JewelryClassDC: what do users think?

Amy Ruddle: JewelryClass DC has been one of the best experiences of my life! I am a jewelry maker with a small business and was looking for a way to improve my skill set to expand my offerings. Dan gave me a tour of the amazing studio, and I took his introductory class to get started. I quickly realized I wanted to do the extended study program, and that has been extremely satisfying. In the six months I’ve been working at the studio, I’ve seen my skill set grow exponentially, and I’ve now found a community of jewelers and goldsmiths who are a constant source of support and creativity. Dan continues to be available any time I have a question about a project, and he is constantly doing demonstrations of new techniques and styles. Truly an invaluable experience for any level of jeweler.

Vincent: I have been taking classes here since May 2021. The studio is very well equipped, and I always feel as though I am learning the correct way to perform any given task. The classes are challenging and sometimes I get frustrated, but I always walk away knowing that I have learned something new and created a quality piece of jewelry. Even in the frustrating times, Dan is more than willing to spend one-on-one time with students to ensure they are completing the assignments correctly. Aside from group classes, I also worked with Dan to design and fabricate an engagement ring for my fiancé. This experience was great! We were both on the same page with what we wanted to achieve. Dan was very patient throughout and made sure that we made the perfect ring for my fiancé (who also takes classes from Dan). This time was invaluable to me and the development of my skillset. -Great teacher -Great equipment -Great people

Kim Hay: Best in DC for jewelry making classes. Thirty benches, wide array of tools, methods, metals and settings. Dan is way helpful to all students in his classes!

Stephanie Wong: I personally recommend Jewelryclassdc if you are interested in fabricating jewelry in precious metals, regardless if you are a beginner wanting to learn the creative skill or a practitioner wanting to hone your skill – you will agree with me that there is always something new to learn in jewelry fabrication! Dan Valencia and his assistants are highly experienced and encouraging, key to grow and sustain interest in a skill that requires long hours of practice. I was a beginner in metalsmithing when I started Metal l classes 2 years ago. After only a few classes, I was hooked on creating and making beautiful Sterling Silver pieces with gemstones – yes, all the pieces you create and make in class are in Sterling Silver! I took a few Metal ll classes and intensive workshops in soldering, flush setting and etching, before I enrolled for the Extended Study program that allows more days, flexible hours and private instructions at the studio. I was assigned a fully-equipped individual work bench and have access to a wide array of tools available at the studio. Jewelryclassdc is very well equipped with tools, acquired for professional and personal reasons, ranging from the latest laser welding machine to century-old antique anvils, hammers and punches. It is such a joy using the mix of high-tech and traditional tools to create the beautiful jewelry pieces. During my extended study program, I worked with Dan to design and create my own jewelry collection. I must say I have improved immensely from where I started, from having only vague ideas of what I wanted to create to realizing them into gorgeous pieces. Dan also organizes field trips to New York City once a semester for all extended study students to meet with the jewelry industry players such as gems/diamonds manufacturers and dealers – a valuable engagement especially for those wanting to build a viable jewelry making business.

David Lee: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueDan the Man! I went into this class thinking why? Now I know why. From day 1 Dan helped me every step of the way. The value you get from the classes is unmatched from any jewelry school I’ve researched on the east coast. I’m now taking metals II and love every second of it.

Diane Millar: I just finished the Metals I intensive class and it was GREAT! I knew nothing about metal work at all, and I finished 3 rings, 2 pairs of earrings, and a bracelet. The materials we used were all of the highest quality - so all of the end products look very professional. The whole studio is really well-equipped and the class size small - so you can get lots of help, while learning the right way to do things. Dan and Emily were both great teachers - taking us step by step and answering any/all questions as we went. I really enjoyed the creative challenge of each process. Highly recommended if you want to learn how to make high quality, professional jewelry. Many thanks!

Wear Ever Jewelry: what do users think?

Ronak Patel: I highly recommend visiting Wear Ever! It’s in a great area with plenty of things to do. In addition, the couple’s jewelry making class is super fun and the rings you leave with are really nice. It is a bit pricey but not unreasonable given the equipment you have access to and what you leave with. I didn’t get a chance to check out the jewelry they have to offer but I definitely plan on going back.

Janet Lipscomb: Thankful to have found Wear Ever Jewelry. Jennifer is a creative and calm teacher. If you want to learn how to make jewelry, the classes here are great!

Vlad Kovalevski: We did a ring making class at the studio and it turned out to be an amazing experience. Beth and Jennifer, who teach the class, are true professionals and excellent teacher - they will walk you through every step and provide help, if needed, to make sure you leave with the ring that looks good and can be wearable every day. Highly recommend!

Dawn Young: Loved it! Jennifer is an excellent instructor. Looking forward to the next class.

Jennifer Jiggetts: Wear Ever Jewelry truly is a gem in the DMV area. Their ring making course proved to be the perfect date night for my girlfriend and I. It exceeded expectations and the instructor was extremely knowledgeable about metal-smithing. We needed no experience to participate in the course. Wear Ever followed COVID-19 precautions so we felt safe. They even offered Oreos during the three-hour course! What a great bonding experience for couples!

Tiny Jewel Box: what do users think?

Shahin Yousefzadeh: I’ve always felt a sense of warm welcoming here from the first moment I visited a few months ago. From the man greeting me to my right when I first walk in, to Brian the most helpful and kind person that guided me through my experience, and to Matt the owner who makes you feel like he just welcomed you to his own home. The quality of service and attention to detail working with Brian is beyond what my expectations were. This has to be the first and only place to come when seeking to purchase jewelry, watches, or gifts to build memories with loved ones.

Adam: Fantastic experience from each employee I have met there. But more specifically, my wife and had a wonderful shopping experience with Brian Ehteshami when we tried on and later purchased a Rolex. From the time we first visited to when the GMT became available, Brian displayed professionalism, an excellent sense of humor, and set realistic expectations for a brand in high demand world-wide. I have confidently recommended and will continue to recommend TJB to others for their great service, extensive selection of Swiss watches, and high quality jewelry.

Jeff Mccarthy: What a great experience here today. Both Monette and Jorge were amazing and I highly recommend them. Thanks so much!

Kwadwo Tuffour: I had an excellent experience of purchasing my first rolex thanks to Pouriya and everyone else at Tiny Jewel Box. Great people that are dedicated to helping their customer, so I look forward to going back here and I dont hesitate to recommend friends whenever they ask me.

Tiffany & Co.: what do users think?

Fuad Al-Aali: I totally disagree with the previous reviews. Outstanding customer service. Store led by Loni and her team did a fabulous job in communicating and explaining the differing qualities on diamonds, gold colors which is better yellow, pink or white. Very informative and extremely patient. Loni and staff thanks so much for your help.

Carol G: Fantastic customer service! Your staff saved me a trip when I was short on time and received the item next morning at 8am. Thank you!

Lee Cox: The store is very beautiful. An incredibly attentive, polite, and extremely proper woman greeted us at the door. She was so great. She took our name and showed us to the engagement rings. They must have gotten very busy at that moment. Someone came to assist us, and then went to finish up with another guest. My day hadnt been the best, so my patience was short. As i began to get upset and prepared to leave, the woman that greeted us came over. She immediately calmed me down, and got us assistance right away. Lonnie came and let my wife try on the ring she had her eyes on, then gave us lots of information. As we exited, the woman who greeted us offered kind words and was so attentive. The prices were unbelievably low for the outstanding quality of the jewelry here. We live nearly an hour away, and there are many jewelers and even some Tiffany stores along the way. For the outstanding job the wonderful woman that welcomed us into the store, im so sorry i didnt get her name. For her, we will return to that store and make our purchase there. Refined, attentive, pleasant as can be, she is truly a rare and exquisite employee.

Helena Brown: Tatiana was amazing. If you want to have the best experience, work with her!

Lola Ajayi: Two part story: For Christmas my boyfriend bought me a bracelet from Tiffany’s online but it ended up being a little small, so we decided to go into the Chevy Chase location to exchange it on New Years Day. Before going in, I also had in mind that I might exchange the bracelet for a different bracelet altogether or a necklace. When we arrived we were greeted by a nice woman who told us she would bring a sales associate over to us and one came over pretty quickly. My sales associate’s name was J. Castillo. My issue with our sales associate was that she didn’t seem very warm or inviting. I believe that when it comes to customer service, you have to be overly nice and inviting to make clients feel like you truly care about their needs. Her demeanor pretty much made me feel I should just quickly handle whatever I needed to do and get out of there. When I decided what I wanted, she put in the the pouch and box and did not offer to rewrap the box. We also purchased a coffee table box and she didn’t offer to wrap it either. I personally think that she should have at least offered to rewrap the jewelry and box and wrap the book because that would have been good/usual customer service to me. I just didn’t feel like my business mattered there. My mom bought jewelry, perfumes, and colognes from this location when I was a kid and I remember the service being better. The next day, I go to the City Center location because the necklace I ended up getting wasn’t as long as I would have liked. I didn’t try it on in the Chevy Chase location because my sales associate turned me off. My sales associate at the City Center location was 10x better. Her name was Nathalie and she put different chains on me to help me see what would be best for me. She offered me a place to put my coat. She gave me the option to get a custom length chain if I didn’t like the ones that originally came with the necklace. She was very conversational and helpful. Truly accommodating and sweet. I will be coming back to her again! Nathalie was everything and more that the first sales associate I experienced was not.

New York Jewelry Design Institute: what do users think?

Jenith Gomez: I have been in the jewelry for many years and I always wanted to take a drawing class. The dream came to reality when I took the rendering class at New York Jewelry Design Institute. The class did not only gave me the insights to jewelry technical drawing, but also the next steps to continue pursuing my dreams in the Jewelry world. In addition to taking the class Jenine goes the extra mile to advice and walk close with you on your next steps of your journey. I love the fact that the school stays focused on teaching the essential classes of jewelry design, and keeps close relationships with students and alumni. There is a great sense of community present in the school. I highly recommend the New York Jewelry Design Institute.

Diana Gerson: I was looking to learn CAD for jewelry design. I looked at many programs and then I stumbled across NYJDI. What a blessing!! NYJDI offers private lessons for CAD and Jenine provides the highest level of education to master it! She take the time to understand how a student best learns and helps them to meet and exceed their goals. Beyond CAD, I have taken other classes and workshops at NYJDI and highly recommend them to anyone looking to learn more about jewelry. NYJDI is amazing for both industry professionals who looking to expand their skills or people just starting on their jewelry journey with a dream.

Julia Wang Lee: This week I took a 5 day water color workshop with Remy Rotenier. Again, I learned so much and loved the class! It was such an honor to be able to learn from a master who has been a jewelry designer for over 30 years. I noticed a drastic improvement with my sketching and painting skills in just five days. He is humble, kind, easy to talk to, and encouraging. I truly enjoyed being in his class and wish I can learn more from him! I took the Rapid Rendering class with Jenine and liked it very much. Students without drawing experience can come out of the class with beautiful renderings of their design. I learned a lot of valuable and practical things to improve my design skill. Janine is also very warm and approachable. Not only is she a skilled designer, she also has a wealth of information on the jewelry industry. Highly recommend this school to people who are interested to be in the jewelry industry.

sylvia agus: I came from Indonesia to learn how to use CAD and rendering. I had a great time studying in a short span of 10 days. I was reading the reviews online regarding the courses and Ms.Jenine is a very fun, passionate yet always welcome questions. She ensured that I had everything thing I need, from the books that she recommend to different pen tips. At the end of the class, she introduced me to a casting office and the bench jewelers to create my first piece that I designed.

Ilean Galloway: Vashti is an excellent instructor. She enriches the knowledge associated with the course objectives by infusing in class discussions the business acumen she gained through her experiences as a world class jewelry designer. The discussions and assignments caused me to dive deeper into my aspirations and to truly identify and follow my passion.

Nicole Bryan: Truly amazing class. After completing the jewelry rendering course I felt so much more confident in the quality of designs and drawings that I can present to my clients. Jenine is a fabulous instructor that truly helps guide you to create a solid jewelry line.

Cherry D Inigo: This was truly one of the best things I did for myself. Jenine is a awesome teacher, patient and kind. I am hooked on designing jewelry and colored crayons and watercolor paint. My chirstimas list will definitely look different this year and I am truly opened to this art. To see from the beginning how a beautiful piece of jewelry is created from my personal inspiration and my classmates own beautiful ideas and see it manifest unto paper to a piece of jewelry is amazing. This is a school with great people who truly love to create and like to add to the jewelry industry with awesome instructors from the industry itself who enjoy teaching students their gifts and talents. Check them out.

Item NY: NYJDI offers a great class for anyone interested in exploring cad design software. If you are serious and passionate about it... you will have a great time. the software (3Design) is fantastic and easy to learn. Jenine will walk you through all the necessary steps to get you started. Jenine is a committed and passionate person who gives her 100%. Today I enjoy designing and creating jewelry for others and I am so glad that I was introduced to NYJDI and Jenine. Boaz S.

King's Jewelry: what do users think?

Ashley Arnold: I can’t say enough nice things about King’s Jewelry! My Fiancé designed my engagement ring there. It is INCREDIBLE!! They are so kind and helpful. They polish my jewelry all the time. They also take care of my fiancé’s watches. As a bonus, they are family owned and have been there for many many years! They really take care for us and we will be life long customers! They are the best of the best!

Hayley Robinett: King’a Jewelry is a wonderful family owned business. My fiancé took and purchased all of our wedding rings here and I’m so glad that we did. My engagement ring is an old family heirloom and King’s did an incredible job repairing and strengthening it without changing the look. Catharine also designed a custom wedding band to fit flush with my ring and it’s absolutely stunning. They have a great selection of mens rings and found a beautiful ring for my fiancé. We couldn’t be happier with their customer service and professionalism. Everyone is welcoming and friendly and makes it a fun process! If you are looking for a jeweler, please check out Kings Jewelers!

Crystal Park: The best customer service ever! Thank you to Greg and Stephen for resizing/fixing my engagement ring and for helping me choose the perfect wedding band for my fiancé! This is the best place to go for rings, watches, even for some fancy blades. Also, this is the first jewelry shop I’ve been to where I haven’t felt judged because of how I look or how much money I was willing to spend. On top of that - they’ve been SUPER COVID SAFE!! Thank you again!! I’ll be back!!

Michael Shammas: Always an absolute pleasure coming to Kings. I see no reason to go to any other jewelry store! Professional, knowledgable, personable, beautiful pieces from watches to necklaces, earrings, etc.

Rebecca Hawkins: Beautiful store and helpful staff! I went in today looking to repair a necklace and a very kind associate made a few adjustments for free! Will definitely be back. Thank you!

Jonathan Samuels: King’s jewelry is such a wonderful and rare jewelry store, and I had an excellent experience when I went to get my jewelry repaired here. The customer service was friendly and efficient, and the time was minimal. I went in to get four necklaces repaired and the store generously offered to fix the necklaces without charge due to the clasps breaking. Not only did they fix the necklaces quickly, but while I was in the store, the level of professionalism and care was evident to each and every customer. They fixed customer’s batteries in their watches, helped in ring shopping, and assisted in jewelry repair. This family owned business is a gem and I will most definitely be bringing my future jewelry business back here to King’s jewelry store. You will not be disappointed if you come here and it is in the heart of Old town so it is easy to access driving or by foot. Thank you!

Jenn T: I currently am taking the "Intro to Metals" class. This is a very hands on, and you learn a lot in a small time frame. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and want you to succeed whether its for fun or making a business out of it. Highly recommended. They will also have flash weekend rates if you want to use the studio, sometimes its free!

BETH LAVALLEE: I heard about BJC about a year ago and began taking classes. It is an incredible community, teachers with vast knowledge and experience, fellow students who inspire and support each other. Baltimore is blessed to have a resource for artists and anyone in the community that wants to explore this medium. If you have not checked them out, you should!!

Sheri Collins: Moved to Bmore in 2010 and spent years frantically and unsuccessfully looking for an art studio to work/take classes in. Gave up until now and am so thrilled to have found an established studio of artists offering everything I was looking for!

Patricia: A great place to learn jewelry making on an artistic level. Some classes are available online during the corona virus pandemic.

Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum: what do users think?

Kersten Chisti Dryden: We went to see the Burning Man exhibit. Beautiful gallery, with lots of different rooms. We easily spent 3 hours in here, there was so much to take in, on all sensory levels. Lots of interactive art, including a VR experience, and a carved wooden chapel with little pieces of wood that you can write to loved ones who have passed, and add to the exhibit. Very well produced, all together.

Pakeezha: This is one of my favorite museums. It’s easy to get there and pretty small and they change their exhibitions in every few months which makes you want to go and visit more often. It’s always fascinating seeing the new designs. it can get crowded at peak times but they control the amount of people that can enter which is very nice.

Miss Guided: I visited the burning man experience. My niece and I wanted to be the simulator experience. The nasty worker said was very rude and nasty. Other than that the exhibit was amazing. I cannot take people’s action in account for how wonderful the museum is. Definitely a must see!!! It wasn’t too crowded on the Monday we went which was Labor Day. It was difficult to get some good picture of the mushrooms because of the crowds but still enjoyable. The exhibit is very tranquil and nice.

Ashton Menefee: Really cool museum to hit when in DC, awesome rotating exhibits. We saw the Burning Man, Dustin Farnsworth, and Crime Scene Diorama exhibits on a few visits. It’s an easy walk from anywhere in DC, close to the White House, and worth a stop if you want to see something different.

K A: I visited the Renwick Gallery with my family last fall and i was impressed with all the beautiful and extraordinary exhibits. The David’s best temple caught my gaze with its glow and I also love the disrupting Craft. A great museum rich in history and packed with lots of exceptional crafts. It’s a must see if you are visiting DC. I highly recommend to all tourists, locals, craft and art lovers.

H J: The burning man exhibition was on when we attended and it was a really good one. The space within the museum was used really well and the exhibits combined interactive, traditional and contemporary style pieces that appealed to the whole family. Definitely worth a visit once you are done with the White House! Recommended

Macy's: what do users think?

Muniba Khan: Stopped by from out of town since the weather ended up being a lot colder than expected. We were able to find some winter wear for a reasonable price, although I wish they had a wider selection of warm coats and some gloves for these cold fronts. Everyone that helped us was super great and friendly!

Jacqueline Francis: I went with my daughter to return a sport jacket and to look around for any new items. My daughter met her former coworker who was kind enough to assist with her return. The experience painless and without incident. After the return, we made our to the children department. My daughter wanted to see if there anything new out for babies 18-24 months. There were some times, but nothing much that caught her. My grandson did grab a footsie pajama and my daughter saw a cute pair of sneakers and a tee shirt. Very cute 😍! The checkout rep was very friendly, and he was the manager. Overall, a great experince🙏🙏🙏

Bonanza Coins - Gold & Jewelry Buyers: what do users think?

Leslie Joyce: Julian is thoughtful and walks you through the evaluation of your collection to steer you best in what to keep or sell. The store has a ton of treasures if you are willing to take the time to search through there boxes.

Justine Taweel: I dealt with Alex at Bonanza. He was friendly, professional, and my transaction was completed in a timely manner. I came in to sell a gold chain I had, and it was apparently worth more than I originally thought. Alex seemed very knowledgeable and I would recommend dealing with him for anyone looking to sell jewelry- I had a great experience here!

Gordon Cameron: First time transaction with Julian/Bonanza. Reasonable price for a highly graded coin, shipped quickly, arrived quickly, packaged well and discreet. Very pleased, looking forward to future business!
