United States Capitol: what do users think?
Zay McCullough, MSW, LCSW-A
Zay McCullough, MSW, LCSW-A: This was the last major attraction I saw during my one week trip here from 12/28/21 to 1/4/2022. You can see the Capital Building from several blocks away. I actually remembered I needed to stop by because I saw it after exiting the Children’s Museum. It was a little after 5pm when we made it there. We say the reflecting pool, which is wider but shorter than the reflecting pool between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. Unlike the latter, the Capitol’s reflecting pool isn’t easily accessible to stuck your feet it. The view, however, was still nice. This was my first time being in DC since I was in elementary school. It was extremely awesome to see the Capitol building. It was ironic that I had just watched Olympus Has Fallen on TV in my hotel just a day prior. Unfortunately, the perimeter of the building is gated off due to the events that transpired a year ago. I’m saddened to see that public access still isn’t available. Of course COVID is an added barrier to tours. Going inside is something that I wanted to do. I did not go to the visitors center that is close by as my son was ready to go back to the hotel, lol. There was a large Christmas tree in the lawn area between the capital building and the reflecting pool. Many people were taking pictures and appeared to be having a good time. I was grateful for the experience because I talked to my son (8) about what goes on in the building, the legislative bodies, and etc. I’m sure he’s forgotten everything we talked about but he can say he seen it in person whenever he does learn about it in school.
Ganindu Madhawa
Ganindu Madhawa: A place where one can probe into the political history of USA.It is an iconic place and you need to reserve tickets beforehand visiting the place. You will be provided with a guide who give descriptive analysis of the architecture of the place and historical events. 😊

Stephen Butler
Stephen Butler: My first time taking the tour. Our Representative arranged a VIP tour. It was very small and personal. There’s no cost, but if your going to take a tour book it in advance. It takes about 3 hours or so. It was worth the time. Please hit “Like” if this was helpful. Thanks.
Ben Henderson
Ben Henderson: Really enjoyed the tour inside the Capitol building. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Really interesting history and beautiful inside. Liked the fact you can then walk through a tunnel to cross over to the library of Congress which again was beautiful.
Isabelle Tran
Isabelle Tran: Beautiful architecture from the outside. Recommended to book in advance for a tour. The park outside is a beautiful place to relax after a long day of touring, including some cherry blossom trees.

Semya Alshattarat
Semya Alshattarat: I was a member of King Abdullah II delegation in 2022 it was my pleasure visiting that place
Lou Fegans
Lou Fegans: As of July 2021 the House of Representative Chambers remains closed to the public. How to visit the chamber: You can arrange a tour of the capitol in advance by reaching out to your Congressman or Senator. Their staff will provide your group an intimate tour of the Capitol and depending on the days schedule and the staff availability they will escort you into the gallery to watch the proceedings. If you did not arrange a tour in advance you can stop by any Congressional office to pick up chamber passes. These passes will get you into the building and allow you to sit in the chambers and watch the proceedings. You will not have a guide but will be able to be in the building on your own at any point that The Congress is in session. This is a fun way to visit the Capitol late at night if the Chamber is still meeting. Note, you can reserve a tour of the Capitol with the Capitol Visitors Center or reach out in advance to your representatives for a more intimate tour of the Capitol. These tours do not take you into either the House or the Senate chambers.

Jacob Park: Pretty cool marble building.
George Koshy
George Koshy: Awesome structure of a building that holds so much history throughout its corridors
J Cee
J Cee: Beautiful building, I enjoyed the basement system to avoid dreary December weather. This building system is easy to navigate, beautiful and unexpected views of the capitol.
Robert Alexander Boyle
Robert Alexander Boyle: Office building and gallery for leading Congressional representatives
Nau Nz
Nau Nz: Nice public place to hold some public event
Cody Brooks
Cody Brooks: The House of Representatives’ represent one thing, and that is their bottom line. They are more interested in how they can improve their lives and not the lives of the American people. Our government only provides for the rich and the criminals. Think about it if you take nursing home vs a prison the people in the nursing home, are treated worse than those in prison. When you are in prison, your health is taken care, of food, and you are provided a clean place to sleep. The same cannot be said for nursing homes. In addition, this cost prisoners nothing unlike the others that actually have to pay for their health and other needs. Our government and country need to take lessons from more successful counties, on how to build a happy and successful country. The current system is broken and corrupted with dirty politicians, private business, and silver spoon inheritors claiming to have worked hard for their financial wealth when they really inherited their wealth. Congress is full of oblivious mindless old fools’ what we need is fresh new ideas, and methodology from younger individual’s that are more In tune to current issues. Unlike the older generation that believes it is still the 1950’s.
Angélica Garcia
Angélica Garcia: Do you know where your Congressmen work? Probably not. The Rayburn Building is a great spot to pop in for a session and the facilities are perfect for hosting a small panel or other legislative event. The facility coordinators are friendly, efficient and helpful.
Kevin Gross
Kevin Gross: If you find yourself disoriented and lost in this building, it is not you. All the hallways look similar and you rarely get a view of outside to orient yourself. The decor serves to amplify the unpleasant color from the florescent lights. Escalators are running 24 hours a day but few know they exist and fewer use them. Architecture is a dysfunctional marriage of brutalist and classical.

U.S. Congressman Jim Jordan: what do users think?
Richard Burch
Richard Burch: Jim Jordan looks at the facts and is willing to have a discussion in the name of truth. The democratic party and its followers have lied repeatedly and been publicly exposed for it, and at this point any attempt to refute this would be an indefensible stance to take. The people who rate this man poorly are either too lazy to seek the truth or or too corrupt to acknowledge it.
Tina Y
