DC Department Human Services: what do users think?

T T: My experience was excellent. The staff was very informative and no nonsense. Have your information and have it open. They are by the book! so yes, I had to leave and come back with one document I didn't have. The front desk lady is a sweetheart ❤️ thanks for letting my son charge as he has asked politely. Ending my experience with Velina, she was very smart, helpful, worked quickly with excellent customer service and care. In my opinion this office is very compassionate about helping the residents of the District and I would recommend. This review is for the Energy Office only as I have not been to the other departments. The entrance security was also excellent.

Jack Novak: I arrived at 9:30am and was seen at 2:30pm. You have to be prepared to wait a long time to get seen. It's not the most comfortable or inviting building to wait in for half a day. However, once I was seen, the staff member working my case was kind, helpful, and clearly dedicated to assisting me, although I'm sure it had been a long day for her as well. In the next cubicle over, I heard another customer talking about how she had been sent away yesterday because they were at capacity, and she was almost sent away today when a staff member recognized her and said "not her, I told her to come back today, we'll help her today." I believe all the people who left negative reviews of this office had genuinely frustrating experiences, but I also believe there are sincere, helpful people doing their best here.

VaChelle Monroe: This location... No matter how early you arrive, they let you in you stand in line and by 8:30-9:00 they tell you, they have reached capacity for the day. If that's building capacity , you should have known that before you let everyone in and stand in line. You always have to make a second trip because they never handle what you came in for on the first trip and you are there all day. It's a bit crazy that you need help and they treat you like you don't matter. They seem to need more employees or a bigger facility to handle the capacity of people that come in on a daily basis.

Nathan Haddad: In Corona times No body answer your phone. I was on hold for 80 min 3 times. finally in all 3 I disconnected myself. I went to office . 2 person are there do their own personal things and don't know nothing. All they told me Forms are there!!!!!! They don't even get anything from you. Why are open ??? It is not fare to the people that have kids . They don't care.

Gabrielle Brown: I’m giving the office five stars based off of my interaction with the case worker Ms. Panda. She treated me with dignity and was more than accommodating when it came time for me to bring in my supporting documents. The wait was extremely long and very tiring, however I’m simply appreciative of the kind words and efforts of Ms. Panda.

Lola3502: This is the most horrible office in the city. The government should be ashamed to sponsor such laziness and incompetence. The security starts fights with, threatens and attacks clients, even handicapped ones. I literally withnessed a 6foot tall security guard jump in one woman’s face, then all of them attacked her proclaiming they from SE and don’t take ppl talking smack. It takes months to process paperwork (I literally received an update to my case over six months after filing and I’m over 60). They fail to correct mistakes they make. If you call the center no one EVER answers. If you go to the center during the day, you will be waiting all day just to be seen, and not because it’s so over crowded. The workers literally sit around the front desk and don’t do much until the day is almost over and they ready to go home. Then guess what, they kick the rest of the people, many who have been there since the doors opened, out of the center and tell them they have to come back the next day and wait all over again. Then the workers literally use the excuse that they only have to see ten, I repeat 10, clients per day. So, why they hire so many then I don’t know. The city knows about this, DHS HQ on NY Ave NE knows about this, management at that center knows about this. DC government has played a vital role in kicking poor people out of this city tho, especially Bowser!

La'Voncye Cooke: I have been there several times for the same reason. The only way I was able to get the right help was to bring my case worker. The staff is unprofessional from their appearance to their attitudes. The made up security officers are the worst. This is a government agency and it operates like a back alley pool hall where people don't care about how your treated. There's no one to complain to... do not even waste your time asking for a supervisor to them it's a joke... To keep it real none of those agencies care about you they are just there for the benefits and a pay check. I wish I didn't have to go there if I could work believe me they would never see my face... it's so bad before I go there I have to take my dont kill nobody drugs... lol

Alphonso G.: I've never seen so many ppl waiting for hrs. And the workers move as if they have all the time in the world. The ppl behind the front desk are extremely Rude and have no since of urgency. I literally sit in this place for over 3hrs. And yet wasn't able to get anything done and was told at the last min. That they couldn't do anything but accept my paperwork and I would had to come back the following day, which I did and was here even longer and still didn't get seen. The worst location out of all of the locations in Washington, DC. They don't do any work at this location and will only keep redirecting you other locations. Your Tax Dollars being wasted by the sec.

Erica Ibarguen: Walked into this location to assist a client with their Medicaid renewal when I tried to explain my client's Medicaid issue I was treated very rudely by one of the workers. This location lacks professionalism and customer service etiquette not only amongst regular clients but also those that work at other agencies. Will stick to the h st location from now on.

Cecilia Bautista: I was there this morning. The security and the construction people were screaming at me. They are so disrespectful. The construction people didn’t even want me to read the sign on the door. They could be a little more polite.

Vince: Absolutely the worst service I've ever experienced in the USA. If we weren't located in the US, I'd interpret the treatment as demands for a bribe. Most of the workers are incompetent. Reaching them requires waits of 2-4 hours, and when you reach them they don't know anything and can offer no help. Two times, two different workers promised to call me back later, that they had to keep taking calls in the meantime because my case was "too complicated" (it wasn't complicated at all). Of course, they never called me back. They are liars. I asked to speak to a manager - they put me on hold for 5 minutes than told me no manager was available and they had to keep taking other calls. I tried going to the agency in person but due to COVID only the call center was open. This agency is utterly broken. Dealing with enrollment or any paper work issues is an absolute nightmare. The extent of incompetence and disregard for the public, the people they're paid to serve, is astonishing. If you have to deal with them, my advice is: try resubmitting applications online - do everything you can to help yourself. The other thing, is to keep calling the call center until you land a competent agent, of about 8-9 calls I've had 1 good agent so far.

Queen27 Campbell: My information was forfeited by this department an a complete stranger was given Medicaid under my name without ever presenting the proof or proper documentation to deem them eligible in the first place I guess what ever worker did it knew the person they stole my information for !!! I’m angry because this has resulted in my real insurance being canceled while I’m undergoing medical treatment I have called at least 26 times since 6/15/22 requesting this insurance be Canceled and demanded the fraud department let’s say neither has yet to respond back but I’ve been informed to contact a lawyer instead look at this as blessing in disguise because this is definitely a lawsuit

M K (Maury): They have used false information on my case, and when I contacted them, a very rude, belligerent woman lied and said the false information would be what would be used. If she would only look at the Social Security website, she would see that her accusation that I receive both Disability and Retirement income together is a total lie; Social Security doesn't pay both together to anybody! I am filing a civil action against the Department; let them identify her and fire her because a liar should not be working in public service!

tamia williams: It’s been over two months and My case is still pending. Every time I call it’s a different lie. A week ago I told them to just deny me and the lady laughed and said no. 😑 I applied March 13th today is May 10th.

Antoine Bruce: I have a whole novel worth of complaints with regards to the DHS-shelter, monitoring, complaints, and investigation unit, specifically against Ms. Kim Glover. She's definitely not good. Because of her Negligence in investigating my complaints against Newyork Avenue men's shelter staff and supervisors, they were allowed to Retaliate against me by lying on me saying I was stalking two of the female staff who worked in the shelter, one of them I had filed previous complaints against which was sabotaged by the shelter's senior supervisor to make my complaint be deemed without merit. Then the shelter staff and supervisors used the lies that they made up against me to issue a Notice of transfer against me to get me out of the shelter, and stop me from filling further complaints against them. Just evil.

Tressy Conyers: I been terminated after submitting all my paperwork they keep taking about someone is going to call yet nobody calls

D Tefe: After being put on hold for over 3 hours and they hung up the phone on me. My experience with this agency is very horrible both in person and over the phone. It's full of lazy, incompetent, unprofessional and rude staffs. I wish I could rate them in -5. The mayor, the DC council or whoever is responsible need to investigate and fix this agency.

Rey Kim: Every single last one of you lazy shiftless hateful rude LYING NON-workers are gonna starve one day really really soon. Laura Zellinger get your office in check! None of you actually care about humans!

Crystal Logan: I tried to get help for my disable sister, who was in need of assistance for her disability. But I could never get anyone to assign her a case manager/social worker, I even called APS but they were throwing me in circles, stating that she should apply for Maryland even though all of health benefits and house is in DC, she even has a DC ID card! I currently live in Maryland but needed some assistance to help her since she is a DC resident and there was a family emergency to required her to get more assistance. These people are not very helpful for local DC residents at all and I questioned the departments policy on helping residents who are disable or a senior citizen.

Baj Khan: Couldn't see #socialworkers and couldn't get anybody on the phone. Ion know why the government pays these people.

Faux Real: These people are miserable and DONT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE. If you hate your job quit. No help on the phones or in person. You will get 3 parts aditude and 1 part bad customer service. Either the agents are nice and unhelpful, or can help you but wont and are having a bad life or hate their job, or you, I havent figured it out yet. There is no accountability for how they talk to customers in or on the phone, especially on the phone. Who watches the watchmen.... no one, now hold for the next agent who won't help you, frustrate you, and make you want to hang up after being on hold for 30 minutes plus, getting transferred to anyone who cant help. Also agents, talking over customers or just waiting for you turn to regurgitate your training or a piece of paper is rude and callous. It should not be an us verse them mentality when your asking for help

Vreanna Valaysia: I was afraid to come here because the reviews, but once I got here it wasn’t busy at all. The workers were helpful too. Took 20 minutes.

Mes Hope: They don't answer the phone I have been calling for over a week every day and they put me on hold for many hours and they never answer the phone rather they hanged up on me. When I go in person the employees are very rude, nasty, lazy, unprofessional men and women. Most of them needs to be fired and the mayor need to restructure these social service agency. Oh nevermind the mayor is no different herself, they are the reflection of her administration.

renee tate: This place is horrible they need to learn some customer service some respect like they treat you like you nothing there

Baria Teferi: I feel sorry for the people who have to go to this office every day. A simple paper work takes days to be processed at this location. The public service in developing countries is much better than this location. I went there to drop off a form for someone and after I waited there for 2 and half hours, they had to kick everybody out calling the security because the time was 4:45 pm. During the waiting, only one person was working while 4 others were chatting and laughing. Unbelievable!!! I was always against the idea of technology replacing these types of jobs in a couple of years, after my experience at this particular location, I think it is the best idea. The employee st this location treat the people as their enemy when the are the reason they all have jobs. I don't even know how they find those employees because everyone in the building has the same DNA.

Jay Destine: I was furloughed for a whole month due to the government shutdown. However, I had to apply for food stamps and when they gave me the paperwork I had to go location 645 H street which I couldn’t due to renovations. Walked up and down the street for 20 minutes until I got frustrated and ask someone and they directed me to the correction which is around corner which I would have never known. They have no signs at all so how would anybody actually where the location is. Went in there and these employee are GHETTO FABULOUS!!!!. And I really mean it gave the girl my ID and she still spell my name wrong big as day. Stay in school cuz these folks that work for the District Government, need more then training. During our furloughed these folks hurts us instead of helping employees that was furloughed from the Federal Government, thanks for nothing and get more then training and then use your common sense and common courtesy. The next you would never know who a person is treat them with kindness. Remember one thing you work for the Mayor, and you really make her look BAD ✌🏽

Melissa Rizio: Its been almost 2 hours and I've moved about 10 paces. When is this place going to overhaul its internal admin issues, not the building itself. 13 years and no improvements. Recertification should be online for everyone, especially chronic conditions. The employees here act like they are doing everyone a great favor.

Elizabeth's Shoe: The wait is long but not as bad as the case managers. I met an African American lady who simply did not give a damn about acknowledging my presence and that would’ve been fine had she not be talking with her co workers very causally, taking breaks and even laughing. She would then come back to work on my case and then back to chit chat. She was talking for about 2 minutes with her colleague when she decided to look at me and said “you can go now”. I got up and asked “am I done” and she responded “umm hmmm” and quickly resumed her fun convo. #Unprofessional.

Linda Johnson: I been on hold for 3 hours and still have yet to talk to someone.

Tina Smith: If I could give them a half of a star I would...Its a shame how they treat people in that place..I got interview there before by some guy name Max terrible!! first off he call it the food stamp building and I'am like what this is DHS people come here for other reason then food stamps and he was very ignorant he could'nt answer no questions I was asking and then I guess he call he self trying to be funny and gets his supervisor she was even worst..I really hope that one day they or one there family members don't need assistant because KARMA is no joke and god has a way of humbling people...

Sharria Thomas: Transgender community BEWARE! Zero stars, had to give one just to write a review. After giving all my information to verify my identity, because I have a feminine voice I was asked whom I was calling for, when i said myself the operator hesitated and told me to hold on. After about 3 minutes i was rerouted back to the main menu to be helped by someone else. I immediately asked to speak with a supervisor once my call was answered for a second time. I was told that Mr. Washington was informed of my concerns and to leave my number for him to call me back, when I informed Deandrea that I had not given her any information to inform Mr. Washington about, again more hesitation but no explanation as to why I was lied to. Once I did explain the situation to her she then told me that all of the verification that I had already provided including: name, dob and ss# , were enough to have my request completed. This should never happen no matter what I sound like over the phone, and my time should not be wasted playing hop scotch with operators because of there lack of knowledge when it comes to the dynamic of the community that they serve. Two words DO BETTER! I made sure to asked several times if my call was being recorded to insure that there is proof of this encounter.

Kionna Worthington: The phone lines are either constantly busy like they take them off the hook or you are on hold forever waiting to speak with someone. Just to get a 2 sec answer and hang up before you can aak another question. Dont tell people call or go online if the options are despicable

Jonathan Tindle: the website clearly states that if i need help with obtaining my medical id number i can call the number on the website. however I've been hung up twice by that number. whats going on? who is getting paid to not do their job

Anna R: They don't list their hours of operation on this website like everyone else does and if you call you're on hold forever. I would hate to see what it's like to go there in person.

Diana Gorbunova: They are not professional at all.

Arlington County Dept. of Human Services: what do users think?

Stephanie Wells: I wish I could give 0 stars. This place is a joke. How funny- I got kicked out of their intern program, and since I have been the Director of Social Services at nursing homes in Silver Spring and Bethesda. I hope no one else interns there, especially under Miki Goerdt - she was the worst supervisor. Made me feel like I was nothing. Absolutely awful. I am solely here to protect any incoming interns. Save yourself the hardship. Look somewhere else. You will thank me.

Jorge Parrado: Took a friend there because he needs help. Very nice building but then, Arlington has a lot of money.

Carthornia Poole: Great customer service. Very quick and helpful administration department

Lester Gutierrez: They take great care of me and are extremely nice and efficient.

Jenny Santiago: The Arlington County of Virginia provides a variety of services. The place has a kind and compassionate staff. They offer mental health services, housing, also a clinic to test patients with any problematic condition.

Maria Ashwell: The Mental Health Department is great! You see people that care. The Psychiatry Department, I guess it all depends who you work with. I have worked with genuine people who take the time to listen and who are compassionate, empathetic... then some who are not. The Benefits Division is good, but you have to know exactly what you want. I have been in situations where I was trying to ask if they had certain programs, or if they can help with certain situation; just to be looked at with blank or confused stares, or told they have no idea what I am talking about. Later, I would learn they did have programs that could've been beneficial to me. The Family Services Division is scary. There is a mixture of social workers, some great and understanding and others who are judgemental and biased. I would be extremely cautious in working with this department.

Jaime Shields: Patricia Rivers AKA Pat Rivers AKA Ms. Rivers is the Division Chief here. I was dealing with her through the job interview process. She is kind of nice, but then never gets back to you. She never wants to put anything in writing. She always calls and says call me back. I really felt hurt and disappointed through the job interview process with her. Going to call in tomorrow and inform HR of the same. She always told me that HR had to make the decision, but funny enough I never ever heard from HR. Then when I asked to speak with HR, she said, deal with me. This was such a disappointing and hurtful process. The process needs to be corrected and some critical staff changes need to be made. So sad, before this I had some much respect for Arlington Co having used their services.

tornado b: I had to give them 1 star but I couldn't comment unless I did. The country needs to do something about its employees working here (In all departments ) and take appropriate action.

Daniela Ramirez: The stuff is very slowly, I had to wait for two hours for a vaccine

danceswithcars w: Reverse racism seems prevalent in a lot of what I encounter. While polite enough, also felt singled out because of lack of colour like it's for us, not you, by staff and visitors, one guy seemingly getting in my way on purpose multiple times when I had no reason to interact with him at all, like I'm in charge here, kind of bully on the block gang like while security steps up to ask what I'm there for even before warmed up a bit, enjoying the blowers at entrance after over an hour walking there in the cold, given transit discriminated similarly, and outright attacks other times. D.C. Department on Disability Services: what do users think?

Victor Salcedo: Overpromises I will tell you they speak a good game but help yeah they will not help you. To be honest, they will take your information like tax documents shred the paperwork to use you as a statistic to get more funding by the government. Do not waste your time and if they ask for your taxes and paperwork do not give it to them you will not see it ever again. Told them to close my case because all mouth and zero action so what's the point of having a program for people with disabilities. TBH they do not GAF about you, to them your a statistic just another number.

Lakina S. Edwards: Great service overall! It’s best to have an appointment beforehand. Every employee was polite, friendly and eager to assist and provide me services. In addition to receiving the best services from my assigned Caseworker, Mrs. Trunk, I feel confident- more than ever! - with the missions and goals that she has encouraged & inspired me to accomplish. Thank you, DDS for providing me great services!

Elizabeth Shokunbi: I thought I was the only one experiencing issues with this department. They don't return calls then they have no plan in place as to help. Plus they keep calling us to come back to their office. I'm really frustrated with them and about to file a lawsuit against the department. Such a bunch of incompetence. They need to let the mayor know if their caseload is such that they cannot return calls/emails within 24 to 48hours also.

Deaf HustleBTC: They are so unprofessional in ways of supporting people with disabilities to obtain jobs. They provide very little resources no matter how many times I have tried to work with them. I can now see why this department on disability is failing so many of us to be able to lead a quality lifestyle and be part of a work force.

R.Titilope Odejimi: Trainings are usually very productive but, when the training exceeds a certain hours, there should at least be some form of refreshments.... At least water.

Chandra Metts: This is the worst government agency I have ever dealt with. The caseworkers does not answer or return your calls for weeks at a time. Very unprofessional. The absolute worss

G. Anthony Sims: Poor actuate service for person with Disability, Experience took (3) test , one conselor talk placement, she relocated, the End. Nothing therefore waste 8 months, I mean nothing.

Ronald Henderson: Stil waiting on my case worker to call me back its been week . Have. Anyone have anything ggoo to say about this place. No one is answering the phones.

Courtney Sneed: The Service be better for people with Disability need more effort and more and do more better and it’s helpful

Graciel Moya: I don’t recommend this service at all! I’ve been there and yet they don’t help at all. I rather not go there again

Jmelle Harris: Plenty of areas of opportunity for improvement; especially in offering free, fair advocacy to assist with in-depth grievance and appeal processes.

J king: The Pharmacy is the worst place. The waiting time is over an hour to get your meds. The staff are unprofessional and rude.

Washington DC Medicine Board: what do users think?

Connie Worley: This service experience was DEPLORABLE! Unfriendly, discourteous, originally told by HEALTH REGULATION/ licensing registration- Miss Rawls- re:reinstating of my nursing license (- 40 plus years! BTW ) had been told All could be accomplished in one visit there Including CBC. I had all documents in order-! Then after paying was told had to have CBC ELSEWHERE. Bottom line- received NO COPIES OF WHAT I WAS required to bring. Got a receipt for $ 230. Dollars- PERIOD! Am requesting a reply for robotic service. Connie Worley, RN- a patient caring/ stellar career/ MAJOR CHARACTER

Salatta Shenanigans: INCREDIBLY difficult to contact anyone to get needed information if it can't be accessed via the web, and getting my license took MANY months because instead of going through my application as a whole a listing out the various issues, they would take 2 weeks to get back to me on what was wrong. I would fix it, send it back. 4 weeks later I would hear back from them "This minor thing is wrong, please fix such and such" Okay, send it back in. AGAIN "This other thing is wrong, please fix such and such" WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW THE FIRST TIME DON'T YA THINK??!! Prepare yourself for EXTREME incompetence from a typical government agency if you hope to interact with the DC board.

Christine Malati: Very organized and responsive during the licensing process.

Ayen Salima: DC BON, the staffers are very professional and personal. They are friendly and genuinely caring.

DC Department of Aging and Community Living: what do users think?

Janice Sanker: Been trying to get in touch with the Case Manager name Perez for 3 months concerning my Mom. He won't return phone calls at all!!!!!😳☹️ . Rehab Center won't check on my paralyzed Mom every two hours to change her from laying in her mess. Most of these places don't do what they said they will provide. The family is better at paying an individual to come over and live to take care of your love ones. The whole healthcare system is broken and robbing people blind after they have paid their taxes and worked All their lives for the next generations behind them. Then you can't even understand the language barriers.

Frankie Hargrove: I went to the Department of Aging for assistance five months ago this June. A Mr Plathon Watson led me on to believe Id get assistance. He lied. Now I'm 5 months behind in rental assistance and electric bill is now $1073.05. He refuses to even reply to my pleas to answer my emails/text messages.

orandra cotton: It is always difficult to see your parents age and become physically unable to do the things that once came so easily yo them. Consequently when my mom and me made the decision to allow me to become her care provider it was an emotional experience for me. From the very first contact with the dc office in aging staff person Jennifer and Shelia to the receptionist team greeting you in the office it has been so smooth and compassionate. Having worked for dc govt once I know this is not always the case. I want to commend this office and especially thank publically ms. Witherspoon and Harley for their professionalism.

Frieda BrownSjogren: The staff is exceptionally friendly and sympathetic. I was helped right away and they keep me thoroughly informed about the status of my mom's case. When it comes down to taking care of the elderly, DC rocks!

kandi zanese: A mR Joseph. ALLEGRETTO TOOK a thousand dollars out of an old womans disability account in atlantic county nj- for a credit card that was charged off her credit report 13 years ago. Also The salem county jail in NJ told the nj transit bus company not to pick up four elderly people one was 75 from the desolate bus stop in woodstown nj. So the salem county jail could arrest them

Jacqueline R. Coachman: Meeting the seniors here are more flexible and understanding one ☝ anther..Especially Darnell he's just an instructor and work wonderful with other's exercising, the lunch is great.. I I tried to participate with the rest of the program and so far I'm doin great.👍

Bunny Mallory: We help Seniors and those with disability

Maria Maria: There is more fraud committed by the OIG’s employees than the people they are investigating! The agents lie to and fake it to do what they do to. I’ve read their mission statements about integrity, it’s a joke! This agency has no integrity and there is no one to call because they don’t want to be called out on their fabricated measures. They are using covid to avoid everyone. How many people have gone back to work? Work remotely? There is a reason for them not answering any phones. No one cares about accountability or the truth and no one there tries to rectify any mistakes. The headquarters is closed and has been closed. Amazing how everyone across the board has given them one star, lol!

Sabrathia Draine: This is another worthless District of Columbia government office put in place to give the illusion that there are measures in place to monitor, investigate and control fraud, waste and abuse of power.

Xavier Cavanaugh: Got to read all the post in regards to this City Government Building/Department - as of this day I was told from the Mayor's office to do, and will update information about the (office, customer service Reps, etc.)

Walgreens LLC INC CORP: Not the help I was expecting. We'll see.

DC Office of Human Rights: what do users think?

Anne Klein: Extremely rude and unhelpful. Specifically, the employee in charge of emails should be fired or retrained. If it is a shared mailbox, the manager in charge should put time into making sure the employees aren’t behaving like immature school children. Calling in is useless. The people that answer never know anything. The time it takes to get a response is far too long. Perhaps if they had people doing work instead of sending condescending emails, their backlog wouldnt be astronomical. Poorly run office. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of visiting DC which lead to having to go through this agonizing process. Woe is me.

Kevin Cole: I worked under a very homophobic supervisor for months at capitol hill group ministry in DC- this office afforded me the opportunity to here my sexual harrassment and discrimination claim- they are very helpful. They give you a voice!

Kile Goodman: Just got e-mail an got back message kind of funny, told my compliant about over all an just a funny message hearing they are good we will see.

Wang Vera: HOW TF YOU GET IN CONTACT WITH THESE DUMMIES

Max: They are very good and helpful.

Howard County Department of Social Services: what do users think?

Roy Denise: Have yet to hear back from anyone regarding case. Was scheduled an “appointment” via voicemail without my consent or confirming if that time worked for me. Have tried to call back for a week to reach someone. No direct contact person, so I’ve left several voicemails and also emailed back the department that sent an email regarding my “missed appointment”. By the looks of the reviews, I will not continue with my case or even try. Should consider replacing staff and management this isn’t a good image.

Andrea Michelle: I stopped by here this past friday, I was taken care of by Ms. S Smith a child support representative, when I tell you this lady's customer service is impeccable believe me. Literally went out of her way to help me out on a letter that I needed ASAP, she provided me one stating exactly what I needed without the need of a template. I was out within minutes not sure if because of Covid the place seem to be a little too empty. Overall I was very satisfied from when i first entered the building and was directed exactly what I needed to do by the security guard.

Shannon Smith: I have been waiting to receive my benefits for my new child that I've had 2-5-2021. I first completed a new application online through Mythink.md.gov during the pandemic. I never received anything. I've been into the office numerous of times since last yr. I've spoke with many workers and supervisors telling me this system has been down, I was told I'll receive the help and never did. I was told this January 22 that my child was added to my case in November 2021 and I have yet to receive any benefits. I have been told to wait and thats what I've been doing and nothing has change. In February 22 I was told that I had to be interviewed again for the benefits, and I'm still waiting on my new child's benefits. Can someone please help me I have run out of options and I dont know what to do going forward with my case I can no longer wait. Please help me.

BETTER life: Applied for food stamps in February. Letter came in mail stating I needed to provide proof of being a student. I did. Another letter came a few weeks later stating I needed to provide proof that I had a job. Okay? I did that. Did not receive food stamps so I went in the office. Then they stated I needed to provide proof of paying my phone bill and rent...? Wait what? Mind you, I literally had to go in myself to find out I needed additional documentation. Never given an interview and never told I had to provide all of this extra documentation. All of my goings into the office we’re self-prompted.Lack of communication and care for those in need is the most disgusting aspect of this establishment.

Anitra Kemp: This is one HORRIBLE place, and I hope those who are responsible for a child losing their life will pay for the rest of there’s. I had a HORRIBLE experience from a social worker that case was not involving me as the parent. Her name is Rachelle Thomas and she is Not for black families in fact she’s about destroying the black family, someone in her family failed her and she’s clearly taking it out on children in need of her help. She lies and approves of abuse on a child if you are sign to this lady immediately ask for someone else she’s the devil.

Tiara Evans: Since receiving stamps I’ve NEVER had This issue! This Lady Tiffany is so incompetent! She keeps Giving me the run around with my Case! I submitted my information for my redetermination! Somehow this lady went from looking at my redetermination to all of a sudden sending me more documents that should’ve been sent from the beginning and on top of that she saying that substance abuse is going to contact me. I’m so confused Because I’ve never done Drugs! And ontop of that when I spoke with DHS earlier today they told Me my redetermination Was approved! So why is she contacting me telling me she is going to make adjustments to my Case! I’m Honestly starting to Think she doesn’t know what she’s doing! Does anybody know how I can get in contact with a supervisor!!!!!! This is ridiculous!!!!!! Can legal Action be taken?!!!!

Luz del Alba Fernandez: They never answer their phone calls or return your calls when you leave voice messages or even emails. When I first applied I kept giving them all the required proof and they always denied me saying they never received the documents. Took me about 5-6 months dealing with them to finally to get my case. Now when It was time to re certify I came to my appt, brought the Proof they required only to receive a letter a few weeks later that they are canceling my case for not attending my appointment. I went again to speak to someone about this and they told me I was fine, only to receive a notice again that my case was canceled for not bringing in proof for re certification.?? They are usually nice when I go but they just very un organized. They always forget to put your paperwork in the system or tend to loose it.

Mike Betnun: The phone menu when you select the option for child support it routes you to a spam company trying to sell you social security benefits- it literally takes you from a government agency to a third party scam company (whoever set-up this routing system should be aware or fired)

Kandi Dent: My case worker asked me to send in pay stubs. I told her she would have them before 4 February 19. I emailed them to her and then went online and attached them to my file. I've been called here since 2:48 play til close and no one answered. So I decided to wait until the next morning I've been calling this place for hours and no one ever picks up to direct you to where your trying to go. One day i came in and decided to call while I was waiting for help. The girls (women do their job) at the desk just sat there and will pick up the phone and put the customer right on hold and kept talking among themselves. Horrible place really need new workers they are so lazy. Its your job do the work or go somewhere else. That simple.. Horrible staff

S. Awan: I've been trying to contact the office to get a call and apparently they never answer the phone. There office hours are wrong and haven't updated them and going to the office is useless because no one is there. They are quick to decline your benefits and wont get in contact with even though you left a voicemail. Ive been trying to apply for benefits since December and haven't heard back from the office until late January stating I've been denied via mail. This place is useless.
