United States Capitol: what do users think?

Zay McCullough, MSW, LCSW-A: This was the last major attraction I saw during my one week trip here from 12/28/21 to 1/4/2022. You can see the Capital Building from several blocks away. I actually remembered I needed to stop by because I saw it after exiting the Children’s Museum. It was a little after 5pm when we made it there. We say the reflecting pool, which is wider but shorter than the reflecting pool between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. Unlike the latter, the Capitol’s reflecting pool isn’t easily accessible to stuck your feet it. The view, however, was still nice. This was my first time being in DC since I was in elementary school. It was extremely awesome to see the Capitol building. It was ironic that I had just watched Olympus Has Fallen on TV in my hotel just a day prior. Unfortunately, the perimeter of the building is gated off due to the events that transpired a year ago. I’m saddened to see that public access still isn’t available. Of course COVID is an added barrier to tours. Going inside is something that I wanted to do. I did not go to the visitors center that is close by as my son was ready to go back to the hotel, lol. There was a large Christmas tree in the lawn area between the capital building and the reflecting pool. Many people were taking pictures and appeared to be having a good time. I was grateful for the experience because I talked to my son (8) about what goes on in the building, the legislative bodies, and etc. I’m sure he’s forgotten everything we talked about but he can say he seen it in person whenever he does learn about it in school.

Ganindu Madhawa: A place where one can probe into the political history of USA.It is an iconic place and you need to reserve tickets beforehand visiting the place. You will be provided with a guide who give descriptive analysis of the architecture of the place and historical events. 😊

Yusra Nabeel: Such a great experience visiting one of the US symbols. Great place with beautiful reflection in pool.

Ali Shajarizadeh: This beautiful building is a must-see for everyone who visit Washington DC. The building has a long history. The place is where many important decisions were and are made that affects the world.

Nas Sol: The in-depth history of this iconic building is grander than I expected! A true beautiful from the exterior to the interior. I got a sense of appreciation after leaving from here. It can get very packed though so it's recommended you start your day early to beat the crowd. A must see when you're in DC!

Stephen Butler: My first time taking the tour. Our Representative arranged a VIP tour. It was very small and personal. There’s no cost, but if your going to take a tour book it in advance. It takes about 3 hours or so. It was worth the time. Please hit “Like” if this was helpful. Thanks.

Ben Henderson: Really enjoyed the tour inside the Capitol building. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Really interesting history and beautiful inside. Liked the fact you can then walk through a tunnel to cross over to the library of Congress which again was beautiful.

Keith Roussel: Visiting the Capitol building is fantastic experience. I visited with my family and it was a great opportunity to see some of our nation's history as well as the seat of power of the legislative branch. We booked a tour in advance from out state senator Ted Cruz. Our tour began at his office in the neighboring senate building. From there we took the underground trolly to the capitol building. Our tour guide took us through the various parts of the capitol biding explaining the building, decoration and history. After the tour we were able to view the senate and house of representative chamber. Each was unique. The House had a live reenactment of typical chamber proceedings which was nice, but once the reenactment was finished, we had to leave. The senate on the other hand had no reenactment, but we would stay as long as we like. I sat therefore a while attempting to etch the experience in my memory, which I personally valued more.

blade Galletta: This is a must visit in Washington D.C. The capital building is absolutely gorgeous. In the spring time there are many flowers and trees surrounding it to make it even better. The fountain in the front is very unique and perfect for pictures with the building. They have gates up with guards so you can't get really close. I think they do tours but you would have to research that on the website.

Isabelle Tran: Beautiful architecture from the outside. Recommended to book in advance for a tour. The park outside is a beautiful place to relax after a long day of touring, including some cherry blossom trees.

Ford's Theatre: what do users think?

Max Wood: This is a must see if you value our American history. The Park Service now owns the theater and the Peterson house ( Where Abe died). Still an active theater. Nice museum in the basement. Beautiful building. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Matt W: Great little theater in the heart of downtown DC. Very historical with a neat, FREE little museum on Lincoln. Saw "A Christmas Carol" on their Christmas run and it was very well done. Staff were nice Seats were a little narrow Small theater so pretty much every seat is a good view

James Su: The history just happened too fast. I can't they make this building still like it used to do, even the mudder occurred more than one hundred years. If you want to visit this, you need to book online. At this time, I don't have a chance to see since the reservation is almost complete. Next time I will come to visit this museum and learn more about how did it happen.

Alexandra B: Great museum describing the history behind the theater as well as its significance in President Lincoln's life and death. The theater hosts performances too. Because it's a smaller, older theater, the setting is more intimate, and I don't think there is a bad seat in the audience! A great experience all around.

Bethany Hoopes: The museum is 100% worth it! You get a deep dive into the history and scene leading up to the president’s depth. They have an incredible amount of artifacts from the event all the way through to his funeral procession. It’s quite breathtaking. Highly recommend experience for everyone.

Andy Stobie: Amazing feeling being there and seeing the theater. The tour was not organized well I thought, no group leader. More you just wander and read the captions. Some captions are not lighted well enough to read. We got the audio system, which provided good information. The host in the theater was very knowledgeable, but he seemed to answer only from a script he'd memorized, he was not a good listener to our questions. He spoke very fast without inflection.

Rena Correia: A remarkable collection of Lincoln memorabilia with such interesting information from his years as a senator through his election to president and his assassination. There is a column of books at least 3 stories tall showing all the books that have been written about Lincoln, he was such an interesting man!!!! A must see when in DC!!

Coach Aundre Blasingame: Historical site. It has aged and been restored well. SAW A GREAT MUSICAL CALLED GRACE! I recommended you reading this review go see it. Had an incredible time.

Casey M: Beautiful and historic museum dedicated to the life and death of Abraham Lincoln. The tickets cost $3 to buy ahead and the audio guides are $5 each. The self guided tour begins in the museum where you see the actual gun used to kill Lincoln, the wooden bar used to jam the door and the pillow where they laid his head after he was shot. After the museum, you walk up steps to the actual theater where you see the box where he sat when he was shot. Really wonderful and educational tour that my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed. Plus, two very cute gift shops. Don't miss this one if you're in DC!

Danielle Flickinger: It is absolutely wrong that they bring you into the history exhibit first and give you only 15-30 minutes max to see everything (could take two hours or more depending on if you read a view every exhibit). Then your rushed into the theater for the rangers speech and everyone was informed once you go into the theater there is no re entry to the history museum. So basically plan on coming several times if you wish to view everything. Most do as this is the actual items and belongings of Lincoln and pertinent to the entire point of this journey. Upset is putting it mildly. Waste of time and sadly had my kids with us to let them view such important parts of history and they couldn’t by any means. These people do not care about educating and why spend the money on the history exhibit if people basically can only make it through one exhibit and rushed out.

AG Construction/Flooring: what do users think?

Darren Skinner: Aaron's AG Construction crew of five individuals were on-time, hardworking, and were expert hardwood floor installers. The finished product was outstanding! AG Construction has professional employees, respectful, and very accommodating when you point things out that you want corrected. They completed a 1350 sf demo of old floors and installed the new hardwoods in two days. Just incredible. They cleaned up and respected our home by keeping their work area fairly organized and clean. My wife and I are extremely satisfied with the workmanship and how meticulous the crew was with teamwork and everyone playing their role to complete the job. Aaron was extremely accommodating when he needed to be and put us on his schedule when it was convenient for us to have our floors installed. Aaron was an ultimate professional and was easy to communicate with and to reach by phone throughout the process of ordering all the way through to the completion of the install. He immediately called once the job was complete to solicit feedback and to make sure we were happy customers. EXCELLENT JOB and we will be recommending to our friends, family, and anyone listening that AG Construction is the BEST for any flooring install! Services: Engineered wood , Install flooring
Response: Thank you Mr. Skinner. It was great working with you and wife. Thank you again for the opportunity.

Ginny Mounts: Aaron and his crew did an amazing job on our floors! I honestly wasn’t sure that the floors were going to be able to be refinished in the condition that they were in but these guys worked miracles! Aaron answered all our questions, responded quickly to calls or texts and made sure that we got what we wanted out of the project. I would highly recommend Aaron and his crew.
Response: Thank you, Ginny. Glad we could help

Mariana Bryant: Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueAaron and his crew exceeded all expectations. I had to reschedule twice, to which Aaron was very accommodating. The team showed up on time, did a phenomenal job with the floors, and thoroughly cleaned the area before leaving.I look forward to working with AG construction again!Service: Wood staining
Response: Thank you Mariana. It was a pleasure working with you.

Nichcole Warlick: We tasked Aaron and his team with a multi-faceted project and they delivered! We refinished and stained existing hardwood floor, converted carpeted steps to hardwood, replaced carpet in secondary bedrooms, removed carpet and installed LVP in the main living areas, master bedroom, and upstairs hallway. We are very pleased with the results and our floors look amazing!! From the initial phone call, to the estimate, and through completion of the project Aaron communicated clearly with prompt responses and set realistic expectations for time frame and product availability. We had a very tight schedule because we wanted the flooring completed prior to us moving in the house. Aaron ensured the materials were available, delivered in time, and that his team had the project completed to adhere to our schedule with limited flexibilty. Aaron's team had all of our floors completed in three days with quality workmanship! Thank you for taking pride in your work, being honest and realistic, communicating promptly and clearly, and delivering a product that we love! We will absolutely call on Aaron and his team for any of our future flooring needs. Services: Wood staining , Sanding , Installation , Oak wood , Restoration , Install flooring
Response: Thank you so much for the kinds words. It was a pleasure working with you. Congrats on your new home. We wish you all the best.

Cathleen Moore: After contacting a few companies with no success, I stumbled across Aaron’s website - after a painless call he came to our property to meet us, see our project, and give us a quote. Both my fiancé and I are young, and we usually are met with contractors that don’t take us seriously or just make the initial contact unpleasant. However! Aaron was EXTREMELY friendly, professional, and willing to answer any and all of our questions. We knew immediately that we would be hiring him and his crew to redo our floor. I have to say we are over the moon with the results! His crew was also friendly, respectful of our property, and worked quickly and efficiently to get things done. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could & we look forward to using them again in the future to finish the rest of our house! The before and after truly speak for themselves 😊 Services: Wood staining , Sanding , Restoration
Response: Thank you Catie, it was a pleasure working with you.

Luis Credidio: Aaron setup a consultation and discussed the various options I was requesting, he was patient and professional through out the job even when I informed him that I had several estimates lined up. He explained his recommended LVP Coretec product and my options and then described the timeline, he really made me feel comfortable (I have three large dogs and the rugs were no longer cutting it, neither was engineered hardwood). He quoted up to two days work once the flooring was delivered and ultimately won the project with very competitive pricing but similar reputable flooring. Flooring took two days to arrive, he booked me a week later. The three man crew showed up punctual and were easy to work with as I was teleworking that day. They completed the entire upstairs project in one day and the flooring was beautiful. I have had it over a week at this point and I am currently very happy with the results. The only thing I would express, not a negative just an FYI his pricing will not include moving furniture, so if you do not plan on doing that yourself you will need to get a quote. Aaron will recommend a very good company with competitive pricing, I did end up using them and I was very happy with their work too. I plan on keeping my eye on this product and how it responds to the abuse my dogs put flooring through and may have to reach out to Aaron again for my basement and main floor! Services: Installation , Install flooring
Response: Thank you Luis, it was great working with you.

H. Paul Davis: AG Construction did a great job repairing and refinishing my hardwood floors. Aaron is professional and responsive and was helpful in guiding me to the right stain choice based on the existing condition of my floors. I never felt pressure and he was flexible with his schedule to accommodate mine. His crew worked hard and kept the mess to a minimum. I highly recommend them. Services: Engineered wood , Sanding , Repair flooring , Restoration
Response: Thank you Paul. So happy everything turned out the way you wanted.

Christopher Wenstrom: Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueOriginal parquet flooring from 1962. AG was on time, got done early, did a fantastic job with some rough spots, and was very reasonable price. Aaron was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what should be done.Service: Restoration
Response: Thank you Chris. It was a pleasure working with you. Congrats on the new home.

Raven: Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueAaron and his team are amazing! Couldn't be happier with my floors. They completed a huge lvp installation project in a single day! I was originally going to do it myself to save costs, but I'm so glad I didnt, it would've been a disaster in comparison. I'm extremely impressed with the work, highly recommend AG Construction!Service: Install flooring
Response: Thank you Raven, congrats on the new home

Kristin Lagana: Still cannot believe the incredible transformation that took place at our house yesterday! Aaron and his team made our vision reality for the attic space of our home. We wanted to restore the floors, rather than replace, and the result is just amazing. Working with AG was a breeze from quote to completion, always punctual, friendly, and reasonable in pricing. I couldn't believe how quickly the job was done. Highly recommend to anyone looking for nothing but the best for their flooring needs! Before and After below. Services: Wood staining , Repair flooring , Restoration
Response: So happy everything turned out the way you wanted. It was a pleasure working with you. Wish you all the best

Visi Socks: I tried applying for a job. They kept saying stuff like, "What? NO!!" and "What are doing in my office? How did you get in here?!" and "He's covered in baby oil, I cant grab him!"Hot dogs were soggy too.

Gregg Brennan: Getting kind of run down....the floors need polishing, a new coat of paint wouldn't be bad either. I guess the maintenance budget is only a minute sliver of the yearly 700 billion DOD budget.

Heleen Raes: I've taken the tour 3 times and I always see new parts of the building which is nice! The tour guides are very friendly and are happy to answer (reasonable) questions. Security is stringent but friendly. The appointment confirmation always says you have to be there an hour before your tour, but if you get there 40 minutes before you're totally fine too. And oh, it's usually quite cold in the building (even in the summer) so make sure you bring a sweater!

Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling: what do users think?

Deagan Ranger: Great place for my kids! I absolutely love this place, friendly staff, amazing service, all around great place. Also I’m a teenager in school and super bored, I’ve never even been to this state. Please help me I’m bored

B J: Blanchard Brks is a genuine health concern, civilians at Furnari Hall are some of the laziest people I’ve met, duty rosters don’t exist, for any assistance you have to call a number at Andrew’s, civs won’t turn the AC on so it’s 80° inside, tap water isn’t potable, and they won’t even let us use their chow hall on base. 0/10 only here bc I have to be

Kevin -el: Those guys are doing a great job over there building Air Force Base keep up the good work his number one roadside mechanical service mobile in the DMV

Barbara Best: We stayed at this facility when it was under the Air Force management, and the hotel rooms were kept CLEAN! The door in the room would not shut unless we lifted it up and pushed. The deadbolt didn't work on the door. The overhead lights in the living room didn't work. We had a pet suite, and you could certainly tell from the odor alone! My husband opened the windows to air it out a bit, and one window tried to guillotine right back down! We set our bags down, went to the commissary and got Lysol and air freshener! After cleaning, I notice the blinds in the bottom floor master bedroom, were torn, and would give full view of the bed, or view of anyone changing clothes.

Devan Livaudais: It's a decent base. It's a nice, spacious retreat after being in the nation's capital all day. There's not much food-wise, but the Slip Inn Bar and Grille is the place to be during the summer. It's right on the Potomac River, which is nice while walking/running. The housing is another issue, but overall this base is pretty great.

Rusty Wilson: Houses many different commands and aviation detachment. Close proximity to Washington DC and the surrounding area.

Jason myron Johnson: No one ever EVER answers the phones…. What’s so complicating?

Ana B. Martinez: This place is great, your are lucky to be stationed here. To be in one of the most expensive city and have the amenities both on base and off. So stop your wining spoiled brats... appreciate and make the best of want others dream about....You can always go to Iraq....or just get out and try living here in the economy.

Chris: I was stationed here as a member of the Air Force Honor Guard for 8 yrs. I've visited about 30 +/- military installations (mainly AF) and this is concise but superb! Yes it's small, and yes there's traffic outside the main gate. But there's plenty to do outside the gate and the Slip Inn is a good time along with having gatherings at the waterfront in general. Try Malmstrom AFB in Montana, where it's cold/gloomy/snowy +/- 8 mos of the yr and nothing much outside of town. Despicable. So Bolling is a dream compared to many. One of the most historical AF Bases too! Most all the Air Force legends came thru there time and time again. I would live there again in a heartbeat.

j. mie Unlisted: Moved here in May of 2014. Love this Base. Came from Fort Polk LA.... a dump and anything, well almost anything, would be an upgrade, but this place is sweet. Got the Potomac a block away, the commissary is a couple of blocks the other way, library is literally right there. I lucked out with a good location. Even if your stuck up in Bellevue it seems to still be very nice. Further from everything but still really nice. My husband walks to work at the DIA, and with the track and the paved walkway along the potomac getting exercise is easy. They have an adequate dog park. People are really nice here. The traffic in the DC area is a horror show yet there are ways around it. Some bad neighborhoods but plenty of other options for shopping available. So much to see and do.... really for a small base this is nice. Bigger bases nearby to shop at their Exchanges and Commissaries.. so no complaints so far.

Washington Union Station: what do users think?

LJ Aranda: This has the nicest building among the metro stations in DC! The archicture is so nice perfect some good pictures. :) Some stores are still close though.

Rian C: Only used the station for the Metro and the usual touristy moseying around. Really nice architecture and for the most part looks clean. The food court wasn’t fully opened partly because of the pandemic (May ‘21), but the ones that were open were busy. There’s also a few places to shop around, but again, most were closed. Stepping out the building to take a look around, I can’t help but notice the aggressive panhandlers which was kind of a bummer.

James Phillips: Visited Union Station for the first time today, it was my first impression of the capital of America. I noticed the front of the station allows camping, which is a nice idea for the family. They have amenities like free bathrooms, seating, and charging while camping which is a nice touch. There are some very friendly but odd gentlemen and women in old clothing that smell weird muttering to themselves and making people uncomfortable, including a group of tourists that just arrived. I’m happy that one of the major train stations in America doubles as a shelter for these people! Very charitable!

Theresa Laethem: 3 is pushing it. The women's bathroom smelled heavily of urine. Within 10 minutes I had a 'homeless' guy asking for money (he didn't want the meal I was going to buy for him). Then got hit up again by this local group for more cash just minutes later. Looks nice decorated for Christmas.

Casie Chilcote: The main venue/entrance area is absolutly stunning, and I love Uniqlo, but bathrooms, food options, elevators and more are falling apart or insufficient. Apart from the main entrance, the rest of the building gives "dead mall" vibes.

Moe: This station gets 2 stars for the variety of vendors and restaurants. If you have the option wait inside a restaurant or better yet a lounge if you have the proper ticket. I wouldn't risk using the restroom. Idk the solution but homeless support services need to be provided. The number of homeless congregating is unlike any other station I have been in. I'm not sure why they choose to congregate here but it put me on alert. Not fearing violence but I was constantly approached. Inside and outside. The station has pigeons in residence which also is nerve-racking. So as beautiful as the architecture is in a busy station like this I suggest you exit as quickly as possible. Lastly, to leave station walk, use public, or ride-sharing. The taxis work on the meter.

Mischa: I love this place as a train station, as a matter of fact, the architecture of this place is amazing. However, I do “not” like this place as the new bus terminal (which is in the parking garage). This station would look better if the parking garage was not here at all, and I liked it much better when the train station was the train station and when the bus station was a bus station (in its own separate building, prior to 2012). As I said, this place is great as a train station; has some great shops; and I never get bored of taking photos here. Restrooms are very bad, though...

Eric Amaral: I arrived at this station in the evening when it was dark, and I loved the way the high ceiling was illuminated with the limited lighting. The view of the Capitol is also incredible. Unfortunately, there were several tents outside the station used by homeless people. 😞

S He: Beautiful building. I have no problem with helping those in need, however, being harassed by several people is not a pleasant experience while waiting for transportation. Also, please keep up the restrooms. The reality is this is a needed area for those less fortunate, and working, safe bathrooms should be a priority in a major transportation hub.

Erin Majette: Don’t let the reviews scare you. It’s a big station in a big city, so of course you’ll have some eclectic people and unhomed people. However, it’s also bustling and active and full of regular people going about their business. It’s not a dark, scary wasteland like it is portrayed in some of these reviews. I heard rumors that the bathrooms were horrible so I did avoid those, but everything else was consistent with a normal transit hub in a metropolitan area: not scary but not somewhere I’d choose to spend a ton of time just because it’s a crowded and busy space. Knocked off a star for the lack of seating in the Amtrak area.

International Monetary Fund: what do users think?

Bitraven: Asked for a couple of thousand bucks to fund the nuclear project I am running in my backyard, turned down my request and said they put me on some kind of no flight list or something. Overall, 0/5, would never recommend. Better off getting those funds from Russia or Iran anyway.

Guy Ben-Zeev: Hi peoples, i would not recommended this place. I’ve been here a couple of time and each time I have been disappointed by the service. They charge wayyyyy too much—6 million dollar interest?? And for what?? I could get that money so much easier money laundering. These stingy, Eurocentric IMF-ERS are trying to scam me. do not go here, hit me up if you need help with any future plans or nuclear weapons. If you have spare organs, I can help you make the most of them. -5/10

Abdallah: [An-Nisāʼ - 161] And their taking of Riba (usury) though they were forbidden from taking it and their devouring of people's substance wrongfully (bribery, etc.). And We have prepared for the disbelievers among them a painful torment.

Nomis Chernobyl: Uhh tried to borrow what, 400 quadrillion dollars? Apparently “I can’t loan that”, and “That’s both an overwhelming large loan and a impossible loan”. Really dont like service here. 1/100,000,000

Napk: Peoples, Don't go here. When I went here I was expecting monetary gain but they only insisted on pain; they fed me rusty ahh pizza while they severed my leg and sold it on the black market whilst I watched they had these dimly lit rooms which they called the "backrooms" and told me to go inside I did and this goofy lookin' creature came up to me and drank the blood dripping out my leg. Horrible.

Krish Patel: Amazing service, great financial decisions, love the interest (please release my family)

Sitly feniase: privately own company who controls the whole nation while act like the villian from Jamesbond movie? i don't see nothing wrong here

Hari Lalwani: Why doesn’t imf check the money taken by the Rajapeksa regime n bring it back to country where we all are suffering before restitution of funds

Mahmoud Selim: Helping world economy always to recover using best practices in surveillance and capacity development for meme er countries

Jacob: Any group that helps Francis Underwood get funds for Victor Petrov and Russia, alongside returning a traitor, Igor Milkin, back to the Russian homeland, well, hell... they're a-okay in my book. 👌 *Ppppfffftttt* 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣💀

WC Smith: what do users think?

Dawn Michelle: I love East Potomac Park aka Hains Point. I grew up in DC and this has always been one of my favorite places in the DMV. I'm here several times throughout the year

Tyler Fondren: I am a new tenant, and throughout the process of touring, applying, lease signing, and moving in, I have experienced incredible responsiveness. Despite my many questions, Tasha has consistently gotten back to me with timely guidance, and at no point have I felt alone in the process. I’ve had issues with rental companies in the past, so I greatly appreciate the peace of mind that comes with such knowledgeable, professional, and readily available support. I hope that my experience thus far is indicative of the coming year’s lease, and if so, I have good reason to be optimistic!

Nikko Reese: I called the corporate office this morning, November 16, 2021, about 8:20am, and I was greeted by a woman who was not very pleasant. I called regarding an urgent matter, and politely asked "for help." This woman was very short-tempered, unemphatic, and rude! I was surprised! at how rude she was; therefore, I asked for her name, and she hung up the phone. I called to report similar patterns of unprofessionalism where I live. Hopefully, this comment is read, and that she is reminded that her role is essential! People are calling that number for help, and she is the first person people will speak to. She should be proud to hold such a position, representing the lead office.

Tianna Jones: They don’t answer your concerns about the issues you’re having within the complex you live. But they want rent money due to them on time every month. They show no compassion nor concern for their residents. It’s the lack of care, concern, proper communication. I wish I could give them negative 100 as a rating. No one ever reaches back out. It’s ridiculous!!! You call you email and NO ONE REACHES BACK OUT! It’s disgusting!

Bei Heir: They don't care about keeping inside of the apartments clean. Will sweep but barely mop up the dirt on floors. It would be helpful if neighbors did their part to keep outside of their doorways clean... that's just not what we're dealing with these days lol

Simon Heuberger: I lived in Glover Park in DC in a shared 1-bedroom with den for the past 3 years. Overall, it was a hugely pleasant experience. The lease signing was quick and straight-forward. Replacing roommates was easy as well. The landlord was quick to make any repairs or to respond to any requests. Especially the maintenance guys (Santos and his crew) are fantastic! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the sometimes somewhat muddled up handling of rent payments. We were erroneously charged late fees, payments didn't show up in the online system; that kind of thing. Not huge by any means, it just meant we had to consistently double-check things. A little annoying, but not the end of the world. I would definitely live there again!

J P: I do not live at one of their properties. And won't, now. I applied for a studio apartment the first week of June. Their management asked for financial records which I supplied. I was very clear that my restaurant had closed due to Covid-19 and that I was receiving UI benefits and had not collected a pay check from the restaurant since back pay was issued to me in April. I supplied my UI payment record. I confirmed that I was returning to work 6.12.2020. On 6.16.2020 I was asked for a current pay stub. This is poor management, at best. How could i possibly produce a pay stub when i haven't worked for even a week after returning to work? Why would you not state up front, as soon as I produced my last checks and unemployment record that I would be ineligible? I was denied a lease, obviously. After reading the **long long long** history of poor reviews of this company I won't be surprised when they're ran up on housing discrimination charges or corruption charges of some sort or someone files a class action suit against them. Seriously awful communication by a company that manages a lot of property in DC. If you want to live in a place ran by unprofessional people this is the place for you!

Thomas Prentiss: Im at Fairway Park, the area is nice and we done had some major changes in the rental office that when you build it they will come is true harder working staff, better grounds keeping and on time call backs is a plus in my book for any place. The office staff is better but don't cross them they will have it for you. You call with a problem and it's done in a timely matter. Since this covid problem they have done the best of any property could do to make sure of safety and health to others. I have had things done to my unit that show they care. this is way i'm changing my post to 5 star, for the great change of fairway

Joaquin Goquiolay: I lived on 4020 Calvert St in early to mid 2019. It's the perfect place for students or those starting out their careers (at the time, I was starting a new job out of college). I had signed on through a roommate who had been living there. NaTasha, who's with WC Smith, was EXTREMELY helpful in clarifying the process and walking us through. I was very happy. The company is no luxus brand, but its staff are responsive to tenant needs, rents are perfectly reasonable, contracts straight forward, and no bells and whistles. I'm happy to have worked with WC Smith. Their listings are just right for us 20-somethings :)

Racquel “Scrumptuosity” Hill: Had the horrible displeasure of living in Manor Village for almost 2 years. During my time there I was broken into--TWICE. Management knows for YEARS that the A/C unit outside wire boxes combined with the ledge around every building is a welcome sign for people looking to burglarize you. There was ALWAYS a mice problem. My neighbors warned me as they lived there for almost 9 years at the time that the mouse problem was BAD. I was just thinking they were old, disgruntled residents. Not even a month after moving in did I see that the mice were the actual residents of the property. They lured me into signing the lease by assuring me that extermination was done every Friday. That was hardly true. You could be put on "the list for extermination" which was done on Fridays. Doesn't mean that your place will be exterminated weekly. Then, upon battling Rent issues with the Rental Office (who if you owe $20 will leave a BIG RED sign on your door) I felt they were entirely TOO aggressive with collecting rent. One Property Manager came to my door asking about my late rent payment while inquiring about how I had my hair done but hadn't paid the rest of my rent. This is COMPLETELY unprofessional. The Leasing Agent that assisted me, because I managed a popular urban shoe store at the time, asked me to buy him a pair of expensive New Balance shoes in exchange for "making sure I was approved". (I thought this was ludicrous) After being approved and not buying him the shoes, he was very rude to me and wouldn't speak to me when I saw him on the property. This company has been having problems for a long time. They don't hold their employees accountable for anything other than meeting "lease goals". This is unfortunate because the residents should be the priority but to this company they are a burden. Even when I was evicted (for not paying my rent because in court they said that my apt must be rid of mice or I don't have to pay, but Manor Village acted like sending one exterminator out would fix the problem so they told the court that they did their part) when applying for my current apartment the receptionist at the desk was very rude about sending over my resident history form. She was not only rude to me but to the Apartment Company trying to get the paperwork from them as well. Will NEVER live in another WCSmith property again, I don't care if it's gentrified or not. The business practices of this company at the expense of low-income individuals is disgusting!
