Art Studio Blue Giraffe: what do users think?

Loushnikova Ekaterina: We had a wonderful painting class this Saturday and we are going to go for felting class to do wool painting, water coloring and to have intellectual discussion during a session. I is perfect for weekend to spend time with your friends doing art projects and to have some drinks. I recommend to call in advance to figure out available time

Eugene G: This review is for the Germantown location. This school is a great school for learning and practicing the Russian language as well as math, also with an excellent art program. The teachers are very kind and knowledgeable. It’s competitively priced and I highly recommend.

Anna Banana Arts and Crafts: what do users think?

Melissa Nitti: My 2.5 year old and I both love and look forward to weekly art class at Anna Banana. Her light-filled, cozy studio is a delight and her projects are thoughtful, creative and age-appropriate. Miss Anne teaches art but also gently instills soft skills like listening, tidying up, independence etc. She’s also taken a thoughtful approach to Covid precautions - we felt safe and comfortable. Can’t say enough good things about our experience - thank you, Miss Anne!

Quinn Dang: I would give Anna Banana Arts and Crafts 10 stars if I could! Anne is a gifted instructor and creates incredible art lessons each week. I’m amazed with each class how creative the themes are — one time we learned about Alexander Calder and stabiles and the two year olds made impressive stabiles that looked like real works of art. It’s the activity that my daughter looks forward to the most each week. One of the best classes for toddlers and a real gem in the city.

Bronwyn Dalton Clark: My 6 year old was enrolled for one semester and the experience was delightful. She came home with art that was so impressive and fun that several pieces are framed and around the house now. Anne, the teacher, has such a joyful and creative approach to teaching, children are immediately comfortable, engaged and entertained by the experience. Highly recommend!!

Samira Sabulis: Well organized, fun and creative.

NYSA | New York School of Arts: what do users think?

Jey Kim: My kindergartener loved going to this school! I could tell how much his creativity was expanding after each visit. My son had so much fun and had an amazing experience in camp. I can tell from his artwork and the stories he shared when I’d pick him up that he had a blast and how much his creativity enhanced. He was always excited to go to art school to see his teachers and new friends and create something new. I especially appreciated the guidelines the teachers shared, but still encouraging unique ideas and creativity that each child possesses. Seeing him share his happiness made us abundantly certain that sending him here was the right choice and I’d recommend to anyone to at least try out a class.

Phuong Ly: My daughter found NYSA by lucky chance after having bad experience with another studio. NYSA has been a blessing for her college application process. She started her portfolio path just after starting at NYSA and that was towards the summer of her Junior year. NYSA as a whole unit is amazing;teachers, administrators and background teams work day and night to make your goal a reality. The experience to me feels like a college setting. The guidance and encouragement my daughter received at NYSA built her confidence. She been accepted to the schools she applied. Her experience from NYSA will be with her at whichever school she ends up. Many thanks to NYSA, she could never have done it without you.

Zoe Gordiyenko: I have been a student at NYSA for longer than I can remember and I am so grateful for the creative and professional environment that the staff create for all their students to reach their goals. The portfolio program is exceptional in preparing high school students for the colleges of their choice while building connections and life skills. Students have the freedom to choose their concentrations and the directors, teachers, and guest instructors push them to work their hardest. I am so thankful for all of my experiences at NYSA, I never would have worked this hard without them and in the end it all payed off! If any high school student is looking for a studio to build and expand their artistic skills/knowledge, NYSA is the first and best place I would recommend!

Swati Shah: My daughter absolutely loves NYSA classes (sculpture, painting and drawing and sewing). We recently had her 8th birthday party at NYSA and they did an amazing job throwing her the best sewing party ever!! All of her friends enjoyed the project and were thrilled with the beautifully decorated party room. Highly recommend NYSA for a fun, stress-free birthday party!

Kristen Anstrom: My 5 year old daughter just did Spring Break camp there and loved it. She was really engaged, came home every day so excited about all the artwork she got to create. They even made puppets and did a puppet show. The camp was run very efficiently and I felt totally safe leaving her there for the half day. We will definitely be doing more classes and camps with NYSA.

GUELAGUETZA VAZQUEZ ORTIZ: We live close by to the school but have never take any classes here, I got a recommendation from a friend and it was really a pleasure for my kid to be in their Sprig Camp. The school is just great and the teachers are very professional and nice with the kids. The art that my kid did was great, she was introduced to several techniques, like sculpting, printing, acrylic, watercolor and they even made puppets!!! Highly recommended!!!

alex Ivanitsky: I recently took the intro to welding class and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to see what welding is all about. It is the perfect mix of information and first hand experience that has you starting to weld the first day. Erwin is a friendly and knowledgable teacher who explains concepts well and provides materials for you to continue to learn on your own. Enjoyed the class, well worth the cost. It has given me the confidence to buy my own welder and continue to learn.

Katie McKenzie: The MIG welding class with Erwin was a blast. After easing into the basics on your first day, you’re walking home with a finished project after your third class. They also offer studio hours, so once you take the class and want more time to weld, you can plan time to visit and use the studio.

Heidi Pendergast: I took the 3 day MIG welding class and it was fantastic. I had no experience welding prior to this class, but after getting some information the first day, we jumped in and started to weld. Erwin (the teacher) also provided info and suggestions on tools to get started as a novice. You also finish a small project by the third class. Highly recommend this school and this class.

Max Holtzman: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, ValueI took the MIG welding class with Erwin. Great teacher and a lot of fun. I knew nothing about welding before I started and now have a sold background of information to keep getting better.

M McNaughton: Great class. Highly recommend. After 3rd class familiar w MiG welding w gas and without and plasma cutter. Erwin is an excellent instructor!

Jason Carvalho: Took a beginners welding class here that was awesome. Erwin, Audrey and other assistants are all super knowledgeable and you come away with a cool little project at the end of week 3. All materials and equipment are provided.

Gina Lee Thomas: My daughter is a freshman at Duke Ellington. She has wanted to attend the school since she was six years old. She LOVES it. M Institute for the Arts: what do users think?

Ivan Tadeu: This is a great place! I was in need of formal cello classes as an adult learner and found this very engaging but unpretentious place where I did not feel intimidated or negatively challenged to do my best. The general approach for teaching music feels accessible and very didactic, and teachers are very approachable and polite and professional. Everyone seems to work towards to a common goal of inspiring people into artistic endeavor, and regardless individual goals that may vary among different students, the approach is based on respecting the needs of individual students who range in different ages and in their time constrains to dedicate to classes. I am in my second semester and happy to support this business. My cello teacher is simply phenomenal. Other teachers are great lecturers so far. And the owner is a competent, hands-on, hard working, engaging music teacher who values students not only as costumers but as potential artists who may carry the name of this institute with them in the future. It has been such a great experience and I am happy and grateful that I can make the most of it.

Sophie Washington: I can’t say enough good things about M Institute. My lessons are amazing and the people who work here are just lovely. I’ve met so many new friends at their music events and through the semester program and have had the best teachers EVER! I really love that they offer workshops and masterclasses for all levels and that I get to learn from multiple teachers not just about my instrument, but about music as a whole, such as listening for textures and learning what an exposition is. The facility is also really quaint in an old Georgetown rowhouse with a beautiful patio for receiptions and some really nice acoustic pianos in most of the rooms. Online bookings are also a favorite of mine, they even have an app! Can’t recommend M Institute enough!

Andrew Margrave: As the piano technician for M4Arts, I have had much interaction with Susanna, all of it very positive. Last night there was a superb master class at the school. The instructors were world-class pianist Thomas Pandolfi, cellist Emma Johnson, and Metropolitan Opera soprano Tracy Cox. Mr. Pandolfi worked with two pianists. Emma counseled a violinist and a cellist, while Tracy, like the other two teachers, showed vast pedagogical skills as she helped four sopranos and a baritone. In addition, she sang beautifully while demonstrating. Mr. Pandolfi closed the whole wonderful evening with a magnificent and magisterial performance of three Chopin etudes, the "Revolutionary", the "Aeolian Harp", and the "Ocean".

Austin Salley: I had a fantastic voice lesson with Thomas. He took the time in the beginning of the lesson to understand my goals and clarify the best path to take for the lesson. He was collaborative throughout the lesson and got me to think about the physicality of my instrument which helped to improve the consistency of the sound. I thought the lesson was well worth it and would highly recommend the M Institute.

Akane Vallery Uchida: Used the $75 7-Day Visitor Guest Pass which gives access from 7am to 10pm to all the practice rooms on a first come first served basis. I was pretty much alone throughout the morning and maximised my time on that excellent Kawaii baby grand. Great location with easy access from Dupont Circle station. A bargain if you have enough time to maximise on that offer!

The Art League: what do users think?

B W: I absolutely love this school! I am moving soon and will greatly miss the instructors and even the new friends I’ve made. The instructors are very patient and are passionate about teaching. I have learned so much from attending workshops and several 9 week courses!! I wished I could pick the school up and move it to my new dwelling place, but since I can’t, I will leave an awesome review :) To all the instructors, Thank You! Thank you for giving of your time and knowledge to us the students! We are better artists of all kind because of you! I can only speak for myself, but I grew by leaps and bounds in my craft from being connected to this school! I am ever so thankful for the brilliant mind who was blessed by God to start this school years ago. The education I have received was just as good or better than paying high priced tuition at a university. I pray nothing but continued blessings upon this institution!

Nabil Elhalawany: I am a medical Dr. interested in Art.

Latrina Proctor-Jones: Luv Art all forms...😀

Norraine Miller, MS: Really enjoy the visit

Nicky: Great Institute

ArtJamz Studio: what do users think?

Alev “ASJ”: Getting arty was a blast at this place! Checked it out with a friend first for a potential party venue. Had so much fun. Ended up recommending this location as a venue for our company party of 50 people and all who attended had a spectacular time. Owner & staff was a pleasure to work. Price points were within budget and competitive. Lots of options were provided and the graffiti wall was a big hit! Event planning was super easy. Great for group activities. Will for go back for sure and would consider this place for upcoming birthday parties.

Melissa C: I visited ArtJamz for the Google City experts event and had such a great time. Super event where you get the opportunity to express your creativity in painting a blank canvas coupled with a lovely adult beverage and then (hopefully) have a lovely piece if art to take with you. The staff were super nice and friendly. Great location near the DuPont Circle metro. I drove and got parking on the block. Would definitely go back. Would be fun to have a party there.

N V: My bf surprised me on a date with this place a couple of weeks ago. We had an amazing time. The guys working there were really laid back and helpful. I remember thinking it was a little pricey given that we bought several drinks, two canvases and studio time but then I remember the supplies and paint arent really apart of the canvas lol suggestion. Would be to maybe include the studio and canvas as a single, slightly lower, price and require a drink each. All that said I would and will, hopefully today lol, return to this place whether the price changes or not. We had a good time.

Krystal Ramirez: I would have given ArtJamz five stars had it not been so unbearably hot when I was there. (I guess they were having HVAC problems?) Despite the uncomfortable temperature, it was still a really fun time, and I would highly recommend visiting. They had a varied beer and wine selection, plus all of the art supplies you could imagine. I brought a picture with me to use as inspiration, and the staff provided excellent feedback throughout the evening with lots of tips and encouragement. ArtJamz would definitely make for a great party or date night -- check it out for yourself!

Kaleta Arase: Visited my bestfriend in D.C. and she booked a session here...it was an AMAZING experience! We had really awesome guidance from a professional painter (August) and the music sparked our creativity and let us loose! I would do it again for sure!

Geoffrey Short: This place was a lot of fun! I organized a private party here and it was really easy to do. Staff was great to work with in setting it up and very quick to answer questions and make accommodations. One recommendation - get there early. The check-in counter doubles as the bar and can get very busy, so it takes a while to get set up, especially for large groups.
