Unlimited Biking: what do users think?

Margaret Iannone: We took a family trip to DC in hopes to pack in all we could over Memorial Day weekend. Unlimited Biking was highly recommended and our amazing guide, Joe, did not disappoint. He tailored the tour to what our group was looking for - learning about the monuments, but having fun while doing it. Joe was super knowledgeable and kept us moving - he was the perfect fit for our group! If you are visiting DC, I highly recommend this bike tour - seeing the monuments, especially at night, was incredible. Ask for Joe - he’s the best!

Rebecca Michaele Lynch: I highly highly recommend this experience! I only had a day to take in DC and this was so perfect. I kept saying to myself I couldn’t believe it was only $54 for what I was getting. I wish I packed a snack (banana or nuts) and was happy I brought a small backpack to carry extra water and my wallet (the pouch can really only fit a phone and keys). Those were my two biggest takeaways. I also recommend making sure small children can take direction quickly and can be ready to handle street intersections. I’d absolutely do this again and am so grateful I found it! All staff were so nice and accommodating.

Maggie Blackwood: This was the best part of our trip to DC by far!! We did the night tour as a family of 5. Our tour guide James was super friendly, accommodating and phenomenal at providing a great overview of the history with interesting tid bits for adults and kids alike. It was a great way to see the National Mall in the daylight through to everything lit up! We would highly recommend to others.

Stephanie Olebara: I did the 9 am cherry blossom tour and it was great! Our tour guide Judy was very knowledgeable about the city and was also very friendly. She always made sure the group was together and safe as well. Even as a DMV native, I learned and saw a lot of new things in the city thanks to Judy! It wasn’t too crowded in the city and the weather was beautiful. The tour was thorough and punctual as well. Definitely recommend this experience!

Michele Perrell: This was our first excursion when we arrived in DC. We are so happy that we chose this first. It ended up being the highlight of our trip. John was an excellent tour guide. He is really knows his city’s history. He got us up close to many memorials and monuments. We learned so much about each site! Doing this left our other days for museums and such. Highly recommend you do this if it is your first visit to DC.

Heidi Collins: Great experience. Saw a lot around the Mall in a short amount of time and enjoyed the Segway challenge! Make sure you wear good shoes for standing. Bill, our tour guide was excellent at giving fun details and pointing out interesting buildings on Pennsylvania Ave. Did not get close up of Jefferson or FDR memorial.

Alex Nee: Beth did an excellent job with our tour of 12, including 5 children. She was patient and clear about stop times, informative with destinations and gave nice local recommendations. We had a great time riding around and seeing the sites.

Dena Hayes: This was a great tour! We picked the 2 hour cherry blossom tour. I wanted to make sure my 11 year old could keep up, plus I definitely wanted to see the cherry blossoms. We got checked in quickly and on our way. Alex was our guide, and she was amazing! So friendly, accommodating, and lots of knowledge. My son asked when we come back to do the tour again, and have Alex as our guide! Highly recommend

Nichole James: We did the Segway tour with Joe and it was a great experience. He was very knowledgeable and fun. He made sure everyone was safe on the segways! We saw many different monuments and all around the mall area. We went back and visited the suggested museums. Very glad we did this tour.

DC Insider Tours: what do users think?

Andrew Studenic: Bo did an Incredible job doing a bike tour of our first time in DC! He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and made it fun. He was reliable and worth every dollar!!!! If I could give 10 stars I would! This is THE tour to take in DC

Det Ansinn: Bo has amazing historical knowledge of DC and is really entertaining. They use electric bicycles made by Pedego — well maintained, zippy, and the brakes give you confidence. Added bonus? on a hot DC summer day, the breeze on an electric bike keeps you cool.

Pakeezha: The night tour on the electrical bikes was a blast!!! The tour guide was very clear with instructions and never a dull moment! The views were the best. I’ve lived here all my life and learned and saw things I had never before! The best part were the bikes! Anyone can do it! And hardly any man power needed. Wrap up though because it can get chilly when you are going 30 mph!!!

Tisha Ooppapan: A “Wheelie” Extraordinary Tour The DC After Hours Electric Bike Tour with Bo and Becca is a MUST GO! The electric bikes are a quick, safe, and fun way to visit all the attractive sites as well as the hidden gems of DC. I have loved adventuring DC for the past 7 years, yet Bo and Becca were still able to share a ton of new fun facts and an admirable amount of knowledge with me. If you need an exhilarating and educational trip, book with DC Insider Tours.

Troy Rippere: We did the DC After Hours electric bike tour and this was by far the absolutely best way to see all of the major sites at night. In this 2 hour tour, we were able to visit the White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, MLK Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, the Supreme Court, and the Capitol with enough time at each spot for pictures. The electric bikes were also a blast to ride (up to 20-25 mph) and are actually fully electric, instead of just pedal-assist like other tours. On our tour, there were just 6 guests plus the tour guide. The small group was intimate and made it really easy to hear everything the tour guide said. Our particular guide was Matt and he was super friendly and seemed really knowledgeable about the different sites. All in all I had a great time and look forward to trying their other tours on subsequent trips to DC.

City Segway Tours: what do users think?

Anup Rao: The staffs were friendly and our guide Rob was amazing and took care of us.Safety first and we had a great segway tour around the beautiful monuments of DC.

Cindy Harper: The tour was a blast. We did the 6PM sunset tour and I have to say this was the highlight of our trip to DC. Anna was our guide and she was super knowledgeable and funny! Yes, she definitely made the tour a 5 star! We will go with City Segway Tours next time in DC or any city we visit that they are located.

Chris VanBelle: What a fun and informational tour. I would have loved to dine a larger tour and learned more. Wear comfy shoes, and be ready to go if it rains. It was an awesome tour!!

Imran Khanji: Did the segwey tour a few years ago and now the bike tour. Highly recommend bike tour with Tom. Bike tour allows you to go to more places and get off in more places because segweys have more restrictions. Also, highly recommend doing the tour at night.

J. S.: It was our first time riding on segways. Our guide was very good in teaching us how to safely ride them. She also was very fun to communicate with. Overall the tour was very informative and interesting. In three hours we were able to see a lot of historical buildings and monuments

Kyle Hayes: So much fun will do again great guide he was very knowledgeable and funny

Emily Thompson: This was an absolutely fantastic experience! Could not recommend it enough. Not only was it a great way to see a large portion of the sites, far faster than walking it all, our guide was wonderful and his commentary gave interesting context and added backstory to the sites we saw. We did the night tour and it was perfect -- cooler temperatures in the evening, sunset and later, the nightime uplighting on the memorials, was amazing! We had plenty of time at each memorial to explore and take pictures. Overall we had blast on the Segways (it was our first time riding them, but it was so easy and so fun!) We will definitely be looking to do Segway tours in other cities we visit!

Washington Monument: what do users think?

Erika Gardner: This monument is impressive and amazing to visit the grounds are really clean, a lot security around. Great place to walk around, ride a bike, relax, take pictures and/or have lunch from the food trucks. The structure is magnificent piece of Art, the monument is more beautiful in person, I definitely recommend it to anyone. The Washington Monument is an obelisk within the National Mall in Washington, D.C., built to commemorate George Washington, once commander-in-chief of the Continental Army (1775–1784) in the American Revolutionary War and the first President of the United States (1789–1797).

Amol More: This Monument is way bigger in actual than expected. Amazing place to visit in DC and mark it in your wish list. I visited during Cherry Blossom 🌸 festival and enjoyed kite festival as well. Couldn’t go at the top as it needs to have tickets in advanced. This is located in between Capitol and Lincoln Memorial. Flags around the monument make it more beautiful. Just visit, enjoy and make memories.

Ryan: The day we went was a bit of a bad day, but I assume the view would be amazing on a better day. I’m glad they reopened the elevator to the top, because they have an interesting little museum up there too. It surprised me when I approached it in-person, it’s much bigger when you’re up close. I had previously only seen it from afar or online.

John Myers: Dude, so good! Been a long time since I went to the top. Well worth it. Kind of exciting. Get tix at recreation.gov. look at least a few days ahead. Right now only 6 tickets at a time. Great place to make memories.

Daniel Steiminger: Enjoy the view, enjoy the elevator ride down, and good luck in getting your tickets. Wait early in the morning at the Washington Monument Lodge and cross your fingers and your toes you get there early enough to get tickets. I recommend 6:30 am if you are getting same day tickets.

Kristen Alger: You need to get tickets online. When I went to DC they were not giving tickets out. You had to get them online and they were NOT available for that day. Meaning...if you want to go, get your tickets online and in advance. Since this is new (Covid), I went through security alone, went up the elevator with 5 people and we were the only ones at the top! Great views! Plan ahead and ENJOY!

Dragan Ange: Take the elevator up there to enjoy the beautiful view. There is some info about the Washington Monument: Built in the shape of an Egyptian obelisk, evoking the timelessness of ancient civilizations, the Washington Monument embodies the awe, respect, and gratitude the nation felt for its most essential Founding Father. When completed, the Washington Monument was the tallest building in the world at 555 feet, 5-1/8 inches. Construction of the Washington Monument began in 1848 with enslaved Africans as laborers, according to several sources. Construction stopped in 1854 due to lack of funds, and then resumed from 1877 until its completion in 1888.

Mendy Henderson: If you are flying in from I know the south. You can sit on the left side of the plane and see everything. Like the Lincoln Memorial. Washington Memorial. The white house and so much more. I really enjoyed myself here.

Ashok Patel: This 555 ft marble monument was built to honor the first President of USA, George Washington. The political and military leadership of George Washington was indispensable. This is built in the shape of Egyptian obelisk. This was the tallest building in the world when it was completed. It is still world’s tallest stone structure. You need a timed ticket of an elevator for the observation deck at 500 ft to get a bird’s eye view of the capital. You have to go through the security screening. The Washington Monument is located near the west end of the National Mall, with spectacular views of the National Mall and other important memorials. This Monument has been the witness to the history that shaped our nation. Must visit if you are in Washington DC and if you can manage to get the ticket.

USA Guided Tours: what do users think?

Rebekah Diaz: Did the night tour with Mr Map! It was great to stop at so many places and take photos. I do wish that the tour guide would have come off the bus to tell us about the different landmarks instead of staying on the bus. It was beautiful to see all the monuments lit up—different than the daytime sights. We chose the closed climate controlled instead of open top because it was rather cold at night (in late April!)! Would recommend.

Vanessa Losey: Thanks for making my dad bday that much more memorable! My dad a senior citizen and the pace was perfect for him, including all the bathroom breaks and patience. Thank you Terry for a tour to remember and for signing to my dad happy birthday!!! Memories to last a lifetime. His service dog loved it too!!!

Teresa Simmons: We took the DC tour on Sunday. Nick was our guide. The tour was a great way to see the sights and learn interesting facts. Nick loves his job and it shows! He was funny and informative! Highly recommend Nick and the 6 hour DC day tour. We had and amazing time!!

Suzanne: We took the dusk to dark, open top bus tour, and it was well worth it! The small group allowed for a much more personalized experience. It was obvious to us that our guide, Nick, truly enjoys his job, and that adds to the experience. He was friendly, knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor, all of which added up to a very comfortable, enjoyable tour! He made it feel like we had a long time friend showing us the many sites. Definitely recommend this tour!

Bianca Moskaitis: Nick the @tourgod was one of the most amazing tour guides I’ve ever experienced! His knowledge and charisma made us feel so comfortable. He kept us laughing and on time! He was just a delightful and I’m so glad we got to experience him today! The Mercedes’ sprinter is a beautiful site to see while traveling down Constitution ave and Pennsylvania ave. Such a luxurious site to see🎉🎊 I’m so excited to take another tour with them in the spring! Here are come Loudoun VA wine country 🍷

Tricia Barr: We had a fabulous experience with Alicia as our tour guide and Thomas as our driver. We enjoyed a very informative 6-hour tour with Potomac River cruise. The best compliment was given by my ten year old daughter who is often reluctant to join historical and sight-seeing tours and would far prefer a spring break at a theme park. She said, “I learned so much about my country and I loved learning about all of the hidden meanings of the monuments.” As a parent, I was so happy that she loved the symbolism and significance of all that DC had to offer! Thank you to Alicia for your positive energy and sharing your extensive knowledge of our Nation’s capital!

Shari S: Nick and our driver were awesome. Very knowledgeable. Highly recommend. I took borh the day and the night tour with this company. I highly recommend using this tour company. Parking can be a little difficult and further away then the tour can get you. I am so glad I signed up for these tours. I will make sure to let everyone I know going to any city they service to use them.

Joseph McIntyre: Originally scheduled the daytime tour with the riverboat cruise. Had to change due to flight delays and a mix up with rental cars. They were very accommodating and allowed us to switch the tour last minute to the night tour. Our tour guide, Nick was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Thanks so much for the memories!

Lisa Hayes: Great tour that I would highly recommend. Curtis was our driver and nick was our tour guide. Very knowledgeable and had plenty of time at all the stops. They had just taken down the fences at the capitol so we were able to go on the lawn. We did the night tour and they picked us up at our hotel which was perfect since I had just had some foot surgery and walking was difficult. Would recommend this tour to everyone and Great price.

United States Capitol: what do users think?

Zay McCullough, MSW, LCSW-A: This was the last major attraction I saw during my one week trip here from 12/28/21 to 1/4/2022. You can see the Capital Building from several blocks away. I actually remembered I needed to stop by because I saw it after exiting the Children’s Museum. It was a little after 5pm when we made it there. We say the reflecting pool, which is wider but shorter than the reflecting pool between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. Unlike the latter, the Capitol’s reflecting pool isn’t easily accessible to stuck your feet it. The view, however, was still nice. This was my first time being in DC since I was in elementary school. It was extremely awesome to see the Capitol building. It was ironic that I had just watched Olympus Has Fallen on TV in my hotel just a day prior. Unfortunately, the perimeter of the building is gated off due to the events that transpired a year ago. I’m saddened to see that public access still isn’t available. Of course COVID is an added barrier to tours. Going inside is something that I wanted to do. I did not go to the visitors center that is close by as my son was ready to go back to the hotel, lol. There was a large Christmas tree in the lawn area between the capital building and the reflecting pool. Many people were taking pictures and appeared to be having a good time. I was grateful for the experience because I talked to my son (8) about what goes on in the building, the legislative bodies, and etc. I’m sure he’s forgotten everything we talked about but he can say he seen it in person whenever he does learn about it in school.

Ganindu Madhawa: A place where one can probe into the political history of USA.It is an iconic place and you need to reserve tickets beforehand visiting the place. You will be provided with a guide who give descriptive analysis of the architecture of the place and historical events. 😊

Yusra Nabeel: Such a great experience visiting one of the US symbols. Great place with beautiful reflection in pool.

Ali Shajarizadeh: This beautiful building is a must-see for everyone who visit Washington DC. The building has a long history. The place is where many important decisions were and are made that affects the world.

Stephen Butler: My first time taking the tour. Our Representative arranged a VIP tour. It was very small and personal. There’s no cost, but if your going to take a tour book it in advance. It takes about 3 hours or so. It was worth the time. Please hit “Like” if this was helpful. Thanks.

Ben Henderson: Really enjoyed the tour inside the Capitol building. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Really interesting history and beautiful inside. Liked the fact you can then walk through a tunnel to cross over to the library of Congress which again was beautiful.

Isabelle Tran: Beautiful architecture from the outside. Recommended to book in advance for a tour. The park outside is a beautiful place to relax after a long day of touring, including some cherry blossom trees.
