Picture Frame Factory: what do users think?

Lesley Anne Warner: Terrible service. Person working there was impatient and acted like the pieces I was trying to frame were cheap and that he didn’t need my money. I went to ArtFolio and spent my $3500 framing my work instead and they did an amazing job. Don’t waste your time with this place.

Jillian MacMaster: Picture Frame Factory did such an amazing job at mounting an original piece of art to foam board. I will definitely return in the future. They are so kind and accommodating. I had a great experience!

Plaza Artist Materials & Picture Framing: what do users think?

Will Edwards: Has frames and some basic art supplies. Nothing super special

cq ny: With Plaza Artist Materials I found a strong competitor to Blick. A great selection of notebooks for sketching, drawing and watercolor that I used to only find on Amazon but now I can buy here in person. Stop by this store for sketching, drawing and painting supplies. They also have canvases and supplies for oil and acrylic art, knitting, and other art mediums that look interesting. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Prices seem reasonable.

Framebridge Union Market: what do users think?

Khadija Jahfiya: Disappointed in my first experience at Framebridge. I scheduled an appointment a few days in advance. When I got there, there was one person working in the store and they were finishing up with a customer. They finished about ten minutes after my appointment was scheduled to start. They then proceeded to let me know that they would be helping the next customer then would get to me in about half an hour or so. I understand the circumstances and constraints that we are all living under due to COVID but I would have appreciated prior communication if there was no intention of honoring the appointment time. I would have planned my time differently. Perhaps Framebridge can consider not taking appointments on days when they will be short staffed or on days when there is less certainty on timing.

Danielle Alexander: Very helpful!!

Framebridge 14th Street DC: what do users think?

Griffin Duy: Very pleased with my Framebridge experience. Karen was great working with me to patiently find which frame I needed for my Suzanne Vega vintage article. Pleasant time and would recommend! :)

Julia Miller: The worst experience ever. It took two months to get two works framed. One of them was done badly so it had to be redone. My sister has had to have hers redone twice. The management at the 14th Street store also gave me attitude. This was my first experience with Framebridge and it will definitely be my last.

Capitol Hill Frame & Photo: what do users think?

bryan coxwell: I took a 50 year old newspaper here to get the front page framed. The paper was brittle and looked like it could have fallen apart under the slightest provocation, but they did an excellent job preserving it and the finished product looks great. Will definitely be going back next time I need something framed.

Sam Rosenbaum: Such a great experience getting an original art piece framed here. I reached out to ~15 local vendors for pricing and got the best deal here for a very large piece. Stuart was super friendly and helpful, and the turnaround time was much quicker than I expected. So pleased with the end result!

Art and Framing Pro: what do users think?

Jen Dickman: John at Art and Framing Pro did a great job on my framing order. He took the time to go through a lot of different options and turned around the order very quickly, while still maintaining the quality of the finished product. He had it done a full day before I needed it ready. It looks great. I will definitely return for any future framing needs!

Matthew Radomski: Fantastic Service. Great Price. Done within hours. I had a tough request - I needed a frame and mat done for an All Star Game Ticket and 8x10 photo, and I needed it done in 24 hours. I went to 3 or 4 stores around Dupont/Downtown and only one other place said they could help me, it would be 20 hours minimum, and it would be $280. Art and Framing Pro did the frame and mat in 2 hours for $70. I rarely write reviews, or Yelp a place, but I needed to for this type of service and quality.

He did a masterful job of guiding through the process. Could not have been better to work with. This is the framer you want to work with!

Austin F.: Best framing work in the DMV area. Habib went above and beyond to help me design custom framing. He was patient, provided numerous options and ideas, offered competitive pricing, and completed the items promptly. Exceptional service and the highest quality of craftsmanship. Thank you Habib and team!

Phillip T.: Frank owner that can sometimes be a bit rough around the edges, but is comical and means well. In any case, he *perfectly*—not an exaggeration— framed two large posters/art pieces I had. Will definitely come back for custom framing.

David M: Mr. Mo is a true artist and designer. If you leave him a project he is able to make the best out of it. He is an honest man with dignity and professionalism. His core values are amazing, a good man with good work ethics. Great designer with amazing ideas. I highly recommend Art and Framing Pro and Mr. Mo as an excellent place with amazing outstanding customer service and hospitality.

The Frame Shop: what do users think?

Emily LeBlanc: First time customer, great experience. Calvin recommended a great frame for a painting that I brought in. Thanks!

Qais Sattar: Stopped in here yesterday since the other framing store near me was closed for memorial weekend. I was helped by a gentlemen named Joe; real upbeat guy. I came in to get an estimate on framing our wedding photo and invitation as sort of a collage. I tried Michael’s before coming here and it was nearly impossible to find someone in their framing department who could help. Anyhow, Joe shared some ideas while ensuring they aligned with my desired outcome. We picked the perfect matte/frame and it was all priced pretty well. I wasn’t expecting Michael’s pricing when I walked in, since this was a professional shop and they had some beautiful pieces on display. Giving a 5 star rating based on my experience and hope the final product is equally as good!

Picasso Gallery Custom Framing: what do users think?

Molly Campbell: I have tried other places in D.C. and I am never as happy with the final product than when I go to Picasso. They take their time troubleshooting the best mat, frame, and price. They always look at pictures of the space to help me get the perfect match. I have never been disappointed; I consider them “my framer”!

Grace Tapia: This place has the best quality in framing!! There are infinity types of frames to choose from. Rojyar is very professional and has a great taste in art. Highly recommend.

I am extremely pleased with the service and product delivered.

karen proctor: Had a wonderful experience at Picasso Gallery from the time I called for a appointment to receive my frame. The customer service was amazing and the quality of work was even better. I was assisted with selecting a frame for my painting and having it delivered personally because of COVID. I would definitely recommend their business and use them again.

Kevin Nawrocki: The best in the business As everyone knows there are no shortage of framing options in Washington DC. We had worked with several different framers in the area and Rojyar at Picasso Gallery is the best! Great options, the best service and able to provide insight into any framing job. It has come to the point that we will never go anywhere else to get something framed. We know the work done at Picasso Gallery will be the best there is.

National Gallery of Art: what do users think?

R Lin: I’ve been to the Gallery of Art a few times now, and it really just never gets old. It would also take at least one entire day to truly get through everything that’s there (the museum is HUGE, and has more than one building), so when I say it never gets old it’s the honest truth. There’s something new pretty much every time because there’s a back corner or section you accidentally missed the previous time. This place is beyond easy to get lost in. It’s definitely an iconic Smithsonian, and worth seeing. But again- this place is massive! Schedule a big chunk of your day if you want to see a lot of it, or else prioritize the works you want to see and grab a building map to help you stay on track (there’s a good chance you’ll still get a little lost). You get to see some true, original and iconic pieces here. I think it’s also fun seeing where the Gallery got the pieces from. If you’re at all a souvenir person you’d better also visit the gift shop (again, view the building map and follow signs because it can be tough to find). Love this maze of a museum!

Kevin Shim: No entry fee. Wear a mask. This museum has a good collection of art. From early Rennaisance to modern. Da Vinci, Raphael, Vermeer, Degas, Monet, Degas, Rothko are the highlights of this museum. It’s laid out in a way to showcase how our perception of art has evolved over the years. The East building holds all the modern art. The underground concourse that connects the West and East building is worth checking out.

Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum: what do users think?

K A: I visited the Renwick Gallery with my family last fall and i was impressed with all the beautiful and extraordinary exhibits. The David’s best temple caught my gaze with its glow and I also love the disrupting Craft. A great museum rich in history and packed with lots of exceptional crafts. It’s a must see if you are visiting DC. I highly recommend to all tourists, locals, craft and art lovers.

Pakeezha: This is one of my favorite museums. It’s easy to get there and pretty small and they change their exhibitions in every few months which makes you want to go and visit more often. It’s always fascinating seeing the new designs. it can get crowded at peak times but they control the amount of people that can enter which is very nice.
