Molly Adamson Gilbane: Gentle Giant Moving Company did an outstanding job with our recent move. They were responsive, quick to schedule and book, and communicative during the weeks leading up to the move. They arrived right on time, both for packing and moving. All of the gentlemen were friendly and professional. They completely our entire move in less than 12 hours and took extraordinary care of our previous belongings. We are so appreciative and would book them again in a heartbeat. We highly recommend Gentle Giant Moving Company without reservation.
Journet Shaw: This is the 3rd time I have used Gentle Giant to move, but the first time using their storage services. I have used storage before so I was nervous, but the crew who arrived was excellent. I actually saw a familiar face with Ian who had helped to move me in my last place a few years earlier. I was impressed by how organized Dex, Dakarai, and Ian were. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Dex took pictures of everything going into storage and I received an inventory with those pictures for my records. I felt confident that my furniture would be carefully packed and stored. The moving and storage prices are extremely fair for the great service you get. Great company that I highly recommend.
Elise Moore: The entire experience with this company has been phenomenal from start to finish. The coordination was good, the packing crew was on time, very courteous and very careful with our goods, and the loading crew was also super careful. We had white walls in our condo and they were freshly painted, and there was not one mar or scratch! Amazing! I also loved the way the inventory is bar coded and tracked. High value items are photographed and tracked separately. I have moved many times and this was by far the best and least stressful experience I have ever had. Great job! Highly recommend!
Danielle Saroyan Ashbahian: We recently hired Gentle Giant Moving Company more than three years after our last move with them in 2018 and they were just as wonderful as we remembered. Elmer, P, Ricardo, and Amal were professional and efficient, and took especially good care of our fragile items. The movers wrapped everything up and were thoughtful in how they were stacking the large objects in the truck. They worked with our schedule, and showed up right on time to get the job done. They successfully hauled a heavy china cabinet with glass and mirrors over the deck outside from the second floor since it did not fit down our townhouse stairs. They came prepared with extra material to wrap the china cabinet, extra strong ropes, and tools. They also helped set up the china cabinet and tested the lights to make sure it was working properly. Overall, they went above and beyond to ensure that we were satisfied at the end of the job. We hired them twice, and would hire them again in the future. We highly recommend Gentle Giant Moving Company for any future moves.
Darith Klibanow: I had such a fantastic experience with the Gentle Giant moving company! My partner and I moved in together, and our moving team was so fast and efficient at each location they went to for our move. Our movers, Dex, Dakarai, Carlos, and Ricky were friendly, flexible when parking was difficult, very careful with our furniture, and SO FAST! I’ve had bad experiences with moving companies in the past, but our move coordinator Dominique was responsive and reassured me throughout the whole process. Absolutely going to give these guys a call when my next move comes around :)
Hilary Hansen: I used Gentle Giant for my move and storage while I renovated my house. The guys are amazing! Very prompt, courteous and quick/efficient! Dex, Ian, Pernell and Amal helped me move back and they couldn’t have been better. They found solutions to any issues and even put together a bed that had been shipped to my house (that is to say, they didn’t move). Can’t recommend enough! And with their own storage unit, they made it so easy to move out during my renovation.
Naomi: The best moving company. I had to put my things Into storage because of an issue with an apartment. Gentle giant made sure all of my things were wrapped carefully and cared for. When I got my things out of storage nothing was broken. The move out and in process was also pretty smooth. The only thing I would say to take note of, is that if you want to retrieve a few things from your storage unit with them, be prepared to pay a small fee. Gentle giant was definitely on the more expensive side, but they got the job done! I really appreciate this company for helping me out and I would recommend them to others.
Skyler Fordjour: I had an exceptional experience working with Gentle Giant! From my initial phone call with Matt, I knew they were the company I wanted to work with. We had a last minute local move with two toddlers so we knew we had to get help packing in addition to moving everything. Matt was very thorough! He had me walk through every room of my home to take inventory and give me an accurate quote. He was so responsive, even on the weekend, which we appreciated since we didn’t have much time to prepare. Javier, Otelindo, Ricardo, and Andrei took an already great experience to the next level. They arrived to pack early, worked extremely efficiently (with very little direction from me lol), and thoughtfully left things out for us to use for our last night in our old home. On moving day, they worked just as seamlessly while I was in and out running errands. They even executed a very impressive moving strategy when they couldn’t fit one of our sofas through the front door. The team finished earlier than Matt quoted me both days which is a big nod to their integrity and work ethic. Most of all, they were so warm and kind. My husband was working so I was at home alone managing the move and I felt so safe and comfortable with this Gentle Giant team. That alone is worth every penny spent!

Danielle Cotter: I would give them ten stars if I could. Moved with them twice — once in DC, and once from DC to NY. Both times they were communicative ahead of time and were able to provide the proof of insurance for my buildings. The day of the moves they arrived right on time, were extremely efficient and had a positive attitude, and were very careful with my belongings. Both times they also packed up my apartment way quicker than I had anticipated— very true to their name, they are the best movers! Thanks very much Best Movers LLC!
Li Xiu Chen: We moved with Best movers on Sep 3. They arrived right on time and was very organized. They got right to work and was careful to wrap up our furnitures. They double wrapped my TV, which was awesome. The unloading process also went smoothly. They were so efficient and very quickly got our boxes and bags up to our new apartment. They also carefully placed our furniture at the spots we want them. Overall, great service and experience.

Greg Rom: We were extremely happy with the service provided by Best Movers. A two bedroom apartment doesn’t sound like much but there were multiple pieces of antique furniture in each room and all were handled with care. The two movers took the time to thoroughly wrap all items unless specifically told not to by us. There were also a number of heavy items, including a reclining couch with electronic components that they navigated down multiple flights of stairs admirably. The price point isn’t cheap but it shouldn’t be when you are getting excellent service. With the amount of time spent carefully moving items we felt the pricing was more than fair and totally worth the help provided. Highly recommend Best Movers!
Maria Davydenko: Coronavirus-related changes at work led me to decide to not renew my lease earlier this summer and I was desperately in need of a reasonably priced moving company at the last minute. Someone recommended Best Movers as a price leader for the DMV area. That they are. But that low cost is also accompanied by great customer service. Alex and one other mover showed up at my building early the day of the move, clarified what I needed, and immediately set to work. They took great care with my paintings and other fragile items, and moved everything into my storage unit in a sensible way. When they had questions they let me know right away. Robert Gudea: These guys are AMAZING! They arrived on time, were courteous, and loaded all of our belongings in just 70 minutes with room to spare! They were even more impressive with unloading - 1 hour flat. The could have just left thing in the dining room but they insisted on placing furniture in the rooms we wanted them in. Most importantly, they took Covid-19 precautions seriously and came prepared. And as an added benefit, their price was reasonable! Andrew Frampton: I used AK Movers for my one-bedroom apartment and had a great experience. The movers were friendly and incredibly helpful. My couch was too big for the elevator and they had to walk it up several flights of stairs. It was extra work for them, but they did it without question and with a great attitude. I would definitely recommend them for your next moving project and will definitely use them again in the future.
Jon Monger: I have moved with AK three times now, and each time they have provided absolutely terrific service. They are prompt and efficient, and very careful with belongings. My most recent move was out of a third-floor walk up and the movers got everything down quickly and safely, through two narrow stair cases, one of which was an outdoor fire escape. So they are very resourceful. In another instance they were forced to move the moving truck to a new parking spot twice and they did so quickly and without issue. Very professional and well-executed operation from beginning to end.

K.N. Petroff: AK Movers is great! We got a quote very quickly and it was a good price. The movers showed up early and quickly got to work. They had their own truck and came with moving blankets. Little hiccups did not phase them and they worked around imperfect moving situations (car blocking space, small elevator, many doors, etc.) Would highly recommend! Especially for D.C. as moving is difficult in tight quarters. Also the movers were really nice!

Jon Verville: Incredible service, punctuality, and attention to detail. Ezra and Musa did a great job and I really enjoyed working with them. They were very careful, had the muscle we needed to lift a giant tube TV overhead with just the two of them. When there was a little discrepancy over the time, they acknowledged the different and made it right immediately. Amazing customer service. Wow!

Beth Gale Gale: I recently used Anytime Movers based on a great review. I’m now passing that along. These guys were great. From the start Daphney made scheduling easy and she was always easy to contact with questions. My crew, headed by Kevin, was great. Each person introduced themselves which I really appreciated. My furniture was wrapped very well. Best I’ve ever experienced. Kevin stayed in close touch throughout the move which was Baltimore to Washington. I would have given 5 stars at that point. But then, with all my belongings in the truck outside my new apartment I lost the keys and we could not move in that day. Very stressful as you can imagine. 😱. Staff at anytime movers were calm and Chris offered a solution of safely storing my stuff until the next day. I was not charged for the storage. We were able to complete the move the next day. I highly recommend this company. When things got tough they were there.

The guys handled it with efficiency and total organization. Ari Hoffman: Anytime movers ended up being a great choice for my move. Scheduling the move was extremely easy. Daphney, the scheduling coordinator, answered my emails with lightning speed and got me a quote right away. She also answered my follow-up questions immediately so there were absolutely no surprises. She recommended the larger truck for my move to make sure everything would fit. Since this company does not charge extra for a larger truck, it was an easy decision and ended up working out great. The 3-man crew arrived at my apartment precisely on time at 9:30 AM and got to work right away. They were extremely fast and efficient in loading/unloading the truck. At the new apartment, they asked where I would like things placed as they brought them into the apartment. Everything arrived undamaged in one piece. The whole move (out of a 1 BR apartment) took 2.5 hours which made it really affordable. They make it really easy to pay by credit card (and do not add a surcharge to do this, like some other companies do!) No hidden fees or "extras." Just the quoted rate that was given to me upfront. All of this combined for a seamless move at an incredible value. Would definitely use them again!

Megan Sheckles: Absolutely amazing service! I would give them 10 stars if I could. They were professional, kind, careful with my items, worked efficiently, navigated my DC neighborhood well with a very large truck & even labeled my boxes for me for easy delivery to rooms in my new home. Kevin Dolloson: Petro and his team arrived on time —mind you, our closing was pushed back twice and he was very flexible with adjustments. We anticipated a 6 to 8 hour move, but they had all the furniture and boxes in our new house in only 4 hours. Other than Anton dropping a couple of boxes, Petro and Joseph were on point. There were very minor scuffs on the walls, no worries though … because the builders already said they would come through and do touch ups. This was by far, the best moving experience I’ve ever had. I will definitely call EZMoving again.

This crew moved it with care up and down spiraling staircases. The crew chief was extremely professional and courteous when I asked for clarification on our quote versus execution. It is incredible what they were able to accomplish in a two-day period. The team members showed up on time with a positive and friendly attitude each day. They took care to drape and protect my floors, doorframes, and railings with moving blankets to ensure there was no damage. They worked efficiently to execute a well-thought-out approach to emptying the house in an organized manner that ensured we were able to quickly access our most needed items upon delivery. This team was patient and accommodated all of my requests - including requests to relocate furniture multiple times. I had several heavy and fragile items, including large decorative mirrors, and nothing was damaged - not one thing. I should mention that they were able to successfully move multiple large planters with trees and place them in their new location. Each time, no matter which crew I had been assigned, my belongs were cared for; from the tear down of large furniture, to the boxing of large pictures/mirrors, to the wrapping of the furniture in blankets and plastic. This was roughly half the max quoted time and saved us half the money as well. This is our third time using Best Movers and each time they manage to impress and exceed my expectations even more. The movers arrived early to accommodate the freight elevator window we had in Philly. They were polite, professional and worked quickly to pack up our 1 bedroom. They actually arrived before us at the destination! And just as quickly as they packed our apartment they unpacked our furniture. I thought that he would have been able to pack up most things prior to moving. However, he was only able to take apart his bed and pack one or two small boxes. A few days prior, I informed Cindy that the movers should be prepared to box his whole apartment, knowing, of course, that this would also slow the move down and increase cost. The crew came with enough supplies to pack everything. They worked almost non-stop with very few breaks and were courteous, thorough and their packing was superb - nothing was damaged or broken. Cesar, the lead mover, was so efficient and helpful, directing his crew of two others to get everything done smoothly. And the final cost was only slightly increased above the quote due to the additional packing required. I understand why Express has received great ratings - they really are excellent. The owner, Robin, promptly replied back with a detailed list of fees for the total cost. But, see, it wasn’t his quote that was very fair and accommodating; it was his pleasant attitude and his willingness to work with you that mattered the most to me. And there is a reason this company has managed to maintain a perfect 5.0-star review. Like many of the other reviewers have said, the movers arrived precisely on time. The moving crew was friendly, polite and professional; they took their time to meticulously and carefully pack our items, and they happily listened to our instructions. As deaf individuals – and with everyone wearing masks – you can see how communication was a little challenging for us but they took the time to communicate with us using theirs and our phones. They were very careful with everything and used blankets and wrapping for all furniture. The guys were timely, very fast, efficient, and courteous. After the move, they even placed felt pads on furniture to avoid floor scratching and easy moving around. The scheduling and communication have been clear and hassle free. Kevin Shand: I was referred to this company by name from my realtor in Howard county that serves numerous clients in the area, and had a prior client with a very positive experience. Suburban Movers wrapped, loaded, transported, unloaded, placed exactly by my request in the new home, and unwrapped over 70 boxes/bins and furniture for a 3000 sqft house (including a fragile 40-year old piano) in the summer in just over 4 hours! No items damaged and no damage to either home in the move! They also hauled away several old pieces of furniture and appliances for me, saving me a trip to the landfill. The movers were very efficient, careful, and friendly. If you want a stress-free move, call these guys! You won’t be disappointed. nancy Paradiso: Estimate was done online - nice and easy process. Customer support was helpful whenever I had changes or questions. They were able to work on a weekend, Sunday even, which was very helpful for timing for us. They came in one day, packed up all of the small stuff and wrapped all of the furniture. Then came back a second day and loaded the truck. The truck was at our new location states away within 3 days of packing up. They met us exactly when we wanted. They unloaded very quickly and even set up our outdoor set even though it is not a normal part of the moving process. They worked hard and fast. Overall very happy with the entire process.

Liana Adelle Crowley: Alexander and his crew provided exceptional service with affordable rates. Alex made our move from a house to a small apartment in the city easy and stress free! They were on time, quick, and really took care of our things. He is also a honest and straightforward guy. The name of his company says it all! I highly recommend Best and Cheap Movers.
Christina Yi: They were super helpful and very efficient!! Got all my furniture out from NW DC to NW DC in 2.5 hours only! Loaded everything into their truck in 1 hour and we made multiple stops and they were still able to get everything unloaded in another hour! Handled everything with care. We also needed to throw some furniture out and they were able to dump it at a landfill after loading everything into our new house. Thanks so much to the team!!!
