium or other young artists rarely exhibit here. Great Downton DC location - on south border of Shaw District. City Center two blocks away and great restaurants on every block. Used to have monthly first Friday openings, so always a diverse, large and interesting downtown crowd. Recently changed to Saturday afternoon openings (1:00 PM to 3:00 PM), so no downtown crowd, mostly elderly suburban crowd. Need to rethink time of openings to attract younger art buyers. Check out shows; a few really good artists exhibit here at very reasonable prices. The rest of the exhibited artists produce average works, probably because most have or had full-time jobs in another professions (i.e., part-time artists).
Peter Putterman
Peter Putterman: Love places to exhibit and promote the arts.
J. Anderson
J. Anderson: There is an eclectic selection of artworks from local artists. It was nice to browse the variety in the gallery.
Michael Lai
Michael Lai: I had an awesome time here. Depends on the event, there could be a wine tasting going on. Small venue, but resonating work pieces. Artists are occasionally on site to talk about their works and you can negotiate prices on buying.
Response: Thank you, please stop by again! Touchstone Gallery management.
David Ford Jr.
David Ford Jr.: I like to go to Touchstone for their first friday shows, the first Friday evening of every month. The art is refreshingly interesting and the staff at Touchstone are nonpareil

National Gallery of Art: what do users think?
Terry Bexton
Terry Bexton: AWESOME art. Absolutely unbelievable to witness these masterpieces in real life. I was astonished by the gift shop as well. Most people that know me know that I LOVE gift shops, and this one was definitely one of my new favorites. It had all the different art related things a person could think of. Absolutely would recommend this gallery to any art lover.
R Lin
R Lin: I’ve been to the Gallery of Art a few times now, and it really just never gets old. It would also take at least one entire day to truly get through everything that’s there (the museum is HUGE, and has more than one building), so when I say it never gets old it’s the honest truth. There’s something new pretty much every time because there’s a back corner or section you accidentally missed the previous time. This place is beyond easy to get lost in. It’s definitely an iconic Smithsonian, and worth seeing. But again- this place is massive! Schedule a big chunk of your day if you want to see a lot of it, or else prioritize the works you want to see and grab a building map to help you stay on track (there’s a good chance you’ll still get a little lost). You get to see some true, original and iconic pieces here. I think it’s also fun seeing where the Gallery got the pieces from. If you’re at all a souvenir person you’d better also visit the gift shop (again, view the building map and follow signs because it can be tough to find). Love this maze of a museum!
Shravya Boppana
Shravya Boppana: FANTASTIC! This is a great place to visit for all ranges of art lovers! It has such a wide range of art that is a ranged in an easy to digest walk through. The interactive guide through the app can help with understanding the history behind the artist and art, which is great for people who are just beginning in the art scene as well. It is a must visit!
Evan S
Evan S: A free museum with so many fabulous paintings! The Van Gogh selection was amazing.. if you have time check it out! It was so easy to get in and out.
Kevin Shim
Kevin Shim: No entry fee. Wear a mask. This museum has a good collection of art. From early Rennaisance to modern. Da Vinci, Raphael, Vermeer, Degas, Monet, Degas, Rothko are the highlights of this museum. It’s laid out in a way to showcase how our perception of art has evolved over the years. The East building holds all the modern art. The underground concourse that connects the West and East building is worth checking out.

Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum: what do users think?
Kersten Chisti Dryden
Kersten Chisti Dryden: We went to see the Burning Man exhibit. Beautiful gallery, with lots of different rooms. We easily spent 3 hours in here, there was so much to take in, on all sensory levels. Lots of interactive art, including a VR experience, and a carved wooden chapel with little pieces of wood that you can write to loved ones who have passed, and add to the exhibit. Very well produced, all together.
Pakeezha
Pakeezha: This is one of my favorite museums. It’s easy to get there and pretty small and they change their exhibitions in every few months which makes you want to go and visit more often. It’s always fascinating seeing the new designs. it can get crowded at peak times but they control the amount of people that can enter which is very nice.
Miss Guided
Miss Guided: I visited the burning man experience. My niece and I wanted to be the simulator experience. The nasty worker said was very rude and nasty. Other than that the exhibit was amazing. I cannot take people’s action in account for how wonderful the museum is. Definitely a must see!!! It wasn’t too crowded on the Monday we went which was Labor Day. It was difficult to get some good picture of the mushrooms because of the crowds but still enjoyable. The exhibit is very tranquil and nice.
Ashton Menefee
Ashton Menefee: Really cool museum to hit when in DC, awesome rotating exhibits. We saw the Burning Man, Dustin Farnsworth, and Crime Scene Diorama exhibits on a few visits. It’s an easy walk from anywhere in DC, close to the White House, and worth a stop if you want to see something different.
K A
K A: I visited the Renwick Gallery with my family last fall and i was impressed with all the beautiful and extraordinary exhibits. The David’s best temple caught my gaze with its glow and I also love the disrupting Craft. A great museum rich in history and packed with lots of exceptional crafts. It’s a must see if you are visiting DC. I highly recommend to all tourists, locals, craft and art lovers.
H J
H J: The burning man exhibition was on when we attended and it was a really good one. The space within the museum was used really well and the exhibits combined interactive, traditional and contemporary style pieces that appealed to the whole family. Definitely worth a visit once you are done with the White House! Recommended
