Lawrence hailes: My experience at Unwind Wellness Center - Adams Morgan was superb. The staff was very friendly, and as a customer, I appreciated the Covid safety protocols they had in place. My masseuse Daniel was able to get rid of all of the knots I had in my back and shoulder. He was incredibly attentive, ensuring that I was comfortable with the amount of pressure throughout the massage. One of the best massages I've gotten in DC. I highly recommend him.
Eleanor Harvey: I moved to the Adams Morgan area in September of 2020. Since then, I have become a loyal patron of Unwind Wellness, getting a massage a couple times a month. Often I will wake up sore or stressed, call the studio in bed and they will be able to see me day of, that evening. The rooms, beds and music are soothing. The therapists are consistently expert and professional. Getting a massage is expensive, but I never regret spending the money. I'm telling you, these services are worth it!! After my appointments, I float home feeling rejuvenated.
Laura Dodson: It was clean, professional, and affordable. My first experience as Unwind was not a great one. However, once the owner heard about it, he found me a better massage therapist who was better suited to my needs. I didn't even realize how much tension I was holding until she started working my muscles. Worth a visit!

I am sure this and the other things were not a proper way to give a massage. Disgusting! Would definately not reccommend this place.

A. Rachel: I had a 90-minute deep tissue massage with Eric, and it was the best massage I’ve had in years. The whole experience felt restorative holistically. The ambiance inside is classy but subdued, and the staff is friendly and Covid-conscious. My massage therapist, Eric, is the perfect combination of skill, kindness, and conscientiousness. I explained how I struggle with posture and carry so much stress in my neck and upper shoulders. I got a huge amount of pain relief out of the session, and my muscle knots felt like they were melting away like butter on toast. If you need especially heavy pressure, I highly recommend Eric. Also: as a woman, I greatly appreciated his emphasis on ensuring I felt safe and comfortable. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

Devon Delmonico Conley: Eric is a healer of many kinds and methods. I scheduled with him based on his bio and services he provides. I was interested in medical massage for a few muscular spots that are taking longer to heal. He is truly a sports massage guru - knows the body, how it works, and how to fix it. He explains what's working correctly and what isn't and is a wealth of knowledge. Eric's bedside manner is energetic, welcoming, and fun! He ensures a comfortable and safe experience.

Angelica Oung: I wonder who the first man or woman who came up with a hot stone massage was thinking. Well I think they were a genius. I was a weary conventioneer in DC for just 3 days, suffering from jet lag and booked a 1-hour hot stone massage with Kim. It was perhaps the best massage I've ever had in my life and I don't say that lightly haven't been to some wonderful practitioners in LA and Thailand. Kim had a very intuitive touch for just the right amount of pressure to use and the stones in her hands were skillfully worked into her massage routine seamlessly so that they provided an additional source of heat and pressure that further facilitated relaxation. My only regret was that I did not ask for a longer massage. Thank you so much Kim I do believe this massage was how I managed to get over my jet lag so quickly. I also enjoyed the ambience of the spa which of course is a part of the experience. I would describe the interior as very genteel and the accessories were tasteful with giant plants in the waiting room that brought a touch of magic to the environment. They were also quite accommodating for someone looking for a same day booking. In short whether or not you are a visitor or lucky enough to frequent here often, I give DeLuca my highest recommendation, especially in the capable hands of Kim.

jenb: I booked a 60 min sports massage with Jason. I lift 3x wk and run 2-3x wk. I was having lower back soreness. Apparently I am/was unbalanced. This was definitely one of the best sports massages that I have had to date. The space is tranquil. Overall experience - wonderful and I have already booked my next appointment with Jason.

Brian J: I can’t share the same experience as previous posts. Everyone was nice, but this was not a deep tissue massage. There was no pressure and we just got oil rubbed on us for 90 minutes. This definitely was not worth $145 ($290 in total), will not be returning and will be sure to tell others to avoid the “deep tissue” and other services.

Karla González: Since you arrive the staff is very friendly and helpful. Victor, the massage therapist was amazing. I had so many knots on my shoulders and back and he worked them all and the relief at the end was incredible. I recommend the place.

Marsha: Beautiful Facility. Excellent staff. My massage therapist was spectacular. She (Nora) applied just the right amount of pressure where needed, listens when you need lighter pressure. Very professional. About $110.00 pp including Tip. Two things... your massage room maybe on the 2nd level...stairs and with bad knees - yikes! Parking is scarce, but its DC, therefore leave early for your appointment or rideshare.

Joanne Morrow: The staff was friendly, however 45 is the new 60 mins. I booked a 60 min couples massage and it started off with both massage therapist being friendly and asking what areas needed the most attention. Once I got on the table I felt as though I was getting a massage from an amateur. It was a little weird. I've traveled all over and have had plenty of massages and this by far was the worst massage for both of us. I'm not saying all the massage therapist at this business are inexperienced, but the 2 we had might still be training. I selected this place because of the reviews but I was so disappointed.

Catherine Killian: This was the BEST massage experience I have ever had. This was my sister's first prenatal massage and the entire team made her feel EXTREMELY comfortable. I did a Swedish massage and wish I extended my time longer than 60 minutes because they were so fantastic. Before we left, we had a chance to speak to Antonio and he was so sweet! Treated my sister and me to some goodies because we were celebrating my sister's birthday and pregnancy. We will be back here 100%!
Erika H.: Unwind is my happy place. I love this place. You can smell the calmness from just outside the door. Yes smell! Just as you open the door you are greeted with the faintly pleasant smell of the relaxing essential oils they have coming from the diffuser. You are greeted by helpful and professional staff member at the front desk that prepare you for your appointment. The inside is gorgeous!As you wait for you appointment, you are sat on the beautiful and comfy couches, to take in all the calming ambiance. The place has the softest warm lighting from the gorgeous chandeliers, to compliment all the calming creamy tones of the various furniture and decor. It has such a relaxing opulence about it, that makes you feel as though you are truly getting in your “me time” the we all need. The bathrooms are also gorgeous and always very, very clean. This place also makes for a really good gift. I’ve purchased gift certificates for a massage for friends to as as a bridal and baby shower gifts, birthdays or just give to a friend who could use some relaxation and self care. When my BFF’s fly into I always book a girls day appointment for a day at the spa here! Now down to the actual massage. The therapists here are so very good at what they do and are very professional. They always ask where you are carrying stress at, and do a really good job of addressing the area. At a minimum I come twice a month. The massage and overall experience I have here is so amazing that on my most stressful of days, I often just call and take whatever therapist that is available and I have always had a very comfortable and relaxing experience. I always come out feeling like a new woman. After my massage I am always asked if I would like any water, which I appreciate. This place is an integral part of my self care routine. I always leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated and calmly recharged. It’s really worth it to take time out of the chaotic and busy lives most of us live now a days, to just Unwind.
RichhTube: Still one of my favorite places to get a massage! I’ve been here a few times and haven’t been disappointed. I recently visited on a Friday morning for a massage and to kickoff my bday weekend and I couldn’t have thought of a better way to do so! We had a couples aroma therapy massage and it was all that I needed. 90min flew by very quickly and I wish o could have done 120min lol. The essential oils are placed just in front of your face as you lay on your stomach which set the mood for me. However, after inhaling the oils for a moment, my partner & I became a bit stuffy. I thought maybe it was just me, but after my partner confirmed she was feeling stuffy as well, we noticed that it may have been the oils affecting us. I’ve had massages before without aromatherapy, and wanted to try this. I would stick to regular massages, but I don’t regret trying this one bit. I was still relaxed and plan to come back again. The parlor took note that this was how we decided to kick off our celebrations and they went above and beyond to make sure we felt appreciated and good vibes were in the air. They have def set a standard for my expectations. You can’t go wrong here. The people are friendly, management attentive, and thoughtful. Hope everyone can have a lovely experience like we did.

Staff was all very nice even when we were running a little behind and a bit hectic at first. They got us calmed down and relaxed in no time. Will be back!!

Michael Ammer: My fiancé and I booked the 90 minute couples massage with Flor and Nancy N. From the moment you book, professionalism, and extremely high quality customer service is present. The moment you walk in the door, the environment wraps you in a blanket of relaxation. Low lighting, and some really elegant and beautiful decor. You are greeted immediately, and offered water. Nancy and Flor where amazing! After we left, my fiancé and I discussed that they some how managed to find our problem areas without us saying a word, and proceeded to work them out and now we both walked out feeling so relaxed and refreshed. If I could give more than 5 Stars, I would. I can say with confidence I would recommend this place to my family and friends Thank you!!!
Cristina Bastin: The massage started nice, but then halfway in the massage, they kept knocking on our door. They started arguing with my massage therapist. They made me move rooms in the middle of my massage. Gave me a robe and had me move to the room next to my room in my robe. Totally ruin the whole experience. When I got out of my massage there were plenty of rooms open with double beds that they could of used or just let us finish since we had 20 mins left. They just gave me 5 extra mins and still charge me the full price. Barley apologized. Never going back. Worst experience.
L M: I just got myself a 90 minute massage with CBD oil. I knew in the first 30 seconds that it was going to be one of the best massages of my life. Marco is a seriously talented therapist. I can’t recommend him enough. So grateful!
SB AT: Went back in November 2021, with my mother. The massage was adequate, but nothing exceptional, especially for the price point (note: this is the standard price I pay for massages, and I expect a certain quality, which I usually receive). My masseuse ignored my instructions – he had asked me if any area felt particularly stiff or painful, and I had mentioned my neck and shoulder area. He didn’t spend any more time on that compared to the rest of my body, and didn’t adjust his technique to deal with accumulated tension or pain. I also had to ask for slippers – the expectation was clearly that we would take our shoes and socks off and step directly onto the rug and floor, neither of which inspired confidence (c’mon, people, have you seen a floor under a microscope?! I’m not going to carry all those germs back into my shows). When I asked, we were told slippers could be provided, and they were, but this should be standard, and has been for all other massage parlors/spas I’ve visited. If you’re trying to cut costs, just tell me in advance, and I’ll bring my own. Also: the mask issue. This was still at the height of the pandemic, and I was very particular about only wearing N95 or K95 masks (which was later proven correct by official guidance). We were not advised beforehand that these would not fit into the headrests at the end of the message beds, and we were required to take them off and wait for simple, surgical-type masks – the only kind they provide. I was not comfortable with the level of protection these masks offered, especially since the staff wasn’t wearing N95-KN95 masks. This should be clearly communicated ahead of time, and customers should be allowed to make the choice about what risks they want to take on. Receptionist did not care about us once we had exited the massage room. I had wanted to ask a question, but was left awkwardly waiting by her desk while she chatted on the phone – you don’t know how to briefly put a conversation on hold to deal with a paying customer who is physically present at the time? I gave up, and just said “thank you, have a nice day”. There was no response, not even a gesture, like a nod, anything, and no opportunity to offer immediate feedback. Nobody asked us how our experience had been. It was like “thanks for paying, bye-bye”. I won’t be back. There are better options in the DC area, especially for this price point.

Kia Anderson: Wat massage has been great! I travel about 45 minutes and it’s worth it. Victoria is by far my favorite therapist. She is very in tune with my request. She is very skilled and personable. Im totally relaxed and able to rest my mind during my massage. Very impressed. I highly recommend Victoria if you get a chance to book.
Rachel L: Yep. All the reviews are true. I went here for my birthday and treated myself to a massage and WOWWWWEE. The online booking was so easy, I was on time and was greeted immediately and brought to my room. There was a fountain, white noise machine and music playing and it was so peaceful. The massage itself was incredibly awesome. I can’t wait to go back. GO HERE!
Marie Borromeo: It was my first time and the place for me is cozy and clean. Mikela did great, it was like her hands has sensors that she can really determine the right spots where pressure is needed. My body ache was lightened after she perfectly hit on the frozen shoulders, back, buttocks and legs. It’s a bit pricey but worth it though.
Kaila Gilbert: This place doesn't miss! higher price point than some but offers wider (and cooler) services that are just better than just being rubbed on Swedish style. Highly recommend Trigger Point, all deep tissue practitioners, and the ashiatsu for folks with deep persistent stiffness/knots/tension. Lovely setting, be warned of stairs haha

I love the ambiance, the cleanliness, and the professionalism of the caring staff and owner. Tonight I finally decided to write a review because my therapist did such an amazing job. I got the Wat Signature massage, which is a combination of relaxing Swedish plus deep tissue. The therapist deserves 5 stars for the work he did - he was so responsive to my body and my needs. Emily Adamson: Maru was just wonderful - I explained it was my first time and so she was very kind to give me basic rundowns as she led me through the appointment. I felt secure and safe - not embarrassed at all. It was so easy to book through the website and the people directing me in were very kind. The place is clean and comfortable. Maru clearly had lots of experience and I was grateful for her help. I work with backpacks and lots of standing, and I left feeling put back together, in a sense. The only issue I had was finding the place, but that was solved when I realized the business had helpfully posted a photo of the outside as a direction assistant. The man inside was able to further point me to where I needed to go. I would recommend this business and wish I had the time to go again next week.
Chelsea Montesdeoca: Rose was very nice and took care to work around my rolled ankle which I appreciated. I got a decent Swedish massage from her. The only problem is I paid for a deep tissue massage. Throughout the whole massage it just felt like no pressure was being applied to my issue areas. All of the pain points that I went in hoping to get worked out are still very painful. This place had a lot of good reviews and I’m super disappointed I didn’t have that experience. Maybe just got the wrong masseuse cause Iris seems to have many positive reviews. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t return here though.

Andrew Skelton: I've been going to this place for years now. I've been dealing with pain in my lower back due to sciatica and spinal stenosis. Regular deep tissue massages from Iris are one of the few things that provide actual real relief. I've been recommending this place to friends for years. I sure hope they've actually been going, if not they're missing out.

Kathi H: I had a one hour pain relief massage and would definitely recommend it. I had terrible pain in my left shoulder and neck. It was kind of urgent as I had to be on a flight to Europe two days later and was panicking about enduring the flight with this pain. Iris, my masseuse, was incredible! Very skillful, extremely professional, friendly, and she saved the day. She used a mix of hot stones, and massage techniques to work on my knots. It was a pleasant atmosphere, and a nice, warm room. A central location that was easy for me to access. I was a little sore the next morning, but by lunchtime I felt so free in my back and neck like I hadn't in a long time. The flight was a breeze. atophardie: I found Touch online, close to my office, so decided to try it. I was diagnosed sometime back with old muscle trauma in my neck and shoulders, a source of chronic discomfort. I usually seek out physiotherapists when the discomfort is unbearable, but the wait for an appointment was too long. Iris was my deep tissue technician, and she found the trouble spots and worked them over while attending to my entire spine and legs. She clearly was experienced, and her actions felt similar to that of sports physiotherapists I have used in the past. I could feel the loosening while on the table, and by the next morning my range of neck and shoulder muscle motion was normal. Iris checked in with me about my tolerance for pressure, and with consent did the job. I will be going back.

benz: Amazing services. Great Father’s Day from my wife. I received a 1 hour massage which included the back scrubs and hot stones. My masseuse, Yordonas was AMAZING. She did such a wonderful job in targeting the areas which I needed some relief. Did not feel rushed. She was super attentive and always checking if the pressure was good and how I was feeling. One of the best massages that I have received. Definitely going back for another massage with her.
Ondrej Tvarozek: Went in for a much needed deep tissue massage. I was with Ella, who was absolutely phenomenal. Really ensured to take her time in problem areas and even went a bit over time to ensure all desired areas were handled. I couldn't recommend her enough if you are looking for a specific tech. Definitely coming back.
Elizabeth Hoke: I received a 1.5 hr trigger point massage at Bluebell spa to treat debilitating sudden back pain and muscle spasms. I threw out my back on Wednesday, with symptoms peaking on Thursday evening. I booked an appointment for Friday morning and walked out a changed woman. I literally went from experiencing extreme lower back pain every time I walked, turned, or stood up to being comfortably mobile after the massage. I am so grateful for the work they did and will be returning. I did book the appointment with a female masseuse, but they gave me a male masseuse. I’m not sure why the switch happened, but it didn’t end up being a problem at all. The male masseuse I had was incredibly professional and tailored the appointment to my requests.
L Britton: Had my first prenatal massage with Ms. Almaz. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was so lovely. They have an adapter of sorts for the top of the table to accommodate your belly, and you stay on your front side the entire time. She did a fabulous job - would highly recommend!
Rachael Rund: Ms. Yordanos gave me the best deep tissue massage I've ever had! She gradually increased pressure and was attentive to pain and tickles. She incorporated stretch, weight, and heat techniques. My one hour massage felt like a two hour massage. Can't wait to come back!!

Sandy Ovalle: Amaaz is a great therapist! She made sure to address my concerns and took her time. You can tip by venmo or cash, which I prefer so therapists can get their money right away. The sign was not very visible so I first tipped on my debit card and then when i saw it I asked them to cancel since it seems like the payment was still processing. The receptionist assured me she cancelled the transaction. I requested a receipt for that, but she could not give it to me. I paid again since she assure me the transaction was indeed cancelled. When I reviewed my bank transactions the next day I realized I was accidentally charged twice. It took a while to get a hold of someone who could reverse that charge. But once I did, they reversed it without a problem.
Pamela Lloyd: Tonight I went to Blue Bell spa. My neck to the base of my back was in knots ,shoulder blade etc. I requested a 75 minute deep tissue massage. You can pick your masseuse, but this was my first time, so all I knew is I wanted a man! I got Marcio. I don't even know where to begin. He was kind, courteous and respectful. Before the session began he asked me what were my areas of concern. We discussed my concerns, he left the room to let me get undressed and a way we went. He periodically checked in with me to see how I was feeling. All along the way I felt great. I am typically a very chatty person; however, when I'm getting a massage I don't particularly care for a lot of conversation. I feel like he can read the room. Beyond the check-ins we didn't talk much. Perfecto! Sadly 75 minutes went just like that. At the end of the massage she asked me how it was feeling. I felt great.When I got off the table I was so relaxed, I felt super relaxed! I'm so grateful that I live within the neighborhood. Talk about a hidden gem.Bluebell, where have you been all my life? I'm so glad I have found this spa. I highly highly highly highly recommend spa and especially Marcio.

Revive Massage DC: what do users think?
Cody Laliberte: Three stars for Revive, four stars for Sylvia. [Note: the website does not list any information about their COVID practices -- my wife was asked to wear a mask for the duration of her massage, and we both had to put our faces into paper towels laid over the face rest. The masseuses also wore gloves the entire time.] We had a couples massage and arrived to be taken right to the massage room after confirming we had an 11AM appointment. After getting onto the table, it became apparent that the room smelled old, like stale water – which makes sense because there was obvious water damage on one of the walls. I understand that we didn’t request aromatherapy, but there were no candles or any fragrances of any kind, just an old, unpleasant smell. My massage table also creaked every time any pressure was put onto my back, loud enough that my wife heard from across the room – not very relaxing for either of us. After comparing our massages, my wife realized that her table didn’t have the heating element plugged in and was cold pretty much the whole time. Once we went out to pay, we were asked what massage we booked (did we really even get the massage we paid for?) and asked to fill out some client forms, asking if we had any existing pain, etc. – things that should have obviously been asked prior to the massage. Overall, my massage was decent for the price (Sylvia did a good job on my shoulders) but it’s on the cheaper end of massages for a reason and our experience was pretty unprofessional. Won’t return.
Courtney Codina: I had a great overall experience with Revive Massage and I will definitely be returning. Scheduling my appointment was easy and I was able to get in for an appointment that same day. The front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. Tamara was my massage therapist and I thought she did an excellent job. She was skilled and professional and I would happily see her again. The facility is clean and crisp, without a lot of clutter, and their rates are competitive. Two thumbs up!
Brandon Hankey: I cannot say enough good things about Revive. I’m a busy hairstylist which means I’m on my feet for 10-12 hours a day. I have been experiencing back and shoulder problems for years. I started getting regular massages. After trying several places, I found Peter at Revive. He knows exactly what he is doing and is very professional. I highly recommend him and the 90 minute massage. I cannot wait for my next massage!
Stef Van Rensburg: I’m so glad that I decided to go to Ivo for massages. I’m addicted to massages, and am a massage therapist myself, so I have had hundreds of massages in my life. But in the last couple of months I started to go to Ivo for massages, mostly for my constant lower back pain, and I can tell you he is one of the best - if not the best massage therapists I ever had. After getting my massage from Ivo, my back felt so much better - I could not even believe how much better I felt and I could move like normal. I definitely can tell you you will not make a mistake going to him.
All of the good things Everywhere: Ivo at Revive as my regular massage therapist even through these tough times of 2020. I feel safe, clean, and know my body will be taken care of in his professional, certified, and well-versed hands in each massage. I’m trying to support small businesses as much as I can in 2020 and this is one that I will certainly continue to support!
Haley M: Unfortunately my massage was poor quality. My massage therapist had cold hands, was super rushed, didn’t apply much pressure during a deep tissue (although I asked her to) and she kept doing the same few bad, amateur techniques on 1-2 spots of my back. It seemed like she was not paying attention and was just trying to rush as quickly as possible to be done with the day. It was disappointing because I paid a ton of money for this as it was a couples massage that was a gift. IF I go back I will definitely select a therapist mentioned in the 5 star reviews below.

He's traveled a lot so has a lot of good stories too but can still hit all the targets in one hour. Definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a massage to realign their muscles.
ASL Interpreter John: You can't get better than this! I have been everywhere for a massage and nothing beats Peter. He is very intentional with his technique throughout the entire massage; ensuring that every move and pressure point is executed with precision. I have a lot of knots in my neck and shoulders and every time I leave feeling refreshed and loosened up. I actually got goosebumps during my massage. The massage is very relaxing and comfortable. I am a regular here and wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Revive DC and Peter set a precedence for the massage experience and are very clean and professional. I would recommend Peter/Revive to everyone. Looking forward to my next appointment.
Griffin Anderson: Great shop in a convenient location. I broke my collar bone and was in an incredible amount of discomfort due to accompanying muscle tightness and swelling. Ivo was very careful to not irritate my broken bone and did a thorough job to make sure all the kinks were properly worked out. Needless to say I feel like a new man and will definitely be coming back for treatment throughout my recovery!
John Bekeny: I have been a Revive client almost from their opening. I have lower back/spine issues as well as frequent tightness in my shoulders, and whenever I start getting twinges or tightness, I make an appointment with Ivo and always come out feeling relaxed and centered again, with the twinges and discomfort gone. I have also had two massages there with Petar, and he is also an excellent masseur. He resolved in one visit some neck issues I experienced a couple of years ago. I highly recommend Revive.

Parker Kim: Great spa! Very courteous over the phone. I booked a couples massage for my partner and I, and he and I had a great time. It was my partner's first massage, and he was rather ticklish around the neck, but our masseuse was great about it! My body felt invigorated afterwards. We got an extra facial added on, and I came in a bit congested and whatever they did, it cleared it right up. Would love to visit again!
Ryan Jin: This is an amazing spa! I work out a lot and have been to many spas before but I found my favorite spa in DC area. The masseuse is really professional and released most of my very tensed muscles in the first visit. The environment is extremely clean, calm, and friendly. It is definitely worth the money. I had to tell the inexperienced masseuse that she was hurting me. She used her elbow and drilled it down my spine causing a burning sensation . I thought she was trying to dislocate my shoulder. Nothing about the experience was nice . I definitely don’t believe they are trained and just hired anyone real fast . This was not my first time having a massage but it was my first time there . Just horrible. 40 minutes of pain, torture, and suffering.

Jen Rubino: there are some great therapists there, in particular Kelly and Joanne. However some of the therapists literally do not listen to what you’re coming there for. I’ve wasted several sessions where this happened and it was a complete waste of money. And they’re very unsympathetic to concerns, at least in my experience. But, I highly recommend Kelly, Kate or JoAnne. They are absolutely awesome and will really help you!! I’d give them 5+ stars.
Eric Lim: I made reservation for my son because he was injured and has had pain for couple of weeks. However, he could not relexed while he had a massage because the massager was talking about his life for whole time. He could not feel any relaxation and wanted to stand up and leave the place in the middle ofmassage
Dean Danowski: I chose 1 because the owner of the business apparently decided to drop me as a client because I needed PT not massage & they couldn't help me. It is one of the most ridiculous excuses or explanations that I ever received and not an acceptable approach by a business owner to tell a client, his doctor & his PT how to manage one's health. The therapists are professional and do their job well though the owner is crazy.

We have literally served thousands of satisfied repeat customers over the that period of time. Unfortunately staff members have relayed difficult and uncomfortable interactions with you. As a business owner it is very important for me to provide a respectful and civil environment for my staff and to honor their requests if they feel like a particular client is not a good fit. I wish you the best in finding a practice that is a better fit.
Justine Weissenborn: Best massage I've ever had! Yesterday I had a 90-minute hot stone massage with Alison, the owner of Georgetown Massage and Bodywork. It was obvious from the start that Alison really knows her stuff and adjusts accordingly to meet your needs. I don't think I have ever experienced a more thoughtful and knowledgeable massage therapist. Even the word massage therapist doesn't quite feel accurate-- Alison is a true body worker! She listened attentively to my areas of concern and I left feeling totally relaxed. I look forward to going back and trying their other services.
Megan Reder: Infrared Sauna is one of a kind. Truly relaxing. The sore is beautiful & I will be a repeat customer. The prices are just right & you're not overpaying. Lauren Vacula: Such a gem right in the middle of Georgetown! Alison, the owner, is fantastic- and you can tell how much care and thoughtfulness she puts into this business. I tried the sauna and felt INCREDIBLE after only 20 minutes. I also picked up my first crystals during my visit. I can't wait to come back!
Vanessa Ferragut: This is officially my new favorite spa. I had the CBD massage last week and it was amazing. I had a couple of weeks of sleeping poorly on my neck and Libby (AMAZING) really worked out the kinks. She was a pleasure to chat with, and this massage was both strong and targeted to my needs. I cannot wait to start making this a monthly thing. Also, parking on R street made it easy to visit Georgetown without the hassle of metered parking or pricey parking garages. That's a HUGE bonus!
Miranda: Georgetown Massage and Bodywork knows what they're good at and have perfected it. Their massages are relaxing, their office space no frills, and their therapists are helpful and kind. The first time I went my therapist mentioned circulation issues in my back, and during my second visit my therapist talked more about it and recommended future service options. She even gave me some stretches to do for lower back pain.

The receptionist is super friendly and sweet. My services are always a joy and I tell all friends to try it out! After sustaining an injury, the very helpful massage therapists at Georgetown Massage and Bodyworks helped me to recovery and manage my pain. I currently visit about once a month because bodywork has become an integral part of my wellness routine, thanks to the specialized and effective care I consistently receive here!
N H: All the therapists focus on more therapeutic work and will listen to your requests and complaints. Most of them have worked there for years and the owner Alison has been in the area more then 10! Edit: New location, same great service! Right across Wisconsin from the old location, still upstairs but quite the upgrade! There are a lot of regulars so it can be hard to get an appointment sometimes but if you put yourself on the wait list you might get lucky!

Adrianne Eby: I had a fantastic massage at Eye Street! My parents got me a gift certificate for my birthday, and loved this place because of all the health and safety precautions they are taking around COVID. The space is tranquil and warm. My masseuse had the most calming presence about him. I loved how much context he gave about his style and approach to massage - he was most sports therapy based so he didn't use oils and did a lot of adjustments. I had never had a massage like this and absolutely loved it! As a former dancer and regular exerciser, I didn't realize this was what I needed. Highly recommend!

Toey is fabulous, and makes a point of listening to you (and reading your intake form) about your particular concerns--for me it's neck/upper back/shoulder tension (shout-out to everybody who's been working remotely the last 2+ years and not always sitting up straight!), along with legs. I found myself totally relaxing, and kicking myself that I didn't find Eye Street Massage Therapy sooner. Definitely coming back (along with my mom) sometime in the near future!

Ebony Caldwell: I love this place. Finding a massage place with multiple great therapists is a hard find in the DMV, but they've mastered it. The prices are very fair. The service is great. The facility is clean and they follow all COVID protocols. They're accessible which is great for those with mobility issues. I've worked with several therapists, but my favorite w/o a doubt is Angela. She's new to the location but I've worked with her over the last 4 years and she's the GOAT. I have a lot of chronic pain and deal with muscle tightness, knots, spasms, you name it. She is very intuitive to your body and can work problem areas without discomfort. The only limiting factor for the site is parking, but it's right off of a metro line and bus line and if you get there a little early, you can find street parking nearby.

Jane Twomey: I came to Eye Street Massage Therapy because I sometimes have intense muscle/fascia pain. I thought I would try a 45 minute massage with Edmund. I stayed for an hour and made appointments on the spot to have Edmund work with me once a week for an hour. Eye Street Massage is one of the best things I have ever done for myself. Edmund is a life saver. I can't say enough about how wonderful Edmund is!! My only disappointment is that I didn't find this service much, much sooner!!

Bri Acors: My boyfriend and I visited Tu Suva for a couples massage for Valentine’s Day. The set up and complimentary wine and chocolate was amazing however, the quality of our massages was not worth $250. Not to mention one of our masseuses was late. Upon return home my back was sore to the touch. Today, I have what looks to be burns from the hot stones that were placed on my skin. We were both very disappointed in the quality of the service that we were provided.
Jamila Jenkins: Tried out TuSuva instead of going to another massage place and I was pleasantly surprised. My facial with Negin was lovely. I wish as long but my face felt amazing afterwards. I had a massage with Megan and she will put you to sleep! Overall amazing experience. The only thing I would say is the waiting area can be very noisy and not as calming as I would have liked. But I definitely will be coming back for my techs!

Vy H.: Great massage experience here! Came here last Friday for a massage—their online booking is pretty straight forward and luckily they were open Christmas Eve! Was running a few mins late so I called them and the front desk was understanding but noted that they were booked back to back. When we arrived, they didn’t make us feel rushed and was very friendly. My massage therapist was great—she adjusted appropriately and overall the massage was excellent, I felt very relaxed. The room vibe was good too, dim lit with soothing music playing—there’s also a couch to put your clothes and belongings. An added bonus is they give first time clients $10 off and you get free hot stone with your massage!

Lucia Hassell: I've been coming to Etalon for the past few months exclusively with Sarah! If you like medium to deep pressure, Sarah is the masseuse for you! I LOVE deep pressure so her technique is PERFECT for me! She also introduced me to the cupping massage which was just what my back needed. It's amazing how the cupping identifies trouble zones instantly! The facility is cozy, clean and efficient. I love that the rooms are always the perfect temperature [never to cold]. This spa is not elaborate as some other spas I've visited [no sauna, showers, or other amenities... other than tea and chocolate that is 🙂], but the services offered meet my needs and allow me to get my selfcare in afterwork without feeling like I have take off for a whole spa day. If you are looking for friendly place with great customer service, excellent massage offerings and don't need the extras.. this is the spot for you!

Kelly Blackwell: Great experience. I called to book and was provided great customer service and very flexible availability. I arrived early (30 mins not on purpose but traffic was less than I expected). I was greeted and server immediately, even after telling them there was no rush I was happy to wait. The room and whole business is extremely clean, def a must for this type of service. My therapist was so nice, he asked a few questions to make sure he fully understand my needs, then he gave me some simple instructions to get ready. He returned in the appropriate amount of time and was sure to knock before coming in. He provided the most amazing 1 hour hot stone massage. Literally head to toe bliss. He used the appropriate amount of pressure, heat, and oil. After I was done, I was given plenty of time to get dressed, use the bathroom, and get myself together. At checkout the lady was super nice and offered me snacks. I was surprised with a first time discount. I will 10000% return. I am so happy I found this gem in my backyard. Highly recommend 10/10.

Marcella Labellarte: Lunar Massage has changed my life! I’ve lived in DC for 4 years and will soon be leaving, and I don’t know if I’ll ever find a massage comparable to Shuichi’s. I have seen him multiple times and tell everyone I know that he is a massage saint and a muscle whisperer - he has performed true miracles for me. I live with chronic illness, so I always have a lot of stress, which manifests in my body in painful ways. Shuichi is able to relieve so much pain and discomfort for me, and I’m so incredibly grateful. My only regret is that I never purchased the membership, but I’ve been telling everyone I know to go get one ASAP. Thank you Shuichi and thank you Lunar Massage!

Madeleine So: I was expecting great things from this place based on previous reviews, and I went there with my partner planning to become members. First, there is no couple massage option but that wasn't a deal breaker for us. My massage was decent, but my partner's was very lacking. His therapist didn't address the concerns and areas of tension that he brought up at the beginning of the appointment. Apparently, she may have been brand new to the practice, but I would expect a more consistent experience. Needless to say, we did not become members.
Veronica Till Goodson: My go-to spot for a massage in DC. I've seen a few different massage therapists and they've all been great. Online booking works perfectly and I've always been able to grab an appointment at a good time even last-minute. It's a cute, clean space, and the desk staff is nice. And also the price is super reasonable. If you're looking for a good massage at a convenient time and decent price, this is for you.

WG Wellness Center: what do users think?
Sara Nyman: Avoid this place. The towels were grubby, the room was cold and the masseuse forgot which service I had asked for half way through. Still, I decided I would tip c. 15% to try to be fair. At check out I was told this wasn’t possible and that they charge a minimum tip of 21%! I protested (there is no notice of this and they don’t mention this before you start your massage). The worst part was the masseuse actually physically withheld my credit card from me until I agreed to pay it. Completely unethical and possibly illegal behavior. It’s a shame because I used to come to this place quite a bit and really enjoyed it despite the lack of frills. Now they’ve had a small makeover and seem to be trying to coerce their customers to pay for it. The massage itself was fine, nothing special. There are a number of places within walking distance of here where you can get a similar massage without having your credit card held hostage at the end. Do yourself a favor and go to one of them instead of this place!

They don't let you choose, they told us "here the tip is 20%", and they insisted. This is totally unprofessional. First you don't ask, and second you let the customer evaluate the right tip base on how his/she liked the service! I will never return!

Michelle Medeiros: Worst massage I ever had! I did a deep tissue and reflexology, and believe me, it's not that good pain you're gonna feel. It was tooooooo strong. I felt tense all the time and left feeling much worse than when I got there. Plus, I had a sore, painful body for 3 days!!! It felt like as if someone had beat me very hard. Another thing I didn't like at all was that when I was paying at the end, I didn't feel like leaving a big tip because I hated the massage. When this girl saw how much I gave her, she told me that the tip needed to be 20%. The tip needs to be how much I feel like! I just wanted to get out of that place so I went ahead and gave her the 20%, but felt completely wrong about that. Another thing is that you'll have to have a lot patience just to schedule an appointment because their English is terrible. I asked what kind of massage they had and the girl on the phone kept saying she didn't know. I knew it was because she couldn't understand my question. They should put someone who speaks and understands English better as a receptionist. I should have given up right at that phone call and save myself a lot of pain and money.

Randall Casseday: I had another unbelievable experience at WG. I have never had the care that was given to me by the masseuse, except for Yi Yi. I extended the session to 2 hours because I could not get enough good service on my back and legs. I would have stayed longer if I didn't run out of money. She took care of exactly the pain and knot issues I pointed out to her. I have been coming to WG for over 2 years and have never had the care I did from Cherry. Every masseuse is professional and never misses any problems I point out. Especially Yi Yi, absolutely the best masseuse in DC. If you miss WG or had a bad experience (which I can't understand how you weren't satisfied), you are missing the best of Heaven. As long as I live in DC, I will be a loyal customer to this newly relocated professional and clean establishment.

Daniel Pineda: Worst massage of my life, I feel robbed. SUCH a pitty. I first visited this place a month ago and had a good 1hr massage with a nice therapist who knew what she was doing and cared for my needs. This is why I came back and this time I went ahead for 90 min massage and my God was it not worth a penny. The woman that gave the massage didn’t know what she was doing, at some point she wasted time giving a poor foot massage (to let time run), kept burping (apparently she just had lunch), never asked how I was or if I needed anything, not even at the end. It’s 120 dls I’m paying here to invest in my wellness, at least show you care... I’m so very dissapointed

Randall Casseday: I visited with pain and knots in my back from a poor bed and being on my feet 10 hours a day. The masseuse Judy found the areas that needed attention and through manipulation and deep tissue massage released the tension built up from the summer. Although the massage areas are tight and separated by only curtains, I was in the back and didn't hear any sound from anywhere in the shop. Her hands worked magic into my muscles and took away strains and knots in an hour. Great work for the price.
Nicole Thomas: Horrible do NOT GO HERE . Massage feels like torture. They hurt you the man moans so inappropriately. They offer you sink water when finished hen INSIST YOU PAY A TIP ! There was food on a crock pot in the shower some meat . The male staff was filling a bucket of water from the bathroom sink . Unprofessional. Lady was talking on the phone while massaging my friend. If you go please know you’ve been warned and GOOD LUCK youll look back and say you should have listen to throw review . I was dumb thinking that no way these people are lying it’s not that bad NO IT IS THAT BAD . Please save your money . They are not LICENSED. I’ve had massages before and I am able to relax in peace and sleep while getting therapeutic massages this massage just feel uncomfortable and HURT the whole time I was in pain . Byron Swift: I had an excellent deep tissue massage here. I had hurt my shoulder trying to write on a long airplane flight and the massage worked wonders. The physical plant consists of a couple large rooms with curtains dividing the massage tables, but nice music and peaceful.
T C Yehl: I have issues with lymphedema on my right leg after lypoma sarcoma removal. Judy is very skilled and has the best massage hands in DC. The atmosphere is relaxing and Judy is always pleasant and very accommodating. This spa has the best deep tissue massage in DC for a reasonable price.
ky s: I used the couples massage groupon. They were very very rough with my massage, actually left with more pain then when I came. When were leaving they even asked us to tip them more than what we did. The exact words from the receptionist was “This tip is too little”. They basically wanted to compensate for what was loss within the groupon.
T Adams: For me there is nothing Best about this place and Wellness is not easily achieved there. When I called to book, the person answering the phone had so little English, it was very difficult to make an appointment. They repeated my phone number, saying that was all needed When I arrived the next day after taking a taxi across town, I had no appointment. The second time I went there, I seemed to have been the first of the day. Once on the table, there was far more noise than expected. Upstairs people were walking heavily. There were at least two workmen, with buckets, banging around and talking loudly. The masseur spoke to them once but they continued for some time. When the session ended, I gave my card for the gratuity. The lady had no paper in the machine and did not understand the word APPROVED on the screen, so I was charged the gratuity 4 times before I took the machine from her hands and showed her it was empty!

I have seen Judy three times this week since she has offered special pricing for the grand opening I love her spirit she is very kind And respecful I have recommended three of my colleagues two friends and two players on the football team to go visit with her who also suffer with back problems. She guarantees her work If you don’t feel 100% satisfied she will make it rain she has over 15 years experience in Massage. if you don’t feel 100% satisfied she will make it Right. she has over 15 years experience in acupuncture and acupressure Massage, scraping & Cupping. This is the best week I’ve had in years I have slept the whole night through without waking up due to the pain Thank you JUDY. I will continue to see her three times per week until I get my body back in good shape again. The other thing I like about her She suggested I drink more water and eat more vegetables😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I will give her five heartbeats .
Kale Valentine: Very unprofessional!! Waste of money!! You pay for being tortured!! They will cause serious problems to your body and possibly kill you!! Please be informed that people who work there do not hold the DC massage therapist license! Most states requires 500 hours education for graduating from a standard massage school, and in this place, only one person has finished 36 hours online course. Think twice before you stop by!
Nizar Farsakh: Pretty good massage all over and the deep tissue massage is really deep. Other places don't always do deep tissue massage well but this one does. It is right on Wisconsin Ave which is convenient however the beds are separated by curtains, there are no separate rooms.

First Last: This place made me write my first ever review so take my word for it and don't go here. This was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've ever had. I work at a desk all day so I try to find good and affordable places for deep tissue massages to alleviate common neck/back pain. I walked by this place today and figured I'd try it out since it's a 10 minute walk from home. Boy was that a mistake, the massage itself was OK. Not good but not terrible and definitely not worth the price I paid. The real problem was the masseuse repeatedly trying to offer me "extra" services. After repeatedly telling her no at the beginning I thought she got the hint but half way through she slipped her hand where it didn't belong so I had to tell her once again and she stopped. Once the massage came close to ending she aggressively (verbally) tried again. I even tried the "I have a girlfriend line" and she turned that into coming back to see her with the GF for a "fun time". After telling her no for a final time she dropped it then demanded that I tip her. Just don't go here. Period. I wish I read the other reviews before this crazily uncomfortable experience.

Hector Hernandez: Wow, this place is a hidden gem 💎 and is definitely my new spot for massages. I was a walk-in and was greeted by my new masseuse Vivi. I was shown the types and prices of each massage along with the time increments. Payment was due before services were rendered which was fine with me and I was given the option to tip after the massage💆🏽♂️. Vivi's English was just fine and if there was any misunderstandings it was due to the masks 😷 since its still Corona Time are required by both parties. Rated the whole experience a 5 and if you want the same service request Vivi as your masseuse!!!!
Heather Franklin: I wouldn’t say it was terrible. The atmosphere is okay. The massage itself was GREAT! But we didn’t get the hot stones as advertised on their website and it ended 15 min early. Here are my complaints. For one, never had i ever paid for services before the were given and right off the bat we had to pay. Fine. But afterward we walk out and realize it was 6:45 and we walked in at 6 for an hour massage and a group of teenagers (I’m assuming the owners son and friends or such) in the lobby. It was very awkward and uncomfortable and they took up a lot of room and didn’t even move over. Then as we are leaving they had the nerve to asked for a tip. I get that it is customary to tip for I gave them a $10 for both therapist to split as that’s all I had on me. I told the owner that if I would have been able to pay after the service then I would have left a tip on the credit card receipt. But I’m not going to tip until I know how the service is. I would also suggest a sound machine in the room or quite music.

Richard L: I've been to this place several times to relieve my neck pain. For my last visit I was quite surprised how much the environment had got improved compared to the chaos of last year! Other than the overall cleanness, quietness, and exquisiteness of the space, their services certainly got better as well. The ladies are nice and always delightful to have a conversation with. One of the therapists Zaya has really excellent techniques -- I could feel my knotting almost completely gone after each treatment. Also, this place is not as pricey as other massage shops in DC., so...highly recommend!
Anahita H. Matin: I had a really bad experience with Art Massage. I once went for a couple massage with a friend of mine and I had a ok experience. Then I thought to book an single appointment and go there. Upon entering I asked them what type of massage do they do for couple massage? They answered $180! I said what type? They said $180! And they showed me a room. I repeated myself and I said I understand it is $180, I just want to know the type!! Then the lady said I have to pay first and demanded cash very rudely! Who carries $90 these days? Then the lady said $5 extra if I pay with card! And she started shouting and talking to her colleague. I refused to pay $95 and left there. The people there clearly Do Not understand any English! And they are really rude! Do yourself a favor and go around that block to another massage place. These people do no know anything about customer service and they do not want to bother having a payment system that supports credit cards! They also do not have any certificate and cannot speak proper English! If you guys cannot talk to your customers you better change business!

Steve Motion: I was feeling particularly stiff after the gym tonight so found this place on Google. What I liked: The massage table was heated and the room temperature was good. The massage was broken down into muscle warm up (with towel), and oil massage (no towel). Hot steam towel (oil removal) then essential oil press massage. The massage was full body including head and feet. The therapist was quite skilled and navigated tight muscles that needed working on and spent more time there. What I didn’t like: I can confirm that the staff do not speak good English which makes it difficult to explain problem areas or injuries etc. I found this frustrating as I have lower back pain so tried to explain I wanted medium pressure just there. Their website offers a $90 1 hour introductory special that includes essential oils, hot towels and hot stones however the staff had no idea about this and when I asked about the hot stone I was told it’s an extra $20. What I thought was funny: The therapist removed the towel that was over my butt for the first half of the massage and tapped my butt cheeks and said “Nice” which made me laugh. It was definitely not a sexual massage - she did a professional job of working my lower back and glutes - she did replace the towel when I turned over - no comment on that side though hhahhahaha.

lili zhong: The best tip I can give you is to make an appointment to have a massage at Art Massage. This is one of the best massage I have ever had. The folks there really know what they are doing. The folks at Art Massage are very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. The best massage staff around. They can really help if you are having any kind of muscular or other orthopedic problem that needs attention from a massage. I highly recommend Art Massage and suggest you make an appointment to see for yourself just how good they are at what they do.
C A: This place just opened close-by to home so I was excited to see this place opening and hoping for a great experience to be a regular customer. Unfortunately, it all fell below expectations. Greeting service from the manager was not good, immediately showed her primary objective is collecting money as soon as possible. They advertise a 1 hour massage for $85 but jack another $10 for deep tissue and another $5 for credit card payment, so really it's $100. Then, to make matters worse they shorted me 13 minutes, my receipt is time stamped so I know for sure. The massage itself was just ok and felt rushed with zero interest in finding the knots and tight spots to work them out. A $120 (I still tipped her) massage should feel terrific! Disappointed, can't recommend based off this experience.

Sneaker Jacks: Place is not organized or professional at all. I called for an appointment and was told to arrive at 1130am. They are across the street from me so I wanted to give these guys a chance. I arrive at 1130am and no one is visible. Finally someone comes out and I inform them of my appointment. With the very limited English they told me to wait until 12pm. I ask why since I was told to arrive at 1130am. She seemed not to understand me. Another person came out and told me to wait until 12pm. No one gave me an answer that I can understand. Both ladies began to argue with each other and I eventually left disappointed and upset that my time was wasted. I ultimately drove to Virginia for my massage even though these guys were across the street. SMH

Tara Fries: This spa experience was unreal, in the best way possible. Arguably the best massage of my life! My husband and I went in for a couples massage for my birthday and it was a lovely experience. The spa itself is really nice but also the people working there and the massage therapists were both professional and nice. The massage therapists gave us a run down of the experience and asked us if we had any specific preferences prior to starting. We also got champagne following our massage experience! highly recommend
Erika Walker: Booked a girls spa day with friends. We were all delighted with our services and left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. My two friends had massages with 2 different therapists which exceeded their expectations. I had the body scrub and I'm still marveling at how soft my skin feels thanks to Tina! No corners were cut and everyone went above and beyond despite us arriving a little late. The booking process was also very easy and I have a new friend in Ms. Dara who was so friendly and eager to ensure all of our needs were met.

Morgan Williams: The reason I gave this spa a 4 rather than a 5 is for lack of communication. I was a new customer at this spa and signed up for a Fab Facial. I knew that a consultation came with the facial and that they may make some recommendations. The issue that I had was the technician (I think it was Valyntena) did not clarify what portion of the actual treatment was included in the package and what would be extra. I felt misled when I got to the counter and my bill had DOUBLED due to the extra treatments she had done. I didn’t feel like I had the option to choose what I was comfortable paying for versus what I would have left out. The treatment itself was amazing. My face felt and looked great afterward. I just wish my technician had been clearer. My only advice is before they start on the facial would be to clarify what is included in your package and what will cost extra. Not all the technicians will tell you if you do not ask.
Sophie: I am very disappointed in my experience. I planned a spa day for my mom as a gift and had pre-selected the services we would receive. When I went to pay, the bill had DOUBLED because the esthetician who did my mom’s facial had changed the facial I had scheduled and added additional enhancements. She did not inform her that the price would be different. What should have been a relaxing day with my mom turned into me feeling taken advantage of.

Alanna Purdy Montesinos: The following is meant to provide feedback for management, not individual masseuses. I found several areas of improvement were needed at Massosport Massage. I picked Massosport over any other massage business because I had expected a sports massage, not massage for relaxation or tension, but I unfortunately this was not the case even though I booked a sports-focused massage. The massage was not particularly helpful for improving athletic performance, increasing flexibility or relieving tension. In addition, there were basic intake and customer treatment practices that were absent that could improve the consumer and staff experience. To begin with, the intake form provided by the receptionist prior to my appointment did not inform my session, nor did the receptionist provide a copy of my responses to the masseuse prior to my session. The form asked for personal information like illnesses, sport and fitness activity, areas of concern and desired pressure, but these factors were not integrated into the massage. In addition, before the massage I communicated verbally to the masseuse that it would be great for them to focus on 3 areas (shoulders, scalp, legs) during a 1 hour long session, but the masseuse only focused on one (my shoulders). I found this odd because I indicated I am a runner on the intake form, and the business is supposed to focus on spirts-related muscle work. After spending 55 minutes on my shoulders, the masseuse worked on ONE leg for <5 minutes and never worked on the other leg before the session was over. If there was not enough time to work on all three areas of my body during a one hour session, the masseuse could have asked me which area they should prioritize, or just priotized my legs since I am a runner and Massosport DC is supposed to specialize in sports-related treatment. I was also surprised to have the masseuse devote an unequal amount of time to each leg, as balance and equity amongst pair body parts can have huge impacts on sports performance and your risk of injury. The masseuse also never once asked about whether the pressure they were using was appropriate or how they should further tailor the massage treatment, which ultimately resulted in no tension being relieved in the muscle groups they worked on. After the massage, I was disappointed to receive very limited feedback about the level of tension or presence of injuries in the muscle groups worked, and did not receive suggestions as to what stretches I could do at home to improve muscle function before my next appointment. Lastly, in the process of rescheduling my appointment, the receptionist failed to mention that there was a price discrepancy between my original appointment (with an intern) and my rescheduled appointment (with a different therapist). The resulting appointment was 1.5x the original price. At $134 the appointment price point was set extremely high for the quality of massage and relief I experienced both during and after the treatment. As this is a business with FTE and not independent contractors, I believe the aforementioned factors are things that would be easy for the business to train its employees to do consistently with each appointment. Rosetta Watkins: I recently fell down a flight of stairs head first with my grandbaby in my arms. He was good tucked him close to me as I went down. That was Saturday. I visited the emergency room . I was instructed to rest however I was getting even more emobile, and even more pain. So I called to see if I could get a massage treatment with Keith who is outstanding. After a hour and a half I got up with less paint. This is my second visit @ Massosport and will not be my last. I feel so much better. Thank you Keith

When I first discovered Massosport DC, I was intrigued with the specific massage techniques that addresses my key issues. The owner and head therapist was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. The massage studio is in a prime location and provides a feeling of serenity. I have now made this massage treatment a routine when I prepare to engage in major fitness activities. I have noticed increased flexibility and faster recovery times. I would recommend this location for people of all fitness levels. 5 stars.

Geraldine Oh: My husband treated me to a wonderful spa day here yesterday for an early Mother's Day present and I was blown away by how wonderful my experience would be! Amazing service, super clean, very professional staff, and I was treated with the best care during my facial and massage. Everything was explained to me very thoroughly so that I knew what I was getting. Not a minute was wasted, and the wonderful lady taking care of me made sure that I was comfortable at all times (making sure the volume was good, making sure the temperature of the room and water was to my liking, etc). I was super relaxed and very happy at the end of my session. I highly recommend it here!
Terrie Jeschke: I really didn't use the spa. My rating is for the Mandarin itself. It WAS beautiful. The staff WAS very polite and helpful. And the bathrooms WERE probably the most extravagant I have seen. But it was impossible to walk to the museums or the wharf area requiring that you get a taxi or a Lyft. The hotel is the first one I have ever seen without ANY kind of convenience store where you could pick up a few drinks for the in room fridge or a late night snack. All the chargeable drink/food items had been removed from said fridge for some unknown reason. No coffeemaker in the room. So your only choice if you wanted an evening cup of coffee or snack was room service. Cumbersome. No restaurant or convenience store within walking distance The only eating option was the two places in the hotel. The second night there I ate a pack of mints and prayed for morning so I could get breakfast. Also, beds way too soft. I love my husband but sharing the same crevasse in the middle of a mattress was not comfortable

Miku: Spa is nice, but not worth the price. In the women’s section there was only a small jet pool, a steam room (with not enough steam), and a shower. A lot smaller and less luxurious than I expected.

Very poor collection of nail polish colors but most important how it has been done, the tech Tonya lightly touched my cuticles and unfortunately she has no knowledge how to apply gel nail polish, she did not even sealed the ends. So It was chipped right after I went upstairs to my room. I attached the pic of my nails, and how fresh mani should look like!!!!! She fixed it right after I pealed them off myself by just simply polishing them, YET I WAS CHARGED FOR SUCH A POOR SERVICE! $50 for such many is ridiculous! Tonya did a great job with my facial though. My skin looked much cleaner and it was well hydrated. Shakira did my massage and it was beyond my expectations! I highly recommend her!
Jake Hockman: I will start by saying I have had a lot of massage / spa experiences over the years. I will also state that I am very hesitant to criticize any establishment unless I am truly displeased with the services. I have never posted a negative review to google or yelp. I purchased the time rituals experience for wife and I as an anniversary gift. We arrived 15 minutes early as requested with all required forms. I must say that the staff was very kind and welcoming. We were given tea and taken to our rooms. I estimate that we were at least 15 minutes into our allotted time before my therapist begin any sort of treatment. I would expect that room and equipment prep would have been taken care of during our early arrival. When my treatment began, we started with massage. During pretreatment I described that my feet and back of scalp were the areas I desired focus on. My therapist spent minimal time on my scalp and almost no time on my feet. She spent excessive amounts of time prepping, or moving the towel, or tinkering with who-knows-what during my massage. She also spent excessive amounts of time simply holding my arms or legs or head and not actually providing massage therapy. Furthermore, she put me into stretching positions, which I am usually fine with, but she was less than gentle and actually left my right shoulder aching and sore still today. To her credit, I am not an extremely flexible person but she seemed to not recognize this and when she put my hips and thighs in pain, I had to inform her that I was not that pliable. When it came time for my facial treatment, there was more excessive preparation and there were periods of 4 or 5 minutes where I was simply lying there. Then while my facial was between steps there was a halfhearted shoulder and neck massage provided. She spent much time simply holding my head and it truly seemed as if she were just stalling until the time was up. She ended our session about 5 minutes before our scheduled time slot expired, which I assume was to allow me time to dress and exit. As none of the amenities (hot tub, sauna, etc) are available this was the end of my treatment, which I understand is not the fault of the spa. I would at least think something additional would be offered as part of an extremely expensive package such as the time rituals. As if to cap off our dismal experience we were served what was possibly the cheapest glass of champagne I have ever had. I am not a champagne connoisseur by any means but neither I nor my wife could take more than 1 or 2 sips before leaving the drink behind. Then upon leaving, the valet took our card and was gone for several minutes only to return not knowing which car ours was and had left our windows down with our belongings in plain view. I will say my wife was somewhat please with her session. She requested only massage and declined the facial. Although, she had to request lighter pressure a few times and, similar to me, did not receive attention to her requested focus areas; she was overall pleased with her therapist. At a price tag of $1,200 for less than (3) hours of treatment per person, I would expect the service and experience to be better. I was thoroughly disappointed and I think that other patrons who chose the Mandarin for a special occasion should think twice before spending such amounts of money on a subpar service.
Breanna Valente: The Spa is nothing short of perfection. The moment you walk in, you're transported to a calm, serene oasis. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They take your shoes and coat for you and offer a delicious cup of chamomile tea when you arrive. I felt the stress leave my body, and I was so relaxed. I love the vitality pool and experience shower, and my favorite thing is the amethyst steam room. I wish I could live in there, but the recommended session is ten minutes! 😄 I got the Om Effect treatment, which is for detoxifying and balancing. I felt so Zen. Not to mention, my whole body is so smooth and soft now. If you're wondering which fancy-pants spa you want to visit in D.C., this is the one.
Reema Malek: The Spa is nothing short of perfection. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I love the vitality pool and experience shower, and my favorite thing is the amethyst steam room. Only down side is no couples massage. The rooms in the hotel are also a divine experience
Deanna Gutrick: This review is long overdue. I’m actually surprised to see how many low star reviews this place received but my visit was fabulous! My boyfriend booked a reservation for a mani pedi, massage and customized facial for my birthday this past year in July. Upon arriving, they already knew my name and address me as upon arrival. I was taken to a small room to prepare. There filled out a form, had a small glass of water and was given shoes and a robe then directed to a locker area to store my things. The massage was everything! She massuse took her time. I even feel asleep! This was my first spa experience and my only regret, is that I didn’t arrive earlier to utilize the other amenities of the spa. I plan to return pretty soon and take my mom.

Kate Kay: Ms. Kwon is THE BEST! I’ve had hundreds of massages around the world and she has hands of an angel. Don’t let her small demeanor fool you, she is incredible strong and always finds the spots that need the most attention. If you like deep massage and a mix of stretching, this is your place. I constantly have tension headaches and immediately go to Ms. Kwon and she helps release the tension quickly. I feel loose, relaxed and healed by the time I leave. I enjoy the ginger tea she gives you when you leave. In addition, you can buy massage packages that are a great value. Also, it’s super convenient you can text to make an appointment.
Chloe: This is my favorite massage ever! Yes, you have to text to make an appointment and the office is not very elegant, but the massage therapists are the very best. I have chronic pain and after I have a massage here I feel like a new person.
John Vo: Very unassuming place. Starting with the appointment system which is basically to send them a text message. When you get to the building you have to go downstairs and that's also not elegant, with the hallways being fixed up with new drywall and joint compound. But when you walk inside, the office smells like you just entered Thailand. The ladies were very welcoming and the actual massage was awesome. We agreed we might not be able to do other massages the same.
Jasmine Savoy: Best massage I ever had. My pain/stiffness usually comes back after driving home. But this massage lasted me. They got out alot of knots a regular massage misses. Worth the 85 and a $20+ tip! Wish I could remember my masseuse name, she was great!
Clifford Ehrlich: Great massage! Wonderful therapists who individualize the massage for each client. Laying flat on a mattress without a head cradle is not the most comfortable position, but that is a minor complaint. I highly recommend giving ThaiTasTik a try!

Jerry Kozak: Excellent, legit Thai massage (deep tissue, with some slightly acrobatic stretching). It is in the basement of an apartment building, but there are other businesses down there and it's a legitimate business (front desk, waiting area, etc.) Highly recommend, I feel great.
