United States Capitol: what do users think?

Zay McCullough, MSW, LCSW-A: This was the last major attraction I saw during my one week trip here from 12/28/21 to 1/4/2022. You can see the Capital Building from several blocks away. I actually remembered I needed to stop by because I saw it after exiting the Children’s Museum. It was a little after 5pm when we made it there. We say the reflecting pool, which is wider but shorter than the reflecting pool between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. Unlike the latter, the Capitol’s reflecting pool isn’t easily accessible to stuck your feet it. The view, however, was still nice. This was my first time being in DC since I was in elementary school. It was extremely awesome to see the Capitol building. It was ironic that I had just watched Olympus Has Fallen on TV in my hotel just a day prior. Unfortunately, the perimeter of the building is gated off due to the events that transpired a year ago. I’m saddened to see that public access still isn’t available. Of course COVID is an added barrier to tours. Going inside is something that I wanted to do. I did not go to the visitors center that is close by as my son was ready to go back to the hotel, lol. There was a large Christmas tree in the lawn area between the capital building and the reflecting pool. Many people were taking pictures and appeared to be having a good time. I was grateful for the experience because I talked to my son (8) about what goes on in the building, the legislative bodies, and etc. I’m sure he’s forgotten everything we talked about but he can say he seen it in person whenever he does learn about it in school.

Ganindu Madhawa: A place where one can probe into the political history of USA.It is an iconic place and you need to reserve tickets beforehand visiting the place. You will be provided with a guide who give descriptive analysis of the architecture of the place and historical events. 😊

Yusra Nabeel: Such a great experience visiting one of the US symbols. Great place with beautiful reflection in pool.

Ali Shajarizadeh: This beautiful building is a must-see for everyone who visit Washington DC. The building has a long history. The place is where many important decisions were and are made that affects the world.

Stephen Butler: My first time taking the tour. Our Representative arranged a VIP tour. It was very small and personal. There’s no cost, but if your going to take a tour book it in advance. It takes about 3 hours or so. It was worth the time. Please hit “Like” if this was helpful. Thanks.

Ben Henderson: Really enjoyed the tour inside the Capitol building. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Really interesting history and beautiful inside. Liked the fact you can then walk through a tunnel to cross over to the library of Congress which again was beautiful.

Isabelle Tran: Beautiful architecture from the outside. Recommended to book in advance for a tour. The park outside is a beautiful place to relax after a long day of touring, including some cherry blossom trees.

Ford's Theatre: what do users think?

Max Wood: This is a must see if you value our American history. The Park Service now owns the theater and the Peterson house ( Where Abe died). Still an active theater. Nice museum in the basement. Beautiful building. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Matt W: Great little theater in the heart of downtown DC. Very historical with a neat, FREE little museum on Lincoln. Saw "A Christmas Carol" on their Christmas run and it was very well done. Staff were nice Seats were a little narrow Small theater so pretty much every seat is a good view

Bethany Hoopes: The museum is 100% worth it! You get a deep dive into the history and scene leading up to the president’s depth. They have an incredible amount of artifacts from the event all the way through to his funeral procession. It’s quite breathtaking. Highly recommend experience for everyone.

Rena Correia: A remarkable collection of Lincoln memorabilia with such interesting information from his years as a senator through his election to president and his assassination. There is a column of books at least 3 stories tall showing all the books that have been written about Lincoln, he was such an interesting man!!!! A must see when in DC!!

Coach Aundre Blasingame: Historical site. It has aged and been restored well. SAW A GREAT MUSICAL CALLED GRACE! I recommended you reading this review go see it. Had an incredible time.

Danielle Flickinger: It is absolutely wrong that they bring you into the history exhibit first and give you only 15-30 minutes max to see everything (could take two hours or more depending on if you read a view every exhibit). Then your rushed into the theater for the rangers speech and everyone was informed once you go into the theater there is no re entry to the history museum. So basically plan on coming several times if you wish to view everything. Most do as this is the actual items and belongings of Lincoln and pertinent to the entire point of this journey. Upset is putting it mildly. Waste of time and sadly had my kids with us to let them view such important parts of history and they couldn’t by any means. These people do not care about educating and why spend the money on the history exhibit if people basically can only make it through one exhibit and rushed out.

AG Construction/Flooring: what do users think?

Ginny Mounts: Aaron and his crew did an amazing job on our floors! I honestly wasn’t sure that the floors were going to be able to be refinished in the condition that they were in but these guys worked miracles! Aaron answered all our questions, responded quickly to calls or texts and made sure that we got what we wanted out of the project. I would highly recommend Aaron and his crew.

Mariana Bryant: Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueAaron and his crew exceeded all expectations. I had to reschedule twice, to which Aaron was very accommodating. The team showed up on time, did a phenomenal job with the floors, and thoroughly cleaned the area before leaving.I look forward to working with AG construction again!Service: Wood staining

Cathleen Moore: After contacting a few companies with no success, I stumbled across Aaron’s website - after a painless call he came to our property to meet us, see our project, and give us a quote. Both my fiancé and I are young, and we usually are met with contractors that don’t take us seriously or just make the initial contact unpleasant. However! Aaron was EXTREMELY friendly, professional, and willing to answer any and all of our questions. We knew immediately that we would be hiring him and his crew to redo our floor. I have to say we are over the moon with the results! His crew was also friendly, respectful of our property, and worked quickly and efficiently to get things done. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could & we look forward to using them again in the future to finish the rest of our house! The before and after truly speak for themselves 😊 Services: Wood staining , Sanding , Restoration

Luis Credidio: Aaron setup a consultation and discussed the various options I was requesting, he was patient and professional through out the job even when I informed him that I had several estimates lined up. He explained his recommended LVP Coretec product and my options and then described the timeline, he really made me feel comfortable (I have three large dogs and the rugs were no longer cutting it, neither was engineered hardwood). He quoted up to two days work once the flooring was delivered and ultimately won the project with very competitive pricing but similar reputable flooring. Flooring took two days to arrive, he booked me a week later. The three man crew showed up punctual and were easy to work with as I was teleworking that day. They completed the entire upstairs project in one day and the flooring was beautiful. I have had it over a week at this point and I am currently very happy with the results. The only thing I would express, not a negative just an FYI his pricing will not include moving furniture, so if you do not plan on doing that yourself you will need to get a quote. Aaron will recommend a very good company with competitive pricing, I did end up using them and I was very happy with their work too. I plan on keeping my eye on this product and how it responds to the abuse my dogs put flooring through and may have to reach out to Aaron again for my basement and main floor! Services: Installation , Install flooring

H. Paul Davis: AG Construction did a great job repairing and refinishing my hardwood floors. Aaron is professional and responsive and was helpful in guiding me to the right stain choice based on the existing condition of my floors. I never felt pressure and he was flexible with his schedule to accommodate mine. His crew worked hard and kept the mess to a minimum. I highly recommend them. Services: Engineered wood , Sanding , Repair flooring , Restoration

Christopher Wenstrom: Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueOriginal parquet flooring from 1962. AG was on time, got done early, did a fantastic job with some rough spots, and was very reasonable price. Aaron was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what should be done.Service: Restoration

person that exists: Everything is a bit all existence is for the bit this is a bit ur mom is bit your whole your family all your loved ones are just a bit your whole life are a bit noting more nothing less this is a bit

Pasala Prasad: Not allowed to visit inside, due to week end, due to covid19 pandemic. Police politely guided to place upto which visitors allowed.

Gary Asciutto: Very emotional to be here on 9/11. And then to see the light at 9:00PM sent chills from my heart to my soul. I will NEVER forget!! ❤️

LIL Chicken: Wife got shot worst of all soda was flat. Cool Aliens though.

Kerensta Blacken: We visited the pentagon memorial 10/2018 on school field trip . Be prepared to walk a distance and watch for signs of where you can and can’t use your camera or phone to take photos or videos . The memorial did provide places to sit if needed .

Kaiser PoultryNugget: Why not a hexagon?? Why not Square? Why Pentagon?! Why not Circle? Why not heptagon? Why not Octagon? Why not a Hectogon? Why not a tetrahectagon? Why America!? Answer me!!

Deagan Ranger: Great place for my kids! I absolutely love this place, friendly staff, amazing service, all around great place. Also I’m a teenager in school and super bored, I’ve never even been to this state. Please help me I’m bored

B J: Blanchard Brks is a genuine health concern, civilians at Furnari Hall are some of the laziest people I’ve met, duty rosters don’t exist, for any assistance you have to call a number at Andrew’s, civs won’t turn the AC on so it’s 80° inside, tap water isn’t potable, and they won’t even let us use their chow hall on base. 0/10 only here bc I have to be

Kevin -el: Those guys are doing a great job over there building Air Force Base keep up the good work his number one roadside mechanical service mobile in the DMV

Rusty Wilson: Houses many different commands and aviation detachment. Close proximity to Washington DC and the surrounding area.

Jason myron Johnson: No one ever EVER answers the phones…. What’s so complicating?

Ana B. Martinez: This place is great, your are lucky to be stationed here. To be in one of the most expensive city and have the amenities both on base and off. So stop your wining spoiled brats... appreciate and make the best of want others dream about....You can always go to Iraq....or just get out and try living here in the economy.

j. mie Unlisted: Moved here in May of 2014. Love this Base. Came from Fort Polk LA.... a dump and anything, well almost anything, would be an upgrade, but this place is sweet. Got the Potomac a block away, the commissary is a couple of blocks the other way, library is literally right there. I lucked out with a good location. Even if your stuck up in Bellevue it seems to still be very nice. Further from everything but still really nice. My husband walks to work at the DIA, and with the track and the paved walkway along the potomac getting exercise is easy. They have an adequate dog park. People are really nice here. The traffic in the DC area is a horror show yet there are ways around it. Some bad neighborhoods but plenty of other options for shopping available. So much to see and do.... really for a small base this is nice. Bigger bases nearby to shop at their Exchanges and Commissaries.. so no complaints so far.

Washington Union Station: what do users think?

LJ Aranda: This has the nicest building among the metro stations in DC! The archicture is so nice perfect some good pictures. :) Some stores are still close though.

Rian C: Only used the station for the Metro and the usual touristy moseying around. Really nice architecture and for the most part looks clean. The food court wasn’t fully opened partly because of the pandemic (May ‘21), but the ones that were open were busy. There’s also a few places to shop around, but again, most were closed. Stepping out the building to take a look around, I can’t help but notice the aggressive panhandlers which was kind of a bummer.

James Phillips: Visited Union Station for the first time today, it was my first impression of the capital of America. I noticed the front of the station allows camping, which is a nice idea for the family. They have amenities like free bathrooms, seating, and charging while camping which is a nice touch. There are some very friendly but odd gentlemen and women in old clothing that smell weird muttering to themselves and making people uncomfortable, including a group of tourists that just arrived. I’m happy that one of the major train stations in America doubles as a shelter for these people! Very charitable!

Casie Chilcote: The main venue/entrance area is absolutly stunning, and I love Uniqlo, but bathrooms, food options, elevators and more are falling apart or insufficient. Apart from the main entrance, the rest of the building gives "dead mall" vibes.

Mischa: I love this place as a train station, as a matter of fact, the architecture of this place is amazing. However, I do “not” like this place as the new bus terminal (which is in the parking garage). This station would look better if the parking garage was not here at all, and I liked it much better when the train station was the train station and when the bus station was a bus station (in its own separate building, prior to 2012). As I said, this place is great as a train station; has some great shops; and I never get bored of taking photos here. Restrooms are very bad, though...

Eric Amaral: I arrived at this station in the evening when it was dark, and I loved the way the high ceiling was illuminated with the limited lighting. The view of the Capitol is also incredible. Unfortunately, there were several tents outside the station used by homeless people. 😞

S He: Beautiful building. I have no problem with helping those in need, however, being harassed by several people is not a pleasant experience while waiting for transportation. Also, please keep up the restrooms. The reality is this is a needed area for those less fortunate, and working, safe bathrooms should be a priority in a major transportation hub.

Erin Majette: Don’t let the reviews scare you. It’s a big station in a big city, so of course you’ll have some eclectic people and unhomed people. However, it’s also bustling and active and full of regular people going about their business. It’s not a dark, scary wasteland like it is portrayed in some of these reviews. I heard rumors that the bathrooms were horrible so I did avoid those, but everything else was consistent with a normal transit hub in a metropolitan area: not scary but not somewhere I’d choose to spend a ton of time just because it’s a crowded and busy space. Knocked off a star for the lack of seating in the Amtrak area.

Bitraven: Asked for a couple of thousand bucks to fund the nuclear project I am running in my backyard, turned down my request and said they put me on some kind of no flight list or something. Overall, 0/5, would never recommend. Better off getting those funds from Russia or Iran anyway.

Guy Ben-Zeev: Hi peoples, i would not recommended this place. I’ve been here a couple of time and each time I have been disappointed by the service. They charge wayyyyy too much—6 million dollar interest?? And for what?? I could get that money so much easier money laundering. These stingy, Eurocentric IMF-ERS are trying to scam me. do not go here, hit me up if you need help with any future plans or nuclear weapons. If you have spare organs, I can help you make the most of them. -5/10

Nomis Chernobyl: Uhh tried to borrow what, 400 quadrillion dollars? Apparently “I can’t loan that”, and “That’s both an overwhelming large loan and a impossible loan”. Really dont like service here. 1/100,000,000

Krish Patel: Amazing service, great financial decisions, love the interest (please release my family)

Hari Lalwani: Why doesn’t imf check the money taken by the Rajapeksa regime n bring it back to country where we all are suffering before restitution of funds

Mahmoud Selim: Helping world economy always to recover using best practices in surveillance and capacity development for meme er countries

WC Smith: what do users think?

Tyler Fondren: I am a new tenant, and throughout the process of touring, applying, lease signing, and moving in, I have experienced incredible responsiveness. Despite my many questions, Tasha has consistently gotten back to me with timely guidance, and at no point have I felt alone in the process. I’ve had issues with rental companies in the past, so I greatly appreciate the peace of mind that comes with such knowledgeable, professional, and readily available support. I hope that my experience thus far is indicative of the coming year’s lease, and if so, I have good reason to be optimistic!

Nikko Reese: I called the corporate office this morning, November 16, 2021, about 8:20am, and I was greeted by a woman who was not very pleasant. I called regarding an urgent matter, and politely asked "for help." This woman was very short-tempered, unemphatic, and rude! I was surprised! at how rude she was; therefore, I asked for her name, and she hung up the phone. I called to report similar patterns of unprofessionalism where I live. Hopefully, this comment is read, and that she is reminded that her role is essential! People are calling that number for help, and she is the first person people will speak to. She should be proud to hold such a position, representing the lead office.

Tianna Jones: They don’t answer your concerns about the issues you’re having within the complex you live. But they want rent money due to them on time every month. They show no compassion nor concern for their residents. It’s the lack of care, concern, proper communication. I wish I could give them negative 100 as a rating. No one ever reaches back out. It’s ridiculous!!! You call you email and NO ONE REACHES BACK OUT! It’s disgusting!
