More than that, he MADE the birthday party! The kids couldn’t stop laughing, screaming and giggling at each trick. As a parent, this made a huge difference for the birthday. The show was roughly 40 minutes and every bit of it was hysterical for the kids. I only wish we could have him back next year — not sure how to top this birthday!

MaiLien Le: We just had The Great Zucchini perform at my son’s 5th birthday. He had the kids enthralled from the second he started his performance until the very end. The kids attending ranged in age from about 2-7 (most in the 4-5 year range) they all had a blast, laughing hysterically and participating in all of the games. He made sure everyone felt included and it was very clear that he understands how to captivate this age group. My son said it was “the best day ever” and asked when he could see The Great Zucchini again. It was a wonderful time, worth the hype and worth every penny to see the joy in all of the kids faces.

Dana Clerkin: Spider-Man Stu was the greatest addition to my 4-year-old grandson’s birthday party. He and his costume were both in great shape and he was a delight and engaging with every child. Always in character with a positive demeanor to us all. Posed for photos, gave lots of attention to the birthday boy, let the kids climb on him and wrestle him and made all activities work for an indoor, January birthday. Girls and boys loved him!
Megan Vorthman: We had a wonderful experience with superhero Stu! He performed as Spider-Man at my children’s 3rd and 5th Birthday Party. He came early, set up and had some one on one time with the kids before the party started. He made sure we got all of the pictures we wanted and kept all of the kids, which were all mixed ages from 3-10 years old, engaged throughout the party. Thanks for such a memorable party!
jessica batten: Superhero Stu is amazing! There are not enough stars to rate how amazing Spider-Man (Ivan) was. The kids and parents absolutely loved Spiderman, most importantly the birthday boy. Multiple kids at the party said it was the best party ever and they had the best time ever. Parents commented on how amazing and awesome impersonator Spider-Man (Ivan) was from his appearance, his Spider-Man’s voice, and all the cool and fun activities he had for the kids. He stayed engaged with the kids and kept their interest. He even jumped in the bouncy castle with the kids and had an impromptu game of hide and go seek hiding the birthday boy. I can’t say enough great things. He was worth every penny. I am a picky mom and I was more than pleased with the turn out. I would definitely recommend Superhero Stu and use him again in the future.
Skyelar Riseling Haith: Superhero Stu is a must for any superhero-loving kids birthday! Spiderman showed up and kept 20+ four and five year olds entertained for an hour!! He even engaged the birthday boy and his brother while we set up by letting them be his assistants. They loved it! His set up is fun and vibrant and would work indoor or out. He took time for posed pictures before the party with my son as well as group pictures with all the kids before Spiderman vanished. He even had a Spiderman action figure for the birthday boy, which is still one of his favorites!
Jzaleh Abbasi: We really lucked out with getting SuperHero Stu booked for our 4 year old’s birthday party. Stu was very professional and accommodating to my changing event schedule. Day of the party, he arrived extra early to set up his starions, which we really appreciated! As Spider Man’s helper, ahead of the party, he was interactive with our son and let him play with some of the superhero gear and tag along during setup. In costume, he was great at taking on the room full of chaotic kids & getting the our event and kids organized for super hero training activities. He had a lot of props and activity stations and the kids really had a blast. Highly recommend, as we felt he went above and beyond for our event needs. Thanks!

Jenn Flax: My experience with Princess Parties of DC was amazing. We had to reschedule our daughter’s birthday three times because of Covid and then a snowstorm. Each time Jacklyn was so accommodating and flexible. When the party finally happened, Elsa, Anna and Spiderman were amazing. They ran the party for an hour and a half and made things easy on us and wonderful for the kids. They sang, danced, read to the kids, did tattoos, nail polish, crafts, and answered all of the kids’ questions. I am so grateful for the wonderful party that we had with them and can’t recommend them enough!

It felt like a party for adults and the princess took over and did a great job doing so. I would definitely recommend. Jacklyn was so easy to book with. We got sick our first party date and she allowed us to reschedule. Just a great company overall. Totally undervalued and I don’t mean just monetarily. We will be using them again for sure!

Sue Agraviador: We had a great experience hosting a birthday part for my 4 year old with Mad Science Washington DC. Communication with staff was flawless and everything happened as planned. We had a group of 4 kids and they were entertained for the entire duration of the session (almost 1 hour). I found that very impressive. The adults were entertained as well. We have a small townhome and the Mad Scientist was able to set up in our kitchen table. Wonderful experience! Highly recommend it to anyone.

I loved that she made new friends (even though I sent her with her classmate), learned, had lots to talk about to us when they came home each day, and were tired. The counselors seemed good and Wil, the Director, was Fantastic. As a first-time summer camp mom, he was super responsive, understanding, and helpful. Knowing what I know now, I will definitely be signing my kids up next summer. Thank you!

I was so hurt because the casino was our main feature. I then called Steve from Showbiz and in 1 hour Steve had a truck to us full of casino equipment and dealers he did this in an hourrrrr . The dealers were amazing funny and professional , Steve the owner even picked up dealers with no cars and brought them to the event AND he stayed as the pit boss . Im so grateful for them saving our event at PayPal . He is the best and we will never go with anyone else for any casino event because Showbiz Showed us they can do it all. Sheryll M: These guys were so much fun!! We had a blast tonight at a party they entertained! They did a really fun Baby Shark set that matched the theme, balloon animals, and face paint! They were so understanding and patient with the kids! They kept the party fun and lively. We were shocked when they stayed another 30 minutes on their own accord just to make sure all the kids had a turn with the face paint. If you’re thinking about booking them, do it NOW! So worth it!

My daughter was a bit shy at her bday at the beginning but as soon as Minnie Mouse arrived, my daughter danced with Minnie and started to open up to all of us. The two cast members were highly enthusiastic and entertaining throughout the whole hour with greeting guests, engaging our little kids to a dance party with popular kids music, singing happy birthday and to top it off the face painting and balloon art was super fun for the kids. We had to make a change in date and they made everything effortless and seamless. The princesses were so authentic and professional, and took control of the party. Elaine Flores: I LOVE them. I contacted them just a couple of days before the party and I got a response just a few minutes after I sent an inquiry. They came to the party on time but my guests were not ready and they adjusted their time a few minutes before coming in (I appreciate that a lot!). My daughter is super SHY but they managed to engage her with the activities and the makeover (she look and felt like a princess!) The kids love them. My favorite parts are when the princess read a book to the kids and the moment she gave her necklace gift to my daughter. I think that is adorable! I will recommend them 110% and will hire them again and again.

Nathan Peoples: TOTE was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. The salesperson Karen was extremely responsive and personable . She saw that I was able to get the inflatable event I desired the same week of my event. The delivery driver,Justin, was on time and friendly and setup everything up. I never had to worry about anything during the whole process. The inflatable I rented for my younger brother’s party was fun for everyone. I will be recommending their services to my friends and certainly using them again.
Jessica Chen: TOTT Events made our Fall Formal at Georgetown University a success! I want to especially call out Karen, who saw this project through from the earliest inkling of an idea to the complete buildout of an amazing event. Karen communicated through all channels (phone, zoom, text) and personally made sure that the event went off without a hitch. She also offered her industry experience in designing the event, choosing the decor, as well as timing the setup for the day of the event. Details: The theme that we chose was A Night in Monte Carlo, and the venue was the Washington Plaza Hotel. We hosted about 500 attendees.
Nicole Saulsbury: Talk of The Town is incredible! In the midst of the pandemic they have been offering services to promote normalcy for everyone. This year we utilized their virtual Santa meeting for my three children (1, 3, and 5 years old). The whole experience was amazing. My children were so happy they got to “see” Santa! Santa put on quite the show and the kids absolutely loved it. In the past we have also used their moon bounces and water sliced for kids birthday parties and they are also such a hit! I would highly recommend Talk of the Town to anyone who asks!

Keith Shanklin: I never write reviews, but Talk of the Town deserves one! I had an absolutely perfect experience with them renting a dunk tank for my kids 16th birthday. I had never done anything like this before and was so hoping that everything would go smoothly and that the tank would work as I expected it to. IT DID! I was able to have my parents pick it up with their pick up truck on their way to my house on the day before the party, we used it all the next day for the party and returned it the following day. Everyone got dunked and we had a BLAST!!! Dealing with Karen at the office was so easy and she was totally professional and responsive. I would recommend Talk of the Town to anybody!
Amy K: Steve was so responsive to our initial request and sent us photos and options to select the perfect Happy Birthday yard sign. He showed up early to assemble and sent us photos of the lawn via text (we live out of state) to make sure it was up to our expectations. It was! Cost was so reasonable considering how much joy this brought my father in law. Thank you Talk of the Town! We will be calling you again for the next Maryland family member’s birthday :)

Kim Brown: I have no words for how amazing working with Knightrin entertainment was and how key he was in making our wedding top notch. Communication was consistent and he made the entire process super easy. I looooved the app that he gave us to organize all our favorite music and all the events throughout the night. It gave me such peace knowing he was in our corner. I had no idea who was going to run the day and organize all the events so I was super nervous thinking I was going to have to do it all. But with the help of Larry and other amazing guests and my wonderful husband, they made everything go off without a hitch. For any future brides and grooms, you can’t go wrong with hiring him for your day. Prevent a ton of stress and go ahead and get this marked off your “to do” checklist.
Mel C: My wedding was a bit hectic and my wedding planner doubled booked that day so she was MIA. He was great. He managed to keep the night flowing well. He made sure to talk to the caterers to time things correctly. My wedding planner really made a mess of the seating chart but Knightrin really worked to make the day run as smoothly as possible. He was available to make the playlist and adjusted when things were not running on time. Honestly really happy with his service. He also handled my overbearing African parents well!

Larry was a professional throughout the process and went above and beyond. He exceeded my expectations and the price was more than fair given I was on a budget. All my guests raved about the DJ...the music was on point. I was able to create a playlist and Larry read the crowd and played accordingly. Larry (DJ Knightrin) has an expansive music collection and is able to accommodate many different genres such as Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, Soca, Reggae, Techno, Funk, Country, Alternative, Blues, Jazz, Rock, Gospel, etc... He was timely, friendly, and provided excellent customer service. He knows how to create and direct the atmosphere necessary to keep the audience entertained. His prices were reasonable and well worth the services I received. I highly recommend this business!
